Starting point is 00:00:00 A least-knife production. Activate your internet. Because the Hamish and the podcast starts in three, two. Sorry, still buffering. One. A hoi Timmy Ent. Hamish. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:27 He ends. Just ends? Yeah. I thought it was your friend, Antana. Thank you. Um, and the full name, Ent. You know, isn't that right? No, that's close.
Starting point is 00:00:39 Oh, not close. That's what an Ent he was. Yeah, that's true. A Hoi Timmy Ork. Yeah. Oh, we're in the Lord of's what an auntie was. Yeah, that's true. A whole, a whole to me, orc. Yeah. Oh, we're in the Lord of the Rings. You're the big tree.
Starting point is 00:00:49 He's got it. Am I really? Do you know that? Is that the, is that, is the big tree an acronym? Oh, I just don't, I only know it from the, the crossword, that you know how we've been doing the New York Times crossword. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:01:01 So, and the auntie comes in a bit, I guess because it's an easy word to squish into three, let it. An almost Nordic tree, or like a... Oh, right. So, and the A and T comes in a bit, I guess because it's an easy word to squish into three letters. Anomas Nordic tree or like a large tree like creatures that protects certain forests from the orcs in Middle Earth. So, am I am I an E and T or is it just called an end? It's called an end. Just called an end. Okay, Right, so it doesn't stand for anything. Yeah. And so what are you, golem? No, And so what are you, golem? No, no!
Starting point is 00:01:23 I'm gonna go in. There you go, Gandalf. Oh, the ring. Oh, the ring. No specific things. Background extra. The leader of the ends is Traybied. That's his name.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Not a great fact, but obviously Orch, Jackie or an Orch, you're a Dark Lord, and I'm a Hobbit, a human light creature, every two. I do it. Even though your fact wasn't very good. Did I ever tell you about the guys about the time? I think it was about, oh, it had been 10 years ago. It was in Queenstown in New Zealand, where they filmed a lot of Lord of the Rings.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Oh, yes. And they were doing like tours around, like we can go and see location tours. And this was much more, oh, maybe this, yeah, let's say around about 2014 2015 so the movies had been out but it was peak like higher yeah is it peak hysteria still to cash in on going to see where like the locations were and so and I were walking around and we realized we were nearer to and so I was like well let's just hang nearby and get a fact. About, let's just get one for free here.
Starting point is 00:02:27 And the guy was at a tree, like, and I was like, we're not even that much of an old tree, certainly not named for a tree beard. And he was like, everyone gather a bit closer, like, look at the tree here, see the trunk? It was one of the big branches. See where this cut's made? Gather around so you can see it,
Starting point is 00:02:43 like, make sure everyone get a good look. And it was a, you know, a largeish, like size of a face. Yeah, largeish branch had it sort of been cut of the tree. And everyone's like, if you feel like taking photos and something goes, the film production did this. They cut this tree.
Starting point is 00:02:59 So they could get the catering truck along here. It wouldn't. Not worth a fuck with that. Oh, she did not. That was the fact on the tour. You can see some tree trimage for a logistical reason behind the scenes. I don't know how well the photos are hard
Starting point is 00:03:18 of the best of times, but if that's making the slides there for anyone as they go back home to go, you're never gonna believe it. We saw the tree from Lord of the Rings. Someone as a damn man. No saw the tree from Lord of the Rings. Someone has a sit down with it. No, the tree they cut to make a unit base. Someone's there to sit there with their turd and show them that on some kind of slide dog.
Starting point is 00:03:35 And I never got a thought of that. Never got a bead on the guy, but I suspect he maybe... Maybe he must've done that. Maybe he didn't have the full license to do the location. So he had to get the scraps. Oh, oh, he also did teagues and a laner. They're in Nepal at the moment.
Starting point is 00:03:52 They uploaded what they've been up to at HamishNarity.com. Namaste, Hamish Nandi, and number six. Teagues and a laner here. We're coming to you from 5,416 metres altitude at Therong La Pass in Anapanasau, Kittenapal. Must be nice. We're using our very limited oxygen supplies to record this message. And let's hope we can find some trusty Wi-Fi to upload. Ciao!
Starting point is 00:04:19 Ciao ciao! Good stuff. Hard to know that you suspect that when they recorded this, that would have been the highest pass in the Himalayas. Of course, now, man, ever stood almost 9,000 meters, but that didn't form until he... As recently as tens of millions of years ago.
Starting point is 00:04:34 So back then, 5,000 probably was the max height of the Himalayas when they were... The Dan B. Uplot used and quick sister with habishnetty.com. And, uh, and Jack, speaking of websites and things on social media, I've got a quiz for you. Okay, I have a quiz. I've noticed more lately, particularly with Beck, that she's using acronyms.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I have no idea what they're about. And there's useful acronyms on social media that we probably aren't privy to. I mean, if it's not IRL or BRB, I'm out. Okay, well good luck. Here we go. Jack, Jack, are you in? I mean, I, I, I, I, the only thing I think I think I'll have an advantage on
Starting point is 00:05:17 is I listened to this, the radio session I work for also made a digital station called TikTok trending. And during the middle of, I put it on in the car sometimes so I get to feel like kids on TikTok. I would like to have the radio TikTok. But could you get TikTok? But a more convenient way than the app is to listen to the digital radio version of what's going on.
Starting point is 00:05:39 I guess even later than that. So during in the middle of the songs, it'll go, here's some more TikTok terminology for you. IRL means in real life. And there'll be more of a way, Jack. This is great because is it fair to say, Jack, some of the people that listen to your radio station may be at the stage in their life where they have been blessed with grandchildren?
Starting point is 00:05:58 Yes. That are perhaps entering their teenage years. So it's a way to connect with them. I would like a little cheat sheet. Because Jack clearly has age on his side, but also this exclusive access to TikTok treating radio. It's a cypher.
Starting point is 00:06:16 The way I'm gonna set up the game now is I'm gonna give it to Hamish. Yes, it's mine to lose. If you're supposed to lose, then Jack can come into the steal. Let's jump into it. A betty. First one.
Starting point is 00:06:28 H-M-B. Hold my beer. Oh, that's a great guess. It's a great guess, but it's not. Oh, it's not hold my beer. No, no. Jack, you sure? It is not.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Is it hit me back? He's got it. Jack, he's been in the last year. He's been in the last year. He's picked up things. H-M-B while I check that out it hit me back? He's got it. He's been doing the first thing he's picked up. HMB while I check that out. Hit me back. Something Jack might say when he's asked for something. Something for free from someone. Yeah, probably in that template you send out in DM people.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Hey there, just notice your page. Love what you're doing, creating great, fresh content. I am also an exciting content creator that could collaborate with your product or service. HMB! Brakets. No, it's not a beer. I'm young.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Get me back. Okay, hand. Next one. T-B-H. To be honest. He's got it, one of them. Oh, my beer. Well, I smoke his quiz.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Got it. Something Jack might say, TVH, when he's talking about borrowing money from hoids. I'm trying to borrow from hoids. Yes. To borrow off hoids. B-S-A-W. Big smell after Adam Dyerian.
Starting point is 00:07:45 It's specific. It's been the ink smell. Finish with a W, not a D. I'm sorry, that was a D. I would rather be the very big smell. Too much asparagus, Adam. I have no idea. Big smile and a wink.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Oh, that's what I'm not sure about that one. Yeah, it's actually, um, I don't think anyone's using big smile and a wink by the way. Okay, it seems. I don't know. You can use it on your template, Jack. We just talk, we talk about perverse shows. It's like, the kind of one that they might. No, you can wink. You can wink. You actually think it's right. You either wink or you do a big smile. Both is too much.
Starting point is 00:08:32 That is true, actually. No, I just did it to myself in here. Yeah, you have some time. A big smile a week, 100% is you've got away with something. It's like trying to do one without projecting that you have just got away with something and bitch. Yours was gross, Eddie. Yours was adult. Back when adult, like there was no tender and adults had to record videos for dating. Yours was like, I look forward to taking you out to catch a few. Yeah, no, I don't think you can pull out.
Starting point is 00:09:06 That's why I think that one should be stricken. Jackson will meet you back in. Still one all. G-R-W-M. Apparently this one's real with Michelle. Apparently this one's a really hot color. Yeah, it's hot color. G-R-D-L. Are you finishing? Apparently this one's a really hot cast. Yeah, it's a hot cast tag. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:25 G.R. Do you have any? Are you finishing? Yep. Give Rowan wet microphones. That is Get Ready With Me. So you see how people get dressed to the day or how they do their makeup. I might use it when he dresses up as a Pokemon and he's way to his Poke Fest. Get ready with it. Ah, right. So's what he wants to know is for just.
Starting point is 00:09:47 No, they just come up, they just come up. He's small and a weak. Yeah. But you've never watched one pass the first 30 seconds. All right, so is that with my underpants? Thanks, Mark. Oh, that'll win. Mine depends. Thanks for all the way. And then there's sailable lead for jacko.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Last one. B W L. Big Willies must. Not him. Sorry, what are you saying? B W L. Sorry, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:10:28 No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:10:36 No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:10:44 No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm not saying. No, I'm white lotus could add. I want about break. It's something with... It's an emotion. Lauren. It's an emotion. Big. It's an alternative to lull. BWL. Big wet laugh.
Starting point is 00:10:53 That's worse than Big Smollardly. That's wet laugh. First thing with laughter. Oh, so bursting. So what makes you burst? It does sound wet. It does sound wet. First thing with laughter.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Oh, so bursting. So what makes you burst? It does sound wet. It does sound wet. First thing with laughter. Oh, so bursting. So what makes you burst with? It does sound wet. First thing with laughter, because the problem was LOL, laugh out loud. He's also lots of love. So when my brother-in-law told our family that he's grandma died and my mum wrote back LL. Oh, we all went, what's going on here?
Starting point is 00:11:30 But now you can run into the same problem with bursting with love. If I was trying to say I'm bursting with love, that's true. But it's just, um, small, small, small in a week for that one. Not in a week. Sorry to hear it. I don't know. Sorry to hear it. Ando, you are doing fine. You're doing fine at the moment. Yeah, I'm doing fine. And but I know you still like to budget. You still like to monitor the ins and outs.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Hey, my store Andy dropped two dollars out of his pocket before. Is this an Andy siding? Yes, he is. Is it really Andy siding? Oh, I agree. The weaver. The weaver's been spotted. And I thought he was going to leave it. I thought, oh, wow, Andy doesn't care so much about money. They can leave $2. Then came back and got it. Yeah. So I came back though. He must have felt the podcast. Probably was going to leave it. And he was thinking that you would be doing the calculations on this. No. Well, unless we forget Jack the time, and I won't even say the amount for fear that no
Starting point is 00:12:26 time in me will ever talk to any of you. Where he accidentally transferred it. Was it to you? Or it was just to someone else. That's right. It was just in the meeting one day, back in radio show days. Now at the time, the beach house was being built or whatever, or renovated. And so large sums of money were being moved, but a large
Starting point is 00:12:47 sum had moved and Andy was like, I didn't even notice. I went for wrong account. I'd actually pay. And it was quite a bit more than $2.4. He's pocketed that time. No, no, wait, not what, not. I wanted it. I'll leave this. Anyway, what are you talking about? What I'm saying is, and sometimes it's me making you the cash. Sometimes, for instance, if I appear on the 100, I will be paid a token fee. That's nice from you and your company, but you will, don't worry, I know you're doing fine out of it at the other end. That's okay. We do.
Starting point is 00:13:33 We do. We do. We're working in the economy flows on. The economy flows on. And spin around and he's chair twiddling his mustache, smoking his cigars. Anyway, I had the chance I was close this week to filtering a bit more money into your money bin because I'm in the market or I was in the market for Times Table music. Now I know that back in the day, you and your brother's band, your most lucrative album was the Times Table. It's sad, I don't care if Yeah, but we need to make it money to record a new album,
Starting point is 00:14:08 which was going to be awesome. The J's, we're going to pick it up, obviously, that we'd do it probably locally, nationally, there's a residency bar and hotel. Yeah, yeah. And we needed money to get that album done. So we decided to do a Times Tables album for kids, the Times Tables CD, and then, yeah, sadly, it is the most amount of money we've made do a Times table's album for kids. The Times table CD and then, yes, sadly,
Starting point is 00:14:25 it is the most amount of money we've made over a CD or musical release. Yeah. Yeah. Which is not a lot of money. We didn't make it, but it all on stage. I remember being big cash. It speaks more to the fact that the...
Starting point is 00:14:38 Are you still going to have a barrier checks for that? No, I don't think they can sell it anymore. I don't think it became digitized. I think if people wanted the CD, they could, yeah. Well, because the reason I bring this up is, for my little boy at school, this year is a new three. And it's getting, this is the time in your school life where you need to have your time's tables down.
Starting point is 00:15:00 And so I thought, I said to him, hey mate, this is what we're gonna do on the way to school. Every morning when we drive to school, we're just listening to a new time's table. And so I said to him, hey mate, this is what we're going to do on the way to school. Every morning when we drive to school, we're just listening to a new time sample. And there are these people out there that make songs out of them. He's like, really? I said, well, funnily enough, you know what mate? Andy. Andy, he did one.
Starting point is 00:15:18 He's a time sample album. So why don't we try and, let's see if we can find Andy's, but we couldn't find it. No. We couldn't find it. No, it couldn't find it. It hasn't been digitized, but the other thing I should point out is for people that are going to song, sleep me. This is a very guilty conscience speaking. No, I was trying to do a different genre as you know, like... Well, this is what actually this is what I was going to ask you.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Because what you realize when you go deep and you're not the first nor would be the last person to put the time-stables to music, but I'd like to actually interview you for the creative process of how you pick the genre for the song because the one that we've ended up going with, like, we did the six time-stables this morning and that is piano rock and that sort of like queen like grandness. Now I've skipped ahead a bit to the I think it's the tens or elevens and this particular album we're going off because you've got to the point is you pick one and you stay with it because the I still remember the ones I learned at school they're stuck in my head. I was like say you're
Starting point is 00:16:20 going to you will hate these by the end they will be be so annoying, but that's kind of the charm. Yes. They stay with you. And then you'll, you'll, you'll just know the time levels by default. Mm. I skipped a head to the 10 or 11 and it's rap. And they're a little too fast because they're actually,
Starting point is 00:16:37 the guy like, you know, respect if you, like no one's, I'm not pulling up normal rappers to go, I think you're saying, you lyrics a bit fast. Yep. But the point of the times there was is we do need to hear them and the one that we're using the 10 times table the guys just he's spitting fire but it's too quick for a kid to hear it we decided to rap on the five times table and the 11th times table that was one thing like the wrapping you or cam. I wrapped I wrapped and The benefit of our wrap. I thought that's what made
Starting point is 00:17:12 The other thing to wrap benefits That's what made our five times table more edible was it was a pause so it was like Let me give it to you Really we that name? You need to look at the lyrics. You need to be? That's deep into looking at the lyrics. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:17:31 So still remember that one. It was one five is five, two five is a ten, three, five is fifteen, four, five is a twenty, five, five is a twenty five. Wow. Five five is a twenty five. Yes. So your word was, was you're repeating five five is a twenty five. Twenty five. Yes. So it allowed everyone to go, okay, I've got to five.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Where am I going? Revealing to see a pattern need to be more data before I'm confident. Big of the pattern. I think he's just adding five. I want to see you. Let's see where this goes. So again, we went through the next five, you know, 10 fives, the 50 port 10 fives, 50. I was like, okay, I'm here. I know you think. Two more of the summit.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Two more of the summit. Yeah, little lily pads to get to. And that's what I thought made ours a premier year. What was the most controversial or musically questionable genre you went with? Hold on. Oh, yeah. Definitely Hold on. Yeah. Definitely a polka.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Yeah, because you know one, no kids want to sing a polka and no adults do it. I would say evidently either. So I think when ours came out, is that like umpa? Yeah, umpa. Yeah. So I would say, what was the number of pol? And I bury it, you bury it. Oh yeah, you buried it, Adidas. So you come home strong with better tracks.
Starting point is 00:18:49 And so yeah, it's definitely filler. That's the album filler with the polka. We got a surely we have to play some. Do you have some? I don't think I've ever had it. We are, I know we've played it somewhere. I know we have played someone we'll say. What I actually realized that Jack listening,
Starting point is 00:19:03 like going through, because I went through on Spotify and I selected, you sort of auditioned them before I got into something because I was like, I wanna get a good one. You do realize that all bands that have attempted this monumental feat to put the one and 12 times, did you do it the ones by the way? Yep, seems redundant, but you do have to do it.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Some people just skip the ones, just fair enough. To put the one to 12 times tables to music, that's sort of a thing that every, if you true map me, you have a go at Everest, if you're a true band, you have a go at the time tables. But it does seem like the genre discussion was heated and a difficult one to crack. Probably what brings a lot of on-times tables, bands are undone.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Yeah. And we were from memory, there was no production music. So we were having to... Originals. We were doing originals. Yeah. So that was playing like the accordion in the polka. In the polka. Well, I think we went...
Starting point is 00:20:04 Say the L. Who was playing accordion in the polka? In the polka? Well, I think we went... Say the ill. Who was playing accordion in the polka? Thank you. It was accordion free, but I think we had some synthesizer from... I can't remember, but I think some piano. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm desperate to hear your time stable, so I can't... I know. Do you know what? I reckon for with with another now that I'm in the market as a customer? I think with another lesson, I would respect them more because I'm fine with the ones
Starting point is 00:20:31 we've got, but I do find it a bit repetitive. Like the beat is repetitive. And the benefit of these songs is to add in those unique bits like the pauses. Yeah. And then a little more. Well done. And then like, you know, the the other parts of the six times tables, the guy sings, I think halfway through,
Starting point is 00:20:49 it's like, I think it's like six, six, six is a 36. And he's adding a few extra lyrics. Really? And he added, and that's always will be. That's good. No, that's progressive. Yeah. That's, we were stuck, you know, just trying to work out the numbers back in the day and obviously
Starting point is 00:21:14 musicals. So you didn't have any lyrics? No, I don't think there's any lyrics. Uh, kept it pure. Keep it pure. All right. And a special skill came in, landed my side of the fence by a young man slash Savant named Jono.
Starting point is 00:21:36 It's our second microwave skill in quite a few recent times. However, it's not popcorn based. It's very good. It's the kind of thing where you go, you'd love to get this, you'd love to get this man in to test it in person. And you go, ah, he's in Perth. I think we can do this out of the phone. Jeep is available. Obviously, it has its limit. Yes. But he joins us on the phone now. John, how are you mate I haven't seen this him.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Yeah, I saw it. And here's the situation. Jonno, you're right. Subconsciously, I will walk away from a timer or anything that I'm doing, i.e. putting something in the microwave. And somehow always make it back just in time. Usually in time to stop the beep on the last second. So before it goes off.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Before it goes off, because obviously just after it goes off, not as impressive, because you often do get a clue from the being being immobile. That it's just gone off. So air friars, toasters, toasters are very impressive. Microwave, although how would you know on a toaster, but still impressive. That's it. And John, you list here not so much a skill as a gift. Is this as written? Do you have this? Is this happening over and over again? It's just consistent. My girlfriend, every single time, blown away, just dumbfounded. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:01 You didn't even one second on the microwave very often. A little bit, stop in the bomb, a little bit sometimes. So what would you say is a close amount of time. If it for us to be impressed, I would say within four seconds. No, no, two, all right. Yeah, go to, to either side. Let's go to three. No, come to the other side.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Anything, yeah, not either side. Can't stress it enough. There is a real giveaway. Yeah Now it doesn't need to be before the bomb explodes So I'll go. Yeah, so if we see two point anything on the timer because we've got a special We've got a system here where we'll be able to get it down to the thousands of a second That's what we're gonna do. John. We're gonna set up a test here where we'll be able to get it down to the thousands of a second. That's what we're going to do. Jon, we're going to set up a test here where it's a one and done. Okay, you're going to get one shot to do this. Now, we've also got podcast mic looking at you on Zoom and you can do this with a t-shirt over your head.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Just so there's no chance of time as being used at your end. Yep. This is purely off the field. What we're going to do is take you on an audio journey, take everyone on an audio journey. We're going to put something in the microwave and give you the time it's for. Then through the power of sound effects, take you into the other room. When we're in the other room, you then say to us, guys, I've got to get back. And then you'll firmly and clearly stop and we'll stop the microwave and we will then reveal the seconds left
Starting point is 00:24:26 Does that make sense to you John? I like it if you get within three seconds. Yep a coin. Yes three seconds again before before before the baby Lots of most impressive ones on it. Does that? Jump to mind it's pretty good when I come to set supplies honestly I thought about an hour ago I wasn't't going to make it here in time, but you just don't worry about it because it's a gift. Hang on. So the traffic lights, you just start driving while it's free because you're like, I can feel this coming. You leave the brakes into the last second possible
Starting point is 00:24:56 because you just know you're going to make a trip. You're doing a little sheet seeing the other light. You look for the yellows on the other intersection. Don't need to. Hmm. You don't need to. He also says you don't, you don't wear watch or anything. Do you don't need to? No, don't need to.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Sometimes it comes to me in premonition. It's like right now, I can feel that it's time for Andy to have a cigarette. That's a bit low. That's an easy one though. Hey, John O. Yes, he's going to be very, very particular about what I was doing. Oh, so he was right. You're on the page.
Starting point is 00:25:30 You said you got the open-ex sorted for this. Let's go up into it. Let's see what song I've picked out of all available songs to put the opener to, bearing in mind sometimes there. Sometimes it just comes to you. You didn't even know it was a song. He feels like you're singing to your music. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Off to let it be let it be Actually don't Don't let it be That's the skill Tell you to let it be but we don't want that You corrected it by the end. Yeah, don't let it be. Yeah, let it be.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Real, beautiful storytelling. We're very excited. The barren music. She's isn't it? It is not just that. It's just that people. We had a 94th time with use Leonard Beep. I'm now.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Every time I have to do it, I'm only doing Leonard Beep. I want us to get to a thousand. Um, Jono, are you ready? I'm ready. What have we got? What do we feel like having for lunch that we need to put in the microwave? Andy, I've got something.
Starting point is 00:26:51 It's a re, let's reheat last night's beef and bean mix for some burritos. Okay, wonderful. And I know from experience, can we say the time here? I know from experience in this microwave, the perfect temp to reheat two burritos worth, because this is just a snack, is a minute 20. Okay. Do you know you're really frustrated? Punch that into the microwave? Always. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:19 So you'll hear when it starts and you've got your blindfold on. Win-tie. There goes the, don't start vibing now. Here we go. Now you leave the room. Where do you normally go? Come with us. Go watch some TV. Okay. You're heading over there.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Your big room. Long hallway. Boogie house. Hahaha. It turns a bit like I might be a haunted house. Here we go. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home.
Starting point is 00:27:52 I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm going to have to go home. I'm all you have to think about. Right? Okay. What are you watching?
Starting point is 00:28:07 A bit of footy. Sounds like analysis actually. It might be half time or post-game. It's pre-matter, smash and demons. Oh, there you go, hand. Weird. Glitch. Don't get too comfy on the couch.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Are you standing or are you probably standing? I'm thinking about turning around. You are hungry and hungry. I would stop it in five, four, three, two, one. Stopped. One. Andy. Time. One minute and eight seconds. Twelve off. Twelve off. Twelve seconds staring at the microwave going. So you would have put that a breed on gone. Billy War. Because you know what are the heating happens in the last ten seconds. What does seem to be? Yes. I mean the bowl gets hot immediately. The meat takes a long time. For some reason, my growth is going to heat bowls, but not meat. John, do you feel the simulation mucks with your feet?
Starting point is 00:29:13 For a bit, it feels time. Do you feel like down the down the phone with a t-shirt on your head and down the face? Do you feel it? Didn't screw with the premonitions. It was hindering my senses. To what degree do you reckon, how many seconds? Oh, roughly 12 seconds.
Starting point is 00:29:30 What do you might have said that? I can't see you account for the handicap. I can't award you at, though. Be honest though, amongst us in here, who else was getting antsy that we needed to get back? I was looking at the... I was. And yeah, you had the time. And still was antsy that we needed to get back. I was looking at the... I was. And yeah, you had the time.
Starting point is 00:29:45 And still was antsy that I needed. Yeah, because I thought we were going to hear the beep at any moment. Yeah, yeah. But that's the thing, when you're playing the microwave game and you're trying to stop it one second beforehand, you're gambling the thrill of that efficiency versus really just having to wait through some beeps. I mean, bebe, you feel like you're wasting your life, but the loss is if you go to early, you've got cold burritos. I'm exempt.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Jon, I will send you a token of no value. Thank you very much for joining us. Thank you very much, gentlemen. Okay, well let you go, Jon, I just have something to quickly say to Ando, and Jack just admin stuff. No need for you to hang around for this bit. Yep. On your mate. And that's how you say one on air, Jack just admin stuff. So no need for you to hang around for this bit. Yep. Honey mate. And that's how you say one on air from Perth.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I mentioned that. Eight hours of flying for that. That respect on it. We traveled for the show recently him to do the Remember the Remembering Project, and I was on a flight with Mike, podcast Mike here. Flighty Mike. Not before we left. Just wanted to read out a bit of a text message exchange between podcast Mike and I.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Okay. This is from me. Hey again to the airport tomorrow. Hey man, got a driver picking me up at 6. Must be us. Sheepers. And he writes, you're on the 7th, 30th flight. I'm confused that he's got a driver
Starting point is 00:31:10 because you know, Mark did sound like he'd have got there with a very trans-special task. He catches several bits of valley transport just to come into the show. And it was like, two hours before the podcast start, like, hey guys,
Starting point is 00:31:23 trams are running behind, I gotta be late.. I got a bit like Mike Moose because he lives in a 25 minutes walk from the studio. If everything went to water, yeah. Yep. So he's obviously got a guy there in a nice flat black hat with some probably black gloves in a suit waiting for you. So I'm this yearning Mike's not paying for this. So I wrote back, did Carly organize that? Yeah. I love that. This is change for Andy now into going follow the money. Yeah. And this is my sniffs of controversy. He writes back, no, man, I just have a guy I know who usually drives me to the airport when I go to Sydney.
Starting point is 00:31:59 So I text him this morning and booked him. He's texting him on the day. No, this is the day before, man. I'm sorry, yep, gotcha. So I've written back, must be nice. Mm. Yeah, all I've got to do is take this backpack. It's got a little lock on it,
Starting point is 00:32:12 but he assures me it's just his friend's homework. Yeah. So I've written back, what's he charge you? Micro-Its back. Sorry, man. Would have definitely taken up, you, sorry, man, would have definitely taken up, sorry man, would have definitely taken you up on the lift offer, but I've already booked him.
Starting point is 00:32:30 So he's dodging the money question. To which I wrote back, I've never offered you a lift. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What a, what a mysterious sense. Yeah. Then Mike writes, sorry, that's embarrassing. Yeah, it is. It is embarrassing,
Starting point is 00:32:45 because I haven't offered you a lift and you've just assumed. You've declined a nonexistent lift and dodged the question from a direct question of the cost. Then Mike writes back, anyway, he's just a taxi driver who runs the meat. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 00:33:01 Right. Well, he gave me his car ones and now I use them. So that's the car. Yeah, that's a common taxi trick, isn't it? Yeah, so don't say you've got a drive. Yeah, that's a taxi. You let him have his fun. Yeah, I let him enjoy the high life a little bit.
Starting point is 00:33:19 He does have a drive. Yeah. Anyone who drive, if they're getting a lift to the airport, is just this woman I Well, it's just this woman I used to live with. Who gave birth to me who offers me a lift to the airport? So I said, well, I actually do have a driver, Mike, if you wanted to cancel Taximan and I'll come around and pick you up. He said, no, I'd feel bad cancelling on him in the dump force. So that's fine. Because I always have a taxi driver like that. And they really give you I'm a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of unified by the fact they like to drive yellow cars. So now he's got a random taxi driver driving him out. And he's on cost where... Only the only thing he's saved on there is pick up guarantee.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Like that's the one thing he's got in that argument. But yeah, to make the other guy feel good, no more than $2 is trickling to the other guy. No, the $2 is maximum. Yeah. If he's sent a friend, he can't be expecting much more of a kickback $2 is maximum. Yeah. If he's sent a friend, he can't be expecting much more of a kickback than that. Yeah. Yeah. Any of the Andy take me. Yeah. Mike, you could have like, why just to please a taxi driver, you're not really friends with, why give
Starting point is 00:34:36 up the opportunity to drive in a bulletproof Audi A8 at 200 kilometers an hour. With someone in the back screaming, I'll cop the fine, just get me there. Ando, nope, we can't always do this fire request, but we did get a request during the week because we were sifting through the emails and we thought, geez, you got a good point. Haven't played pizza a lot for a while. You noticed Alex, can I please play?
Starting point is 00:35:05 Said the man, why not? We heard he joins us on the line of Holi, Alex. Holi, boys, number six. I'm glad you were reminded of this, Alex, because we did buy a huge amount of hats, which was pizza a lot of participant and pizza a lot of winner. And then didn't play the game much after that. It almost felt like the natural conclusion, but it doesn't need to be because
Starting point is 00:35:27 pianos are still pumping out pizzas. For those not familiar with the game, we call Zio Pino's, our preferred pizza rear, two play pizza lotto with the original. Back in the day, we were going to farm it around. We're going to be going to run different pizza places, but he was such a good host. Pino was too good. Yeah. Still not 100% sure.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And I've eaten at Zio Peno's three times, including once for the birthday celebrations. Yeah. Still not 100% sure he fully understands he is part of the game or how it works, but we do love him. And he produces a heck of a pie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:00 We call Zio Peno's hopefully Peno's there. Yep. Are we then ask him to not reveal, but to tell us if there is a pizza in the oven? Yes. And if there is, Alex, it's your job to guess the type of pizza. Do you want to reveal what you're vibing at the moment, Alex? Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:36:19 I've had a bit of practice. I saw one Andy Lee at the local tobacco in the CS today and decided to play a bit of a singing lotto. So, Sally wouldn't have pulled up any no cigarettes. No, we'll have a lot for you for the poor cashier. A pack of win when he blows a merge. And nice solid bit. Nice to see him off the reds. Never smoked him a life and I, I, I, I, I, I sincerely hope Alex there's no pizza in the up. No, like all our Andy, Andy Sightings, they're just probable.
Starting point is 00:36:53 And we need to see. They sound, they sound real. Well, we, you know, unconfirmed until a second person verifies it. But certainly sounds real to me, Alex. That matches the behaviour I've seen. Um, Alex, are you ready to play? I'm ready to play. Let's show me to it. It's a lot of a fun polka tunes Yeah, it's a lot of Jacko give him a call here we go good luck Alex actually mean that
Starting point is 00:37:38 The game trumps all sportsmanship at its finest hello spin-off Smallsmanship at its finest. Hello, it's Pino. Pino! Pino, it's Hamish and Andy! Hello! Hey, how are you, my friend? We're great, Pino! Hey, long time, man! I know, we know.
Starting point is 00:37:54 We just need you, my friend. We miss you. Pino, we miss you, but we've got Alex standing by who wants to play. Yes, Pino, tell me, tell me. Okay, first say hello to Pino. Hey, how are you? Pino, don't me. Okay, first say hello to Pino. Hey, how are you? Pino, how are you? Good, good, good.
Starting point is 00:38:08 So first thing Pino, without telling us the time, yeah, I'll actually know, hang on, doesn't Alex, you gotta go first because it could be a no pizza. Alex, what is he, sorry, being a weird guy. Alex, what is your guess for what kind of pizza is in the oven? I'm going to keep it simple and we're going to go over the margarita. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Pino, could you tell us what? I like the black. I like the dry. First of all, Pino with a yes or a no, is there a pizza in the oven? You're on the margarita and you go to the specialties by the... Oh, it's very good. Oh, we got a hat. We got a jaw out, we hoped.
Starting point is 00:38:54 What's the next pizza out, Pino? The margarita come a feast. Yeah! We are the... Here we go. We have a winner! You got it! You got it! We are the winner! Oh my gosh! Tell our Lex to and Nikami are the fiercely Montjello for you, alright?
Starting point is 00:39:10 Oh, yes. Well, I'm in shallow too. That is huge, Alex. I love the pride of the country first thing. It's worth it, mate. It's worth it. Trust me, I've been in a taster. I've tasted the look of the Montjello.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Beautiful. Nice to do. Great to chat. Great to chat, Pino, bye. Okay, all the best, bye, bye, bye. Bye, bye. Yes to chat. Peter bye. Okay. All the best. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye This is what I like about Pete's a lot of, unlike other game shows, you look at the stuff, that you see, so for whatever it is, the chase and all that. They just don't have the excitement of a format changes on the fly, be remembering the format,
Starting point is 00:39:55 see a scoreboard, which I guess is like, that's Pino's sort of, he's revealing, that sometimes, but sometimes like, we'll reveal answers ahead of time. Oh, no, actually, that's for them. You shouldn't have seen that answer, that's for the finale. And, no, actually, that's for the, you shouldn't have seen that answer, that's for the finale. And quite formally, indeed, quite morally,
Starting point is 00:40:09 most of those shows have chosen a host with English as a first language. That is what makes our game show heat better. They've gone, oh, we've got to make it really easy to follow. Well, you don't really, because if you throw a few spanners in the works, it makes it very exciting. Alex, we haven't played for a long time. I can't remember the last time we had a winner.
Starting point is 00:40:26 You now get one of the coveted color pizza lotto winner hats. Yes. I don't think we've ever said one. That'll take quite a place on the mantle, but yeah, it is massive. The other ones are black and white, participant, cheap print. This one is full color winner.
Starting point is 00:40:43 Pizza lotto winner. That is, that's huge, y'all. He eats a lot of winner. That's huge, Al. Congratulations. Cheers boys and appreciate it. Well, I'll be right back. Fantastic. Call me.
