Starting point is 00:00:00 Alright, we're going to talk about something this morning here. Hold on, let me get to it. Something happened this morning and we're going to talk about it. I'm going to do a podcast and a video on this as well. Because it's kind of significant. Alright, so we're going to talk about um i sold a um ds 3ds with uh zelda four swords on it and i made sure i made a video showing that it fully worked no problems and then it was sold so my question to zippy now i'm just gonna leave it at that is can a game be pulled off a ds that
Starting point is 00:00:48 is pre-loaded yes it's possible to pull a pre-loaded game off a ds nintendo ds system but it requires specific tools and methods here's an overview of how to do it so my ds that i sold with the game on it had a top screen the 3ds if you have homebrewed enabled DS or 3ds systems you can use tools like God mode 9 on 3ds TWL menu plus plus on modded DS use a custom firmware CFW if the game is preloaded on 3DS, custom firmware like Luma 3DS can give access to the SD card or memory
Starting point is 00:01:33 where the game is stored. You can dump the game using FBI God Mode 9 and other dumping tools. Using flash cart. Some DS flash carts can read system memory and allow users to extract game data. Direct system file extraction. If the game is stored in the system NAD, it could require a NAD backup and decryption tools to extract the game. Considerations. Encryption.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Pre-loaded games may be tied to specific consoles meaning they often won't run on another system without decryption legality extracting and sharing roms of pre-loaded games is against nintendo's uh account its services rather if you're trying to extract a specific game let me know what it is DSDS, and I can guide you through the best methods for that device. Okay, then I put, can it make it no longer accessible with an X on it and need a Nintendo account? Yes, if preload games on NES suddenly become accessible and displays with an X on it requiring this account, this typically means one of the following. Nintendo account or license issues. If the game was tied
Starting point is 00:02:50 to a specific Nintendo network and that account was removed or unlinked, the game may no longer work. This is common with the 3DS shop. So this game on this 3DS fully worked
Starting point is 00:03:04 when I shipped it. Corrupt or missing data. If the game data was altered, deleted, or the SD card was removed, there was no SD card. It was just the game on there. This is the Four Swords Zelda. Try reinserting the CD. System update or reset
Starting point is 00:03:26 if the system was factory reset or updated it may have unlinked the game I didn't do any of that I just took it from when I did the video of it fully working playing the game for a few minutes and I will attach the video of that
Starting point is 00:03:42 to this link to this video. If the game was preloaded from the network eShop, it might require recertification. I don't know where the game came from. It was just on there and it was playing. How to fix it. Check the network or network account. If the game is missing, re-add it.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Try re-downloading it. This would have been a game that I specifically said is on the broken 3DS with the broken top screen. And I re-verified that it worked. If you just left it the way it was. Whatever happened after that, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:20 If hacked or modded, restore tickets. If you used a Homebrew or CFW, the game file ticket verifies ownership may be missing. Tools like FBI or God Mode 9 can't reinstall. So, I have an issue. I'll figure out where it goes. But I'll attach the video.
Starting point is 00:04:41 The game fully worked when I shipped it. And then now it's saying that it's giving me an it's getting an X on it so the game was either pulled off or something else happened I don't know it's not the way I shipped it though so I was asked about extra steps I don't know I don't I don't really have any answers for you in extra steps because it didn't need any extra step you just turned it on and played the game if however something else was I don't really have any answers for you on extra steps because it didn't need any extra steps. You just turned it on and played the game.
Starting point is 00:05:11 If, however, something else happened after that, then that's, I don't know, something went weird here. Because the first question about this was, do I need an account on it? And when the buyer asked about it, so I specifically made a nice nine-minute video showing, no, that's not where I'm at. I don't even have a Nintendo account. I don't think I've ever had a Nintendo account for 3DS
Starting point is 00:05:33 that I'm aware of. So I made the video, and he verified it. She sent it to him, and then it shipped. And now I am getting a message that it's got an X on it and it's not the way all I do is put it in the box from when I did the video so a little bummed out something that's again if someone's saying I did something I didn't do so this is definitely not true so I'm not sure what's going on but I just verified here with my buddy Zippy that there are ways to pull games off of something.
Starting point is 00:06:06 And I'm not saying that won't happen, but I don't know. It's not the way I shipped it. I want to make that very clear and state that in a podcast and on my YouTube. Because I never like when someone says I did something I did not do.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Especially when I specifically went out of the way to make the video to re-verify that the game is there. It's on that 3DS with the cracked screen. If it was taken off of that 3DS and put somewhere else, then that's not my responsibility. And again, I'm not sure, but it's somewhere over here. I think it has something to do with this right over here.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Taking the game off of one system and putting it onto another. So if that's what happened, I don't know. I'll fight it. So I'm not worried about it. And we'll talk about it. Anytime there's something that doesn't go right, I sit and I will talk about it. Because it specifically made sure that that was exactly as that was shipping and from from here it would have to be the x here it says yes you can
Starting point is 00:07:14 get an x over it uh require an account but it's not the way it was when i had it and the way i shipped it and there's reasons for it coming in accessible it was reset or updated this Chloe shop closure for DS don't there's any this doesn't I don't even think there is a shop anymore for for a long time there hasn't been for 3ds and DS so that's one that that kind of a bummed out morning kind of ruined my morning this morning but we'll go with it and
Starting point is 00:07:51 that's I came up with extra steps that I don't know of any other than it should have just came the way it worked right out of the box and this is all the information that I got coming up with ideas of why now it has an X on it
Starting point is 00:08:10 and not preloaded. So that's my little thing for this morning. Another eBay. That's the issue of some kind. Try to be as honest and detailed as possible. And I know that's the way it ships.
Starting point is 00:08:26 So I'm not sure what happens when a buyer gets it on the other end. But it's not the way it was. All right. So that's my little thing this morning. All right. So that's my, I made a little short, about eight minutes. So a little podcast about my issue this morning. We'll get that one up listed after I do my early morning one.
Starting point is 00:08:52 And then we'll talk more about it. Anytime there's an issue, I want to talk about it. If that's even something I did wrong, then I'd be the first one to say, yeah, I did that wrong. But no, I didn't do anything wrong. I sipped it just exactly the way it was selling. All right, so I'll talk to you guys later on. All right, talk to you later. Bye.
