Lately, I've been trying to be more intentional about what I wear, intentional about everything,
just choosing pieces that feel effortless, still put together, timeless, but also not overthinking it
every morning. It's why I keep going back to quince. Their pieces just make getting dressed
easier and I feel so classy. I feel elevated. The fits are flattering. The fabric is really
high quality. Everything is wearable day to day. I actually got this really, really,
beautiful yellow V-neck midi dress from them, and I paired it with some Italian leather sandals.
It's one of those outfits that just works. It feels polished but still comfortable. It's exactly
what I've been looking for. What surprises me, though, is the quality for the price.
Quince uses premium materials like European linen, organic cotton, but they cut out the
middleman. So everything is priced way lower than you'd expect. Refresh.

and 365 day returns. Quince.com slash hidden true crime. I just don't understand. I don't
understand why. Friends and family remain desperate for answers as investigators continue to search for
the Olmas Park Realtor and Mother of Four. This case unfolded right as the trial in Delphi was
gearing up, but Hidden True Crime has been following and are now ready to update you on all the details.
We are going to go over the full backstory of the case, everything we know so far. And it starts
in the quiet, upscale neighborhood of Almost Park, Texas, where 51-year-old Suzanne Simpson,
a beloved mother and respected realtor, vanished without a trace on the
evening of October 6, 24. Her disappearance sparked an immediate and frantic search as multiple law
enforcement agencies, including the Texas Rangers, began piecing together the details of the
evening she went missing and the disturbing clues that have emerged in the week since.
Suzanne's story has since garnered a wave of media attention and despite extensive efforts to
locate Suzanne, her whereabouts at the time of this recording December 7, 2024, remain unknown.
And so in this episode, we're going to go through all of the information so far that has been
released in chronological order. On the evening of October 6th, 2024, Suzanne and her husband,
Brad Simpson, attended a party at the Argyle. It's a private social club located in Alamo Heights,
a neighborhood in San Antonio. Witnesses at the Argyle later described seeing Brad and Suzanne
in verbal altercation. After the event, the couple returned home to their residence in Alamo's
Park, now around 10 p.m., a neighbor living across the street from the Simpson's home reported
hearing loud arguing coming from the direction of the Simpson household. As the noise escalated,
the neighbor looked outside and he saw Suzanne and Brad engaged in a physical altercation.
The neighbor observed Suzanne attempting to escape Brad's grasp as he pulled her back towards the house,
physically restraining her. The neighbor noted that Brad seemed to be actively preventing Suzanne from
running away. The neighbor, alarmed by the sounds of the struggle, went outside with his flashlight,
and he reported hearing screams coming from a nearby wooded area. About an hour later, he saw Brad
Simpson drive away in his black 2019 GMC pickup truck returning one to two hours later. The next
days, Suzanne's family and friends began to realize something was terribly wrong. Suzanne, who had
always been involved in her children's lives and a constant presence at their school and sports
events missed picking up her child from school. And when Brad was contacted about his wife's absence,
he claimed to have no idea where she was. Initially, it was reported that Brad reported Suzanne
missing once he got a phone call from their child school, notifying him that Suzanne didn't show
up to pick up their child around 3 p.m. However, Thomas Park Police Chief confirmed Brad
didn't report Suzanne missing for several hours, not until roughly 10 p.m.
Not only that, but Suzanne's friends were actually the first to report or missing.
A group of them got together to discuss Suzanne's disappearance, and one of them decided to call
Brad with concerns that he had not called in his own wife as missing.
It was made clear to Brad that a call was going to be made to report Suzanne missing.
And after that phone call with the friend, that friend called and reported Suzanne missing
just before 10 p.m.
And then a few minutes after 10 p.m.,
well, that was when Brad made his phone call.
Brad told police that he had last seen Suzanne
on the evening of October 6th when they returned from the party.
However, Brad's behavior was perceived
as suspicious from the outset, to say the least.
According to law enforcement,
Brad was uncooperative during the investigation,
failed to appear to a follow-up interview,
and instead traveled to his ranch in Bandera,
County, which is approximately an hour and 22 minutes from Bear County. The investigation to
Suzanne's disappearance took a major turn on October 8th. A family member of Brad Simpson revealed
that Brad had struck Suzanne in the face and possibly shoved her into a wall. The family member also
reported that Suzanne's cell phone was missing, and Brad had taken control of it. Later on, it was
revealed that the family member was one of the minor children who told a teacher,
at school, which we will get into more later on.
Brad was subsequently arrested on charges of assault causing bodily injury, family violence
and unlawful restraint following the neighbor's report of the physical altercation.
When he was arrested, law enforcement noticed he had bruises and lacerations to his hands and
arms and he seemed unconcerned with the fact that his wife was missing.
Nor did he seem shocked he was being arrested.
Her husband is in jail right now.
Police said that a neighbor claims he heard a couple arguing on.
On Sunday night, he says he saw a physical confrontation between the two.
The husband is a 53-year-old named Brad Simpson.
He was arrested on family violence charges.
He is in jail in Kendall County.
And police say that he has been uncooperative with them.
Police are also asking anyone if they saw a dark-colored 2019 GMC Sierra that belongs to Brad.
That would be late Sunday night.
If you saw anything, if you saw that vehicle, please call police.
And then around the same time.
investigators learned that Brad Simpson had been in communication with his longtime business associate
James Carter, whom he allegedly asked to hide an AK-47. Yes, please hide my AK-47, allegedly.
According to court documents, Brad sent Carter a series of text messages on October 8th asking him to hide
the weapon, which had allegedly been removed from the Simpson family home.
Cotter complied, concealing the gun in the wall of his San Antonio home.
In text messages obtained by authorities, Brad texted Cotter the following, quote,
if you're in Bandera, can you haul ass to meet me at your house?
End quote.
And another one.
Quote, I don't have much time, end quote.
Oh, and there are more.
Quote, sorry for the urgency, but you're all I got, especially now.
Social media is destroying me, end quote.
Cotter responded, quote, I will be there in 40 minutes.
Brad responded, quote, okay, make sure and leave all that shit into the pump house, especially the gun, end quote.
Cotter texted a few hours later, get over here, I won't tell anyone, end quote, as well as, quote, you're my brother, end quote.
Cotter allegedly agreed to hide the gun at his home, concealing it within the walls of a San Antonio property.
And sure enough, when police searched Cotter's home, an ATF canine team discovered the firearm hidden in the wall.
So not only did Brad allegedly ask his buddy to hide this AK-47, he also apparently was burning electronics at his property.
When a law enforcement officer went to the Bandera property on the 8th, they found Brad standing over an active fire.
And in that fire, well, there was a laptop and three cell phones that belonged to him.
Now, during all of this, Suzanne is still nowhere to be found.
As law enforcement continued to dig deeper into the Simpson case, large-scale searches were
organized in the Almost Park area.
Police and search teams scoured wooded areas near the Simpson home looking for any signs of
Suzanne.
Authorities also expanded the search to bear county landfills based on information gathered
during the investigation.
However, Suzanne was not located, nor was any evidence related to Suzanne's whereabouts.
As the days passed with no word from Suzanne, her family issued public pleas for information.
Her sister, Teresa Clark, spoke to the media, describing Suzanne as a, quote, beloved mother,
who was deeply involved in her children's lives.
Everybody knows that one of the reasons that this is so crucial is because when a mother goes missing,
they don't go missing by accident because mothers have very set schedules of like coming home at night and making
dinner, waking up and making breakfast, you know, doing the hustle to make some money,
taking the kids to their activities. So, you know, when a mother goes missing of children,
children need their mothers the most. And that is the reason that we've been able to get
so many people involved in this situation is because Suzanne was a beloved mother. She was an
incredible person and she just had the sweetest disposition. You know, she always aimed to please.
My mom's like she's so easy to raise.
And so when you have an incredible mother that is no longer there to cook three meals a day
and get the kids to the activities and be involved in their schoolwork, their homework,
everything that has to do with them, getting their hair done or getting them dressed
or whatever the situation may be, it's just very heartbreaking not for somebody not to have
their mother is basically the bottom line.
Ultimately, Suzanne's family knew deep down that something,
that happened. And when I received the message from my niece, I knew immediately that my sister was
gone because I know that my sister would never go missing for 16 hours. Like that's just
inconceivable. And so then I just thought it was like this super simple, you know,
cut and dry thing that they got into an argument. They had all this information. They had found her
near the house. And when you're on a plane traveling around the world, you're not privy to information.
And because there was so much information, like it was just very confusing, and I'm not a specialist and these type of things, obviously.
So I just was misinformed, basically.
And then when I got home, you know, I went to see my mom.
And then when I understood the severity of the situation that we couldn't find her, then we've just trying our best every single day praying that she will be found because at the end of the day, we want to have closure, you know, for our,
families to move forward and make the most out of this situation for the sake of her children.
Suzanne's mother also spoke out about her daughter being missing and her version of events.
What they're about an hour before she was missing or the last time she was seen what was that
conversation like? The conversation was that it all started because she wanted me take care of
her five-year-old like she went to a party and
And so then she decided that she could go to the party after Brad would go to the party.
And then she could go and she could also take the Charlie Ann with her.
And then she changed her mind.
And when she went to the party, they came back from the party.
Now my speculation is maybe the whole thing is alcohol.
alcohol related because when she got back she called me up and told me the things that Brad
had done to her physically.
Well, I came up with an alternative plan for her and hoped that she'd move in with me and
have her little toddler go to the elementary school in my neighborhood.
I never got to tell her the plan.
I don't know what happened.
I think Brad at that time had done the damage.
I don't know what happened.
Brad, when I, the next day, which was Monday,
Brad called me and told me that he got up
and took Charlie and to school.
And she didn't pick up, Suzanne didn't pick up her.
So that was the first time I knew there was something.
But I just thought she was, you know, friends,
that would be normal.
So it took me a little while to come to the conclusion.
that she would have called me.
And so I, and my brain felt that she was dead at that point.
You said Suzanne called you and told you what Brian had done to her.
What did she say?
Yes.
She had told me that he had hurt her arm and hurt her back.
And she didn't know quite what she was going to do about that.
And so that was the end of that.
But I think all the rest of that conversation happened at 10 o'clock.
It was 9 o'clock that I talked.
She said that.
And at 10 o'clock, there's records of whatever happened to her and what Brad did.
Brad has always been my friend.
I've had high regards for him.
I always thought he was a good father.
I admired him, and I don't understand what the situation is with him.
Now, admittedly, it is shocking and actually quite frustrating for me to listen to Suzanne's
mother's share that she would like to remain friends with Brad. But I am going to give her the
benefit of the doubt. And there are minor children involved here, grandchildren, right? And so I'm
sure that she is tiptoeing and is used to walking around on eggshells with Brad. And who knows
what her reason is in trying to keep things peaceful. What would you say to Brad right?
now who's not cooperating with investigators.
Yes.
I'd tell Brad that I would like to visit with him and ask him why.
What happened?
I'm shocked.
I had a lot of admiration for him.
I've still planned to be his friend.
And I don't know if the alcohol that they had at the party was his problem.
Had there been any, I guess, any abuse in the past, any physical altercations between them?
There was one other one that I knew of not too long ago, and I can't really remember too
much about that, but after, this is like the next day, Brad and I were together, and I didn't
understand, you know, I didn't know this was going on, and I had a little conversation with
him, and I said something about Suzanne said, you know, you heard her arm and her, and another
part, her back, and then I mentioned there was something else.
else and he all of a sudden got a little defensive and so I said oh I think I must be mistaken
and I thought well maybe I'm I was mistaken but I think that was the start of this situation
or they started and then he I didn't know anything more at that point and so then I've heard a little bit
that they, what's the situation with him, that, you know, what the law did found him,
and evidently he's in jail at this point.
How are you doing right now?
Well, it's hard to comprehend it.
It's hard to believe it happened.
And I don't know with the three, four children.
I'm not so concerned as with the older kids, but for being five years old.
You know, I have a mommy and a daddy.
And sort of I wonder where does the money come from at this point when your mother's not alive and your father's in jail.
And that's just one little, probably issue and challenge we'll have from it.
So you don't think Suzanne's alive?
I don't think she is.
because I have not heard from her.
That's the only reason.
Nobody's told me what happened.
I've heard a little stuff that the, you know, what they're trying to do.
And I've talked with several, um, sheriff people, my story.
And it's just unlike her.
She was, she was a very positive person.
She was a darn, she was a very pleasant person in my life.
And when she was a little child, she was, she was,
just such a joy and um what do you the kids in the family need most right now well we try to
we try to be positive try to focus on god um i've been in bible study fellowship for 44 years
they've taught me how to get through it difficult situations they've taught me about the power of
God. And I have a lot of questions that I don't have not been answered. I'll never understand it
until I get to really talk to Brad. Maybe he can explain to me what happened to him. Is there anything
you say to Suzanne right now? She could hear you. Suzanne, we love you. We need you. And we pray for you.
But basically, I think the bottom line is, I just don't understand. I don't understand why it happened.
It wasn't part of their life or his behavior.
And I've known him a long time.
I mean, I've known him since they were in college together.
He came from an outstanding family.
And he was a brilliant guy in many ways.
And I never really thought of him as being,
he'd do anything like this to any of the kids or to his wife.
I don't understand it.
Meanwhile, Brad Simpson remained in custody, facing charges related to the assault and unlawful restraint, and continued to refuse to cooperate in the investigation.
However, Brad's own family, well, they spoke out for him.
This is our sincere hope and prayer that Brad will find the compassion and courage to end his family's suffering by cooperating with the authorities to help us find his wife.

Then the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives published an affidavit that charged Brad with the unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle.
On Facebook on October 16th, his brother wrote, quote,
until Brad chooses to cooperate, we will continue to cooperate for him, as we have from the very
beginning of this heartbreaking ordeal. This is not how he was raised, and this is not who we are.
In late October, James Cotter, that business associate of Brad? Well, James was arrested on charges of
tampering with evidence, as well as possession of prohibited weapons. His bond was initially set for
$1 million. However, it was eventually dropped to $100,000, and he bonded out a couple weeks after his arrest.
Meanwhile, after several weeks of searching without any breakthroughs, police had shifted the focus back to the wooded areas around Almost Park.
This decision was prompted by the neighbor's reports of screams coming from the woods on the night of Suzanne's disappearance.
And although the search continued, no new evidence did surface.
Police had not directly connected Brad Simpson to the disappearance of his wife, but he remains in jail with a $3 million bond and a federal hospital.
hold for a weapons violation.
Teresa Clark is in shock.
This is all happening in her family.
I have known Brad
since we were children.
We have family friends that are family
friends. Brad and Suzanne met at UT
and you know, they've been
together for a really long time.
And at the end of the day, like, I've always loved Brad.
I've always loved my sister.
But by far, the most
disturbing and damning family statement
came from Brad and Suzanne's
oldest daughter, who is now
20 years old. She posted on Instagram the following message, quote, my mom was a victim of abuse
for my father. My father took my mother's life in a state of rage and control. My mother tried to
leave my father and lost her life. In our community, this should not be happening and I will not
stop speaking as the voice of my mother until she is found. I will forever represent all victims of domestic
abuse and assault. And then,
On November 7th, Brad Simpson was charged with Suzanne's murder.
Yesterday, the Amos Park Police Department, along with the Texas Rangers,
have charged Brad Chandler Simpson with murder in the death of his wife, Suzanne Clark Simpson.
We realize that this doesn't bring closure to Suzanne's family,
but we hope it will allow them to enter the next phase of their grieving process with more clarity.
We'd like to thank Suzanne's family for their support and strength throughout this investigation.
They are asking for respect of their privacy, especially for the minor children.
There are also many agencies that have helped us in this investigation,
and we offer them our sincerest gratitude.
This thorough and tireless investigation has been conducted in efforts to find justice for Suzanne,
and her family.
We want to recognize the Bear County District Attorney Joe Gonzalez in his office for their
advice and support with the complexities of this investigation.
They now begin their work on the prosecution phase of this case.
We also want a special thank you to the Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers
who have worked tirelessly with us and we thank them very much along with all the
support from the citizens that we've had.
We'd like to thank the family and the public, and we want them to know that the search for Suzanne is still ongoing.
The Simpson family provided us with this message today to read.
So I'll introduce Mr. Bart Simpson.
Thank you, Chief.
It's always important to do what is right, especially when it is most difficult.
The situation is heartbreaking for us, but it brings some peace to our family.
knowing that the authorities have gathered enough evidence to move forward with charges.
This helps us come to terms with the reality that Suzanne is no longer with us,
allowing us to continue the difficult process of grieving and focus on rebuilding our lives
for the sake of the children and our extended family.
So let's go through the details laid out in the arrest warrant.
Some of the information included is what we just went to.
over, but I'm going to go through it coupled with the new information so it all makes sense.
Sunday, October 6th, Suzanne and Brad Simpson began their evening at a party at the Argyle,
a private dinner club on Patterson Avenue in Alamo Heights, when this has reported tension between
the couple during the event, including a verbal altercation. At approximately 8.30 p.m.,
Suzanne left the party with one of their children and stopped at an H.E.B. grocery store on Alamos Drive.
Surveillance footage showed her there between 840 and 8.51 p.m. Brad later claimed Suzanne lost her phone at the store, but evidence would later contradict this. Surprise. By 9.15 p.m., Suzanne and her child went back home. Suzanne then called a family friend and went to their house. And during that time, she also called her mother to report that Brad had punched her, causing injuries to her arm, back, and neck. The call lasted from 916 to 924.
p.m. And shortly after Suzanne's cell phone service was suspended reportedly, quote, at the request of the
subscriber, end quote. And as a side note, this timing directly contradicted Brad's account of the phone
being lost earlier that day. And to take that a step further, his phone data showed that he had accessed the AT&T
app at that exact time. Between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., a neighbor heard arguing outside his bedroom door.
Looking out, he witnessed a physical altercation between Suzanne and Brad.
Suzanne was trying to escape as Brad pulled her down.
The neighbor described Brad as, quote, clearly attempting to keep Ms. Simpson from running away, end quote.
The neighbor then saw Suzanne running westward away from Brad.
And shortly after, he heard two to three screams from a bushy area east of his home.
An hour later, the neighbor observed Brad start his black jeans.
DMC pickup truck and leave his house. He returned one to two hours later. Monday, October 7th.
By 1230 a.m., Brad's truck appeared on surveillance footage at the H.E.B. Suzanne had visited earlier.
Its bed carried only a large ice chest, chilling. At 6.30 a.m., Brad claimed he saw Suzanne at home
before leaving to drop off their child at school. However, this was inconsistent with the last recorded activity
from Suzanne's phone, which occurred at 7.15 a.m. Its location was traced to a business parking lot
in Alamos Park. And it was also inconsistent with Brad first telling law enforcement that he hadn't
seen her since the night before. Around 7.53 a.m., Brad Simpson dropped off his young child at school
and the bed of his truck contained at least two white trash bags and a large ice chest.
By 912 a.m., Brad's truck was spotted at a Weta Burger in Bernie. At this point, the contents of the
truck bed had increased and it now included three white trash racks, a large heavy-duty trash can,
an ice chest, and a bulky object racked carefully in a blue tarp. To conceal and secure the tarp,
a metal firewood rack had been strategically placed on top, specifically. And I'm going to
read to you now from police docks. Your affiant believes that there is an unknown object concealed
within the blue tarp due to its shape and size and it being secured by a strap or rope.
In your affiant's training and experience in past investigations,
your affiant is aware that criminals will commonly conceal, transport, and disguise their victims
in a manner described above to purposely avoid detection by law enforcement.
At 9.53 a.m., geolocation data showed Brad at a Home Depot store in Bernie and surveillance video
and a receipt documented him purchasing the chilling assortment of items. Now, listen to this.
This is what he purchased. Two bags of quick crete cement, a construction bucket with a lid,
a box of 32-count heavy-duty trash bags, a 30-ounce chlorox disinfectant spray, and insect repellent.
And if you're wondering, these items were all paid for in cash. In the parking lot of Home Depot,
he asked a man for directions to the nearest dump before intentionally placing his phone in lockdown mode.
Shortly after leaving Home Depot, Brad's truck was observed at a nearby wayside.
Around 11.15 a.m., he stopped at a gas station in Bernie, purchasing two one-gallon jugs of water,
and by this time the white trash bags were no longer in the truck bed.
However, the blue tarp, the firewood rack, and heavy-duty trash cans were still present.
Brad had also changed from sandals into cowboy boots.
And after leaving the gas station, he traveled westbound to Kendall County into Bandera County,
his phone switching on and off intermittently.
Specifically, and I'm going to again read to you from charging docs,
the defendant intentionally engaged in a series of on and off cycles to include
complete shutdown of his cellular device, preventing data collection beginning,
from 106, 2024 at approximately 11.09 p.m. through October 7th, 2024.
FBI forensic examiners advised Urefiant that the defendant shut down his phone in a manner
rarely seen, referred to as lockdown mode. FBI forensic examiners define lockdown mode
as a shutdown of a cell phone done by a person who wants to avoid detection.
Around 3 p.m. Brad was contacted by his child's school. Surveillance footage later showed Brad
retrieving the child at 3.27 p.m. The bed of his truck no longer contained the firewood rack,
but still had a trash can and ice chest. The affidavit goes on to describe an interview done by a Texas Ranger
on October 23rd when he interviewed a Frost Bank employee, someone who was Suzanne's personal banker.
this person said that Suzanne Simpson, quote, made an outcry of being physically abused by Brad
and that Brad would commonly take her cell phone away, end quote.
The banker also said, quote, Suzanne Simpson told her that Brad would tell their children
that she had lost her phone after Brad took it away from her.
She also said, Suzanne said if she went missing, to look for her in a lake.
In the affidavit, it said that the conversation between Suzanne,
and her personal banker took place in August of 2024.
The affidavit continues, and I want to read these verbatim.
Number 34.
Your affiant reviewed cell phone data from the defendant's cell phone, which captured a text
message communication from a female identified as redacted.
Your affiant observed a text message that the defendant sent on 917, 2023, to redacted.
Your affiant observe the following information.
Quote,
I still feel bad about tonight.
I never should have grabbed her phone and drove off
that she was so protective of it.
My dumb ass didn't know her passcode,
so I got locked out and I had to bring it back.
I really have no interest in looking through her phone
or anybody else's.
These devices are the devil, end quote.
Your Afiant requested that the Texas Rangers
interview redacted at her residence
in Redacted. Your affiant spoke with Redacted, who conducted the interview on Redacted.
On 1030, 2024 at approximately 6.40 p.m. and learned the following information.
Your Refiant learned that Redacted told Texas Rangers that Suzanne Simpson was aware that the defendant
would track her and that the defendant was extremely jealous. On 1023, 2024, Alamos Park Police and Texas Rangers
conducted a subsequent search warrant.
At the Simpson residence at Redacted.
Your affiant learned from Texas Ranger,
redacted that he had located one bag of Quick Creek cement
and the box of heavy-duty black trash bags,
a gray heavy-duty trash can, and the metal firewood rack.
Your affiant was advised by Texas Rangers
that the box of trash bags contained only 28 bags
out of 32 total trash bags.
The defendant has been incarcerated since October 9th, 2024.
There are no signs of Suzanne Simpson being alive since the defendant physically assaulted her on 10-6-2024.
This has been verified by Suzanne Simpson's cell phone records, financial records, family, friends, and coworkers.
Your client is aware that no credible tips or information were obtained from the active Texas clear alert.
And law enforcement has been unable to locate Suzanne.
Samson after a large amount of search efforts. All family, friends, and co-workers agree the victim
would never willingly abandon her children. October 6th, Suzanne's mom said that Suzanne called her at 915
p.m. and said that Brad had assaulted her and that she was in pain. Same day, October 6th, the family
friend says Suzanne visited her at 9.25 p.m. 10 minutes later and said that Brad had assaulted her.
Same day, October 6th, and neighbor witnesses the altercation between Brad and Suzanne.
The next day, October 7th, the five-year-old daughter of Suzanne and Brad,
tells a school counselor that she saw her dad, quote, push and quote, physically hit her mom the day before
and that dad turned off mom's phone because they were fighting.
Suzanne's personal banker told police that back in August,
Suzanne confessed that Brad was beating her and would,
regularly take her phone away from her. Suzanne told the banker, and I quote,
if I go missing, look for me in a lake. It's just devastating to hear that many witnesses
saying so many similar things, Sig, and maybe one of the most powerful witnesses
might also be their daughter, Chandler. I think she's 20 or 21, and she put out on social media.
My dad killed my mom, and he's been abusive. I mean, this is very powerful stuff.
It's even shocking that his brother has turned against him in this story.
You wouldn't have expected that.
But the other question is, where did this start this violence between him and his wife?
It probably did not start the day before she went missing, right?
What we know about domestic violence is that there usually is a history here.
I don't know.
People haven't talked with us.
I would beg people to come and talk to me about this because, you know, you know,
it is one of the most important elements of the story.
So clearly, these are some very troubling facts and a mountain of circumstantial evidence.
After this all came out on December 3rd, Brad was officially indicted by a grand jury.
He is now being charged with multiple things, including murder, which is a first-degree felony,
tampering with evidence with the intent to impair a human corpse, tampering, fabricating
physical evidence with the intent to impair, possession of a prohibited weapon,
an aggravated assault with a weapon causing serious bodily injury.
According to documents, Brad allegedly concealed a 39-millimeter caliber-select fire rifle,
as well as a reciprocating saw during the investigation.
It's some breaking news. We've been following for the last half hour or so numerous sources confirming to KSAT that investigators in the Suzanne Simpson murder case have told the Simpson family that DNA belonging to Suzanne was found on a saw.
That saw belonging to her husband, Brad Simpson, who was in jail, now charged with Suzanne's murder.
Investigators are still searching for Suzanne nearly two months after she was last seen in early October.
Meanwhile, Brad Simpson is scheduled to appear in court Monday on charges of murder in Suzanne's death.
I had a source tell me that Almost Park Police called the family today and told them that they are still searching for Suzanne's body,
but that her DNA, in fact, was found on that saw, a reciprocating saw, that it's alleged Brad Simpson tried to hide from investigators.
After the indictment dropped, Brad's attorney immediately motioned to quash the indictment.
He claimed that the information used to indict Brad is, quote, vague, indefinite, ambiguous,
and that it doesn't properly inform Brad of the nature of proof against him so he can formulate a proper defense, end quote.
Because the indictment was vague in Brad's attorney's eyes and he isn't sure,
how the state plans to prove their case.
He claims he has been denied his ability to prepare a defense for Brad.
On Thursday, December 5th, it was announced that Brad's case had been transferred to another district,
meaning the motion to quash could potentially be heard sooner.
Now, what's next for Brad and his lawyers as they get ready for his first court appearance next week?
