Gooday Gaming Guests - My Overnight and Morning was Change by visit to the Emergency Room

Luckily, We only live minutes away from the hospital to get her there quickly. Hopefully everything will be OK.

Good morning everyone. It's actually a lot later than normal for me. It's now 7.30. So let's talk a little bit different this morning. Let's talk caretaking. My mother, who's now 84, has been pretty healthy. She wasn't feeling well in the middle of the night so i had to take her over to the emergency room so she's staying there for the night to have a look at they're

gonna take a look at her and she said she was cold and shivering all night so so yeah so so it kind of changes my i'm a routine kind of guy so I got up in the middle of the night luckily we only lived like five minutes from the hospital so bringing her to the emergency room was pretty easy to do although in the middle of the night and then what I did is I slept with the dogs

in her big bed as opposed to sleeping on my bed so that was a little bit of an adjustment for me. And I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm going to call this morning, see what's going on, see what they're going to come up with.

But it's like anything else, as you're caretaking, as we all age here, we never know what's going to happen. So it's kind of scary. Reality kind of sets in after a while, and you're like, especially as the years go by here, things changing and i can see them uh for me as well i'm getting a lot older too

extremely a lot older actually i really aged quickly on the last few years and so things are changing i don't know what's going to be next so i just got up. My dogs are still in bed. Because usually they're in bed with my mother. Until she gets up. Usually around like 10 or 11. I tried to stay in bed with them as long as I could.

But I have to get up and get stuff done. Because there still is another work day here. Before the Thanksgiving. And hopefully she'll be back for Thanksgiving but if they need to keep her for the night to do whatever they can to help her out it would be great

she's been fairly healthy she's 84 but a healthy 84 she hasn't really had many issues in the last few years every once in a while something comes up but more so now as you as we age here than before so hopefully we'll hope for the best and uh so if something were to happen that significantly would change everything

about what i do and where i'm at here so it's kind of scary in some ways, but I try to prepare for it as best I can because I never know when something might significantly change and then I have to kind of move on from there. But something I'm trying not to think about, but today was last night in the middle of the night was a reminder of how quickly things could change. So let's take a little look this morning. So my dogs are up. I'm going to get them out. We'll take a quick look this morning and see what's going on here. So... So we still have

technically a day before Thanksgiving so I can still ship out stuff today which I will I'll do my orders in a bit so yeah I really like routine.

So it's hard for me once I get off it a little bit here. Let's see where YouTube is. So I'm at 3,075 subs. That's pretty cool. So it's still increasing. Oh, yeah. I hit the 3,000 mark, which is exciting. I'm now at

$24.48. We're not making a million here. I've got to change a couple of my live feeds. I've got to get some actual

live thumbnails on there. Let's do that first. I was doing my guinea pigs this morning. Last night. Yesterday. So I'll do that one. And then I gotta go out and fix all my buddies for the morning. Clean them all up.

So I'm behind by a couple hours here. But it was just kind of stuck in the corner. Because the dogs were taking up most of the space. But that's fine. It took me a while. I have to sleep with a sound machine. So I had to bring a sound machine in the room because I can't sleep in silence. I'm so used to having a sound machine. Actually, I have two of them. I run two with kind of like different sounds

and that makes a really cool sound that way. So, I had to bring that in. This was probably 12, 1 o'clock this morning. I had to go bring it to the hospital. Emergency room. I'm sure I should probably stay the day, maybe. Overnight, just to get some valuations. All right, so. Emergency room. I'm sure she'll probably stay the day. Maybe overnight just to get some valuations.

So my first. Yesterday I did my first text adventure. So if you grew up. I'm 56. I grew up on Radio Shack TRS-80s. And. I decided. So instead of doing a story tonight, I came up with an idea last night. Oh, yes, that's my idea story.

So I've added a little bit of thing on that one. So it's day one. So as I was saying yesterday, I decided to do a text game back in the day pyramid was one I always remember TRC 80 shadowgate is probably more popular than people remember but there's lots of other ones I got some on my Vic 20 that are through a Scott Adams series that are text-based games. So two nights ago, not last night, the night before, I came up with an idea before I went to sleep. I said, let's see if I can get Zippy to make me a text-based game. And he can.

It's really fun. So he called it, I think it's the Island of Chat GPT or something. He called it. So I started the text-based game. I played for about a half hour and it makes a lot easier as opposed to a real game that you would play the original ones which are really really hard because you have to say you have to type in the exact commands like go up or get specter or something like that if you don't Then it doesn't understand it. Zippy makes it a lot easier.

So it's really really fun. So I played for about a half hour. And I'm not sure if he's already finished the game. Like in his head. In his Zippy AI brain there. Or he's just kind of winging it. As I decide what I want to do. So it's really fun.

Something I came up with. I was like oh this is really cool. Because I've been, I did the opposite. I took some of the old games like Pyramid, I set up ChatGPT, and then I was trying to stop playing it, but I was typing in

what it was saying where I am so I could get a visual from AI as opposed to doing everything as just imagination. So I had done that before. I'm going to do that some more, but it's a lot of typing involved. Because my text page is,

text game properties, everything is all typing. So we had a little action with that this morning, so that'll be fun. So I'll continue on that. So I'll do some stories, and then I'll also do my game. I'm at day one. So I'm on an island.

I'm looking for treasure. There's a specter and you find all kinds of stuff. It's really fun. And I thought it would fit really good in with my podcast. Hey, I'll do a game through my podcast i can do that all right let's see what's going on now i'm on ebay way behind today but it's been quiet let's see if it's just uh messages so i never know what's gonna happen anyway you had high you see it all these not as described stuff very high yeah let's see a lot of these people would see the eBay's because of those things I get for as not described and stuff your rate is high yeah so that means my feedback goes down and then I have a request for

resolve this request so lots of those not as described are exactly as described they're just there's no way to say hey wait a minute now the provider hasn't arrived. Update the tracking. Item said it was out for delivery since... Has said it's been out for delivery since the 15th. And I believe it's lost in the mail. Nothing's usually lost in the mail. The odds of things getting lost in the mail are pretty... Um...

So there's the tracking information, So, so it delivered. It's one of those things where once in a while I'll get a buyer that says it delivered, yet, uh, they said they didn't get it. Um, no, I guess it hasn't delivered yet. So let's see, let's check the tracking, oh, Jesus, so I'm in Rhode Island, um, this guy's in Anchorage, Alaska, oh, come on, man, why you open up a thing for that, that's silly, so I'm shipping this from Rhode Island to Alaska, and he opened up a running late thing, I'll have a delivery November 15th, yeah, so that's, it's expected, yeah, so it's been stuck, so so i'm gonna so if you got a problem on your end uh when it comes to once it gets to you or you have to kind of the buyer has to figure out what's going on i have no control i can't go to uh anchorage alaska and you have to go to the post

office you gotta talk to your mailman so whenever this comes up this is And you have to go to the post office. You have to talk to your mailman. So whenever this comes up, this is what I have to do. A lot of buyers don't like what I have to say, but... Let's see. So you need to go to your main post office with tracking info to find the package. Because it's there. And I'm sure I'll just get Yeah, since the 15th it's been there.

But I probably need to go to the main post office. Uh. I have no way. In Rhode Island. To help. It. It is. It is still marked as delivering that means your main post office a lot of times buyers get these and then they just act as if they

don't because it the tracking never really corrects itself therefore they want to refund when they actually get it it's just the way it is it's still Your main post office. Main post office. Oops. Oh, God. Main post office. And mail. Oops, I got my head caps again.

And mail. Male, oops, I got my head caps again, and male, man, would have all the needed information to find your box. It says, I have no way around to help. still why it was it was what it was marked it was marked as delivered that means your main post office and or and or mailman would have all the needed need information to find your box there it's just for it's for a top it's for a bezel for an original Xbox one 0105 disk drive so we've been a little small box and the price paid was like $9. It cost me $8 to ship it. So, I don't know. So, that means my... So, I'm going to...

Today, we're going to... I'm going to hardly ever contact eBay. But because they're saying that... Oh, the guy bought some more for me. Yay. Sweet. Oh, boot drive. All right.

So I sold a few things. Nine of those. Eight. What did I pay? Nine. Oh, no, it's one. Phew. I was like, whoa.

So this guy completely whipped me out, which is great. Because I need the... I need the income to pay for my truck. So... I sold every single hard drive for the Xbox 360 I had. He got a really good deal for them and I could use the cash. It's been slow otherwise so some kind of project. Alright, so, we'll do that. So, I only have two orders, but they've been big orders, which have been... Normally, I don't have a lot of big orders. They're always small. make a dollar from here at one order or two dollars from another so it takes a long time to come up with some uh extra cash but thank goodness this buy really hooked me up again i retested every one of them everyone should work i tested and i retested so all right so let's see i have one of those yeah so I'm gonna see if I can contact

eBay today and really gripe about I'm getting punished for not as described all these guys that are returning crap that's has nothing that's either is as described or they're sending me back their junk it's it's just gotten crazy and now and of course i always get punished for everything on this from the having to pay the returns to all this nonsense and then ebay flips it on me and says it's all my fault and then i get punished i get uh my account

gets punished for it and And I have free returns. So people are going to return things anyway. So it's very frustrating. There's not an aspect about selling gaming parts. That is not frustrating. But I keep plugging away at it. Sometimes I wonder why. But I really.

I like to work from home and I really don't, can't really do anything else. I've been working on my YouTube though. Hopefully that'll get better. And also this podcast as well. I'm doing that significantly more. Three times a day now.

And I connected to Apple iPodcast so someday maybe something else will kind of pay off. I do have a GoFundMe page if you want to help donate, because I ain't making a million here. I did that for my creativity and all the hard work on YouTube. Again, I paid $23, and I've put in thousands of hours on there.

I'm up to 7,000 videos now. I just thought something. Once I got to that 4,000 mark, I thought I was going to make some much needed extra income, but it just didn't happen. I was really bummed

about that. You know when you get the anticipation of something and then it doesn't happen? It's kind of bummer. But reality said it now I get it so I added more stuff. All right so yeah so he's got nine. Okay so so we'll do three pounds again I don't think we really need two pounds alright so we'll get him out

yeah I'm gonna I'm gonna I can you can never get through to eBay but I want to see if I can get through today and I'm going to fight all this uh not as described nonsense and ebay wants you to have free returns yet they don't want people to return them and i pay for it so it shouldn't matter what they're saying. Because it's not true. I mean, there might have been one or two things. But it's described, but it's not perfect.

Like the heat sink set that I just went through. That whole debacle. Although I haven't got a bad feedback. Or do I? Hold on, let me check. I haven't looked here yet. I don't know what this is. I don't know. That's weird. So so i haven't seen him give me a bad feedback

yet so we did the whole heat sink thing yesterday i showed you how they look when they come out and then how well i gotta get my little buddy out all right so that's it for this morning and then we'll uh i gotta work on see how my mother's doing i'll get my dogs in's it for this morning.
