Starting point is 00:00:00 A list-n-a-production. Activate your internet. Cause the Haymission and the Podcast starts in 3, 2, sorry, still buffering. 1. One. A Hoi, Toul and Sundry. A Hoi, sir. And, hey, someone asked over him, why we say a Hoi, it is the preferred telephonic greeting.
Starting point is 00:00:33 And actually, it was Alexander Graham Bell's wish. Yeah. For the phone. When they invented the phone, this is back in the radio show days. We invented that we were talking about. This is how he invented the phone. Wait. We used to just say, yeah, send us a letter. 13, 10, 60 is the address.
Starting point is 00:00:49 When they invented the phone, we were reading about the fact that they always had to invent what you say on the phone. And he wanted to say a hoi, because he thought it was to be nice to follow the nautical tradition, and he was overwrought with a low gang. So one of the classic battles of yesterday but as a shout out, ABB. Yep, we are trying to bring back the hoi.
Starting point is 00:01:09 We say a hoi to Robbie as well, who's sent this in. A hoi, hey, Mishin Andy and Jack, I'm just getting started for my day. I'm having pizza for breakfast, and I'm watching Riverdale, the new season, and then I'm going to go out and do some training. So pretty good day all in all. Hope you guys have a good one. Bye. Hey, big time we will. Hands up, his foot she was going to say Riverdale.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Is that many people watching Riverdale's Riverdale? Wow, what is Riverdale? Michael Fletley. If Riverdale's Michael Fletley as's Riverdale's. That's Riverdale's. Riverdale's Michael Flatley as well. He needs to branch out with him. Riverdale. Riverdale. Riverdale sounds like something you'd find on an Netflix
Starting point is 00:01:56 or whatever, but if it sounds more contemporary, I would think than Riverdale's Riverdale's. Hey, let me kick off with this. Betrayals. You're hurtful? think and then Michael Fletley's River Dance. Hey, let me kick off with this. Betrayals, you're hurtful? They suck. They suck. I mean, not the big Betrayals in history, do you think, Julia Caesar? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:16 He got done by Brutus, didn't he? Yeah, he got stabbed in the back many times. In public. Yep. I would say. Because you've got the annoyance of dying. Yes. And the embarrassment of dying publicly. Now at least with a private stabbing, the dignity of a private death. And the guy can stab you and go,
Starting point is 00:02:34 yes. Yes. If you're squealing or yelling or you, you know, you're bound to do something that you're not proud of during the stabbing or just sort of behaving a way that you're accidentally, you know, you're never going to chance to take it back because you're very close to the end, but you know, you probably would squeal or help or do something you want. Poop yourself. Somebody in my mind to be a person too.
Starting point is 00:02:53 And that's the, that's one of the real downsides of I think he was stabbed in the Roman Senate. Senate. Yep. For all to see. That one was a big one. I felt Judas Jesus. Yep, another public one.
Starting point is 00:03:04 One that mentioned, you know, like a public one. I felt Judas and Jesus. Yep, another public one. One that benched, yeah. Yeah, it's a public one. Very public. You and I have been betrayed. Goodbye. Jack. Oh, no. I don't remember the beautiful ones.
Starting point is 00:03:17 The beautiful ones. What about the beautiful ones? I don't remember. You don't remember them. You're gonna get a lion's. And, hey, we talk about, we talk about public ones, public patrols being the worst. This wouldn't have been public.
Starting point is 00:03:27 It's not public, it's not. You'll tell me what it was, I can't remember. Jack, you obviously do another show. Yeah. It's Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show. Yes. Would you mind playing that audio that I just haven't you before?
Starting point is 00:03:40 Okay. Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show, you know, who starts the old Tuesday, fleeing. Oh, it's personal training days. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, that's all the other days of the week. No, it's the return of his real masters. Hey, Mission Andy, I got that podcast to do. But the team of 8,000 people working on it.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Want to carry track in. You guys are my true masters. Get out of here. No. They're shows more like a hobby than I do. Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!
Starting point is 00:04:16 Oh! And that's a public stabbing. That is a pain myself. Exactly what I was scared of. Hey, I took Luke, chapter 22, verse four, and replaced Jack's name with Judas. Right. And, and, and, First time we've had a barber reading on the show.
Starting point is 00:04:36 And I think it's known with Hey, we should Andy. That's right. This is verse four. And Jack went to the chief priest. Christian icon. And discuss with him how he might betray Hey, we should Andy yeah, he was delighted and agreed to give Jack money Jack Consented. Let me ask a quick question here. Do you get money for your show and the breakfast radio? I get paid for all my chief priest.
Starting point is 00:05:01 All the way to Keith Priest. Oh, the plot thickens. How smart the Bible was to see this pattern emerging so early on. Jack consented and watched for an opportunity to hand Hamish and Eddie over to him when no crowd was present, which is not true. He made it very public. He said it's the only part of the barbarity that doesn't quite work out.
Starting point is 00:05:20 But the rest of it, the rest of it, factually spot on, especially the old testament. So Jack, this is her first. I feel like I'm one of the more neutral characters in the Bible. I would like you to pass forward to the next. LAUGHTER And Jack the Grey Man, again, said nothing
Starting point is 00:05:37 for he had not spanked nor would he ever. And both sides. For he was neutral. So spied. For Jack the Grey Man was friend of the devil, and of God. For he had neither friend nor foe. way was neutral. So spied. For Jack the Grayman was friend of the Devil Land of God. For he had neither friend nor foe. He was neutral. I would like you to first want to be in the Bible, Andy,
Starting point is 00:05:52 where the Chris Victions happen. So the portrayals carried through and to see what Jack is doing with us up there being on the... Well, we're on the cross. On the grill, we're on the cross. I've been crucified, I don't know. I know he's been high bed he's been he's been he's been the high priest he's been shaking across to see if any pennies fell out of our tuner probably because he's had his betrayal yeah and he's sweeping in for more so
Starting point is 00:06:16 jack couple of things come of things probably the hobby aspect is uh is hurtful because you know this is a serious. We've got a lot of people here who come every week to make this the very best it can be. Yeah. Also, him in my experience is in hobbies, you pay to do them. Yeah. You don't have to pay. You don't get paid to do a hobby. So if you like us, the four of us to charge you money to come and do this. No, I would still like to see it, even though I enjoy it, like I would enjoy it, hobby. I would still like to see it as a work-based payment system. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:59 So that was hurtful, and I thought there's only one rate to really solve this, and all the great injustices in your life, Jack, you've kind of turned to something, that's been your guitar. You've written an apology song for your mum, for your dad, and I think that's what we need. I think it'd be nice if we could have a song. A song of biblical proportion.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Well, like Judas did in the Bible when he turned up at the cross with his flute and he played Jesus as a son. I'm sorry. I haven't read it for some time and I apologize if I am misquoting it, but it is my recollection he turned up with a flute and played some sort of apology tune. I shall two-tout an apology tune next week. Thank you, Jack. Thank you, Jack. Thank you, Judas.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Jack, Jack, this. JANIMAN, I've got an idea. Some have called it a big proposal. You called it a big proposal. Remind me on the show to do my big proposal. I have a big proposal for the teen. Okay. For all three of us. I have been thinking for a while, wouldn't it be cool if we could
Starting point is 00:08:10 use this podcast, the accountability of this podcast, of stepping on publicly saying we're going to do something, use it for good, because I think if we say we're going to do something with podcasts, we generally do it. Well, that's not true. We're all 30. Maybe if we promise. Just look at the last three times you promise something big. Yeah. It's like a big open-up big fish. Actually big I could be blown back. You know for a fact I went very hard to be a favour with his big and this whole thing. I'm not exactly if he's the guy to have his big balls around getting out of promises. Well why don't we then set the Well, why don't we then do something no one's expecting,
Starting point is 00:08:47 which is make a promise that we follow through on. That'd be the biggest surprise ever. And we kill a few birds with one stone here. Not your hammy of the flock we're gonna get, but we follow through on a promise. We impress the listeners. We all get to do something that we like, and it could be a great way to round out the yet. Just seeing no Jack, these invariably involve something a
Starting point is 00:09:08 home really wants to do. That's too tough. There's a special, there's a special, but there's a debut catcher this one. And you'll get something you want to do too. And he puts it in his big proposal. We can't let everyone down and then he goes for a 10-hour massage or something. He's trying to put a little chin in the alliance. They don't take the bait.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Here's what I think we should do. We all promise each other to gain a skill this year, like to work harder, but we don't reveal the skill to each other. And then at the end of the year, we blow the socks off each other with our skill that we've learned. Okay. Now the skill can be anything. That's option one.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Option two has a higher degree of difficulty. Oh, that was already high. That was high. Option two has a higher degree of excitement. But I don't know how this will work. So this is a bit of a troubleshoot here. Option two is we do the same thing, but one by one now we each leave the studio
Starting point is 00:10:04 and we just say our skill To the listeners and it's a secret and listeners have to not tell us if they see us in person They can't give away the secret. Yeah, I know. I'm with you. We're going for someone writes in about it I'm else in here and like we're not gonna if I go. Oh, yeah, that's fun Everyone's keeping a secret from us for the year. Why, they won't though. They might. No, that's the problem. And then if I find out Jack's trying to learn the DJ, do you do it?
Starting point is 00:10:29 No. Like, if he rolls into next, when he goes, hey, guy, it looks like we're in the air. So I'm gonna be deep. Find out. Keep it to yourself. Or tell me, that could be fun too. And then at the end of the year, Jack goes,
Starting point is 00:10:38 well, my surprise for you guys is I'm learning the DJ, but then we can go, we did, no. We did. Do you know what I mean? Or I wouldn't have been amazing if he, if the whole world can keep it a secret from us. That's the fun. It's like, it's a trust game with the listeners. Can we still then have a week to decide what the skill is before telling the listener?
Starting point is 00:10:59 From today. Yeah. Because we know, I don't want to think, I can't think of mine right now. What skill I want to know. You clearly have yours. Yeah. I actually thought I did think I can't think of mine right now. What skill I want to know you clearly have yours Yeah, I actually thought I did and I can't remember I'm down with the week I've got learner tell you and going round in my head, but it's not bad like that's two-time heavy Yeah, and not long thinking getting my pilots license, but there's a lot of it
Starting point is 00:11:20 I was expected that anyway, they're like checking involved. It was very tricky. Do it though, that a new good one. So I can check you. I'm not interested in this at all. Get your power, Saisons. Not anymore now. No, you went up for one thing. I went up and there was a...
Starting point is 00:11:32 What did you back by? 10 lessons? Yeah, and it's... No way you're doing. Yeah. You wouldn't even do five. Yep. You wouldn't do three.
Starting point is 00:11:40 I don't think you would do another one. Yep. By the way. The thing was it was too checky. You had to do a lot of chills. It was like... Safety checks. Probably with that. 50 minutes of check for do another one. Yep, but the thing was, it was too checky. You had to do a lot of cheers. It was like safety. Safety checks. 50 minutes of checks.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Yeah, I remember when we went on the small aircraft, the guy went around the whole plane, he's gonna look up and down under the carriages. He had a lot of looking, a lot of checking. Anyway, what about, I like the idea, but I feel like two out of the three I'm gonna do. Is there something that we all do together as a secret from the listeners? Like a dance.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Like a dance. Like a dance. Like a dance. Like a dance. Can you handle well? If I didn't run to the music part, I'd be able to get the object dance. Why did this thing we could all do together? because then we can inspire each other to do it. I think I want to do a dance.
Starting point is 00:12:31 See? You don't, mate. Trust me. You don't. I don't. What do you... You don't want to dance. That's why I think it's fun to... All right, imagine we turn up, you know,
Starting point is 00:12:45 five, six, seven weeks from our podcast, and we're like, has your skill going, get good, I'm making some progress. It's kind of fun that we don't know what each other's skill is. Yeah, okay. Rather than going, hey guys, just giving you the update,
Starting point is 00:12:57 30 weeks do we do the dance? It's gonna be like, I'm so much expectation on this dance. It didn't happen to me. It didn't happen to be like, Olympic, I think ceremony had to be, it had to be like Olympic, I think so of an equality, and even then people would be like, well, you had all of you to work on it, so it wasn't a big deal. I strongly recommend against it, Dan. Well, you've been dancing the example.
Starting point is 00:13:17 I wasn't for Jack. It was his calling, and I'm against it. Jack, would you go and dance? He was a star? No, no, I wouldn't, but you know, I've thought it. Jack, would you go and dance? You were the stars? No, no, I wouldn't. But you know, I've thought in the past, you know you went to a party or a wedding or event, and the circle is formed. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:13:32 And you need a cool dance. You need a move to do in the middle. I thought about that during the week as well. Every time I get to that situation, I think, I'm going to learn by this time, but this time I go to a wedding, I'm going to learn something cool to do in the middle. Just 20 seconds of a dance here.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've got the worm, so I'm always on. You can perfect it and don't land on your face. I've only ever done that twice. Yeah. So where are we at? Are we gonna learn a secret skill? Question one.
Starting point is 00:13:59 Question two, do we tell the listeners and not each other in hope that the secret remains a secret? Or do we just learn a secret skill that at the end of the year, we reveal and not each other and hope that the secret remains a secret. Or do we just learn a secret skill that at the end of the year, we reveal it to each other in some sort of pageant format? Jacko. I'm not gonna decide on this today
Starting point is 00:14:18 because unlike everything else we say on this podcast, I want to, if we say we're doing it, I want us to actually do it. Do it properly. Yeah. So, in one week's time, we'll make the decision on the Secret Skill. Yeah. The Secret Skill, but I do like the idea of having a big event in which to unveil it.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Yeah. But we've got to do part one then to have the big event. I know. I'd love the big event. I think that's what I'm a bit I'm getting a bit excited about thinking about the big event and I've done something great I quite see what I know Wasn't a dad you can see them applauding. I can see the cheering What did I do?
Starting point is 00:15:00 Okay, one week Okay, one week. Guys, we late in the year last year, we got a segment called Keep It or Delete It. We realised we're no longer live as Dominion's podcast. Not everything we talk about has to remain in. Not a lousy element of the thing we control. Yeah, I mean, you can listen to the podcast, you know, the quality controls, freshly low, but we still have some standards. Like I imagine people in, you know, tell parts of the world would still have some,
Starting point is 00:15:34 you know, standards if you're running a hotel or something. Yes. Yes. We've been to a $1 or a night hotel in Russia. Yeah. They still had standards. Yeah. I had a door.
Starting point is 00:15:44 They had some, obviously some minimum things they wanted on their hotel I had a door. They had some obviously some minimum things they wanted on their hotel to charge a dollar. And we charged nothing. So obviously I standard's a lower than that. Radio Mike, who works on the show here, sent me an email during the week about a special skill. Right. He said we should do this on the show. To do with Pokemon. Oh, no. So I think he can come in and tell us what it is. We didn't keep it all deleted. Yep. We'll keep it all deleted.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Might come on in. Keep it all deleted. The way to be obviously keep it all deleted works is we are nervous about what's coming up. Famously, my potatoes, my roast potato recipe made it on the show. My golf fact about the president's cup did not.
Starting point is 00:16:28 I never remember what that fact was. But the recipe with the potatoes, give the cubes on giving, especially on Christmas time. Oh please, I got a lot of feedback from people that had tried that recipe and were thankful that it made the podcast. Michael Liberale, welcome. Thank you for having me.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Right, yeah, Mikey Mike. He says, as a Pokemon fan, I can vouch that this would be unbelievably impressive. Wow, well you know, Jack actually do this. Hey, Mon fan. Hey, Pokes. Can I just say when you didn't reply to that email, I assumed we weren't going to be using it. Yeah. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:17:03 You're slowly learning the way, Mike. Jack still falls for this rubbish. He's been with us for 12 years. You, unfortunately, you had landed in Andy's web without knowing it. And he was already wandering down towards you, spilling out some silk to trap you. So, Jack, you also love Pokemon. So this is a... I mean, I grew up loving Pokemon.
Starting point is 00:17:27 I didn't jump on board the Pokemon Go phase when it came out. A classic fan. Well, if we keep this, we'll get this guy into do this. So that's the next level of this. Okay, so Mike explained to everybody what Ben Frost's... So, as a safe, for Keep it Or Delete it, this will be it. This is where it'll stop. Before Mike starts talking.
Starting point is 00:17:49 I thought it'd only stopped right on the intro. Like I thought we're well past where this is be deleted. Do you want me to play it again? Yeah. Okay, from now on. Keep it. Or delete it. So essentially in the video games of Pokemon when you encounter a wild Pokemon in the in the tall grass
Starting point is 00:18:18 And so you walking around trying to stick to the short grass But if you feel adventurous you'll go in the tall grass. Yeah, well most of the grass is tall It's just grass. Yeah, well most of the grass is tall. It's just grass. That's not important. Okay. You said it was capital T capital G, tall grass Tm trademarked.
Starting point is 00:18:32 Each Pokemon that appears, so say a PG appeared. It makes like a cry. Like it makes like, you'd know this. Is that right, Jack? What does a PG's know? Well, I mean, it's a Game Boy game, but it would make a digital like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, so it's like each'd know Is that right Jack what is a PG's noise? Well, I mean it's a Game Boy game But it would make a digital like Brawlip yeah, so it's like each there's over there's probably over 800 Pokemon each one has a unique like
Starting point is 00:18:53 Like what Jack did yeah, and they're like they're so hard to distinguish that's why is it Ben? Yeah, when Ben wrote in I sent it to Andy saying hey look I think this would be really impressive if he could do it. He can identify by sound, by sound what the Pokemon is. Off Game Boy, off whatever the, I don't know, what would it be. Yeah, we just get the sounds and. Better they, I mean, they got better from Game Boy because Game Boy is obviously like an, an, an, an I-9.
Starting point is 00:19:19 I think he's playing it now in a PS4 or something like. I think it's all the sounds. Pokemon's not on PS4. I can't. I'm not trying. You just want to, sure we see this guy. No, obviously PS3.
Starting point is 00:19:31 What would it be on the moon? It's an Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch. Oh, yes. Okay, there we go. Well, so Michael, he'd be doing this. He'd be doing this.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I wish like you burnt me with Nintendo Switch. Yeah. That's beard, by the way. Welcome to the Alliance. LAUGHTER Michael, Ben be doing the original 150 Pokemon or all the new ones. I believe he said he can do up to like, 800, 493.
Starting point is 00:19:55 He did that. Generation 4 of Pokemon. So you get a little taster of what a skill, because this is a skill that Andy and I have zero context for and we can't be impressed by. Do you get a little taster of the skill, can you just act out a little bit what we could expect to see, right? So I'll make the noise, Jack, you just say a Pokemon name and then and then my he say correct or not and then Andy, you go, all right that sounds like something I want to hear, okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:20:24 That's Onyx. Wow, correct, Jack, what the hell? That sounds pretty good. We're ready to do it. Well, we'll have to vote now. You don't get a vote, Mike, but I'll keep it all delayed up. Yeah, are we gonna keep this conversation in the podcast?
Starting point is 00:20:40 And are we going to have him come into try and do it? Not the hell, let's keep it. Jacko? Yeah, I mean, I'm biased because I know the Pokemon and I think I would get a thrill out of it, I keep it. Oh, shit. I was at a bit of that. That's what unanimous, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:20:55 No, it was only two out of... Remember this is the beard boys again, ganging up on me? I didn't see that as a gang up. I was gonna delete that one, but that's okay. Well, Mike, thanks for coming in. Ben, we're all going to be... I'm always happy to appeal to all walks of life, just because, you know, we haven't poked as hard as other moms. I still want to be known that we're the kind of mom who will poke you.
Starting point is 00:21:16 Yeah, well, actually, I think it'll be great. Oh, here we go. LAUGHTER MUSIC Gentlemen, fire be it. I would hate for this podcast to be an area where we just raised gripes with each other. Yep. That's certainly not what this is about.
Starting point is 00:21:38 No. Never has been, never will be. You think you've got to shake them all out over the break. LAUGHTER I don't think we spent time into finding more. I think we might have been half asleep at the right. We don't do our own grape slobbery. Did you read it? Yeah, we've got, we've all come miss you
Starting point is 00:21:54 with a bucket of gripes. It's not a huge one for me, but it's a little behavior I'd love to stop. Okay. Jacko, I've got here a screenshot of an example message between Andy and I. Yeah. Can you read the small print, the Apple generated small print under the text message,
Starting point is 00:22:14 he sent me that starts with your legend. It's not because of them. It says your, it was about, we've done it. Your legend, the body and love that thanks, mate. Sent with Siri. Sent with Siri. Send with the Siri. So Annie and I were in the middle of what I thought was two friends talking to each other
Starting point is 00:22:35 about a charity day that Annie had organized. I'd helped out a little bit and Annie was doing some stuff for charity. I had, oh there's a little bit of Lego stuff and I thought we were talking about, well that was great, well done, day went well, I wasn't talking to my friend, I was talking to a computer assistant, but my friend had decided was good enough to talk to me because he was busy. So Andy is now thinking, he's okay with this.
Starting point is 00:23:03 I know, I know, you didn't. Andy now thinks it's okay to send messages, to just get Siri to deal with me. Because he's busy doing other things. This is a huge low. This is a huge low in our relationship. I was driving and my car said, your message came in and I said, I said, would you like to reply?
Starting point is 00:23:25 And I went, yeah, great. And so, then I just said it and it read it back to me what I had said and said, would you like to send? And I said, yes, it was the first time that I had experienced that. I now use it all the time. I knew everyone knows that you're using Siri to do your dirty work.
Starting point is 00:23:39 How long until there's no? Have you seen, I've sent you a few voice sectivated texts that you get the sent by Siri symbol as well? Or, she's saying no. a lot until there's no have you seen I've sent you a few voice activated texts that you get the set by Siri symbol as well or she's saying no. No she probably doesn't hurt as much because not a childhood friend. So my one to now is am I friends with Andy or are my friends with Andy's computer assistant who sometimes tells Andy what I've been saying to him. Look, I know that... You've invited a computer into the bedroom.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Ah! There's a third party in this relationship that I didn't know was joining us. Yes. And you're in there. I think to give Andy the benefit of the doubt, he does conduct all his phone calls, at least with me, from the car. He does. I've never spoken to him on the phone
Starting point is 00:24:20 when he's not been driving. I suddenly called you from my bedroom. Have you? Yeah, that's nice. I didn not been driving. I suddenly called you from my bedroom. Have you? That's nice, I didn't know that. Be it boys. Be it boys. So it doesn't surprise me that he's trying to knock it off. And the car is like Air Force One.
Starting point is 00:24:33 It's not a leisure vehicle, he's doing work. He's doing work in transit all the time. No one's gonna be happier with self-driving vehicles than him. Absolutely. He probably take two computers in there with him. But take two computers in there with him. But take two computers in a putting machine. So he can do it for Philly's Wall Street fantasies.
Starting point is 00:24:50 You're right, but the problem is, he's my other question for the group. I have Siri on my phone. I just really use her for conversions, pounds to kilos, and sometimes mostly back in the day for Jack's interest, I'd ask Siri what Bitcoin's trading at, because I was interested to see how wealthy Kilos and sometimes mostly back in the day for jacks out of jacks interest I'd ask Siri what Bitcoin's trading at because I was interested to see how wealthy or not Jack was that day So for me she's a glorified cocoa, but I understand that for you. She's a very good friend
Starting point is 00:25:15 She probably you probably hang out with her more than yes me now She's a better friend to you than I am Is it the same here's my question for the group. A bit more of a metaphysical one. Like, is the Siri I talked to? Does she live on my phone and Andes? Or are they different stories? I think they, I think she lives,
Starting point is 00:25:32 I like to think she's on my phone. Right. Well, she knows. Siri's calling me. She knows what you like. I like it. But is she spying on me and telling you? Well, if she knew, to be honest, if she knew what was right, she wouldn't have told you that it was sent by
Starting point is 00:25:52 her. So, the angry it's her. I am. I'm very angry with it because I don't want her telling people that I've said it. Not want to be in the car this evening, do you? Maybe absolutely tased megabytes of Siri on the way home. All right, she can hear you. Hey, I'm loyalty card update. Over 5,000 last time I checked. Yeah, people. What is there, man? Yep. Like Joe Beckes, I'm just going to read. Yeah, people. Yeah. Like Joe Bickers. I'm just going to. Yeah, I love it. We said all night just reading people's applications for Lordy Cards. Looking forward to employee of the month for me with all the money I'm going to be making
Starting point is 00:26:35 for my business. He's a business. Long no, so for the business he works for. Obviously, he's getting the 5% back. He expects he's boss to be delighted. She's, you turning your cost sheet to your boss and it's down a big far of, and he goes, how are you doing this? Would he get this card in the company name or in his personal name? Because, oh, he's on behalf of the business, he's saying.
Starting point is 00:26:59 He's just representing them. But you know how that's that thing with like, freaking fly points, we like it. Is it a company card or is it a personal card? Well, he did get a cop. Would we do a hamständic corporate? Oh, the like art. I wonder whether there's a frequent fly
Starting point is 00:27:13 available that would want to team up with our card. Yeah, they're down the track. They're down the track. Because I've got some bad news on the logistics front. I doubt it. So what, what were you hoping we'd be able to land a card? Oh, deliver the card. I've got the card looking great.
Starting point is 00:27:33 We need to discuss the graphics and the copy, but just as far as the card, I think the card personally named everyone will have their own number. Just showed me a markup of the card. Yeah, yeah. Looks great. Yeah. But whatever it takes is basically the budget here, I think. I think to get deals in. What do you think would be reasonable?
Starting point is 00:27:50 Whatever it takes. Where would you hope it lands? Throw a number at me and add a dollar, because that's what it takes. Whatever it takes, to get our listeners, the deals they deserve, globally, worldwide, with the card the stores love. I don't think you would have a price on that we have they have a couple of companies have what and what is that price three dollars ten per car the yeah so at the moment we've got over five thousand people people. That's 15 grand. I hear that. That we're up for.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Isn't it crazy though, within the first saving? If we flash the card back at them, obviously, we save $750. But isn't it crazy that for people for $3 so cheap? So cheap. Well, people's first deal they get, they will probably make more than $3. Yeah, but are you suggesting people have to pay for it?
Starting point is 00:28:43 No, I'm just saying, we're shouting them. I hope that these cars are on that. These cars are on that. Can we put our cap on how many loyalty cards we give out? Because I just need to know for our... Because this comes from our joint account. Yeah. Which I've never had a problem with.
Starting point is 00:28:55 No, I don't. Money in, money out. The world keeps spinning, baby. The account, she rise, she fall. Yeah, but thankfully... You tip of the money in. I take of the money out like the time I do anything like the times as the money ebbs and flows thankfully I do keep a slightly closer right the moon the moon always try to affect the times
Starting point is 00:29:15 the money moon but holding the time it allows it allows us to continue to do this stuff isn't that fun yeah I so he's a couple of suggestions I have. Yeah. Yeah. Again, you can carbosh in here, please. Yeah. Would we have the card sponsored by a company? I think that's dirty.
Starting point is 00:29:35 It doesn't come, they're logo, is not on our card, but we add another card in there that says, the loyalty card is bought to you by, do you, we're sending people out two cards? Two cards. One is just in there that says the loyalty card is brought to you by Do you we're sending people out two cards two cards one is just a card that says once a little mini billboard. Yeah Feels dirty. It does feel a bit dirty It feels like take it feels like feels like corporate. Yes, interest. Yes, because it like let's say mac a sponsor Yeah, which they probably would. It'd be mad not to. You know, monopoly be a little shitty. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Because then they would become the second biggest thing of the, yes, that's not our problem. You do with it McDonald's. But you can, but don't you think then if someone goes to use it at KFC, they'll feel a bit guilty? Well, that's up to them maybe, but again, it seems like it's sick. It's like it's a separate, it's thanks to Matt. It's a separate leaflet.
Starting point is 00:30:25 What's your other ideas? Capping the amount of loyalty cards we can have. So like, say if we go cap it at, what do you think we might get to? 10, 15, 20, thousand people. Cap it at 10. Cap it at 10. I suppose in that sense then, it's a win. It's a collectible.
Starting point is 00:30:43 I suppose it rewards the people that are up most up to date on the podcast. Yeah. But it's a win, it's a collectible. I suppose it rewards the people that are up most up to date on the podcast. Yeah, but it's not really, it rewards us. But it's not really rewarding loyalty. Like, some people may have been with us for ages and are not quite get around filling in the details. What about this? Capital 10, a further 1000.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Yeah. If you, but it will be difficult to get, yeah, that next 1000. So there's the other thing for the super loyal people that's slow. That's the stand that's to send it out direct to everybody on postage. Yeah, the postage. That's the problem. Well, postage cost. Well, that's on Julie's desk. That's why I asked I said we're gonna take it up to the old radio station. We could get that magic. Yeah that I put stuff on that then it just goes use some intern here to use the radio station because we were maybe maybe the intern, you know, sometimes interns, I don't know, you know, I hate to generalize.
Starting point is 00:31:35 Sometimes they come from wealthy families because they've got just time to go and do work experience and they've got some connection to maybe that's maybe mum and dad Craig Cudd. They'd like to shout us. Yeah. Shout us so we can shout the people. So, okay, well, shall I look, but do you really,
Starting point is 00:31:52 do you know those that 15,000 bits of male going out? We're going to get caught. Julie's not, Julie's going to. Yeah. We could sure shank it like five at a time. Five at a time. That's thousands of days. Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Right. So we've got two big issues here. Yeah. Cost and mailing. Yeah. My wife's got a warehouse. But I can't, that'll be... The envelopes got priced in at like 20 cents an envelope.
Starting point is 00:32:16 No, but they're shipping go to out all every eight minutes. Yeah, right. 15,000 would raise. That's a special point. Yeah, 15,000 flat envelopes because they send out skincare bulky goods. You know what? The cost at the moment per card is for a they quoted on a thousand cards idiots. We're obviously going to have. So let me go back. Sharp in the pants. We go back and have a little chat. Who's the company? Don't say their
Starting point is 00:32:38 name because we could use that. They maybe they they become the heroes. I'll come back to you with that. that's a great idea. Maybe Australian cards express or whatever we come the heroes. That could have been their competitor. Quickly buy that domain name. Like, we'll wear that. What about we wear their hats?
Starting point is 00:32:55 What, for how long? Two shows. Yeah, okay. Their hats for two shows. That's huge for them. Yep, they might not even have a hat. Would we make a hat up for them? Sure, yeah, we can do that. Okay. What about on even have a hat. Would we make a hat up for the... Sure.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Yeah, we can do that. Okay. What about on these hats? I feel more comfortable wearing the hat than sending it something out with the card. Yeah, I agree. I didn't start. Why don't you sniff around with the hat offer? Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:15 And see if anyone buys for the hat deal? Why don't I start with their card company? You start with them. And if they don't, you're interested in the hat. You might hit a brick wall. They might not have a progressive marketing department. Yes. But then have a sniff around. I'll wear anyone's hat for two weeks, you're interested in the hand. You might hit a brick wall though, might not have a progressive marketing department. Yes, but then have a sniff around, I'll wear anyone's hat for two weeks.
Starting point is 00:33:28 If they give us the cards. Right. That's how you do business. That's fine. The best way to do business is to get a new one. And sometimes comes across my side of the email fence that's got my attention. I think we'll get your attention as well.
Starting point is 00:33:42 And Jack, you too, it's something everyone can relate to. It's got my attention. I think we'll get your attention as well and Jack you too. It's a Something everyone can relate to it's a special skill It's by young man named him And if he lived a great question, I just outside Melbourne. So the bar is lower. Yeah, no No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no Anz Dalton. No, just having a bit of fun there. For anyone that does live if there's such a road in reservoir. Here's the thing, it's to do with showers. He says, very simply, I can get the temperature of any shower right in a very quick amount of time. Oh, he joins us now.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Tim, oh, how are you? How are you, gentlemen? How are we? Great skill to have. Very good skill to have. Are you sure this is compatible? Our first question, I think everyone's first question would be, how do you know this is compatible against across all different varieties of showers?
Starting point is 00:34:36 Well, I mean, I'll start with, I haven't showered in many showers recently, in different showers. However, yeah, I've showered in many different showers in my time. And just consecutively, just get it pretty quickly. Yeah, yeah, great. Yeah, back in your single days, when you had a couple of, you know, overnight stays different people's houses, you're saying to him? Yeah, that's about right. Yeah, come out of the girl goes, do you know, was quick? Well, no, no temperature time. No, kind of by a minute. So I would judge that a very, that an accurate or a quick and impressive amount of adjusting
Starting point is 00:35:15 is, you know, one adjustment and you've got it immediately, you know. Yeah. But the problem with a lot of showers is you find your range finding there's obviously the lag from the hot cold actually. Yeah, that was going to be, that was going to be a point of mind at those, but it depends on the hot water system and how old it is and how new it is. Tim, what about how many knobs do you like?
Starting point is 00:35:32 Do you like a hot and a cold? Are you happy with this? The newer mixer where you can just rotate it? No, I'm pretty versatile. I can either go one, no, two knobs. Yep, good man. Good, good, good, obviously. I think we're going to throw this good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, Everything though, the right temperature is a very subjective thing. Are we gonna measure it with a thermometer?
Starting point is 00:36:07 Or I imagine for the shower call, we'll need yourself or myself Andy, in the shower. Yeah. Going, no, no, no, no, no, out too hot to your hot to your cold. Or just wrong, wrong, I mean, maybe we don't even say too hot to your cold. We just say, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, right. Okay, no.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Until it feels good. I was thinking more. A thermometer. No, I wrong, wrong, right? Right. OK, no. Until it feels good. I was thinking more. At the moment. No, I was thinking more, Tim goes in. But he can lie. No, but so Tim goes in, he sets it. But he's got, say, 10 seconds.
Starting point is 00:36:35 Is that a long enough? 15 seconds. What do you reckon? What do you think Tim? What do you reckon the realm is? I think well, I feel like I could quite easily lie and just be there sculpting and then say no that's okay You haven't heard the second part to him that's oh I So team how many seconds?
Starting point is 00:36:53 I'd say anywhere between 20 and 30 depending on the system that I'm using yet 25 seconds Yeah, it's impressive I don't know how it seems just low doesn't it? Yeah, is that impressive? I don't know. I'm not sure how far it's been. It's been just low, doesn't it? I guess I'm allowing for the worst case scenario. We're bad shower. I've like, take the long time for it to heat up.
Starting point is 00:37:13 You've got to think about some showers. You turn the heat on and you stand there for 20 seconds. Just waiting for the heat to come on. Yeah, but what you guys could do is I'll be on the hot water going, flowing. That's exactly what I was thinking. I went quite for a little while there because I was timing out some seconds. And I think 15 seconds, if anyone's got a stopwatch on or an adolog watch with a second hand, you'll be surprised how long 15 seconds is it?
Starting point is 00:37:36 Oh yeah. After that, it wouldn't be that impressive to see someone get the temperature right. I actually think 10 to 15 seconds is as much as you would ever give someone to impress you. And I think we could do what Jack's saying. We run the hot water first for a while. So it is. So the jack, very clever.
Starting point is 00:37:53 So we could go, well, join idea. He's what I'm thinking, eh? Tim, we get the shower up to speed to match conditions. Right? Then turn everything off. Turn everything off and scramble it potentially. You've got to look like you've been, if it's a one tap swivel up,
Starting point is 00:38:15 you know, we might switch it in a certain way. Nice. Then Tim goes, and he gets his 10 seconds. Yeah, I think it's gonna be 10. You or I, I don't mind who, but is standing by to have the shower straight after. We jump in at 10 and we go, this is right. Yeah, that's it.
Starting point is 00:38:32 So there's a person that stands by, if it's if it's scolding, he'll burn us and then he'll lose. But otherwise, we just jump in or one of us just jumps in and goes, that's right, he's done it. And then we move on to the next one. If you get three in a row, which is a temperature that I'd be happy to share out without adjusting the nozzle,
Starting point is 00:38:51 do we, I think that's fair. I think we're very, very close. Do the tricky thing is people like, showers at different temperatures. I myself like a warm shower. My wife likes it at approximately 150 degrees Celsius. Yes, I can take that into consideration. But I think there is a gender...
Starting point is 00:39:08 We don't like stereotypes on this show. We hate them. We hate them, but usually, wives, girlfriends, they will like a shower to be... To burn off the dirt for some reason. A roundabout just under the temperature that would melt the porcelain in the shower. I've also noticed that, and I did this test at Beck, it's like the extra height that the shower loses so much temperature as the water drops.
Starting point is 00:39:33 So Beck being shorter than me and Zo being shorter than you. No, I've done the test, it comes out, I mean, it's, yeah. It's phenomenal. I've put my head down at her level. It's still hot and right. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, Tim, how tall are you, Tim? About 177, I think, 177 centimeters.
Starting point is 00:39:51 Okay. I reckon Tim knows the right level for a standard male. Yeah, okay, that's fair enough. My question to you was, do whoever's doing it, you or me, do we have a shower first? We set it to a temperature. We like we go Tim. This is the temperature I like.
Starting point is 00:40:08 It's then his job to recreate that temperature on all the other showers we go to. Oh, okay. That's interesting. So he's custom making it for us. That's very interesting. Can you do that Tim? I mean, I give it a red hot crack.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Yeah, not totally not too hot. Oh, a little boy about that cold tap. That sounds great then. Okay, we take him to a shower. A neutral shower. We hop in, we go, we have as much time as we want, because we're not the sous-beer powers. We just, we go, that's nice. Tim, get a feel of this. That's the temperature I want my showers to be. He's then got to recreate that temperature and all the other showers. Love it. Do you want to be our test case every time then, Han?
Starting point is 00:40:49 I'll jump in. You want me to jump in? No, you go, you be the showerer. Yep. I'll be the official and Tim, you obviously the competitor. And all three showers, I think, is a coin. I don't think, yeah, if it's just two, I don't think it's going to gonna be enough. Is that fair Tim? I think that's pretty fair, yeah. Look forward to seeing you soon my friend. Fantastic, thank you gentlemen. Very good, very good.
