Pretty little episode.
Welcome to the Handsome Pod's Pretty Little Episode.
I'm Fortune Feemster.
I'm Tignotaro.
And we're together.
We are together.
No one can stop us from being together
No one can stop us now
No one's trying to stop us from being together
Now
We're together now
Now now now now
I haven't heard that song in a while
Yeah it's really good to hear it again
I have to say
It's a real classic
People always request it
They're like sing that song you
That you guys always sing
Mm-hmm.
We're together now.
People were surprised when we're not that.
It's rare.
Been a while since we sang it.
Yeah.
What do you think May's up to right now?
That is so funny.
I was just thinking about that when we started this episode.
I was like, I wonder where May is.
Is May on a vacation?
Because they posted some kind of pretty picture.
Let me look.
I think May might be an.
BAMP.
Oh.
Because there was a picture that little cowboy posted.
Okay.
Gorgeous.
Oh, yeah, it looks, that looks like Bamp.
Bamp.
Bamp.
Canada.
It's in Canada.
I believe they're in Canada.
Do you think May's thinking about us?
Always.
Always thinking of us.
Waiting for time to freeze so that we can all hang out.
Yes, that's correct.
That is correct.
That's right.
Right.
Will you check my Instagram page?
See how that's...
Let's see what's going on with yours page.
I'm sure you're being missed right now.
Yeah.
Because you're on your social hiatus.
So it's fluff.
Isn't it fluff something?
The real fluff Notaro.
That's right.
Why is it not coming up?
Because I canceled it.
Oh.
Oh, like it's not even...
It's not even there.
Oh, I don't.
I thought you just like it was there, but you just weren't posting.
No, no, it went by-bye.
Oh.
Well, how am I supposed to look at pictures?
You're not.
You're not. So this was a trick.
You had me on my phone for a good solid 30 seconds.
Yeah, yeah.
And you don't have that kind of time to.
I don't have that kind of time to you?
No.
Yeah.
Had you looking up.
I was like, let's see.
Where is it?
Why isn't it coming up?
It went bye-bye.
Yeah, all right.
Well, I'm sure people are like wondering what you're up to.
Well, then they just have to listen to the handsome pod.
And then you see my face on handsome YouTube and who blue and who blue?
Who blue?
Is that what it's called?
Who blue?
Who blue?
What else am I on?
The handsome social media.
True, true.
I just had six pints of ice cream delivered to my house.
Are you jealous?
Yes.
There's some sorbets in there.
Those are vegan, right?
Yeah, sorbet is just fine to me.
I'm not like, oh, my Lord, give me all your sorbets.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, you're welcome to come over for some sorbet anytime you want.
I'd rather a vegan ice cream.
Oh, okay.
That's fair.
I like coffee ice cream, mint chocolate chip.
Me too.
I like, God, we are meant to be.
We just, it's bad timing.
It's the chair.
It's the worst time.
Good timing for me, bad for you.
Yeah, yeah.
It's just our stars are not aligned.
And that's okay.
Yeah, it's totally good.
Yeah, I'm digging into some Jenny's ice cream.
This isn't an ad.
I just got six pints of it and I'm pretty pumped to put them in my mouth hole.
And so you're going to have all six pints as soon as we finish your phone?
Yes.
Like, what was it, Home Alone 2 where you had the big Sunday?
I love that you think.
I love that you think I've seen Holland.
Oh, man.
Zero pop culture references over here.
I just saw Home Alone last Christmas.
That's wild.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well.
And he, I think Home Alone 2's, he gets lost at less.
to New York or something at the fancy hotel.
Okay.
Is it as good as Home Alone One?
Oh, no.
Home Alone One is a classic.
I dated a lady that's in one of the Home Alone movies.
Braggert.
Who did she play?
Do you remember?
I don't know what she played.
Okay.
Most sequels aren't as good except for Sister Act 2.
Okay.
Incredible.
Okay.
I am reading.
which one she's in and I'm reading what she does in it, but I'm not telling you who she is.
Okay, fine.
Okay, girl.
She's in the second one.
You know people who are in things.
Good for you.
No, why are you saying she's in the second one?
We're trying to keep it top secret.
She's in the first one.
Why are you saying she's in the first one?
We're trying to keep it top.
She's in the third one.
Is there a third one?
Fortune, don't say that she's in the third one.
We're trying to keep this top secret.
Is there a fourth one?
Don't tell people she's in the fourth one.
This is top, top secret.
Then I'll stop talking about it and we'll just get to our questions so we don't
blow up your spot.
Give it to us, Thomas.
Give it to us.
There are six home alone movies, by the way.
For real?
There are six.
Don't tell people she's in the sixth one.
I didn't know there was six.
I thought there were two.
A lot of them are like straight to video
And it starred McCauley Culkin?
No
Oh, I was about to say like
He just went too, right?
Yeah
Okay
I met him because I filmed
with his wife
And he's love
They're both lovely but
But wasn't he
In the movie
Zootopia?
Yeah they both were
He and Brenda
were two of the lynxes.
But in the movie, they play brother-sister.
Ooh.
All right, give us a question.
Yes, yes.
Hey, Tigme and Fortune.
My name's Angela.
I'm a private chef in Maryland.
Lately, I've been experimenting with nostalgic desserts from our childhood,
and I would love to ask you,
what was something you loved to eat for dessert when you were a kid?
It could be something someone used to bake for you,
or something as simple as what you ate in the lunchroom at school.
Oh, man.
We've just opened this episode up with six.
Pints of ice cream.
I didn't even know this question was coming.
Oh, I'm going to look up this one thing I used to love.
You can go ahead while I'm Googling.
Well, thank you.
Thank you.
I'll be listening and Googling.
You know, the first thing that pops up, which I just had at the delicious vegan restaurant,
crossroads here in Los Angeles.
But I don't think I was eating the vegan version back in my Mississippi, Texas days.
But I do enjoy banana pudding.
Or is it like with the pudding and banana and then vanilla wafer kind of thing in there?
Yeah.
I love banana pudding.
I love you too.
And so I just the vegan version is just as delicious.
Really?
If you head on down to crossroads.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
So good.
That's a definitely, that's definitely a classic for sure.
Yeah.
I had different, I have always had a sweet tooth.
So desserts were my jam growing up.
If I was like at school and on Fridays, they had ice cream day where you could bring money to school
and buy ice cream from their ice cream freezer.
You know, it was only like a dollar or something.
Sure.
I lived for that day.
Live for it.
And my go-to back then was the push-up.
The, do you remember this?
Oh, an orange, the orange thing?
The orange.
So that would have been Sherbert?
You just take off the top.
Isn't it Sherbet?
The little plastic thing.
Fortune isn't it?
Is it Sherbet?
There's no egg jar in it?
No, I think it's Sherbet.
Sherbet.
I said, I've always said Sherbert.
I used to as well, and then I learned my lesson, and I've never gotten used to it.
But I have to correct everyone.
It doesn't sound as good.
I know.
Well, especially because we know people named Bert.
Yeah.
And it just makes more sense to say, sure, Bert.
You didn't say, sure bit.
So that was my go-to school dessert.
my, when I got into high school, there was, I loved Baskin-Robbins mint chocolate chip ice cream.
That was the bomb.
Because this was, you know, pre-artisan ice cream days.
There was no fancy ice cream situation.
Ben and Jerry's kind of cracked that world open.
Yeah, they were the first one.
Yeah, that was considered probably the fancy ice cream back in.
back then.
And then they had something called,
this is what I had to Google.
They had something that they sold in the freezer section of the grocery store.
And it was super popular.
I think it was,
this came around in the late eight,
or sometime in the 80s.
It's called a Vianetta.
And it's a little ice,
it's like a little ice cream cake.
And it got,
has like ridges.
And there,
there's certain listeners,
I know they're listening right now going,
Oh, my God.
I totally forgot about this thing.
There was like a chocolate version and a mint version and a vanilla version.
It was so good.
And it was, I'm reading on here, it was invented by a food scientist.
Food scientist.
That's what this says.
It says it became a global icon of nostalgic dessert sophistication.
So it was like, back then considered like this fancy thing.
Yeah. Now it's not fancy at all, but that thing was so good.
Yeah.
It kind of blew mines as like early day ice cream cakes.
Okay.
Yummy.
Love it.
Big.
Does Angela have a nostalgic?
I bet she does.
By the way, anyone that can cook for living, that's an unbelievable skill.
Mm-hmm.
I think Fortune just asked you out
No
No
My answer is the good humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bars
I used to dip them in chocolate in between bites
It was always my go-to
But thank you so much
Thanks for always helping me keep it handsome in the kitchen
Yeah
Thanks Angela
No I've to try that sometime
Good humor
That was the early days
Oh, my friend was real fancy.
They had swan, is it Swan?
Swanson.
I don't know which one it was.
Delivered them ice cream, like bars and stuff.
I was like, they are fancy.
Fancy.
Fancy.
Checking Allstate First could save you hundreds on car insurance.
Not checking you have time to play a game when I get a group of friends together.
We all lose.
I know not all my co-hosts agree, but I love a game.
and now I'm sad I missed an opportunity when I had people over last night.
Yeah, checking first is handsome.
So check Allstate first for an auto quote.
It could save you hundreds.
You're in good hands with Allstate.

Allstate, North American Insurance Company and Affiliates, Northbrook, Illinois.
That's like my friends, Max and Finn's godparents get fresh almond milk delivered by the almond
milk milk man to their door.
I didn't know there was such a service.
I didn't either, but they're just like that.
It's classic them.
In L.A. or?
Well, when they were here full time, yeah, which they're not anymore.
But I was like, wow.
I want that.
Okay.
Well, I'm sure you can hook it up.
Okay.
What else we got on the Dykeet?
Can't stop me.
Hey, Hansa. This is Emma. And Kat. And we are submitting our question from Grand Teton National Park, which is perhaps the gayest of the national parks. And we are two friends who like to do road trips together. So we were wondering if the three of you were to plan a road trip together, what types of activities would you do? And what would some of your stops be? And we're not going to ask who's driving because we know it's going to be fortune.
That's right. We know this.
I think that we have this on the list
On one of our bazillion things on the list
For us to do
Was a road trip
And I do believe in that discussion
We already did decide I would be driving
Yeah, because May
Probably isn't great at driving
I think May's in the back seat too
Yeah, and I can't see very well
Yeah, so you're definitely not driving
I feel like May is
in the back seat and is the one of the group getting us to play car games.
Mm-hmm.
Oh, God.
That was a genuine reaction to the car games.
Well, because I immediately pictured myself in the car, and then somebody chiming in,
let's play a game.
And then I was like, oh, Jesus.
Let's just roll on to our destination.
In silence.
Yeah.
No, chatting.
I like talking, listen to music, but I don't want the music too loud.
Okay.
You know, I'm 55.
I'm old enough to be in a retirement community.
So let's not forget this.
I'm old enough for free sodas.
I think I'm pretty good on a road trip.
Mm-hmm.
Because I am pretty easygoing.
It doesn't take a lot to ruffle my feathers.
I love snacks.
Like, stopping for snacks is a huge part of my road tripping.
Yeah.
I like sort of discovering little local restaurants along the way.
Yeah.
I don't mind just, like, staring out a window or chatting.
I can do both.
So if May and I start fighting in the car, are you going to turn around and, like, swat us?
No, I would just be like, guys, let's talk to cell.
Let's figure the cell.
What's up?
Okay.
Or I would team up with one of y'all and tease the other.
Okay.
I'm into that.
I remember when I was moving from Colorado to California, my friends and I, we pulled over to get snacks before we got out of Denver.
Yeah.
And we finished all our snacks before we got out of Denver.
I mean, truly before we, it's like when you're watching the commercials at a movie theater,
when you finish all your snacks before the movie starts, that's what happened.
We were laughing so hard that we were already finished.
We hadn't even left Denver yet.
That's hilarious.
Yeah.
The only thing I am a little particular.
about on a road trip.
Coffee.
You have to have your coffee.
Yeah, you know me so well.
Mm-hmm.
So I will, whatever town we're in, I'm going to be Googling like best coffee near me.
You're going to Google it up.
I'm going to Google it up.
And usually a couple of coffee shops pop up.
And I can most of the time tell by the pictures that have been posted of that coffee.
whether or not I'm going to like it.
If there's some sort of latte art,
that's usually,
not that I even order a latte,
but that's usually where I'm going.
Yeah.
Because if they have the skill to do a latte art,
chances are it's pretty decent coffee.
But if I see a picture of like 40 syrups in the background,
I'm not going to like it.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm on your side here.
Because they're masking the coffee with.
with these horrendous syrups.
I like a snobby,
a fancy coffee shop.
Me too.
And that's the only time I want snobby.
I don't normally want snobby,
but the coffee shop's the only place
you're allowed to be mean to me.
Mean to you?
Yeah, because usually the mean coffee shops
have the best coffee.
I don't know why.
It's scientifically proven.
Yeah, yeah.
They're snobs, they're little bubbles.
Yeah.
Don't enjoy talking to them.
Yeah, you heard me.
I sure did.
And I did not.
I don't appreciate it.
Do not say that again.
I will say it.
They're little buttholes.
Ah!
She said it again.
And they'll treat you poorly, but then you'll get a taste of that coffee and I'm like, okay, well, this was worth that.
Tude.
Oh, they should call the coffee shop, treat me poorly.
And then they show you pouring coffee.
That's a good one.
Yeah.
Who wants to invest in our coffee?
shop.
So May is not a part of.
Sorry, May.
May.
Loss out on this deal.
Yeah.
Treat me,
treat you poorly.
Treat you poorly.
Yeah.
I mean, if you,
listen, if you're lucky enough
to find a great coffee shop
with nice people,
amazing.
But some of the,
usually the ones with the best ones.
You got to go in
and deal with the abuse.
It's worth it.
There is nothing worse
than like being on the road and having a fancy,
what you hope is the fanciest coffee in the area delivered to your hotel.
And it is not.
Enrage me.
Yeah.
Should we hear what Emma and Kat have to say?
Mm-hmm.
Let's do it.
So our answer is that we like to hit coffee shops, go on hikes,
and explore lots of cities.
And so for our last road trip, we went from,
the Bay Area of California, up to Lopez Island off the coast of Washington, of north of Seattle.
And our favorite stop was hiking in Fern Canyon, which is up in the Redwoods.
I love it.
I've never been in the Redwoods.
Well, California, California.
Why don't we just hang up and you head out?
On a road trip, so, no, I want someone with me on a road trip.
I'll go.
Oh, okay.
Then you can stop into Buckeys.
I don't know.
I don't like Buckees.
Buckees is fine.
I just don't like all the hype around Buckees.
It irritates me.
God, why?
Because it's like, who cares?
It's like they have bathrooms.
They have snacks.
Who cares?
Who cares?
They're known for having very.
nice, clean bathrooms, just so you know.
Good, but get a life, okay?
So we're not going to find you in a Buckees filming content?
No.
God.
What a shocker.
You're not into Buckees.
Buckees is perfectly great and fine, but you're not going to find me, other than right
now, talking about Buckees.
Well, you didn't strike me as their demographic.
Truth be told.
It's a bunch of, also, number one, you're a vegan.
That's primarily why I don't think you're going there.
So what Oreos are vegan.
I'll go in.
They have rows and rows of beef jerky.
They're known for like briskin and purport.
Great.
Grab what you want and cork it.
I don't want to hear about it.
Cork it on your buckies.
Truly.
Get a life.
Okay.
You heard it here first.
It's a same.
I think I've talked about it on here.
It's the same with like those ice cream, yogurt, donut places that all become popular.
Everyone's talking about them.
Everyone has to go get them.
Cork it.
Corket.
Grab your thing and get out and enjoy it and live your life.
And cork it.
Cork it.
Okay.
What do we have coming up?
We have shows, don't we?
I mean, we're comedians, right?
We're out on the road doing things, telling people stuff.
And I don't know.
I'm going to be in Rochester, New York, Omaha, Oklahoma City, Cincinnati.
Charleston, West Virginia, and the list goes on.
Tignotaro.com.
What about you?
I'll be in August and West Hampton Beach, New York, Foxwood, Connecticut,
Red Bank, New Jersey, Halifax, Canada, Provincetown, Mass, Greenville, South Carolina,
Wilmington, North Carolina, and a bunch of other places coming up.
That's right.
And until next time, I mean, keep it.
Keep it.
Pretty.
Handsome.
