All-star closer, Kenley Jansen, we have a question.
What's the best podcast of all time?
Baseball isn't boring, baby.
I'm Rob Bradford, and every single day I'm sitting down with the biggest names to show you
this great game is the greatest game.
It's my podcast. It's my passion.
It's a cause I started more than two years ago
and is now the most prolific national
daily baseball pod there is. Another
fact, so jump aboard the
BIB Express. Follow and listen to
Baseball Isn't Boring, presented by Wasabi

or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is the High Hopes Podcast.
High Hopes.
It's a bunch of baseball nerds talking about the Phillies
on radio.com and Sports Radio 94 WIP. Yo!
It is another edition of the High Hopes Podcast.
Baseball is back and I don't think I have a voice anymore. I gave everything I had to that yo.
It has been like a disaster of a day for me.
If it weren't for baseball being back, Jack Fritz, I would be more broken than you were,
I don't know, when we last recorded like 12 hours ago or whatever it was, 20 hours ago,
whatever it was.
Like, of course, by the way, you're welcome, everyone.
You are welcome.
There is a 100% correlation between the podcast we recorded last night and baseball coming back today.
So we did it.
You know, I guess I should get excited about that because we did it for everyone.
We are the saviors of baseball.
How you doing, buddy?
Are you broken anymore?
You're not broken anymore.
You're fixed.
You know, what's funny is I went from completely dead inside to back in like legitimately a millisecond
um i i can't believe it's back i'm i'm just i'm so happy i'm just i haven't stopped smiling since
since uh since it came down obviously i was on the air there's a lot of stuff going on so i was
able to react like in the moment which is obviously very, very exciting.
And if you think the Sixers getting torched by 30 on national TV,
it was the perfect precursor to this Philly season.
Because, listen, I've seen that loss a thousand times.
I mean, I'm very sorry that you had to deal with that one time tonight
because I dealt with that for the last you know dozen years of my life so um it really is a great day and i would just like for everyone
to take a little bit of time out of their day and and thank james and i um you know we
whenever we're whenever we're truly out and whenever we're truly broken, the baseball gods sure seem to come together and say, all right, we've beaten them down for long enough.
We've put them through a lot.
We are on the verge of breaking their spirits slash breaking their spirits like last night.
Maybe we should give them one.
And they gave us one today.
There was like a 20-minute period where I wanted Max Scherzer to have to void his whole contract
and be forced to retire because I was so angry at him.
It was a magical day.
There was a lot of twists and turns.
It wasn't easy.
But you know what, James?
Like Andy Dufresne in Shawshank Redemption.
I think that's a perfect metaphor.
We really did.
That is literally, there is no,
I will never look at this whole thing as any other way.
Yep.
Perfect. Perfect.
Perfect.
Just a bunch of frigging a word we don't say on this podcast.
And we came out on the other side and we still smell like it and we're still covered in it.
But you know what?
There's going to be baseball.
162 games, no less.
You know what makes me even more excited, James? It's like, you know, I've been trying to fill this void with maybe dabbling and some gambling.
We know, buddy.
And listen, if Joel Embiid could have scored seven more points tonight, I would have been happy.
But nevertheless, I've been doing like NFLfl draft stuff like i have just been so
so out of character yeah it's been honestly it's been tough to watch like it's been
i don't know like it's been weird it's made me question everything that i yeah you see me around
the office do i do i seem like the same? I don't come bursting into your little studio.
No, no.
You're like, it's a dark Jack Fritz.
It's coming in and talking about how you lost a bunch of money on a golfer
blowing like five strokes and five holes.
You didn't have to bring up Daniel.
That's the kind of conversations we're having.
It's not like, hey, have you watched, you know,
minor leaguer X who will probably never be any good highlights
because he's the next, you know, Hall of Famer X conversations.
I miss those, Jack.
I need those.
I know.
I know.
But have no fear because starting tomorrow.
Because baseball is here. Dude, we're back. Like dude we're back like we're just we're
so bad i can't believe it i i honestly can't like i know we're powerful i know you know like we did
the bryce harper's never coming here pod and like seconds after we finished it happened like i get
it like we definitely got some sort of cosmic thing going on but i honestly did
not think that it was this powerful i mean this is this is some next level stuff i mean we we we
ended a lockout jack it's one thing to bring a free agent to a town and even the biggest one
like in the history of the town like yeah super big deal the
uh by the way nlmvp now we can actually celebrate and talk about it because baseball is back like
that's an awesome big deal like you know credit to us it's awesome but but to end the lockout
to i don't know possibly save a sport jack i mean i even i didn't know that we could do that i didn't know i'll never doubt us
again i'll tell you that and you know what's next james and this is gonna put a lot of pressure on
us but if i could you know if i if there was ever two guys and two podcasters that I could think handle this pressure.
I would say it is you and I.
But it is now our sole responsibility to get the Phillies back in the playoffs.
Oh, buddy.
Honestly, ending a lockout might be easier.
Well, I will say it got a little easier.
It got a little easier with the extra playoff teams
and the extra $50 million I can spend.
So it got a little easier.
It got a little easier.
I'm feeling good about it.
I said before the lockout,
the Phillies are locked to make the playoffs this year.
I'm feeling even more confident about it now.
Your odds did just increase mathematically, so that's good.
Yeah, listen, hey, I'm not a big analytics guy,
but I will say the odds of the Phillies making the playoffs did go up now.
But, like, James, you know, they're like legit.
Spring training is starting next week.
Free agency is now, Jack.
Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that Kyle Schwerber is not a Philly yet.
We're recording this at 1017, the night of the deal.
And so essentially, free agency has been active for all intents and purposes
for three hours and 17 minutes.
And Kyle Schwarber's not a Philly.
No one's a Philly.
Especially Kyle Schwarber's not a Philly.
Like, you know, a little disappointed.
I'm not going to lie.
You know, I want it now.
You know?
Well, I mean, I've only been tweeting about Kyle Schwarber for the last, like, three months.
Honestly, I'd rather have Nick Cassianos, but I'm going Schwarber for you.
Thanks.
I mean, to be honest.
By the way, the DH,
do you think Schwarber gets an extra $10 to $20 million
on his contract because of that?
Well, I think that's why.
I do think that's why he didn't sign before the lockout
because he knew this was coming.
So it makes sense.
I don't know.
But here's the thing.
Here's what has me feeling positive about the phillies chances with kyle schwarber is that uh kevin long is here
and kevin long is uh basically resurrected kyle schwarber's career so i think that would be a
good guy to hey maybe we could uh you know do our thing back in Philly. So that'd be great.
Also, the short portion right field.
Also, they have an opening in left field.
Also, they have like a thousand DHs.
So he's going to fit that mold.
So listen, it's only been open for three hours and 15 minutes or 18 minutes at this point.
And no one's affiliated yet.
But, James, class half full guy, no one else has signed to anywhere else either.
It's a context, low context.
Well, listen, it's just like we can't rip them if they're not the only ones not doing anything.
Although, it's so not what the NBA or, you know.
I know.
I know.
I know.
I know.
Because, you know, they'd be ready.
We know that, like like agents and teams have
talked like whether or not there was a lockout or whatever. Like, you know, that people didn't
just not do anything the entire time. Like at least like the NFL is like, Oh, it's the legal
tampering period. At least they are like acknowledging like, Hey, like this is stupid.
And even then they know people talk before that too but yeah like this should be
hot and heavy right now we should be on twitter like constantly refreshing our twitter pages
being like who's signing next where are they going where and honestly not just like for the fan point
of it but also from like i don't know the team's like spring training starts now like i don't know
don't you want to know who your starting x position is? Cause there are a lot of guys still out there and there are a lot of teams
that have open positions, including the Phillies on their team. Like, I don't know who's our
starting left fielder. You got anybody? I mean, like there's is who's our starting shortstop.
Is it DD? Is it Bryson Stott? Is it someone else? Like, what are we doing? Like, we need to know
what the team is. So I, you know, I'm i'm with you buddy not just should it be fun for everybody for them to sign guys but i
would think teams would be like i don't know really wanting to sign guys yeah well you know
i i guess it did kind of come together quickly so whatever so it's not like the end of the world
and i think they're actually pretty strict with the whole like you literally can't talk to anyone i know i'm but you know i mean it's it's sports it's sports it's it
it is sports it is sports but hopefully i mean dave could just shoot boris attacks me hey man
just checking i mean only his whole uh clientele i guess was was on the executive and players board today. So I think he got that through.
But, I mean, the first spring training game is next Thursday.
I mean, we're literally going from zero baseball at all
to everyone miserable all the time to like,
oh, hey, baseball's in your face all the time,
which is really exciting.
And James, we got to give credit where credit's due.
They did not open free agency during NFL free agency.
I know, just barely.
Just barely.
Very proud of them.
We made it just in time.
Very, very proud of them.
You know, though, that free agency will go on through then.
There will definitely be a big baseball player signed
during that time period.
We know it's going to happen.
Because not all these guys are going to sign right away. Some of these guys
are going to wait for other guys to sign.
It's not the way it always is. Normally
it takes forever. We have guys who aren't ready to start
the season because they sign late. That's going to
happen.
I just would like to say it is downright
disrespectful by the Chicago
Bears and the LA Chargers
for baseball's in the news. Everyone's excited. It's like, oh, hey, Khalil Mack got traded the LA Chargers for, you know,
baseball's in the news.
Everyone's excited.
And it's like, oh, hey, Khalil Mack got traded to the Chargers.
Can we just have our spotlight for a little bit?
But, you know.
Well, it was downright disrespectful of baseball to do it on Ben Simmons'
return day.
Now, granted, that didn't end well.
Well, there was no basketball game tonight.
Yeah, tell me about it.
It's been a day, Frenzy, a day.
You know, I will say I do wish that the people in charge of baseball saw the reaction to it all being over.
And we're like, hey, we should have done this earlier.
Because for about two straight hours there on twitter and and through
dm and text message like people were were just ecstatic and and people can say baseball is dying
all the time and people can say oh well they can say whatever they want about baseball but you're
so back right now you are i just don't care i just it's like last night's spot didn't even happen you are
just fully it's it's honestly really impressive to hear well it's just like everyone talks crap
about baseball all the time and you know there's something to be said for a sport that is there for
you every single night and i think everyone was just like looking for
their old reliable and maybe that should be the nickname for for baseball is that america that's
pretty good actually like old reliable that's good dude like that is because it's the right
you know connotation it's the right feel it's like yeah it's look you know it ain't tiktok buddy it's old
reliable that's great i love this i love this we're not we're not hip to the new trends but
you know what we'll always be there for you yeah every night we're gonna be there we're gonna be
there it might it might take a while but we'll there. It might take three months of pain, but we will eventually be back.
And once we're back, there won't be any labor problems for a little bit.
Yeah, 2024, 2025, whatever.
All right.
So you got labor problems.
Let's actually, because I don't have all night, and I'll get to it at the end.
But it's been a day, Jack.
Thank God for baseball.
Honestly, if it weren't for baseball right now, I might be comatose.
Thank God.
Thank God.
Honestly, that's how I feel.
I feel like baseball has saved my soul today, honestly.
All right.
Let's quickly talk about the actual deal itself, or at least what we know of it.
Expanded playoffs, it looks like 12 as of now.
That's cool.
We talked a lot about that.
14 really, really, really felt bad to me.
And 12, it's like I'm not super psyched, but you know what?
I can live with 12, and I'm sure it's going to get to 14.
We all know how this stuff works at some point, but push it down the road, buddy. 12,
12 is okay. You feel the same, my friend? No one's a bigger fan of kicking cans down the road.
I like, I'm just like, yeah, we'll deal with that later. That's future baseball fan Jack's problems. So, yeah, 12 is fine.
So, is it bad that I froze on the air today when I was asked what it used to be?
Yeah, a little bit.
I know.
Ike was like, are you sure you're a baseball fan?
I think so.
I think I'm still a baseball fan.
But, yeah, I completely froze.
I mean, I also froze on DiMaggio's streak.
I will say it's hard.
I know, but it's hard.
It's hard sometimes thinking on your feet.
Yeah, look, everyone has those moments.
If you talk on the radio,
you're going to have moments where you're just like,
oh, bleep, I know this.
What is going on right now?
And I just can't call it into my or you're gonna
say something stupid and something that's gonna get replayed and it's gonna be like oh that idiot
you know it happens it's just what it is we can't all be perfect all the time when we're talking
you know it is what it is i agree so i blew that today but um 12 teams is cool. It's not ideal. Less teams is always better.
I'm very curious to see what buys look like in the baseball playoffs
and how it works out for these teams.
Real quick, it looks like,
so at least from what Jason Sark put out a little while ago,
so first and foremost, there's going to be uh game 163 tiebreakers so they're gonna
do like nfl style tiebreakers now where it's um based on you know a bunch of like in division
record this that whatever don't know if i love that but like i get it because you're gonna have
extra wild card games but the way it's gonna work is it's gonna be the one and the two seeds
essentially get a buy and the uh three seed plays the six seed and the four seed plays the five seed.
And the four or five winner plays the one.
And the three, six winner plays the two.
All right.
Yeah, it'll be.
Which I'm fine with.
That prioritizes teams trying to get those top two seeds.
I think that's important.
Yeah.
Yeah,
it is.
Um,
so,
but yeah,
that'll,
that'll be interesting.
And as always,
it'll give us,
uh,
a little bit more hope for this baseball team,
I would say,
which is great.
We'll,
we'll,
we'll take that any day of the week.
So,
uh,
but I,
14 teams is too much.
And I hope that we get less you know 83 84 85
when baseball teams making the playoffs and hopefully there's still some incentivized uh
you know there's still some teams that are in the 88 plus win range that are consistently making the
playoffs from that same point but other than that 12 teams is fine i'll take it if it gets
again if it gets baseball back.
Yeah, I agree 100%.
DH, we know that we knew that was going to come whenever it happened.
I would just like to finally claim victory in the argument of DH.
We won.
We lost.
There's no victory.
It's more just you weak-minded fools who can't handle actual baseball.
Sucks for you.
We're going to get the
Shifts band next season, the Pitch Clock
next season, the Bases next season.
We talked about that
yesterday.
So you know how we feel about that.
Interesting that it's going to
start next season, not this season.
So if you're a big fan of the Shift,
take it in.
This is your year to really relish in the Shift. Is there such thing a big fan of the shift, take it in. Enjoy it. This is your year to really relish in the shift.
Is there such thing as big fans of the shift?
No, but I think the only way you can really,
this is a phrase that I don't think anyone's ever said, enjoy the shift.
If you do enjoy the shift is to be at the games.
So if you do like watching the defensive alignments
and like watching weird stuff like
that, like, you know, like, Oh, look at what they did go to the games.
Cause they'll show it on TV, but it's so much better when you're live and you're kind of
watching that unfold and you can see them being like, Oh wow.
Look at that.
The short stops on the other side of the first basement.
That's weird.
You know, like that kind of stuff.
Um, but again, you know, we're all good.
Um, and, uh, you have have any do you have any thoughts on all
the stuff that we don't like really dive into because it's like not something that the average
baseball fan really thinks about much but like the service time stuff that they dealt with the
younger players getting a chance to get paid a little quicker type stuff the you know seemingly
kind of trying to curb tanking stuff that they've
done.
Any of that stuff really stand out to you in a major way?
I mean, it's all good.
I think for the most part, a lot of that's good stuff for the game, but it's like kind
of, you know, not stuff that we dive super deep into.
Oh, would you say it's in the weeds?
Hey, maybe.
Oh, how about this?
It is like the definition.
It's like the reason the reason the term was,
was described for it's inside baseball.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh,
well,
there's going to be no more rule five draft.
So,
uh,
Andy McPhail can,
uh,
breathe a sigh of relief that he doesn't have to pick up the phone and
actually make a decision,
um,
on picking a player.
Um,
international draft.
How do you feel about that one?
That's actually what, I mean, you're, you're Mr. feel about that one that's actually what i
mean you're you're mr draft guy that's actually what i feel like you would have an opinion on
uh well i don't i really don't like like honestly i i i think it'll be interesting i i hope that
it's the the international stuff is just there's a lot of there's a lot of stuff that we don't know about so um i i genuinely don't know um like i i hope it's good for the sport uh i i get the owner again
the owner is pushing so hard for it makes me a little bit worried um and maybe not like it to
be blatantly honest yeah so i i don't know i i don't know um on the surface i think it makes sense yeah i've always
thought it made sense on the surface but that jack i was very with you like the owners like
being so gung-ho about it made me just feel weird about it and i was like i think i'm against this
yeah exactly which is not great but it's i'm being honest i think the lottery's smart
i like the lottery too i I like the lottery too.
It's only six teams.
I don't know how much lottery really curbs teams from taking players.
Exactly, because these guys don't pick the best players anyway,
and they do it based on signing concerns and stuff like that.
So it's a great point.
Like it almost doesn't matter.
So, yeah, they'll still try.
They'll still try to do whatever it takes to lose, I just make sure they're in that top six but um i like the i like that there's more
draft bonus pool stuff being put out there so you know it i think the union got a pretty good deal
here i think they got two i did too like like they got the luxury taxes up by like 20 some million
they went which by the way,
the owners are still getting a deal on that,
but it feels like a good deal compared to what I actually thought they could
get.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
And,
and the fact that it's going from zeros,
they're going from two,
like Oh six to two thirties,
a pretty big win for them.
Um,
and then I think it's also interesting.
I mean the,
the pre-art pool, it was like, it also interesting i mean the pre-art pool it was like
it was there was no pre-art pool was there and now it's it's at 50 million so the players came
in at 100 million and they got they got half of that which just feels like a feels like a win for
them um so seems like there's more money going around seems like they're getting a more fair
deal than they had before so i think that's a win more money for for younger players more money for draft purposes so
you know maybe maybe i don't again i don't totally know this um but with more money being the in the
pre-drafts or in the in the draft pool maybe you'll see the better players
being drafted higher in drafts so that it's not like oh the fifth best player in the draft is
being in the in the second round now um so it's a bunch of in the weed stuff um but overall i do
think that the the players got a good deal here and they should be proud of themselves for
standing together and not just like being worried about the threat of canceling games and some
awesome deadlines by the by mlb oh my god just just really dynamic stuff for you when you have
the beat reporters like putting deadline in quotes it's like what are we doing like what the big j
journal guys doing like deadline in quote like what are we doing like what the big jay jerno guy's doing like deadlining
quote like what are we doing like you've you've made it a mockery you've made a mockery of it
you know that's a mockery like when ken rosenthal is tweeting deadlining quotes it's like what are
we doing man like what are we doing uh by the way rosenthal not being a part of the only network is
great like it's just you know now they can actually be kevin or
yes i it's a great point jack you're right about that it's a really good point um i yeah it seems
like the players did well considering like the owners are still making out like bandits period
end of story and they always were going to and but you know and they get the the luxury tax which
acts as like a cap for the, like we talked about last
pod for the most part, like a real cap essentially, when they don't have to have a salary floor
and all the benefits of an actual salary cap and all that.
So like they're doing just fine.
But I think considering the circumstances and really considering the tenor of what it
felt like we were hearing, like it really felt like the owners were willing to kind
of sit this out and wait this out and really screw over the players.
And in those circumstances, it really seems like the players did really well.
So it's exciting, man.
I honestly can't believe it.
I really, when we did the pod yesterday, I mean, you can't.
You were broken.
Our pod, we titled a pod Baseball Broke Jack.
Like, and it was like depressing to hear you that way.
And less than 24 hours, less than 24 hours, it's like, all good.
We fixed it.
Baseball fixed Jack.
Yeah, listen, that's called pressure.
That's called having a voice.
And listen, yesterday was tough.
It was one of those days where it's like,
wow,
they were really going to screw this whole thing up and they didn't.
Well,
they did.
They still did,
but it wasn't that bad,
I guess,
you know,
it was,
it was,
it was pretty brutal,
but also it could have been way worse.
And the fills,
I mean,
the fills are,
are so close to being back. And just and just that like the fact that we're
gonna start getting tweets again of like oh yeah phils are in on this guy oh yeah and they're big
time names out there i mean like cassiano schwerber brian correa like story like there's like a lot of
like legit legit guys out there yeah, and Jim Gardner's tweeting tonight
about how John Middleton needs to make a splash
and go get Kyle Schwarber.
If there's anyone else who could move the line, as they say.
You don't think it's me?
You don't think it's me?
I don't know.
You, Jim Gardner, same guy.
But name someone.
I don't want to accuse Jim of anything,
but if you could please give credit where credit's due. I'm not sure you knew who kyle schwarber was before i started
tweeting about him so oh look at that wow i'm just saying wow there's been no bigger schwarber
to the phils guy in philly's media than this guy so i would just i don't want to be this guy but
sometimes you have to be.
If you're going to start tweeting about Kyle Schwarber to the Philz, at least credit me.
I mean, at this point, we've gone too far with the whole, I mean, I let the Harper stuff slide because he's a big enough name.
Schwarber's mine.
I think that's fair.
Honestly.
Honestly, I really, normally I would get on you about this, but co-sign.
You know, credit Jack.
Jack is the original Schwarber guy.
It's done.
Stop it.
So let's – come on.
And in fairness, when Schwarber inevitably has a classic Phillies free agent signing,
you know, has a horrendous year, credit Jack, you know.
It worked both ways, man.
Get really excited. Get really excited for about three days yeah
it's gonna be exciting to see all this stuff and uh i'm with you that is the the best part it is
funny though that like the first piece of philly's news that we got after the lockout and it was
hey ranger suarez visa issues won't be back for the start of the season it's like we are really back like this is like phillies like well of course like phillies yep yep and how about not even
getting opening day with everyone else we gotta wait an extra day just oh are we i didn't notice
that are we like not on the of course oh we're april 8th pal oh buddy all right what a what a great one um all right i gotta go you got anything else
i i had a horrible day outside of baseball millie had another seizure i'm like total mess over it
she's been in like a fugue state all night she's like walking around in circles i gotta go up and
like get her from emily now because emily's texting me so i'm sorry this pod isn't longer
send out good vibes for millie she's it's been
a rough one today and and i still have to write a speech for a wedding tonight i still have to
finish my beat the hammer questions and it's 10 40 and i have to wake up at six it's been a day
jack it's been a day well like i always say when it comes to wedding speeches because
something that i always have a comment on. I bet.
Just make them laugh, make them think, and maybe shed a tear.
Look at that.
You're right.
It's not that hard.
Just make it happen.
Just do it.
Just elicit the full range of human emotion in like a two-minute speech.
No problem.
That no one really cares that everyone's like hey

I know.
I know.
Oh, my God.
All right.
Just think about the orange glow.
All right.
What's next?
The orange glow.
What's next?
What's next?
Number four is opening day.
Cute holiday, but that's number four.
Nice one.
Well, especially when they're not opening day with everyone else.
It really takes the juice out of it.
All right.
What's next?
Number three is Bryson Stott's debut, obviously.
Aww.
I know, I know.
I really, really, really can't wait.
The second thing I'm most excited about this NFL season
is obviously Kyle Schwarber's first home run.
Like, I need it to be in the double deck.
I need it to be second level off of Ian Anderson or some scrub.
Can I guess at number one?
Sure, you can try.
I don't think you'll get it.
Bryce's MVP reign.
Wrong.
Well, that should have been number one.
He's defending his MVP title.
Is number one making the playoffs?
It probably should be that.
No, no.
You don't know me at all.
That's frankly very sad
i took this way too seriously whatever yeah you did yeah i wasn't thinking i was just actually
acting on instinct the number one thing i'm most excited about this fell season is that first blown
lead oh gosh just just so i know that we're really back that Yep. That's great. That's good, buddy.
I'll give you another.
Okay.
I hope tonight.
It'll happen at some point.
We're going to do it, I'm sure.
I'm making promises that the checks have not been cashed for yet,
but we're going to do I hope tonight, right?
That's going to happen.
Yeah.
It's the only thing I care about that's going on.
I hope tonight.e's first game
thanks to the pandemic and weird years zoe's yet to be a two baseball game so
shout out to cindy webster cindy and i are already gonna plan zoe's first baseball game
so that'll be good too that'll be something to talk about so we got lots going on that'll be good
of course phil's back baby they are they. This time next Thursday, we're going to break down a full nine-inning spring training game.
Oh, yes.
All right.
We'll definitely be back soon.
Obviously, signings, all that stuff.
You got any final thoughts?
I do have some final thoughts here.
My one main final thought is, again, the perfect speech will make you think, make you cry, and make you laugh.
Nice.
So as you're writing that speech, I hope you are inspired by the sentence I just said.
Yes, thank you.
It's good.
It's really good.
It's all I'm going to think about.
If I don't fall asleep while I'm writing it.
All right.
Is that your only final thought?
Are we done?
That sounds like dedication.
My second final thought is I met Pavetta two years ago today,
and it was a great day.
Oh, wow.
It was two years ago today.
Yeah.
Also, I've definitely shed some weight since then,
so shout out to me.
Shout out to you.
It'll be nice when you meet Schwarber someday,
and that'll be like a special moment too.
Oh, no.
Me and Kyle.
I guarantee you that Kyle will come on the podcast, and we'll be like a special moment too no me and kyle i guarantee you
that kyle will come on the podcast and we'll be very close friends yeah i believe it all right
just like me and my good friend jason yeah just like rg bradley came on our pod yeah kelsey that's
true kelsey's our guy he's back he came back because of jack jack had a talk about like the
sixth most important thing today was that yeah i know it's unbelievable jack had a good talk with
jason was like hey jason man you gotta come back listen one athlete to another
let me tell you if i could get back on that mound in a big game one more time you know it mean
everything to me and jason was like you know you're right i gotta go for that big game one more time
so yeah well he even got misty eyed so yep that's called a speech that works, James. Maybe you think about that.
We are so done.
Uh,
shout out to Millie.
Hopefully we're recording like on Sunday.
Cause there are moves over the weekend.
If not,
or tomorrow we'll be in it.
Well,
tomorrow I got,
I got weddings coming.
So we got,
we got stuff to do,
but we'll make it work.
Make moves immediately and we'll figure it all out.
We'll be back.
And if not,
we'll be back next weekend. We got be back. If not, we'll be back next weekend.
We got baseball, buddy.
We got baseball. And if Monte
Morris could get four assists tonight,
we'll be there. Nope, we're done with this.
Baseball's back. No more.
It's over. Baseball's back.
Alright, he's friends with Thomas. See you later.
