Starting point is 00:00:00 A list-naf production. Activate your internet. Cos the Hamish and the podcast starts in 3, 2, sorry, still buffering. 1. A hoi-dimi blocker, Hamish. You're not get through here, sir. Ahoi to me, Jemma, Jack. Oh, we'll jam it, blocker.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Hang on. You know, don't you, him. I do. I thought we were back in Quidditch for a second, but I know, Jack. I know, boys. We're Roller-Darby. We are Roller-Darby, we are. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:43 As in blockers, baby, we have written that the hot eight wheels of Roller Derby yourself before we flew. I mean, it's absolutely brutal. I was a slightly less fit man in those days, but I remember it being a punishing day. What was, we were the Derby queens? Maybe the Derby queens. In Phoenix, Arizona, you and I played with the team. Those women were ferocious and lovely.
Starting point is 00:01:10 And much better at skating than you were at skating. You actually quite good at skating. I was definitely needed training wheels, which you can't get. I... You have a big rubber stocker. But yes, you are training wheels. You've already got a lot of wheels down there.
Starting point is 00:01:24 The problem isn't, isn't the amount of wheels. Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh I know you guys really love special skills and I've just witnessed a cracker just in Kena and just saw this man I think they call him Jesus I just turned water into wine Maybe I thought it was pretty cool. We might get him on for a special skill Anyway, hopefully you guys get this soon on the upload on the on the interwebs What's that's been blowing up here? So hopefully you guys get this in the next couple years. Kid voices, please. Great one.
Starting point is 00:02:09 And we absolutely would get gizzen. I would love to have Jesus to go, okay, he says you can turn water into wine. We have three cups of water, two out of three, two out of three is clean. Three out of three is an equal coin. And if we can guess the type of wine Pino Sharaz, or I don't know if it's a white, I don't know if it goes red,
Starting point is 00:02:29 or white either we'll accept, is it a shardonnay? I don't know if it's a shambly. The way it's depicted, it's definitely a red wine. And that's good news. Even harder, I would actually imagine. That's good news for Jesus, because if he'd gone a very clear shardonnay, it's very, very likely in Egrigio. People might have gone,
Starting point is 00:02:46 are you sure you didn't just throw something yellow in it for a second? Yeah. Or even from a distance as you held it up. I mean, for crowd, like, I'll sit back, pass it back with a cheese board. Turn a shoe into cheese.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Is there something you did over and over again, or did he just do it? No, it was just the one. One of them. And then people would have be blood-einoing if he's had a party and the shop's closed. Like, oh no, guys, the shop's closed. It's good Friday wouldn't be yet, but the shop's closed.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Yeah, what would you like? Sorry, but explain the holiday to me. Are you going to need to know about that? Shops are closed. It's got shops close. It's your fault they're closed, Jesus, so you know you are two models of one. So come on, give us a bottle of wine. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:03:32 No, no, no, no, no, guys, I told you it was all one off. And it was for a lesson. For some description. What was a lesson? I can't remember. It's not a trick. It was an act of faith. And that is the, but that is smart marketing from him too,
Starting point is 00:03:43 because he just did it all the time. Yeah. It loses a punch. Deva Copperfield walked through the Great Wall of China once. We're still talking about it. If he walked through it every morning on his way to work, it would lose its appeal. So for good shaman understand the value of hype and then you let the crowds, you let your word of mouth do the rest. Not sure how many of you will like us comparing Jesus to David Copperfield. We're doing both huge moments. Yeah, yeah. I mean that's in terms of showmanship. Yes, I agree. I'm doing a hats off.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Hey, you wanted to start the show here because you saw something on the came in via the Reddit, haven't you read it? Yes, well, this was brought to attention. I know Jackie Peruz, the Reddit from time to time. Yes, Monica is Greg Internet also on Reddit and on Trust.com. So look out for me there. Greg Internet. Thralling, trawling through it like a shark.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Just trung through the murky waters of the internet. This was posted by, oh, I mean, unless we want the expletive, no, no, we can't, can't, so we'll be able to talk about the ****. The ****. So, just letting you know that he's a ****. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:59 He ain't sure. That, or she, not sure, but you know what they do. Yeah. Now you know sure, but you know what they do. Now you know that. Now you know what altitude they do. Yeah, how high they are when they're doing it or wanting it to be known that they do do it. What did he write? Oh, he wrote.
Starting point is 00:05:23 He was he wrote. Re-listing to the podcast and in at twenty nine and we did know this was coming up But let's let's mention anyway in at one twenty nine the boys mentioned it being zero pino's 40th anniversary on the 16th of June Really this is what shows ago They talk of holding a big event bringing thousands of people's to zero pino's the pizza shop They talk about thousands of people to the street The pain, the pain knows the pizza shop. They took about thousands of people to the street. This is beginning to smell like a Peter out.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Of course, our show is famous for a lot of things. Or putting in the work is one of them. Holding ourselves for a very, very high standard is the other. Obviously fighting the government mandate and podcasting break is one of the things we like to be known for. And of course, acknowledging that when you jam so many ideas
Starting point is 00:06:05 into a year through natural selection, sadly, not all of the litter can survive. Exactly. And sometimes a great idea can become a peater out, which is a legitimate option for ideas. Exactly. But with this one hand, we thought we didn't do it. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:06:21 We were like, oh, look, that's still very much a chance for us to huge party. We thought we didn't do it, but no, no, no, no, no, we were like, oh, look, that's still very much a chance for us to huge party to do a huge party with thousands of people crowding Zio Pino's our favorite favorite pizza store course made famous by pizza lotto They do also ring they also do right here Tall MF just bring pizza lotto back and then an Italian flag and a pizza slice. So we thought look obviously an Italian flag and a piece of us. So we thought, look, obviously, we have tons of organizing into the street party at this stage. Not just saying I'm going to do it. We're not shy of a lot of work. Chicken fest, I think, can attest to that. We are able to amass thousands of people together
Starting point is 00:06:57 around a fast food joint or a quality restaurant in this case. However, it could also be a pirate, that's true. We thought, let's get the wheel in. Yes. Let's get the wheel. We haven't used this forever. No. Yeah. That's why we didn't recognize it. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:14 Well, let's get the wheel as a hundred spots on the wheel, like the plackaduck kind of wheel that they used back in the day. Half we've written Peter out. Half we've written an enormous street party for Zio Peno. Whatever it lands on, we will honor. It's a rule of broadcasting you on of the wheel. On of the wheel. Jack, I spin the wheel. Let's get this going.
Starting point is 00:07:32 All right. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Happy to accept whatever it gets. Big party. I want the big party. I'm ready for the big party. She got a few ideas for the big party. For the street party. Could be a Peter out.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Yeah. It's a street party, Peter. A street party, we're straight party. Could be a paid-around. Yeah, it's a straight party, paid-around. Straight party, paid-around. Straight party, paid-around. Straight party, straight party. Is it gonna be straight party? Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh! Oh! Oh God! Oh! Oh! Peter out! Peep up the Peter out!
Starting point is 00:08:15 Peep up the Peter out! Peep up the Peter out! Oh no! I wonder how many times I have to point it, Jack? That's the moment where it's landed as a Peter outmate. I was wondering why you, I almost asked what did it land on because you were saying. It's a shame. But, okay, Peter doesn't mean that we won't play Pete Slaughter right now.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Let's do it, let's a fact. Okay, it doesn't mean that we won't play Pete's letter right now. Let's do it. Let's play it. Let's play it. Let's play it. Penelope joins us. Uh, are you Penelope? Hi boys. Happy birthday Andy. No need. Don't you be happy? I'm like for you.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Do you hear that we just missed out on the big and ornament straight party? I did hear that. That's such a bummer. It was such a bummer. I know. It was so close. It was so close. It'm so close. So close. The good news for you is since it is a peat around, if we're doing the Street Party, we wouldn't have had time to play. We've just been straight into organising and talking to the police about walking off the roads and getting a peek. Inflatable pizza slice floats and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:09:18 But since we don't have to do that, we are now ready to play pizza on the moon and, and so are the Zip Pino's 40th birthday. Okay, let's put the number, let's call Zip Pino now. Is it his birthday or the store's birthday? I don't even know. That's gonna be the shop's birthday. He's been older with me. Yes, I think I'm face to face with an an A. I like to think I'm younger than him. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 00:09:43 Pino. Is that Pino? It's a Pino. Hey, how are you? Hey, how are you? Great. Great. Now is it the 40th anniversary of the store coming up? Yeah, in the 16th. Yes, great. Very exciting, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:09:56 Exactly when this podcast will come out. So we want to congratulate you for 40 great years. Thank you, Edamard. And you're all thank you. Congratulations, Peter. Thank you. very exciting to have been out there. Exactly when this podcast will come out so we wanted to congratulate you for 40 great years. Thank you Edamard. And you're all thank you. Congratulations, Peno.
Starting point is 00:10:10 And this is Penelope. She was hoping to play Pizza Lotto today. Is that OK? OK, yeah, yeah, yeah. Go, go, go on. OK, let's jump in the air. Let's go, Peno. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Here we go. When you're having a try to guess the pizza by that's a lot. It's a lot. First question, Pino. Is there a pizza? Don't tell us which one. Is there a... Is there a...
Starting point is 00:10:40 Is there a... Is there a... It's not... Is there a... Don't tell us what type, but is there a pizza in the oven? No, it's not. Is there a peat in the oven? Two peat in the oven. Do you know which one now it's what's coming out next, isn't it Andy? Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Do you, don't tell us, but do you know if there's one that's coming out next? Which one it is? Which one? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, maybe Penelope now you go, what one it is? Which one? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, maybe Penelope now, you go, what's your guess? Okay, I'm gonna guess Margarita. Okay, Pino, what's the next flavor pizza to be ready in the oven?
Starting point is 00:11:15 What is it? Eight, or meat. Oh, I missed. You couldn't have been more on but LV You know He's got me no bread either Just a patty our Pino brilliant congratulations are 40 great years. Thank you very much. Thank you Thank you. Thank you. I don't know how it happened.
Starting point is 00:12:05 And Beck smashed into it. Had a fellow come round to look at it. And they've got some great things these days for garage doors. You can link up to your Wi-Fi so it tells you whether it's down or up, even if you're not at home, which I love the idea. I think I would appreciate that. We've got a weird thing going on with our garage door at the moment where occasionally I go to the garage in the morning and I am positive it's been shut and it's just opened. I don't know what's going on. I don't
Starting point is 00:12:32 know if we've got a loose wire somewhere or if someone in the neighborhood has the same frequency clicker. You do hear about, that the clickers can do other people's garage doors. Anyway, these come like the Wi-Fi one. The Wi-Fi one is great. I love the brand name on that, just in case, I mean, you know, where's the one? Well, I will tell the story and you tell me whether you think he would want the brand name.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Now, he would want the brand name mentioned. Okay. Because it didn't turn out great for him, but in, that's why he's such a lovely person. I need to put this out. But around there, he's telling me about how garage doors work. He's very passionate about him. He's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:13:12 And then he said, no, you play a lot of golf. And I said, oh, yeah. I'll show you how much I'm into golf. And I was going to show him the golf sim in the house. Sure. Sure. Now, there is a doggie fence that separates the golf sim and the hallway. No, dogs a lot on the course.
Starting point is 00:13:30 No dogs around the course. Your dog is an avid golfer, but if she spends all the time playing golf, she won't do anything else. She's a fighter in the ship. She's going to do her round with the captain. And who's an 80 month waiting list. No, it's because unfortunately, we toilet train Henry with some modgrass some green grass Yep, same thing So that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, one leg over, the second leg gets caught,
Starting point is 00:14:07 and he starts this hop, and somehow kick the fence up into more into himself. It is a tall fence, because of course the height of you. It was a 25-meter fence. And he's, I would say, 45-meter fence. He's then starting hopping, and I'm like, oh, this is gonna fall, he's gonna fall. And he can't ride himself.
Starting point is 00:14:30 He's legs then kind of seas of the fence and it explodes. I've never seen a fence just go into more pieces. What's it made of? Well, it was made of wood and mesh and wire and stuff. It just must have hit the wrong angle, right? Yep. He's fallen headfirst into a fan on the ground,
Starting point is 00:14:49 because it's in kind of a gym area and smashed the fan. My god, it's like an okay go to. LAUGHTER I hope you're filming this. LAUGHTER Just one of their shorter songs that they did really go viral, which I clicked the exercise bike on. The ball machine starts whacking balls, they're all going into his mouth.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Anyway, he then turns around and obviously is a guest in the house and excited to be putting a new party for you. He just does that thing, which anyone would do, but he goes, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, and starts grabbing all the pieces of the fits to try and put it back together. It's not going to go back together. All right. He's in Boundaries. And I said, no, no, no, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, going to go back together. All right, so he gave you these embarrassing,
Starting point is 00:15:46 and I said, no, no, hey mate, stop, stop, stop. Are you okay because he's headbutted this stuff? He's like, no, no, no, no, no. And he's starting to try and hand put pieces like 14, 15 bits of wood that is split back together. I said, stop, stop, stop. Wow, I'm real, no, stop. No, no, no, stop, stop, stop. No, no, no, stop, stop, stop. Wow, I'm real no stop off. No, no, no, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Maybe that is okay, go on. And I said, just stop, it's okay, are you okay? It's in yes, I'm fine. I said, you sure that look right? Start again then. That's the fix the fence. Okay, if you're okay, I do need to fix it. That looks really bad, really bad. He's like, no, no, I'm fine if you're okay, I do need the fence. That looks really bad.
Starting point is 00:16:25 That looks really bad. You're like, no, no, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine. Yep. I said, leave the fence. Leave the fence. I'll replace the fence. They don't want about the fence, they're very cheap. As you can see, it went really big.
Starting point is 00:16:35 It's okay. Let's go back and look at the garage door. I'll say the excursions off. You're not allowed to look at the golf. I obviously can't show you the golf simulator anymore because you've shown me that you can't be trusted with simple things. So as if I'm going to show you an expensive thing, but I will allow you to keep working for me. So playtime's over. You chose to spend your playtime breaking a fence.
Starting point is 00:17:04 I didn't tell you to do that, but you, it was only a one minute break. So we're walking back down to where his colleague was measuring up. And he went, what the hell's going on? That point, Beck walks down the stairs and goes, what's going on? Is everything all right? Because they'd had made all that sound. At this point, the fellow is definitely embarrassed and very read. And he's like, I'm fine, I'm fine I'm fine I'm fine
Starting point is 00:17:26 I said he's just we tripped over the fence and back sees the fence goes wow all right is everyone okay so sure he measures up he leaves sort of cool and and they've done a great job of of the quote right so I'm seeing they're going gosh I feel bad for this guy because you never want to go to someone else's house and have an episode like me. I'm afraid. He goes, here's a, probably can't get any worse as you feel it now. About half an hour later, get a call by his colleague. Alex can't find his wallet.
Starting point is 00:17:56 He thinks it may have come out during his acrobatics. During the acrobatics. So I'm down there looking everywhere, because he did really when, you know, head over heels, I'm down there looking everywhere, because he really went head over heels. I'm looking over, I can't find the wallet. So I have to ring back and go, sorry. I can't find the wallet. And so then he's made a call to me looking for a wallet
Starting point is 00:18:19 where it's not in the house or it isn't the house. And it's like in a ceiling fan or something that's gone so high or He'll be going I bet he's kept the wallet to pay Ben's damages that's what he's done anyway. I told you the story you said should we mention the company Right Do the wife I imagine that's these are the in stories for But they're the brand of the Wi-Fi garage might be a different company. I haven't asked him, but I would say this is an isolated incident.
Starting point is 00:18:51 I don't think he smashes offence every time he visits his place. The problem is when you hire a garage door company and Jack, you know, as the two guys here that are trying to get the free garage door units. Well, I'd have to we to use a whole garage, but the garage door is a car boy. I'm sure you could. Our issue, probably man, Jack's issue is a garage door is what is it if not a barrier, tall fence, and he has shown that he can't be trusted.
Starting point is 00:19:17 He can't be trusted with barriers. He's kryptonite. So that is a concern for us. So I will say if you're the wholesaler of the white by unit, please contact the show That's the best we can boot Hey, they continue to come in thick and fast you can still order the power moves book at hamishnelly.com But let's jump into another segment today. BAM!
Starting point is 00:19:51 Okay, so. How are us up, Andy? What do you got? Charles Williams, he writes, power move, best using a sport like tennis or squash. Yep, bracket, bracket based, mate. Yeah, probably. After the warm-up,
Starting point is 00:20:04 keep your tracksuit on for the entire game. Oh, yeah. When the opponent asks, why haven't you taken off your go, I will want to start getting a good sweat up. Oh, yeah. Very hard for me to do. Yeah. Because he's sometimes just wearing the tracksuit,
Starting point is 00:20:24 if I would ever do that, if I would ever be in a situation where I would wear a track suit, over sports clothes, that will often be enough to get a good sweater. And I've sometimes found myself taking off beforehand going, well that did its job, really good, nice and warm. Good. This is a pattern that comes in from Tyler. This requires a small bit of following along. It's a school
Starting point is 00:20:47 base move, or really, I guess, anywhere up to the level that you would have someone calling the role, which I think Peter's out. Where does the role call? Well, we had tutors at university. We had... Did they do the role? Yeah, you and I didn't go very often. Of course, I remember that. Yes, the tutors would do the role. Yeah. So I don't think it really happens anywhere else.
Starting point is 00:21:11 It doesn't happen at work situations, doesn't it, Jack? It feels very much like a primary school thing. Yeah, but I mean, yeah. Anyway, so you're in one of those situations and a substitute comes in, so they don't know who's in the class. Okay. So then you go to someone whose name appears after yours. Right. So Lee, for example, would be after Blake. And I go, let's switch.
Starting point is 00:21:30 So that will switch names for the day. And when they call out, Hamish Blake, that's you. Right. Like you jump in. Yeah. It would be hilarious. And then, and then I'll, I'll do you later on. Okay. So it comes in the wrong. Hamish Blake. This is sorry, this is for you, this is your pal move. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:48 I think it has to work this way. It goes down to Hamish Blake, then you go out, he's not here today. Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!
Starting point is 00:21:57 Oh! Oh! Are you even here to go? Yes, I am. Well, why didn't you answer your name? Oh! Oh! Oh! I can, this is from Keegan and Canada him.
Starting point is 00:22:09 I'm not sure whether you can pull this off, it seems very, a lot of things have to align. But I like when they go for a while, when a hell marry, power move. When your shoe is untied, flag down a bus. All right go. untied, flag down a bus. When it pulls over and the doors open up, place your untied you on the first, tie that up and let them go again. slightly more possible if you're at a bus stop. Yeah, if you're at a bus stop and you pull over the bus, just so you can type me to you, that is a great power move.
Starting point is 00:22:47 All right, really good one. I've actually, small note to me, I'm probably getting a bit cocky with what I can drink. Yeah, I hope that you're drinking a boat of tea. You nearly spat the boat of tea all the way out. Well, it's got their pearls, got their little dumpling balls in it. And it really, okay. Power move. This is it. These are the great category of power moves, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:09 like we've had a few classic ones where, you know, like in white color work situations where some, you know, you come up to some, the one we've always loved is, oh, how's things going all still pretty quiet on your end? When you know someone has an important job. This is in the similar kind of office work environment where you're asking somebody, you know, what they're working on at the moment. And you know, they're always going to answer
Starting point is 00:23:34 with an important thing like, you know, well, I'm actually doing all the engineering for this new bridge. After no matter what they say after they reply, simply say, sorry, this comes in from a line I should say credit with credit you say after they reply, simply say, sorry, this comes in from a line, I should say credit with credit, you after they reply, simply say, well, someone has to do it. I really like, I've got, I've got, I've, I've, I almost wanted to go out and exit so strong, but I've got things what are you doing? Well, I'm, yeah, we're actually working on, we're doing stem cell research in Nice, I'm pretty excited.
Starting point is 00:24:05 I think could, yeah, could cure spinal cord injuries. Oh, someone's going to go to bed. No, it's pretty big. This came in from Georgie Kingham Ham. Palmoved recently, my driving test I advanced from my learners to get my piece. Before the engine has turned on and as the driver examiner stepped in and sat in the passenger side, before I did my mirrors check, et cetera,
Starting point is 00:24:32 I turned to them and said, do you need to go to the toilet before we go? The unwritten rules, step zero. We love people going to Hamishney.com, filling out the Evalued and Important Podcast to form and letting us know of a special skill that they're the best at and it's not recognised by Australians or the world and hence we would like to recognize it if they can pull it off on our show. That's what we're here for. And sometimes we audition the manders, and sometimes we need to talk to them over the phone much like if you're...
Starting point is 00:25:16 Or if you're hiring a specialist for anything. Yeah. Sometimes you call them. Hey, you know, so on the website, you're a heart surgeon. Yep. And you've done lots of... Yeah, sure, I have. Yeah, six years. Six years, what's the biggest pipe? website you're a heart surgeon. Yep, and you've done lots of, yeah sure, I have yeah, what's the biggest pipe?
Starting point is 00:25:27 A order. Okay, good. But then other times you just go straight in because you don't, you just believe them so much and that's what happened with Nick. Nick name Nando. Mm-hmm. I mean, his name is Nick. He's, Nick is his name, but his nickname is Andy.
Starting point is 00:25:44 That is a strange thing for guys that are called Nick because Nick is his name, but his nickname is Ando. That is a strange thing for guys that I call Nick because your nickname is Nick. That's the nickname. That he's a call's name. But Nick name, but Nando. But it's wrong because Nick is your nickname. You have a name of Nando.
Starting point is 00:26:04 So Nando is there and he writes in this and I want everyone to really listen to this. Okay. Because it's gonna sound impossible. It sounds impossible. We really think about what we're saying here. He goes, I can carry 12 full pot glasses. 12.
Starting point is 00:26:20 So for people who don't know what pots are because it's very sudden states to cut co-pots, but like a midi. A midi, bigger than a glass of beer, but you're 280 meals. Yep, good start. Well, 12 full pot glasses from the bar to the table without fingers in the drink, because I know a lot of people be like, oh, OK, we get a six-inch hand, dip your hands, dip your fingers in, grab a few with your teeth, put one in your pocket.
Starting point is 00:26:46 Without spilling a drop, minimal spillage, he writes. Not just a drop. So we're like, how is this guy talking about? Not holding anything against his chest, either. Yeah, that's it. No scooping towards the chest. So first of all, we pick up the phone and we just swear in a head off and it might happen. How dare you write into our, how dare you clog our, okay, our power emails
Starting point is 00:27:05 with this sort of these lies, you know, do you think we got better stuff to do without time than you just writing in? This isn't, you don't just write down your ultimate fantasy mate, like stop, leave the emails open for people that can do these things. And he goes, now I can do it. It's my turn, mate.
Starting point is 00:27:19 I can't wait, isn't it Bob? Maybe isn't it Bob, if you reckon you can do this. And he turned up. Nick, Nando. Thank you. Good to see you. That's good to be here. This is pretty exciting. Straight off the bat, we didn't talk to you on the podcast,
Starting point is 00:27:33 we said that it comes straight in, because we saw something that was amazing. In fact, I want to read out exactly what it was. It was, if I can remember correctly, you can. You promised to read. Yeah, but then I realized I got my phone to pass. This is my phone. That's all right. OK, well, for all those wanting to read, we're going to get a paraphrase.
Starting point is 00:27:51 I think it's going to be close. Yeah, OK. Well, this is not the testing your special skill. Look at how well you can remember it. You can carry 12 pots of full beer with outputting your fingers in any of the tops. That works. The bit that got us. That's the disgusting part. Yeah, no fingers in any of the tops. That's correct.
Starting point is 00:28:05 The bit that got us. And it's the disgusting part as well. Yeah, no fingers in. It's not a trick. No. With minimal spillage. You're not, not no spillage. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:13 There's probably some spillage, but... Absolutely. Minimal spillage. Some people can't carry two without any spillage. It's the only time of the night it is. Exactly. Hold one without spillage. When did you realise 12 was the number?
Starting point is 00:28:23 Have you ever gone for 13? No, 13 just the numbers don't add up with 13. We're a terrible number to start with. It's true. It just doesn't add up. The way it stacks and comes together, 12 is the... He's the 50%. See, it's the number. Are they in a clump and you're squeezing them all together?
Starting point is 00:28:38 They're in two clumps. Wow. It's a double clump. Have you patented the double clump? Are you stacking two layers? Wow, that's a double clump. Have you painted the double clump? Yeah, I'm using it. Are you stacking two layers? I'm holding two layers on top of it. They're not stacked as in the traditional sense,
Starting point is 00:28:55 but they are... It's not like those champagne... No, it's how I was. No, you see, in cruise ships from the 80s. Which would also be impressive, but no. How many on the bottom, tier, how many on the top, tier? There's seven on the top and five underneath.
Starting point is 00:29:07 Oh, what? Which seems odd. I know. Heavy. So many way of actually grabbing underneath, almost like a firefighting helicopter holds a bucket. It's similar, yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Show us your hands. I mean, how can you just put yours up by comparison? Oh, yeah. You've got to do it the same, but he's not a colossal guy. So it's not a job thing, is he? That's where it's at. Strong, strong, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:31 I'll let it be. But he's not. Congrats. And to yourself. Yeah. Yeah. And the aspect. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:29:39 Thank you, all right. OK, so the way we've set up the special skill to test you today is we figured this skill is only impressive If everyone's satisfied with how much beer they get at the end seems fair. Yeah, so it's really like we've set up You're getting around of 12. Yeah, so we have 10 other people up quick cheer Great 10 other people in the bar. I mean we are required is that like a lot of 11 in the morning So would the only people are at this day, but you're getting around of 12. Yeah, they of like a lot of leaven in the morning, so we're the only people in our history. But you're getting a round of 12. Yep. They are like a jury.
Starting point is 00:30:07 They aren't going to be the jury. It's going to land on the table. You're going to pass them all out and then we'll go round and say, is this an acceptable man of beauty? Yeah, that's a beautiful one. That's a fair. And they'll say, yes or no.
Starting point is 00:30:18 So no guilty knock, you'll be. We've also put down Witches Paper. Yes, you know, a trailer, which is better going from the bar to where you're going. So we can see where you just feel, if you do spill. And the amount. And for people listening, because this was my concern too, we've got porous butcher's paper,
Starting point is 00:30:36 but not sometimes you find a waxed butcher's paper, which wouldn't tell the tale properly. Yes, but we've just, cheapest available. Yeah, perfect. Look, if you get 12 out of 12 yeses, I think you need to deliver 12 passable beers. That sounds fair. You've got yourself an H&A coin. Is there anything else you need to do for a wallop? I might need to just cross first. I don't need to take them across,
Starting point is 00:31:03 but maybe just pick them up and get a bit of a feel for the glasses. Have you looked at what glasses are I did? I did. Are you happy with the glam? I can. Man. I was just wondering,
Starting point is 00:31:14 I mean Ian, I was like, this is interesting because we're just gonna see a man squeeze a clump of 12 beers together. That's just still cool. Which is great. And like that's a lot of pressure he must be applying. But now that I know it's a seven on top five underneath. Well the engineering involved now isn't it? It's... I can't. I have no idea what I'm saying and I, I mean I assume you know what you do, you wouldn't have come
Starting point is 00:31:33 all the way in. I feel like I need to tell you tonight you've got the terrible strategy. You're gonna drop it everywhere, but you know what you're doing. What's it? I could love it. Thanks. OK, we are over at the table with another 10, 30 people. Do you know the most incredible part of this is just watching Nick. The focus is he arranges the seven and five. Yeah. There's a special water they go in. Just watching Nick, the focus is e-arranges, the seven and five. There's a special order they go in, hard to describe, I mean, definitely worth checking out the video,
Starting point is 00:32:11 because the finessing of getting them perfect, already you know, we're in this weird situation where, of course, we'll be much quicker to just do four trips with three. It would be quicker than this. So it's not a time saving skill unless the table is miles away. Yes. But it doesn't matter because if it's good enough, of course you would do this at the pub. Can you imagine coming from from pub going, not going to believe what I saw a guy do? Yeah. 12 drinks. 12 drinks. 3 is normally that's where it begins to get impressive.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Yeah. What we're seeing that the moment, him, is similar to where you're saying bolt, he checks the footing, checks his shoes, just got everything right before the gun will go off. That's it. And when he doesn't think he goes, mate, it's not about whether there's a pebble on the truck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:57 You have to be the fastest man in the world. Obviously, the spillage, and he's got to be nervous. So that's also tough. Just, I mean, look at how many beers there are. There's 12 beers. How are you feeling, Nick? I think they're in the right spot. He's happy. Okay, whenever you're ready. Are you ready for lift-off, Nick? Yeah, I think so. Okay, here we go. So he's holding the, it looks like he's holding the top way of very low down. He will go Very low down, he will go, very in the air. The first five, the first seven are in the air.
Starting point is 00:33:26 The seven are in top of the five. So now he lands, he lands on top. Oh Jesus, this is the worries. Okay, I don't believe this is all, oh my God. Oh my God, the bartender just held her mouth. The bartender. Oh my God, oh my God. Now this is the hard part. This is the hardest part.
Starting point is 00:33:46 This is the dis. This is the dis. This is the beer's on top of five layers. This is the dismount he's landed at. Well, the five are down. Five are down. The seven are up. I don't think there was a single drip on the ground.
Starting point is 00:33:57 And he's somehow landed at the bottom. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. I don't know, I don't know! I don't know! I don't know! I don't know! I don't know!
Starting point is 00:34:10 It's like a world record, Olympic left. I don't need to ask people was that impressive. No! I mean, is anyone beginning to get a message with it? I know what the dots for courtroom to do this. Yes! The judge is surely... ...set him free! I know the dots for courtroom to do this. Yeah. But, Jun, the Jun's a surely. Set him free.
Starting point is 00:34:27 Oh, no. Nick, congratulations. Oh, I should be going. You can't keep calling me. Oh, unbelievable. Everybody has been here for years. Right, yeah, yeah. Oh, well done.
Starting point is 00:34:37 It was terrible that Nick doesn't get one. All right, what now that we've seen it? Yeah. From a lay person's perspective, it looks like, obviously, just like flying a real aircraft, take off on landings the most dangerous parts part. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So you've had it in autopilot and you've got it. It's probably harder to put down than to pick up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:00 What you've got it. What you've got it? You're locked in. Where'd you learn it? I worked at a par a long time ago, and we had some downtime. And obviously during downtime you learn special skills. We may be riding high on the excitement of it all. In the aftermath of everyone's packing up unused butchers' paper,
Starting point is 00:35:18 we just looked at each other and we went, it's actually not a coin. We think it's an eight coin coin. Oh my god. We think it's an eight coin coin. Oh my god. We think it's an eight. British Adidas. I mean, there was a lot of talk, you know, obviously in the earlier part of the last century
Starting point is 00:35:32 about the four-minute mile. People didn't think it was possible. Exactly. Then, it got broken. Then, soon after that got broken very fast again. Yeah. Now there's a lot of people that go around four-minute mile. Theoretically, what's the limit here?
Starting point is 00:35:42 What's the limit? How many are you living in Bangal? Can we go seven and seven? Yeah, that's the question. I don't think I can. But that's where a young dreamer comes along. That's where a seven-year-old kid right now with enormous hands.
Starting point is 00:35:56 He's a dreamer. In 11 years' time, I will go seven and seven. But until then, you can. Thank you. Thank you for that chance, guys. It was incredible. It was incredible. I still were actually looking back at that video. That's it's gonna. It was incredible. It was incredible. It was incredible. I still actually looking back at that video.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Go and look at it. I mean, look at it on our pipes on the website. Yeah, it's true. It's your favorite pipe or go to homestay.com. You got it. The video is where you go, wow, what is he doing? Yeah, I actually said once you see something, you believe it, but I actually believe it less.
Starting point is 00:36:20 I mean, you've seen it because some, you're looking at his fingers and like some of them, some of the responsibility that he's pinky has is outrageous from what I can gather. One of his pinkies has the responsibility of corralling about three pots and he can talk to all fingers individually. We're mind some of them follow each other has individual digit communication rather than hurt. individual digit communication rather than hurt, hurt instructions. Hey, we mentioned last week week for the chomp choir where we have a lot of people coming together and chomping a song in chorus.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Yeah. There were some speculations to who might do the conducting. Mike said he didn't want it. He preferred to be with the choir chums. That's true, he did say he was like a soldier off at a promotion. You can be a general. No. Leave me in the trenches with my man.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Pretty much like Maverick in the new top gun. No spoilers. That's it for this. It's awesome. He should be very high ranking by the two know, two star admiral by now. Yeah, you're a captain highly decorated captain. You're the best, ma'am. That's that's.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Mike is that for singing. You are the Maverick of singing. I only decorated captain. Instead of promoted. Um, so we asked people to, if they would like to be a part of the choir, there are less mics than we thought. Instead, we had a lot of people putting their head up to be the conductor. We weren't taking requests to be the conductor. We want soldiers not generals.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Too many generals. Is there really not enough minions? Yes. A res, Josh Rodin, resume. I'm experienced, chomper, applying for the choir, but I'd also like to be the conductor. No. No, we're taking applications for, are you a vegetable? Do you want to be in the soup?
Starting point is 00:38:11 Not. I'm a carrot, no, I'd also like to be in the chef. LAUGHTER Exactly right. Someone said that Dave Grohl is a chomper from way back. Of course. Yeah, well, taking him as the conductor. Well, that's what I'd like to put out. This is him on Howard Stern. No way. Chomping. He's chomper from way back. Yeah, well, take him as the conductor. Well, that's what I'd like to put out.
Starting point is 00:38:25 This is him on Howard Stern. No way. Chomping, he's chomping. He's this drum and there. He wasn't doing a song, he was this drum and drum. That was Teeth going up and down. That was Teeth going up. That was the pace.
Starting point is 00:38:43 Yes. So the suggestion from Trace. Why is that start doing it with his mouth? So the suggestion today from Trace he was maybe, he should be the master of jumping. So let's just say there's an open invitation for Dave Crowe to be the chomp choir master. Now Mike is selecting the Choir as Mike.
Starting point is 00:39:02 What duties did we give Mike? I feel like we just let him back out of conducting, but isn't he kind of, he's selecting the mark, no, but is he selecting the Choir as he organized in the choir? I'd love him to run rehearsals. I'd like him to do a lot of logistics. Yeah, yeah. But there are a few people that have submitted some audio
Starting point is 00:39:19 for us to judge them as to whether they could be joining us. Enough, enough, I mean, I'm happy also, that the moment could also be a peter, right? That's always on the table. It's always on the table. Mike, you're going to be, I can see how they're practicing, you are going to be in charge with the chompers.
Starting point is 00:39:35 Let me play you this guy, and you can give us some of the things that you're against enough to work with, okay? to work with, okay? It was good. It was unbelievable. I thought it sounded like Castanette. It's exactly. Well, there's the mark. I just want to tell you the meaning of we got. How many choristers, chomp chomp chums of we had, put their hand up? Seven.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Okay. That's not enough. Now I'm leaning towards Peter at it. Only because we've, we still fear, is that fair Mike? We still have, yeah, definitely my side of the fence. We still have to, so there's three on your side. Yes, I saw those.
Starting point is 00:40:31 That we still have to book the Sydney Chopra House and see if it's open. Because I'm already looking, unfortunately, that, at that time of the year, it looks not about me. I'll make time, but, you know, we're filming Lego around like, you film Lego all the way up to Chris and Pete, it is tight. I know I'm choosing my hometown that we're doing this in.
Starting point is 00:40:49 They are longer days for me around there. Let's not worry about that. No, I'm not. I'm saying I'm over there. You are. I think I've fully support the chomping choir. My thought, I've thought we were gonna be. 40, well, 50.
Starting point is 00:41:04 I was thinking, I thought it'd be similar to a voice audition where you, we have someone with a roving mic, whether it's Ricky Lee, Kultaro, or someone else going along, like, ah, you're gonna apply for the Chalmykwai, I'll go, wow, it gives Chalmyk, oh, good luck out there. I thought we'd have that level of people.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Seven, I mean, a voice just had seven. And then he is your seven seven and if no one turns, that's it. Next week, cheers comes back. Do you remember cheers from the 90s? Well, we don't, but you might, so you've got to put it on. That's, yes. I thought, you think sister,
Starting point is 00:41:38 like you think the famous choirs of history and it is always a good 50 people. 50 is a kind of a minimum. To hear the echo, the boom of the chomping and you know, there only going to play three songs. That's the spectacle we're kind of chasing. So I just feel like we just see. But all I'm saying is, I don't know. It's teetering at the moment for me. Teetering. Teetering. On one side there's a teetering and we will chomp on the other there there's a petering and we could. Yep. I know, I mean, I know we've had a few famous peter outs on the show and we are known for them and that's
Starting point is 00:42:13 we should actually get, you know when we're moving, you know when we're moving studios. You know when we're moving studios soon. Don't say we'll do something. And it's actually funny no matter which way it goes. Could we get, could we ask, I would like us to get some stained glass in the new studio. There's Saint Peter out, our religious icon. And you know how no either saints are like, it's a whole saint in the window.
Starting point is 00:42:40 Saint Peter out, you just seem leaving the window or backing out the door. Saint Peter out, the Saint Peter, the Saint Peter out, you just seem leaving. We know, or backing out the door. Saint Peter out. Saint Peter out. That's how the patron show is Saint Peter out. Yeah.ish Nandy podcast will return next week.
