I made a few Key Rookie Seller Mistakes that cost me big Time.

Good morning everyone. It is 5.33 on December 10th. I think we're on a Tuesday. So over the weekend we did Santa photos. We got lots of fun videos and shorts you can look at. Pretty fun. And there was actually one of the shorts was us actually getting a picture taken. But today should be the day that they send me photos. So for number 61, they usually send you an email with some photos for your Santa thing. Really fun. I've been doing it for years. It's a little tradition I do with my mother and my dogs. Just great memories to have and good fun stuff. In the last few years, I've been doing videos along with it.

That was before my Miss Molly. She was my beagle i missed my miss molly i didn't do videos then with it i started doing with ranger and roxy uh i never did miss molly though she passed away a couple years ago 2022 right around this time of december uh it's pretty sad miss Missed my Miss Molly. But I got my Roxy and my Ranger, so I brought them with my mother. We had fun.

We were in and out really fast, which is nice. Alright, so yesterday I finished an all-day project and it kind of ended on a kind of a sour note i was kind of bummed out but it went to a good cause so i have to just kind of shake it off so i spent the whole

day uh putting the top of a trs-80 model 4 head into a box And then finally I got it shipped out last night. But the buyer gave me a good back story on what it's for. So it's kind of a real special thing. So even though I got really... Because I made two crucial mistakes, rookie mistakes. And it cost me on the end, big time. So the first thing is, it's the only ad listing I had that was for a pickup only, because I didn't want to ship it, and I didn't have a box for it. So when this buyer contacted me the other day, it just happened to be when we just got a huge box

in from walmart because we upgraded our oven so my mother could have something better to cook with so he contacted me and asked me to if you could get it for x amount with uh plus shipping i was like i i initially said no i'll pass. Because I didn't want to ship it. A couple days later I revisited it. And I was like alright. Maybe we'll do this. Sounds like a good time. I think I have a box I can get it in.

Get it in. I don't know if that's really the way to say that. But put it in. So I sent the message to him. And I said okay I'll revisit it. And I'll do it for X amount because I have free shipping so it had to be a little bit more.

I thought I was really going to cover the shipping but the two mistakes I made which I didn't realize on eBay was way back when, when I made the listing, I put it as local pickup only and I never added the shipping option because i didn't want to ship it so when i agreed so when i sent the guy the message i should went back to the listing and added shipping but i forgot or i didn't think about

it or i thought i could just do shipping anyway. Even though it just said local. So long story short. I could not. So he purchased it. I went to try to add shipping. And I couldn't do it. So I lost out. The biggest thing I lost out on. Was the fact that I couldn't print a shipping label.

Through eBay. And that was my demise. Because A. I lose out on the disc a huge discount when you when you print out shipping labels you get discount UPS so I ended up paying double probably what it would have cost me to ship it because so then I had to tell the guy there's this thing that goes on when you have a local pickup they give the buyer a code and when they go pick it up the buyer gives you the code and you can enter the code as it was picked up so that's kind of a cool concept i never knew that

before so instead what i should the second thing i should have done is, I really should have, I don't know. But he had already paid for it. And I was like, well, I can't print out a shipping label. I would need the code. So he gave me the code and the address. And I was like, all right, I'll just do it this way. Because I didn't want to cancel the order, refund him, and then have to wait to see when he could repay again. But that's what I should have done. And I would have added the shipping

option and then i would have been good to go but i went the opposite way so he gave me his address he gave me the code uh put the code in as it was marked as picked up and then i started my all day yesterday uh packing project and And unfortunately, when I finally got to UPS, I even got a video when I was at UPS and the guy was weighing it and doing the whole deal. I got the sticker shock

because they added like X amount for handling, which was a lot. And I think that's just because I brought it to them. Therefore, they're going to charge handling. It was a bummer, so I want to say three quarters of what I sold that for went just to ship it, it was a real bummer, so I was really bummed out, I left all bummed out, well, then I was like, I told the guys, no, I said to them, no, I'm not going to, I'm not going to do it, it's too much,

and it was raining out last night. It was stormy. It was cold. And I was like, yeah, I'm afraid of that. I don't want to bring this big giant box all the way back home. Then I'm going to have to cancel his order. I just didn't want to do it. I was like, I'll just take the few bucks I make off of it and call it a day.

It's kind of like my Fisher Price mansion. I threw some links of when I did that. That was a huge shipping cost too. I got to stick a shotgun out. But not like this. This is way more than I've ever paid for shipping. It's because I didn't do it myself. Off of eBay and get a discount.

And that's where I got doinked. But. Live and learn. I don't think it's. I think it's the only listing that i've had that was local pickup only but i'll remember believe me especially when i make a mistake and it cost me big time i'll never do it again i mean i'll i'll change it to to ship something but i gotta remember before i agree to it, I have to add that shipping option.

So, that was kind of a bummed out day. It was right at the end of the night, so I just went to bed. I was like, I'm all aggravated, so I just went to bed. So, that's this morning. That's my little thing from yesterday. Let's see what's going on. I haven't even looked yet. So, Bengals actually beat the Cowboys.

almost done here already so fast things go by so fast let's see if there's any other news quantum computing just saw something about that i was doing cpu yesterday i learned some interesting stuff i could sit and talk to chat gbg all day and really get into certain things but yeah i was doing cpus from the beginning uh i didn't realize it was a chip that was made for just for a calculator The 4000 series. That was pretty interesting. It says, Google unveils mind-blowing quantum computing chip. Interesting.

So that'll be... Quantum computing requires a certain temperature. I think it said something to do with temperature. So that should significantly... I'm sure it's going to be way before we get... It measures a 4 centimeter square, but it's possessed almost inconceivable speed. Tasks in so many years. Fastest world computers.

New chip called Willow. Also, this kind of ties into what I was doing yesterday. Chips. And this would be something in the future. That's ten speckillion, speck illions years. A number that far exceeds the age of our known universe.

And the scientists behind the lightest quantum computing breakthrough reach a distinctive non-technical term. Mind-boggling. The new chip, Willow, made in California. Reports performance,

files, results. So quantum computing is getting there. That's cool. So imagine a quantum computer with AI. That's pretty exciting. So it seems within my lifetime. So that's pretty cool.

It follows prone to error that previous versions could swell the potential of fast developing AI. They had errors because I think it had something to do with the temperature. Oh, it has created a fusion reaction.

which is a bummer, I thought I was going to get a few hundred bucks a week, or at least $100 a week, or $50 a week, but I can't even, I still can't even clear, I can't clear $100, I'm still at $29.18, I don't even i'm so i still can't even clear i can't clear 100 i'm still at

jumper pack slot that can be the issue can be the issue a not working jumper pack will cause no video as you people assume it's a cartridge stop the German package just as important

all to get n64 works you have everything hooked up at the members got the jumper pack I get it up the controller in the game to lots of times the games can be the issue too so that's the other thing i forgot to tell them let me just put that in there too so i added comments so far it's been the comments have been pretty normal as long as they're normal i'm fine it's all weird that i'm not so much oh oh yeah finally Oh yeah, finally. And I haven't... I just shut everything off and went to bed.

I didn't want to deal with anybody. I was done for the day. So let's see if he replied or not. That's my question. I'm not asking for anything else more. It's just I made the mistake of not doing it correctly. And it cost me half of what I

I'll never do that again where i go there and have them weigh it and and do it for you because the amount of uh handling was oh it was crazy still bummed about it's gonna take me a little while to shake that one off it's because i made my own mistakes and especially now i really can't afford to make these kind of mistakes so i was like uh and i was really surprised that the the buyer didn't uh uh at least contact me back after i showed him the sticker shock but it's again there's a good

really good backstory to it so i have to chalk it off to going to a good place for a good reason. And I would have liked to have made more off of it than I did. But it's kind of like that fish price I kind of got really... It wasn't to the extreme. This one. That one I did at home. But I went and did it as a local pickup only and i did i'll never do that again i'll always add shipping as an option just even though

i'm not gonna might not do it but i just didn't really want to ship it and i just didn't have a box that would even come close until just recently like within the last week i got that walmart box and inside that box was the oven and I ended up using all of it except for the oven wasn't there so if you look at my videos you can see all the work was put into it it wasn't too bad it wasn't really that heavy either
