Our party have finished their conversations with Tobias Leto,
guildmaster of the Lamplighters Guild.
Gruffeth of Tremora has met with Ser Gryll, the knight,
and also made some inquiries at Brightshadow Cathedral.
But as Rowan, Ophelia Daisy and
Xanthias make their way back to the enticing devil to meet back up with
Gruff they find themselves ambushed as smoke greenish yellow sickly smoke
pours out of two ever lights and forms into a number of demonic creatures.
And that is, my friends, where we pick up,
once again, in combat, in initiative.
As a reminder, the sign closest to you guys,
the camera, the long edge,
imagine it is thick with buildings,
you know, it is closed off,
we just have it open for the camera.
It's just a road, straight road, east and west.
A road kind of
going east west there are some alleyways and things like that as well um you have the the
pillars with the lights that you can see on the miniature map there are these two ever lights
uh it also there is also another one just off in down towards one of these alleyways as well
have they both turned off now or are they still like they are still lit like normal yeah okay
they're still lit like normal the smoke has finished and has coalesced okay those lights are still active uh all right
uh gruffeth is not with you currently but he's making his way back unaware of what's happening
um and we can only hope that gruffeth will hear the sounds of battle and come a running
i'm stopping off down the pub yeah uh but uh and everything else you see is just as you see it.
We have a number of buildings.
There are some wagons with crates and barrels
and things like that.
There are two alleyways that split off.
It appears to be the small tall tower
at the back of the map along with all the buildings as well.
Okay.
But the way we were, we were heading to the east.

With that, we are going to jump straight in with Ophelia,
who is going to be at the top of the round.

point it towards the enemies that are facing
her right now so on the right side yep she'll just say you will not keep me from my path
foul demon and she will rage yes run towards the group so we activate rage bonus action and then
your speed is 35 5 10 15 25 30 35 just out of range normally but because you have a whip and 35. 5, 10, 15, 15, 25, 30, 35.

So you can see there are a number of creatures.
There are four of these more bestial demons, and then one who is more armored.
I'm going to tell you now the more bestial ones are minions.
The armored ones are full creatures.
So I'm going to refer to them as the demonic minions
and the demonic soldiers.

I'll take a whip towards the minion, please.
Okay, the one right in front of you.

And I'll do a reckless, please.
All right, so you have advantage on the attack roll.

as the whip kind of cajoles into this thick red line of blood.

As it hits the creature,
it just explodes
into that kind of thick, miasmic smoke,
that yellow and greenish smoke.
And when it dies, Ophelia, you take one poison damage.
Okay.
As the noxious smoke almost rushes towards you
in a final vengeful kind of burst,
and you take one poison damage.
Okey dokey.
But if that is you done.
That's my turn, thank you.
Alrighty, in that case we jump to the rear minion pack.
The rear minion pack is gonna come swarming.
Five, 10, 15.
So all the red minis, they're just minis.

the next person to act is actually going to be these two rear soldiers themselves.
They are catching up quick.

And they are going to do the same thing. They're actually going to move up.

And then they are also going to dash, I believe.

The one at the very rear is just going to blast towards you, Xanthius,
with a kind of poisonous dart of smoke towards you, basically.

As this smoke kind of impacts into your face and you feel it like dig into your flesh,
but as it returns to a smoky form,
you get it all in your mouth and burns your
lungs and your your eyes sting oh i just took a gig of ape the other one that's run up to
uh the one that dashed up to rowan has dashed i don't get a thing but it's going to use their
bonus action points to you rowan and will just say like it's time for you to die, coward.
There's no getting away.
It's gonna use their fight me coward ability.
Oh!
You are hexed, Rowan.
Whilst you are hexed by this soldier,
if you try and damage a creature that isn't it,
something will happen.
So it's like taunting you, basically.
Right.
So if you attack and do damage to any other creature,
it will trigger its monk.

So that is, there you go.
They are two separate groups.
I've rolled initiative different, by the way.
We then move to, I believe it is Gruffydd,
who has not arrived just yet.
So unfortunately he's not here yet.
But you begin to like, as you're making your way back,
you think you hear like some unusual sounds
and you're getting closer
and you start sort of like looking in that direction.
You see this kind of sickly green light
like bouncing off the alleyways.
And you've only seen that sickly green light once before.
And that was when Theresa was possessed by the demon,
and something, you maybe hear some sort of yell,
maybe the scream of Ophelia's rage,
and then you're like, oh, that's them,
and you begin to move away.
I'm gonna turn around, go the other way.
Okay, nice. Pop time.
Yeah, pop time, pop time.

to one cool uh they're just kind of with claws and barbed tails and teeth they're just trying
to slice at you but you're just not feeling it as you you pummel them just laughing yeah um reminder

you iron them up uh we then jump down to Xanthias.

All right, so including Ophelia, I'll make three saving throws for these guys.
The one that was hit, what's the DC?

All three of the minions are pretty much gonna die to this,
but Ophelia.

so yeah, you would have had it.

Never mind, though.
So Ophelia, I think it's half damage on a saving throw success?

but you leap out of the way.
All three of these creatures die.
As they do, though, they once again turn into that noxious smoke,
and as Gruff is out of range, the three points of poison damage go on to Ophelia
as they assault Ophelia with the poisonous nature of their bodies.
That's all good.
I'd like to think that as he's throwing the ice knife,
his body will start to be covered in that kind of the oak and the thorn
as he activates his armor of oak and thorn as a bonus action.
Nice.
Perfect. Well, great team.
So running in from the streets, throw this ice knife,
blow apart these minions and then form the green armor form.
And crucially, he's admonishing the kids.
Yes, nice.

As this fight is going,
as you've already begun clearing away these minions
and only, like, two of these soldiers now remain,
you see that the third Everlight,
closest to Daisy, you see smoke begins to
billow out of it once more. Daisy, behind you.
And a figure. Oh, boy.
Oh, that's a different boy. That sucks.
You see a demonic-looking humanoid figure. This one looks a lot, like, not quite a tiefling
because they are more unnatural. Their legs actually bend the wrong way. They kind of do the digitrade kind of like
backwards bend, but they have these great curving horns. But their mouth is almost permanently
emanating this like yellowy green smoke. And as they speak, it spills out of them. Their hair is like smoke as well as it pulls down their bold,
kind of, kindness head.
As this thing appears...
Don't smoke, kids.
More.
More is needed.
