Starting point is 00:00:00 A least-knife production. Activate your internet. Cause the Haymission and the Podcast starts in 3, 2, sorry, still buffering. One. Ciao, ciao, ciao! Italian. I'm at one eighth. Yeah, no, but you're at 10.
Starting point is 00:00:29 You're at 10. Italian after you've said my hometown. Yeah, you're at 10. I don't go. I don't go. Good morning, everyone. English. Give us horse and Italian.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Halt, Jay. You don't know Italian. I'm allowed to say Italian after. I think we know say Italian after. I think we know it chownies. But it just don't lead to everyone heading to the spring race in Carnival to see the pronto how chares the fast horses. Anyway, we are not doing a hand break as we discuss what Cund just from but I realize that we I hadn't represented your family ties yet him
Starting point is 00:01:05 but and uh yeah to I spray go I I um I suspect put some accent on it I suspect the police over there do that when they go up to people instead of allow a lower low they would cha cha cha hey we have another matter to jump to you also when they find a crime y'all mum mum me there's a whole lot of Italian. A whole lot of Italian police phrases that I can teach you. Hey, we've got something else to jump to straight away. We do, and last week you put... We wouldn't be the only people to have walked away
Starting point is 00:01:36 from last podcast's episode and thought to themselves, all right, well, we're in the middle of the chicken wars, the great chicken wars of 2018. Scirmishes have been fought between a whole lot of chickens and a whole lot more chickens, both of your respective chicken franchises. And whilst we had an amazing experiment to decide who would be the ultimate victor of the wars, it didn't feel like we'd actually reach an armistice stage because, as people well versed, if you're listening to this in order,
Starting point is 00:02:06 and we highly recommend you do because there's a lot of assumed knowledge that gets gathered up. As we all know, you only had 20 hats for sale. Right, 20 hats for my face. They sold out of my fake chicken store. They sold out so quickly that could we really get a proper reign on that. So, the merchandise challenge. So, the merchandise battle didn't really end the war.
Starting point is 00:02:22 The great merchandise battle, the way we wanted it to, and people will be familiar. That last episode, we put to Jack, I put to both of you, what if we did this for real? We have for the last show of the year, we run your chicken shops for real, we can invite some real people to come along, taste the chicken, enjoy the customer service, enjoy the whole customer experience.
Starting point is 00:02:43 And right, right, the two chicken shops. Give some feedback. A whole lot of chickens and a whole lot more chickens. And maybe based on customer service, enjoy the whole customer experience. And right, the two chicken chops. Give some feedback. A whole lot of chickens and a whole lot more chickens. And maybe based on customer experience, that really is at the end of the day for any fast service restaurant, that's what they're based on. Do the other customers going to come back? It was hard to tell how Jack felt about the challenge at the time. I mean, we laugh about hand breaks, but oh my God, like we just told our 14-year-old,
Starting point is 00:03:04 we're going up the country for four days to visit Nana. So much flopping off the back of his chair rolling of the eyes groaning, thumping of his head on the table. It reminds us of that song by Justin Bieber. What do you mean, Jack? You couldn't work out your body language. I just felt that I had one of the challenge and did we really need to go through with another stage. Oh, look, maybe. So that's why we had a listen back and we've put it to Justin Bieber's song
Starting point is 00:03:30 just to see if we can get a sense of what Jack was feeling. Oh, that was so insane. I propose we hold an event. Genuine chance of people to come and experience first hand and hold a lot of chickens. A lot more chickens has to offer. You each have a stall. Let's have a good old fashioned chicken. Chicken off.
Starting point is 00:03:48 You actually run the business. I felt like I just competed in a competition that I knew the outcome was if you win, you win. If I compete in this, do all my homework, paint my banner, paint my sign, run the change shop and win. I like it when I'm printed. Do I win? It's my name. That to me is the whole lot of chicken.
Starting point is 00:04:08 A lot more chicken's way. Well, not really. Actually, people like an artisan hand painted. You know, a mark of the movie. Yeah, a golden hand painted store. No. Can you make it? I'll make up your mind, but do you mean...
Starting point is 00:04:21 Chicken fast. He doesn't want it. I don't want it. I don't want it. I don't see way out of it Shop V shop will you put your chicken with your mouth? I don't want to I don't want to I don't want to. I don't want to. How do you feel? How do you feel?
Starting point is 00:04:54 Oh my God, I'll be honest. I feel like you're road blocking a little bit, Jack. That's my feelings on it, but if you must push ahead. Oh, the boy that was forced to have fun, a new book, a sad memoir by Jack Post. My time living in the horror of a podcast that was just trying to have fun. Every day, gun to my head, fine, okay. Smile, boys. Alright, fine, I'll try. I don't want to, but I'll do the, so Jack, I don't know, and in I, maybe because we did a six week
Starting point is 00:05:30 retreat in bar and bay on like body language and like how to emotionally communicate, we were just picking up a few vibes from you there. You went 100% into chicken fest as the idea. So I had another idea, Jack. And I've put it to Hamish, but we paused it because Ham said, I don't wanna work on this. Yeah, I don't want the judge,
Starting point is 00:05:48 because I'm ultimately gonna be the judge of the chicken wars. I don't want the judge to be colluding with any one of the chicken stores. You gotta be neutral. I have to be Switzerland as much as I can. But I was like, what does Jack want? He wants no preparations.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Yeah. We doesn't want to do any. Our analysis was that you're distaste for the chicken fest idea. A lot of admin. Yeah, stem from admin. And you have a severe adversion to that. No, don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:06:12 The day sounds fun, like eating chicken, saying like, I tasted it for this one. This one's salted, this one's got spice. I understand, Jack. That's fun. You live your whole life dreaming of being a customer and a friend being a owner and spice chicken. You just want dreaming of being a customer and a living being owner and spice chicken And that you just want life to be a customer experience and never be the runner of the business. I get it
Starting point is 00:06:31 So Jack what I said to home was I Know of something that could decide this chicken more mm-hmm that requires no preparation Listening from either of us. it's a game of chicken. Hamish devises a game of chicken between the two of us. He can make it up. You and I just have to play it. Through my head, it automatically goes to the game and chicken, they play in footloos
Starting point is 00:06:57 where they drive the tractors towards each other. That's traditional chicken. That could be where Ham goes. Who knows. Now, Jack, chicken as a game, now, one could say you've already lost the game of chicken because of how you acted a master's, which was like a big chicken when you were asked to build your store, you tried to chicken out. So I'll ignore that for the moment, but I must say you're coming into the contest with
Starting point is 00:07:21 form, having a severe chicken out on your recent record. The game of chicken is traditionally two opponents, barrel at each other at speed, and whoever pulls away flinchers or deviates from the path to avoid the head on collision, which is the smart thing to do, is it doesn't want it as bad as the other person. But it doesn't have to be that,
Starting point is 00:07:44 I mean, there could be some form of Russian roulette. Yep. Not for the Russian roulette. It might end the year. It would be a big show. It makes sense to do it as our last show. Hame devise devises the game, and you and I just have to play. But I didn't want Hame to put the work into devising the game.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Can I go away, get to work, get thinking about what this game, this final show, game of chicken, to once and for all decide who has the best chicken shop, a whole lot of chickens, a whole lot more chickens. It's a game of dedication, really it's a test of dedication and you talk to the kernel, you talk to Ronald, talk to any of the big players in the third game, then you're going to tell you you're not going to win with that dedication. It's the first thing you've got to have. Andy's a pretty determined guy by nature. So I smell, I just have the chicken out. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:08:31 And so that will be a good challenge for me. And I will step up. Oh great. There we go. We have ourselves a game of chicken. All right, details TBC. Now the admin's on me. I'll buy a two week thinking time break.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Yeah. Hahaha. Yeah, now the Admin's on me now by a two week thinking time break Hey, I'm flicking around channels the other day. Yep 101 Dalmatians with Glenn close the not the animation I know the live action She doesn't even laugh at the end of a lot of sentences and it occurred to me that most villains in most films Do have a giveaway evil laugh even in regular sentences. It does, it telegraphs I think. Probably a little bit too much.
Starting point is 00:09:11 It seems to fall under the same rules as if you're in a sitcom kitchen. People can't hear you. Yes. Just even though you're talking to a normal volume, the evil laugh is like for some reason, villains are like only I can hear this bit. Particularly prevalent I reckon in horror movies. Yeah, particularly if someone's hitchhiking. Yeah. And and someone's trying to pick them up. I just feel like there should be more people that are onto.
Starting point is 00:09:36 You would think more travelers should be alert to the laugh. Oh thanks so much for picking me up. I'm happy to just take me as far as I can. Yeah mate. I'll take you as far as you like. Oh, sorry it just kind of sounds like you're not going to take me anywhere safely. What makes you say that? No it's just that evil laugh that you're putting on the end of your reply. Oh what?
Starting point is 00:10:01 But don't remember laughing at all. It's peculiar thing to say. Anyway sorry for that. Or not everything will be just fine. No, that, it's peculiar thing to say. Anyway, sorry for that. But we're not everything we just fine. No, that's it. There it is again. There what is? No, the evil laugh. When you put on the end of everything you're saying,
Starting point is 00:10:13 it kind of makes it sound like the first thing you said is lies. And then you are going to hurt me. What this? Yes, that's it. That's the disturbing bit. So you sort of, you're not laughing for any reason, because you're not saying anything funny. So it's like having a little joke with yourself about how like secretly
Starting point is 00:10:26 you will hurt. Okay, well it's not designed to scare you at all. Just so you know, you're in a very safe place. That's it. See? You know what I mean? The laugh makes it sound like it's the opposite. Yeah, yeah. Okay, well perhaps if I do say the opposite, followed by the laugh, then it can seem like I am helping you. Now, shall we see if that works? Mmm. Alright, yep, go for that. I'm going to cut your kneecaps off and use them as coasters.
Starting point is 00:10:49 No, that's not good for me, that's just as bad. You said the laugh makes things the opposite. I know I said that, but I think it only works one way around, because that made us how like you were going to hurt me and you're excited by that so you laugh. I think, maybe I'd just get out, I don't think this is work, I might have a cup. Sure, sure, sorry, mate that so you laugh. I think, may I just get out? I don't think this is work. I might have a cup of the car. Sure, sure, sorry mate. Here you go. Yeah, sorry I didn't work out, but yeah,
Starting point is 00:11:10 far too scary for me, so I hope I don't see you again. Sure, sorry I'm, I promise you, this is a last to be seeing of me. No, please don't, if you put the last note, then I, you are gonna kill me, aren't you? Yes. And, oh, and the last episode of the podcast, you presented to the team, defense force tracksuits, official defense force tracksuits, procured from the defense force. Really, taxpayer dollars at work.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Yes. But I can't see about it. I think this is the best of tax payers wanna hear, that we are wearing the parachute material, basically like the PE uniform of the different branches of the defense force. Jack, you are the Royal Australian Navy and you are the Royal Australian Air Force and you are the Army.
Starting point is 00:11:58 I'm the Army. You gave it to us, you had us pick in such a way that was clever, because we traditionally pay, we pick our tracks, it's based on colour. And I think we all know, obviously I know. I look like a Stella McCarthy kind of, you know, sail and a mall and we all run. It's gross, it's gross. It's gross. It brings out the worst in us.
Starting point is 00:12:20 We all run at a box and pick it. Especially Jack, who's not doing it with any irony, because he loves free stuff. So you did, you know, what branch of the defense force will be preferred to be the head of? And we all picked and then we got the corresponding tracksuit. Mine is a green and gold. You guys have got kind of like nice light blue, navy blue whites. Yours looks a lot like John Howard's. It does.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Looks like his wall of these tracksuit that he goes walking in. I sent a picture of me, one of the mates we have that's ex-defense force ex-army. And he was in the special forces. Did it, did, you know, I sent him this photo and I said, hey, is this what you guys were? He said, no, not on operations. A bit too much rustling. Probably.
Starting point is 00:13:01 And I said, and I said, and I gave some choice. And I picked up, he said, good choice. Most fun stuff but least money is the general perception. So anyway, we're all happy with our choices. And it gets both the most. Like guess like the budget for like I would guess like boats and planes are just more expensive than I said. I thought that like the army are getting paid less than say,
Starting point is 00:13:27 a naval officer. No, I mean, everyone's on the sliding scale. But I mean, like, you know, the government's obviously just like kick and lose change. I hear it gets the most toys. So. So last, last week's show, though, it was interesting because you sort of positioned it to go, what branch would we be the head of?
Starting point is 00:13:41 Or we think we'd be the best of? Jack picked the Navy because from my memory, Jack, we might have to go and listen to the tape. It was something along the lines of, because you've got submarines. Yes. You can tell people that you're... There's a lot going on.
Starting point is 00:13:54 But you can't talk about it. Well, just so you can't see it. So it's like, oh, yes, we have a lot of stuff going on down below. Yeah. But obviously you can't see it. It's underwater. Take my word for it. Just be an easy position to like fluff around with.
Starting point is 00:14:09 And I just, I think you were default. Yeah, default. And I was the head of the army. Now, God forbid, we ever find ourselves in these roles. Oh, no. I almost say that for the love of Australia. Yes. And the men and women who would be forced to serve under us. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:26 But as they had the army, the Air Force, the Navy. But I have devised, you feel the concept of war games, like how the army like in the military prepares itself for like any contingency. Often it's known against like a real opponent, but it's sort of like a loosely modeled thing. Is that like where they have a map on a table and they push the risk?
Starting point is 00:14:46 No, that's for real risk. You're thinking of risk. What more like when you see like, like military exercises, so you're maybe like, American and South Korea are like storming a beach. Right. Practicing, in case, you know, a simulated thing.
Starting point is 00:14:58 So like the high ropes course and that sort of thing. That's training. That's what you do on the base. Oh, you mean when you're jogging around going, I don't know, but I've been told, no, that's training. That's what you do on the day. Oh, you mean when you're jogging you're round going, I don't know, but I've been told no, that's training. Let's let's put it this way. They all get together and pretend it's real. It's so when it happened. It's a friendly match of soccer. The rules are very same, but what you might do is like, yeah, like a Australia and America might go, we're going to pretend that this is happening. So if
Starting point is 00:15:24 it ever did happen We know it's up to do we're playing in the gun. That's what I know again You probably use real ammo. Yeah, really yeah, we're not shooting each other remember it's making an episode on the same side I thought one of us was pretending to be South Korea the all shirts and skins So like China and Russia just did a big one. Okay, so they're just scarecrows are like, I'll put you, put a pumpkin up there. I can't, what? I'm not saying the literally does these pumpkins,
Starting point is 00:15:54 but more, that's more to target practice. So you do all that, like you join the military, do all the jogging, high rope scores, do your pushups, get yourself ready, pass all the tests, learn all rope scores, do your pushups, get yourself ready, pass all the tests, learn all the skills, maybe learn another language. Here's how you do it all. Here's your kit, here's your backpack. Now let's do a simulet. It's all the stuff that goes in it. You've gone on, you've gone on a few hikes with everyone. You've done your use. You're ready.
Starting point is 00:16:17 Storm the beach, but use your imagination. I don't know. I honestly don't know. I don't know. And you might even do a bit of storm while you're training. But let's just say you've got to four years, let's just say there's a four year training period to get highly skilled. Then you're like congrats, you get you know, you get you get you medal or whatever like. There is an element of imagination There is no that's true. That's right. There go right. So what we're doing is it's a simulation. Yeah, right? So they might you know the people running the thing like I right now There's like a force coming from the north or whatever and that yeah, they'll have like fake vehicles and stuff
Starting point is 00:16:57 And maybe you would be fire and blanks or maybe that wasn't such a if you're shooting at like guys that you know Secretly or on your team., better pretending for the day, maybe you are firing blanks and stuff. But yeah, so that's what a wargames is. And so sometimes there's like heaps and heaps of people, but they'll change it on you. So see how you think under pressure. You don't know what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:17:16 They don't go, you do this, do this, do this. Like you'll get fed the information as it goes along to see how you would change your plan. Yep, right. So that's the whole point of it to just like see if you're training kicks in and at your level, Jack, and at your little Andy, as the commander. We should know what to do.
Starting point is 00:17:32 The Navy and the Air Force. I want to see how you make decisions, but so I've developed a thing. Not calling any support from the Navy. Yeah. So we're doing a high-speed course. Sorry, that's what it was. We were on pumpkin setups. Which you are cannons at giant pumpkins we made. So in my head do I have a fully like an efficient Navy? Or is it? Yeah. I have a question. Yeah, very good question.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Yeah, so in this hypothetical, are we all the heads of each department? I'm just going to give it to you guys. We just assume the army's doing their job. Maybe they'll come in to it, maybe they won't. Jack, you are the head of the Navy and you're the head of the Air Force. Am I reluctant to use Jack? Well, or is he? Yeah, I mean, I mean, you can't order him in to do anything.
Starting point is 00:18:23 No, I'm, let's pretend I'm above you guys. I'm like that chief of all defense. So I'll be the one giving the orders't order a mean to do anything. No. I'm a bother you guys. I'm like that chief of all defense. I'll be the one giving the orders. You just gotta follow them. Okay. You can request help. Yeah, I see. But Andy, if you need to do something underwater,
Starting point is 00:18:34 you have no choice. I just would avoid it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. There's something underwater. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Drown you. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Yeah, for an official.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Hello, chief of Air Force. We've got some big underwater stuff going on. Should you be going to the Navy? Yeah, well, we thought we were going to use. Okay, let's go. So day one, right? Country X. We just, let's just say that they're vaguely from somewhere near Russia, but it's not Russia.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Yep. They've invaded New Zealand, right? Like land, invasion, sea invasion, air invasion, Jack, just off that knowledge, right? They're all over New Zealand's east coast. Surprise attack. What do you do? Sentin' boats.
Starting point is 00:19:12 You have many. 15 big 15s. No mediums. They won't be expecting them. They won't be expecting them. They won't be expecting them. They won't be expecting them. They won't be expecting them. They won't be expecting them. They won't be expecting them. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, How many roughly do we have? Let's say you got 50. Yeah. All right, keep 51% at home and give them 49% of the boats.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Right. Any subs? Yep. Say we're sending 10. Tell them what can no one use the island was sent 5,000. But can't check. Tell them the subs are already there. Okay. Tell them the subs are already there. Okay. Oh, don't, you know the fun.
Starting point is 00:20:07 You don't have any air force to that. Well, they wouldn't have many fun plans. I don't know if they've got any. I think they may have air transport. They have like plans that can leave. They might have a few troubles or something. So yeah, and what are you doing is the air force? Yeah, I'm going to send support.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Yeah. I mean, obviously, we've got to stand by the ANZACS. Of course. That's what I was looking for, Jack. No, wait, I mean, we, we've got to stand by the Anzacs. That's what I was looking for, Jack. No, wait, I mean, we sent half our boats. Would you over send? Is that Smarter? Yeah, I'm just in analyzing what you're going to do here. So, yeah, I would be calling the US going,
Starting point is 00:20:39 hey, we're going to need your support here. Good idea. And I'd be, in fact, all our allies and saying, here's the problem. And then I'd be sending the full force, I think. Yeah, scramble. Yep, scramble. But Jack, now that you've seen, sent the boats off.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Because I'll take a few days to get there. Now, the army ahead of the army's come to you and go and, well, should you, we're here, we're at the docks ready for our troops to go. Got any boats left for the troops to go on? Tim, we put them on there. So I soon they would like got on the boat. Oh, I'm the fan of the baby.
Starting point is 00:21:18 No, you didn't know. Okay. So now we're gonna have to call them back. We're gonna send empty boats. What is the purpose of sending empty planes? So now we're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back.
Starting point is 00:21:28 We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back.
Starting point is 00:21:36 We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back.
Starting point is 00:21:44 We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back. We're going to be calling them back or do you send them to the boats? Well, we'll send some experts. So we'll squish the ones we're sending today, like they used to do in the old war photos where they had obviously way too many people on there. And we know that that's not protocol anymore, but obviously we made a mistake on the first run. Horror horror first day. Logistics wise. So now it's only didn't you see,
Starting point is 00:22:03 like guys, you're not going across the world guys and girls. Oh is this the address on the docks? Yes, yes please. Wait, is gentlemen the head of the Navy? Yeah. What used to be like a one person space is now two person space. Get comfy and when you get to New Zealand spread out onto the other boats. Okay. Oh no, it will be straight into combat, but that's for the pep talk. Yeah that's true. Okay, you know, this is wartime, so there's going to be some uncomfortableness. You're going to do what you're going to do. Yeah. Okay, that's good.
Starting point is 00:22:31 All right, day two. Now Australia's under full attack. Yeah, I've maybe been in this place. Have they come across New York? No, it's another force that's sailed. And where's the Atlantic? Is that the landing at West End? And then it's circled around the bottom of Australia because all our boats were sailing over New Zealand
Starting point is 00:22:46 and landing in Melbourne as well, Adelaide Perth. Damn. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, yeah, you're idea. We got those papers. It's taken us a while, but yeah, we're going to fill out the form from the 70s. I'm going to think it. It seems such an interesting reveal of character, like Ando making the hard decisions. And then Jack is going to play the blame game. Actually, you wanted it. So now you've got it. All right, that's good. What do you bring all the forces back from New Zealand? No, we're still fighting there. It depends how we're going in that front. How are we going in that battle? Not great. Well, if you bore it, all the forces back from New Zealand, Australia would stand at 90% chance of being able to hold that
Starting point is 00:24:01 ground at the Adelaide line. If you left half of your forces but we only got a 20% chance. I'm going to have to stay loyal to Australia here and say we have to defend our own waters. And if you know if you and if the support is not available, you'd hope that we're we're activating the US and you are. I'll leave some in New Zealand. Why? Because we got you like the ice cream. You see what podcast is. You've got New Zealand podcast. That is a nice gesture, Jack. I'll leave some army to.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Can I say, as well, no one has mentioned at this point that the Prime Minister would probably go to the Navy and go, hey, on the before we were attacked, you kept half your boats here and the Air Force sent everybody across, so well done. Air Force moves faster. Yeah, but we just can come, go back there in a day. Back in the morning.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Back in the morning, yeah. Hey, it's only day two of the war. It stopped hunting for a medal. Why did you throw me under the bus? No, I just wanted to know they do things. Why were you in the meeting? Why would you go, hey, by the way? I've got one thing to add. All right, we'll be quick. We're under attack. Yes, I just wanted to say, is anyone else noticed? I've done very well at this point. Last day, you've got to prepare for future eventualities. Country X, whatever this is, has launched a nuclear weapon
Starting point is 00:25:18 out of Australia, okay Jack? You, as the head of the Navy, leaving from the front, are on one of the boats, one of the ships that's come from New Zealand and's heading up to, let's say Darwin. Yeah. Right. You're out in the ocean. The path of the missile will be coming over that boat. Wow. You've been in a battle with one of the other ships. The ships shot up. There's hardly any guys left. You're there. You're in full health because no doubt you hit during the battle. health because no doubt you hit during the battle. So you're like, it's only one other guy on the boat, right?
Starting point is 00:25:48 He's usually the guy that fires the missile that can intercept the nuclear missile. But he's very badly injured. Sure. Like can hardly see, he's being a hero. Yeah, it's still hanging in there, hanging in the fight. The missile's coming over the boat.
Starting point is 00:26:01 Do you take the shot or do you, knowing that you know this guy's got a 5% chance of taking it? I'm me with my personal jack post skills. You know how to use the machine. We've never done it before because you had other things to do. Everyone, you know what?
Starting point is 00:26:16 Should I even be on the boat? Shouldn't I be in a back home directing traffic? Too late, mate. You're on the boat. You're leading from the front. I'll get, I would get that guy who's injured, really sick bed toward the machine, not make him do it, but go, can you just walk me through it? I'm about to press fire.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Yep. And hold my drink while I drink. Yeah. I shouldn't even be here. Really sick bed. Well, what a reason you don't like it. Get his stretcher. Get a few guys to bring his stretcher in.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Yeah. Alright. Tell a stretcher in. So, all right, maybe count me in. Yeah. All right. He does that, you miss. Now, what do you say to the public? Do you go, do you tell everyone that you took the shot? It's too late, anyway, so.
Starting point is 00:26:59 What does it mean? No, if we go back to that round table with the Prime Minister and picking favourites and doing favourites, why are we gonna go like, oh, who didn't fire properly? It's like, guys, we're in a war. Who can ignore? Sometimes you do want to point fingers, sometimes you don't.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Okay. And the same scenario that you're up in a plane and you can take the shot. If Vin Diesel's not available to take the shot, you like that. Do you do it? Yeah, I could take it. Good news, you got the mission. Ah!
Starting point is 00:27:27 Ah! Well done. Well done. Ando, got a potential special skill from a VIP. A very important podcast that are involved, podcasting, value-down important podcasting. Oh, it takes us a little while to remember what we said on the phone. Where did we get to on the phone?
Starting point is 00:27:48 Valued and important. But I think we default to, you know, the normal VIP, but it is, it's accurate. Value Danny important podcasts. Oh, yeah. People have taken the time to register right down who they are. Yes. What they can do in their life. Pets written in, right? Now, it's one of those ones, one of those skills that he's filled out on his form where you go, that's like all skills, I guess. It's impressive if you can do it,
Starting point is 00:28:11 but it will rapidly lose impressiveness if you miss a few. We've had a good streak of light. We have like a couple of weeks ago. Three weeks ago, things were grim. Yeah, real grim. Yeah, we're a Simpsons debacle. Yes, we're slowly getting back. Need, things were grim. Yeah, real grim. Yeah, we were Simpsons debacle. Yes, we were slowly getting back.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Need, we remember us. But we're getting a couple of wins under a belt, and I'd love to float another W down the line. Yes. What's Peter's? Peter says, I can correctly identify any AFL players height in centimeters. Wow.
Starting point is 00:28:39 And then then this is what I like about the new breed, knowing that we've had a few heinous losses. I think it says, I repeat, any player capitalized. I love it. I specialize in players of the past 15 years, although as a party trick, I'm able to recall some of the legends of the game. Let's keep it serious. Let's go party. It's like a whole party.
Starting point is 00:28:58 It would do a classic round, although I actually have. You've got some parts. I've got a few legends of the game, because I like to think this podcast is a bit of the party for people listening. Now, would you like to play against Amanda? Oh, yeah, okay. Yeah. Now for our international listeners, we're talking about Australian rules football.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Australian rules football. I suppose it can apply to any sport though. If you replace that, you said, look, I can name anyone that's played this sport. I can tell you how high they are in centimeters. Yep. I think that's impressive. I think so. That is very impressive.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Alrighty. Join us on the phone Pete. How are you going? Oh, hi boys. Oh, hi, hi. A nervous, or do you stand by the statement? Um, one of my years I've had a few sparring partners, but I've never had an official match day game, so I think.
Starting point is 00:29:37 And you've won every one of them? The nerves. Sorry? You've won every one of them? Um, or you want to be modest, but, yes. Oh, good. Good. Good, you want to be modest, but yeah. Oh, good. Good to be modest and truthful. Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I was going to say our two favourite qualities on the show, though. None at all. We lie all the time and we talk ourselves up all the time. Usually inflate our sense of importance and they're happy to lie. All right, now Peter P, want you to hit us quickly with the answer just to reduce any listeners' suspicions of Google ability. Okay. Is that fair?
Starting point is 00:30:07 Oh, yep. All right. I've got six. I'm going to say five out of six will give you an H&A coin. Here we go. All right. And I guess you can either just yell in your own answer. I'll just come in over the top with straight after.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Straight after, yeah. With either. And you can say you can be the same. Yep. As a Pete. You can be obviously can be different. You know how numbers work. Arasio Fantasia. Ah 177. 183. 178. Oh gosh, give it to him. I'll give it to you. Yeah, sorry. That's the new rule within the Cedomena. You've got it Pete. I mean, that's very good because actually sometimes they do appear different. Yeah, fantastic. That's impressive. We could pedeer in the official IEL listing, sometimes the Lurban variation. Is that true? I've seen that happen before. I'll get it plus or while as well. Plus or minus one, we have here. Pete number two.
Starting point is 00:31:01 We give you. Pete, number two. The one and only, Nathan Jones. One-eight. One-seven-one. I'm sorry, I was very sure. You've got a Pete, exactly one-eight. Oh gosh, Pete, this is amazing. I'm going to start just saying, agreed.
Starting point is 00:31:20 You're right. Take me out of it. Okay, yeah. You're right, Andy. I've got no hair. Mercy, R it. Okay, you're right, Andy. I've got no hand. Mercy rule. Pete, Nick Natt-Noey. 201.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Perfect. Oh my gosh. On the nose. This is unreal. Hey, Tim Kelly. 183. Perfect. Peace.
Starting point is 00:31:38 We're going for a coin. We're now into, right, round. He's got 50% chance getting a coin here. Yeah. Pace. We're now in for a coin. We're now into right round. He's got 50% chance getting a coin here. The legend's round. A recent legend.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Actually, race and play. Brendan Favol. 1-91. Oh my god. Spinal. You've got a coin. You've got a coin. And now for, we go to an eye coin. I would just say six out of six. For pure You've got a coin. You've got a coin. And now for... Can we go to an A coin? I would just say...
Starting point is 00:32:05 Six hours to keep a queue of glory for a coin. And a decorative envelope that we will send it in. So, you stand it on the... That's the nice thing. Collectible envelope. One of the legends of the game. Tony Locker. One, nine... Four. No one for that. No, 1, 9, 3.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Sorry Pete, sorry Pete. It was a bit of a trick because there's 1, 9, 1 listed as the same as Favolla. Right. But Pete, you got a bloody coin. No decorative envelope. But no envelope, sir. No decorative envelope. What?
Starting point is 00:32:44 And when that envelope arrives? You'll be disappointed. But then when you open it... You'll be happy. You'll know you are truly a rich man. You enter a very select group. Have that in homelessness. That have taken out a coin. I love that. Well done mate.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Got on your paper. Cheers, straight to the right of my... LAUGHTER Hey, you and I were talking about this the other day. And it made us think maybe there's more out there. We may have mentioned this on the podcast before. You had a great one when you were working at Maccas as a kid. There was different things you tried to amuse yourself with when you worked at Maccas. Workplace games.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Yeah. Essentially inventing a sport that only works at your workplace, or like your office or a work site, or wherever you are, that has its own rules, and usually its own heroes and villains, and like greatest players, all stars, villains of the games, do you know, people that are disgraced and get discharged. I had three at Maccas that we played. Yep.
Starting point is 00:33:41 I'll quickly run through them. GameCards Sabotage, where I, if I was working the grill with you, you had, we go to do a game of sabotage. Yes, the game starts in 15 minutes. And you go, you nod and you both agree on that. And then you would go around trying to put tartar sauce or any hand or you could find, but secretly, if someone put their hand in your sauce, you got a point.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Different teams have different sources, so you could identify who. Yeah, we went with chicken sauce and the tartare sauce. If you got sourced, you were at a point against, if you saw the sauce, then it was a point four, and it got cleaned off. They'd play that all afternoon. Yeah, that's a great thing. Another game was, I like the fat slides. Oh yeah, fat sliding was good.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Back in the day, Jack, I wish I would have told you this, but the, the, the, the, the lad that you'd put in the friars would come, solid, like a big stick about it. Like a big stick about it. The size of like a big box. Size of a pummel horse is what I'm thinking of. Yeah, it's kind of, it's pretty big. Half a pummel. Half a pummel. And what we do before putting it in the vats is if you came in a cardboard box, you could open the box and just leave the, the, the, the large, the
Starting point is 00:35:00 big stick about a face out. You turn the box on its, on its, on its top. Yep. So you're leaving the, the slidey bit underneath. out. You turn the box on its top, so you're leaving the slidey bit underneath. And you've got basically a cardboard saddle over it. Yeah, with an appropriate run up, you could slide the length of the restaurant. Sitting on the box. Sitting on it, though, you'd go on your chest and you'd have to run and jump, and then slide.
Starting point is 00:35:19 And we have a loose penguin slide again. Like a skeleton. Yeah, to see who could go the furthest. The third one we played was the... I didn't realize this, but the drive-through was activated on metal. No. Not scanned metal. Not on weight.
Starting point is 00:35:32 So I thought it was the weight of a car. No. It was metal detector essentially. So you could go out with two of the fry... The fry lids of the vats. You'd go outside and you could set it off. And if you put an order in and they didn't realize it was you, you got a point. It sounds like it was the least visited McDonald's of all time. Like, when are you finding all the time to do these?
Starting point is 00:35:59 It's like, the owner comes and goes, what are you guys doing here? It's McDonald's close down to 13 years ago. I thought it was weird. We never have any customers. We just spent all day playing in his vacant McDonald's. My question is out there, if we had three games. But other workplaces have more. What workplace game do you have?
Starting point is 00:36:15 I like the ones that come in here. I like the ones that feel more like a sport. Like to me, losing feels the most like a sport. Yeah, it was. Because some of it will have it on a bit of a scale from high jinks to games. I've got a bit of a sport. Because some of it will have it on a bit of a scale from high jinks to games. I've got a bit of a sport I play with myself at home when I'm taking the rubbish out.
Starting point is 00:36:30 It requires quite a lot of speed to open the gate. And we've got a gate that's on a electric lock. You've got to press the button and we'll stay unlocked, but only for like 10 seconds. Unlock it, I sprint up the alley, the where the bins are, and you have, you can have no error. If I do that thing where you flip up a wheelie bin lid,
Starting point is 00:36:54 and it flips back down again, I have to flip it up again, because you're so, you won't get back in time. But if you can do an extremely clean, bin drop off, the feeling you get, once you've done it clean and you've just spin the executed perfect turn and start sprinting back down the alley and you know you've just got one corner to go. Knowing you're on. It's pretty exciting. Well, say to me, hey
Starting point is 00:37:17 Mischee, Doc, please, I've just put the security code in and that's wasted minutes. Exactly. Actually, I can put the code in sub one minute. Hey, Mischnaid.com. You've got any other workplace games? What games you're playing in your own home? Well, we'll collate them. We'll collate them and we'll just see what we get. We'll love to see what's out there.
Starting point is 00:37:33 Yeah. Yeah. Boys, before we go, I forgot to tell you about this. Pretty exciting. Before we go I forgot to tell you about this pretty exciting As we you know from last year when we were on the radio show and we had our band cool boys in the front man Yes, I was well known as the boy that could film music No, why was I you're someone even made me a t-shirt about it. Yeah, you made your own t-shirt it by myself No, you got it printed so someone did it You made your own T-shirt up there. Not by myself.
Starting point is 00:38:03 No, you got it printed, so. Someone did it. No! Someone's made a T-shirt. I don't know his name. You know specifically who did it for you. I don't know the name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:13 You know the company. Well, what I'm saying is someone made me a T-shirt. The word was around. I was the boy that could feel music. I can't read music. I can't learn music. I just feel it. Right?
Starting point is 00:38:23 If we were to tell you this, a couple of weeks ago, I just feel it. If I were to tell you this a couple of weeks ago, I felt music again. You're right. Do you know someone tweeted the other day to me, Paul McCartney, can't read music? Yeah, right. And it just said, it was a picture of Paul McCartney with the article and just said a regular image like it was what the guy was like.
Starting point is 00:38:47 He feels it. So you may have a point that it has kind of filtered out there. And remember when I had to learn how to write music? Yeah, I might be able to write it, I've never tried it. But I remember when I had to learn to stay where to have an on drums. And we got the drum teacher in camp. Love a guy, but there's a little counting involved and he had the sheets and in the end, really,
Starting point is 00:39:10 I kind of said, mate, just let me feel it out. And then I tried to... You sat your coach. I sat next to your coach, but I showed him. Kept him around, kept him on staff, and he went, look, yeah, it's not pretty, but you've got it. You know, you felt it better than you could learn it. So anyway, I was away on holidays.
Starting point is 00:39:26 I cover with my wife and the kids. And out of nowhere, right, I just start feeling this beat. Okay. Now, and you wasn't an original beat. It was a song, a famous song that I was suddenly just channeling. I wasn't expecting it at all. Yeah. I was going to get a juice.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Yeah. And then I's all over. My juice plans went out the window because suddenly out of nowhere. Lean into this beat. I'm feeling this beat. Now, I didn't have my sticks, didn't have my electronic drum kit. Couldn't do the beat on a kit.
Starting point is 00:39:55 So I had to use my hands, thighs and feet to bring the beat to life. And my phone was upstairs charging. And so I sat at a yelling to Zoe, my wife, get the phone, quick, film me. What's this song? So I go to it, what's this beat? Because I didn't want to lose it.
Starting point is 00:40:08 I didn't want to lose the moment because I was like a shaman really, feeling this beat. And I'm yelling at it, what's this song? She's pretending she didn't know. But I felt like it might have been like an 80s type tune. So you didn't know the tune, you were just, but I know it's a well-known song.
Starting point is 00:40:26 You know it's a song, and you're playing. And I was hoping for her, because I don't listen to as much music as though, but yet I can create it better than her, different combo. I'm supposed to more of a creator than a consumer. And so I'm channeling this beat, and I'm yelling at her, get the phone, get the phone,
Starting point is 00:40:43 because like we're saying it goes, like film this before it goes. And she managed to, she went through a bit of like, oh my god, I hate this, whatever, just a few protests. And then, but I got it a film, right? I've got the audio for you, because I want to do is play it. And if we could pick it? Well, I don't know what song it is, but when someone goes to me, if you guys can get it, and you go to me, yeah, it's this song, then I'll know it when I hear it. You know what I mean? I'll be like, that's the song I was feeling.
Starting point is 00:41:09 Basically, what song was I feeling? I don't know what I was feeling, but I was channeling something that came from another dimension, possibly from Phil Collins himself. Okay. Yeah, I'm guessing the message. I'm not, I can't really pick it. It does sound familiar, like I would believe. You know what I mean? And I didn't know where this is coming out. I've never drummed that rhythm in my life. My butt was smooth criminal? No. You way off. I don't know what it is. Can we hear one more time?
Starting point is 00:41:45 No, no, no, no. Yeah, you can hear it one more time. I want people to listen to this on the podcast. How, how tight is it though? Look at everyone outside. Look at our whole team. Yeah, listening and they don't know what it is because it's not a song. They haven't listened to any other part of today's show in Tampa. They haven't listened to any other part of today's show in Tampa. Look at everyone outside. Look at our whole team.
Starting point is 00:42:05 They're listening and they can't know it is because it's not a song. They haven't listened to any other part of today's show intently. They just were crowded around the speaker there like I'm sure families are now listening to this because it's captured the nation. What song was I channeling? Where did it come from? It's not a song. It is a song and I checked.
Starting point is 00:42:21 I think it's a song. I couldn't stop thinking of smooth criminal the second time there. Did it match? I didn't even think I'd like. Like, like, the dead, the dead, the dead. The dead, the dead.
Starting point is 00:42:32 No, not, not, not great, but not great. Yeah, that's not it. No, no, when you hear it, it will be great. Yeah. What? What? So on this week, I want people to really, really take it in, right in, let us know.
Starting point is 00:42:47 And then there will be a correct answer. And then it will just seem super obvious to all of you guys and you'll go, you've done it again, you felt music. It is, because it's crazy how tight beat was. Can I? Don't you think it was crazy how tight that beat was? It was not fine, it was just fine. Crazy and where did it come from?
Starting point is 00:43:08 Well the thing is, what we've sent ourselves up for here is someone out there to find a song and hang with them to retrospectively go, yeah that was what I was going for. That's not what I was doing. I promise you. The test should be if Andy and I go like, ah yes, if we make that sound. If we make that sound. You might.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Yeah, I will. You know, if it's out there, I thought it was something from Genesis or Field Collins and then I just scrolled through a few of their greatest hits and nothing really matched up to me. So I don't want to throw people off on that line. No. But it's out there and I felt it and I want to
Starting point is 00:43:46 know where I came from. Listener.
