Starting point is 00:00:00 Lately, I've been trying to be more intentional about what I wear, intentional about everything, just choosing pieces that feel effortless, still put together, timeless, but also not overthinking it every morning. It's why I keep going back to quince. Their pieces just make getting dressed easier and I feel so classy. I feel elevated. The fits are flattering. The fabric is really high quality. Everything is wearable day to day. I actually got this really, really, beautiful yellow V-neck midi dress from them, and I paired it with some Italian leather sandals. It's one of those outfits that just works. It feels polished but still comfortable. It's exactly what I've been looking for. What surprises me, though, is the quality for the price.

Starting point is 00:02:20 See dealer for financing details. You were concerned about Chad's association with Julie Rose. That correct? Why were you concerned about that relationship? Again, because of what was contained in the book that he was publishing for her. And when I did observe them together, it was concerning to me their personal relationship. What do you mean by that? Judge, this is going beyond the scope of a world?
Starting point is 00:02:47 They seemed particularly close. Can you explain your observation? He brought her to our home to show her our land, and it goes back to a river. And so they walked back, walked along this land, went back to the river. What I observed was that Chad and Julie were communicating very close to each other. And Tammy and her children were kind of following behind. They kind of envisioned all of this area would be. People would be coming from Utah to put their tents down.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Chad brought Julie. Julie Row. Okay, I want to hear this story. I was very, very upset that he did that. And I don't remember why, probably just doing a get-together. But Tammy and the other kids were with her. So the whole, so Tammy, Chad, Julie, and some of the children. Some of the kids.
Starting point is 00:03:48 And so we're walking, they walked back here. Oh, look at a bit. That was for you, Tammy. Yeah, we have all kinds of wildlife back here. It's really fun. That's beautiful. But this property goes back to the Henry's Fork River. it's a water source
Starting point is 00:04:12 and so Chad's thing was you know people could come here and there would be water available there's animal life out here he brought Julie out so as we as we walk to this so he just comes without notice is that so he yeah
Starting point is 00:04:29 he just kind of shows up must have just been a time when she was coming for one of her events okay and again I do don't remember why Matt's other brother was here, so we just must have been having a get together. If you can see where, if you were going to house people in tent, it's, it's, it's
Starting point is 00:05:01 space. There's, yeah. And he, you know, he wanted to move by you guys. It does tell me something, you know, he. Yeah, we, like I told you, we specifically flat out, no way of mistake. asking us, please not to leave into our neighborhood. And I've heard, you know, people comment and things, you know, how rude that was of me, but I knew why he was coming.
Starting point is 00:05:29 I knew what his purpose was. Yeah. And that was one thing about Chad. He totally disregarded the things that we had asked him not to do. in our home and he didn't care. Do you think it was, and this is a new question, do you think he, it was that he just didn't care? Or do you think he almost doubled downed when you asked him not to do something?
Starting point is 00:05:59 Or do you think you just didn't care? Well, I think he just, I think he thought he was right and he, and it was strange because he'd go back and tell other people that we were happy that they were, like he just, I don't know if it was just a narrative in his mind that was going to be, what happened in matter what he felt how or just
Starting point is 00:06:20 I don't know he just because like I said I didn't hear from different people back in Springville that we were thrilled that he was
Starting point is 00:06:30 buying the house by us and our feet got extra noisy after that water but coming up on the Henry's Fork River oh this is beautiful
Starting point is 00:06:45 so yeah this was Chad's vision white tents set up here by the Henry Fork River by Eldon's property and his brother's property
Starting point is 00:07:00 So I again was in the house An eagle A boat I have never seen a wild I have never seen a wild bald eagle before Ever
Starting point is 00:07:19 Well it was eating something It's a muskrat That's gross Okay Okay Eagles are pretty But they're scavengers And they eat gross
Starting point is 00:07:28 Oh my. Okay, yeah. Wow. So, because I was in the house and didn't walk back here with them, Nat did tell me after that, that Chad and Julie were pretty, like, just physically, just kind of next to each other. And Julie's got tears, you know, because they've seen all this. And this is in front of Tammy. Like, just no, no. And so I did come out as they were walking back to the house. I kind of came out and met them, saw them. So I observed myself, Chad and Julie, very, you know, kind of talking to each other closely. Very intimately. Because they were, you know, really united in this, these things that they were seeing. And as we're all walking back to the house, that's what I observed and it made me very, very uncomfortable to see Chad and Julie together.
Starting point is 00:08:31 And then behind them is Tammy and her kids walking behind them. Wow. I, again, I'm watching for those kinds of things. My husband, so it was interesting. My husband and his other brother both made the same comment. So it wasn't just me that was thinking. That's right. This wasn't just.
Starting point is 00:08:56 This wasn't just the potster. The pot stir. So, and it wasn't just Matt and I, but Matt's other brother did comment that that was odd. Odd. That it looked uncomfortable and inappropriate. So, and it just made me feel really bad for Tammy. Right.
Starting point is 00:09:16 But those two were kind of in cahoots the way that they were. Cahoots and canoodling and having visions together. And so they came out here and she was weeping. In other words. So I was told that she, yeah, got emotional because this was things that she had seen. And so when I came out and Chad introduced her and Julie tried to give me a big hug, I'm not a typically. You don't like to hug people.
Starting point is 00:09:45 I did not want a hug. And she felt that. She commented, Chad told me later, commented that she could tell I was not happy that she was there. Well, she got one thing right. But again, Chad didn't care. He just didn't, he didn't, again, I don't know if he didn't care or if he just was so oblivious and doesn't know how to read a room. Right. Or was he telling you that just to hurt you too?
Starting point is 00:10:12 Like, she could tell, you know? I guess you never know what his could be. Who knows? But that's kind of what I was dealing with for those many years before this even. this awful stuff happened is that's just how that's how he worked he just he kind of was in his world and did it how he wanted and it didn't matter how anyone else felt about it right wow so really he probably wanted your property he wanted a shed or something on your property when that didn't happen they found the house and even though tammy didn't
Starting point is 00:10:56 He's like, we're buying it. Yeah, and they'd seen the house. Tammy didn't like it. So hey, can we put the shed? I guess. And honestly, week later, is when he called Matt, hey, we bought that house. And we were pretty shocked by that. This is, this is so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Yeah, so as hard as it's been to be in this position, to be Chad's family and family and especially for me having left our church that's the predominant church here. This is why I can't leave. I love my home and I worked hard. Now it's worked really hard. Yeah. It is beautiful. Can I ask you, it's been a while since we saw each other and I noticed your new tattoo and I asked you about it.
Starting point is 00:12:06 me about it. Can you tell, can you share? I just want to say what that means. This has very deep meaning for me, especially in my having left the LDS faith as a woman. So this represents, kind of represents me and where I'm at now and I, she has my back. I trust her. And she's kneeling down kind of grounded to the and looking up, that represents me and that I will never bow my head and say yes again. But I will determine what is best for me. Much of what I was experiencing in the church was not best for me. So, yeah. So it's been a wild few years, that's for sure.
Starting point is 00:13:11 I'm so happy we got to see an eagle up for us. I have never seen a bald eagle. I am today years old. The first time that was, that was beautiful. And there is a moose that beds going out in here. How far is Yellowstone? To get to West Yellowstone, so you'll get up to Island Park and probably an hour maybe to West Yellowstone.
Starting point is 00:13:43 Okay. So Matt and I were just there in West Yellowstone last weekend. We think Camden and I own park like West Yellowstone and how nice. The barbecue restaurant that they stopped at. They stopped at is no longer an open business that we saw. Really? That's interesting. But that's that's that's haunting to there really is nowhere that I can go here and not have like I showed you everything school for Estetician school and right there's the complex Lori lived in and just yeah in fact for those that are listening to this right before this I didn't record it but she showed me yes where you went to edestitian school and she showed me because we were looking at Lori's townhome and you said oh and there and that's what I looked at every day in aesthetician school yep so I have to pass that
Starting point is 00:14:35 church building to get home I have to pass child's house and so it's It gets better with time that I surely wish Chad's trial was not. None of this is going to be resolved and done for at least a year. So it goes, it carries on. It goes on and on. But as far as my little family, we're making the best of. You're taking it back. That's one thing that Matt will say.
Starting point is 00:15:17 He's like, Heather, if we left and we left all of this, then Chad won. And I, that's not my motivation for staying, but it's, I don't want to give Chad that. So, well, thank you for sharing this bit of paradise with me. And there's anything else you want to say. Thank you for doing this today. So many people have been curious how you've been doing. love and admire you. I've had a ton of support after my interviews came out.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Had a lot of people all around the world. A lot of people reach out. Very supportive. So that was really hopeful. Surprisingly, even more than the Chad case, a lot of women reaching out concerning my weaving, church and how helpful hearing my story was to them. So that was important to me.
Starting point is 00:16:31 And I did my, one of my main reasons in doing that interview was to share my story and that our family, Matt and I, our family was not complacent, was not okay, was not a follower that we did as much as we could do. do. And do you feel good about sharing your voice? I do. There's some people that I read comments and not everyone is kind and that's okay. I've learned my, I've got a lot thicker skin than I used to.
Starting point is 00:17:11 But overall it's been, I'm glad I did that interview. Good. And like I said, a ton of support from just really good people. And a lot more support from strangers than even from some that are close to me. Interesting. So that's been good. And as far as the bad comments go, welcome to the internet. Yeah, that's.
Starting point is 00:17:33 It's amazing. Yeah, I just, some people I think, oh, you need a hug. Yeah, hurt people, hurt people. Hurting people. All right. Well, thank you, Heather. Welcome. Ladies and gentlemen, we are now boarding group A.
