Starting point is 00:00:00 A LISTENUP PRODUCTION Activate your internet Cause the Hamish and the Podcast starts in 3, 2, sorry, still buffering. 1 What are you hear? Hi, boy. Fourth last show of the year before you have to take the government mandate to big break. And we fought.
Starting point is 00:00:33 I understand we've been from disordered to bought it. Like absolute bastard to me. Get truth and nail. Screaming down the phone at the Australian regulators of Internet abroad cars. They say, guys, it's always, always been the way. You've got to take three months off over summer. We said change it. You know, the formats of Olving. Exactly. You can't do this to us. They said, look, it's old men with their old ways.
Starting point is 00:00:55 That's the kind of stuff we're in. We're in dinosaurs. You can't get it. Anyway, rules are bloody rules. So they will make us take the three months off. We'll splash some water on our face. Stretch the shoulders. I'm back already next to you. Oh, what are you, Jacko? Oh, and the Hoi-to-Andrea in New Zealand. Hoi boys, it's Andrea here from New Zealand again. Look, I left a message before. Not happy with it. It took me a long time to do this, so I really hope it's worthwhile this time. But look, I was wishing you a Merry Stixmas. I think Stixmas is just a wee round to be honest, not just
Starting point is 00:01:31 an October thing. But I do know that we are about to hit a really important date, 25th of October, chicken fest. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited about it this year. I missed it last year. So look, with the messaging around this, let's get on board. It's just a marketing, I'm Kane. Thanks boys. The card's obviously an old one. Yes, we've missed.
Starting point is 00:01:53 She said to say 25th of October. So that's only three weeks to upload. That's nice. So offering speeds are increasing. A new world record. I'll access times are decreasing. Okay. Interesting to you, guys, I can address this, and we thought it needed to be addressed. We're talking about here as two religious festivals. In a year where it's been a topsy-turvy year.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Sometimes more turvy than tops. You've noticed it's been a year of swift peaks and deep troughs. It's been topsy, topsy at some times, or turvy, turvy. Yeah, yeah. But, you know, we've had, we've found light, we've found silver linings. One of the things to go, I think early on in the year of coronavirus was the Olympics and everyone went, yeah, look, that's going to happen. You saw that coming a mile away. Yeah. Long as we've still got chicken first, that was basically the vibe. going to happen. You saw that coming a mile away. Yeah. Long as we've still got chicken first. That was basically the vibe.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Yeah. You know, sports, sports come, sports go. When the, I mean, back in the day, when it was the greasional Olympics, it was all about wrestling and chariots. Yeah. No one cares about them. Well, they care about wrestling. That's still in there.
Starting point is 00:02:57 But my point is, cases changed. Now the chicken, the chicken was in there. The chicken, the chicken hasn't changed for a very long time. But, and that's why I think people were like, well, that's our solid. The chicken fest is our solid.
Starting point is 00:03:10 The festival that celebrates one-off chicken shops. In our hometown, chicken shops weren't available to go into dining and go in in a formal attire on the night of chicken fest, to your own local chicken shop for chicken chips. They were, cannot be a franchise. No. So all of October, I mean,
Starting point is 00:03:28 or August and September, these places would take only. And the rules continue to be implemented at various stages around the country. And look at, obviously, we didn't formally announce that chicken fest wasn't gonna happen on the 25th of October. We, I think we just assumed,
Starting point is 00:03:44 we just knew it was a given. And I trust me, Andy, no one, I've had to look the victims of chicken fest not happening this year in the eye. Yeah. Sat from Smoky Chooks. His little boy goes to school with my little boy. Right. So I've seen the family. And they're, you know, they easy angry with us? No, Andy stands. Okay, cool. He does. That's not like a fucking fine guy. No, he's a wife, they get it. Hey, we couldn't do it. We couldn't do the top hat deal.
Starting point is 00:04:09 We couldn't do any of the things we love about chicken fest. They wouldn't want to do it. Which you want to do it if you take, if you're wearing your top hat, they'll fill it with chips. And that and Smoky Chooks on it, that and a lot of chicken shops around Australia and New Zealand on it, the top hat deal. And their message to me was we would have been too painful to try and do a watered down version of chicken fest. So for the
Starting point is 00:04:30 people wondering about chicken fest, they're not doing the Olympics with swimmers in every second lane. Exactly. And then some of the fun stuff about the Olympics, that's why they can't do it. We're like, we can't do the fun stuff, we don't want to do. To end this what time you think you would have got. Needs a, you know, torch relay. That's a COVID nightmare passing. So if you're passing a baton on that similar passing you're top at over to the store owner to get them full of tips. And that's and they talked about, they talked about for a little while.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Um, with the torch relay, you, I obviously turn up to you and I've got a lit torch. Yours is unlit at that stage. To sanitize it, they were saying, do I waft my flamethrower? Flamethrower? Do I burn your hand a bit? Burn the germs off? And they were looking into that. And then they said, this sucks.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Let's just do this next year. And so we had similar ideas for chicken festival and it was just sort of decided. But look, it's got backing from up on high. From the chicken chop owners themselves, they said of decided. But look, it's got backing from up on high from the chicken shop owners themselves. They said, we'd rather do it properly. Again, at another time. And that is the sad tale. Are we gonna make it?
Starting point is 00:05:33 Are we making a statement now that it'll be back on next year? Yes, we do like saying stuff like that. We don't have to talk about it. Because A, it's far enough away to allow it to peed or out. And B, it sounds great. Yeah, we are making that statement. Yeah, next year, chicken fest is back to celebrate the vaccination worldwide of 8 billion people.
Starting point is 00:05:55 We will eat some chickens, thanking them for their sacrifice on that glorious night. So that's good news. Chicken fest is back on. The other thing, the other, the other, come on with sticks, miss. A... Stick's miss. A wonderful special day and everybody's heart. A religious festival, a room of a spiritual festival where the possession, the magical
Starting point is 00:06:15 possession of good sticks is shared far and wide. You had a tub of thick sticks that was good for a post-kindling phase of... A five-month-long... ...beginning kindling. Yeah, that's way smaller than a lock. That's what I'm saying. of thick sticks that was good for a post-kindling phase of much bigger than kindling. That's way smaller than a lock. That's what I'm saying, the post-kindling. Yeah. And you gave them away.
Starting point is 00:06:32 But they were really good looking sticks. They were. And I think the special part about sticksmas, and I've had, obviously we've had a lot of requests, say can we do sticksmas again? Here's the difficult thing. It's like sort of going, hey, Mary, have another baby. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:46 OK, well, I wasn't planning the first one. If you'd have listened to me and I was telling the story and Ang, you came and put it in me, and then it was the son of God. OK, so I can't just magic it up out of nowhere. I'm wrapped that the first one happened, because now I suspect I will go down for millennia as an idolized person.
Starting point is 00:07:04 So I'm not, I love that it happened, but I can't just get another one. I'll marry. And it is a little bit the same as Stixmas. I don't know where those sticks came from. When I, they were... Did we give away the ball? We gave away the ball.
Starting point is 00:07:16 They were at my house and they were ornamental. I don't know where they came from. They were immaculate. Just like immaculate conception, they appeared out of nowhere. I don't remember having a dream, but I may have... The angel dropped the ball. You called Willow-Larry, the lumberjack angel, the angel of sticks, may have dropped them off magically one night. On his way to Bethlehem to deliver even better sticks to a manger.
Starting point is 00:07:41 So you can't just do it again. Okay. I just suddenly have amazing sticks out of nowhere. You're gonna be, am I on the lookout? Of course I'm on the lookout. I'm not the Andy Christ. I'm not the Andy Stixmas. I care so greatly about hopefully doing sticks most of my more time.
Starting point is 00:08:01 I just can't, you just can't magic up sticks of that quality out of nowhere. So can I be expected to either. To lament, I know it's a bad news, bad news, in the situation, although the good news about chicken festers, it is back on next year. Yeah, we did do a tour around there. And I think with Stixmas, we don't know what it will have,
Starting point is 00:08:17 but we don't know if it will happen again. And I've sort of, I thought I'd bring out the old guitar if you'll allow me and play us out. Please. With sort of the opposite of a Christmas carol, sort of a non-carol, a lament. Here we go. Sorry, I never get this bloody chord right. Here we go. So this is not Sticks Manus.
Starting point is 00:08:38 I don't care what you've done That list means nothing Cause sticks I've got none So this is not stick's mess Just a day of the year I hope it's a good one But that's just as I'm a nice guy Thank you Thank you, how many takes?
Starting point is 00:09:19 No takes, that was life I'm sorry But were there takes? Yeah, just the one. It just the one take. I usually don't need a second. Not enough carols are dedicated for it not being the day. That's true.
Starting point is 00:09:36 And so that's you getting regular. Regulatory, or regular tree. I know there's nothing Christmas here about the... LAUGHTER MUSIC Hame, we've got to tie this up before the end of the year. I mean, there's great things to tie up. This one has been... Oh, we've got a lot of sausages to tie up, don't we? A lot of open sausages.
Starting point is 00:09:59 And a sausage skin is tough to tie. And so I'll give everyone a heads up now. We won't tie off all our sausages. No. We will end the year with some meat spilling out of the sausage skin. Not some exposed mint. But these pork mints that will make a real mess on the barbecue should it get to that stage. But we will do our best to tie off the open snags in the factory. What are we going to do? Here's one that we are needing get an update from you, Jack. You don't want the hiring of the electronic drum kit anymore. This is a meaty sausage.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Ah, which you agreed to hire of Hamish for $1 a month. Where do we leave this? I, I, I, he wants to send the deal. Yeah, it's just to can't get out of the deal. That's to the end of next year. Okay, some people said, I won't pursue this, but some people said my legal right is that I can give it back. Yeah. But let's assume...
Starting point is 00:10:49 They're incorrect. A lot of people. I know what sausage of ice is. I think we got up there. We finished the podcast and then he's like, you don't have to give... No, you do have to keep it. You made a deal. So it's to the end of next year, you're responsible for it, to the end of next year. So this will suit me better anyway, because if I am able to sublet it,
Starting point is 00:11:10 that means I don't even have to drop it back at your house. Somebody will come and pick it up from my house, take it away. Well, they only need to get it back to you, remember. You are still in the chain. You're still the middle man. You bet you would assume when it's dated. I would never, I would never assume.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Don't assume anything, Jack. Anyway, then if I recall correctly, on last week, the challenge is a difficult. This is a real web. If I recall Crick on last week's podcast, Jack said, by the way, it's broken, so I would favor people asking to have it who will fix it. It's your respect.
Starting point is 00:11:42 You are in big trouble here, because you have to give it back to me in working condition. Well, he's asked for people to come pick up a drum kit. He's favoring people that will pick it up and fix it. That's what he's saying. Jack, did you have anyone that said that they'd do that? Lots of interested keen drummers out there. I automatically deleted any message that didn't reference I will fix the drum there. So sorry if I didn't write back to those people. But it should come as no surprise
Starting point is 00:12:10 that Jack was looking for it and bov and beyond deal and favoured him. So people have come back. I've got, when I'm narrowed down. What are you renting it for again? What did you say? It was going to cost him. I think I said $30. That's right. I'm month. So you're arbitraging a huge amount here. Don't what do I charge you a month? A dollar. Yeah, because I can't remember what I said. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:12:31 No one can. I can't. I can't. I can't remember what I said, but a lot of people coming in, I was saying they would like the drum kit, but they'd like to negotiate the high fee. So that makes me think that I said something ridiculous. Well, you blatantly revealed what your pain, what your overheads are, and what your retail is,
Starting point is 00:12:48 and it's a 3,000% mark. Yeah, you're charging 30 times. So, did anyone, like, it's, so you got three candidates? I've got three candidates that are in Melbourne can come and pick it up and will say that they will fix it as well. Are you going to ask the owner whether you could sublet it to these, or are you going to make the decision
Starting point is 00:13:04 on the one, whoever you want? I'm happy to discuss that with you, Hank. I pretty much, they all write the same thing. I'd love to drum blah, blah, blah. I'm pretty much going off. This is all on Instagram. Do they drum or do they have dreams of drumming? They do. All three of these guys drum. Okay, that's more likely that they'll be able to fix it. Because also, you know, you're talking about like a electroengineering here. I mean, how do they know they can fix an electronic drum? So they'll probably go get it service, I'd imagine, which is something it hasn't had for the duration of the
Starting point is 00:13:35 whole. Give us the candidates. All right. For the first one is Nick. Now, I'll just give you what I see. It's his Instagram profile. And I just go off the pictures. He's a strong guy, really tough.
Starting point is 00:13:48 First picture is him with the protein shake. Second picture is him in front of the weights machine. Okay, he's gonna hit it too hard. That's what I can do. He's doing. Sorry Nick, you're not in front for summer. Hang on, great. A bit of first trapping, it sounds like for summer,
Starting point is 00:13:59 but yeah, I worry about whether or not, because she's a delicate kit. No, hang on, can I put a pebble on the other side of the scale for Nick? He's not going to drop it taking it inside. That's true. True. But I don't think anyone's going to drop it through We Calm Strike. That's all very heavy.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Okay. That's awesome. It is annoying to carry that. You would admit that. I was annoying to carry it. Not too heavy. Not too heavy, but it's bulky and, you know, you're trying to weave through doorways and stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:27 You're trying to sell it. You're trying to remember you're trying to sell it. You're not going to be on the most honest man in this conversation. Okay. That's the second one who fit the bill was Tani. Sadly, a close profile on Instagram can't really. What did he or she write? She wrote, oh, she loves to drum, her husband's a drummer, and he's a drum fixer.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Suspicious. Oh, very suspicious. I receive a $30 per month allowance from the government that has a nutspin, or a busy instrument. So it seems that all the ducks are lighting up well. No, that's, you're being catfished there, Jay. Yeah, that's a bot. He has been once drummed for Paul Kelly.
Starting point is 00:15:10 I can believe that I once drummed for Dave Grohl. Yes, not lying. Not in his band. No, for him. You just said Ben he kind of took the queens situation where I drummed for him. Yeah, he said they like the queen and had to. Yeah, they got into specifics. Very much like the queen had to endure someone dancing in front of them and go,
Starting point is 00:15:30 thank you very much. What episode of the crowd are you watching? Well, Prince William, last time he was out here, they took him. Oh, you need it. They took him to, it was like women over 50, oh, women over 60s dancing troupe. Yeah, yeah. And they're showing off their skills.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Yeah. I thought you were thinking of like a court justice in Mario where you have to put up with someone dancing in front of you. No, no. What I'm saying is I drummed for Dave Grohl, full stop, factual sentence. That is true.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Like the drummer boy drummed for Jesus. Now no one's saying that Jesus is banned that night. No, I'm just saying Jesus is banned that night. The thing is, the thing is the project. saying Jesus was the project. The last one. The last one is Mitch. He usually drums on an acoustic kit is interested in knowing what it's like on an electric kit. Electric curious.
Starting point is 00:16:17 He's thinking of going for electric curious. And a lot of digital. Oh wow. Did you hear this? Okay, well that's nice. I did, did he facilitate that? Did he say anything about fixing it? Yes, he was, he didn't, a lot of people came out and said straight away,
Starting point is 00:16:32 I can fix the drum kit, but I didn't actually say explicitly what was wrong with it. That's one of those features. He said, what's wrong with the high-hat pedal? I've got a feeling I might be able to fix it. I love that. I'm going to call him. I'm going to call him. Let's call that. I love that. I love that.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Let's go. I love that honesty. He seemed honesty, didn't he? Electrocurious. Hello. How's it? Is that Mitch? Yes it is.
Starting point is 00:16:56 How you miss an anti-hear mate? How are you, sir? I'm always here. Pointy-you. I'm only Mitch. Now we hear you are an analogue drummer, but you're electrocurious. Yes, I am very electro curious. Oh!
Starting point is 00:17:05 As any of your sticks have a brush against an electric skin? Oh, you know, just a few times. And dabble. When you're in the middle. You don't have to really sink your teeth in there. But you've always, why not? Yeah. What it would be like to go back and do it properly.
Starting point is 00:17:20 Yes, I have. Probably get into it. Mitch, Jack, you can quite about what might be the problem with the high hat pedal. Jack broke the kit. Do you think you might know the cause? Well, Jack said it could just be the actual high hat chain. And if it is, that's just an easy replacement. Jack, so I should be up to get in and fix it up. Okay, Mitch. So the terms where you would come pick it up, repair it.
Starting point is 00:17:47 So Jack's just jumping straight to, wait for me to make sure this is getting beaty. Jack, yeah. I'm just trying to remember what we all said. Where does Mitch live? I'm in the Harderburg area. I'm in Melbourne suburbs. Okay, okay, great.
Starting point is 00:17:58 So that way. Jack, you've got a youth there. You could drop it to Mitch. Yes. I'm trying to think of an excuse. Actually, at spinning wheel. What a kiss if ever I've got one. Oh, that's a good kiss. That's an option for you, Mitch.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Mitch. Okay, so Mitch, but you did offer, I'm just reading over your message again, you did offer to come and pick it up. I bet to get the deal down, you drop it off. I mean, look, I have a small, less UV star can come pick it up as well. It's pretty bulky. I think we'll get it in the next V. I worry, I worry, I in me I be confident I go Is it a Volkswagen TIG? Is it a TIG one impressive? No it's a Mitsubishi. Oh what type of we do in Pajera at lander sounds like an outlander man. I say sex. I say sex. Oh the oil is strange. Okay, so John that runs well sometimes it crashes. Let's say the
Starting point is 00:19:03 course with Mitsub Mitch picking it up, only because, no, but Jack getting it around or doing it, like that's true, yeah, now we're going to do it. But what we need to decide on his price, Mitch, what do you think's fair for the monthly rental? I mean, look, I'm happy to negotiate. What's Jack's offer is it's still the 30 if I fix it? The sky high 30.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Jack? Mitch, I'm even willing to bring that down as if you're trustworthy and you don't break the kit, you fix it and you deliver it back to Hamish at the end of the lease. Yep. Great. So, what are you going to bring it down to? Was that the old test? Was it if you're trustworthy and you fix it?
Starting point is 00:19:41 Yep. Sounds like you're trustworthy. I mean, there's no to trustworthy. But, Jack,'s the price price? Let's go $10 a month. Mitch. Yep done. Mitch. Negotiated. Well done. Yeah. Now he's done it. I mean pretty good. That's 120 bucks. It is. It's pretty decent. Yeah. But Jack wants this thing out of his house mate. Can you just count it with $2 a month? I know. But you do. Annie's happy. You can hear the hearing you want.
Starting point is 00:20:07 The hearing you want. Mitch, you think you wanted in your house? Jack thought the same thing. Mitch, no backs, no giving. I'll just, I, I, I, I, I, but if I don't want it, can I sub-leaf to the gym? Oh, yeah. That's a very good question.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Sure, I mean, there's no limit to the days you're chaining here, but I do worry, but this thing will ever make its way back to me. But having said that, do I want it back? Evidence points to maybe not. Well, I do want it still legally mine in case Cool Boys and the Frontman ever reformed. Yep. We'll need it back there.
Starting point is 00:20:36 We'll need the kit in that instance. But in the off season, between harvest, I tend to not need it. Yep. But it's only when the ban winds up again that I do need it. Don't go then, Mitch, $10 a month. Thank you very much. Don, fixing the pedal.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Jack, we'll help you load it into your small, if you pay upfront. No, mate. No, he's not paying up to the upfront. I'll pay you. I don't. I don't believe it. Hey, Mitch, if you pay for your cent, by the way. If there's the guy.
Starting point is 00:21:03 I'll pay out of Mitch's money. If the, if the, if this is, if the pedal repons, you don't believe it. Hey, Mitch, if you sent by the way, if there's the guy out of Mitch's money, if the, if this is, if the pedal repons, you are, Jack Ponzi. I'm not a Ponzi. You are a Ponzi on you, sir. You're a Ponzi on you. Hey, Mitch, here's how it's going to work. You're going to, you're going to pick it up. That will help you.
Starting point is 00:21:19 If, Jack will help you load. If you, if the pedal requires fixing, and it's a lot of money, you don't have to pay Jack. You can take the fixing bill out of Jack's lease money. Great. I know you're going to fix it yourself, Mitch, by the way. Well, we'll find out. That's the rule.
Starting point is 00:21:37 That's the rule. So, how good luck fixing it yourself, but yes, $10 a month less. How much it costs to fix if it goes into a negative, if it costs more than the lease, you don't, but Jack doesn't have to pay you. Thank you. Deal. Deal. Done.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Deal. Great. Happy. Great. And it stays out of my garage. LAUGHTER All right, Nando. This came to Blakey's side of the fence, but immediately set off my flag.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Yeah. And I keep on my hat. Don't lift it in the face. But when you got a Zoom call from me, you saw my flag was up. Yeah. You went right. Right. You were on. He's seen something good.
Starting point is 00:22:17 My flag was up because a good old man got Harry had emailed the show. And in terms of his special skill, he had said to us, I can give you the house price of a listed house in any suburb of Adelaide. You describe the house, you tell me the suburb. I can get as close to 15 grand to such a place. So he is a walking house valuation algorithm for the Adelaide region. He can't do it. He's not saying he can name your blue mountains property. And do that, he can't tell you what a two bedroom apartment and cod a slow is worth No, but jeez you throw him some Adelaide stuff. Yep. He's all over it
Starting point is 00:22:50 He joins us now. Harry. How are you going mad? Oh? Have you got any? I don't even care to stick to the celebration. Well, we haven't had eyes on him all day Harry, but I can say in the last minute or so he seems to be relatively smoke free Congrats on the edge of your hands. Cheers mate, Billy, appreciate it. Let's see if we can put it behind us, but it may pop up again. Harry, don't appreciate your slander, but I will.
Starting point is 00:23:13 It's just like running through some facts. Obviously, well, actually not obviously, do you work in real estate? No, I don't. What draws you to have such a keen interest in ability to be looking for a house for a long, long time? Not really, it just sort of came along from Saturday morning, lift out, back in the day. Oh, yeah. And you know, a dad would lift it out and say, you know, this house in Kingston, it's very better to be bathroom, how much. And I just always got a pretty close.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Yeah, sort of, just careful about. And I've got a friend Mark, who actually got told by realestate.com, he's not in the market for a house, he just loves real estate. And I think a few people are like this. He just is always on their cruise and, like just naming suburbs, naming brackets,
Starting point is 00:24:03 and he's just addicted to looking at property. He got an email from real estate.com congratulating him that he was in their top 2% of users. He was a power user and they were like, you know, it was like at a casino. Like, if there's anything we could do to make a stable company, we could preload some lists for you. And so he was quite chuffed that he got the nod from real estate.com. Harry, are you on there a lot? Do you like cruising around on Domain
Starting point is 00:24:30 or real estate or those websites? Oh, yeah, definitely real estate.com was the last reason around all suburbs. Were you a little jealous that you haven't got the email from real estate.com? Have they told you a little bit jealous? That's fair. OK, well, today you're going to get something
Starting point is 00:24:44 that Mark can't have, which is potentially a Hamish and Andy coin. And worth infinitely more than an email from a real estate website, from someone, from the same thing, from boosting our numbers. We've got the game mate. Essentially, we're going to be giving you the specs of a house where it might be on the Adelaide region and how many beds bathrooms we'll throw in car ports if the car space is in there as well.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Now obviously for people listening they would go, you know, you're not just going to look online at this stuff. Harry, how can you prove to us that you're not cheating? I don't have my laptop. I guess. Oh, that's a point like, so this proof. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Harry, it's the spirit. We've gone back to the spirit there. We were trying to use zoom to like, now, but we know it's the spirit of the game. Yeah. Pretty much cheating. No, Harry, obviously, with timely answers, if you start going, hmm, that's a really interesting question and we need to get it.
Starting point is 00:25:50 We will know you're buying time. But timely answers will be the important thing. We're going to go three different places, houses, and you've got to get three from three, but I want to extend the bracket. He said within 15,000 here, but because of the 100% hit rate, Eric and we'll double that to within $30,000. I was either sure. Sure.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Sometimes, so Harry, some of the ones we've got here that we've jumped online and got from random spots around Adelaide, it'll do the price range. Like, this is not one of them, but it might say look between, you know, 360 and 400. Now in those cases, we'll have to have it in that bracket. Yep. Is that fair? And then in the other cases that list a specific price, it might be a private sale, then it'll be
Starting point is 00:26:35 plus or minus 30 grand. Perfect. You agree to the term, Terry? Uh, yep. That sounds all good. I'm with you laptop again. Not with you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Oh, you're checking that. Harry, those are the price of different houses. I'm with you laptop again. Not with you. Check it out. Harry knows the price of different houses Based on number of bass and mouth grooves He can name the price based off a summer Anywhere in Adelaide will do And he got out to an early lead on that song L Lyrically, and I battled to keep up the whole way and Andy was able to press the advantage across the line first. I just seemed to be one syllable off on the song, but we're not here to analyse vocal
Starting point is 00:27:17 pace. I thought he was going to gas himself out halfway through and I'd stall him at the end but he managed to keep his nose in front. Um, let's do it, Ham. Do you want to go to the first house? Yes, okay. Harry, are you ready? I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Here's the specs. Okay, Harry. 88 mils terrace north Adelaide. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, four car spaces. This is the big house. Okay, North Battlehead, Richie Salad, so any snow in the woods? Yeah, I'm actually just going to do any stock draw here and pull some of the title beads. What, what, what that is?
Starting point is 00:27:57 The 3 bar 4 cars and I will throw this in there too because I think it makes a difference. Almost 1700 square metres of probability of missing. Oh, my parliament house is for sale. Okay, right, so we'll fill out. I'm going to say 2.7 million. That's good buying. That's a bargain. That's a 3.8 is what Andrew wants for.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Oh, yeah. Yeah. And it won't budge. It didn't get to where he is by giving houses away, Harry. Okay. Let's hit it across. We could have keep going. That was tricky.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Let's go for four. Yeah. That was tricky because I mean, when I say we've got these very we've got these very high-end I produce a printed these off and that's lovely. I mean, I can see a little bit nervous out there, but that's an extremely high-end, tough to predict. We're gonna do, you need three from three from now.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Yeah, okay, that was your tester. We're heading across to Norwood, and we're in Wood Street there in Norwood. What's your vibe on Norwood? There's a suburb, another richy suburb, any neck of woods. No, no. I actually live in the same zone as Hey Vishamy, his significantly bigger house that they just
Starting point is 00:29:16 for the record of the football. He must be nice. Yeah, must be very nice. Too bad, actually. He's certainly. He's certainly in pressure. Anyway, but I was already self-reported that Harry Very nice to that actually. Certainly. Certainly appreciate it. Anyway, but I was already self-reported that Harry so in touch with a man whilst experiencing a nice house.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Self-reported. Um, four bedrooms in Norwood, mate. It's four bedrooms, two bathrooms, three cars, but what are the cars spots in these places? Yeah. Uh, just your 568 square metres compared to the one we just heard. What are we thinking for that property? Okay. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, three cars.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Three cars. Three cars is full of new. Character five places in my life. A character? Okay. That's really handy. A entertainer. A terrace. Doctor, reverse cycle. Oh, think the tan of the terrace. Doctor, we have a cycle.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Oh, wonderful heating in the ensuite. I'm going to say 1.6 million. Yes, we know million. Yeah, we know million. False off. Unlucky, because when you started doing this thing, it was 1.75, we were looking for us, we thought you had it. But again, good buying.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Look now, it's whether you're the same guy. Now it's for you. Harry, you know what you said your dad used to take out the lift out. How old were you when you did that? Um, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, nine, ten, eleven, nine, okay, how old are you now? Twenty-one? Right, so it is possible you are looking at these with two thousand eight prices. It seems that way. You've been, you've been, we've got to remember that the markets moved since the you first started the game. So, factor that in for your next guest.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Um, this is a house in Tussmoor. Tussmoor? Is that what you're putting out, sir? Yeah, Tussmoor. Tussmoor, that what you're putting out there? Yeah, Tuss more. Tuss more. Here is what I said. Move four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two car spots, 800 square meters, an extended Californian bungalow. Okay, so I think we're not talking about here. It's had a Rena down on it. Another, another, another, she's solid. Yeah. Cheesera. He likes the fighter stuff out there. That's pretty nice. Tuss more.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Kenaway Street. Four beds, two bath, two car, eight on the square meters. What are you gonna go with? Two point, three million. Wow. I've played over on that, my friend. If you would have bought that for 1.45 to 1.5.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Oh, no. I mean, this is a tough game. He's a tough, although he's not excelling. He's a million dollars off. You are. So, so you're a great man. Yes, he's like a million dollars here. Million dollars for chocolate bar.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Okay. One more to see whether you are alongside the same thing as Scott. Harry, you're on the property ladder yourself or you merely at the Musing stage. Ah, just yeah, not yeah, but yeah, not easy with two summons. Friligizing a man sort of summons. Yeah, no, totally. I mean, it's easy if you got some of them though for a million under there. You'd be able to flip it.
Starting point is 00:32:20 We're going to all gate. In a light, um, We're going to Old Gate in Adelaide. Can Man to Road, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1 car, but a lot of space, 2500 square metres. Cool. Solid brick and structure. Yeah. Do you know where Old Gate is? Yeah, we're all going to get it. Yeah, it's in the... I like it. It was another richie, something. Yeah, I'm a bit surprised. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 00:32:51 LAUGHTER I'm really not saying that. $2 million listing hasn't it? That would be four better. Four better. Four better. Yep, yep. Yeah, three.
Starting point is 00:33:04 One car. So you jebath round. Oh. One car. So you get a Tarago. You've got a 900,000. Good buying again. Good buying again. It's 1.1 million. Your closest get though, I think.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I know the one point six was closer, 1.75. Hey, it's a resounding fail. It is really fast on this one. Coromandel Valley. 12-a. So it's a resounding fail. It is really fast on this one. Coromandel Valley, 12 a.m. So it's it's sub division, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, six cars, Coromandel Valley, six cars, 800,000. No, I've had too much mate. That's 640,000.
Starting point is 00:33:41 That one. It's never, never, never. There, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never You had a bit of a stumble on the first one. You stayed down, you played death. And eventually came and delven you wrote over you and you still didn't get up. But we love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you.
Starting point is 00:34:14 We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you.
Starting point is 00:34:21 We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. We love you. Hey, what did you play a little game with you guys? It's sort of supermarket based. Have you ever noticed on the, like at the supermarket, next on the front of the pack,
Starting point is 00:34:34 they've got the health star ratings? Like where it goes, this is like, you know, four and a half out of five stars healthy. I've just been noticing those a little bit lately, because sometimes when you're looking for kids and stuff, you're, you know, go for the help of trying to get the healthy thing. I don't know what's going on with those stars. I don't know who makes them. Some foods choose not to play the game. Yeah. And shaltana brands five. I mean, you don't know if they're, are they going off sugars, are they going off fats?
Starting point is 00:35:02 I don't know who's doing the stars. I don't know if I'm just if it's just me, but I find there'd be almost no rhyme or reason to the star system. And then my other question is, if you're a company going, should we put the stars on, should we not? If you're making a two product, don't put it on.
Starting point is 00:35:18 I think the rules are now you, you meant you have to. But for some lots of companies don't play the game. You sure it's not hidden in some ways? Trust me mate, I've just been down at the supermarket buying bags with shopping so we can play the game and some don't play the game. Let's do a check.
Starting point is 00:35:36 I freestyle this. Well, I've got a game if you're in the mood. It's to do with the stars you see on food. What's the deal with the health rating you see? I'll show you food. How many stars can there be? You got a guess. You got a guess. It's a mess. Not a mess. It's a very standard game. Not a mess. No, it's not a mess. It's not a mess. It's not a mess. It's not a mess. It's not a mess. All those stating, the rating system. I guess I was talking about the rating system, but you could read
Starting point is 00:36:01 this into that and go, the songs are mess. But it's not a mess. It's a simple game. I've got some bags of shopping. I'll bring a man. You guys throw your star rating guess at me. If you get it correct, you got that food. Okay, oh good. More exciting. I hear jacks actually jacks.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Can you really like something? Maybe if it's a crunchy ice cream, it's like. And if we guess four, say it and so four and a half, does that count? Stop trying to get free food jack. I'm back in a second. four and a half, does that count? Stop trying to get free food jack. I'm back in a second.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Okay, Hame has left the studio returning. She helped long the game going for it. Yeah, I've got a lot of stuff because he's so much easier. He's come back with two huge fairs. I won't be doing all the foods, but I'm just going on the supermarket and fighting interesting things.
Starting point is 00:36:44 I just kept finding more interesting things in Pulse Club. And then I went, well, I'm not going to return all this. I'll take it out. Yeah. OK. OK. Join the giant bag one. So this is a buzzing system or we guess one at a time?
Starting point is 00:36:59 I think one at a time, Jack, but we rotate the serve. You can go first. Nice, Andy. A passion fruit yogurt from the culture company. Okay. Three. It's a four for me. It's four and a half. Which I was surprised at guys, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Through, no one wins. No one wins. Well, yogurt for Hayne, okay. But we got Nick's. We got Nannas. I hope you don't get this one because I do like these. Four snack apple pies. Oh, four packet, many apple pies. Referred to as probably a dessert, you would say. That's got apple in it. That's two and a half. Two. Damn it, Jack's got it. It's two stars. OK, so we're finding out, but they're not that far off.
Starting point is 00:37:46 Not crazy, not crazy. Just some salad cream. Ooh, regular salad cream. Jacko? I know. Sal cream is low. I'm going to go as low as one. Ooh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:37:58 I would have had it as, I mean, now I'm going off you a bit. Now go with what you've got, Andrew. Two and a half. 0.5. Yeah. I've seen, actually, notice on Sarah Kramer, it's like, why is it Sarah Kramer? What was he doing?
Starting point is 00:38:12 All the bears in the charge. It's Sarah. What's normal Kramer? Have we got a Kramer? Normal Kramer's too. What? Sorry. Whoever's doing the stars, this is where I begin to suspect.
Starting point is 00:38:21 I think it's taste based. I think whoever's doing the stars goes, not a fan of it. Okay, here we go. Delicious beef burgers, some frozen beef burgers. Just patties, yeah? Just patties, so there's no cheese, no bread. Just the ground up goodness of beef.
Starting point is 00:38:36 That's three stars. Four. One and a half. Oh, wow, fat. That's amazing. Maybe it's fat, but I mean just that's aren't bad for you That's just yeah, I don't even know what's going on there. Okay, I'm good. I'll be quick oats Jack, oh you got the sir two minute quick oats have to be good for you four and a half five
Starting point is 00:38:56 Andy Lee five. Yes Deary free organic coconut yoga Okay. Hang on, hang on. This is a good one. Okay. Dairy free organic coconut yogurt. Hmm. It's, was it me to go? Yeah. Okay, coconut yogurt, going off the last yogurt, this is dairy free.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Hang on, can we have a yogurt? Oh yeah, yeah, we did, so. I'm gonna go for. I'll go for dairy free coconut organic. Oh, damn it, it all sounds good. Huge big hitting names. Two. Oh, geez.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Isn't that a whopping shit topic? It's really easy, don't you? Okay, coming up to the halfway mark now. No, we've got to queue shapes. Quick as you can. I really want to win these. Go for it, you're up. Am I up?
Starting point is 00:39:43 Ah, one and a half. Two. I'm sorry. And you've got a it, you're up. Am I up? One and a half. Two. Sorry. And you've got a big, you came, don't you? I'm just asking you. You're going to lose. You don't like that with you. No, Paso, 12 soft tortilla boats, the stand and stuff boats.
Starting point is 00:40:06 So just the tortilla is in here? Yeah, yeah. Not the seasoning. That's two and a half. Three and a half. They don't play. No. Old El Paso chooses not to play.
Starting point is 00:40:21 We'll never know. Are you sure they don't play? Have a look, they don't play. See if you can follow that. They choose not to play. I think. They have chosen not to play. We'll never know. Are you sure they're not playing? Have a look, they don't play. See if you can follow that. They choose not to play. I think they have chosen not to play everywhere. Which is quite. Quite amazing.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Yep. No sign of them playing at all. Okay. You're going to love what I got coming up for you here. Okay. Okay. Here we go. Coles.
Starting point is 00:40:43 Beer battered steakhouse chips. Yum. Two. chips. Yum. Two. Jack. One. No, no. Four. You would enjoy good health. Should you eat nothing but the four stars? Four stars on a beer battered chips. But maybe you wait, yeah, that's bizarre.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Four stars on a beer battered chips. Who's doing the stars? Who's doing the stars? I don't understand the system. What do we got here? Crinkle cut chips. Well stars on a beer better chips. Who's doing the stars? Who's doing the stars? I don't understand the system. What do we got here? Crinkle cut chips. Well, I would say four again. Four. Four and a half.
Starting point is 00:41:11 The Crinkle ads for hell. Oh, you're not going to eat the cheesecake, are you? I'm Crinkle Cutter. So I made it healthier. The Crinkle somehow, until... Last one. Here we go. Organic blueberries, sorry, just literally freeze dried.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Organic blueberries, how could it be anything but five? Yeah, I guess I'm gonna go for it as to the trick. Yeah, I think it has to be five. Four and a half. The same as Crinkle cut chips. Now you've proved your point. Not for my point, I've been doing this stuff. It's madness.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Everything must go. Home with me. Not the shades. No, well done. But I'll get into it here. Good day, guys. It's Mike here from the show. And just popping in at the end here to remind you all to check out Hey Mission Andes Remembring Project. It is a cool little side project from the show and just popping in at the end here to remind you all to check out Hey Mission Andies
Starting point is 00:42:06 Remembering Project, it is a cool little side project from the boys that comes out every Monday and Tuesday and essentially it's the guys looking back on one day of their nearly 20 year history on radio as well as podcasting and they just essentially just remember moments from the day that they choose. It is it's a lot of fun. It's not just the big moments that the boys are remembering. Often we kind of pick apart some of the smaller more forgotten moments and there are
Starting point is 00:42:39 memories that kind of come up from there. So here's a moment from one of this week's episodes of the Remembrane Project, where the boys talked about a segment they did on the radio days that wasn't exactly memorable. We'll cover, I'm sure, some of the classic memories on this show. But there was a moment in 2007 where we're on the second of April.
Starting point is 00:43:01 We talked to someone called Stacey, who'd served Elmick first in a sandwich. And I thought, well, that's not one that we remember when we're on the second of April. We talked to someone called Stacey, who'd served Elmock first in a sandwich. And I was like, well, that's not one that we remember when we're having a beer. We remember the bigger things, like the trips and the classic moments from radio. But you don't often go, remember that call from... No, I wouldn't have got that.
Starting point is 00:43:17 The good-stated served Elmock first in the sandwich seemed like we were talking to people that had served... A celebrity. A celebrity. That was good for eight minutes of radio. Oh, probably, and then some. Probably a hook across the hour. Oh, yeah, we've got an even bigger celebrity. They could serve the hot chocolate straight after that.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Guess who got a Greek yogurt with some usually in it. Again, that is Hey Mission Andies Remembering Project, a new side project from the boys, Mondays and Tuesdays, wherever you podcast, wherever you listen to the main Hey Mission Andy podcast, you will also find the remembering project there as well. So enjoy and we podcast will return next week. Catch up or contribute at hamishanandie.com.
