Well, welcome back to the show. And again, you just recently heard me interview the president of North America and Europe of Alibaba. So make sure you check out alibaba.com. Again, who's also a member of the Alliances community.
So make sure you check out alliances.com.
That's E-L-I-A-N-C-E-S.com.
Why?
Because it is the only place where entrepreneurs align.
And I'm so excited about our next hero today
because you know what key is?
Key is health.
You could have everything else,
but if you don't have health, you're done. And our next hero, that's right, Bruno Domaniani,
who is the founder of 100 to Zero. He's personal trainer, lifestyle coach, and mentor. And you can
reach him at 100tozero.com. And of course, we'll add on our website
at alliances.com. All right, Bruno, before we get into what you're doing now, which is helping
others and really helping them to get healthy, because that's the best thing in the world that,
you know, someone has to have right in order to survive. Your journey wasn't always such an easy
one. So talk to us briefly about how it came to be of you becoming so healthy and helping others.
Yeah, definitely. Well, I appreciate you having me on.
You know, my journey in fitness started really at the age of about 17.
You know, I was really depressed, didn't really know where to go.
I just kind of broke down and turned to my doctors for help.
Immediately, they had placed me on antidepressants.
Within about two weeks, I was starting to feel better, but I was too happy.
Something wasn't right.
I would see things and think they're so beautiful and kind of break down in tears.
So we knew that we had to figure out what was going on and make another change.
So we couldn't get to the doctor
for about a week. We knew that we couldn't just immediately stop taking the medication that I was
on. That's not something that you can just abruptly stop. So we started lowering the dose. We were
cutting the pill in half before we could get to the doctor for a week or two. The problem was that
the medication that I was taking, the antidepressant, was generic. And in generic medication, the chemicals are not uniformly spread throughout those medications.
So just because you cut a pill in half, that doesn't necessarily mean that you're getting half of a dose.
So that threw my body chemistry out of whack.
I didn't sleep for about 12 whole days.
And you can imagine there's a whole host of problems that comes along with that.
So at the age of 17, I was placed into a psychiatric ward with a bunch of other kids.
And, you know, they were rehabilitating me over the course of about 30 days.
At the end of that stay, you know, the doctors tried diagnosing me, you know, with manic
depression, bipolar disorder, telling, you know, my family,
I'd be on medication forever. I'd be lucky if I could, you know, hold a regular job and literally
just handed me this new identity of a disabled person, you know, mentally. And you go tell a
17 year old kid to clean their room. They don't want to listen to you, let alone, you know, try
to hand them a new identity. So I know at the beginning,, let alone, you know, try to hand them a new identity. So
I know at the beginning, I just said, you know, kick rocks. I don't want to listen to any of this.
You know, I, I reached out to you guys for help and, you know, this is the situation that I've
got into. So, you know, let me figure this out. And, you know, after a few weeks of everybody
around me telling me that I'm sick, like I said, I was 17 years old. I, I kind of just bought into
it. Um, you know, and then for three years, I struggled trying to
find, you know, quote unquote, the right medication.
And I just reached another rock bottom when I kind of had that epiphany of, you know,
hey, like nobody's coming to save you.
So if you don't figure this thing out, this is going to be your life forever.
And that's really where it started in that moment where I set that intention to stop listening to people around me and start listening to what my heart was telling me.
Now talk to us. That's, I mean, truly incredible. And now let's talk about where you're at now,
which is helping others. And again, you can reach Bruno Dominiani at 100 to zero.com.
What do you do for your clients? And most importantly, too, which we've gotten a number
of questions submitted prior to this, but they all, not many of them have this in common is,
how do you keep people and keep them motivated on it? So the biggest thing that I start with,
and especially when I hear that word motivation is erase that thought, erase that word from your vocabulary.
Motivation will come and go.
What we need to do, what everybody needs to do to make a lasting change is to develop discipline.
And it depends on what you're applying that to, you know, discipline towards your eating
habits.
That's a lot harder.
There's a lot of different issues that go into that.
Keeping someone, you know, disciplined in exercise, same thing. So we start with the small things. We've got to start with the small disciplines, setting up a basic morning routine and keeping those small promises so that we can build momentum.
How do you dedicate it and motivate it?
Because I think, you know, correct me if I'm wrong, but, you know, some people being like, okay, this is great.
And, you know, it's the new year and they start doing it and then they slowly start
dropping and going back into old habits.
But Bruno, working with you, how do you keep on top of them to keep them on that line?
It's really about the accountability factor.
Obviously me, you know me having that appointment to
come see me is going to keep you accountable, but me helping you identify those pains and those
pleasures. If we can attach enough pain or pleasure to making that change, when we reach
that bit of resistance, when you don't have the dedication to keep going, you know, I can bring
those pain points up. I can bring those pleasure points up of, you know, what you're looking
forward to or what you're facing if you don't keep doing this. So it's all about identifying
those pleasures and those pains of those people and stepping in and putting my foot down and
showing that person, you know, you made this commitment.
You told me this is important to you, so I'm going to hold you accountable to it.
Well, I'll tell you what's not painful, and that is interviewing incredible people like yourself, because we have with us again, Bruno Damiani, who is the founder of 100 to Zero, does personal training, lifestyle coach, mentor.
You can reach him at 100to0.com.
And again, this is David Kogan with the Alliances Hero Show.
Make sure you go to alliances.com.
That's E-L-I-A-N-C-E-S.com.
Why?
Well, because it's the only place where entrepreneurs align.
In fact, you may have the lifetime opportunity to also see Bruno live at one of our various experiences,
including the roundtable, because Bruno is part of the community.
In fact, Bruno, talk to us what it's like when the first time that you came to the Alliances roundtable.
Yeah, so the first time I came, you know, I had some expectations just from being in previous networking groups. But you could tell there's a different vibe at E-Liances.
There's a higher level individual that's showing up.
More important, there was an individual that I remembered.
I believe his name is Brian Crum.
The communication that I had to him and just how genuine he was.
You could tell he was trying to figure out how he could help me,
how he could use the alliances network, who he could connect me with. So, and I've seen that
across the board with all the members. It's that they're, they're trying to figure out how we can,
how they can make the connections between the other people in the group where everyone can
benefit and grow together. So that was something that really stood out to me was, you know, the genuine vibe. And then you could just tell they are there with your interest mind.
It's not a take, take, take. It's totally a give, give, give. You know, how can we make this
group as a whole stronger? And again, that's why you want to go to alliances.com. Again,
fill out the form and you may have the opportunity to experience it and be able
to also to meet Bruno.
But you don't have to wait.
You can go to 100to0.com, call him up, schedule a time to meet with him.
Bruno, talk to us about the point of, you know, there's so many different nutritional
products and supplements out there.
I mean, you can get lost in some of these stores.
How do you help guide your clients
to what's best for them to take? Yeah. So education is going to be huge. That's my main objective,
obviously, aside from getting your results is educating you on why we're doing what we're doing
and making sure that your goals are aligned with the actions that you're taking, whether it be
the exercise of choice, the supplements that you have in mind or that you're taking, whether it be the exercise of choice, the
supplements that you have in mind or what you're taking and putting into your body.
So, you know, with my knowledge, you know, I've been in this industry since 2012.
I have a lot of time invested, you know, educating myself on nutrition, nutritional products,
you know, what are the good companies?
What are the companies you want to stay away from. And, you know, if we don't have to fill a gap with a supplement,
then we're not going to do that. That's kind of the, you know, that's, that's the last thing that
want to do. It's literally a supplement, you know, first and foremost, we want to identify where
those gaps are with your whole foods and try to fill those. But if we do have gaps with supplements, you know, I'm going to educate you on the hierarchy of needs. What supplements are,
you know, your foundational supplements and then what ones are at the top of the pyramid
that really aren't going to make a difference. So it's just, it's really based in education
and, you know, and assessing where you're at and what gaps need to be filled, what don't.
And making sure that when you are purchasing supplements, that they're quality supplements.
So believe it or not, the supplement industry is not regulated.
So they're going to sell you whatever they want.
Typically, it's in a pretty package that the highest price margin.
And it's just it's a low quality product.
But I want you to ask yourself this.
When in life
is the cheapest thing, the best, it doesn't exist. Same thing with supplements. You don't want to be
bargaining, uh, you know, with your supplements and going to a big box store and getting, you know,
five pounds of protein for 30 bucks. That's not what quality supplements cost.
Right. I almost say pay now or pay later. Yeah. You're saving your
money and eating whole foods if you don't know it. So another question that, and again, I'll just
paraphrase it, but that came in from a variety of people. It's on this one word. All right. I'm
going to say this one word to you and then you tell me what goes through your mind. Are you ready?
you tell me what goes through your mind are you ready I'm ready sugar sugar okay well a lot of people think sugar is bad all right we want we want to think that
you know there's there's process processed sugar you know things that are
refined and you know natural occurring sugars and fruits and things like that. I don't like to, I don't like people
to think, you know, sugar's bad or sugar's good or there's good sugars or those bad sugars,
because we don't want you to associate, you know, food as good or bad. When it comes down to it at
the end of the day, it's try to keep as much processed foods out of your body, like refined sugars, and understand that the only thing that's really going to make a difference long term is focusing on the amount of food that you're putting into your body, keeping track of that so that we can make sure that you're in a little bit of a deficit so you can lose weight. And if you want to be gaining weight, that you're in a little bit of a surplus, but if it's not being measured, it's not manageable. And you
definitely want to stay away from those processed and refined sugars. Well, Bruno, phenomenal. You
help your clients change the pattern that no longer serve them and support them into growing
into the best self they could be. With everything going on,
even more now than ever, you've got to stay healthy. You've got to stay on top of your game
physically and mentally. And our hero, Bruno Damaniani, can help with that. So make sure
you go and check him out. He is the founder of 100to0. 100to0.com. This has been David Kogan
with the Alliance's Hero Show.
