platforms and incredible people coming together, these creatives. They're awesome, these guys are great. If you go and search for GoldSan, get to know you on their youtube you will see they have various versions for this song and basically it's so cool, I enjoy the vibe, it's all you know yeah it's just cool but now I want to change the rhythm a little bit and I want us to listen to this and see and watch this music video called the writer and it's from let's see I don't want to butcher this name but it's so far away from my Puerto Rican accent. Mesquering means the writer this one is a little on the slow ballad it's a a beautiful music video. I like to have a variety. Last time we were more on the hip-hop side of things. This week I am more of the fresh and the variety and we have

But he's Professor Peanut Butter, Bread, and Jam. Those are the names for the artistic name for the band. But actually, he's my main man, Peter, who is the lead for the band. And we had a really cool conversation that we are going to jump in in a moment

at our um studio yeah class practice space that's so cool guys thank you for being here thank you for taking the time um i always like to start asking everybody i interview like who are you guys like like how are who are you and how do you came about how this whole thing began so um me and me and Jake um got together after the breakup of our last band Crazy Coliseum and um we had another drummer for a couple years but recently we just picked up Becca um so we're kind of the formation of like a bunch of you know a couple bands that broke up and reformed and how you came with the name though um it was our initials like originally it was um we had to use um our our drummer's last but we could always be pb and j and i was like

well that is like me and my siblings initials order to peter becky so yeah it worked on a lot of levels and it's really memorable yeah yeah it is though it is that was that was the one thing we were really going for at the time was hey it's it's easy to remember. Like we say our band name is PB&J. Like they'll probably remember. With it being Crazy Coliseum, everybody was always asking us like, what's your band name again? It was something Coliseum. Yeah. Like, you know, like, or, you know, they'd be, it was crazy.

What? You know, so we wanted to go for something more memorable, I guess. Yeah. I think you did that like you achieved that perfectly okay so what kind of like music do you guys perform or do you enjoy playing the most so like um we we did do a bit of everything. Like we were doing like, you know, everything from jazz to blues to psychedelic to metal to rock.

But, you know, more recently we're going into more stuff that we really enjoy to listen to, which is more, you know, progressive, psychedelic, heavy doom metal, heavy rock, you know, that kind of stuff. Yeah, heavy rock, you know, that, that kind of stuff. Yeah. A little bit of punk with, for some, some of our faster songs, but you know, like we're going to release an album here on the 20th at our house show.

And that album's starting to go more in that direction, but our next album that we're going to release after this new one is going to be very heavily that metal, more heavy-inspired concept album as well. Okay, on that note, what bands inspired you guys? Okay, on that note, like what bands inspire you guys? Like for, like the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a big inspiration for his bassist, Mastodon, Ghost. Nirvana is another pretty big one, you know, Deftones. We do take a lot of heavy influence from Grunge as well. All right, and how long have you guys been together in this new project? So, we just got, we just got Becca, yeah, three or four months ago, but me and Jake have been playing together for the past five, six years, at least.

Yeah. So. All right. Right now we've got four albums out, going to come out with our fifth, and plans for our sixth. All right, all right. plans for our sixth. All right. All right.

And like, I saw, can you talk, tell me about, tell us about the video you have right now, the checkered, checkered,

checkered flag on a music video? Yeah, that's so cool. It's like, and heavy at the same time. Yeah. It's so, it's, if you didn't know, it's so it's if you didn't know it's it's kind

of a joke it's kind of a joke song like um we we have we wrote it yeah we wrote it because like we didn't we didn't we we always claim that we play like kind of a little bit of everything and we're like well we didn't really have much country in there so that was our attempt that was our attempt at a country song he's so trippy though you know yeah and uh it was actually because one of our good friends uh bruce dunn did the did the music video he actually just got nominated for um an academy award or some kind of award big award um i can't remember what but it was in it actually no it was an emmy he got nominated for an emmy um the guy who did our music video oh that's cool so yeah yeah all right and about the i know you have your uh facebook uh live performances you do every

thursday you live stream every Thursday night. Yeah, so tell me about that, how that came about. We started doing it because of Corona. Yeah, I remember that. You know, nobody could do anything, you know, live-wise, like nobody, you couldn't go to the bar or anything, so we were like, well, we can do stuff online, and then, you know, after, you know, the bars opened, our live shows got to the point where it was like, well, we're getting a couple hundred views a video. Why not just keep it going? And it got to the point where it was like,

well, we're getting a couple thousand views a video. You can't really stop now, can we? Yeah. And what's the page? How can people reach you guys on Facebook and on YouTube? Or on YouTube?
