All-star closer, Kenley Jansen, we have a question.
What's the best podcast of all time?
Baseball isn't boring, baby.
I'm Rob Bradford, and every single day I'm sitting down with the biggest names
to show you this great game is the greatest game.
It's my podcast. It's my passion.
It's a cause I started more than two years ago.
It is now the most prolific national daily baseball pod there is.
Another fact.
So jump aboard the B.I.B. Express.
Follow and listen to Baseball Isn't Boring,

No balls, two strikes.
Class A's pitch.
Swing and a miss.
He struck him out.
And that will end it.
Phillies lose to the Guardians here in the opening game of this three-game set
as the Phillies have now lost four consecutive series openers.
And the offensive struggles of the week continue here.
3-1 the final.
Just brutal. Just absolutely
freaking brutal. Welcome on in. It is the final out sponsored by Regency Furniture. Affordable
never looks so good. Jack Fritz back with you on this Friday night. You know the last time that I
did a final out was after they swept the Dodgers. It's been like forever. I mean, everything has pretty much went to crap ever since.
I mean,
since that point, they lost 2-3
to the A's, whatever. They lost 2-3
last year before the break to the
Marlins after the Pache home run on
that Friday night or whatever.
Got bludgeoned, what, 18-3
in the final game of that series.
To go to the All-Star game,
vibes are still high. Everything's great. You know, the All-Star game. Vibes are still high. Everything's great.
They all start the All-Star game together.
Coming out of the All-Star break,
frankly, I thought they looked flat.
I thought they looked flat out of the All-Star break.
Friday night, the first game, they blew
with Jose Alvarado on the mound.
Saturday night, they did not show up.
They salvaged the game on Sunday.
They go to Minnesota.
Okay, you get the stinker out of the way.
You come out of the break a little slow.
No big deal.
You blow the first game of the series
against the Twins. More of a coin flip.
Whatever. They should have gone 4-2
on that road trip, but whatever.
And then the third game of the series,
they're up 4-1, and they blow that lead.
And then tonight happens.
And the game wrap-up is sponsored by Blaser Swiss Lumen Kravitz,
the metal-working fluid specialist providing professional CNC machine cleaning,
coolant maintenance programs, and waste coolant disposal, kravitz.online.
If you're leaving the ballpark, we'd love to hear from you because guess what?
This is going to be a big old vent session because, listen, I understand.
I understand they have the best record in baseball
i i get it i get it i get it i get it but it just feels so coping with what we've seen from this
team for an extended stretch of time to play 500 baseball.
And tonight was, for the most part, embarrassing.
For a quote-unquote the best team in baseball to have the Oakland series,
to have the Pirates series, to have the Twins series,
for how they talked after Wednesday and how they seemed annoyed to show up and how they played tonight so unmotivated, uninterested, not looking like they wanted to be there,
not locked in enough.
Like, that's embarrassing.
And what makes me so much more annoyed than anything
is that I thought this team was above this, was above this.
You're going to go through tough stretches in the season. We know that's going to happen. We know
that's baseball, but it's how they're doing it. It's how they're losing games. It's how they're
not showing up. It's how they're stuck between like cruise control control and also trying to do too much.
This team needs a laugher more than any team.
Last year's team, of course.
This team, for the first time this year, needs a laugher.
They need a laugher.
They need an exhale moment.
They need an everything's going to be okay.
But man, I could not be more disappointed in how they showed up tonight.
You know the Guardians are a good baseball team.
Listen, they're also 4-6 heading into tonight in their last 10 games,
but they have the best record in the AL.
You can't play sloppy.
You can't play sloppy. And they have not played sloppy for a majority of this season.
But my goodness, my goodness my goodness
the last four series i'll count tonight i don't care have just been sloppy sloppy bad baseball
215-592-9494 to get in my biggest takeaways of the game brought to you by morgan and morgan
america's largest law firm.
America's largest injury law firm.
I feel like we all have an injury after watching what we watched tonight.
And my first big takeaway is can someone,
can someone on this team step up and, like, grab this thing by the horns,
shake it out of them and wake up.
Obviously, it's the bottom of the lineup.
We know it's the middle of the lineup.
But I'm looking at the top three.
I'm looking at the top three guys.
And it's Schwarber, who has been brutal since the All-Star break.
Tonight should have been a classic.
Lead off the game with a Schwarbaum.
It's a tension easer but he's been brutal since since the all-star break he's got one hit one hit i mean oh he got two he had a hit tonight uh he did get a hit
tonight it was good to see regardless like the patented lead off the game with a Schwarm bomb is something that I am waiting and need oxygen.
Turner, who has been great. He has been great. But I wonder if he's starting to get a little
too home run happy. And I'm not going to kill Trey. He popped up in a big spot tonight. It
happens. We get it. But Bryce, I want to talk about Bryce because you know I was pretty fired
up when he made the comments on Wednesday it was like bang there it is like like there's the Bryce
quotes after the game of of okay we're pissed we're not happy we're excited to get home and
Dave's gonna get the job done if he wants to get the job done. But tonight happens, and the at-bats don't look totally locked in.
And in the field,
like this wasn't all Bryce,
but this was the first four innings in the field tonight.
Screwed up rundown,
which ended up costing them a run.
Foot off first base.
Now, the call got overturned. Kind of shocked it got overturned, but regardless, foot Foot off first base. Now, the call got overturned.
Kind of shocked it got overturned, but regardless.
Foot was off first base.
Can't pick the ball at first base.
Going for a ball when Stott was there.
Sanchez, bad throw to second base.
Rojas, lazy throw in from the outfield.
That, I mean, like, it was just a little mental error.
It didn't cost them no in advance, but still,
it was, like, inches away from being a problem.
Sanchez not going to first base on a bunt of time to the plate.
That was on the first four innings.
What is that crap?
A Major League Baseball team can't execute a rundown in 2024?
Again, when I talk about not being locked in and not being ready to go
and not being pissed off as to what has happened
and just letting this thing kind of...
It's teetering right now.
I mean, it's teetering.
They're going to make the playoffs.
It's not an issue.
They're probably going to win the division.
The Mets are kind of hot.
I'm sure they're going to cool off at some point.
But, like, this kind of stuff, it leads to panic.
It leads to panic in the streets.
And to come out tonight and play like that in the first four innings
in a game where you're trying to calm the fears of a city that, again,
like just went through the Eagles thing.
And I do not want to deal with the 10-1 Eagles talk in relation to this baseball team.
But if you want to do it, knock yourself out.
I can't do it because it just drives me nuts.
They haven't shown to be fraudulent most of this year.
But I just don't know how you come out
and it's just mental mistake after mental mistake after mental mistake
and not being locked in and not playing good baseball.
That is just brutal.
It's just brutal.
And I thought this team was above it.
And my second biggest takeaway is this offense is just, again, brutal.
Stodd hit the home run tonight. He's had some
opportunities, but Ben Lively shut them down. He shut them down. Ben Lively. I need them to snap
out of it. For my own sanity, I need them to snap out of it because they're a damn good baseball
team. This has been so far to this point, a special season, a World Series is
in their fingertips. And I know in July, it doesn't ultimately matter if they play in July.
But again, like it's right there. And what is how it feels right now is that it just feels like the
NLCS all over again. It really does. The last couple games of that NLCS, like that's what this
is really felt like. And that's what's
I think scaring a lot of people
and worrying a lot of people. And
I'm not Mr. Negadelphia. I'm not Mr.
Jump all over everything. But when
it's been going on for as long
of a stretch as this
has been going on for, at some
point, it's just enough.
It's enough. And
really what irks me tonight
is how they showed up
and how they came out to play.
They didn't look like a team that was ready
to come out to play. They didn't look like a team
that was annoyed
and was pissed
that they've lost three straight
series and they should have gone 4-2
and they end up being 2-4.
They're better than this.
They're so much better than this.
And I think that's why I'm annoyed tonight.
2-1-5, 5-9-2, 94-94 is how you get in to react to a brutal night down at CBP.
Lauren is in Chester Springs.
What's happening, Lauren?
Hey, how are you?
Good.
Well, relatively.
I think you're capturing the frustration pretty well.
I was just calling to say it was so quiet.
Yeah, it seemed dead on the broadcast.
Like, when they tried to get into it, it wasn't like it had been early in the season.
They were playing the make noise stuff, the make noise banners on two strikes,
and no one was making a sound
because we were like,
these guys aren't here to play.
Why are we supposed to get into this?
It was just garbage.
Yeah, it was incredibly frustrating.
And I think that,
I really do think the ballpark
kind of fed off the energy
the first four innings
where it's just like,
it's little mental mistakes
after mental mistakes.
It's like, what are these guys doing?
There's so much better than this, Lauren.
I agree.
Well, I appreciate the phone call and safe travels on your way home.
They're just better than this.
And I hope that one of these days they can kind of break out of this thing
and they can have that kind of team exhale moment like we're okay.
But, man, they look tight like first off they look tight i think
that's where a lot of mental errors come from um but and and when you're struggling offensively
you know everyone doesn't look like they're interested you know but that's that's just what
kind of happens when the offense is struggling it It's really, the more and more you look at it,
it's like when those top three aren't being, you know,
how they usually are, it just feels so short.
Like, Bowen's been really, really good.
Castellanos had a good little stretch here.
But it's like those three are so, so like the catalysts of the offense. And, man, it's just excruciating. But right now,
it's a little bit of an event session here
on the final out. On the other side,
we will get to your phone calls, plus a player of the game
and some thoughts on the Austin Hayes
trade from earlier. It's Jack Fritz, hanging out with you
on the final out on Sports Radio 94

The windup in the 1-1.
Swing and a bouncing ball right side.
Jimenez spears it and spins around, throws to first,
and Marsh is retired again.
A 1-2-3 inning for Ben Lively.
Six strong innings for the former Philly tonight
back here at Citizens Bank Park.
We'll go to the 7th. It's 3-1
Cleveland. Ben Lively?
Ben Lively?
We're getting shut down by tonight.
Six innings, one run for Ben Lively
tonight. The player of the game, sponsored by

reliable, affordable natural gas. Make the
switch at southjerseygas.com
slash lovemyhome. It is the
final out, sponsored by Regency Furniture.
Affordable never looks so good. Jack Fritz hanging out
with you on this Friday
night. Again, the first final out I've done since
they beat the Dodgers. When I left the final, I'm just
letting everyone. When I left the final out,
everything was fine. Now
I guess I gotta pick this thing back up
and make sure everything is fine once again.
We'll go on one vacation.
They have some late games, and everything falls apart.
Unbelievable.
But I think on top, like if they got shut down by an ace offensively,
it's like, all right, I get it.
You know, aces are going to ace sometimes.
Ben Lively, it's like 92.
It's some crap curveball.
He's a pitcher, but he's like an innings-eating five.
That's what makes it brutal.
That's what makes it brutal.
Speaking of pitching, and we'll get to some thoughts on the Austin Hayes trade here in one second. But the pitch count tonight is sponsored by the Plumbers Union Local 690,
protecting the health of the nation.
Visit Plumbers690.org.
Chris Sanchez, 88 pitches tonight.
They've been on a little bit of a pitch count with these guys
out of the All-Star Break Ranger.
Was not supposed to pitch more than 85 pitches.
Chris Sanchez tonight, 88.
Seems like they're kind of monitoring these guys' workloads.
Obviously, these guys are pitching more than they have in their entire careers and we want them for october not for
july so you know he probably could have gone another inning he went to jose ruiz and uh you
know whatever but chris angela thought was good tonight i thought he made some again a little bit
of mental errors but also like if the if the rundown is executed properly in the first inning
there shouldn't have been a run there like they gave away some some outs on the field and it kind of jacked up
his pitch count i thought chris sanchez was really good tonight you know i thought his fastball
command was really good changeup was really good so he's continued to to be their second best
pitcher this year behind zach wheeler so yeah chris sanchez just continuing to do his thing
which is important because we need the starters to do their thing, given
the current state of the bullpen, and definitely
with the current state of the lineup.
Let's take a phone call and get to some Austin Hayes thoughts.
Justin's in Cherry Hill. What's happening, Jay?
Hey, how's it going?
It's alright. What's happening, man?
First of all, I think it's a little bit funny that
Ben Lively shut us down, but that's
not really what I wanted to talk about. I'm just a little bit tired of hearing how good of a gm dombrowski is
um i mean credit to him he got us to two uh deep playoff runs but i don't think he had as much to
do with that as people believe like clintac gave him harper ramito hoskins nolo wheeler ranger sanchez and i think milliton
has a lot to do with the other signings so i mean i'm just a little but hold on a lot of that talent
was here before dobrowski got here and they did squat you're right you're right i'm not giving all
the all the credit to clintac we're not gonna are we gonna turn clintac into ed wade where ed wade
was like this secret genius?
I think a little bit, a little bit, to an extent.
Not as good as Ed Wade.
Yeah, I mean, the problem with Ed Wade,
so people give Ed Wade credit for Jay Sutley and Howard and those guys.
Listen, Mike Arbuckle drafted all those guys.
Ed Wade was very, very mediocre here,
and Klintac was as well.
Yeah, this isn't even praising Klintac.
I'm just saying, Dombrowski got the stealth a great
hand and i mean credit to the culture that that that's happened rob thompson i mean he's built a
great culture but the last three deadlines from dumbrowski i think they've been just awful but
22 wasn't beyond bad but 2021 we got freddie galvis ian kennedy kyle gibson and we are right there with the braves the
braves get four good outfielders and they win the world series 22 we could have got carlos redon
we get washed up noah cindergard uh last year we get ridolfo castro they get marsh they get
marsh in 2022 you're right you're right you're. But I just think last year we got Rodolfo Castro, Michael Lorenz
in. I mean, we could have got
Tommy Sam for like nothing. And
he had a big home run.
And he got a big home run. So
I mean, I just think we could have done more.
He's saying he's content with Austin Hayes.
I just
think he's got to do more. Yeah.
Listen, Justin, I appreciate the phone call.
I think Dave's done a really, really good job.
And it is funny how similar it is to when Pat Gillick took over for Ed Wade.
And again, Ed Wade, a lot of those guys were drafted under him.
And they had a good amount of talent.
But Pat Gillick came in, made some tweaks, and had the team win a World Series
and set them up for one of the best runs in team history.
Dombrowski, same kind of thing.
He made the fringe moves.
He did the moves around the edges.
Listen, I think Kyle Schwarber is severely underrated when we're talking about moves that Dave Dombrowski has made.
Castellanos, I would say not living up to the contract.
But when you go to the World Series and you have the run they had last year, it's I would say not living up to the contract but when you go to the World Series and and you
have the run they had last year it's it's fine enough Matt Strom's been really good Jeff Hoffman's
been really good uh like he's had some good moves in in in the bullpen obviously the Taiwan move
not super great but like he's added really like people can mock Stubbs all you want,
but, like, having Stubbs as a part of the clubhouse culture matters.
And Mundo Sosa.
Like, these kind of things matter.
Like, the depth of this team.
And, yes, they're going through a brutal stretch right now.
But Dave Dombrowski's been really, really good.
The thing is, is where I do agree with Justin,
is that, like, I want this to be an aggressive deadline.
Like, at some point, you've got to pull the trigger on something.
And when you have the season that you're having right now,
I just don't know.
Austin Hayes and not getting another outfield bat,
whether you want to talk about Luis Robert, whatever,
and going down the stretch front with Johan Rojas in center field every day or a majority of the time.
You can move Marsh over there, but whatever.
But, like, where are we at with Brandon Marsh?
I mean, has Brandon Marsh done enough to where it's like, all right,
well, I trust you all the time in center field.
Like, I like Brandon Marsh.
I think Brandon Marsh is a really important piece of this team.
But he's also going through a really, really cold stretch right now as well.
Like, I would be disappointed if Austin Hayes is the move in the outfield.
Like, I'll keep pounding the table for Luis Robert until I'm blue in the face.
Like, I want that guy in the middle of this lineup.
I hear people about the injuries.
I hear people about some of the batting average stuff.
Whatever. hear people about the injuries. I hear people about some of the batting average stuff, whatever. Like I'll take a shot on a guy being put in the middle of this lineup with all the
talent around them with the gold glove caliber center field with being under team control for
the next three years and, and banking on getting the best version of Luis Robert, which again,
he's a year removed from 38 home runs and a good amount of stolen bases
and playing at a MVP-ish caliber kind of season.
I'll take a shot on this.
I'll continue to pound the table for a guy like that.
I don't think Austin Hayes is enough.
I want more.
The Austin Hayes move, I'm fine with.
Lane Thomas, I think, would have cost more prospect-wise
because they probably wanted to package Lane Thomas and Brandon Finnegan together.
To get Austin Hayes essentially versus Anthony when you are going to go out
and get more late-inning bullpen options anyway, I don't really hate.
Trading a reliever for a bat with some upside,
I'll do that almost every single day of the week.
And the upside is, I think, pretty real.
Again, he did start the All-Star game last year.
I'm a little scarred because Whit Merrifield also was an All-Star last year.
But as I'm sure you've heard all throughout the day,
330 against lefties.
He is hitting 333 since May 1st.
Dave Nebraska talked earlier today about how he's eager to get a chance
to prove that he's an everyday guy again.
He got kind of pushed out of the rotation down there in baltimore obviously we know about all the talent
they have like colton kouser came up and and you know cedric mullins is still down there hasn't
cursed that like they have a good amount of outfielders he got kind of squeezed out now he
gets a chance to come here fresh start in the middle of a hopeful world series run hopefully
a world series run and maybe get a better version of Austin Hayes.
And I do think it's interesting that away he's hitting 280 with an 854 OPS.
I mean, Baltimore all of a sudden turned into like a bit of a pitcher's park
in left field for some of these righties.
They moved the ball with the wall back a little bit.
So it's not the same as it used to be.
But still, like, I just, in my gut,
I don't trust going down the stretch run with a rojas and then
a hayes marsh left field like and then you know you're playing marsh maybe more in center field
like i think i think if they don't make another move i think in a perfect world they're like okay
austin hayes comes here they unleash something else, they unlock something else, and he's playing left field
with Brandon Marsh in center field for a majority of the time.
It feels like a big risk.
It just feels like a big risk.
So, you know, David Obrowski talked about how he'd feel comfortable
about his outfield.
It doesn't pass my smell test.
I think they need one more bat out there, like one more bat,
and we know they're going to go get bullpen guys.
So that's going to be pretty much the deadline.
And we'll see how big they go.
But again, how I felt for a little bit here is at some point you've got to pull the trigger
and trade some of these pieces away to give your team a legit chance.
Austin Hayes, a good start. And do they
have a chance to win the World Series right now as currently constructed? Sure. But like, it's one
of those years that feels more leave no doubt type than roll the ball out and see what happens.
They've had a really good year from starting pitching. The bullpen, a majority of the year
has been really good. You've had some good years offensive offensively it's just i i don't want to look back on the season
and be like man we didn't give up that guy to get that guy and it came back to bite us ultimately
i understand i think you understand that it's going to come down to what these guys do that
are in the lineup every day like the harpers the schwarbers the turners but like just getting one more guy one more consistent bat and and two bullpen pieces would just be huge
and there's a time to pull the trigger i think it's this year 215-592-9494 to get in on the
other side we will get back to your phone calls plus the the play of the game, and some thoughts on a couple
of fills that actually did have good nights. Not all
negative tonight here on the Final Out,
plus a look ahead tomorrow before handing things
off to Broads here on Sports Radio
94 WIP.
Here's a blast. Way
back to right, and they're on
the board now. Bryson Stott
off the facing of the second deck.
Boy, did he jump on that.
Home run number seven for Stott.
Straight away right field.
It's 3-1.
Well, that's my play of the game.
Sponsored by Mike's Amazing, the official mayo and mustard of the Phillies.
Bryson Stott, good to see him with a three-hit night.
That's important.
It's not all doom and gloom.
They are, record-wise, still the best team in baseball.
A lot of good teams around the game are struggling.
I don't think that's an excuse for the Phillies, but whatever.
They need Bryson Scott to get going here a little bit,
and he hit a couple balls really hard tonight.
Hit the home run there, hit the single up the middle,
and hit a ball down the line off Glasse,
which is equally as impressive, or even
more impressive. So, good night from Bryson
Stott, and something that they have to get
going. But regardless, it was
hopefully a step in the right direction.
Welcome on back. It is the final out, sponsored
by Regency Furniture. Affordable, never looks
so good. Jack Fritz hanging out with you
on this Friday night, reacting to a
brutal, brutal night down at CBP
in what has been a tough stretch for the ball club.
So I thought it started a good night.
And then Jose Avarado, listen, if it's going to take Gregory Soto
getting two high leverage innings to motivate him
and get him back going in the right direction, I'll take it.
Whatever.
You lose those games in July, fine.
Because I thought Jose Avarado looked really good tonight.
He was accurate.
He was attacking the zone. He
had some nice bite to that
cutter that he hasn't really had in a while.
So he was throwing, he was pounding
strikes and throwing strikes and looked more
like the Jose Averado we've seen a majority
of this season outside of
when really JT was out and his ERA
kind of ballooned. So I thought that was good.
Kirkering, not perfect, but still
looked like he was back to trusting that fastball a little bit. They said that he was tipping pitches as a
reason as to why he was going through a little bit of a tough stretch. I just don't really buy it.
I think his fastball command just really fell off, and that has nothing to really do with tipping
pitches. But if you're convinced that Ryan Kirkering, that it's tipping pitches and not to
not trust his fastball, go do it.
So it was good to see those two guys because they're really, really important.
And they're going to get bullpen pieces.
We know it.
But like when you're talking about the lefties and you talk about Strom, I think we still trust Strom.
He's had scuffling a little bit, but he's going to allow runs at some point.
We know that.
Jose Averado is really important to get back.
I would love, love a Tanner Scott trade
and giving them just like three
nasty lefties. I'll never trust Gregory
Soto. I think he's been pitching good since
May 1st, but
I think he's more of a low leverage guy than
a guy you can trust with big outs
late in games. If you can get
Tanner Scott, I'd be pretty, pretty pumped,
frankly.
A lot of those guys like Hoffman,
and they trade Sir Anthony,
so you lose a bit of a righty option there.
If it's not Hoffman, it's pretty much Kirkering.
So they need a trade for a righty reliever ASAP.
I do not believe that the guy they called up for Sir Anthony,
Michael Rucker, is the answer.
Let's go back to the phones here and talk to Dave in Maryland.
Dave, I need you, buddy.
It's been a tough stretch here.
I've been just annoyed watching the game tonight.
You know, you sit there and the first four innings, it was like,
what am I watching?
It felt like that series with the Cubs a couple years ago
when they came back from the All-Star break
and just looked like they weren't interested.
They lost the first game out of the All-Star break like 20-2, I think, or something like that.
It was ridiculous.
Yeah, ridiculous.
But just like can't do rundowns.
Guys just stealing bases with the left-handed pitcher looking at them.
Nuts just how lackadaisical they were uh this evening i i just
look at i'm i'm worried about the austin hayes trade being the only move the way they were
talking about him possibly being an everyday outfielder uh and you know putting marsh and
rojas in center field and brandon marsh hasn't played well in about a month and a half.
I mean, and it's just, if you can,
they've never gone all in with Bryce's team.
They always said that if they felt like the team could win the division
and, you know, be a threat,
because they really haven't known the last couple years that they
were going to be in the playoffs now they do so hopefully that that aggressive mentality comes
over the next three days and gets us another bat and uh get this uh one or two relievers uh in the
bullpen but uh and that's what i that's what i can't figure out dave it's like it's there's a
time to to kind of and i love prospects i'm very pro prospect but like. There's a time to kind of... I love prospects.
I'm very pro-prospect, but there's
a time to push your chips in and be
like...
Imagine the lift. I don't
think Austin Hayes is giving a huge lift to the
ball club when he walks through the clubhouse.
Imagine the lift
of going and getting a Robert
or going and getting
some kind of name
over the next couple of days, that kind of stuff just matters to me.
Yeah, watching baseball over the last two weeks, right,
every team, the Dodgers, the Yankees, the Guardians, the Orioles,
every team, the Phillies, every team that's good has struggled,
which tells me there's no real like dominant,
dominant team.
And to make a trade to go over the top,
we'll could create that.
And also you don't want the Dodgers to get Luis Robert and,
and put him in the middle of that order.
And,
and those,
those types of things.
The other,
the other part that really annoyed me about tonight was with the,
just like the energy in the park like when when weston
wilson came up to pinch hit instead of austin hayes you know like i know i know you're trying
to you know get them in tomorrow whatever but i thought that that could have given you a little
lift tonight to a little energy boost where you know but again i i just i'm i'm worried about
them because as currently constructed,
they're going to make the playoffs.
I just don't know if they're going to win, as currently constructed,
even with a couple bullpen arms.
Yeah, it's a big fear day because the season's been amazing,
and I appreciate the phone call there.
And to go back to Brandon Marsh, and I really like Brandon Marsh.
I think he's a good player.
Obviously, can't hit lefties that's been established but even like all right his including tonight his last nine games
he hasn't gotten a hit he hasn't got a hit since July 11th I know the all-Star break's in there. I know the All-Star break's in there. But it is July 26th.
The Marsh-Hayes thing, I hope that works.
I just want to go get a stud in center field.
I just want to go get a stud.
But I guess we all can't get what we ask for at all times.
But regardless, a fresh-reading one tonight.
Tomorrow, Tyler Phillips,
the stopper.
He's had to save the season a couple of times so far.
And the local kid,
obviously, a really fun
interview he had with the
afternoon show earlier this
week.
So Tyler Phillips on the
mountain tomorrow versus
former Phillies great,
former Phillies farmhand
Carlos Carrasco, who is
somehow, somehow still in
the league.
He got traded in 2009.
So he's got a 5.48 ERA in his last nine starts.
He's not been a great, great comeback to Cleveland for Carlos Carrasco.
But he's always had strikeouts.
He always has a little bit of stuff.
So given the current state of this offense,
I can't be too confident heading into really just about any game.
The best the offensive has looked in the last
this week, starting Monday, not Sunday, is against Duran, who's one of the best
relievers in baseball, in the ninth against the Twins, which is just about as baseball as it gets.
But man, just please show up and turn it around tomorrow. I'm at the point of begging. I don't
care anymore. Get this thing going. Get this thing moving in the right direction.
Dave Dabrowski, it's showtime.
Either way, that's going to do it for me.
Thanks to everyone that called in
and hung out.
Hunter Brody, he's got you next here on Sports Radio
94 WIP.
