Hey Siri, what's on my calendar for today?
Today, you have the 5EP podcast. Would you like to keep it on your calendar?
5EP? Yeah!
Welcome to the 5EP podcast. Interview interviews and conversations to guide the genesis of personal
development. Mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social. The five pillars of
living a five exclamation point life. On now with your host, Alex Petrowski. Welcome to the first episode of the 5EP podcast. I'm your host,
Alex Petrowski. This is something that I've been working on for quite a while. The idea came about
after a few months of working at my current place of employment, the T.W. Lewis
Center for Personal Development, aka the Lewis Center. The desire to start this podcast was
sparked during conversations I had with students attending the programming content offered by the
Lewis Center. We would discuss our takeaways from each speaker series program, how our life
experiences are relatable to the various insights we gleaned, and how we can implement the lessons provided in our own lives going forward.
I quickly realized that only the students that are admitted to Barrett, the Honors College at ASU, have the ability to attend Lewis Center programs that are offered,
which prevents a wider audience from gaining invaluable knowledge not usually taught in college courses.
These real stories from distinguished leaders and their field of expertise offer a chance for Barrett
students to connect the dots on how those that came before them were able to reach such a high
status in their respective fields. It is a way to humanize those that young adults hold in such
high regard so that the stories spoken can not only provide numerous insights, but inspiration and motivation to blaze their
own paths like those before them.
This podcast is for those that are around the college age, anywhere from 18 to 30 years
of age.
It is here to give you a new perspective on various topics that encompass the five pillars
needed for a well-rounded life.
Schooling can only offer so much information in the realms of physical fitness, mental
aptitude, emotional intelligence, social skills, and aligning with your spiritual guides to
ensure you are on the right life path, if information on that topic is even offered.
For those that are planning to enroll in
a college or university, are currently enrolled, or have or have not graduated and are currently
employed or on the hunt, this show is meant to be a guide on your hero's journey. Throughout my time
working with some of the brightest honor students in this nation, it has quickly become evident that
there is a real need to provide insights not typically offered in the classroom.
Topics that are in need of a fresh perspective are self-awareness, personal finance, nutrition, mindfulness, meditation, various social skills, and many more.
Whether you're an entrepreneur or you work for a for-profit, nonprofit, or governmental organization, you need to be able to provide value in new ways if you desire to move up the ladder and progress in your career.
Quite often, a fresh perspective will aid you in looking at an old problem differently so that new solutions become apparent.
This creative approach to problem solving can be the X factor that differentiates you from the competitors and even your colleagues.
Please still work collaboratively with those in your organization, but do realize the unique value you bring to those you work with in any setting.
Many people do not realize the need to start working at being the person that you envision yourself being later on in your career right now. However, when you start working
through all the kinks at this point in your life and you're clear about where you desire to be
later in life, you will accumulate a long list of mistakes that will teach you what it truly takes
to be that person you desire to be. Many people say they want to be this or that, but do they
truly know how to handle that responsibility? Are they ready for it? or that, but do they truly know how to handle that responsibility?
Are they ready for it? With that, I welcome anyone that has the desire to improve themselves and work towards their unique form of self-actualization to tune in each week for a
new installment of the 5EP podcast. Remember, a life worth living truly embodies five exclamation points.
