A listener production.
Activate your internet.
Because the Hamish and Andy podcast starts in three, two.
Sorry, still buffering.
Ahoy to me 16mm.
Hamish.
All right.
Possibly film or possibly you insult me, sir,
if that's the length of the SP because I assure you,
it is many mills, many, many mills.
20 plus.
I think you were
film closer.
Yeah,
because I'm worried
to my 35 mil.
Here we go,
baby.
Yes.
And I'm the 70 mill.
The big of the big boy.
The superior print.
The three main motion picture film formats.
The 16 mirror.
Introduced in 1923 by Kodak.
A.k.a.
I'm in.
Yes.
The opposite of IMAX.
And then, but interestingly enough,
35 mil was introduced in 1892, so they went smaller before going bigger with IMAX in 1950s.
IMAX came in the 1950s.
Yeah, well, 70 mil did.
Yeah, gotcha.
Yeah, yeah.
How thick's your film?
70 mil.
Oh, that's a whopper of a film.
Might actually not, well, it's been how wide's your film, I suppose.
Yeah, how wide's your film?
Well, how thick the film is very thin, thickness-wise.
You just see it.
Yes. Do you think a wide, yeah, but wide and thick could be.
I mean, I like seeing you try and defend this position,
but I believe we're at least talking about width or length.
Definitely not thickness.
I also to Rose, who went to hamish nanny.com,
two clicks very simply and uploaded what she's been doing.
Two of the longest clicks of your life.
What am I doing on a website in this day and age?
Tell us what you speak to do.
They encourage people to go to hamishdedy.com.
That's the way they interact with us.
It's nice.
It's actually in this day of everything being frictionless and too easy
and our brains turning to sludge.
It's nice to do things in the closest way to analogue
that the digital world still offers.
I present you, Rose.
Ahoy, Hamish, Andy and the little boy.
So I have a 20-month-old, Ned, and a four-month-old Leo.
But Leo has not pooed.
five weeks, not days weeks. So we went to the doctors and, look, it all checked out. They said
he's extremely healthy, he's gaining weight. I'm not showing any signs of constipation. He is just
absorbing 100% of my breast milk with little to no waste. So I guess you could say I have
SB, superior breast milk. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Wow. Wow. Does that theory mean that you could
essentially eat so efficiently that there was no waste product?
I don't think so.
Well, I mean, if a baby stands the biggest chance, I think,
drinking the baby's mother's breast milk,
probably that's the point where you're like,
okay, we have a perfect one-to-one ratio here of food being used.
Yeah, so don't go try buying breast milk on the Facebook marketplace or something,
Jake.
It just means you get your diet so perfectly right that you don't, there's no waste.
Hmm.
I think even if you just were drinking your own.
blood, somehow there would still be waste.
It's a good question, Jack.
Like, I guess even water has ways.
Like, you know, you're going to pee it out.
Yes.
Like, what's, I mean, if you crack this, as someone that's in...
I'm sure the baby's still doing wheeze.
Yep, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, you want to be hydrated.
Look, I'm in, I'm currently deep in this game.
I know I'm not doing many on-air updates,
but as someone that's developing a power honey energy gel
in the background at the moment,
thinking a lot about how the body absorbs energy
and haven't asked around any of my contacts
in the gel game or the honey game
but I assume that would be the holy grail
that would be the holy grail to go
we created a food
is perfectly absorbed
yes
put that out of the packet
even if it doesn't work
that's true you can't check a lot of stuff
in the packet we'd never do it but a lot of people do
would you play the health stars
if you release the honey
I don't think honey would do well as a health star
just because it's the whole point of power,
once the power honey's made from the world's strongest bees,
we're going for 27 grams of just pure carbs.
It's just fructose and glucose.
That's all it is is sugar.
Right.
So I don't think the Health Star system is going to smile kindly.
They don't understand.
I mean, this is for endurance athletes.
They're not looking for a balanced diet out there.
No.
They're looking for the benefits of ingesting something.
made by the world's strongest bees.
Having said that, the Hellstar system continually surprises me.
Yeah.
Like so, so, yeah.
And as we said, it is a bit of a self-report.
You kind of put your own on there.
That's true.
But the fine is significant.
Significant, yes.
You're feeling lucky and you want to be the first ever six-star food.
Certainly welcome to play the game, but you will be, you'll be rounded up.
All right, let's jump into it.
Come on through the prize.
That is correct.
Featuring the tip-in point.
It's something for everyone.
Got nostalgia,
whilst at the same time perfectly skirting copyright laws.
Our game show, five weeks away from filming it.
Yeah, amazing.
Amazing.
People are requesting to be in the audience.
Thank you.
Go to Hamishen.com for that.
I mean, over a thousand already.
Well over a thousand, which means that's approaching 100,000.
Approaching 100,000.
Approaching 100,000.
Is that the next big milestone after 1,000 is 100,000?
Well, to be honest, Jack, and I hope this doesn't falsely inflate how popular this idea is.
But it's approaching a million for submissions.
As every hour ticks past and more emails come in, we are approaching a million submissions.
So thank you so much to the response from everyone.
Overwhelmed.
Huge.
Because, of course, if you're in the audience, you could be playing or getting wet.
Or getting wet.
But much like a different game show
where you can be selected from the crowd
to come on down.
Down?
Ours come on through.
Because we don't have elevated bleachers.
So you'll already be at ground level.
I think we might.
Okay, so you go down and then go through.
There'll be probably like a crowd of cameras
or, you know, staff that you'll have to get through.
We'll make sure there's something for you to get through.
And then you're on to the main stage.
We'll pick some people to be in the audience next week.
But can I say the part that I'd forgot that we'd ask for is proof that you can swim
because obviously some of the videos coming in, Jack,
of the guy that trained his dog to push him into the pool was my favourite.
And yes, he easily got out, which makes him ripe for a contestant on the price is correct,
featuring the tip in point.
So are most people sending videos, they've bothered to go down to the local pool or backyard
and film a new or just giving you holiday footage?
No, just find a pool because we did ask, show us, you can.
can go in fully clothed. To be honest, from memory, this is a lot of rigmarole to save us having
to spend $1,000 on a safety person on the day. I think it's to cover ourselves legally,
to just go, well, they said they could go in a pool. Yes, so we don't have to worry about that.
It increases your chances, but it's not mandatory. You can also request to start and double.
Aim, before we will do that next week. That's more logistics. I was asked again by the people at the TV
studios, what's the game?
And we went, yes, we'll get to that.
So the three of us got together this week.
At the beginning, it seems so early to be kind of panicking about format.
Do you know what I mean?
Well, people spend years, traditionally people spend years perfecting a format.
I understand that.
But I think so much of it's in place.
Like, you know, the prize pool is purchased.
I would think in a normal game show, the prizes are the last thing they think of.
So I think we're sort of, I just feel like we're so well.
ahead of organisation. Yeah, okay. Yeah, I get what you mean. Well, we got together to try and work
out what the game was and I said to the TV studio that I'd present it back to them in a very
easy pitch document. Yeah, and that makes sense. So they need to, because obviously there's people
that work at the studios that need to be able to look at one document to go, what are we
setting up for on the day? Like 134 people are coming in, got three guys hosting it, two models that
I still have to cast. And thank you for the model submission.
and, you know,
sundry other employees,
but yeah,
they probably do need to know
what's going on at their studio.
So this was a good move by you,
and Odo to go,
let's jump on a,
you know,
jump on a zone.
And if you were pitching a format
internationally, Jack,
you would come with a really concise video
with all the format points listed.
Like when I tried to get you
to do Celebrity Medicine Cabinet
for me, Jack.
Yeah, and I didn't get to this stage.
No, no.
So I thought the meeting went well.
I've tried to pluck the bits
that were concise.
I wouldn't have called it concise,
but I'll see how you've added it.
And put it into the format
that they were hoping for.
A pitch deck.
Here it is.
The new game show
taking the world by Storm is here.
The price is correct.
Featuring the tip-in point.
The game has been carefully crafted
and developed by some of TV's
greatest minds.
I've had to think about what the game could be.
Yeah, great.
Me too.
Let's get this ball rolling.
Andy said, I've got an idea about the game.
I assume there would be many games in the show.
Like on Price's Right, there wasn't this one game, there was many games.
Yes, yes.
I was thinking that for the overall format.
If you had to describe the Price's Rights format, you would go,
oh, that's a game about guessing prices.
Gotcha.
That has many aspects.
So I feel like we borrow from that.
100%.
But we've also got to pull, so we can't be accused of stealing
because they didn't ever pull at all in their show.
And we're not.
In a format that is nothing like the prize is right.
You'll be surprised what contestants have to do.
What about five people come down at a time?
They make their way down or come on through,
and they stand alongside the pool.
This is great.
It's the exact what I was thinking,
except I was thinking we have 13 or 14 come down,
so we only do 10 rounds.
What, you reckon we've got to do every single person in the whole?
No.
Not everyone has to come down.
I mean, it would be,
that's what they would love.
Like in the process, right, barely anyone gets to come down.
Yeah.
Yeah, I know, but I think the fun part is,
were we hoping to get every single person wet or give them a prize?
Yeah, I don't think, I think that was discussed,
but I don't think we need to do that.
So it's four contestants playing each round for a chance at incredible prizes.
In my mind, we've got this prize pool that is amazingly exciting.
It's just way better than the prizes you see on game shows, right?
We're not, this is not like folding chairs.
This is a frigging table tennis robot, you know, and plus others.
Like, there's going to be amazing prizes out there.
So in my mind, I was like, you bring out the prize first.
You go, okay, it's the table tennis robot.
And it was like getting excited because a lot of people will know, you know,
will have a thought of I want, I want, that's the thing I've come for.
And so then one version I had in my mind was everyone that wants that
comes down and, you know, like,
how do you run that?
How do you...
How do you run that?
Just let him come down.
Come on through, should you want this?
But you can't come down for every prize.
So you can only come down for one prize?
Maybe you're going to come down for one, maybe you can only come out for two.
Yeah, it's chaos.
It's chaos.
So what if there's an obviously better prize, like a jet ski,
and we have 75 people come and stand at the pool?
Well, you're going to have a much, much lower.
a chance of winning it.
So to be clear, only four contestants will get the chance to play for prizes never seen
before on regular game shows.
And the masterminds behind the format have come up with a clever way to subtly suggest this.
One option I had was bringing up a boring prize.
Like, oh, this is something you get on a normal game show.
It's a toaster.
And everyone's like, boo, and we're all boo the normal prize because we're like, that's not what we're there for.
Yeah.
We hate that.
And so, you know, there's a bit of like aggression at the normal prize.
A format where every round is designed to hold your attention from start to finish.
How many regular rounds?
Did you say it are going to be?
I don't know, nine.
I think it's going to go forever.
We're going to be way past.
We're going to be way fast.
What would price of this have like three rounds?
Three rounds, I think.
Two or three rounds.
Yeah.
And then the showcase.
But we don't.
have the studio hire for that long.
Like we can't afford to have, we can't afford to have.
Well, we need to get a lot of people in the pool and we need to give away a lot of prizes.
That's the big, that's the maths we're working against.
Are we holding onto this idea that everybody gets to play where
there's no other game show where that happens.
So sometimes you're just an audience member and that's your bad love.
I'm with you, Jack.
So again, not everyone gets to play.
It's four contestants per round.
And these rounds are classic games beloved by many Australians.
Stranger or Dad's a great one.
Am I naked?
It's probably a good one if we get someone on the phone.
Yes.
Or like naked behind a curtain?
Yep.
Jack's just handed me a night here saying,
should I be the curtain monitor popping my head back to?
No, Jack.
But don't forget the prize blitz
that happens in the middle of the show.
Ten people come down.
Five rounds of paper, scissors, rock.
If you win, you push the other person in
and you get your prize.
and it's just blitz, blitz, blitz.
It still takes time.
No, no, this would be a blitz, blitz, blitz.
The blitz has to be like,
Jack Post, you've won this.
Hamish Blake, you've won this.
Like, that's how blitz it has to be.
And by the end, you've reached the tipping point.
34 contestants vibe for the showcase.
What about they go to either side of the pool?
We have a question.
Just keep doing 50-50s.
Oh, yeah, like you do it at Tribuneite sometimes
where you hands up or hands down or whatever.
Heads and tails.
And then Jack, you and I, you know, you and someone or maybe in Andy,
then you have a rope to drag across the group.
So it's like a mass push-in, like or a bar, a broomstick.
And then just to sweep everyone in that's got it wrong.
We could make it, and I'll just do a bit of researching here.
Because I'll put this showcase together
because I'll know all the prizes that are going in this.
showcase. It'd be not price specific, but, you know, I'll come up with questions you couldn't
possibly know in advance. Right. If Hame's reading out and does this thing come with a, some feature
of it, there could be true. Yeah, that's good. There'd be no way to possibly know this stuff.
Yeah. Okay, so then what if the setup for that is Hamish reading questions,
Andy and I on either side of the pool with a really long broomstick that when you're
We push all at the same time and that whole group goes in the pool from that side.
Yeah.
Do you reckon you could get back your long sticks from when we did tallest hat?
Yeah, save some money on sticks.
That's a great idea.
Okay, I love that.
The price is correct.
Featuring the Tippin Point, the must watch game show this year,
premiering exclusively on YouTube in the coveted 7.30 p.m.
slot Sunday the 29th of November.
Well done, guys.
Bloody exciting.
And it still could be confusing for people, but I think you've got to listen to the
voice over there. You have listened to liars doing the voiceover.
Yes, yes.
Not us.
That's the brainstorming.
That's the brainstorming.
And again, the voiceover there is the correct format.
I'm actually excited because we now do have it kind of nailed down.
I've forgotten a little bit of that.
Now I'm remembering.
But the good news is it's going to kind of be like round one, four people come down.
Yep.
You get to play.
Three people we've pushed in.
Yep.
One person gets to play would be stranger or dad.
Am I naked?
Something like that.
You're spot on it.
So essentially you'll have, you could be playing for this and it's a regular prize.
This is my favourite part from you.
Everyone booed.
So that's still in.
We booed the price.
I think so.
Yeah.
It's a couch.
You could be playing for a couch.
Boo.
But hey, what are we actually playing for?
Robots.
Yeah.
Yes, everyone, then those people guess.
And just so people know, because I think we have 24 prizes,
only five of which have been revealed so far on the show.
We'll do a few more at the end of today.
But I, we talked about bundling them.
I think that's a good idea.
It's now going to be a bundle situation
where you're not just winning one prize per round,
but you're winning a bundle.
And you have to guess the price of the bundle.
Humulative price of the bundle.
And that way will at least have one or two in the bundle,
that haven't been revealed on the podcast.
So you can't really research it.
You just have to go off your vibe.
I think we're going to have, I think we're talking now,
structure just so people can get excited about the game
they could be playing in five weeks.
Round one, bundle.
Round two, different prize bundle.
Three or four prizes per bundle.
Round three, bundle.
Blitz round?
Oh, okay.
I thought we should break up two and three with Blitz.
No, I think the Blitz comes before.
The showcase.
So, like, towards the end of the show, that is just prizes, prizes, prizes.
It's going wild in there.
It's going to be an absolute orgy of prizes.
Okay, okay.
Or frenzy, frenzy.
Or blitz.
Is Blitz still rock paper scissors, or is that TBC?
TBC on the Blitz.
TBC on the Blitz.
And then the showcase, yeah, I like that.
Did you, we had, we said, like, a large number of people can come down and start playing for the showcase.
So even if you haven't won anything all day, you still go on, and I know the showcase is going to be a killer.
So I've got a chance for that.
All right, this is great.
Love it.
I don't think anyone's, I don't think anyone's,
disappointed with that. Sorry, early days about, yep, it's not 13 people playing for 10 rounds.
Not everyone has to get wet. You're absolutely correct.
Jack, a bunch of things come on via email about Hames Hives, to be Fairham.
Sure.
Anything per...
No, we welcome all questions.
Yeah, but anything that's crucial, obviously, I'll kick it back to your side of the fence.
Here's one that's going to shock you, Jack.
Yeah.
When Hame won the three-facts shoot out of the beach.
fact?
Oh, what was the, what was the, what was the,
male bees don't have,
a dad, they don't have a dad,
they have a grandpa, but I had a flood of emails saying that's wrong,
and he won incorrectly.
Yeah, exactly.
And someone wrote in, someone sent them,
you're not allowed to double cheat,
you're not allowed to fact check this up, I'm pretty sure, yeah,
drones come straight with, if they were
rulersly can't fact check so just make up
anything that you want. Yeah, exactly.
Mice, when you're not looking at them can float.
Like, whatever it is.
still not as impressive as the T-shirts
actually named after the letter.
I can't go into it, but a lot of people send
voicemail notes as well saying,
hey, you've got this wrong, this wrong.
It's too long and boring to play,
but I just feel like...
Oh, so you don't even have the evidence.
It's just a bit of hearsay.
And you can look at it in your own time.
All I'm saying is if we look at the leaderboard
on the three-facts shootout,
one stroke will be adopted.
So what fact was wrong?
So male bees...
It's boring, right.
Yeah, well...
It's boring.
You'll want to drag it back up
if you're going to question my bee knowledge
as a B timer, or I take it seriously.
We'll do it, we'll take the argument offline because we can't have people sit through it.
There's something more important for you.
Okay, but just so you know, as someone that is actually starting a B ranch
and running 5 million head of B plus, that's a big accusation to make.
I mean, I'm personally in charge of 5 million head of B, 5 to 6 million head of B.
Yeah, yeah.
So talk to me about it off air, but I will be, you want to come correct.
Okay.
Okay. Here's the other thing then that I'm worried for you.
You were saying you're going to get the highest hives, the highest bees in the world,
and that would make obviously the most strongest honey.
That's how much.
You can put in energy gel.
We got this note to send in from Jacob in Utah.
Oh, boys. I'm currently in my home in Utah looking out my window at some superior bees or S-Bs,
pollinating my flowers at whopping elevation of 1,555 meters above sea level.
A full 55 meters above the planned site for Hames' so-called highest hives
at a measly 1,500 meters.
Not only that, these bees are buzzing in Utah, which is known as the beehive state.
So just a friendly warning for you, Hamish.
The last thing I want is for someone to come along and start a competing
honey biz called spectacular
hames hives.
We are the original.
We are the original.
Hives on top of a very tall ladder
just to give it as many
extra feet as you possibly can.
Cheers boys.
Tempted to go and put my hives on top
of his hives, so they're always higher.
He was just looking at regular bays,
I think just flying around out there.
Looking at strong bees. Well, the good news is
we're still working on
the placement of the highest hives. And they hear that
immediately go, I just raise you 1560.
Well, this is good. This is what's important
for you. And there's no worries there.
What does tell me, though, is
he's probably got the climate
that's friendly to that.
I don't, I'm
not intimidated by someone saying we come from the
beehive state. Anything that makes
me worry that the bees there would be complacent
because they're famous bees and they stop working hard.
When I'm not,
our bees don't rely
on tricks like that
to go, well, we're the famous bees that you
heard about they're just simply the strongest bees and they simply go out there every day.
They work as hard as they can.
You're claiming the strongest because they're the highest.
We'll move them up.
We'll move them up.
You move them up.
If you are going to move them up, we've got another email from Lena who was watching a documentary
called Honeyland.
Have you seen that?
There are some rumours online that a bit of that's faked.
But yep.
Macedonia.
Yep.
They haven't seen it myself.
And I'm not saying I believe the rumors, but they are out there.
In Macedonia, honey being harvest for generations,
and it's a high, high country.
It's like, for instance, New Zealand averages like 400 metres above sea or average.
Average.
He's got some deep ditches, though.
Yeah.
Macedonia averages 760 metres above sea level.
They're ditchless.
You can't go off an average.
You're not thinking about the ditches, mate.
You've been tricked by a ditchless country.
All I'm suggesting is you should just be creative, creative.
creative with your tagline.
To my knowledge, and please stop giving me these facts,
because you're hurting my ability to say this.
To our knowledge, the highest, highest, the strongest bees.
We've never seen bees like this.
You can no longer say to our knowledge.
That's why I'm asking you to just stop giving me the knowledge.
I don't prefer you not to.
But you just haven't seen the strength of bees like this.
Jack, just be careful.
Are you about to give me knowledge?
I'm giving you helpful knowledge.
And remember, I'm a co-owner of Haymes,
You need the honey to start flowing so honey you can become money.
The highest point of New Zealand is 3,700 metres.
So you've got heaps of room to work with there.
We're not going to get one on top of Mount Cook.
You don't have to get it on the top, but even halfway up and you're doing pretty good.
Yep.
See?
And just to clarify for anyone thinks that was me saying, yes, I'm going to put a hive halfway on Mount Cook.
I'm not saying I will put it on that actual mountain.
But the mountain we're on, the mountain we're actually looking at,
because we've got access to a high country station,
is a glacial mountain.
So it's got a glacier up there that's too high for the bees.
Too cold.
Yeah, but we're going to get him with the crispness of glacial air
coming down off that mountain through the hives.
Glacial cooled high hives.
But that makes me think of like the really stiff honey again.
Yeah, remember.
Or we wanted running.
It's the freshness of a glacier,
but the warmth of coffee.
Yeah.
Or for the tea.
It's not going to be stiff honey, Jack,
especially not the high hive,
not the power honey, the energy gel.
I just tell you,
all jokes aside,
I'll actually have an enormous update for you next week.
I'm pledging an enormous update.
Can I just say, though?
Just be clear,
did you have the enormous update before we started this break?
Or is this reactionary to what's happening?
No, because so much is going on
that I've forgotten that it's unusual for me to be running a honey business.
Like an AJ, my friend,
that's helping me out here.
But doing all the work.
Well, AJ's been in New Zealand a few times more than I have.
But with, you know, suppliers, met with our manufacturers.
Doing all the way.
People they're going to be processing this.
Yeah.
To make the energy gels, like, you know, for people that have used them before,
they're in kind of a foil pouch, you rip the end off and you eat the honey.
You know, we're trying to get that right.
We want to be a very good user experience.
One of the quotes we got was you have to buy a minimum order for the role of just those
foils of half a million gels.
I'm like, wow, we're really starting a company here.
I hope people, you know, I hope people are there.
I hope people are like, okay, very excited.
Thanks for starting this honey business.
You've filled a gap in the market.
And I believe we are.
I certainly believe we are with the power honey that's going to be coming out of the
B ranch.
But just, yeah, it's just letting you guys know.
It's shocking me as much as anyone else how real this thing's becoming.
And that's why next week there will be genuine updates.
Okay.
rather than can kicking down the road.
Yes, great.
Good.
High hives and the first vintage,
and there'll be a lot of,
lot of things filled in.
A lot of honeycomb that gets filled in
and capped with information.
And I was actually in Chinatown on the weekend.
And walking through a trip or just...
Oh, yeah, no, we love Chinatown.
Yeah.
How do you, what would I...
Oh, you can be like the theatre region, for instance.
No, no, no.
The theatre, like, sometimes I'm walking through Chinatown.
Oh, yes, yes, you're cutting through.
I'm in a different mindset when I'm like, I go, oh, gosh, I loved China Town.
But when you're passing by versus deliberate trip,
I think you're heading with a different mindset.
So where are you going?
We've been to a restaurant, and there's a lot of my daughter loves Japanese stationery and stuff.
And like cute, tiny, tiny rubbers, stickers, mechanical pencils.
Spent quite a lot of time on this loop through the city to just.
often look to see what's around, see what's available.
That's a very cute cat rubber.
There's not enough, even if she becomes a professional grey-led portrait artist,
there's not enough time left in her life.
And she's only nine to use all the lead.
She has burned to do mechanical pencils.
I was going to say, to recoup the money and expenses.
That's also true.
But she needs, like, it's, yeah, loves it.
And it's sort of a status thing at school, too, like, who's got,
many mechanical pencils do you have? I've got six, I've got nine, I haven't got that one.
It's like, honey, they do exactly the same thing. She's, you know how Jay Leno has all those
cars in it? She's the Jay Leno of mechanical pencils. He just has an exquisite collection.
So anyway, we're doing this kind of lap. Then there's like a, there's a shop that make these
little cream, tiny little cream biscuits that is famous and you have to line up for it.
Standing in the line, so I'm like, all right, we just have, we'll just get a pack of these.
and I look to the left and there's a, you know, one of many stores, like big Chinese restaurants
that has like a digital billboard and it's kind of cycling through all the deals it has
during the week.
Right.
And I'm invested.
I'm like, you know, playing a little game.
I'm like, oh, okay, Monday night's this, you know, Tuesday night's sort of like,
all you can drink soft drink.
Wednesday nights, like banquet with $10 for unlimited beer.
And like, there's a couple of unlimited beer ones where I was like, this is, this could be good.
I wish I knew about this.
Yes.
Gets to one, and I can't remember what night is.
It was one of the week nights, and it was essentially they're going for a kids eat free night,
which is a kind of a common world that you enter into.
But we all know that's one of the most popularly exploited loopholes.
Right.
So you could go like kids under 12 eat free, then everyone's coming in with their 15-year-old going,
you know, act just punch and act young.
Yes.
Or if you didn't have, if you didn't specify, you could go, well, you know, well, this guy, he's my kid, he's 18, so he's eating for free, he's a very hungry boy.
So their condition was kids below 150 centimetres.
It's like a roller coaster.
So you can't lie about the age.
Someone's gone, let's put a, let's just call the cap.
Yes.
And 150 isn't that small.
Like, so you're actually being a bit generous there.
1.30 would have been...
How tall's Bruno Mars?
I don't know the 150.
You reckon?
I think he could eat forever.
Here's the thing.
It also, I feel like you're opening up a Hornet's nest here.
It's 165, sorry.
165.
They'd be small.
How tall's Carly Minogue?
I can check it.
Stand by.
Here's the loophole.
Are we not all someone's children?
So you're a kid.
No, I'm a kid.
If I was under one...
52.4.
Oh, she's just too big.
She would have to wear a flat.
She would have to just bend her knees a little.
But if she's in prison, she's very close to eating for free.
Danny DeVito, do you reckon?
Would he be well under 150?
I mean, Jane and Pinkett Smith is 151.
Come on.
Someone's going to eat for free here.
Yes.
Danny DeVito.
I've met Danny DeVito in real life.
Snooky.
Snooky.
I probably need to eat for free these days.
I feel like she's dropped off everyone's radar.
She's 142.
She eats for free.
Ariada Grande, 152.
Sabrina Carp and not 152.
Where's Danny DeVito?
There are so many 152s here.
I reckon, I mean, and I know we say this as taller men who,
I know it's a privilege we didn't ask for,
but some people are a bit sensitive about their height.
I, obviously, being in the 140s,
that no one wants to be.
Oh, you reckon so many 5-8 and saying
I'm hearing so many 152
is I reckon anyone that's 149
goes, well 150 is too close
151 looks like I've added one
to call me 152
and that's far enough away. No one's really
going to measure me to check this.
Danny DeVito?
152.
He's like, he's like,
it's the most popular shortkey.
Just hide, just say no one's measuring me.
You can't go under 150, can you?
If you're a celebrity, your height, as long as it's vaguely true, your height is something that we must take your word for.
We're never going to lay down Sabrina Carpenter and go, hide order, hide order.
I mean, they might at this restaurant.
That's probably why she wants to give it a clear.
She tries to get in claiming a 149, and they hide ordered her.
She'd have to admit, that's the tough thing.
She'd have to go, yeah, look, I am, I lie, but I want the banquet.
You're on to something you have.
I've accidentally won't something wide open.
What I'm...
You have because Dolly Barton, 152.
It's the number you go for.
The 152 Club.
Courtney Kardashian, 152.
Impossible.
Can't have this many people lying on 152.
The other thing I thought was a shame
because you're like, okay, well, this does open the door.
If you are a smaller adult to come in in your 20s
and eat for free, just be like, look, I'll take it.
Yeah.
I do feel like,
So if you had a very tall nine-year-old, it is a bit discriminatory.
Is it to go this punishes tall children?
Genuine children, not just adult children.
Yeah.
Like this is, if you've got a kid that's just having a growth spurt, Ellie,
or is that the restaurant's prerogative just to be like,
look, we understand gross spurts,
and we're not going to fuel your kid's growth spur.
You've got to do it.
You've got to do whatever else with a tall kid does,
give them a pack of wheat mix a day.
It's not on our head.
You can't come here every Thursday and eat us out of house and home.
I think so.
all the benefits you get from underage sport being the giant.
Yeah, he's going to be fine.
He's going to be fine.
He's going to be fine.
You can't come here and bankrupt us because you bought your giant 10-year-old.
Anyway, we'd like to meet Danny DeVito.
He's upstairs, but you will have to pay.
Hey, there's certain social rules that we know.
Keep left on an escalator generally.
Yep.
Give way to the right in a car.
That's more of a driving rule, but...
That's less of an unwritten rule more of one that's in the rule book.
But I feel like when you notice some people in society not abiding by a rule or particularly
in social situations, it's nice of us as a show with a lot of people listening to try and
establish a new social norm.
Today's one comes from when you're in the car and someone calls you.
I've been in the situation many times where I'm chatting to a friend and then very, very
late in the conversation, they declare their wife's there or their kids there or their
mum's in the car or something. And it's unacceptable. It is unacceptable. It's a red flag. If you're
going to indulge in the luxury of speaker, you must play by the rules. Just declare it. Just declare it.
Always ringing in my ear is when you arrive back from overseas and you get that message from
Australian immigration where the lady says, if you've got meats or fish, just declare it.
You won't get in trouble if you declare it.
Exactly. Exactly.
So in that spirit, because that one really sits with me,
I really want to make it very clear for anyone driving in a car
and you've got another passenger, if you pick up speakerphone, just declare it.
This is a message for the Australian public.
When driving a car and receiving a phone call in Australia,
there are strict rules that apply to you.
Sometimes you have passengers in the car
that might require the incoming caller to adjust their language.
If you do have a passenger,
Just Declare it. Passengers such as your wife or partner.
Hello buddy.
Good, mate. What chapter?
Not much.
Yeah, right. I thought you might be in the dog house still after Saturday night.
But I was just thinking, look, if Beck does leave you, I mean it'd be sad and everything,
but maybe you could ask her new girl Carly out at work.
I've seen the way she looks at you and I think you'd be in with a chance.
Uh, hi, hey, I'm actually here.
Just declare it.
Passengers may include young ones like a niece or nephew.
Hey, how are you, mate?
Ander, oh my fucking God, did you see Gornis fucking mark on the weekend?
Did you see it?
Hi, hummus.
Oh, you're sorry, mate, my four-year-old nephew, Rome.
He's in the car here as well.
Just declare it.
A passenger may include a friend.
Hey, Jesso.
Did you hear what Carly did?
No.
Oh, she's such a bitch.
I just said I was going to wear that red dress with the puppy.
and she went out and bought the exact same one.
Um, I'm right here, Jess.
Oh yeah, sorry, Jess.
Just declare it.
Even an elderly passenger should be declared.
Hey, Hammer.
Giney, bud.
Hey, a bit of a controversial one for you.
I'm just driving along thinking.
What do you think about mandatory euthanasia when people turn 80 or even 75?
I mean, is it like, you can't get old and you just sort of clogging up the system.
And I don't know.
It's not popular, but it's something to think about.
Um,
I'm not sure I agree with that.
Ah, sorry, mate.
Mum's in the car with me.
Oh, sorry, Mark.
Sorry, I couldn't come to your 75th.
Just declare it.
So at the start of every phone call in your car,
if you have a passenger, just declare it.
Hey, Hamer, I've got Becca in the car with me here.
Oh, hello, Becca.
Hey, hey, Andy, was a little bit of an ass on Saturday night.
I'd be spoiling you to make up for it.
Oh, I certainly am, buddy.
You cannot be penalised if you just declare it.
All right, as promised before we hang up the headphones for today.
Why not reveal a few more prizes?
This is killing me that you guys don't know the list of prizes.
Because every time I look at this list, I get very excited.
So you should.
And I want to share it.
He's done.
He's done.
There's no duds in there at the moment.
I think we've only revealed five and I want three of them.
That's great.
That's a good hit.
You want the ping pong robot, I would assume?
No.
No.
Really?
Yeah, I want the waterproof drone.
Yes, that's amazing.
The piano that teaches you how to play.
Yep.
And the car.
I mean, everyone wants the car.
That's the big ticket item.
That is the most expensive.
It is the one-seater electric Porsche.
I think it's a Porsche 964.
You know, if you can envisage it, you sort of, you're sticking out the top.
The windscreen comes up to about your neck.
Yeah.
But my God, it's, boy, it's made for drifting.
Yeah.
It's unbelievable.
They say it's a one-half-sized replica, which I guess,
makes sense, even though you would think...
Looks like a quarter.
Looks like a quarter of a...
It looks like a quarter of it.
It kind of does the maths,
because it's like, it is half the length.
I think it's almost two metres long
and a real Porsche is like four or whatever.
So it's sizable and you can get a full-sized.
You don't be confused with a toddler.
This ain't a kid.
No, I can't stress this enough.
I've never seen one in Australia.
It came at some rigmarole from getting it
from China clear through customs.
You probably have...
have to use it in a private property.
I can't imagine this is...
I think it would be even more heavily
policed than the golf cart that Jack tried to get,
which you're allowed to drive within two kilometres
of the golf course. But I mean, that's a hell of a
prize. Hell of a prize. You got some more for us?
Yeah. Do you want a few? Do you want a few today?
Yeah, absolutely. Because I feel I hate
sitting on this surprise. Alright, okay, ready?
Yep.
It's a minute.
Clay Target shooting robot.
What?
Hear me out.
What?
Hear me out.
Yes, this is a state of the art.
Looks to be brand new and I think it's an industry that needs a shake-up
because I've been clay target shooting three or four times
and it always seems to be quite old machinery.
This thing is a beauty.
Looks like Dyson could have made it.
But just to be clear, it's not made by Dyson.
So it's flinging out the clay pigeons?
Flings out the clay little orange clay targets.
I think it comes with a bunch of them.
Yes, obviously, it would help if you're into target shooting.
and you have a rural property
where you can legally discharge your shotgun.
You're not just something you take into the street
and play with the fruit.
Shotgun not included.
Shotgun not included.
You have to go through the licensing process.
I think it is a category G license for a shotgun
could be an age check with your local authority.
But again, we can't do the licensing ourselves.
But if you are a clay target shooting enthusiast,
this is the model for you.
I think it's got an app.
The memory, I think it links to your phone.
And they're regular-sized pigeons, clay pigeons?
Or is it?
Yep, it's competition, Olympic level.
Let's not forget.
This is an Olympic sport.
So it could be the start of your road to Brisbane 32 if you catch the bug.
And I also think, I also think, say you're going away with a bunch of families over the holidays.
Like, let's say you go into a caravan park or a holiday park somewhere.
I couldn't see the harm in taking this along and playing some fun catching games at the beach with the kids.
I'd go pretty quick.
Oh, they do, even without the gun.
They slow down.
No, they slow down.
They float, you know, once they get.
So you send the kids 50 metres down the beach.
All right, guys, here we go.
And, of course, always pick up the targets afterwards, don't litter on the beach.
But I think it could be a fun catching game.
Or it's better for Jack who just hates walking his dog.
I don't hate walking him.
Yes, you would love that.
You would have to 3D print, I think, soft rubber ones for a dog.
Yes.
Because they are quite brittle.
I mean, they're designed to explode on impact with shotgun pellets.
But I think there could be a lot of fun in just a civilian-level catching game,
but again, to get the most out of it.
Could you throw rocks at it or would it be moving too fast?
100% you can...
That's the fun.
That's the fun you do.
I think on the app you can change the speed settings too.
Okay.
So you might not need...
He does say a lot of my things.
This is now so long ago.
Before going, yeah, I'll have that.
Guys, it was one hour.
I'd have two calls.
and cheesecake, and I was just burning through every ad I saw I purchased.
I can't sit down and go on three dates with every item to get to know it.
This is what I remember from Golden Hour.
But if it's a robot, you're right, it's got an app.
Yeah, it has to.
Hard to you see this thing.
I mean, you don't even have to be into the ancient art of clay target shooting to appreciate.
I think when you see this thing, you go, I don't know anything about this sport.
That looks state of the art.
Can't wait to take it away with the kids on holidays.
They can have an absolute ball.
Probably wear a helmet.
Now that I'm thinking about it, you know, wear a helmet for the kids.
What's all those kids down the beach wearing helmets doing?
Oh, they must have the latest Christmas gift.
And you probably want to be sparse at the beach as well, not families.
Oh, 100%.
100%.
We're not responsible for how you use it.
No, no, it's this I'm talking more like you're going to like a really remote holiday park
and you've got stretch miles of beach to yourself.
So yeah, make sure everything's clear down rain and then have a really good.
Okay, great fun.
What's the next one?
It's a new.
Set of MetaQuest goggles.
Virtual Reality meta quest.
Wow.
Five are we up to?
It's the latest one.
Wow.
I saw an ad.
And look, I've actually have a pair of these.
So, you know, I got them.
When I was doing Lego Masters last year,
I was playing a lot of virtual golf in the dressing room out of the back.
You know, just in quick increments because I'm always working very hard on that show.
But I was able to, you know,
and there play famous golf courses around the world in perfect virtual reality.
How awesome.
Some people love them and if you're if you're curious, this is the set for you.
I think the technology's got pretty good.
You could probably just go and relax as well.
If you wanted a bit of time away from your kids, you could go into the lounge room and just put on and just on a beach.
You just watch Netflix and stuff in there.
Can you?
Yeah.
Yeah, and you can set the room to like a log cabin or whatever.
So it's like you're watching a big screen at a log cabin.
That's good.
That's good.
I mean, it is a good prize.
I think it's a step up from the road by the clay pigeon.
I think more people will get use out of it than the clay pigeons.
Yes, that's true.
Again, you never, I mean, I don't think this is a gateway to Brisbane 32.
If you want to represent Australia, I don't think we're going to have, I don't think
VR will be in the Olympics, but it's just a straight up, that's just a straight up good prize.
Straight up good prize.
You want one more?
Yes, please.
This is a pretty big ticket.
It's a year.
Cheapest available flights for two.
New York City plus four free beers
and old mates pubs.
No.
Why not, I say.
Fantastic.
Why not?
Send someone to our pub, Andrew.
Yes.
You and a friend,
on the absolute cheapest available flights,
haven't actually bought them yet
because you kind of have to wait to book.
Yes.
But it will be,
get a neck pillow,
because you could be flying through Guanzo
or many regions of China,
Russia,
North Korea.
Who knows?
Probably not through North Korea.
You won't be allowed into the States.
No.
But there'll be several stops along the way.
It's not going to be direct by any stretch of the imagination.
But when you get there,
bleary-eyed, tired, just shaking.
Realising you have to pay for your own accommodation.
Yes.
And after, you know, catching the $25 cab fare downtown in New York City,
all of the sting will be taken out as you wonder.
You get exclusive VIP access.
through the front door.
What is that in town?
It just means we'll let them know you're coming.
But if you go in the afternoon, there's no cue.
Straight to the bar, four schooners, thanks.
Completely on the house.
Thanks to your friends, Hamish and Andy.
I love it.
Thanks for listening.
