It comes to mind. I know for a fact you are alive in the 90s. You were alive in the 1990s and the 1890s. So you had two different decades. Yeah, what about that movie about the train coming

towards the screen? Did you like that? Well, that terrified my wife and I, actually, before she died of consumption. What else? Birth of a nation, metropolis. Yeah, these are all the really good ones. The one, the Lumiere one that Smashing Pumpkins ripped off with the rocket and the moon. Erin, you said Brave Little Toaster.

Yeah, I'd say Empire Records. I've watched both 10 Things I Hate About You and Empire Records within the last year. I've watched both of those movies recently. So I would say those are strong contenders for 90s movies. They both are good, they're both good. Although I think maybe not Empire Records,

but maybe 10 Things I Hate About You has a couple questionable words thrown in good. Yeah. Although I think maybe not Empire Records, but maybe 10 things I hate about you has a couple has a couple questionable words thrown in that you're like, oh, it's the kind of thing that it's like, it's not awful, but it's jarring to remember that those there were some words that were used so casually, just a scant 20 years ago. Yeah. Yeah. And in that movie, you associate it with like it being mostly harmless. Like I'd be like, yeah, I think like a modern nine or 10 year old could watch

that. There's no like sex in that movie. There's nothing to agree just and then all of a sudden you're like, uh-oh. Yeah. Yeah. I see. If we're going for like a movie that whole family can enjoy, I'd say 90s may I'd say happiness. Welcome to the dollhouse.

I wanna say Magnolia. Man, that, oh fuck. Right under the wire. Yeah, that is a movie though I haven't seen in like 10 years. So I do want to, it's due for a revisit when I can find seven and a half hours to watch that movie. That movie and soundtrack made me fall in love with Amy Mann. Mm-hmm, Amy Mann, fantastic.

Not to this show, but in general I am a listener. That's not even true either. I was just listening to a podcast before we got on here. What podcast? I listen to podcasts all the time. What podcast? Was it, Oh, morning news. Damn. Oh, 10 minutes of very serious morning news.

It was words, it was knowledge fight, which is the podcast that listens to Alex Jones and that goes through Infowars. So I was, through no fault of my own, I have consumed a lot of Alex Jones and Info Wars content just by listening to a podcast that covers it, which is a strange thing. That is fault of your own.

Wait, did you just say no fault of my own and you're listening to a podcast that explicitly covers Alex Jones? Well, but it's like, I haven't watched Alex Jones' program, but I have picked up a lot of his program from clips. So it's like, I wasn't sitting out to intentionally listen to Alex Jones, although he does make a lot of great points.

Wait a second. I have a question here. Uh-oh. This is a question from, says JPC, and it says, Adel, how did you enjoy Dune in 40X? I'm so glad you asked. Wow, okay. This fucking movie is so good. I couldn't believe that at all. You would not seem to you went you went like a whole ass two years without.

Wait, how long has that been out? I kept I was like, oh, I want to see it. And then I missed it. And Aaron was like, uh, Aaron Keith, our friend and cohost was like, you have to see the theaters. Like the most beautiful thing, uh, since like star like the, you have to see the theaters. It's like the most beautiful thing since like Star Wars. Like the movie you have to see in theaters hasn't occurred since Star Wars. I said Lord of the Rings, but yes.

Lord of the Rings, you said Phantom Man. So I was like, I gotta see it and then I missed it. And then it came on like Max and then it was on Netflix and Gemma and I kept being like, let's watch tomorrow, let's watch Dune and then it kept being pushed and kicked down the road, kicked down the road, kicked down the road. Finally-

You said let's watch Dune tomorrow for two years? Yeah, well here's the thing. This is a memento situation. It's just shooting you up with insolidation too. I have time blindness. And so in my head I'm like, it's a, what a recent release. And then they re-released it in 40X and iMacs

because part two's coming out in like a couple days, a week or something. Maybe it's already out, who knows, I forget. But I was like, oh, I gotta go see it. And then it pops up on the screen, it says 2021. And in my head, it had released in like spring 2023. Yeah, yeah. And that's how fucked my head is.

Yeah. But it was unbelievable. I thought that was such a fantastic movie. And my favorite thing was that little, the black, it was like a black spider human or something. It's like the Baron's pet. Oh, oh yes, yes, yes. Yeah, the black spider human.

Yeah, I wanted to come back. It's like drinking from a bowl or something. It's called the JPC. Yeah. For the JPC. Now Alex and me, and I thought his favorite part for sure was that there was a real character named Duncan Idaho, which he told me was something that he assumed that we had made up to trick him.

It's such a fucking stupid name that, I remember JPC at some point referencing Duncan Idaho and I'm like, ah ha ha ha, very funny. And then they're like, it's me, Duncan Idaho. I mean, here's me, Duncan Ido. I mean, here's what I'll say. The movie's fantastic. Jason Momoa seems wildly out of place.

I don't, can he act? Well, here's the thing. When a famous person shows up in a big budget famous property, you're like, okay, like it, this was bound to happen. Like, no one even needs to be a good actor. Oh, bound, my favorite 90s movie, Bound. Yeah. No one needs to be a good actor. Oh, Bound. My favorite 90s movie, Bound.

No one needs to be a good actor. They just have to be a good famous, right? A good famous. Yeah. You just have to be a recognizable, because it's all branding, right? You're just putting a brand into a property. Adel, can I ask you a question? Yes. I think the most fun part of seeing Dune is on the car ride home, everyone doing their best impression of the soundtrack. Did you play that game?

Because that's the best part. The, ah, da, ba, dee, da. Did you do that game? That could also be any season of Survivor. Uh, one that's true. Give it a shot if you want in your car, if you're listening to this, maybe turn us down. Don't even pause it, just turn us down.

Yeah. I was trying to do the, I was, well I went and saw it with Casey and I gave Casey a ride home. So on the ride home, I sleep, I'm so sorry, sleep with Tony. And so on the ride home, I was trying to use, I don't know what they call it, cause I couldn't, it was, cause we saw it at like 2 AM. Gaslighting. I tried to use that voice,'t know what they call it, because we saw it at like 2 a.m. Gaslighting.

I tried to use that voice, the gaslighting voice. So I spoke firmly but powerfully and I said, jump out of the car. And Casey jumped. And so that's, and so Casey's gone. That's why both his arms are broken. Yeah, rip his arms out. You were trying to use the voice on him, season 14.

That's the thing that Ben and Jesser at use. You know what? I'm I'm I have not seen the second I have not seen the second Dune yet, but I I am kind of quasi excited for it. But I gotta be honest with you guys. I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan of these like two part movies. If you want to do like a 10 part TV show, I'm fine with that. I'm fine waiting a week, but I it's, it's, it's a bummer to wait like two years

for like the second part of a movie. Cause basically they're like, now you gotta go back and rewatch that first part of the movie. I'm giving Dune another three hours of my life. What, what's what's going on here? I will say normally I'd be pissed off, but Dune was so good I gave it a pass also into the spider verse, or across the spider verse.

So freaking good. You know what? Take your time. Serve it to me hot. No. Go make it, go back in the kitchen, make it fresh, and I'll come back to the restaurant in a couple of years and eat later.

These all get a pass from me, and it's the pass where it's I pass on enjoying it. I my pass is on viewing and enjoying it pass. It's a pass for me.
