I have had one of each. I now have a PS5 Slim.

Alright, so I'll do an end of the day boot process. Just because I want to learn something new before I go to bed. This is PS4. Jump to PS4 now. We're going to start with the original 1001A. So we'll see what happens here. So this should be significantly more Processing It talks about the blue light of death

Safe modes Now you have to go to safe mode Xbox One It's offline update On the PS4 It's a safe mode But it's really easy with the PS4 you just or PS3 actually you just do safe mode with a any hard drive you want and they'll just overwrite it

so the PS4 1001A the original PS4 model this is the boot process so let's see where we're at so of all systems in my lifetime PS4 is by far the one i played the most of uh okay so power on and and hardware hardware initialization power supply activity activation which is the power supply inside there is a APU accelerated processor unit it's an AMD Jaguar based APU which combines the CPU and GPU it has CPU has eight cores it's x86 64 architecture and the GPU runs AMD GCN architect preparing for graphic rendering it has 8 gigabytes of DDR 5 Ram GDR 5 Ram system checks 256 megabytes of DDI 3 memory so Ram is 8 gigabytes DDR5 the system is only 256 DDR3 memory connect peripherals system cooling has a fan BIOS initializes low low level hardware components secure secure boot bootloader integrity of the firmware APU microcode update during during boot the

firmware updates the APU microcode if needed to ensure compatibility with the system operating system is Orbis OS initialization the. The Kernel Load. So Kernel we decided is the operating system. So the Orbis OS, a modified free based operating system. Free BSD based operating system begins. Kernel initializes, system starts, system services starts, Wi-Fi, Internet, PlayStation Nation, Network rather. Hardware files, checks for errors. Alright, let's see where we're at here. Now we're into the user interface

And the slim has a disk drive that's inside. Which is a real pain real pain if you gotta try to change fix it and usually that's what goes because it's all sandwiched in there eight gigabytes same ram same 256 memory obviously redesigned slimmer and then interface I always thought the slim was 4k but it's not so the ps4 slim versus the original redesign smaller cast reduce power consumption so it's pretty much kind of just going through the rest of it, but it's basically the same. So we'll finish on the PS4 Pro. PS4 Pro. Boot process. Alright, let's see what we got here. Oh, we went up a little bit for the Pro.

So, through all the systems, thes the 1215a and the slim everything stays the same okay so let's see it's still doing its thing key hardware components still using the eight gigabytes so the 8 gigabyte to ddr 5 ram is the same but the memory let's go look almost lost it that's series x whoa wait wait bastard process slim goes quick I lose it see so the pro is the 7,000 series so I think there's three different models seven two oh seven two one five a seven one one five a I think or something like that

wasn't really a big pro fan I had it for a little while I had a few of them but not that many everything so the power supply you have to use that big desktop plug in the back of those

This is 1 gigabyte pros redesign cooling system I guess we'll just go right to ps6 right I mean ps6 ps5 although ps6 this saying is coming out pretty quick nothing really only difference is oh here we go so the key difference is is although PS6 is coming out pretty quick here we go so the key differences is 310 the GPU for the other ones is 1.84 teraflops which is really funny word teraflops and the pro is 4.2 teraflops it's polar polaris based cooling system as an enhanced cooling system all the other ones are only up to 1080p and pro says 4k native or upscaled

HDR is limited to full full HDR support. So then we'll just... I gotta think of something to do after this. Alright, so let's try. Let's go to PS5. Process. I had an original one. I bought it at eBay prices when it first came out.

Let's see what happens here. It's cutting edge design. Solid state drive. It uses the AMD Z2. So these are using the same kind of compatible processors. Zen 2 CPU and AMD RDNA 2 GPU. Similar to the Series X and Series S. Yeah. 350 watt. I now have a PS5 Slim, which I'm a big fan. I had a PS5 Pro for about five minutes literally one day and I traded away just was too big so see the memory of more takes a minute for it to spit all the stuff out here but it gives me all like how to cut again the safe mode and so is it CPU is okay let's see

how does it okay there it is all right so again 350 watts that's how much was the the ps4 pro then the architecture goes up the amd z2 in a RDNA 2 GPU system on chip 8 cores 3.5 gigahertz the GPU is 10.28 teraflops like that word teraflops 16 16 gigabytes of DDR GDDR6 RAM custom 285 gigabyte NVMe solid state drive and you can add the other one

The original one. Improved frame rates up to 1220 FPS. Nearly instant loading via solid-state drive. So there's no more mechanical hard drives.

That's a huge difference. Ray tracing in 4K gaming. 3D audio. The dual sensor control is really cool. Big fan. Common errors. I've only had... All the PS5s I've had

have always worked. I never invested in any broken ones. Someday I will. Maybe. Or maybe not. Let's just go right on to ps ps5 slim boot process so i've finished all xboxes and now i've finished all of the came out in November 2023 the slim I bought a slim

So, looks like the slim, everything checks to be the same eight cores 10.28 teraflops one terabyte so the original one was eight point something terabyte um gigabytes the custom now uh just my slim has got one terabyte. Cooling system redesigned for a slimmer profile. Kernel loading. I believe I can add a disk drive to here. I'm just kind of hitting all the points of the difference. And I'm going to jump right to the Pro in a minute. So no output.

Yeah, the only thing I like about the PS5 Pro is it has two terabytes. I wish the Series X had two terabytes. The AMD Z2 CPU is the same. I thought there was a bigger CPU on this. RDNA2 GPU CPU is 8 core 3.5 Zen 2 GPU is an enhanced RDNA2 architecture 16 gigabytes

unified memory shared between the GPU has the custom 2 terabyte onboard memory so that's kind of it really let me ask about the disk drive so neither one of the slim I think you can get mine mine is digital. Key features of the PS5 boot process.
