Starting point is 00:00:00 A list-nuff production. Activate your internet. Cos the Hamish and the podcast starts in 3, 2, sorry, still buffering. 1. Ahoi to me, Seeker! Hamish! I seek you out and I'll hoyd you back. A hoydemi beta. Don't tell me we're playing Quidditch. We are on our broomsticks in the Harry Potter universe. Seeking an exit. Seeking an exit. Well, in a way that is how the secret plays.
Starting point is 00:00:45 As soon as he catches the... Oh, it's pitch. The sneer's fraud on, yeah, hit the game. Well, I'm putting now no enough about Harry Potter having read it through half the series before my son lost interest. I know enough that Harry was the seeker. And of course, the Grimsley twins were the beaters. Where they? I was going to be a keeper.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Who would that make me? Yeah, it's like a goalkeeper same sort of no Where the group who are the twins that were the beat the weasley's weasley that's them are they afraid and George? Yeah, yep that makes so much more sense because I'd mind if he's obviously friend George and people will always go Weasley Oh no jack It's pronounced weasel Yeah, that is did they know that when they were going to name the second one friends the second one?
Starting point is 00:01:40 No, they didn't oh well. I assume they like they would have I mean it's a popular franchise, but maybe like me, zero interest. I assume there would be three history of a lot of Fred and George pairing, like, you know, explorers or something, you know, there'd be a common, you know, there's probably like, you know, cricket players that were a classic Fred and George combo. No, but we're all thinking of the Wii series when we think Fred and George now. Not too confused with the Wii's all twins in Harry Potter who are always apropos of nothing mentioning cloak brands or broomstick brands Harry did get his nimbus 2000 for free
Starting point is 00:02:20 God gifted it though didn't he? He did. He got gifted and they didn't know who was from And then it turned out to be someone who I forget. So lucky, lucky if it happened, if you're interested in getting the franchise, no risk of spoils from me here. I'm also a hoarded Tom from London. Hey boys, it's Tom here from London with a quick update on the large Hadron Collider
Starting point is 00:02:42 or LHC as the SPs know it. Unfortunately, the program was shut down over COVID, but we are back in business with some pretty exciting news. They've managed to connect to a parallel universe where you can upload your message to the Hamish and Andy website from WhatsApp. So that's where I'm sending this message from. Anyway, love what you do and keep it up. See ya. Wow. For once, it happened fast. There will never be a WhatsApp mark my words.
Starting point is 00:03:11 It's an easy to use system with hamishney.com where you just don't like it. It's obviously nice to dream about a world where there's no troubles and there's no hassle. And that's what the whole concept of parallel universe is is. It's nice to know somewhere along the timeline. Someone's not having a hassle of going,
Starting point is 00:03:29 God, this is the 900th thing I've clicked on. When do I just get to the upload? I got a VBAL from the people at Rock that make our website do a great job saying, sorry, is there problems with the uploading audio? We can't see it from our windows. Can't see it because the files are still loading from prehistoric times. If the list is everything to go by, if that ad team working away at it,
Starting point is 00:03:50 because they keep seeing Ebus come. We just had someone deliver a stone to have it to the door because it's faster. No, everything's working fine. Hey, we've got to move on because guess what? Today's an episode we promised. We did promise it. What did you say to Peter out? It felt like a Peter out, even when I said it, to go, do we do a full show? Or almost a full show where every single thing
Starting point is 00:04:14 is simply dedicated to the incredible concept of people that have sensitive mouths. And oh, it is with great pleasure. We announce this is not a Peter. Mouths. We've all got them. Little caves near the bottom of our heads with two rows of these planks, like tiny flat human tusks arranged in rows. And a big wet slug thing that's actually a muscle used to make word noises and help with swelling. But there's something else in there. Nerves. Bloody small but responsible
Starting point is 00:05:01 for sensitivity. The house sensitivity mount. The sensuous, the level of sensitivity and mouths has gone ignored by every podcast ever. Do we have a sensitive mouth shut until one show? Now, my fear of the show being too sensitive mouth heavy is receding now that you hear how good they are. Welcome to the Hay Mission Andy podcast special edition on sensitive mountain. I haven't actually heard that all put together outstanding. I always let you down. I'm not on the road, I'm Dassy.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Well, I'm Rod, who's our deep voice extraordinaire. I think there was a fair bit of ANSR. Is that what it's called? ASMR? What is that? In there, the like the like real high definition. Yeah, close up mic, audio of people's mouth sounds like that. And like sound effects.
Starting point is 00:05:58 I'm not gonna say I got turned, I think it turned on. I mean, I remain, but your time was wet. Well, not my habit, I was was doing something to me that level of what for great content. How are you guys at that? Appetite for great content. Yes, I'm hot for good content. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:12 I don't think ASMR is always sexual hate. I think it can be intriguing. What? It's me thinking of a good cover. You said you wanted the reins for sensitive mouths, so it's a bit of that. First up, Andy, we do have some of the things we promised for the sensitive mouths. Is there any got that feel, doesn't it? Oh, remember the sensitive mouths episode?
Starting point is 00:06:35 It does feel like a historic podcast episode. We know we've got coming up the Noodle length, spaghetti length, sensitive mouth. We know we've got the milk expiration. Yeah, but you can taste it now. You know when it's a good go to expire. I mean, that's good. Talk about it. But before that, him, before that,
Starting point is 00:06:53 and we took it as another, there's something else. We've already done, we've already done something. We put it in the bank for sensitive mouths. And it was off the back of an email by a young man called John. And he emailed the show and he said, listen, I'm disappointed to be writing this. And I think he knows it's, it was disappointing for us to hear because we're a fan of Nandos. Yes. Not through any sponsorship reasons, although that certainly has influenced in the past.
Starting point is 00:07:17 I mean, I can't say, we had our track records. Yeah, I can't say our track records completely clean of free Nandos, but at the moment, unfortunately, we find ourselves in the position where we are paying for retail. But it doesn't matter, but we still maintain our stance as being pro Nandos, certainly Nandos friendly. And this is a bit of a food scoop. He explained that he also is Nandos friendly and he loves the chips. He loves the periperi salt, which is the red dust they sprinkle on.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Like myself, actually choose not to have it I understand that's a minority choice. And I tend to like it. And that's the good thing about flavours. They are subjective. As we often say, some horses like mancalls, some horses like dessert, horses for courses. Jack, I'm not sure where you stand. I do also get the Perry Perry dusting. Yeah, he's in my panic. There's a horse that enjoys Andre.
Starting point is 00:08:18 So however you stand on it, the Nando's realized this. Look, we've got a product here. We've got to spring assault thing that people like. And they started selling it individually. You can mount the counter off and you can buy the mayo, you can buy the chip tip, you can buy the periperry salt. So he bought this and he said, sometimes later he ordered some Nando's chips. They had the spring clean of salt on them,
Starting point is 00:08:35 but it was an unsatisfactory level. He opened the bag and he went, there's just nowhere near enough. Like when you get a low dusting of the red stuff in barbecue shapes. So he went, well, great news. I've got my own backup. I don't know if it was in an ankle holster or whatever it was like, I've got my own backup
Starting point is 00:08:50 salt. I will chuck this on. Put it on me. This is backup salt purchased from NANDO's. Of course. Claiming to be the exact same dusting. That's the same dusting just sold in a commercial, well, in a consumer quantity, but you know, a condensed level.
Starting point is 00:09:06 So he goes, he's taking it, he's used his own jar, he's, he's put him the same amount on that you would get at the store to fill in the gaps. And he said, it's only when I compared the store dusted chips to my own did I realize the paroperry salt that they're selling tastes vastly different to the store salt that they use. It is much for caps, worse. Wow. You should know. Food's good. John.
Starting point is 00:09:30 So we, so we obviously, we took this on board and we went, okay, what is our rule on the show? You do the experiment. You do the experiment. We decided great news. It's kind of, we all feel hungry anyway. So, it's also a great time to do the experiment. Let's get the recording gear.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Let's go to Nandos. Undercover. Of course, undercover. And let's pull a sting on them, see if this is true. All right, we are in the back of Nandos. Very rarely do you come back of the store without ordering. This is good, so fun. No one expects a thing.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Little do they know we're about to blow this place wide open. So you're leading this operation? I will get plane chips. Okay. Andy, you get peri-peri chips. The in-house peri-peri chips. Tell them to get. And you use your men up. Not too much, not too little.
Starting point is 00:10:22 And Jack comes in and you buy the salt. Okay, and that's something that's already packaged up that they sell. We'll have to look at him and look, but I think you can buy it separately. Okay. Oh, is it on the shelf? Well, it's a jack so it's like a candle, like in a store. I think so. Well, the store. Because we don't want to just dust some of the periperentillal back. This is in a separate container. So tell him they don't want looking to take it home for a barbecue in the future. Yes. Okay. Yeah. It's the pre-package stuff that we're testing against the in-storp area peri-sees. Okay. Good luck everyone. Okay. Good luck. Today we're approaching the candy here.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Can you see any of this serious seasoning? Oh, there's an front count of the sauce. Oh, oh, oh, yes. It's fair, Jack. It's fair, Jack. It's fair. It's fair. Don't get the sauce. Just because the sauce. Okay. Getting it now. Okay. He's got it. Jack's got it. There was only one left, so people are actually going up. Yeah. So the claim is this is nothing like the one that they put on the regular chips. Okay, don't jump star. Yes. He might have let you buy it if you know his or her. You know, my mom made a similar clay against the pancake fella.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Oh, I'll bet the Lord. Where are... Hello, sir. Very good. Just one plain chips for me. No very, very salt for me. What is it? Just taste. Regular size, please. That's all.
Starting point is 00:11:42 And may I please have a regular chips as well but you've the in-house usual seasoning you put on. That's the normal peri peri for this man and no peri peri for me. And don't turn that on too little just the normal amount. Okay thank you. And Jackie have some of your life to find. I would like to purchase this peri peri salt to take home and use an above a cube for a lake today. just this puri puri salt to take home and use at a barbecue for a lake to day. So that's 34. Fantastic. This can be OK.
Starting point is 00:12:11 That's so much more like bigger than that. Yes. Are we going to eat here? We might. We're not doing a test. And we might eat here. We're going to eat it at the back. Out of sight.
Starting point is 00:12:23 You do that table right around the back. I'll eat my salted home later. Oh, yes, of course he's taking that away. So there's no need to be suspicious there. Terrific. And Matt, they have a receipt. X-man will be seeing this. This is good.
Starting point is 00:12:35 It's good. I don't think he's suspecting things. Now this is good. Oh, it's good. The prepuckaged, prepared, salted, bought has plastic around it. Should I go into the bathroom. Now this is good. Oh, it's good. The prepuckaged Prairie Prairie Salt I bought has plastic around it. Should I go into the bathroom to open this? So we can just do it now, we'll keep a lookout.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Yeah, okay. If he catches us, then the whole thing's doing it. No, no, no, no. If you're not allowed to eat it, close to the other salt, people will know. Uh, you know, we're in the clear, in the clear, Jack goes, and she says, right.
Starting point is 00:13:02 Read the back, Jack. Read what it claims. Perry Perry's salt. Sprinkle all over chips to create the taste. You know and love. You don't love our restaurant. At home. Use as you would use regular salt, tab flavors to potato, salad, or even popcorn.
Starting point is 00:13:20 That's for an extra dash of Perry Perry tingle. With no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no and no I think the next hard thing for us is to get the exact same amount. Yes, on both chips. You love Periperi salt. Why don't you just smell it before we get our chips and give us some preliminary nose readings. Too hard to say. Would you agree? I thought the same thing. I can't tell you to sniff yourself.
Starting point is 00:13:59 I think there's too much for a break up. I smell from the laundry. Keeps pink. We're not a funny, we're not a funny ship. I think they could have just been made. I think there's too much for a break up. I smell from the laundry. Oh, I'm so happy. We're not a funny, last issue. I think that I'm going to just be a big, I think. I reckon if you go right up to the top and you'd have to go to their headquarters here, and I think it's actually in South Africa.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Not Portugal, is you to see really falling that open as well? That will kind of up the pub through me the other way. If First Nando's doing South Africa, anyway, if you go right to the top, into our Africa, you might find that the prick is the cheapest ingredient in Peri Peri. That's why a couple of them are going.
Starting point is 00:14:35 If we just turn it up by a few percent, we save nearly an ounce. Well, it's got salt and 40 percent, spices, including African birds, I'd chili, Dextrous, which is corn. Yeast extra, I don't think they've got the beaker in it. Oh, they've got the beaker. Oh, they've got the beaker. They've been smelling that again and tell me
Starting point is 00:14:52 they don't know appropriate. They're telling me there's no appropriate. It doesn't say it on the side. It's just tumeric in there. Is that what you're thinking? I don't think it's tumeric, I'm smelling. What's the red bit? Well, it could be the anti-caking agent.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Just like mummies today. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:13 I don't know. I don't know. Oh, look a lot of Jens. Thank you. Look at you. It's heavy actually. He's heavy. He's heavy.
Starting point is 00:15:23 He's heavy. He's heavy. He's heavy. He's heavy. Okay, so we've got one in-store dusting. Yep. And now I'm using my take home pack to salt to the same level. You say when? It doesn't already look different. Is it just me or is the take home pack lighter? No, maybe it's with the density. Oh, anybody's similar. Stop. You reckon? I think a little bit more of the take home pack. Keep going, you reckon? This thing's like too much. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Whoa. Whoa. All right. I guess we just send one of these down. Do you eat the in store first? Does it matter? Well, you're a man. Now we just, how are we just working it
Starting point is 00:16:00 whether they taste the same? Yeah, I know, but you're mouth-to-go. This is all right. What I know I'm love. That's why I know but you're mouth-to-go this is all right. What I know I'm love. That's why I know I love. I thought it was. I think you're right. Check point one achieved.
Starting point is 00:16:15 But this is the tricky part. One. Do you love a nice second chip? What? Yes, we don't know. Okay, here we go. Mmm. Now it's just a lot of hot.
Starting point is 00:16:35 It seems like I've just got a lot of hot in a sunlight. I'm not in a position to say because I never get very, very easy. So I don't, I neither know it nor love it. I clearly don't love it because I don't get it, because I don't get it, I don't know it. They're pretty similar. I think they're almost the same. They might be.
Starting point is 00:16:58 They're the same. Absolutely. Absolutely the same. I do look the same. I think it was just the amount of dust. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, pretty close to a scandal, though. Yeah, pretty close.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Now, what do we do? I might get a moose. Yeah. A moose. You think if it's a moose I know and love, let's pop some moose and get out of here. And, oh, so I've just tried too excited. Well, sensitive mouths addition. It is sensitive mouths and we're up to another, this is another chapter in the sensitive mouth's tale.
Starting point is 00:17:35 A young man joins us. If you've heard the previous episode, you'd know exactly who we're talking about. Lewis, welcome. How are you, sir? I'm very good. Oh, how are you, buddy? You wrote, I can detect through taste the loan, how long milk has until it expires. Correct. How much milk, how much just straight milk are you knocking back?
Starting point is 00:17:55 Oh, two liters a week or so. Yeah, it's cut down a little bit, a little bit. We're just having conversation before off air about, you know, some kids are just a cup of milk, kind of kids. Jack was a cup of milk before bed. Yeah, on special occasions, we could have nest quick or mylo mixed in, but you could hold it in milk. When the sugar intake was allowed to bump up a bit. And I know you're a glass of milk. I was a glass of milk. Yeah, I got weaned off the glass of milk. But are you still just I'm a milkshake container like the big metal ones just a straight milk. Yeah, just straight milk. What's your favorite milk you've ever drink drunk?
Starting point is 00:18:34 I mean, you might have a delicious milk, you know, like fresh from a cow and you seal and just I've been and Tazzy and had fresh milk there. I haven't. Oh, you got it. Well, Lewis, before you sits five glasses, the DeGa station, they all contain full cream milk, which is exactly what you asked for. Great, fantastic. Yeah. They are a mix of different expiry dates. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:02 And the job will be for you, as it sits in front of you, to taste one and tell us how many days until it goes off. Correct. Yeah. That worked for you. When it goes tea to carton, when the milk comes out of the cow goes in the carton, goes onto the shelf. So it goes onto the shelf that day that was out of the cow. How long does it usually have left? I have absolutely no clue. Really? Yeah. So you. But for when it hits a supermarket, you would know. Yes. How long? Usually like two weeks approximately. Okay. So you've got it within 14 days. It's pretty much what. Yeah. We haven't served up any. We should say this. We're not trying to kill you. We haven't served up any of the people. Because that we've
Starting point is 00:19:38 haven't recovered from last year. Nor is there any UHT milk, which is in infinity expiry date. Now these are all like fresh milks. It was sort of a mast over the last kind of week or so. We're gonna give you a day either side. Okay. Okay. So for an example, if it's two days until expiry, you say one or three, you get the win,
Starting point is 00:19:57 but you will need four out of five. And I'm gonna call in. And I'm gonna add something and I'm okay. Since it's, you've got five shots here and we do have a day of the side and the number the guess is going to usually be in the zero to I don't know I'm 40 14 day range I'd like one to land exact Okay, okay, any of your pick any of your choosing but I would like one to land exact Lewis are you ready? I'm ready. Let's get into it
Starting point is 00:20:22 His milk taste brings all the boys to the yard. His mouth more sensitive than yours. Damn right more sensitive than yours. Is it old milk? He'll make that call. OK, Khalish, boy, you're there. I'm used to be the best look there for a voice. I can only help you.
Starting point is 00:20:39 I was just add to you clearly riding on your motorbike. Would you go, friend? I think I'll go, friend. Is she your girlfriend, no? Kendall? Nope. No, just a friend, okay? Never met her before.
Starting point is 00:20:50 Sorry, I'm not kidding. Sorry, gotcha. She just beginning, girl. Sorry, you guys came in together and I was like, you had a motorbike helmet. And I went, what a boss. He's just like motorbiked in, and he did some milk with a girlfriend. And if you win, you'll just like roar off on the bike,
Starting point is 00:21:05 but that, no, that's how other sensitive mountains are actually got it now for it. But coming in with a motorbike, I'm gonna say this, like you rode your motorbike in. Yeah. It's a multiplier, isn't it? If you get this right and you came in on a motorbike, you'd be like, it was that guy, it'd be perfect.
Starting point is 00:21:20 You'd be like, what's that guy just riding around on a motorbike and getting milk wrong? So I hope it's a win because it's a multiplier. Lewis, Cup number one. I'm sorry, I'm not going to say it. Well, so that's about mid-range. Interesting. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Have a sip. Oh. Yeah, I'm just going to say spot on just seven. It's six. So he's got it. Got it. He's got a lot of players. The Cale like this.
Starting point is 00:21:52 So he said mid range, I was like, oh gosh. We do have a good sensitive mouth. Yeah, this is a nice, good. How did that feel just getting off the mark? That was great. That was great. That's just classic mouth for How did that feel just getting off the mark? This was great. Yeah. That's great.
Starting point is 00:22:06 Like that's just classic milk for me. Yeah. Yeah. An old friend. Okay, here we go. Number two. Number two. I like the meat has a nice big drink.
Starting point is 00:22:17 That's fresh. That's real fresh. How is he doing? Okay, I'm gonna say three. Got it, Jackly right. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Okay, so it's another correct and he's ticked off his hole in one. Wow. And then he's going to rest up. I mean, the moment the boat of our galvanising is looking really good. I know. Can I be in shock? Is it a balance between like, sweet to sour or how does a milk change over the course?
Starting point is 00:22:50 It gets a little bit sour, progressively sour. But surely, like, if it was in the car too long before someone unpacked it or if like, was it the back of the shell first, the front of the light might hit it? Oh, sure. To an insensitive mouth, yeah. But to a sensitive mouth, it picks it up straight away. Let's go. Number three, this is good.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Lewis, number three. Okay. Okay. Whoa. It's not amazing. Yeah, okay. Okay, okay. So how am I drinking, but he's not happy about it.
Starting point is 00:23:20 When will this one go off? Do you think how many days? Because it's pretty close to the 7. I'm going to say... I think we're going to say 8 actually. That'll go off in zero days. Zero days. This one's been in the sunlight then. That's an old milk.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Yeah, that's an old milk. It's an old milk. How do you feel about that now? When you're riding high. That's okay. We got one up out. one up as in that expires today. Yeah That's a good milk then Give me the name of that cow We've got that's a robust other a series work two more. You need two from two Milk number four
Starting point is 00:24:05 Sniffing now. Yeah, you know, let's just kill here we go. Number four. Milk number four. Sniffing now. Sniffing now. Yeah, you know, it's hardcore stuff. Yeah. Going into his car. Good, see it. Oh god. I'm not sure on this one.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Well, get him bit of sour after taste there. Interesting. How many days till that one expires? Three days left. Nine days left Nine days left Oh my god Bad milk. I mean I think that I don't know why we're shocked I think the things impossible to do
Starting point is 00:24:36 It's so hard. Do we want to give him a helmet or if he gets it on the knuckle for the last one? Him absolutely Lewis ignore the ignore three and four get back to where you were for 1 and 2. Go milk number 5. Milk number 5, if you get it, you've got a cori. Yep, I agree. Firstly, we've got us enough impress. Yeah, off you go.
Starting point is 00:24:58 He's eyes and his brain are going, come on, Mal. Talk to me. You're sensitive. I mean, he had to listen to you. How many days till that one expires? Hmm. Do you think it's fresh or do you think it's on the longer end? I'm getting it. I've, I've, I've some,
Starting point is 00:25:13 I can find them all in my mouth. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I should have had a palozer, a foal. I was a jazz man, too. Yeah. Okay, he's going for one last one. Yeah, one last cobe. Well, he's coming for one last one. Yeah, one last cop. Real big cop.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Think about having a sensitive mouth as I imagine it's like anyone that's sensitive. They need the right environment to be listened to. So your brain now has to be like, come on man, tell me what you really feel. Now it's gonna be one of them. I think it's, I think it's five days. 11 days.
Starting point is 00:25:46 So it's very fresh. Very fresh that one. That's not good. That's not good. That's not good. It's good milk, but it's not good for you. No, that's drinkable. No, I'm jacquered with that. Lewis, jacquered with that moment up aware.
Starting point is 00:25:55 What a rollercoaster for us. I actually think you do have the skill, because at the start when you had a virginal mouth, when you sensitive mouth hadn't been overwhelmed. Maybe your mouth's too sensitive and it got overwhelmed It could be it would be early milk so average just get average It's like those pictures in the baseball that can come out and throw it like a hundred thousand kilometers an hour But they can only got probably a four in the music
Starting point is 00:26:16 Yeah, well I like to think of your mouth like it's very sensitive microphone It's like early on when it was really delicate Yeah It was here and everything and then it's like it's got to, it's got to overwhelm by all this milk. So there is no coin, but you really belong on the sensitive mouths of the face.
Starting point is 00:26:34 So there's a sense of belonging. So you still get to zoom off on your bike, knowing that you were in the right spot today. Hahaha. Hahaha. You were in the right spot today. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha there's so few data points that I don't know if you could graph it. That's my... That's my... Whatever the... I'm such...
Starting point is 00:27:10 There's like some sort of psychological name for this in the field of psychology, but it's like, whatever the effect is that when you do something once and you then perceive that you did it, not yesterday, but no more than two months ago. So I think if I really thought about it, I'd probably be almost two years since I went to the dentist, but it always seems like I went
Starting point is 00:27:28 about two months ago for the interim 18 months. They say every six months, Jack. I'm pre-COVID as well, I reckon. I hadn't been to now. Jack, you have those. Jack, Jack was the holistic dentist. Yeah, I miss you, actually. Oh, that's real. We're when he just like like it kind of hovelies fingers about a teeth or something and said, yeah, it's all done. No, you crack your big toe and you roll the falls out. It just explain which I actually tend to believe that two like a two-take
Starting point is 00:27:55 might not just be coming from the mouth. It might be that we have some unresolved tension in our chest turns out the cavity. Sometimes it can come from bacteria attacking the enamel and getting all the way to the root. However, I did also have a sore calf. Sometimes you can have two things. I told you guys, do you know about the time that I had real, like I had side of the neck pain and like shoulder pain. And the the the therapist. So the massage therapist was quite new age and she went, yes, it seems like it's your shoulder. I'm sure I've told you guys this and she was like, but it's actually you've stomach, you've got reflex.
Starting point is 00:28:36 English was her second language and she was trying to think of the words where she was like, it's your tummy door. The door that stops the acid coming back into your throat, right, your tummy door's open. Assets coming back into your soft August, that's burning and it seems like you have shoulder pain. You need to eat more honey. The sticky, I'm not joking. This is dick shut, your tummy door. Jeepers.
Starting point is 00:28:59 And that will stop your shoulder pain. Didn't eat a bit of honey. The door didn't seem to be closing if that was the issue. You got an MRI. I had a beside us, which is in for information of the joint. So it wasn't actually the tummy door. You didn't need enough honey, maybe. Jacob Wearing is the full back for cut.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Yes. My wife is actually a fraction. He's a shoulder of a weekend. But I think it's he's a... I would have been someone jamming the door open accidentally. Anyway, I went to the dentist, I went to the dentist for the first time in about two and a half years,
Starting point is 00:29:29 which to me, I think is about the amount of time you should wait before going. Yeah. Can you notice anything about my bottom tape? No, this is still a bit misaligned. Bigger gap. It's because over time. Someone's gonna say,
Starting point is 00:29:41 someone like you should be going daily. I've got a big gap at the bottom, but I got home and back goes, jeep is you got a big gap there. I say yes, because it fills up normally with tartar, which is normally black. So you've been trying to bridge the gap slowly. A middle two. Grow. Grow one with, with, with, so it's important that I go and get the middle two to remove the new middle two. Yeah. And moved every now and again. But now you can buy, I remember talking about this years and years ago on the radio show where I was like, I'd love to get the, it's great hook. Yeah, you gave me one. And then you're not allowed to have them because it's a dental
Starting point is 00:30:23 lonely tool. And then people like, no, you can get them. And I've still got the kit. Yeah. You gave me one. And then you're not allowed to have them cause it's a dental lonely tool. And then people are like, no, you can get them. And I've still got the kit. You gave me one. It does still seem scary though when you've got those sharp things and they've seen to have known what they're doing. I have a behind my two front teeth on the same. Like that's where it really builds up.
Starting point is 00:30:38 When you kind of do that thing, when you look in the mirror, you're like, oh, yeah, I think it's okay. Yeah, you go, wow, that must be bread. And they're like, no, no, that's stuck on go. Yeah, you go, wow, that must be bread. And they're like, nope, man, that stuck on. I, the line member of the last time I went about 18 months ago, I chipped it off before I went in, expecting, like, to fool him,
Starting point is 00:30:53 that I've been like, well, haven't been for a while, but as you can see, do I really need to come back? Anyway, now I can see you've had a go at this. That's straight away. So I'm heading in and you obviously always nervous. Even it's like when you put your car in for a service, the car seems to be running fine, but they always find something.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Right. Oh yeah. So I've sat down, I've done the clean, I've used that little rinsy thing that they use. So they should probably have it all restaurants, I reckon. Just that would be nice. This is a little rinse truffle on the. The guy says this, and I quote, I'm sitting back for the prognosis, it looks great. If anything, you might be brushing a little too
Starting point is 00:31:34 hard. Worn your teeth away. Isn't that just never heard of that? Is that a you electric toothbrush too? Yep. Wow. And he, he, you don't have to do anything electric to the brush, just get him in contact.
Starting point is 00:31:50 That's my theory. I think that was the brush to the work. He said my gums are starting to recede a little bit because of a too harsh brush. Brush gums. Brushing. Brushing. So I'm a two. I mean, do they want us to brush them on?
Starting point is 00:32:03 No, it's, what is the go here? Yeah, but all I'm saying is Are you sure you said this is what you said all I'm saying is don't rush back guys I don't know and oh and this is more of a message for Beck Like to just because she's obviously the person, you know, she's your partner. You guys been together a long time It's sometimes for the partners job to just kind of, you look after each other's health affairs a little bit, especially as you know, not getting any younger. It's like when we went to the skin, we got skin checks, skin cancer checks, which I get all the time.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And I said, and I'll book you into my guys as well, because you know, it's just good to have them in melanoma, it can be tiny, you know, do it every six months. And you said the guy said, do you, you never need to get another one again. You're the dude. He said so bad. He said so like your skin's so great. And I just feel like you always come back from medical professionals with this twisted
Starting point is 00:32:55 story. So how well you're winning your body. And then you then you he said that and then you said to him, hey, but any, any of these mums had skin cancers, many removed. Anyway, not, gee, I better give him a call back, and he ran me back and said, actually, you should, and I was like, well, don't give your prognosis and then fight a little bit more.
Starting point is 00:33:15 I feel like Beck needs to go with you now, how you know people accompany their parents to medical appointments, because so they don't get confused by what the doctor's saying. I think Beck actually needs to go with you to make appointments to make sure you're actually getting the hats on the back. You think you're getting? I'm wrapping up this sensitive male's episode.
Starting point is 00:33:41 What a journey to it, Thene today. Particularly for Kendall. She had a boyfriend halfway through the show? I accidentally thought that you were together with Lewis, our milk taster, makes sense now that I found out that you guys weren't together, because you know what I mean,
Starting point is 00:33:55 it added, we could see him through the studio, of course, we don't know anyone looks like to, like, come in. But hi Kendall, first of all, hello. Hello. Hello. Hello, hi. And apologies for the mix up.
Starting point is 00:34:03 No worries, I didn't come in on the motorbike, but he might be at least home. Kendall, you said and we talked to you on this the pot already. I Can eat spaghetti and accurately determine the length of any noodle in my mouth without having seen it first. That's right Just is it all parts of the mouth is it tongue teetle? Is it everything? I imagine you press against the roof. Is that actually don't know. It's mainly wrong with my guess I always think I've nailed the tactic It's just it's mainly tongue a little bit of lip But mostly tongue. I suppose isn't there something like you have a billion nerves or something in your tongue
Starting point is 00:34:43 You have a lot of nerves in your tongue. I believe so. I've encountered them. No, no, no. A billion seems a lot, though. Not for nerves. They're very small. Do you think it seems a lot? It does seem high, but the body always amazes us.
Starting point is 00:34:55 Yes. Yes. That's true. That's true. That's true. The truth of the body. Because I, so is it a swirl? Because you have, if it comes in in a clump, because you won't be seeing these cooks, baguettes, there must be some sort of straightening out process that goes to so you can...
Starting point is 00:35:10 Yeah, so end to end. And then as you go easy and I kind of coil it in my mouth because my mouth is as long as a piece of spaghetti. That's true, so you have to be working in a confined space. Yes, yeah. So there is a bit of technique to the coiling. It's possible to choke if you keep it going. I have to at least raise it. So this is kids at home. This the coiling. It's possible to choke if you keep it going. I still have no experience.
Starting point is 00:35:25 So this is kids at home. This is not a school you just jump into. No. You want those people that can tie the cherry stem and stuff like the dexterous side of things? I haven't tried. Tonight. I'm sure I could measure it, Terry stem.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Yes. She's built a measuring. Then, Terry's not. Yes. I'm trick pony. That's usually here. She has a specific tool. No, it's just a thing in our house going up. True. Yeah, some trick pony. That's huge. Yes, it's a specific sort. No, it's just a thing in our house going up.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Like if you had a bag of cherries, like, everyone would sit around. You could try and tie it. Yeah, but it would be like, take like half an hour and data to get it sort of thing. And they'd be like, dribbling down. It's not like the greatest truth, but it's a thing. Hey, Micheal, would you want to reveal to Kendall how we've arranged this? Underneath this piece of paper that's obscuring your view of the noodles, there are three paper shot glasses.
Starting point is 00:36:08 There was a... there's a Coox baguette, obviously. I... Carly, the lovely color of the works you're on the show with us did this. I have complete faith. I am obviously worried about it sticking together, like a bit of gluten. Carls, yeah, she's worried about that too. So, I hope we don't just give it to you and it's stuck and and if that happens, I guess we just call it off for a flag
Starting point is 00:36:30 on the plane, we deal with it from there. But what I'd like you to do is once you put the noodle in your mouth and it's uncoiling in there, not if you've got separation. It'll give us the thumbs up. It's not clumping. Yeah, just so we know we're on. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:36:43 And conditions are right. And conditions are right. If it's clumping in there, like that, it is stutterable, because obviously it's like half an hour ago. Mm-hmm. Yeah, it just gives thumbs down. Okay. We're going to give you a centimeter each side. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Like that's your error rate. There's three in front of you. Two out of three will give you a coin. Okay. And boy, would it be a triumphant end to this sensitive mouthed dish, and it would be. You ready to go Kendall? I am.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Okay. Okay. She'll measure the distance. Just with her teeth. And with her tongue. With her tongue. Yeah, her mouth is all she needs. Okay, here we go, Kendall.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Here we go, she's closing her eyes. Here's the cup and just kind of, I guess, the go just shake him into your mouth. I was closed. Oh, it gave me a suspicious. Oh, I think I know what's happening. Kendall's getting it in her mouth. It's a, it's a, it's a,
Starting point is 00:37:38 she pulls her tongue out. The tone was, yeah, it is old. Hey, can I like to loop it off a little bit? Oh, that's a point. Yeah, that's, I was gonna say, just get in the mouth. I would have, I didn't know if we should serve all of oil or something.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Do we have all of oil? Oh, I've got a break. Oh, I've got a break. Okay, make it, make it, make it, make it. Make it, make it, make it. Okay, okay. So now half is gone in. Half is gone in.
Starting point is 00:37:58 All right, mix. You've got a number for that half. I do. Okay, cool. And it seems like Ken will know is the length of her tongue. And who doesn't? And but it's only come out half way and it's receives it and receives the little it sucks it back in. She's eating it. I would say 23 for that one.
Starting point is 00:38:18 20. So close. Really close. Okay, but we know what we know what we're doing. And you had a break. You had a break. This is like a broke that was very Should we be pouring a little bit of water? I'm just saying olive oil I mean just to slip read up a little bit and that will separate the producer running Water will do guys. We got olive oil. We got water. They're coming in okay. Yeah Slide flag on the plate Here we go. Um, you with a little bit of olive oil?
Starting point is 00:38:45 Yeah. Okay. Sorry, the Italian enemy could not afford it. But don't Italian's keep a bit of water, past the water for the gluten. We keep the past the water for the gluten. We don't put fresh water in there. Here we go. A little bit of olive oil on each one.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Okay. Here we go. I was close. Here comes number two. Warning. There's quite a lot of oil in it. Second one going in. Yeah, that looks like a better. Oh, slippery. Get a texture. Okay. It's going into Kennell's mouth. Unbegins its business. Crawling it up. It's reminding you of an animal, what animal am I picking up here? It's a snake, isn't it? It's like, because snake uses its mouth to try and...
Starting point is 00:39:29 It may be a python that slowly eats a goat. But it's a fallen like a goat. It's like a goat eating a python, isn't it? It's a... Okay, it's all in Kent on now. So much oil. A lot of oil. I would say 32, that one.
Starting point is 00:39:45 She's three off again. You're mouthing out by three cent wheels. Three. It's 29. It's 29. It's 29. It's still really good. Do we go as a special sensitive mouther edition,
Starting point is 00:40:00 special bonus offer? If you've landed, like in the... Well, I think if she landed exactly three off she gets Practicing last night I was exactly three off every time Re-calibrate Re-calibrate now the question You either go look at you know for the next one you either go look. I think it's 25 Which me but I'm saying 25 with my normal three error or you say actually think it's 28
Starting point is 00:40:26 I've already taken my three and that's all you've got to call it wherever you're trusting your mouth or you're already doing the math And there's no plus or minus now it has to be dead on yeah, and we'll give you a coin okay, okay, it's quite a lot of oil and some noodle Kindle Boarding the noodle back in. Starts a little teeth, it's the pinceret and then the tongue gets to work, working it in. And that's the end of it. Math being done.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I'm gonna say 16. Is that with? Is that what you wanna say? So that means it's gonna be 13. It's up to the third hand. The third hand? Yep, right. So that means...
Starting point is 00:41:09 So that's what my tongue's telling. Tongue's telling us 16. History tells us that that means it's actually 13. Yes. It's 17. So the tongue was getting more accurate. The tongue was getting more accurate. The tongue was increasing.
Starting point is 00:41:21 The tongue was listening to you. Yes. Is it possible that your tongue has shrunk or it's shamed size? The oil. Since coming in here because that's definitely the or measuring stick, isn't it? Well, the thing is I was practicing and I was getting it bang on. And then I practiced too much and my tongue actually became fatigued and that's when I started to become real.
Starting point is 00:41:41 So you've got, yeah, you're coming in to run the 800 meter final, but you did the 10,000 meters away. Of course, you're not going to give a key bit. Kendall, a token of no value you'll give to you. Thank you. We obviously put give it no value whatsoever, but you can choose to add whatever value you'd like to. What the heck for cover you? No doubt you have a sensitive, but exhausted now. And again, for sensitive people listening, it can be exhausting, being sensitive. It can be. And in this fast-paced world, sometimes being too sensitive can just exhaust you. Congrats to you on your mouth.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Thank you. Thanks for listening. The Hamish Nandy podcast will return next week. Catch up or contribute at hamishanandie.com.
