Starting point is 00:00:00 A list-knock production. Activate your internet. Cause the Hamish and the Podcast starts in 3, 2, sorry, still buffering. One. A hoi to you, hey Mish! Ahoi Andy, ahoi Jack! Ahoi guys! Oh, we got him!
Starting point is 00:00:29 Hey, finally, it's unb all of doing that try-fence! Ahoi to everybody! Thank you for using the preferred greeting of the podcast. Ahoi also to Josh in Canada, and we find out what he's been up to today. Hi, this is Josh from Calgary, Canada. Today I'm marking 140 papers that I procrastinated. And there's a hockey game on later tonight, so I'll have to get them finished up real quick here.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Cheers. She's like, she's a teacher. Yeah. Should I know all teachers must do? You gotta put that stuff off. And you have... I have the greatest teacher. Everyone would just get, and you have the greatest teacher
Starting point is 00:01:09 Everyone would just get I'd be the greatest teacher to have I recognize it's yes, yes because you're like I Just printed out lace holder words like Laura and Ipsom yeah, whatever they do on graphic design And I got a bee yep because I wouldn't read it. I just have a bee stamp Yeah, and everyone would get solid bees and also you kind of would know the kids I just be going I'm gonna you know what you'm just be going, I'm going to give you a show you're a genie to get A pluses. Yeah, glory. He's another D for you, man. Not going to even read it.
Starting point is 00:01:32 I didn't like the kind of Egypt when you came in and that's deteriorated over time. So you like it, it's not an S. Hey, we thought in an undraditional maneuver, we'd kick off the show with powermosts. Ooh, little slow. I call it, you fake me out. You acted like you were going to say something.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Your idea to do this, and in itself, it's a powermost. I think I invented one on the weekend, which I wanted to check, run it by you two. I'm encouraging more work shopping of the power moves. Yeah. So, I said, someone said one in for instance, going, is this a power move? I was at a family barbecue. Someone asked for the tongs. I walked over and before I gave it to them, I dropped them at their feet. Then did a huge fart. So, they would have had to go down through my fart to get the tongs. It's not really a power move. I mean, that's just kind of chemical warfare.
Starting point is 00:02:26 So it is a good forum to like discuss power moving in. If this is deemed right, I'd love it to be in the book. I'm going to be great to be able to. Oh, I know your name. Yeah, yeah, we're doing it for everybody else. So I went to the bar and I was next to a guy called Stu at a wedding. I said to Stu on the way to the bar, how would you like a beer? He said, yeah, that'd be great.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I talked to a few people on the way to the bar, forgot that I'd offered the Stuart beer. I came back from the bar with just one beer and sat down and Stu said, where's my beer? And I paused for a second and just said, sorry mate, you've been cut off. Oh yeah, okay. As if he... Everyone's talking about Stu. Everyone's talking about Stu,
Starting point is 00:03:18 you know, let him drink anymore. And he went seriously, it's like, yeah, sorry. So couldn't get you. No. Whether that's a power move, or whether it's just a Narsal thing to do. It's just, oh, sorry, so couldn't get you. No. Whether that's a power move, or whether it's just a Narsal thing to do. It's just, oh, it's a slippery move. It's a good slipping out of a situation.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Yeah, so it's not really a power move though, is it? It's more just a, it's a... It's energetic banter. Yeah. I think what it does is, it's an altering up an alternative for someone if you've gotten someone's drink. Yeah, that's good. That's what I've done. We're not gonna make a copy. It's drink. Yeah, that's good. That's what I've done.
Starting point is 00:03:45 It's a backdoor. We're not going to make a copy. They will book of all those. It's a backdoor. And Jack, really well done, not far. Yeah, hell, hell, hell, hell. I was like, oh, is he going to do it? No.
Starting point is 00:03:53 He does the right. He chose not to. He chose not to. Okay. Ando, this comes in... I like, by the way, love that we're holding a high standard for this. Yeah, so do I. I mean, it's a book. It's not a payout for it.
Starting point is 00:04:03 No, it's a book. Yeah. Comes in from Maddie Steven. He I've seen this in a couple of I've seen this before this one. So I know that this is appeared before but I thought, you know what? We do have to give this one credit because I think it's done by people from time to time. It's not bad. Powmove is when someone around you is singing along to a song in a car and you'd like them to stop. Okay, so someone's energetically singing to a song. He's like, ah, right, who sings this song again? They will tell you, like, oh, this is Ed Sheeran, and then you respond with, or maybe we
Starting point is 00:04:35 let them do it. Oh, yeah. Oh, you deliberately throw in a faith. He's got an old's got an old here an old turner. You either go is this one direction and I go no It's head sheering and then you turn again. Well, maybe we let him do it From Pat yep power move if you're an agriven mates and one of them starts to tell a story about a girl Mm-hmm as soon as the girl's name comes up in the story, say, jeez, you bring her up a lot.
Starting point is 00:05:12 So it's so simple and really good. It really, really, really good. Okay, and this comes in from Edward Cox, because this is a UK power move. It doesn't have to work in the UK, but it lives in the UK. When you can take this global. You can take this global. Literally any culture on Earth can do this. When in a reasonably sized and chatty group,
Starting point is 00:05:40 show off your power move by going to a gunner with, for example, a new haircut and it might be something else they might be have it they might have like an obvious thing that differentiates them and it might be the only guy to let the jacket okay in the crowd but let's say you guys got a new fresh buzz cut like a fade or something now this would require timing I appreciate this if you can pull it off you go behind them and hide and yell look at my new haircut as loud as you can. Everyone will look around to see who shouted it. They'll lock eyes with the guy with the new haircut.
Starting point is 00:06:12 He'll then look around as well to see who shouted it, but he'll look like he's just shouted it. Now he's looking away so everyone's not looking at him. now if you can pull it off. Yeah, in success. In success, that's a cow move. I think it's a level of difficulty. It's a really high level of difficulty for a cow move. It's a ten. Similar one, group of friends here.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Definitely arsehole move, this one from Maddie Shepard. Most of them are. Pow move. Head up to a group and just tell someone that their new hair growth products working really well for them. They'll forocially deny it. Then people will question the authenticity of that person's hair for the rest of time. I mean, I mean, I mean, I will establish a move. Anything where you've got people denying. Yes. I mean, like one of the all time classics is, have you been crying?
Starting point is 00:07:07 Yep. No, I haven't been. Yeah. Is that the kind of thing someone that's been crying would say? It's great. Anytime you've got someone arguing in the case, it's good. Calum. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Power move. In a situation where you have to all wash your hands. Okay, let me get in. This is what we love about power moves. They are usually situation dependent. Be the first person to go and use the sink. Turn on the hot water and just the hot water at maximum. Use the first few seconds of the cold water in the tap.
Starting point is 00:07:36 When the hot water starts to become hot and unbearable, just walk away leaving the hot tap on. Your co-workers will think that the tap is at the right temperature. They'll go and burn themselves. This will make them think you have a very high-paying threshold. Yeah. I mean, that's where we're at now. We're power moves. Just hurting people. Well, no, but just tricking people into being. Yeah, it's a period ahead. That's what you mean, just like, you just, this guy's got Teflon hands. I thought we'd one more at you, him. Here you can.
Starting point is 00:08:07 This is from Ben. We're ordering a coffee. Great. At a cafe. What has to be a cafe where they say in your name? Yeah, good. Because they're going to. He said, carry a business card.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Oh. And this is saying, can I have your name and just hand them the card and walk back? That's awesome. I'll do that to you. That's really good. Yeah, you win for that. And a bit of an exciting moment on the show. You know what's about to happen. Jack, all we've got written down here, sometimes we just make a few notes before the show to go,
Starting point is 00:08:51 okay, this is what we need to cover off today. And this little bit is called generous gift. Yes. And it really lives up to its name. And you know I've had a little chat. As you know, Jack, and you know, we like to make TV shows together. Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:02 We're off again this year traveling to do a Hamish Chinese Perfect Holiday off overseas. Another really fun travel show that'll be out later this year. And we make it with our TV production company, like we are us and two other guys, we are in the company. And in TV, you know, you're always trying to think of formats.
Starting point is 00:09:18 You're always trying to think of like, what could be a show? Sometimes it's a fun show like Perfect Holiday that would be good for us, but other times, heck, this could be for someone else. And sometimes we go into our TV production company, Sometimes it's a fun show like perfect holiday that would be good for us, but other times Heck This could be for someone else. And sometimes we go into our tea reproduction company There's two other guys work with and you know Ryan Tim. Yep, and we'll pitch an idea and they're not that into it West you and I very surprised. They're not into it and we're sort of thinking that's all right
Starting point is 00:09:38 Well, you know the problem with shows is yes, there's a huge reward at the end of it I mean you come up with something like the voice Oh, yeah, yeah, baby. I mean, you can't remember something like the voice. Oh, yeah. Behind a yacht, baby. I mean, other kind of small one. Not a small one, mate. Not a small one. And one with a captain's chair rotates around.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Yeah. We face this back to the window. Yeah. And he feel likes the sound of the ocean. He's a chair and he spins around and looks at it. So you're getting a fancy yacht if you make the voice. Yeah. For example, a master chef, you know.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Yeah, killing it. Two yachts. Two yachts. Good kitchens. I had an idea that I took to the voice. Yeah, for example, a master chef, you know, killing it to yacht, two yachts, good kitchens. I had an idea that I took to the fellas and I thought, look, this isn't for us, but this is a killer format. Yeah, I thought I thought it could have been any lighter and he was like, okay, there's something in this. But it was Ryan and Tim who said we can't do it. They're like, well, I'm not jazzed to make it. And you're that's the problem is they're not very commercially minded those guys.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Because this is, you'd have to look at this format to go, that's a product. Like that's a show that's going to work. And you can sell this to 50 countries. Alan Sugar would have gone, is that his name? You don't know. So you can print this? So, yep.
Starting point is 00:10:41 I thought you were talking about someone from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He would see this idea gay. I mean, from 50%. I mean, 10 billion dollars. Yeah. Jack, simple reality show. Right?
Starting point is 00:10:53 Yes. It's called celebrity medicine cabinet. Yep. Go to the host, whoever it is, goes over to celebrity's houses, who has told me to be a medicine cabinet. Oh, worm tablet. What's happening here? Yeah, how to tape worm.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Not good. All right. Had a bit of a rash, yes, a thrush. Oh, well, bad luck. LAUGHTER You know, and I'm not the host. See, the host would do better stuff than this. Oh, a lot of vitamin C. Yeah, it's just been a bit run down lately. Oh, because you've been working on Transformers.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yeah. You have, you can have a little chat a little bit about. Oh, it's a big chat stuff. We're Jason Stapher and look on the... Yeah. You know, chat about why you needed that. And there's a lot of bandages here. Yes, I hurt my arm while doing Transformers.
Starting point is 00:11:28 There's a fun story from it. Yeah. Imagine the voyeurism of looking inside. And we would suggest starting with like supplements and bandages and then prescription. The host, we'd have it, I mean, we want you to go prescription. You have a word to the host and you go look, if you see some great prescription medicine, yes, save it for the back of the shop. Because going out to the ad would be like,
Starting point is 00:11:51 and we've all seen the bottle on the bottom left, we'll get to that after the break. Yeah, boom, boom, boom, you zoom in. And you're like, what's all, what's all, what's all, what's all. So I'm intrigued. Here's the thing, to get a TV show happening, and this is a good format, this is not a joke. I think Celebrity Medicine Cabinet is an amazing show.
Starting point is 00:12:11 It's got a private though, do you think that would want to do it? I think in this day, maybe for many people, what a people putting on Instagram. Cammy O'Reasey, Cammy O'Re videos that I was getting handy, they'll do anything. And do they, would you trust like K. U.S. and Statham? UK U.S. Would you trust him to show his real cabinet Or he goes I know the guys are coming over to do the TV show and then doctor it. Yeah, I think people this is the kind of mind that we you know
Starting point is 00:12:34 I think people celebrities would go I know there's gonna be points to me being real and raw and I'm gonna show you Some of my weird stuff. I'm gonna show you the fungal cream. Yeah, I'm gonna be open about this this this I'm gonna show you some of my weird stuff that I've got. I'm gonna show you the fungal cream. I'm gonna be open about this, I'm gonna show you, I might even show you the ingrown that I'm trying to get rid of. That's, you know, the upper thigh. So I think they'll be raw and open and I think that's the benefit from going on the show. And this is, we're getting ahead of ourselves,
Starting point is 00:12:58 but this is all stuff Jack that I would like you, we would like you to be saying in the pitch meetings because any night, a time poor, we wanna give you this idea to start your very own television empire, we are giving you celebrity medicine cabinet with the hope that at the end of the year, there's a thing in Khan in France called MipCon. Okay, am I in the show or am I just gonna get it?
Starting point is 00:13:22 No, you're now, you get, we're giving you 50% of this intellectual property, but we do nothing. You now, you get this show up, like build a sizzle, build, build, write it out, explain how it works, got a production Bible, explain how all the segments work, who you get, drop a list for who you might want to host. It's all up to you. All the creative decisions to yours. Take it to France, take it to Khan, the television. Maybe we all go as a podcast. Maybe we all go to France. And then we can go to France for a week. We all go to France for a week. Well, and take it off to his meeting. Be an Andy, be at the hotel.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Yeah. And they had you meeting, go hoot you pitch to. What about the dutch, are they interested? Yeah. Right. You're doing all the work, but you get, for that you get 50% of the ownership. Yeah, it sounds like a good deal. We only have to make one sale to be it worthwhile.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Yeah. So it's a yes? Yeah, how long do I have to work on it? Oh well. There's your life. Yeah, I mean, you tell us when you're ready. Okay, so say, say. You're in charge of it now.
Starting point is 00:14:20 If this is a yes, you're in charge of it. This is our generous gift to you. We're giving you a format because we don't have the time to develop it, but I think the world needs to see celebrity medicine cabinet. You now become the boss of the show. All right, okay, so you know, I thought you might be putting me on the spot.
Starting point is 00:14:32 I had to do it right now. No, no, no. Okay, I get to take it away. Yeah, I'm not homework. When's, when's time? Canso has been. Canso, yeah, sorry. So you could do it next year.
Starting point is 00:14:40 For next year, you always go up. There's another one that's gathering momentum called South by Southwest, which is, Oh, she, yeah, I love to go to South by Southwest. I know they've got the music thing, but there's not mostly tech and stuff. They've got it now with TV as well. So we can get that out.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Because I mean, South by Southwest, that's awesome. I mean, everyone knows what South by Southwest is. It feels like the American market is, what's going to be in South. I mean, she's out of love to go. That's in Austin, Texas. I love to go. Do we have to fill anything or do you just,
Starting point is 00:15:05 is a pitch meeting just, well, you know, you would have to. You would have to sort of. But they would expect to see like, we do one with Vance Joy as a test or something. Nice, nice call. I mean, I'd like to see what's in Vance Joy's medicine cabinet. Jack, it's great that you've said yes.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Okay. Have you said yes? Yeah, I mean, I'll take it on. Do I get a production budget? Well, no, this is what you, sorry. I guess it's what, you've said yes. Have you said yes? Yeah, I mean, I'll take it on. Do I get a production budget? Well, no, this is what you, sorry. I guess it's what I don't know. I don't know. You were pulling in now, man. You know, from now on,
Starting point is 00:15:31 you just take the reins of this guy and go for it. Right, okay. You make it happen now. We've given you the idea. Thank you for it. And now it's like, now you just knuckle down and make it happen. You can take it to France.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Take it to South by Southwest. Is it a yes? Yes. We prepared this. So, Jack, you've accepted our offer. Congratulations, boy. You now own 50% of the world's newest smash reality format. You've done it, young man.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Congratulations and welcome to the world of television production. I hope you're ready to go to France. What were you wear to the pitch meetings television production. I hope you're ready to go to France. What will you wear to the pitch meetings? Be bold, be brave, be beautiful. Back yourself, mate. You're a co-executive producer now. You're one of the big boys.
Starting point is 00:16:15 What kind of medicine will be in there? Ooh, will you surprise us, Liberty? Yes, don't let them hide their medicine before you come over to do the show. Who will be in the pilot? May we recommend Shally's Theron. It's all up to you now. You can do it. Grab it by the horns and ride it to success. They can tell it shit's gold boy! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha We're at 1050% I mean we're gonna be carried away there imagining global sales hey, but that's the kind of well I mean I love the idea so I'm just I'm doing every all the work. Yeah, do I have an employee? I don't know
Starting point is 00:17:02 No, there's no budget We don't have any money yet. We haven't sold any of these. Yeah, but it doesn't have production company front the money. If you would like to see it. You either production company now. You feel it would like to see it. It's the worst of 50% thing. We have profits for the back end. So you only came up with the idea, so you're doing no helping. Welcome to Chobius, baby. It's all idea.
Starting point is 00:17:20 Okay. Mark Burnett is an out there like digging in the sand bearing immunity idols He's only collecting the survivor money. Yeah, well, I was gonna ask you to help me get fans joy or someone like that I don't even know if I can get it. Yeah, this is your show This is you build it up from the ground. You'll feel so much satisfaction Jack when you pull this off trust me You'll feel great. All right I mean, I'll try can you just put something together. Yes Thank you.
Starting point is 00:17:45 The timing with these. The timing with these. The timing with these. The timing with these. Hey, we haven't done this for a while. Have we done this on the podcast? Maybe once, maybe. Once I think.
Starting point is 00:17:57 I think once. I think once. I would say. It's harder to do on the podcast, because we've had to, we had to put it out on Facebook to go, hey're gonna do this. We're not gonna look at the post Yeah, we want to do tell some we haven't thought of in a while It was that probably one of our favorite games on radio when people could just call in we can't have to halfway through the year Do we make the rule?
Starting point is 00:18:15 Ham we haven't thought of them this year. Yeah, that's fair. Okay, that's so that that seems like the right rules You've got to call in with All I've called you back but with someone a it's a little bit that we haven't thought of this year, and we've got to prove it to you by a backstory of who we actually have mentioned it to, generally is how this goes. You're ready to go. You want to do the insert for the...
Starting point is 00:18:35 Well you see, we say one during the intro, tossing up between two. I think I'll go with... Yep, epic. It's been a while since I've bought. About the French actor who plays Emily. Yeah. Yeah. It's been a while since I've seen them. She's been off my radar.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Yeah. I think about her because of her. He's always. Because of your dad. He loves her. Your dad's the only actress. So when did you talk about your, your dad seems to be. I don't know you've seen a film since Emily.
Starting point is 00:19:09 I think he's just sort of thought, that's as good as it can get. The other one I was gonna go with, another French one. Two Frenchies in my life. Do you like to do? No, soccer player, Zinedine Zedane. Yeah, I haven't thought about Zedane for a while.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Yeah, that would have been... That would have been... Obviously, you get more points if that person is, the more famous that person is than we haven't thought about. And they have to be as literally that we all know. Exactly. We do sometimes have some flame outs where we just like, well, we don't know who Ted Bernor is.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yeah, exactly. Oh, I know he's a great dancer. Yeah, yeah, sorry. We should point out to, of course, the price. It's usually a selection of hats that people have sent in. Now obviously we haven't done this segment for a long time. So it's really just hats that are available. Yep. We've got three hats available, but two are the same.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Hey, you can go through the first one. Two are an old sponsor. Yep. The show, BPATS. Now they are not a deep hat. I'll tell you this. Whilst BPAT were deep in their generosity of sponsoring the podcast. Yes. They've wasted their deepness on their gestures
Starting point is 00:20:10 and they have saved none for their hats. It's a shallow cap. We've got two of them. I don't want to diswage you from the BP hat. If you've got no forehead and you're easy and pretty high, this is the cap for you. Where it would pride. Two of those, and a green trucker hat again.
Starting point is 00:20:29 It's a little too shallow for my liking and a shorter pick trucker hat. From the Rain Tree Cafe in Bangkok. Yes. And we did a gap year out of the Rain Tree Cafe in Bangkok. Somehow it's still in our office, this green hat. It's had enough chances, I think, from 2013 or 2014. From memory, very big in size, and you end up having to use all the press studs at the back of it too. Oh, sorry, yeah, yeah, it's
Starting point is 00:20:55 too kind of... Oh, and it's a flimsy press stud too. I've just talked about that. They're not great caps. But also, you might find often on a truck there's a foam insert around the band that adds a little bit of padding or sweat absorption for your head, not present. Ian. Basically, you're spoiling it. Are you in? Oh, hi gentlemen.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Hi. Ian, we're very good. Make good luck. You've got three hats on off the two are the same. Yeah. Tell us someone we haven't thought of in a while. Edward Furlong. Very good. I think I'm pretty clear here.
Starting point is 00:21:30 I tell you, I would have nearly thought of him, but I didn't think that. That's an old one. Pet symmetry is being remade and wasn't Edward furlong in the original pet symmetry? I'm not actually sure, I just remember him from Ferminator 2. Yeah, it was in the original Pets Cemetery and guess what? I didn't think of him when I saw the post as I can't say I thought of him, but it's a chance I would have thought of him, so I knew him. I got very close to thinking of him as well,
Starting point is 00:21:57 because I watched the recent Pets Cemetery trailer, that's a new one. Yeah, and then I almost think of him. And I said to Beck, hey, this is a remake. This is an old film. I'll show you the trail act. And she says, no, I'm too scared. And so we didn't watch it. But you would have seen him.
Starting point is 00:22:11 I would have watched it and seen him. So you were on a knife, sir, GM. And you've just shot through there on two almost seen. Almost thought of, but didn't think of him. Well, what, do you want to end? Our BP, it's blue with white along the side. It's a felt as far as... ...soft brushed fabric.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Brush cotton. Same material the whole way around was the trucker had of course as the netting and one fifth of the front panel. It's green that way. Which hat? I would like the green one. That's traveled halfway around the world. That was nice.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Good call. You got a baby. We've got it from Ian to Joe. Joe, you there? Yeah, yeah, hey. Oh, why do you, Joe? Why, Joe? Um, Joe, there's still two hats on offer, both of the same.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Yeah. Uh, tell us someone we haven't thought of for a while. Gottie, eh? Uh, I've thought of him. Have you? Oh, it's here. Really? I'm really sorry. I mean, that song just comes on from times of time.
Starting point is 00:23:10 But we were talking about all timers, Australian, with our mate Chris from America. We were talking about Australians that have made it and he was talking about Silverchair in America. And Savage Garden came up and then Gotti and came up as well. Right. So I would have been clear from me, Joe. One of those ones where you think you've thought of him because you're precious at what he's done.
Starting point is 00:23:31 But then if you're being honest, you haven't thought of him this year. And Joe, we all thought it could have been someone who used to know that we still, I unfortunately do still do think of him. You still know of him and still do know of him. Thank you for the polite. So I see what you guys have done there. Loose word, but B plus word play. Great.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Thanks for having me on. Jess, Jess, so how are you? Hi, how are you doing? Jess, I'm very good mate. You've stood at two B pay hats here on the table. Tell us someone, a Velcro fastener at the back. That's what tells you all you need to know about the quality that you're playing for today. Tell us something.
Starting point is 00:24:08 The Olympic rower laid down Sally from the 2000 Olympics. Sally Robinson. Sally Robbins, that's her name, the one that stopped rowing just before the end of the race. We I'm and I thought of James Tomkins recently. James Tomkins text me to ask for your number. So so we've all been thinking of James Tomkins speaking recently. And when you said the Olympic role,
Starting point is 00:24:28 I was like, how good, how unlucky, because I said the so. Oh, James Tomkins just texted and she was like, oh, is he the role? So yeah, awesome, for some, and went through the rest of the box, Drew Jen. Yeah, and all the rest. But, James, you weren't?
Starting point is 00:24:42 I haven't thought of Sally Robinson. I haven't thought of Sally Robinson. I haven't thought of Sally Robinson. I'm not even sure if I know what she looks like anymore. We only saw the top of her head. You give it. Above the boat, you just see the archiver nose and the tuft of hair. There were eight rows, were there? Where did you get the fork?
Starting point is 00:25:01 Yeah, I think so. She was in an eight and she stopped rowing in the Olympic Games, didn't she? She just was hooked, I think. Yeah, exactly for the finish line. Yeah. We never really got the full story. No, they weren't going to win, I don't think. Yeah. Maybe they were going to play some,
Starting point is 00:25:13 I mean, it seems like a better story. It's a better story if they'll go to win. I don't think we got the full story. Like, we never got, there was rumors that it was a medical thing that she'd passed out. But then other... Yeah, like extreme exhaustion or something which you would get and rowings very hard certainly at the Olympic level and then but then there are
Starting point is 00:25:29 other girls in the boat going no she's done it before then there are other girls going no no she was just exhausted I just don't feel like we ever got closure we're not gonna follow that either on this project yeah no no we're not a potential to tell you what you've got Jess yeah head closure you've got a hat you've got one of the BP hats, well done. Thanks, Jess. Just confirming that we were saying Sally Robbins there. I said Robert said a few times.
Starting point is 00:25:53 I think we all said Robbins. And her name is Robert's hair. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Ding. Ding. Ando. Because we did a podcast in here at Podcast One headquarters and we sort of share a floor with a rock station. On any given day, we will hear as we're walking around the corridors, we have to get a drink or something, you know, go to the toilet, whatever, come in and out, we will hear Creed. Yes. The band.
Starting point is 00:26:24 That's just it. We try not to. We try not to, yeah, always, there's a rule. You will hear him. Here's my question to you, you've been in a band, you're in your brother's band. Yeah. Would that guy, the lead singer of Creed, would he have always sung with that voice,
Starting point is 00:26:41 or is it possible, cause it's gonna be a fun evening, it does a fun, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or is it very possible he started singing normally and it got no traction and then had a band being said guys what if I sung with a funny voice what if I'm and they went that is weird but it might get us some cut through would a band band, would a singer ever go? Cause some people sing with a very odd accent.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Yes. And then, that's not how they talk. That's how they talk at all, yeah. So, is that a conscious decision from a singer? Is it just the way you're singing? Great question. I think, I think you're right, he would have changed it. Yeah, he would have come back and gone, look.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Cause if it was into singing as a teenager, he wouldn't have been singing that. He wouldn't, you wouldn't, absolutely wouldn't. absolutely, and our band has, and obviously had the same level of success as well. So I'm wondering whether I should go back to Kim, my brother, who's the lead singer. He's got it within him. He's gonna say, he does, he,
Starting point is 00:27:34 you've heard the band. Yeah, yeah. They're a great band, but he's a normal voice vocalist. He's running with the natural. Yeah, it's a little normal. It's a little too normal, little too natural. We should be, what we should be saying to Kim is, hey bud, the public doesn't like your voice.
Starting point is 00:27:50 But you've got musical ability. Yes. So why don't you do a silly voice like the guy from Cree did? And then we could have some platinum albums. Yes, and see how he takes it. Nothing, my brother. I haven't had a beat down for years. For a good 20 years, but maybe...
Starting point is 00:28:11 Because of good band beat down. LAUGHTER MUSIC And of course one of our favourite parts of this show is it connects us to the incredible skills that people have walking amongst us just in the community. You might walk past one of these people today and you don't know, you didn't know that within them lies, some are just a man of talent. Some kind of special skill that has not been recognised.
Starting point is 00:28:38 No, and has really, usually no application, but is great nonetheless. That's the reason it hasn't been recognised. It doesn't have a huge commercial application. But is great nonetheless. That's the reason it hasn't been recognized. It doesn't have a huge commercial application. But it's the same with a strong man, for instance. We've got four cliffs now. Back in many evil times. It would have been good. So how are you going to get that barrel on the roof? Easy. And one sort of felt a miles of the Fence on the emails. He's a man called Luke. He has a phenomenal skill. He joins us on the phone. Luke, right. How are you made of Hoy?
Starting point is 00:29:08 Hello boys, it's El Skrillsen here. I came here up to Master Luke. Is that right? We haven't told the guys what you skill is yet Luke. So, it's El. Let me just grab Luke for you. Oh, Hoy boys, how are you going? I guess he's headed it like El Skrillsen, Luke.
Starting point is 00:29:23 All right. I'm with. He's had a bit like a girl's girl, so look. Sorry. I'm at my phone master. To bring everyone up to speed, to bring everyone up to speed, to bring everyone up to speed look for your sake, I'm going to read out your, read out your, read out. Just, I know what you're doing. Yeah, and it's fine. And it's fine.
Starting point is 00:29:41 I don't cry. It's fine. Yeah, what you're doing. And I can see, I can see look at Andy's face and say just to keep you on the line, keep you in the show, he look, you're gonna bring your red up speed. You say, I have the ability to come up with and vocalize the perfect voice for any character described to me.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Okay. You will be left saying, yep, that fits perfectly for the character. Yeah. Exactly. So, and what I thought we would do is we give Luke, we've already heard one, the Elzger also, won't count. No, that was just a freebie for the fans.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Okay, good. Luke, I suppose you should ask, so you mean like, save will you give your character, like, you know, oh, this is a guy from like, could be in like an action movie, a character like that, or do you want more like fictional, cartoony animated characters? It can be either, it's not so much, say, oh Mickey Mouse, and I'll do that, but give me like a character description, and I'll, I guess I'm a big fan of it. So it could be a real person from like a live action movie, or it could be some animated video game.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Okay. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, great. Well, I'm, you kick yourself while I was there. Well, we're going to discuss the judging here a little bit because you claim we will be left saying, yep, that fits perfectly for the character. Okay, so you're happy with that being the criteria
Starting point is 00:30:53 still look that we sort of have to go, yeah, that really feels like that character. Yeah, I think the character goes, yeah, if I had that, I wouldn't say, oh, this doesn't sound like that character. Yep, all right. So it's pretty much just a little subjective. Me and my son are a little subjective.
Starting point is 00:31:06 I'm gonna say it. We went to Bunnings and it wasn't a machine that measured character fit per unit. I'm gonna say it ain't going completely off the table. Yeah. Ah. Although that did sound like a disappointed look. So he's done the character well.
Starting point is 00:31:21 But if I'm in four out of five, four out of five gets one. If I go, yeah, okay, that. So we're going, yeah, that fits the character. Four out of five of it gets coined. I think it's basically just a general threshold of belief, isn't it? Okay. So we're just going, yeah, okay, I believe that. Well, to be fair, you use the word perfectly. So I mean, we're not going to hold you to it. I would say we're gonna be rigorous, but not unfair. Yeah. Is that okay?
Starting point is 00:31:48 Yeah, okay. I'm just gonna kind of read it. So for the character to kind of get adjusted as I do it, I choose it because I can't think about it. I gotta be honest, I'll give you 10 seconds to an internally adjust. No, but if you augment during your sentence, we're gonna, the last, where you arrive
Starting point is 00:32:04 is what you're going to be judged. I would have. I mean, because I've done a bit of character work myself, Luke has in a Oscar nominated animated film record rough too. We didn't get the gone, it doesn't matter. Me and the guys, we put together a fun film, we had a good time. You get judged on the whole line, they prefer you to be a character from the start of the line when you're doing Disney animations. So I would almost say take some time, quite quietly, get there, and then we really want to hear the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Okay, that's fair. A bit like just to not completely compare it. I guess is they let like Robin Williams have a go at G. No, apparently. Not go, apparently. Hey, no, no, no what Luke's skill was, I had to record this one quickly by myself before, just before we started the podcast. I didn't think I had enough time to be honest, to record it. Turns out I did. So before we do the voices, Luke, all Luke's voices, let's hear this. The other voices will try and understand them. We'll give you characters we want to hear and then we.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Yes we will judge you. Dinee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, ine, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, ine, inee, inee, inee, inee, inee, ine, inee, inee, ine, ine, him. I've got one that I feel like I could throw it. Yep, okay, what about this? It's a 3D animated kids cartoon. You might find it on Netflix, so it didn't make it to the theaters, but still would chew up some time in the afternoon. So that's kind of five to ten-year-olds. There's a bunch of animals in the forest. They sort of solve forest crimes jungle
Starting point is 00:34:05 crimes like oh you know what the bees have lost their hive or something chump you the alligator what does he sound like and what does he say hey kid guy you'll be looking for those bees why don't you just jump on over my head across the river, maybe you'll find them over there. Pass. Pass. Pass. I like the fact that he didn't change the voice, but I like that we saw a little glimpse of how Chumpy is, he seems gruff, but he's probably nice.
Starting point is 00:34:42 He's actually offering to use himself as a bridge and that fits the character description. If he'd been too mean, I think I would have failed you but he was nice. Oh. Okay, that was pretty good. That would have chumped the other guy to us. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:57 It's a, from the south of America, this is a, it could be animated all life, action doesn't matter. He's an ex jailbird who is now the local, it's right now the school principal, which is obviously controversial. South America. He's named Bob, not South America, the South of America. Oh, sorry, you're right. So like Tennessee. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Well, hotty kids, I think you'd be wondering why I'm wearing these stripes up here at the principal desk and, well, it's a story to tell you that's for sure. It's the wildest story in New World. The wilderness is the shanks of choppy. Oh yeah. I'm thinking I'm sure I do like the like. I do like the principal. You would think he would be hiding his ex-con pass, but it's actually his opening line to the kids. He's worn, I've worn my present after cause I've even bought it in a sharpened toothbrush, just thinking of the full glimpse of what I've been through in prison.
Starting point is 00:36:00 It's a pass from me, and this one's a bit self-explanatory. Rumpy the sex ed dog I'm sorry, she can help you out. Oh yeah, I mean. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:36:31 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:36:39 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Convert would have I've got a weird thing about dancing to show you what you do Pasha play I think you don't have a lot of wriggle room if you are pretty other other a sex ed video It's because you have to make a dog called rumpy Tell the kids rumpy sounded kind of horny to be sound of a gravy. I mean, yeah, I'm almost going to
Starting point is 00:37:15 Yeah, I mean Okay, okay, this is a can you do male and female? No, I could try. So far, nothing's out of reach. Okay, this is a, it's kind of like a gumnut tails type animation. Yeah, nice. Nice change of gear change after a run, people are sexy.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Where our lead characters, of all the different animals in the Australian bush, head up to the biggest gum tree where they meet a wise old lady, Cookabara, who can give them sage advice for any problems they may have. And you're the Cookabara? And you're the Cookabara. What's her name?
Starting point is 00:38:00 Nelly. The rapper. Good. Good day friends. It means many big cook about us. Thanks for coming out all the way here into the deep of the Australian Outback you saw me in my highest teeth in the highest point of the world. He's got the coin. Yeah, you got the coin. Yeah, you got the cord. You found me. You found me, he's a good one. She's had a bit like the old lady off Titanic.

Okay's it's a Humpty the girl sex and dog I think it's like the rompy I want to show you what I don't think I'm going to be better failed. Back to being a 4 out of 5. You got your own feeling.
