A listener production.
Activate your internet.
Because the Hamish and Andy podcast starts in three, two.
Sorry, still buffering.
Ahoy to be perpendicular, Hamish.
Always.
Well, only when excited, do I get full?
No, I am happy to be perpendicular.
And that's a great, 90 degrees is a great angle.
Always been my favourite.
Ahoy to me angle, Jack.
Okay.
Somewhere in the geometry space.
Well, I mean, I guess you're just everything but a 90,
because that would be me.
I'm the perpendicular.
True.
This will get you.
Ahoe to me parallel, Andy.
Just how lines might intersect.
No.
How lines might choose to live their life.
Relationship from one line to another.
No.
the three main types of parking.
Okay.
I mean, a parallel park, an angle park, or a perpendicular park.
Yes.
Fair enough.
They're the only three ways you can park.
Yes, well, I mean, what you've done is you've covered every, as Jack said,
every single relationship a line can have to another line.
Yes.
The word angle is a real blanket.
Like, you really can throw that over everything.
Yes.
I always find the, do you always find very rare that you see it on some streets, you know, rear to curb where it goes, oh, you don't hear to curb, yeah.
And I don't care for that one bit.
Why is that?
The only thing I can think of is it's in situations where they prefer you to leave quickly, like to not back out and hold people up.
Yeah, right, right, yeah.
But you're still going to stop.
At some point, yeah.
There is delay.
That's why I don't care for it.
It's delay one way or another.
And I saw just last week I saw the opposite,
which was you can't no rear entry into these per particular park.
Too many rules.
Yeah.
Why?
This is the bit...
I thought that might be because there was a nice garden bed behind
and maybe more of a chance of going back too far.
If you're going in reverse.
Things like this where you see influence is going,
we move to Bali.
Yeah.
You know, we're sick of Australia and all its regulations.
You know, join me as I park any way I want in any relation to the curb.
And this is one of the things I love about living in Bali.
Ahoy also to Ben, who went to hamishaddy.com.
Very easy to use audio upload system there.
He's from England.
Ahoy, Hamish, Andy, and number six.
This is Ben from England calling,
where we are currently experiencing our 50 way of the summer.
Because of this, we've had way more house size
than we normally would.
This has been a constant supply in my kitchen at the moment.
However, this has been a great opportunity for me
to hone my skills on my bugger salt 3.0,
which I got on recommendation from Hamish and Jack.
I'm just wondering if they're still using theirs.
What kind of technique are you going for?
I've adopted, and this is a bit of a tell me someone you haven't thought of in a while,
the technique from the Paris Olympics,
do you remember the Turkish shooter?
One hand in the pocket.
Super casual, maximum style points.
It's not really working for me.
There's a lot of salt just around the kitchen.
However, the style points can't beat them.
Anyway, love the pod guys.
Keep up the good work.
What do I do?
Am I the only one that thought he said house fires?
I thought he said house fires.
We're in a heap wave at the moment.
There's heaps more house fires.
And then he said he had several in his kitchen.
This is a grim statistic of how will we pull this back?
And I'm using the bugger soles a lot.
Still, I hadn't fully caught on at that stage.
No, it was their fifth heat wave.
Yep.
That was the other one that was a little swallowed.
But yes, several swarms of house.
House flies.
Yep.
Yes.
Yeah, I still use it all the time.
Love it.
Obviously, at the moment, you know, you've been through winter, less house flies.
But it's, there is fly season starts.
And the kids are like, get the gun.
Well, so I've seen one.
And I'd imagine, like golf, you build your summer swing in winter.
I'd imagine you still have to keep you, you're shooting up in winter just so you're
accurate enough when they come.
I get my wife to put five or six Kalamata olive pits around the kids.
kitchen, but synthetic flies.
And I'll come in and I've got 30 seconds to eliminate them all.
Like an FBI shoot house.
Keep the training up.
Keep the training up.
Okay, we've got to jump into this.
The price is correct.
Our game show where you have a chance to win items impulse bought by Hamish off Instagram.
He spent, well, $70,000, I think, or they're about.
They're rippers.
They are bloody good items.
More to be revealed later in the show, Ando.
Yes.
Yes.
But I really need your attention.
That's why we're at the top of the show.
We want logistics.
Full attention?
Well, you're looking down at your computer.
I need you full.
What are you doing over there?
I said logistics immediately you've got my ears and occasionally my eyes.
Well, I wanted to give this more excitement.
So I'm going to put gameshow music behind it.
Logistics?
I know.
You want to give logistics excitement?
I need it because these are questions being asked by the TV studio that need to be answered.
And it's not what is the game.
We'll get to that.
We'll get to that.
That will sort itself out.
Like, how do you play this game?
I think we've got a vibe.
They would like, well, one of the questions was,
and then do it before the music,
one of the questions was, when will they get the script?
That's a huge, you just put a line through that.
Don't worry about that.
You can't script magic.
This is the questions that we're getting from the TV studio
and the producers there that would,
that people making a game show normally would ask.
and get a response on.
So in game show style, I put some music behind it.
I want quick answers because I know I'll lose your guys attention,
but I've got a list of things.
By the way, the slots covered.
We've managed to get the 7.30 slot on Sunday night.
On YouTube.
Yeah, on YouTube.
That's huge.
Now there's more pressure because that's prime time, baby.
That's prime time, baby.
Yes.
Let's go into it, Jack.
Good Jack.
Opening titles.
Do we want to make them?
No.
I thought we wanted to burn through this.
Do you want this to be a quick meeting?
Yeah, okay, so just...
Ah, you can have a little bit.
Why don't we just have...
Well, Jack, aren't you doing the theme song?
Yeah, but I'm...
What's opening titles?
Like, just a graphic that plays.
Maybe.
Or, like, sometimes there's other...
We probably should just start with the songs.
I mean, I have no expertise in making a graphical...
No, we're not expecting you to make it.
I'm going to want it.
But you making the song, what did you think the song?
What did you think the song?
What would the song be playing?
The song might describe the show.
Like you would want to see the show name, the price is correct.
Featuring the tip-in point?
Yeah.
Probably doing some animations and stuff.
That's opening time?
I think we need the song first.
I think I need the song first.
Can we get the song next week?
Yes, next week.
Okay.
Great.
All right.
Open titles, TBC.
Yeah, but they don't need that.
We'll do that.
Yes, but there's.
They need to know whether we're, like, this is, we are the, when you say we, who's doing it?
Yeah, good point.
That's us.
No, that's us, but I mean, yeah, someone will need to do that.
These are the, these are the, yeah.
I actually do think Jack is the bottleneck there.
He's the first step in that scenario.
Well, he, I think they would have written the Cheers theme song before they then put the
pictures over it.
Fair.
You need to know what's in the song first.
Yep.
Okay.
To be determined, but yes, we want them.
Water safety.
I've got an email here that I thought might spike your interest.
It says, a guy called Oscar Wedowitz.
He writes, I'm applying for what I believe to be the most important role in the entire show.
The Safety Diver sitting at the bottom of the pool.
Oh, that's interesting.
That's good.
I'm a qualified scuba instructor,
so rather than just watching the show at home and thinking there should probably be someone down there saving people,
I'm offering my services.
Proposed duties include sitting underwater,
looking professional, keeping in on anyone who enters the pool,
providing immediate assistance if something goes wrong,
recovering anything or anyone that ends up in the pool where it shouldn't,
generally adding it an unnecessary but reassuring level of super-based safety to tip in point.
That's good, because I thought we'd just have lifeguards with the big stick,
but if someone completely goes down, you want someone under there.
So does that mean he has to put enough oxygen in for like an hour down there?
I don't know how big your tank can be,
but we'll be shooting for well over an hour, I imagine.
do swap outs, I reckon.
You don't need to decompress or anything to come to the top.
He'd just come out.
He might go through four or five tanks, though.
He's happy to fly himself over or drive from South Australia.
Are we locking him in?
Yep.
No, I do like that.
I can't love that.
Also, if we drop anything in, like, a question card or something,
he can grab that for us.
Seems like I've ever killed to get a question card out, but yes.
Or something that might sing.
A man driving, a quarter of the way across the country was scuba gear to fish out a cardboard,
that we couldn't remember the question of.
Do we want lifesavers?
We've got a few guys.
Natasha's written in.
She's like, I'll be a poor lifeguard.
People are still a bit unclear of the name of the show.
But again, yeah, it is the price is correct.
Featuring the tip in point.
The tip in point.
We've got, I think, we'll reach out to a bunch of people.
I've got to run surf schools.
Some lifesavers here with 10 years experience from the Gunnamata Surf Lifesaving Club,
which is one of the most treacherous.
parts of the ocean
But are we going to have an issue with
When Carl, Carl Rodin, he's a doctor and a surf lifesaver
In case we want both
Okay, well, we'll come back to you on that one
But yes, we do need it
But do we need to know when it's a scuba guy
Problem versus a lifesaving problem?
Yeah, I think you will give them a...
Why don't we have a flare
That you can let off a signal flare
What are they fighting over the...
Then they're not going to go, my victim, your victim,
They're not going to rip them apart under there,
but I think if you're underwater and you see someone
waving the flare above water,
that tells you they've abandoned the rescue attempt.
It's now over to the deep sea unit.
Great, okay, we need a flare, Carl's.
And also, I imagine if it's sub-water level
and above the order level, the person's gone up to the top,
the lifesaver can do it.
If they're straight to the bottom, that is for a scuba.
Then we need a signal from the bottom of a ballroom going to go on.
You takeover.
Okay, we'll work it out.
Casting hand.
You mentioned during the studio walkthrough
that you wanted to cast a couple of models.
Yes, please.
Yeah, to be like alongside your prize section.
Yeah.
Well, I just think, you know, it's that thing of like
when it's a jet ski and the prize is right,
there's just someone, you know,
there's like people pretending to be at the beach
or waving or whatever.
It's usually a guy and a girl
and they have to pretend to be married.
Models are expensive.
Are you open to people submitting
if you are a model or hot enough?
If you believe you're hot enough to be a model.
Well, don't say it like that.
That sounds like you're going to creep on the photos.
That's a bit casting couch.
But yes, can we say that we're not actually going to book anyone?
Send all submissions to Andy.
Andy Lee can get me work at gmail.com.
All right.
Write it right in.
Hamishdandy.com if you think that you're hot enough to be a model to be on the display cabinet for home.
Cameras.
We've only been allocated three total.
which is two petty cams,
which are the ones that go kind of an eye height and fly around.
A big TV cameras, yeah.
And then a jib, a big jib shot.
That's the one on a crane.
Yeah, that kind of flies over.
You do need those to kind of sweep along
and give you the feel of the studio.
Yeah, we'd been...
A show like this would have seven minimum.
The way around it is we could just shoot all our audience shots,
like reaction shots at the start,
but then people may be reacting to things
that they weren't actually reacting to.
Could you get them to react at the end?
So we go, remember when...
Could we roll through...
Could we roll through 20 different reactions at the start
and we just splice those through the show?
So then all the cameras turn around and cover the action.
It takes the pressure off the audience too.
Like, you don't...
It's not nice to see the red light go on and they're in the crowd
and you're like, do you have to do a better performance?
This lets people kind of know, boom.
Yep.
You know, I've got my best cheering out.
Yeah.
Yeah, great.
Let's just do 20 stock...
Stock standing kind of...
Getty image audience reactions at the start.
Perfect, done.
One problem with that, sorry, and I know you want to go fast.
What if, say, someone's gone, come on down, come on through,
we push them in the pool, they're dripping wet,
then all of a sudden we cut back to them before the show
and they're clapping and going, ooh.
One for the fans.
One for the fans.
You know, there was a white van in Braithart.
Yeah.
On the hill.
Cup of coffee in Game of Thrones.
It doesn't matter.
One for the fans.
One for the fans.
Wardrobe.
What do you think?
Suits?
Suits?
I was wondering, do we want to pull out the tracetos again?
We haven't worn them since Gap year.
No, I think suits.
Suits for a game show.
You know what?
I've never won a tuxedo before.
To your wedding will be the first time I've ever won't a tux.
You want to wear a tux again?
Should I just wear the tux?
Yeah.
Because I've got nothing else to use for it.
Yeah.
Well, no, I'm one of the...
He's a push to, isn't he?
I won't be the pool.
Don't push me in a pool.
Don't push me in a pool.
Okay, okay, that's right.
So suits for us, ham, tucks for Jack.
Audio, are there any other cast members other than Hamish and Andy that will need a mic?
Jack will need a mic, but if he's going in the pool,
don't push me in the pool.
I'm a pusher.
Pretty hard not to now.
I don't, because I'm going to wear the tuxedo.
I know.
Don't, don't.
Don't, don't.
Okay, a mic for Jack.
That will make you more waterproof.
Okay.
But now I'm not going to want to go to the pool.
But you're the push.
I know, but I'll have to like push with a long pole or something because I don't want to step near the edge.
It's not called the edge, Jack. What's it called?
It's a tip in point.
Yes.
Thank you.
You don't say the E word during the show.
Yes, exactly.
Storage and gear, where do we want the prizes?
How do you want them to travel into the studio?
Are they already there?
Safely and swiftly.
But are they, is it a reveal as they come in or are they already there?
in set and we're cutting towards it?
I think, no, they think they would need to get
bought in one by one probably on a
forklift.
See, the forklift. Some are heavy.
Right. Forklift driver, please.
Horg's his nephew's got his forkleth driver
license. Hired. Hired. Okay.
We'll see if Will's available.
And because some of them,
because I'm going to have a little area where the
models are, and if it's like,
okay, it's this, you know, it's this.
We want them kind of acting with it, but
we'll need a forklift getting them in and out.
We'll find you.
that, but I do want a forklift.
Just so unclear for them.
Will the forklift be on camera coming in,
or is it coming in, dropping it and when it's covered,
and then we want to reveal it.
We don't know yet.
No, drive the forklift it out.
You never saw the forklift on Price's Right.
This is not the Price is right, Jack.
This is the Price is Correcting.
Anything can happen, including the pool pusher,
accidentally getting dragged in.
All right, audience.
Normally there's a audience bay where people congregate,
and there's normally audience coordinators
and also a warm-up person.
Do we reckon we need any of that?
Just come pre-warmed.
Audience, just be warm from the start.
It'll be on a checklist.
You're hot?
Are you a hot crowd tonight?
If you're not hot, you can't come in.
Yeah, exactly.
Must be preheated.
Do we need a doorman then?
We need someone to kind of make sure they get seated
and do everything.
I think everyone should bring a swimming bag too,
like if you're going for a swim.
That's nice.
Because you need a towel.
Everyone will need, let's say, two towel.
And a soft change of clothes, too.
Okay.
In a garbage bag.
Tick, tick, tick.
You have to tick off those things to be allowed in.
Plus, are you coming in hot?
Because you're going to have to get changed.
We probably just have to have cubicles or things set up for people to get changed in.
Right.
That's all I had.
Like portable dressing rooms.
You know what I mean?
Just sort of out the back to go, okay, we've got to get changed if you end up in the pool.
Yeah.
Because they can't just, they'll free.
They'll get hypothermia.
Can't just walk around wet for the next four hours.
Are we going to make the pool warm?
No.
I don't think we can promise that.
You just done, guys.
But, yeah.
Well, meeting's over.
Actually, do like a time limit meeting.
Now I know you just have to get to the end.
Hey, and Jack, I'm not sure if you are getting this,
but lots of people are chipping or putting rings to a best man at rings.
Yeah, mate.
I've started something.
I feel like we've started something quite heavy.
Here's one that's not a chipper apart, not golf related,
but similar vein.
What does he say, Matt, Connor, just got married,
And congrats Connor.
He says,
managed to pull off the sacred ring chip at my wedding.
Well, it was kind of a ring chip.
So it's not quite a ring chip,
but it's in the same vein as combining the delivery of the rings
in a specialised system via the modality of the groom's favourite pastime.
In this case, for Connor, it was fishing.
And so his brother, who was the groomsman, cast the rings.
Well, that's way risky.
than a chip.
Chast the rings to the best man.
Obviously, the brother here, hell of a fisherman,
because he's like cast it perfectly to the best man.
He's caught it, unhooked the rings,
then handed them over.
Wow.
I might be able to help Andy get this over the line with Ben
because I convinced my now wife to let it happen.
And at the start, she was a definite no.
Also, congrats on the SB Hamish thing.
But huge, huge from Connor.
A cast.
During their practice simulations,
I wonder whether there,
the father of the bride did get hooked in the eye.
So, well, you never say never.
Beck says it's going to be traditional at this stage.
The clips that are coming up on social media,
have you shown her then?
Because why it's unconventional, I agree it is unconventional,
but it looks kind of nice.
It looks good.
I love that you're willing to concede it's unconventional.
It's not like, like, apart from, you know,
when Princess Diana got married and they did the chipping of the reggae.
And, you know, it's one in free weddings.
We do concede.
We do concede it's unconventional.
It's becoming less unconventional with the amount of a...
Yeah, right.
You better hop on now, otherwise it's just going to be par se.
Yes.
So, but I actually am less inclined to want to do it now.
I've seen so many people do it and affect it.
I think part of the excitement was, Hame,
I thought you'd come up with a brand new and exciting way to...
I feel like it was pretty, yeah.
I mean, I got the idea initially because the guy had his remote-controlled golf car.
bring them in and everyone was like, oh, that's great.
And then we come up with the, you know, I would question if people are getting
especially engineered golf balls for the rings to live inside.
But, so be it.
Haim, on this point, and Jack, I wanted to put this to you,
when was the last time you got together with just three other mates and went shopping?
Oh, never.
Unless like going to a service station to get some chalkies at high school counts.
Yeah.
Well, about two months ago, Haim and I with.
my brother and hogs.
We went for our suit fittings.
We went suit shopping together.
This was your favourite kind of shopping, Jack,
because it's really, you go to a place,
they give you a beer, and you get a free suit.
There's not really suit shopping.
It's not best as a cruise.
Why it's better than shopping is you know where you're going,
you know what you're getting.
It's not just walking around.
That's what I preferred.
I hate perusing.
So to go there with a task,
four of us with a beer,
giggling away as we work through,
everybody, that they're very specific about the measurements, right, when it comes to the suit fitting.
Well, that's the whole thing. Isn't that the suit fitting? That's right. But this is what
Hamish and I got a giggle out of. We go in, the tailor's there, he's got his measure, and
Hawgs declares, just so you know, I'm planning to lose weight before the wedding.
I bet they hear that every time. At least one. Huggs's actual quote was, mate, when he did the
waist, where he sort of does his tummy.
Hawks just quietly goes to him, mate, take 5% off that.
Which 5% of your girth is quite a bit.
So we get to the measurements.
This is right.
So what's the guy meant to do?
There's arms.
There's inner arms.
There's four arms.
There's wrists, there's shoulders, right.
I was jotting down what Hawks was saying for each of them.
And your recollection matches mine for waist.
He was like 5% off that.
He was very specific.
So, and Hawks is just making verbal adjustments.
So there's a guy measuring.
So what are we even here for,
it's like, why don't you just send in like an Olympian
and go, measure this guy because that's the body I'm going for by the wedding?
Because there's actually no point in his human body being there
if all the measurements are going to be adjusted.
So there's another guy there on a kind of a chic kind of laptop or like iPady kind of
punching the numbers in.
And there's the measurer.
So he says, waste, I think he said 96 centimetre something.
And Hawks went take 5% off that, straight away.
So the guy writing it down, looked at Hawks and then looked back at the measurer going,
well, who, I mean, the customer is always right, but who are we going with here?
I mean, I don't know anything about tailoring, but you would think logically it's way more dangerous
to give someone a small suit than a big suit.
A big suit you can bring in,
but a small suit,
you're in dry...
And if we're at the location
putting on the pants and Hogs' buttons explode,
and you call the tailor going,
mate, you've sent Hawks the Toys.
Like, mate, he keeps sending his emails,
they pull his 15 kilos.
So they go to the shoulders,
kind of across the back of the shoulders,
and I'm making up the numbers,
but they might have said something like 56,
and Hawks goes,
pull me down for a 58.
So bigger in the shoulder, stronger.
So we question.
We questioned that.
He said, planning and doing a lot of swimming.
Yes.
That's how the weight's coming off.
So, like, and the other thing we found funny, I am,
was they don't say you are carrying extra weight around your waist.
You know, they, but they go strong.
That's the word they use.
So they'll go.
Yeah, strong measurement.
Strong thigh.
I had a strong thigh.
Because I'd actually got, this is the same place I got my wedding suit from.
So they had my measurements from when I got married.
Oh, well, 10 years ago.
So you can compare the pair.
So it was an interesting one to go, okay, well, where have we slipped?
Where have we got stronger?
Have you got stronger biceps?
That would be a fine one to go up in?
Hamed numbers were very good.
Pretty consistent.
My numbers had drifted from when I was last in the shop, which is a shame.
And are you hoping to take 5% off?
Well, I figured I'll just go with, I were hoping to,
but I think I'll just go with what they've got,
which takes the releases the pressure of having to change my life.
Absolutely. And a good suit.
Good suit.
That's all the wedding straighting you need.
That's the thing.
You look great.
No one's really going to tell if Hawks have got an extra 5% on.
We're not going in bobsled uniform.
It's a tuxedo.
So then he measures the four arms.
Horgs goes, add a couple.
He then goes, the swimming.
Swimming, yeah.
I don't know what his technique's like.
I'm not really a swimmer myself, but he's obviously pulling a lot of water with those arms.
inner arms, he goes, that's fine.
That's fine.
Keep as is.
Again, the guy on the computer is absolutely panicking, going,
I don't know which ones I meant.
Yes, am I writing down the ideal man,
or am I writing down the one we can see?
As I said, I've been holding onto this
because it's been two months.
Yep.
And joining us now is Hawks,
because I would love to.
There we go.
It's actually our journey for Hawks' wedding-streading, isn't it?
Traditionally, it's the bride or the group,
Now it's one of the groomsmen.
Ahoi to you, hogs.
Hello, boys.
A holly hogs.
How are we faring?
It's eight weeks in.
There's a few months to go, of course,
but you're approaching halfway.
How are we feeling you've gone?
There were some good news last week.
I'd lost a couple.
I'd lost two.
But I had a big weekend.
I'll put it back off.
Okay.
Just range, range fighting.
I mean the scales.
You can't go of scales like...
Well, two kilos can come and go.
Yeah.
A big poo.
It's got to be one.
No, you always weigh myself in the morning.
So it's just, you know, completely clear it, clear it all out.
But the actual, poo doesn't make too much of a difference to tell you the truth.
Okay.
Well, I guess this is not what we're talking about.
I guess it depends who you are.
But, I mean, you know, next time put a bucket on the scales.
Yeah.
Go in the bucket.
I think you'd get at least half a kilo out of it.
Horns, am I telling the tailor?
Yes.
To add five back on from what you were saying,
or just go with the real numbers that he wrote,
hopefully they did put them down.
I'm going for a swim today.
Like, I'm actually committed from now on.
I'm going on a big diet.
You wouldn't have wanted to start a couple of months ago.
Like, you'd flame out.
You don't want to peak too soon.
I mean, after that dinner,
Because we had to go and then discuss a few little bits and pieces for the Bucks party.
You, me and Cam went out to the Vietnamese restaurant,
and it didn't look like the diet began to the night.
Because I was like, eating a banquet and having six years,
this is not a man who is losing it tonight.
He's having one last year of a lot.
So Big Hawks, am I saying to tell him?
Yes.
Tell them to stay on course.
I promise you I'll lose to five.
Okay.
How are you going, by the way?
Yeah, no, no.
You're looking right?
No, I'm in a very similar boat to you.
As far as what we promised each other, yeah, I think we'll just,
I'm just going to stay at the course and hide it behind a nice suit.
I mean, that's the way to do it.
We're in our mid-40s.
I mean, no one, there's no top, there's no swimsuit section of the wedding.
I do like a surprise.
Hey, and we understand it's only September.
Yep.
And the government-mandated break, though, is coming at us.
It's on the horizon.
It's on the horizon.
And hence we felt we should play this game only one more time for the year.
Because as you get further through the year, it's harder.
Of course, I'm talking about, tell us someone we haven't thought of in a while.
People send in their hats to the show, the pod, in the hope that we read out the description of their hat and their company.
There's three hats that people are playing for at the moment.
I've got them in front of me.
This is an appalling hat.
Yeah, this is a good point to remind people that it's a sponsorship gamble.
Your business will be judged on the quality of the promotional hat you make.
It's got MIG co-engineering on the back.
It's a Velcro latch, which seems flimsy,
and already feels like it's going to pulling off at the seam on a stiff Velcro.
It's completely black with their MIG co-engineering symbol.
I don't mind that idea.
Black on black is, I think, a subtle way to get the brand out there.
But then they've got that white stripe on the peak.
I don't agree with that.
I don't agree with that as well.
I think that screams of me of going,
I'll listen, because you've got the embroidery at the back,
we can chuck in a white stripe on the peak for free.
It's no extra cost because you've already got the embroidery machine out,
and I feel like whoever was in charge of the hat went, yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
It wasn't considered.
Black on black, and you're going understated,
and you put a bloody, you put like a beak and a rimming on the peak.
We don't care down the peak.
It's not a feature.
It's a given.
That's the dance of the group today.
This one is Tristan Roberson.
Don't know what they do, but a lovely trucker hat.
That's good.
It feels like the kind of one you might be able to find at Mount Evans when we were doing
a Colorado.
In Colorado.
I know what you're talking about.
It feels like the kind of hat you'd find in Colorado.
At a petrol station.
At a petrol station if you go to Mountaineering.
station for our American listeners.
Final one, first time I've had something like this, a bucket hat.
Bold.
It's a terry-towling pink bucket hat from Winston with a Y.
I like it.
Oh, no, but look at that.
It looks like an iron-on transfer for the logo.
It is an iron on.
And Winston.
Watch it catch the light.
It's terrible.
Just as a general rule, I have a series of hats that I would enjoy wearing, not for every day wear,
but like walking around in the garden.
I quite like a terry toweling bucket hat.
This one's hot pink.
What is Winston with the wire?
Winds, I think.
Windsor, all right.
Okay.
But they're not showing off any windows or blinds in their logo.
I think they're hoping that people know.
I mean, and if you're hoping to get a deal for your house,
they don't have that many blinds.
They don't have 25,000 blinds in the store ready to go at all times.
But I think for regular houses, they have enough.
Okay.
Let's jump into it.
Since I've thought about Anna Kornikova.
Okay, yes.
Yeah.
It's been a while since I've seen this.
Yeah.
Would that have qualified?
Obviously, would either of you thought about Anna Kornikova, the ex-teness player?
Yeah, it doesn't, I can't think of a time.
We were talking about Enrique Anglesias this year, and they were together for a time, I think.
So you reckon when you were marching through?
I think I would have paired them together in my head during that conversation.
So even though you didn't express it verbally, while you were looking through on RECA's file,
you would have glanced at known accomplices, and you would have seen her.
Okay.
Fair enough.
Anthony, ahoie to you.
Ahoy, boys.
Gusto to you.
And gusto to you, Ant.
All right, Anne, this is exciting.
We've got three various hats on the line here.
It's going to come down to preference, but as Andy mentioned, there is.
is probably a wrong choice.
Yes.
Who have we not thought about this year?
I was watching the World Cup and the Netherlands are about to play and we started listening
off the point of players in a team like Van Dyke, Van DeVen.
And then my mate threw out Vend and Hogan Band.
I thought of Hogan Band.
I was a person I haven't thought about anyone.
That is a great.
Andy's already, I can see him just nodding going, I do.
Andy does think about people more than me and Jack.
Peter Van Hogan Band for those, personally, you're all clear from me.
and it's a great Dutch sports person to pick
because the rules for this game are
we do need,
it needs to be someone that you could conceivably think about.
And of course,
Peter Van and Hogan van,
in the year 2000 at the Sydney Olympics
was running his mouth
and saying he was going to,
he was going to, was that the 2000 Olympics
where he was saying he was going to smash Elsie?
Yeah, Thorpe's rival.
Yeah, Thorpe's rival.
Well, the Thorpe, Thorpe docoes just came out recently.
I saw a, whether it was a doco or a piece on Thorpe,
which talked about Peter Van Van and Hoover.
But he wouldn't be a talking head in it.
No, he wasn't a talking head in it.
No, no.
He was pitted as rival, which created excitement and tension for Thorpey.
But certainly someone I thought about a little while.
Really good try, Aunt.
Sorry, mate.
As soon as you started listening.
He's taken it well like Peter Van and Hogan-Huggan band in the year 2000 as he was denied gold.
Josh, a hooy to you.
Ahoy, boys.
Happy birthday, Andy.
No need to tell us someone we haven't thought of in a while.
I'm going with someone that took Australia by storm for a bit there,
and I'm going with British magician Dynamo.
That's a good one for me.
Hame, you do like thinking about magic more than I?
Can I honestly say I've thought about Dynamo?
What was his trademark magician movie?
I mean, his show, did he do the one where he went around?
I mean, I don't know how much everyone's watched of him,
but was he the guy that it looked like he was holding onto the
outside of a London bus, like a double-deck a bus, and it was sort of an optical illusion.
And he was just hovering, was he?
Well, it just looked like he had his hand casually placed out, and he was just flying along
next to the bus.
But he did a bunch of other stuff.
He would do, yeah, like, is that Dynamo?
I think he was just a jack of old trades, wasn't he?
He could do a bit of everything.
Yeah, he could just nail or whatever it was there for him.
Mental stuff, close-up stuff, Starly, Carl, Carl, he's confirming he does suck to a bus stuff.
He just such a bust up.
See, if this was Quismus, Sando, and we had Magic Mike as the host,
Mike could give us his top 50 tricks.
Yeah, yeah, but...
Look, I don't think I have thought of Dynamo.
I think I'm aware of him, and I respect his body of work,
when I can accurately remember it.
You've got yourself a hat.
Thank you, Josh. You've got yourself a hat.
Beautiful.
Josh, what hat do you want to go for?
We have to go the Terry Towling, I reckon.
Yeah, you made it with enough washes or even just a hot iron.
You could get the wind.
You could get the branding.
You could.
You can melt that off.
No worries.
Yeah, I think that would make it better.
Yeah, sorry, on the inside, I haven't realized.
It also says Wintz-Stan.
Is it reversible?
It is reversible.
Oh, well, you got your work cut out for you.
Oh, look at it's a grey on the inside.
It becomes a grey kind of more...
Wearing it to the office kind of hat.
And then when 501 hits, she inverts.
And you got yourself a pimpterry-tailing bucket, and you become Fisher.
Yeah, this one's more of an army kind of.
a car key type material on within the grey.
There you go.
Only if you're in the most rag tag of militias, though,
would you wear it for combat purposes?
Blind doors, shutters and awnings.
I should have looked deeper when I was wondering what they did.
All right, Josh, thank you.
Adam, a hoi-a-hoi-you.
Hey, guys.
Hoy, boy, boys.
Tell us someone we haven't thought of in a while.
I really hope you guys haven't had a conversation
with your neighbours are from over the fence recently
because I'm thinking of Wilson from home improvement.
I am so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
He's just unfortunately we're of the generation where he's a monthly reference, probably.
But he was also Jack.
I think he was a crossword clue not too long ago.
It was like, for the word fence, it was like this, you know,
you might talk to a neighbour Wilson through this.
Well, mine comes from the AB.
I've got a neighbor in the, do not watch this show, the animation.
Next door neighbor, Goblin.
And the ABC said, is it getting a bit samey?
And I said, in my notes back to them, they did 240 episodes of Wilson saying,
how do he be in the exact same manner and then doing kind of a circumspect.
And you didn't even get to see him.
You're just looking at a fence at the top of this.
Isn't that crazy that he was the star?
Was not dissimilar.
He was in a fishing hat, wasn't he?
To not the pink side, but the grey side of this with a Y hat, Terry Towling.
He was probably one of the biggest stars of the 90s.
We don't know what he looks like.
Isn't it an amazing?
Perfect scenario.
Yeah, I'd have email evidence that I've thought of Wilson in the last little bit.
So sorry, Adam.
Strike out.
Thanks, boys.
It's a pleasure, mate.
Thanks for playing.
Do call again.
Lockie, wrap this up for us.
Tell us something we haven't thought of in a while.
Ahoy, lads.
Happy gusto.
And happy gusto.
You haven't had a happy gusto before.
Happy Gusto to you, but it's better than sad gusto.
Yes.
Happy Gusto to you, Locke.
Who haven't we thought of for a while?
I was going through my life songs on Spotify,
and right down the bottom,
I found an absolute throwback by Brian McFadden,
and I thought that would be a great one.
I don't think I've thought of McFadden for a while.
I thought of McFadden this year.
I would have thought of Ronan Keating.
Now, I know they're not the same,
but they're in the same era.
Species.
If they're so species, same genus,
where Australia went,
we will take Irish singers.
Yes.
But be they bad boy or not.
Yeah.
And we will welcome them.
Yes.
I don't.
I think I'm clear on McFadden.
Did they come out of the same band or different band?
Different band?
Different band.
Different band.
Different era.
Same era.
Yeah.
West Life was one.
Fadden.
Yep.
And then Boy Zone, would that be?
Great cool.
Couldn't tell you.
Couldn't tell you.
That sounds right.
And then McFadden was engaged to Delta or just.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was when Australia, we thought we were in love.
with him, but then he wronged Delta and was banished.
I think we've seen him since.
Or thought about him.
Andy hasn't thought about him this year, but he's showing evidence he has thought about him
previously because he does have a pretty good dossier on him, but it wasn't compiled this year,
which I think is clear from me.
Yeah, you got yourself a hat, lucky.
Awesome.
Yes, what would you like?
There's two to choose from.
The one you might find in a Colorado gas station or quite simply put the worst hat we've had
for some time in the MIG engineering.
Tough choice.
I think the trucker hat's selling one that might suit my head,
so I might have to go with that one.
Yeah, good, yeah, staying choice.
Thanks very much.
I couldn't trust the Velcro on the other.
Well, done, mate.
Thanks, lads.
Hey, and we promised by the end of this show
that you would give us some more prizes
that are available in the prize pool for the price is correct.
featuring the tip in point.
Yep.
You ready?
Because I got the list.
Can you give us two?
Okay.
Yeah, I can.
Great, great.
Here we go.
Do you want to do two?
Okay.
You ready?
Oh, yeah, no, I'm ready.
It's time here
Hover Air Waterproof Camera
Hover Air
Wow hover air
From what I remember
I think this is like a waterproof
drone that you take with you in the ocean
Nod from Kali
This is awesome
I think you kind of just
It can track you and stuff
It's not cheap
It's over two grand
For our show
I mean we can get a shot
We've been trying to work out
How to get some wide shots
Of the pool
Of the pool
But also underwater
And again, it's been a few months since we did Golden Day.
So before I remember from the ad, it's like, you know,
splashing around in the water, take it to the beach with you.
Really?
Maybe for like surfing or I don't know if you're out on a boat.
You can just get it to film you.
It's a waterproof drone.
It can crash into the water and it just kind of floats.
So you don't have to worry about flying it over the water.
It had me well hooked.
I almost bought two of them from memory, but I've just bought one.
Because it comes in a little over a grand.
We needed that at this radio station.
Remember the first drone the radio station ever bought?
On the first day, Blake flew it above Albert Parklight and it dropped in and they never got it back.
Straight in, very first.
It would have been so expensive.
Every remote control helicopter I've ever had.
And I went through, I reckon I'd bought about three or four over the journey of my 20s
because I just had a fantasy about being good at remote control helicopters.
It would hover.
He'd be like, ooh, that's fun.
And then it'd go back down.
He'd be like, yeah, they'd get in the hang of this.
I'd go up, you'd like kind of hover for two meters.
you're like back down like yeah no this is good got this and then you'd just send it up
and it had got like 20 meters and then it'd start like plummeting to earth
and panic and jammed the thrall full on and then it would zoom up like 50 meters
and then just it was out of it and it was just like 10 houses away and that was it
every helicopter would go that way and Blake did it with the drone we've got charged for another
one like me because they have auto hover okay hang out just randomly looking
it's a piano embleon
What?
I think this is a piano.
You should get more information before you do it.
Oh, Jack, it's just on a spreadsheet.
I'm trying to remember the ad.
I'm pretty sure it's a keyboard
that teaches you how to play piano
and it links to an app.
I actually would like this.
See? I think those people that would enjoy the piano M-Learn.
If my memory serves me correct,
this state-of-the-art and sleek keyboard
sinks seamlessly via Bluetooth
to a patented app, which will effortlessly teach you piano better than any other program
by lighting up the keys and telling you kind of when to do it.
Carl says that's correct.
Not yet, but also, Hem, how many months or years will it take you to learn piano efficiently?
Using the emblem.
Two months. Two months. Two months. Two months. You'll be playing piano off scratch.
Amazing.
both of those worth getting
so make sure you go to Amish.com if you want to be in the audience.
Do you want to just one random other one?
Give us a jack.
It's too many.
Crew neck
T-shirts times four.
Oh yeah, these are the heaviest t-shirts in the world.
Is that a good thing?
I think so.
It's not my preferred.
It's by a company that, you know, this is
Again, it was just an Instagram ad.
I think it's for people that like a very heavy cotton t-shirt.
It's definitely not a jumper.
Not a jumper.
Short sleeves.
Looks like a t-shirt.
It is a t-shirt, but yeah, verging on the weight of a jumper.
Now, is it heavy cotton or has it got weights in it?
No, it's heavy cotton.
But if you win this at the game show, it's yours.
You can do what you want with it.
If you somehow still find it too light, even though it's the heaviest in the world,
you are more than welcome to sew in small weights.
or, I don't know, you know, pouches of sand.
Can we make one rule?
Yep.
You cannot wear it before going in the pool.
Oh, dangerous.
You don't.
You don't get you.
Yeah, we can't get you.
Oh, you're right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Can't get you out.
We wouldn't want people at the bottom.
Might not even wear it on the bleachers in case we get creaking and drinking.
Okay.
Next week, next week.
One of the bigies.
Ooh.
Yep.
One of the, one of the alpha dog prizes.
Thanks for listening.
