Starting point is 00:00:00 A list-nuff production. Activate your internet. Cos the Hamish and the podcast starts in three, two. Sorry, still buffering. One. A hoi-timi- HB, Hamish Blake. Oh, I am both a man and possibly a pencil, but play on. Hoi to me, to me.
Starting point is 00:00:32 We're pencils! So, to be to be. A couple of earnd boys. And I'll just be in the hole. Let me guess. Just to be very soft. No, to be very soft is a... Oh, yeah, you just read it. I gave Jack the very soft.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Ah! But nice for shading. Lovely. Oh, it can be difficult to use the 2B. Just a very tricky piece of lead. Yes. I can do it. That's you though Jack.
Starting point is 00:00:58 But Dark-Aid, well it's 2Bs. A Dark-A-Blast. Yes, it's very soft. When used correctly, exquisite results. A tricky to handle. Yes. That is like me in When used correctly, exquisite results. That tricky to handle. Yes. That is like me in life. So well, we're pointed.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Thank you, Andy. That's a pleasure. And HB, classic all-rounder. Not too hard, not too soft. Reliable. Well, he always there. Not winning the Archibald with an HB, but it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it West. Ahoj also to Ashton from Canada who used habishnary.com to tell us what she's been up to.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Hey Miss Shandy, Jack. I hope the man did a break treat too well. No, it seems like Jack has a break most of the time as this is just a hobby form. But I thought I let you guys know that I got my Must Be Nice hat. Unfortunately my head is too small. Luckily if it's my boyfriend's head though, however when he saw it he didn't quite get the must be nice slogan. That's when I knew he had lost touch with the common man. So I sent him to episode one and told him to call me when he gains
Starting point is 00:02:01 touch and when he gets here, Riley I hope you're in touch with the common mat now. Good honor. I like how she sent him to episode one. I don't know if sending him banish like to a zone that a wizard would send you. Like I'm banishing you to episode one, and here she is 200 plus in the future, waiting patiently for him to catch up.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Lovely, Aston. Very rare, too. When someone gives us a bit of custom feedback on the hats, you do have to address it. Very rare to have that size head that adds to it. Yeah, exactly. We had the complaint that they were too small. I hope that's a message to that person for coming after us
Starting point is 00:02:48 because there are other people out there at the other end of the spectrum. Different bodies, different shapes, still always nice. For a boyfriend to get a free heart, that must be very nice. I have to start with an investigation. It's an area we've tried before and it ends up with a lot of pink, uh, finger pointing and I don't want it to. So pink finger pointing? It's probably the artist known as pink sometimes trapezes in.
Starting point is 00:03:15 And she will go, you're the culprit. You're the culprit. Yeah, last time a lot of finger pointing, don't want it to have to devolve to that. I think we should have stalled it before getting too defensive. Yeah, sure. It will. There's one thing we do better than Peter out zeroes finger points. Numerous people. You probably saw it on your side of the fence as well. Numerous people talking about a moment that happened at 3.44 minutes in to episode 205 this year.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Yeah, I have seen that. There's a number of emails, Blake, shout to you, Jordan, made it very clear as well, also on the Reddit. I've been alluded to, it's been some discussion on the Reddit for this one. The Reddit topic reads, did anyone else hear a fart in the latest F? Oh my God. Oh my God. Now, Jack, is the guilty party for the last one?
Starting point is 00:04:12 Oh my God. I had hoped it sealed up that kind of phone. Oh, no, no, man, now it is mostly unlikely to be me if it was really me the first time. Because you're not full of fart anymore. No, well, I. Because you're so, you're not all the fart anymore. No, I am. Because you got one of you two annuals out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:29 I fart so infrequently that if it was me last time, that's like seeing Hayley's comment. You wouldn't see it again in the same year. Exactly. It's once in a lifetime time. I'd be, but if you were, if you were Hayley, wouldn't, and you didn't want to be detected, wouldn't the next year be the perfect time to come back
Starting point is 00:04:49 I'll just try to sneak on back So yes, let's read Blake because he's the probably the most that old approach to it. He says There is a fart at 345 Okay, so he's not even it's not even up for today Not even it couldn't be a door creek or a mic. He writes. There absolutely is a fart at 3.45. Yeah, I'm thinking. Okay, so he's not even up for date. Not even, it couldn't be a door creak or a mic. He writes, there absolutely is a fart at 3.45 in, or 3.44 in the episode 205. I'll leave you guys to speculate as to who that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:05:17 We'll. And so we've done that. So I suppose what we're, yeah, we've barely begun. I've barely begun. Let's have a listen. I've got some theories having heard. Well, I like we've barely begun. I've barely begun. Let's have a listen. I've got some theories having heard of. Well, I like having fresh ears here, because I'm not, you know, I'm actually convinced.
Starting point is 00:05:31 There's a lot of noises that happen in a studio off mic, and I can think you sort of hear what you want to hear. So let's have a listen. But yeah, we can't stress how era-free this previous job was. Anyway, trying to think about it, you've had it with the family. That's a fight. And again, again, again, can I just say, and I would have said this,
Starting point is 00:05:55 I hadn't heard that audio before, I think the man speaking, I'm not sure who that was, but the man speaking most of it is clearly innocent because he pauses. Absolutely doesn't break strife. You can fun speak anyway. No, but with Jacky, he does break strife. Okay, let's have a look. Let's go to the same one again, Jack, because he didn't get the impression.
Starting point is 00:06:16 He actually pauses. He pauses. He pauses. He pauses. But yeah, we can't stress how era-free this previous job was. Anyway, trying to think about it and then actually I'm actually thinking of having a man talking to me anyway as if to divert any suspicion
Starting point is 00:06:34 Jack have another listen you literally admit what part of your body you are thinking about as you fart have another listen but yeah we can't stress how era-free this previous job was. Anyway, trying not to think about it, keep out of the family. What a just fart and say fart. You know, I think you did. I think your brain was so shocked that you farted. That's the true one.
Starting point is 00:06:59 I'm nervous. He's so surprised he farted. It's scrambled his systems and internally he's gone, what was that? And then his nervous system's gone. That was our part. And Jack's reading the printout out loud, accidentally he's a part. That's what's happened.
Starting point is 00:07:15 And if you listen back to it, I was thinking it was you, but if you're right, if you listen back to it, he pronounces it BUWT. It's not. I'm not. You're the extra log T. But yeah, we can't stress how era-free this previous job was.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Anyway, trying to think about it, you're out of the pan. That is a short, short, to the word, but that is 20. That's a half T. But that's, yeah. What have my butt do? It's sort of the longer version of your thoughts. Well, I might not again. I sent it to the lab just to get the Floor farting question just
Starting point is 00:07:51 Magnified a little bit just amplify just a little bit so we can hear it to see if we've heard Any either of you to make that sound before because obviously I'm not This is just a huge shot just the fart Anyway Okay, yeah So this is just a huge draw just the fart. Yeah, anyway, try it. Okay. Anyway, try it. I mean, the other thing is they're jacked. You got two man busy talking, which usually means that our bodies are focused.
Starting point is 00:08:17 You know, you know, when you're on air, jacked, like you, you can playly focus. You're in it 100%. Your body's in control. Yep. One person's slacking off and not really saying anything. Yes. And what happens when you slack off? Your muscles relax. And what happens when your muscles relax?
Starting point is 00:08:33 What's one of the most important muscles to never relax is Fingter. Especially if you're in the middle of the night. I know. Also, the end is taking such a deep body break that the guard is let down. Can we have a go back to the first one? Let's have a listen to when Andy stops talking. But yeah, we can't stress how era-free this previous job was. Anyway, trying to think about it, you've had the family.
Starting point is 00:08:58 He's completely gone. He's completely out of it. He's completely floppy. It's interesting. It's an interesting take, but I would say. The guy. He's completely floppy. It's interesting, it's interesting, it's an interesting take, but I would say. The candy's completely floppy. I would say when you're exasperated and you're passionate, that's often when something sneaks out. More.
Starting point is 00:09:16 No, no, when you passionate, that's a tightening of the body. Yeah, when I'm passionate, I'm completely braced. It's well known I brace when I'm passionate. Let's have a listen to it slow down. Just for fun. Yeah. Anyway. It's the butt. It's the butt. So close. No, no, no. Let's go back and talk about the bandage. The bandage is no person to get double t. The admission don't you, the yellow perv admission of what? What body part let him down.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Okay, let's just be fair then quick vote. Well that is finger pointing. If I would be finger pointing. No, we're putting our fingers up. We're putting our fingers at the ceiling. Yeah, this is moving away from speculation and moving into definite finger pointing. Yeah, this is no fear. No, voting is just heavy speculation. Just formalises the speculation. Not a complete, it doesn't mean you completely guilty. It just, you know, heavily incidented.
Starting point is 00:10:11 To me, it's been a fair process, because I came here, sure, a sure that it was hamish. And then when we fell, I thought, oh, what? Yeah, or butt. I'm like, oh, of course that's what he's doing. So I've been supposed to vote for Jack. Two to one against Jack.
Starting point is 00:10:25 And Jack's vote's streaking from the record. Kaz Kanu, trust to Fada. LAUGHTER MUSIC Hey, and people turn to this podcast if they want the upper hand in any social situation. And the community's becoming so strong because we also lend each other power moves to help
Starting point is 00:10:45 each other. You know, gain dominance. We're a power move co-op, Panda. Got a move, give a move. Need a move, take a move. That is the way the system is built in the new world order. So let's jump into a few more. I feel like I have a bumper crop of asshole moves this week.
Starting point is 00:11:08 A bit like a particularly. Oh, man, they're not too brutal, but I'd say there's just a... There's just 10% more twist of the knife. What? I don't think mine are all assholes. But, okay, well, come to Puppa if you want. If you're after it, and I've rarely said this before on the podcast. Or if ever, if you want that GC, GC A hole.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Move. All right, Kane Rogers writes this in a hoi-cane. He said, a hoi-boys got a sandwich-related power move for you. If you're in a situation where you're making sandwiches for yourself and a friend or partner, cut yours the standard half slices, but cut theirs in quarters, I'll put it all in. It would also work with toast and soldiers in a non-dippy scenario. That's true. And it comes in from Dan, when in a work meeting and someone is writing on the whiteboard,
Starting point is 00:12:03 if they spell a word wrong, immediately walk up to the whiteboard, grab a red marker and draw a squiggly line under the miscalc word, then say nothing and sit back down, leaving them to look like quite the fool. No, you auto-correct. I don't like that. I really like that. Um, I ain't palmo from Tyler Lam. I have a friend who named his dog after one of our friends full first name and last name. Now every time someone brings up the friend, people have to clarify whether it's the dog or...
Starting point is 00:12:48 Oh, here's another one. This is from Mick Shivers. Simple, but I did promise A-Hole moves. When you're in a room with a few people and the person you want to have the power over walks in, instead of saying the well accepted, well, well, look what the cat dragged in. Say, well, well, well, look what the cat shatter up. LAUGHTER MUSIC What the? Um, softer one.
Starting point is 00:13:12 For the first scenario, you're a dead bird, which isn't great, but in the last scenario, you're a catpe, which is worse. It is worse. Um, Jack Nielsen, a Horde you Jack, uh, softer one here. Uh, when you're doing a quiz and you're the person reading out the questions, before a Jack Nielsen, or Horde you Jack, soft one here. When you're doing a quiz and you're the person reading out the questions, before a very obscure question,
Starting point is 00:13:30 add the comment, oh, this one's common knowledge. Most times people will stay silent questioning this, you pitty-ditty, before they jump in. LAUGHTER MUSIC Oh, my life. MUSIC Another classic poem of, uh, this is from Lockling McKinn.
Starting point is 00:13:48 When you're on a flight and the person in the seat next to you starts a movie, immediately start the same movie, but fast forward two minutes. The person sitting next to you will have no choice but to have their entire movie spoiled by your screen. Really like that. Really like that. This is from Mishana, Poundmuth, for anywhere, any situation, she says. Just ask someone which friends character they are most like, and wait for them to respond with jolly,
Starting point is 00:14:21 Phoebe, Rachel, Ross, Monica or Chandler, and then say, no, you're a gumfer. Good classic. All right, this is, again, I promised, I did promise a Mayhul moves here. From Tom, how move for haircuts? If you're a gentleman or lady that's got longer hair and has decided it's time for a buzz cut. You're going to shave your head, right? Go into the barber and ask for a more stylish, complex haircut. At the end when they say, what do you think? Look at yourself and the men say, you know what?
Starting point is 00:14:57 Just buzz it. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, shock. For the both of you, we'd be fair to say in relationships, it's important to compromise a lot. That's a name of the game. But sometimes we'll be saying relationships, it's important to stand your ground. That's the name of your game. Because sometimes I think a relationship can be like the armrest on a plane. And if you give too much away, that person in the middle just takes that bit and then looks for the next inch they want to take. Yep, and they're sitting on your lap. Yes. I've let my guard down.
Starting point is 00:15:59 You still looking for a shot. Yes, sorry, I haven't been listening. I can't. I mean, more for you, Andy. It's always a danger. It's always a danger. It's always a danger. It's always a danger. Sorry, I haven't been listening. I can't, I... I mean, more for you, Andy. It's always a danger. It's always a danger. It's always a danger.
Starting point is 00:16:10 It's like a cottony's garron driven home. Have some old CD sound effects somewhere. I've let my guard down when it comes to making the bed. Okay. And now I find myself having to use two different sprays while making the bed. Oh, no. Is that where I put it?
Starting point is 00:16:32 Yeah, I don't have one, but. Okay. I think it's nice for the listeners to hear a dress rehearsal. Your attack rehearsal without the Santa fix. So question for you too. Do I, do I, do I, do I, of you use a spray at all when you make the bed? What's a cleansing spray or a smelly mist?
Starting point is 00:16:51 Yes. So this is the situation I found myself in. We use one for the kids. Grote who makes bad dream buster, which is just a lavender spray. It makes the kids have a nice calm sleep. Gee, don't tell that on the end up with a third spray. The um, uh, okay, down to guaranteed to stop bad dreams. If it's just the room scent type sprays, once we went to one of those fancy shops where they sold them,
Starting point is 00:17:15 and I couldn't believe for just a smell how much they cost. Pretty good. Get in here. No, and be per all the way. Above the bed, get a sparky to put a pow-up when it above your bed and pssss, like a toilet freshener or not.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Nothing to do with smelling. These sprays, what do you name? What do you name? Pendant of the spells. These are two different. What are those sprays for? This is exactly my point. So first question, another question for you guys.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Do you guys have top a top sheet? Or you just do? Well, no. Well, you can shade under the, shade under the dinner. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Somehow that slipped by me. When I first started dating Beck, it was just to go in there.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Do you know? And now, now a top sheep's got in there. I think when I gave away the top sheep, that was the start of my demise with regards to new things coming in. She began to see the bed as her. Yes, yes. There's a top sheep's pretty pointless.
Starting point is 00:17:59 I think so as well, Jack. But I don't really like it. Yeah, I like it. They get a bit hot. Anyway, so this is my setup now. Obviously, I first spray is like an antibacterial something spray that Beck likes to put on the bottom sheet. Well, I'm like, I don't know why we need this.
Starting point is 00:18:18 We want a sanitizer. Like a sanitizer. It's not like we're doing anything crazy. If I had known about that when I lived by myself, the she's would never have got what. You'd be like, I'm getting into bed clean. Plus I'm sterilizing it. This could last 100 years without a wash. You eventually just freeze be the she's down.
Starting point is 00:18:39 She's on off the bed. So, before, so this is what Becca's told me today, this morning, before the top sheet comes up, I have to use the spray, the disinfectant spray, right? The top sheet comes up, then the dune comes up and then top sheet has to fall back over the dune. Yeah, like a hotel. During this folded bit,
Starting point is 00:19:02 is when there's additional spray that decreases the creases Or like a non-irning spray that's it and she's like making fresh pasta After I've done that and let that set then I can put on the pillows as long as like done that and let that set, then I can put on the pillows, as long as I can. I wish there would be a thousand, I mean, we've got thousands of pillows, but that's just every. No, I've said there's no throw pillows now, but we have three, three pillows each, but she says I must crush the top, which is the, we have so many pillows on our bed that
Starting point is 00:19:38 you have to, you could never have this scenario. The decorative pillows have been removed and you're ready to sleep, and you can see the floor. You'll never have that unless you take them to another room. That's too much. It's like we have, it's like we get in our bed and then create a ball pit, like a play area around the whole rest of the room, just full of pillows. Well, what would be worse then, if I was to try and negotiate out of the spray? Well, what would be worse then if I was to try and negotiate out of the spray? Don't cave on a pillow. Don't, my God.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Do you think Rebecca will always know when you're spraying? Could you just say I've sprayed and she wouldn't know? Because if it's not scented. Could you mix the sprays and offer it to it one? So at least you then have a shampoo and conditioner. Yeah, even the band-up on it. You at least have like a head and shoulders, like a one pump. One pump. One pump.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Yeah. Then you go, look, the problem is, what's the harm in having antibacterial and anti-crinkle on the bottom sheet? We like that. It's because we need you. And what's the harm? Do you have any, what do you mean? One sprays meant to be on the bottom and then the thing.
Starting point is 00:20:37 No, no, but I was just saying put both sprays on everything because name at time where you want more crinkles. You know what, more crates. I still have to spray twice. Yeah, but you've got one bottle. Yeah, I'm just kidding. Saying tip them into one big, you know, spray bottle. Or maybe get a backpack with the ones you pump,
Starting point is 00:20:51 like for the weeds spray bottle. Like, you just give them to, like, control berms. All I'm saying is, I don't know where I've got, how I've got to a spray situation. I've never even heard of this. I've never heard of anyone spritzing the bed like this. And I don't know how to get out of this situation. Do you have any suggestions on how you can wind back from a spray
Starting point is 00:21:11 and any suggestions of where it might lead to next? You have to, well, I mean, for your, to use your previous knowledge, I'm not saying I support this, but you'd probably, you're playing a lot of defense. I noticed. And the lines are just getting pushed back But you're obviously not holding the ground. That's exactly what I say now in classic military terms here What you need to do is open up another front of attack
Starting point is 00:21:33 Well, you have to put up like a Colton blues poster like a teen poster in the bedroom Well, sorry, you have to start doing something to the walls and open up a new front that diverts her attention And then start compromising there compromise on the current front. That's how peace talks happen So I'm he shot Hey, thank you to the junior officers that send into me song sleuths And I really only want to prosecute the ones that I think are standouts. Yeah. I've battled with this one because it's a friend of the show again. Damn, it just happened more often than not, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:22:16 You know, but we'll see whether we clear them or not the end. Do you want to do it anonymously? You and I. You and I... So we go to a and I. Yeah. You and I. So we go to a different podcast. Yeah, change our voices. But anyway, let's jump into it. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:22:30 This sounds like this, sounds like this, sounds like this. If this sounds like that, I'm your man. Andy Lee, Song Sluth. Ted Sheeran, him. Ted Sheeran. This is a big takedown. And he's also. What a guy.
Starting point is 00:22:47 And he's also just come out of, he's won a legal battle just recently, Ed, with regards to a different song. So I hate to throw these things. Was he? Did he really? Yeah. A real life one or one? A real life one.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Not one. No offense to your court. Not one of these silly ones, but like a real, an actual one. Yeah, it was, and it was great about it. He just said, look for all performers. We've only got certain amount of chords. You've talked, you've said this beforehand. There's only certain amount of chords.
Starting point is 00:23:14 As a non-musical person, find it incredible that you look at a piano, for example, 88 keys, a fun trivia question, 88 keys on the piano. I can't believe that it's been going on as long as it has with new songs getting invented, I mean. Bark and Mozart and those guys must have looked at the piano back in the van Gogh and this has 20 years left, Max. It's actually. They've done all the songs.
Starting point is 00:23:38 They would be blown away, they'd be going, kidding me. You know, they would hear chariots of fire or something. I mean, I know it's not recent, but they would be like, oh, we have a wee. That would have been 300 years ago. Yeah, God, if I didn't come up with that one, it wouldn't be, it wouldn't be like that. It's true. It's true. I mean, I'm going to play you the song and see if either of you, I know this, this, this song that could be accused of being like, Hamish will know, okay? He's one of nine songs.
Starting point is 00:24:08 It's in his wheelhouse. Okay, this is the ad here, it's here in the song. Just dancing with my eyes closed, cause everywhere I look I still see you. Nothing's jumping to mind. It's good. I know this isn't the segment, but I, I, that's a fun, that a good song.
Starting point is 00:24:35 I don't listen to A-Day albums, so I've not heard that song before, but and I know you're not playing it to get my opinion on the song. And I know I'm not in charge of like nominating good songs, but yeah. Sounds like it's really good. It sums up for me.
Starting point is 00:24:46 Good track. I like the song as well. And I mean, this is the song it's been accused of sounding like. Everything is our song. Everything is cool when you're part of a team. Now, just because you slow something down doesn't make it a new song. That's what we've just discussed before.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Obviously, we go harder on those that keep the exact same tempo time and key. That's the thing, I mean, because for me, it really is like the tempo of everything is awesome. That's one of its key features. Well, let's hear it sped up. Sped up. I think I... features. Well, it's here. It's sped up sped up. Okay. Oh, oh, oh. Just dancing with my eyes closed. Because everywhere I look, I still see you. Everything is awesome.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Oh, everything is cool when you're part of a team. I think, and again, this is just, it wouldn't hire me as he's lawyer. Like, but if this was happening in court, it stands for open, be like, you're on a, forgive me, but there's about six notes in everything is awesome that form the tune. I think Ed only kids about two or three of the first ones, and then he branches off on his own, which I think you can put down to coincidence. That is, that is part of the thing, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:26:02 Often, if it's the majority of notes We you and I ticking it off and I actually do is that just mayor his you guys are musical He's not actually hitting the same D a b f Whatever you're not doing that but the second part yeah the first part is almost identical I feel but then the second part sounds different. Yeah, then he gets and then he gets going And he just goes off on his own thing. I mean, what are you there? What are you seeing? Where are you drawing? Where are you drawing? And then you think when you get to the third note,
Starting point is 00:26:28 he's like, oh gosh, this actually sounds like everything is awesome. Yeah, go left. Anyway. Yeah. So you can do this. Yeah. So I think you did just in time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:40 You know what it feels like? It feels like a meeting where they're going around going. You know, name it. What's everyone's favorite thing that's been going at the business? Then you start talking and you're like, oh shit, my answer's a lot like Kelly's. I also do agree with a few things Kelly's been saying.
Starting point is 00:26:55 However, not to reception. Then you go off on a new idea. And I feel like that's what it's done. That's right. Well, let's, I mean, again, you have to put it through the lab. So let's do half of each rather than the back to back. Everything is a song. Because everywhere I look, I still see you.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Nah, he's going down, and I think they go up. OK, well, this is the opposite then, back to back. Just dancing when my eyes closed. Yeah. Everything is cool when you're part of a team. Yeah. That's not going to look good. That's not going to look good.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Again, if he was accused of being accused of copying a... Like, let's say Griffin was accused of copying a lion. You look at the head. Oh, yeah, that's a copy. Get a little further back. Oh, well, there's wings. It is a bit, it is a bit, it really does depend if you're comparing the snout or the body. I agree that in the snout comparison. Yes. Hang on. But he had to, he did have the idea. Yeah. You'd have the idea of putting some wings on it. Is Mike, I can't see Mike from here, but is he loving that? Because I think Griffin's a pure and Harry Potter.
Starting point is 00:28:07 No, no. Okay, I love it. Absolutely loving it. Love it. Is it so to continue the magical creature, is it a Griffin or is it unicorn? Like how much is it like a horse? Actually, the more we hear it, the more it tends to swim. That's true though.
Starting point is 00:28:26 That's true. Would you say a unicorn is a horse? No. No, it's got a different species. And I think, I mean, could they breed? Unicorn and have a crack, but that's just out of arrogance. Because they know how special they are. I think, and this is not just because Ed's been
Starting point is 00:28:44 a friend of the show and coming in front. A dear friend of the show. I think he's this is not just because Ed's been a friend of the show and come and meet friends, a dear friend of the show, I think he's in the queer. Unfortunately, I love Justice, and I would have come down and I'm like an absolute griffin on a raw piece of meat that gains all good from me too. I would have come down to him like a unicorn, like a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude.
Starting point is 00:29:08 I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude.
Starting point is 00:29:16 I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm a dude.
Starting point is 00:29:24 I'm a dude. I'm a dude. I'm Um, we're going to get Mike in for a sec because, uh, he just has sent me, I guess he didn't want to come in and talk about this. Like, I come into my microphone. Yeah, come in Mike. Mike, um, you know, you sent me, I guess out of, um, because you didn't want to cause a scene or burn me too hard in front of my friends. Uh, he sent me a taxi just as we finished saying, by the way mate, Griffin's got the head of an eagle as well.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Right. And I assume that the Harry Potter version of the Griffin. I don't think Griffin appears in Harry Potter as far as I'm aware. It doesn't. I think you'll have a finger on Griffin door. Yeah. It doesn't the opposite. I think you're the old guy who haven't had a Griffin door. Yeah, he's got a Phoenix, but traditionally, the Griffin... It doesn't one bite malfoy or something? That's a hypocrite.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Oh, sorry. You're a hypocrite. Hey, I've got to remind you, we only got into it for two books and I watched Halfa movie. So I understand the canon doesn't run that deep. He's a great for not a lot. So Mike's gone to me, Mike's gone to me, hey, the whole thing you've just done about Griffin's with, you know, the head of a, you know, the lion checks out, the wheel is doesn't work. I would assume people know what to do about that, but then Mike rattles me with this stuff. And I understand we have people that listen to our show that like details. Mike, it is true. I had a quick Google,
Starting point is 00:30:44 usually it is the head of an eagle as well, which I just wasn't in my memory banks. However, I also typed in what's a winged lion called? That can be called a griffin, too. Really? Soz, man. But where has that appeared? Oh, I don't know, just not in Harry Potter,
Starting point is 00:31:03 like in Greek mythology or in ancient cultures, or on the flag, on flags. I think there's a flag with a winged lion on it too. Is it like whales or something? Yeah, I think, oh, now, where's the dragon? Oh, now people are going to correct us on this one. I know I said like, but you do see winged lions on flags and stuff like that, like on crests. Yes. Okay, so I haven't seen a lot of eagle heads though. I'm not disputing that. I'm not disputing that. Okay, so I am seeing a lot of eagle heads, though.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I'm not disputing that. I'm not disputing that. That's why we've reopened the mics. Yes, the head of an eagle and wings of an eagle appear, but you can get in the version, although in cyclopidia Britannica, what is a winged line called Griffin? Thank you, Andy.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I understand it's not the most popular model model and it probably is being phased out, but as it stands to date. No, but even saying a winged line doesn't necessarily, because it is part line. It just goes on to say the head of a lion. It doesn't say the head of a lion. It's always the head of a bird, I feel. Not always. I think that's what we're saying there.
Starting point is 00:32:04 I think in the case of the end sheeran, I wouldn't want to see ends defense be overthrown because of a legal technicality. Because of an analogy inquiry. I was, I admit it was a sloppy analogy and you know, it was grabbed at in the heat at the moment. Not perfect. So I do apologize for that. I'll cop that. I'll wear that. I was the one that introduced Gryffinds into this conversation. If you imagine the bit about how you go or it can sometimes be... I literally write, what is a wing lion called? And yeah, I'm in... Here is Gryffind, also spelled Gryffind or Gryffind,
Starting point is 00:32:35 and then called the typical creature. Yeah, it does go a bit later on. See them Wikipedia. Wikipedia, there are all these pictures, go down to Wikipedia. There's all these pictures of lions with wings. Wikipedia, there are all these pictures. Go down to Wikipedia. There's all these pictures of lions with wings. So it exists. And they're casually called a Gryffin too.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Well, I don't think I've, I haven't read that anywhere. Yeah, okay. Okay, here we go. What's this? You're looking at the Wikipedia page wing to lion. Not a certain thing. I'm just saying why I'm investigating why this might be in my and some people's memories that it is that other version of Griffin exists.
Starting point is 00:33:16 Here we go. Is there a winged lion? Yes, the winged lion is a mythical creature known in some cultures as the Griffin. Okay, so I'm just shout out to those cultures that do have the version of the Griffin. Oh, they'll appreciate it for you. I think that's awesome. So I'll make sure we're looking after everyone. Thanks Mike.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Yes, technically, saying that, I mean to do a march on Parliament, I'll see you if you're not re-breaking those, both types of Griffin. I just want to miss the kind of shared that Ricky knows is both types of Griffin.
Starting point is 00:33:44 That's all, if you want to be, if you want to be exclusionary, that's up to you, Michael. Quick question for the team. As technology advances, what can you name an area? The area I'm thinking of? So it's tricky. Can you name the area I'm thinking of that is one of the hardest hit with the advancement in or the change in the way that we consume music now? Oh, CDs.
Starting point is 00:34:20 And he's warm. And he's really warm. No, no, sorry, you're bang on with CD's, a special type of CD. So yes, you're correct. CD sales are down. Geez, I've got a very special prize for you. And I think I will give it to you for that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:35 At the end, at the end of this, good boy. Well, what was the answer CD single? A specific type of CD. It's hard to get, but it's pretty close. The buskers CD. I saw a busker on the weekend. We're in Sydney at Darling Harbour, and there's got a pint saxophone there. And I don't want to...
Starting point is 00:34:54 I was trying to sell his own CD. Any bus, a lot of buskers do this. He's playing to a MIDI backing track, and he's hunking away. And look, and I love, you gotta get out there, you can't wait to hear a session musician before you bask. I mean, it's okay to have a few mistakes and went on the job.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I would say if I was in critical of his honking, he was very, very confident in the lower tones. And then once the, did the notes get harder when they go higher? It can do, there's a sweet spot. Do you know, you know, a few of us played sax, like, but isn't it just a different button? That's what I'm higher. The can do. There's a sweet spot. Do you know, you know, a few of us played sax, like, but isn't it just a different button? That's what I hear.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Well, that's what I'm not. But there's need to be a threshold. Pass which it became worse than a 50-50 that he was gonna hit it. No, often a higher note. But you know what I was trying to remember, the song was Dance in Queen. So it was like,
Starting point is 00:35:42 boop boop boop boop boop boop. So it was like, it really bad. Team Queen, yeah, he was really panicking up there like that. You're doing something like a bit, but I was doing a bad, facts of my own, to be fair to hand. Might have been completely accurate. But then, then he get into the, and he's honken very confident. He that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that So a tire hole that went off your lips tighter to squeeze out. So as you tire over a long day of honking Yeah, he might have lost the end loose lips. You could have which is lips that this won't deliver for you Particularly if you haven't practiced much and dangerous around dying hub because he was near the maritime Sam which has a lot of ships and loose lips do flips do six and you're I was going but see he you could see the panic inside to the point where he took two verses off or two courses of it just not along while the
Starting point is 00:36:54 midi played behind him. You know what he's he's representing a player that's out in his legs. He's long but he probably hasn't made the money he needs. So he's like, I know. Unfortunately, an Uber driver that needs to go and have a sleep, but he's tired. Push in it. It's dangerous, honk, and pushing it too hard. And there was a really good guy that was playing drums with these drumsticks on fire and juggling the drumsticks, like 100 metres down. He was playing with his credit. So not only did I feel sorry for the notes that were out of reach for this guy, who was doing his best.
Starting point is 00:37:26 But then you see the CD at the front, in that like, in that like, and 25 bucks, 25 dollars. I mean, you just go, yeah. Well, I mean, even five, you just go, yeah, hey, like, finding someone with a CD player,
Starting point is 00:37:40 that's gotta be less than one unit a year that's being sold. Yeah, I mean, the optimism to even put it out. It is you are fishing for unicorns. Yeah. You're not going to find them underwater, but you're probably not going to find them on land either. So just every day when he puts that out, he must have speak going, I don't know. Maybe today's the day.
Starting point is 00:38:03 Next time we're up on insid me, should we do a run on buying ECBs? I mean, I'd love to. I assume he's there, if he's there for the week. We're there for the week. Head on down and we'll coordinate it. We'll do what I wish. I wish. We'll tweet it. We'll put it out. We'll be like, we'll stream, put it on Facebook Live and we'll be like, all right. Let's go. He's here. Let's just bring 20, 25 bucks. Well, we just come down. We'll give you a catch. We'll fly him.
Starting point is 00:38:28 We'll fly him. And just make his day. And there's a fellow busker, you know, I spent one hot afternoon in Melbourne busking. Really? Year 11. What were you doing? Juggling at Southgate.
Starting point is 00:38:38 All right. Tough. Tough gig. No one was interested in just the normal three-ball juggle. The only trick that got any sort of crowd interest was where I juggle two lemons in an apple. And as I got the apple, I'd take a bite out of it as I was going around.
Starting point is 00:38:53 I reckon I ate about eight apples. And I think I'm at about $12 or $13. And how'd you see these? Yeah. Yeah. It's just the noise. The noise of fruit hitting sweaty palms with the occasional bite. Crunching.
Starting point is 00:39:07 I'm actually hearing a 15-year-old go, oh my God, so many apples. So sick. I feel so sick. Before we, I know you've dinged the dingy before you cancel it, are you forgetting I promised your prize? What? Didn't I say forgetting C.D. is right? Yes, it's right. You get a prize? Yes forgetting I promised you a prize? What? Didn't I say forgetting C. Lee is right?
Starting point is 00:39:25 Yes, C. Lee's you get a prize? Yes. How would you be interested in a top of the line car? Well, what kind of car? I don't know. This car? My car key. Congratulations, Andy.
Starting point is 00:39:40 You've won your car back. But I saw my car keys on the kitchen bench. Yeah, I stole them. Yeah, while I went... You stole them, right? Because I went and put all our dishes away for... I thought you'd walked off and I thought... I was just putting them in the dishwasher
Starting point is 00:39:53 when I came out and my keys went there. Well, I thought to myself, he's left these keys here, I'll reproduce them at an opportune moment. And I've done it to end the show. And you always go, how did you do that? Was the whole day a setup? And I've done it to end the show and you always go. How did he do that?
Starting point is 00:40:06 With the whole day he set up. Wasn't it? Was this merely jumping on an opportunity? Thanks for listening. The Hamish Nandy podcast will return next week. Catch up or contribute at hamishanandie.com. .
