Starting point is 00:00:00 All right. Well, I'm very excited. I'm very excited because you're listening, watching me, David Kogan. And we've got a special guest today I'm very excited about. In fact, she is running for U.S. Republican Senatorial Candidate. She's a licensed real estate broker, mortgage broker. And welcome to the show, Sarah Yu. Now, you can reach her directly. You see the link below, drsarahluforcongress.com. So make sure you go to that website.
Starting point is 00:00:33 I'm very excited, Sarah, that you're here today. We've got a lot of information, a lot of things that voters want to know about. They want to hear your position on various things and you're running. And you're from cal from california right that's where i do california yes excellent excellent so um what are your main priorities in other words what has become there's so many things that are happening right now right
Starting point is 00:00:57 in the world in california and that what are your most important issues for you to share your life story with? Yes. I have three top priorities, business support and immigration and education support. So because of those three issues become my priority, because I've been 28 years CEO of my company, three companies. One is a fintech company. I'm running a fintech company for about 27 years, and then a real estate brokerage company, as well as a legal company. So those companies experience now is a business so struggle through COVID-19.
Starting point is 00:01:55 So those clients who believe me, who choose me and are able to do this, as well as I am learning to non-profit, supporting entrepreneur and generation economic group. supporting entrepreneur and generation economic group. So as well as, you know, church, senior pastor, my older professional life, I cannot just be quiet during this COVID-19. So that's why I become first priority supporting business. Second, my priority is immigration because I'm a first immigrant. The immigration life is so tough. I know that because I can be an immigration voice, we have so many immigration issues, employment issues, job creation issues, visa issues. So many things I did of processing immigration service through my legal company. I think I can do it. I can help the immigration more next level. And as well as my third devoted to church education, pastor.
Starting point is 00:03:33 All those diversifies my experience. You know, I want to helping because during this COVID-19, church closed, non-property, no supported. Because during this COVID-19, church closed, non-property, no support. So real estate needed more like a strong leader to need to support. That's why those three main issues I can help when I go to the Senate. We have a budget and financials. We can help them. budget and financials or you can have that yeah well I think what's great is Sarah that you know you've got a lot of experience right you've been there you know what you know what it's going like I definitely buzzwords entrepreneur with
Starting point is 00:04:17 this you know being an entrepreneur and definitely small businesses they need your help um you know with with all of the things once you win notice how i didn't say if you win once you win sarah and you get in the office it becomes a thing as is now now what i mean you you've got this knowledge you know what needs to be fixed how do you on day one because this is what you know people want to be fixed. How do you on day one, because this is what you know, people want to know too, is on day one, where do you, what do you do first? How do you pull together? Yes. You know, it's like David Korgans and Alliance, you know, their contribution, their talent.
Starting point is 00:05:10 I am one of Alliance member. I'm so thankful to, I'm proud of that as the entrepreneur get supported. So today's entrepreneur needed to more supported. So my main top issue is business support. So I wanted to, I've been all my life in America, one of the entrepreneur, f nonprofit. So many issues in my business also had a COVID-19 effect. So first, you know, I can, because of business, budget, you know, so I can do proposal for tax cut because we have 12 different kind of tax, employer tax, as well as, you know,
Starting point is 00:06:21 sales tax, property tax, federal tax, corporation tax, earning tax, you know, so many taxes we pay, end up employee, employee pay tax, payroll tax, employer, employee, all pay tax. So that's why end up, you know, we become poverty because too high tax and the entrepreneur needed to cost cut for business. So I want to support those tax cuts, make entrepreneur business cut. As well as second, I want to support new starting business in America because new startup business, global startup business, and America a business, global start-up business, and America start-up business, they need help because we need their help too because in the report, many global start-up companies
Starting point is 00:07:22 and American start-up companies, um you know startup company and america startup company they creations yearly million millions jobs and economic uh 13 trillion trillion you know the cash flow incomes economic group from global uh you know the startup so but the startup is not uh really successful because of they don't have enough funds so i'm going to uh enough funds or unseen unskilled workers you know not enough skill workers there that's why our startup is closed i will going to support those microphones with clothes, I will going to support those micro funds able to business owner can, you know, had enough funds. And then as well as unskilled, unskillable workers needed to more skill medications, as well as, you know, skill of workers. We are not paying high pay for those professional persons. That's why they are discouraged
Starting point is 00:08:32 for their jobs. So I want to solve those problems as well as I want to support many immigrants. That's what I want to get to next, definitely. I think immigration is the next thing. So in regards to immigration, a few questions. And one of those is, why is it such a hot topic for those that may not know? And then the second thing is, it seems like we're always talking about immigration.
Starting point is 00:09:05 And in the past, yeah, there's been some things that have been done, but haven't been done. So why is it a hot topic? And then the second thing, what are you going to do about it, immigration, when you're elected? Yes, immigration, you know, many, you many, I go listen to voters, citizens. They nearly not recognize immigration's value in coming to America. Because I came to America as first immigration, we should open the arms, be welcomed. But many immigration
Starting point is 00:09:49 conditions now outdated. You know, palace is there. That's why it brings the problem. Example, there is, you know, example, first citizenship. We are citizens, but we become citizens. Many people, they are immigrants. They start going, they came to America, they are cleaning citizens' house, they are running citizens' business. They are a big economic contribution to America by immigrants, but we are not really value
Starting point is 00:10:28 those immigrants. So, first I want to do immigration. We have to have what I can do because we have authority. We have
Starting point is 00:10:43 to do something for immigration. We need to make more quota for the immigrant. Because now five visas, A, B, five visas, those I have, we have only one quarter. But now with COVID-19, we needed to more surprise. But who was contribution those? Most immigrant workers come to America, unskillable people, you know, they only allowed temporary and only allowed 5,000 green card per year. So that's make limited motivation to other immigrants to come to America as well as, you know, we are, we start to contribute to America's economy. So as a senator, candidate, I think we need a most open moral code to the, moral code on the skill of workers. And also, secondly, I want to help entrepreneurs
Starting point is 00:12:07 skill of workers. And also second, I want to help entrepreneurs to come to America more fast, easily. We don't have entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, so many, their contribution, this world, this economy, the American economy, even their Korea, they did already scale up in their country and they're coming up. So we need to give some fast, you know, green card or like E2 or EB-5 visas. So we need, I want to work for those entrepreneurs come to America, bring million dollars, like, for example, EB-5 visas. I want to help them to create jobs in America, contribution jobs in America. But the cities in the United States, we forgot that we were there.
Starting point is 00:13:00 We are so benefited from those immigration people learning your business. They clean your house. They clean everything. They make your food table every day. We forgot those values. So I was going to help those entrepreneurs and learning business here. entrepreneur and then learning business here. Another thing, so you know there's I have so many other details I can post on Dr. Sarali's show. Those is my main I want to do and then also there is a student and we have the STEM workers we need but we don't support those STEM workers like technology,
Starting point is 00:13:49 science, technology, energy, engineering, and the mathematics. They gradation, they got F1 visa and they go back to their country. They stay here until PhD, 10 years, but we only give one year's extended for work permission. But we lost those power, those immigration economic growth, because they go back to Korea, they go back to China, because China is so strong right now. So we have to solve those, update immigration policy. Right. What do we do to keep them, um, update immigration policy. Right. What do we do to keep them here? I mean, here they've gone through, they've got the education now and we're going to talk about education next and stuff, but how do you keep them, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:35 how do you incentivize them to stay here instead of going back? Yeah, that's right. That's only Congress power can able to, Congress only can able to make more like stay here, how we can do, let them, you know, let them stay during those F1 visa student. They can work out and then after that their graduations, we give a fast H-1, more H-1 quota we need. And we need more job opportunity to them before they go back to their country. So we have to have creation of immigration, more jobs, and keep on this country and the economic group. more jobs and keep on this country and the economic group because still we are now it changed you know technology is so important so we need more workers you know workers sorted in technology industry uh you know so we have to we have to make the one thing we can do on congress you know, we have to make more H-1 visa, more numbers they can apply, and
Starting point is 00:15:48 more, you know, there is more like quorals. They have quorum limited, so we have to more extended, you know, so let them more like choose more people can able to work here. people can able to walk. Yes. Yeah. So one thing is with the immigration, right, is having them come over here and helping them get settled, helping them get educated, helping them get into the community, providing for the are, you know, like the example, H- coming, they contribute on our economy, but we are only allowed them certain two years, three years. And then they are scalable and they have to go back to, because of immigration law, why don't you can let them stay three years, four years, five years, six years? And they don't have any green card applied opportunity even. They are skilled here.
Starting point is 00:17:12 They don't have many, only the visas, they don't have option to apply green card related to those visas. They have to apply, not apply to another visa, another visa, or another visa. Everything visa related is sponsored for the entrepreneur. But entrepreneur does not allow them to work extended or work not sponsored to immigration, they cannot stay here. So we have to have more like everything in immigration America has a sponsorship, family sponsor and employee your sponsor. Without sponsor they cannot get a green card. So as well as a family sponsor, they have to wait 10 years, 20 years. So this is once they die, they have interdicted. So this is broken immigration. You know, example, myself, I am citizen of
Starting point is 00:18:16 the United States. I give up to, you know, apply for my family members come to America because you know once they are interview everything ten years they become old they cannot survive here so that's why this immigration system we need you know reformed the Senate they can change the law immigration law law. That's the power of Senate committee. This is great. And again, I'm speaking with Sarah Liu, U.S. Republican senatorial candidate. You can reach her at drsarahluforcongress.com. You'll see the link below.
Starting point is 00:19:01 You can again go ahead and go to that, drcarolouforcongress.com. So the third topic, and again, you're right, all of these definitely wrap around one another and could build the state of California. And the third one that is just as important as the other two that you all spoke to, that I believe you we correct is the education part. How do you wrap it all now with education? Talk to us about your take on education and what you're going to be when you're elected. Yes, education is my top priority.
Starting point is 00:19:41 At this point, the COVID-19, we are more like see the education system corruption due to COVID-19. So before even COVID-19, we need to really reform today's American education. We need more because of school size, too much size. And then as well as technology, they don't have a new computer. They need a new computer. They don't have really teachers, you know, resource center. Like a teacher needed to, you know, they have to learn, they have to study for, you know, school class, people go go to the class but they don't have really enough resources so as well as the scam medications you know a scam education needed to start from children age so
Starting point is 00:20:36 that children can learn early age science technology and engineering, and math, they can only contribute to our economy when they become big variations from college or university, technology, engineering, and those fields, we need more jobs. But those STEM education is so important at a very early age. Also, there are many partnerships in the learning business. We need to support those parents. Parents are involved in education. We need education parents, maybe education contribution centers or parent education centers. We need education parents, maybe education contribution center or parents education center, something we need those programs because school, because now America educations, they are devoted 100% to teachers. And so we need parents need more involving and parents, you know, need more resource to teach their own students. Also, students are healthy. Many, many students in America still don't even have three days for meals. So we need to support So we need to support those, you know, enough nutrients to the school program. And also we need more funding to school because school is very short in finance.
Starting point is 00:22:15 That's why even small budget. So I'm going to do more budget, you know, we have spending for the school. As well as no children left behind because the working mother and working fathers, they worry about children behind because there's not enough after school or not enough support. there's not enough after school or not enough support. So 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. is more like juvenile claims, more happening because of children left behind. So I want really, you know, helping,
Starting point is 00:22:59 I want to support all the children education, as well as, you know, college and high school. They, after degradation in high school, there is so low rate for going to college because they are not really prepared. Maybe parents, because of parents, they qualify, you know, school record. So we need to support those more like colleges to go to the right place to take an education.
Starting point is 00:23:28 As well as, you know, they need to, you know, not just book trainings, not just read books. They need to go to the internship more and then hire by entrepreneur. by the entrepreneur. And when they are graduating, they can be more like a skilled worker, and they can buy their own house early. But in America, only with books, they don't really have the system to those college students can be able to get training skills. So my policy is that the Entrepreneur Support Job Creation Support Center program is able to go to college students early age. They can come to the Entrepreneur Support Center. They fill out applications and another entrepreneur is still Other entrepreneurs are looking for jobs, qualified workers, we can make together. And also non-profits are always looking for helping contribution. Like I have a non-profit supporting the tech creation, economic growth.
Starting point is 00:24:42 So we need to fund this more money to those non-profit and entrepreneur and college college student and then as also non-profit to our workforce together those entrepreneurial calculations of hope center able to you know support those college to get the job and you know they are stable jobs able to you know then they have jobs they don't worry about student loan deaths. I have my friend Tony he is right of 60 years old still he pay for student loan portion of his salary so that's the big problem in America. We need to make those college students able to work during skill level. And then they can have a contribution. They can produce, they can buy the house. You know, they can do more things, contribution, America's economic and themselves and their family, their future children, they get more life support. So that's my policy to education. Oh, that's great. Let's talk about
Starting point is 00:25:52 the educators themselves. There's definitely ones that can sway the votes and that. So the teachers that are out there, you know, I come from a background of teachers, and I've been a teacher who taught at various levels K through college. And how do you keep these good educators, the teachers, to stay in their position and stuff with everything going on in California and in the world for that matter and stuff to keep them safe from everything and the COVID stuff, but to keep the good teachers
Starting point is 00:26:36 employed and in the system to educate the future leaders. Yes, you know, I have a special those answers because, you know, the teacher, like myself, you know, I went to Harvard, Harvard Graduation Education, two years courses, school management leadership courses, and as well as Harvard Business School. Together, we have combined program two years, get the certification, school management leadership. So like myself, I have learning so many different class or so many different business, class or so many different business like education and then school management.
Starting point is 00:27:28 My second head up, we needed to more like source needed to like Harvard education. They do have a lot of program to helping teachers. So we needed to we needed to
Starting point is 00:27:44 more like a tax credit or a fund to the teacher able to go to those public schools or the university to relate those, give more credit. If they go to the, especially their school teachers, we can give credit back those they go to the training. And as well as safety is so important. We see that our TV, many place is a school class, the grade is so, so, you know, you know, like higher at this point. So we have to behave, student behave, because they need to more like teach us love, caring, and parents caring, and make, we need to support students locally, globally, you know, we have to do the student needed to be happy at the school, make safety, have
Starting point is 00:29:00 to guarantee during this COVID, like we asking mandate, mask mandate, you know, vaccine mandate, now so stressed. So we needed to safety guarantee through more like around more like school, need more police or video, more certified, more funded for the security of the safety area, as well as we need to train those parents or students why we need to take masks, why we need to take action is important. So I think the things, if we give many, many things, the person just accepted, but there is an ability to accept it. So we have to step by step, we can influence those education to the people. We need a supply. We have to enough teachers in the school
Starting point is 00:29:56 because we are so sorted. Even nine hour federal and state budget is cut, million, million dollars cut because of the student does not endure because of this COVID-19. Now it's more like a cut, you know, more like a cut budget. So I think everything, education is number one, my priority, that we have to really, government, we have to really think about next generations from the kindergarten, now even born, you know, we have to really step by step, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:37 the age they needed, step by step age, they need a real good teacher, step by step, they need a lot of different supplies. So we have the really good support to those, you know, those family factor or like a school factor. So, you know, parents factor, you know, we needed to do, yeah. Well, Sarah, I got to tell you, you you know you know the issues and you're doing something about it you're taking it in your own hand to drive towards a better california that's what it's about sarah you u.s republican senatorial candidate make sure you go ahead go to her website dr sarah
