but we are gonna try and crack on
and play our game as usual.
A couple of announcements.
First is that we hope folks enjoyed
watching the live show VOD last week.
Lovingly put together by our sweet Thomas.
Very good job, that is now available on YouTube as well.
If you didn't watch it live on Twitch,
you can go and watch it live on Twitch,
you can go and watch it on the tubes.
And enjoy that there.
Following on from that, we also put out a members video
where we opened all of our goodies in our presents
that you gave us at the VIP show.
So many.
So much, so many snacks, still got boxed snacks.
That is a members video, but if you're not a member
and you are a very dedicated fan
and you would like to watch it,
just maybe pop along to our Discord server, wink,
and maybe there's a little secret way for you to watch it,
even if you're not a member.
Ooh.
Yes, just ask around.
You'll be guided by it.
Just ask around.
Welcome, Traveler.
When you say the magic password,
they will grant you access to the special club.
What is the magic password?
We now have to have a wave of people.
The magic password is...
No.
Yeah, Verily, thou art quintessential.
There you go, enter the Discord, say Verily,
and you'll be guided to the Vod.
Yeah, and you'll be guided to it.
So you can go check that out.
Well, with that lovely sentiment,
shall we play some D&D?
Big Hoggies, yeah!
I'm sorry.
Barely.
Barely.
Thou art quintessential.
Barely.
V-Tac.
Thou art Poggies.
Let's run the intro and then play some D&D.
Yeah! Welcome back to...
Of the Dragon Empire.
Gah-yuck, sorry, I couldn't get it out of my system.
It's alright, you're the one who has to cut it out, mate.
You'll make it work for yourself.
Yeah.
Alright, are we good?
Boundary Kazooie.
Okay.
Welcome back to Ulthaya the Dragon Empire.
Our heroes have begun a journey
into the western side of Kul'dra,
to an area known as the Ash Hills,
once the site of a historic battle during the civil war
known as the Oriate Insurrection.
It is a land that is plagued by a magical blight that affects the land and animals due
to a possible corrupting effect of Crownsteel.
They seek Ser Eldrach Ignis, a knight of North Vale who was sent here to recover a lost magical
relic for Her Draconic Majesty, Lady
Emberissa. They made haste towards an old ruin called the Ashen Citadel, hoping to search
it and possibly use it as a base camp for their search of the Ash Hills. However, on
arrival they found the ruins occupied. Using a terrifying new spell, Ophelia sent her own
hand into the ruins to scout and discovered two prisoners trapped within,
as well as mysterious warrior types holding them there.
Our party successfully snuck in,
and though some were engaged in combat,
Rowan and Daisy managed to stealthily enter the ruin,
locate the prisoners' belongings,
and free them from their cage,
hoping they would aid them in the battle to come.
But for now, the battle continues.
Perhaps when it is done, there will be answers
to the mysteries woven into this little adventure.
Nice.
So, we do have a big battle map.
I have rotated it to make some things a bit more visible
because a lot of the action was taking place
behind hidden behind stuff last time.
So, to set the scene, we have a ruined keep out
in the Ash Hills.
There's a central tower that has a,
I'll explain where all the enemies are actually at the end.
We have a central ruined tower,
about half of a tower with a ladder that leads up to the top.
There's a ruined gate house,
which has like a little area at the top as well.
Various ruined buildings scattered around,
fallen walls and broken pieces like that as well.
We have a semi-intact room that connects
to one of the old pieces of wall,
with another wall and a set of stairs
leading up to the wall, the tower itself,
as well as a makeshift jail made of wood and iron
that houses the prisoners that you encountered before.
Then there is also a small campsite with tents
and a campfire and beds and things like that as well.
In terms of where everybody is located,
we have three scouts, what I was calling
the Reclaimer Scouts, who are all armed
with these heavy looking crossbows and armor.
We have one on top of the gatehouse,
one on top of the central tower,
and one on top of the stairs overlooking the jail.
We have a number of acolytes down on the ground
near the tower currently engaging with Rowan.
We also have a number of acolytes
in the semi-intact building rushing up the stairs
to engage Gruff and Xanthias.
Daisy has dropped down and has just finished
pick-locking the door to allow the two figures out.
And then Ophelia is actually on top of the wall,
engaging some of these scouts and figures as well.
Great.
And I believe...
Were you redoing initiative or?
Not gonna redo it.
I want to say I'm pretty sure Daisy was the last person
to take a turn
at the end of the episode, because the last thing
that happened was she successfully pick-locked
and allowed the prisoners the opportunity to escape.
They've not quite escaped just yet.
Remind me please, Master DM.
Yes.
What do prisoners look like?
I will say that in a minute.
Before I forget, the old ADHD brain, fate.
Fate, oh yes.
Let's just roll the Coosable of Fate. Fate, oh yes. The crucible of fate.
Yes.
Which I am still working on.
Huge.
Massive.
Watch out.
Whopper.
The norm.
The norm, all right, what have we got, Rhee?
Five.
A five, that's a dice for you.
A one.
A dice for me.
Massive.
Cinco.
Five.
That's a dice for you.
That's a dice for someone.
Six.
That's a dice for you. And's a dice for someone. Six. That's a dice for you.
And then my roll.
Yeah.
A six.
A dice for you.
Lovely.
A collect.
Lovely collection.
Four on our side.
So do remember, you can use the fate dice
to bolster your attack rolls.
So if you really want to land an attack,
you can bolster saving throw.
You can also bolster an ability check.
It doesn't have to be in combat, you know,
if you're like, you know, I don't know, doing a survival check or perception check, you can also post an ability check, doesn't have to be in combat, you know, if you're like, you know, I don't know,
doing a survival check or perception check,
you can always add it.
Any dice you spend will go into my pool.
At the moment, my pool is mainly gonna be used
for either enhancing damage by the enemies,
or maybe they have special abilities
that need fate points to burn to use special abilities.
There are also items that you guys can get
that can spend fate to do things,
but I don't think any of them are being used currently.
So...
I don't know.
Ophelia.
Oh no, for once not Ophelia.
Not me.
No, I wasn't looking at you.
Oh no, no you're right.
No you're right, you're right, yeah you're right.
It's my candle lantern hat.
That's it, exactly that, yeah.
Every time you turn it on and off, it blizzes.
Where's Rogerie?
Give me that.
Rogerie?
Rogerie.
Rogerie is currently safely tucked away.
Rogerie, your beast of burden is tucked away.
We have a rudimentary alarm system set up right now
with Percy.
And Potts and Pants.
Put the Percy, Potts and Pants panic.
Did I heal him?
Plan.
No.
Did you, before he had the, no? No, okay. I think he's... Did you... I thought he had been... No.
No, OK. I believe so.
Does anyone remember what health he was down to?
He had taken a small amount. I put it on...
My thingy.
I can't believe the world sticks around.
Whilst you look that up, the two prisoners...
Good question, good question, Thomas.
Thank you. The two prisoners...
Can I ask it again, if I'm wrong? No, no, no. It's fine.
The two prisoners that you have been rescued
are particularly unusual because neither of them
are beings that you have,
and any of you have encountered before.
One is some sort of tree-like being.
They are sort of not quite just like a golem,
they are almost like a tree creature brought to life.
They are some sort of sentient plant.
They stand quite tall, probably as tall as Rowan.
They have these long, kind of thick oak-like limbs.
They have long sort of bushy,
their clothing is made of leaves and thorns
and ivy and things like that,
almost like a toga, like a Greek kind of robe.
They have long, kind of flowing vines, vine-like hair,
but they are almost all entirely wood.
They are just plant matter, just purely plant matter,
no other parts to them.
The other figure is a small,
what for you guys in the audience at home would know
is a goblin, so small statured, big, big ears,
not just long ears like an elf, but quite wide
and sort of at the side of her head, very prominent,
big child-like yellow eyes,
some you can see like little fangs and teeths
kind of like poking through,
very kind of like child, very chibi anime kind of look
to a big witch's hat covered in plants and trinkets
and little fetishes and things like that.
Wearing a little capelet and some thigh-high
sort of like leather boots and some sort of little
witchy kind of druidic looking outfit.
A fan artist favorite over the last couple of years.
Yes, I believe so.
Lots of different interpretations.
And yeah, so those are the two figures there.
You have not met them yet, you've literally just freed them.
And we're gonna jump in, so like I said,
I believe that Daisy was the last person to act.
Okay.
Which, unfortunately for you, means, players,
it is the turn of the scouts, the archers.
Turn up the scouts.
They're all gonna miss. They're all gonna miss.
All gonna miss.
There is gonna be, so.
The scouts, I don't remember them being particularly like,
nasty before. Why are you setting us up?
I don't know, I just don't think they're gonna do much.
Okay, here comes the fall.
Okay.
They're called the Reclaimers.
Yeah. And I will, sorry. Yeah the fold. Okay. They're called the Reclaimers. Yeah.
And I will, sorry.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sorry.
Way ahead, yeah.
Yeah.
One is gonna climb up the wall
to get a better shot on people there,
as well as on Ophelia,
who had a bit of cover from him shooting upwards.
Okay.
This one is going to look down towards Daisy and Rowan,
and then the one over by the gatehouse is going to turn.
And it has a bit of a difficult shot to get to Xanthius
and Gruff due to the various buildings.
He gets that, it's Nipro Lee.
Yeah, well he doesn't really have a good shot
on anybody else, so he's gonna go for Xanthius
who's currently at the top of the stairs.
Fair enough.
All three of them, I need to see if they refresh
their Ricochet shot ability.
Oh. It's a recharge ability. So recharge ability.
So we'll do it for the gatehouse one, does not recharge it.
The guy at the top of the tower does not recharge it.
Guy on the wall does not recharge it.
None of them recharge Ricochet Shot.
They are all going to use one use
of their exploit opening ability,
which will all grant them advantage on their next attack.
Oh, bugger.
So they're all gonna get advantage,
and I'm gonna make a bunch of attacks now.
So that was a charge that they...
They have a certain number of uses of Exploit Opening.
Interesting, interesting.
Okay.
I'm just getting all my dice out.
So I'm gonna need those in a minute.
The one that's aiming for me through the window,
do I have to wait half cover or?
You will be getting, I would say,
I'd say you'd get three quarters cover.
Oh wow, okay.
So that's a plus five to your AC.
Yeah.
Sorry, I'm just making room
because I'm gonna need it.
It's dicey. No, you should apologize.
Right, Ophelia, you are within 10 feet.
This person doesn't have any penalties for shooting at you,
but they do get some bonuses because you are close target
and they're a sharpshooter basically.
So with advantage, my highest is...
Ooh, that's not great though.
My highest there is going to be, with bonus,
that's going to be 15 to hit.
Just hits. Just hits.
Because you are within 30 feet, they do get to add 2d6 damage with point black shooting.
What?
Their crossbow.
Just hits.
Just hits.
That is gonna be 16 points of piercing damage
with their exploit opening and their point black shooting.
They fire this heavy crossbow,
ah, bolt lands slamming into you.
Can I react to that?
You absolutely can.
Hellish Rebuke, see?
Oh, Hellish Rebuke.
I will make- Dex 13.
Dex 13, unfortunately they are gonna succeed.
These are very dexterous.
Already half damage.
Half damage.
So as the flames leap out of you,
the Trickshot guy is gonna throw himself back, avoiding the majority of it. Eight damage, fire damage. So as the flames leap out of you, the trick shot guy is gonna throw himself back,
avoiding the majority of it.
Eight damage, fire damage.
Eight points of damage.
I think you've hit this guy once, right?
Or somebody's been hit.
Yeah, it must be this guy, I think.
Yeah, I've not hit him.
It might have been Daisy.
I think Daisy might have just winged him.
So how much, though?
Eight.
Is that already halved?
Yeah.
Perfect.
Wow.
Yeah, 16. Wow.
Yeah, 16.
16, so, all right.
So you see this man throw himself back,
and all of these figures that you're fighting,
they're all wearing sort of black-stained,
or like sooty, ashen chainmail.
They have masks kind of like pulled up over their
like noses and mouths.
They have thick lines of soot and ash drawn
about their face, mimicking what you've seen
on Xanthius' hand, where he has this kind of crown
still mutation.
The patterns that they've drawn, like tattooed on themselves
or painted on themselves, mimic that.
And you can see that their clothing is quite tattered,
but all their weapons and equipment is very well maintained.
They're big fans.
But yeah, that's one shot towards Ophelia.
The next shot, and unfortunately I think
because the guy on top of the tower
has a clear shot towards Daisy,
and she's just picked the lock,
I'm actually gonna take a shot at Daisy unfortunately.
I'm sorry Katie.
But that's a terrible roll.
That is only gonna be, even with advantage,
a roll of one and a two.
Wow.
Which is terrible, and again,
proving that there's nothing wrong with my dice.
That is only gonna be a seven.
So Daisy, sensing something behind her,
hearing the click of the crossbow,
sort of yelps and throws herself to the side
as this bolt thuds into the ground next to her.
And then the guy on the gatehouse
is gonna try and snipe Xanthius through the window.
What bonus does three quarters give?
Plus five to your AC.
Plus five, okay.
That's huge.
So with advantage, my heist is gonna be a 16.
Nice, I've got 19.
19, so it's probably impacts against the wall, right?
You know, as the covers, the what saved you there.
So the crossbow belt thuds into the wall itself.
I pull Gruff in front of me.
Oh really?
I'd love to see you try and do that.
What's your strength score?
I'm so small.
What's your strength score?
He's so small.
What's my strength score? 13?
Yeah, actually that's better than mine.
All right.
Is it better than yours?
I'm a druid.
Oh, that's true.
What's your constitution?
Constitution is a plus three, 16.
18.
It's a tough boy.
Anyway, with that, that is the Scouts turn done.
Ophelia, you are next, and then Xanthias immediately after.
Okay, I think Ophelia's gonna try and take out this
Scout in front of her.
She'd like to run up and use, and she would Rage.
Letting that red light enshroud her.
The heartbeat beats, your vision goes red.
I'm going to Reck reckless attack this guy as well.
Almost seeing the veins running through his body.
WOOOOO!
Reckless you're saying?
Yes please.
Very good. I have advantage on my attacks against you.
16 to hit.
16 against these guys will hit, yeah.
Amazing.
They're sort of, they're chainmail weighing them down a little bit, not giving them as much maneuverability.
Five, so seven total damage with Veracity.
Seven total points with Veracity.
So you strike him, they're quite tough, you heavily bleed him.
Whatever wounds you deal, you scotching his side
and your nostrils, Ophelia, fill with that delicate tang,
that iron residue of blood as you see it dripping down onto the floor,
onto the stone rather of the wall,
as he's now holding his side.
Well, you've stabbed him, as he is now bloodied.
Amazing.
Perfect, anything else on your turn, Ophelia?
That is good for me, I'll stay in his range for now.
All right, Xanthius is up next.
So, I'm looking down the stairs
and there are the two Reclaimers and also...
So the leader, there's some sort of leader figure who was with them all.
He was at the top of the stairs, he's basically been dragged through by his companions who
have basically all pulled him back and they've moved up into the stairs to block your path
to him.
He's now at the bottom of the stairs, in the room itself.
There are three of these acolytes
in between you and him, basically.
Okay, but they are, are they all a blazin'?
I remember the acolytes or the proclaimers were burning.
And I've got heat metal on the main guy.
Yes, the sacred, I've been calling him.
Yes, I believe so.
Do you know what?
I can't remember, so I'm gonna give you the benefit of doubt
and say they are all burning.
I don't remember them taking a turn to put it out.
No, these guys are minions,
but I'm using the Flee Mortal minion rules.
So what I'm gonna do is I'm still gonna do damage to them,
which is gonna reduce their sort of hit points
for things that aren't direct attacks, right?
So sometimes if you catch them in an AOE, you need to do a certain amount of damage to make sure
you kill, overkill the minions and stuff. So I'm just gonna have this affect them. But who knows,
maybe it will kill them, maybe it will be enough. Um, can I... if I run down the stairs, like how
long are the stairs? So keep in mind, moving through these guys
is difficult terrain, so you're half movement.
Also, you will take an attack opportunity
from each one you move out of the threat range for.
Yeah.
You would have to move, it would take all your movement
to get to the bottom of the stairs,
and I'm gonna say two of them will get attacks
of opportunity against you for that movement.
And then when I'm at the bottom,
what I intend to do is I want to get to the bottom
of the stairs, so I'm out of range of Gruff,
the guys are still in range for my Thunder Step.
Gruff will still be in range,
because remember, it's a radius sphere around you,
I believe.
Oh, that's true.
So Gruff would still be in range,
like it will be high, because it will still be blocked,
there's still access to Gruff from the stairway.
Yeah, all right, in that case,
I won't do anything too flashy,
because on top of that, I'm also hoping
to look out the window and Thunderstep
onto the gatehouse next to this guy, but that's a whole thing.
Roll a D6 for me to see how much burning damage
these guys take. Oh, burning.
They take four damage. All right, four points.
I'm going to reduce their sort of minion health, basically.
Well, I did ask them how much they fear the fire,
and I would test the theory,
so I'm just going to do another Burning Hands down the stairs.
Okay.
And try and catch just all of them.
Because I think you did Dragon's Breath before.
That's what caught them all before.
So Burning Hands, which...
Seven for a right.
Comes from my Crown Crown Steel Corruption,
so would come out of my mutated hand.
They all make Dexterity saving throws for 14.
First one fails, top of the stairs fails.
Second one fails.
Third one fails, actually just barely fails, but all three fail.
Is that 15 foot cone?
15 foot cone, so just a little bit.
Not gonna reach the guy at the bottom.
The stairs are about 15 feet tall.
So you're catching everybody on the stairs,
but you're not gonna quite catch that guy.
Could I make a plea to the fateful gods
to instead of enhancing the power of it damage-wise,
I enhance the range of it by just enough
to catch this guy as well. A devil's bargain, you say? Instead of enhancing the power of it damage-wise, I enhance the range of it by just enough
to catch this guy as well.
A devil's bargain, you say?
I still take the damage.
So here's the thing.
Okay.
This is gonna be a complex devil's bargain
because there are things you don't know
about your Crownsteel.
Oh, good.
Crownsteel has types,
and the types are very set things
in what they can and can't do.
Oh, okay, so mine does.
So yours is a damage enhancing Crownsteel type.
I love you for giving that to me.
There is another Crownsteel type,
which allows you to boost things like range
and things like that. Cool.
In a similar way to like Meta Magic.
I will allow this.
It will cost you a Fate Point,
but also it will make a bigger narrative change
in that it will make your crown still unique,
which will have greater consequences down the road.
And you might not be able to do this again.
Maybe, it'll probably be another devil's bargain thing.
If you're willing, then I just wanted to extend the range
enough to also hit this guy.
This other leader, the sacred guy.
I'm telling you now, I will let you do it for a Fate Point.
Yeah.
There will be greater consequences to this as the campaign goes.
I fucking love Crude.
And if you do it again, it will be the same thing.
It will cost you a Fate Point to do, but also there will be ongoing elements to it.
Oh, that's a 3d6 damage, hell yeah.
Alright.
It's a good RP, bro.
Yeah.
Spending a point.
So before you roll, before I roll my Saving Throw.
Okay.
Xanthius, what do you do?
Like, you know that there's metal in you, you can feel this power.
Now that you've become aware of it, you now know that there is a power within you that you can draw on,
and it fuels your spells. It makes fire and radiant spells more powerful.
You know that. But what is it in this moment?
Like, what do you do? Do you try and manipulate that power to try and extend the range or?
I know that the,
from what I know of the Crownsteel,
I know that any fire or those particular spells
come out as bigger bursts of energy,
but there is also,
there's something about,
I think naturally that he's got
that sort of bead of crown steel.
He is like my target.
I want him...
You want him.
I want him gone for no reason that I reasonably can understand.
And I'm just imagining the bottom floor of this building as just an inferno.
So as you begin to imagine that and you reach out for this power, time almost seems to still for you.
And there is a flash of a vision in your mind as you return to the plaza in Ashenrest.
And you see a figure wrapped in a ragged, ruined cloak with golden skin
drinking from a fountain.
And you see just their sort of chin and their mouth,
and you can see scars where a terrible blow
has ripped and torn their bottom lip.
But you can see these pristine teeth,
many of which are pointed and fanged,
but not in a draconic way.
Take a drink, you the inheritor. Drink. And as that flashes and you feel yourself giving in
to this desire, just a grin.
And then suddenly erupting,
that 15 foot cone of burning hands
now becomes a 30 foot cone.
Oh shit.
It fills the bottom of this room, back draught blowing up.
Gruff, you see this incredible inferno just erupt
and almost backdraft up into you
as the entire area is engulfed.
Saving throw.
Failed.
Okay.
Full damage.
It is not damage enhanced, so it's just the area.
Okey doke, okey doke.
Ooh.
Wow. Wow.
Wow!
16 damage on 3D6.
You watch as...
Two fives and a six?
Yeah.
Nice.
Wait.
Oh, it wasn't that good.
16 you say.
Yes.
So that is half.
No, it's from Crownsteel.
Does Crownsteel bypass Crownsteel?
Who knows? Whoel? Who knows?
Who knows?
Who knows?
The three acolytes who are running up the stairs
and like, you know, drawing blades
and sort of pointing towards you in necrotic manage
are incinerated.
You watch as their clothes burst into flame,
their bones, their skin, their hair
is just incinerated and burnt away,
leaving them as black charred corpses
on the stairway.
The leader, this figure called the Sacred,
like throws up their cloak
and is almost trying to protect themselves,
but you just hear,
ah, ah, ah, ah, ah,
just burning as they are ignited,
and like all the sort of corrupted area around their eyes
seems to flare and their skin blackens
as they are also burned badly by this.
They are still alive, however.
God.
Jeez.
Bloody Elxantius.
Oh, my God.
I fucking love Xantius.
He's a cut-out. He's a goddamn monster.
Oh my god.
And that's the end of my turn? That's the end of your turn?
That's the end of my turn, that's just that.
Wonderful.
All right, down at the bottom, in the jail,
Daisy, Rowan, you had sort of thrown
the prisoner's belongings at them. I know you hadn't had a chance,
because you'd run out of actions.
You're sort of holding everything, aren't you?
So in the little jail, this little goblin is,
hang on, I gotta remember.
Oh, I don't know who you guys are, but thank you,
but my friend, he's dying, I'll try and help,
but I need my staff.
And she's like pointing towards Rowan
and you're kind of holding on your bundles.
She will drag her friend out.
Her friend is currently unconscious,
but she will drag them out
and basically try and get them away
from a lot of the fighting basically.
So she's gonna drag, she can only drag him like 10 feet,
she's only got 20 feet, 25 feet of movement. So she like drags her friend out, she's like,
come on, Bereth, come on, and she's like dragging him away,
and she's like desperately looking around scared,
and she is just going to, yeah, as an action,
she will take the dodge action, because she doesn't have,
she can't do anything right now,
she can't use her magic or anything.
Cool.
And her friend doesn't, like you can see this wood creature
has like wounds and sap is coming out of them,
but you don't know if he's dead or they're dead
or if they're dying, you don't know.
But she's very protective.
Yeah, very still, doesn't seem to be moving,
and this little goblin lady is like,
please, I'll help as soon as you can,
but I need my staff,
and she's just like looking around desperately. I rolled a d6 for my damage as well. Oh, thank you, you soon as you can, but I need my staff. And she's just looking around desperately.
I rolled a d6 for my damage as well.
Oh, thank you.
You took your psychic damage.
So I took two damage.
Two points of psychic damage.
Okay, interesting.
The sacred's turn.
Now, the sacred's turn.
I forgot to do this.
This would have been a reaction.
When you incinerated his three minions.
There is a moment where he's burning,
but just as they die, he reaches out his hand,
and he almost grabs some of their life energy,
and pulls it back in.
When a creature dies, he gains this,
and he slams it into his chest,
and some of his wounds and burning fades away
as he heals himself.
He, four. and some of his wounds and burning fades away as he heals himself. He...
Four.
14 points of HP.
Oh shit.
Oh my god, big heals.
He is still bloodied, but yeah, you watch as he kind of,
that was a reaction to one of his friends dying basically.
Sorry dude.
So many questions from this boy.
Where was his crown steel again?
He's wearing it to an amulet, I think.
Or a circular, I can't remember, one of the two.
It's either like an amulet or a circular.
I feel like I remember it being like a...
Yeah, I think it's like a circular he has on his head.
It's like a small piece.
Cool.
And you can see that he has crown steel corruption
around his eyes.
So it's kind of like a, almost like a mask,
like a bandit, sort of like thin band of it around his head, basically it's kind of like a, almost like a mask, like a bandit,
sort of like thin band of it around his head, basically.
And his eyes have a very draconicy,
golden color to them, basically.
So that was a reaction.
On his turn, as a bonus action, he is going to,
he's going to, in fact, actually,
he's gonna move out of the room first.
So he's gonna actually flee out the door.
He's terrified of this fiery conflagration
that has been summoned around him.
I guess even on the outside there would have been
a burst of flame out the door.
A burst out the door, yeah.
He's going to move out and he's going to...
Well, he's going to try and, he's gonna try and,
he's gonna start moving towards Penelope.
As he does, he's gonna bellow out,
rise, rise, reclaimers,
we must not let these foul traitors,
these fools who would misuse the Great One's gifts,
come to me, come to my aid.
I'm gonna spend my fate points,
both fate points, come to my aid. I'm gonna spend my fate points, both fate points,
to summon reinforcements.
As you watch, bursting up from this trap door,
over here in this building,
a number of these acolytes are going to appear.
Five of them in particular.
E, E, E.
So, oh, the next day.
Daisy and Rowan.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Or they could go up the stairs and try and get to Ophelia.
But they're gonna come scrambling out,
just like, sacred one!
And they pull their blades, ready to rush to his aid.
That is his bonus action.
For his main action, he is going to then throw up his hands,
and he is like, he begins to channel something
as black flame begins to coil up his hands.
He throws it out, and you watch as within 30 feet of him,
so, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, he's not gonna be able to hit the gatehouse.
That every other ally, so the two scouts,
one on top of the tower, one on top of the wall,
plus all the minions, their weapons become enshrouded
in black flame as he throws it out.
He's empowering their weapons now.
Oh god.
What are the two guys in front of Rowan, actually?
They are acolytes as well. Oh, okay. So they're similar to the other guys. They're all wearing this now. Oh god. What are the two guys in front of Rowan, actually? They are acolytes as well.
Oh, okay, yeah.
So they're similar to the other guys.
They're wearing this kind of like chainmail
and blacken armor.
They've got blades and maces and axes.
Okay.
And he throws it all out, and all of them,
you can see their weapons engulf in this kind of black flame.
And that is gonna be his full turn here to do that.
It's terrifying for him, but amazing.
Great for him. Great for him.
I love that, for him.
After the sacred, it is Gruff.
Hello. Hello.
I just had a weird out of body experience.
I was just in another place entirely,
and I woke up and suddenly there's fire
and screaming everywhere.
So I'm just trying to figure out what's going on.
But the first thing that's going to happen
is that boy who ran off.
Yes, the heat metal.
He still has heat metal on him.
He does.
So I'm going to use my bonus action.
To make it flare.
To make it flare up.
Do you know if it was at level two or level three?
It would have been the base level, so level two.
Base level, okay.
He's doing the voice out of character now.
It's the only way to keep it going, Thomas.
He's become Gruff.
He's talking to himself. She is firm. I am Gruff only way to keep it going, Thomas. Become Gruff. He's just talking to himself.
I am Gruff. I was in Wales yesterday, actually.
That'll be it.
In Merthyr, Merthyr Tydfil.
Land of my grandmother.
Lord Dumpin.
I believe it's a saving throw for me, right?
No.
Oh no, it's just damage.
Yeah, with...
Oh wait, no, yeah, no, no.
No, yeah, it's just a straight up 2DA damage.
2DA damage.
He is resistant to fire, so it will be halved.
That is five, nine points.
So nine halved to four.
Heat damage.
So yeah, you can see he's got this kind of armored,
you know, armored plating, like breastplate and stuff
after him, which is glowing red hot.
And you know, he's probably beginning to like buckle and sort of like expand itself as well.
But yeah, he does take some damage, but he is resistant.
How many of the new boyos turned up in this new form?
Five.
Five?
Yeah.
Bloody hell.
They are mignon.
Was his flame thing a concentration?
I don't know.
Never seen a spell like this before in your lives.
I'm into it. I'm into it. Unless? Never seen a spell like this before in your lives.
I'm into it.
Unless you've read a certain book.
Yeah.
Oh, right, okay.
I am using Flee Mortals by MCDM, my good friends at MCDM.
I know I've been playing this game for like eight years now.
Yes.
I have concentration on Heat Metal, but I can cast a spell that does not have a concentration.
Correct.
But just make sure it doesn't have concentration.
It does not.
Good. But sometimes, like, yeah, it's not 100% clear.
In which case, I'm going to point my staff,
my illusory Saren is going to fly out
towards the five new boyos who have appeared.
And in her wake, a giant tidal wave.
Oh good, I don't need to think for that.
Excellent, what do I do?
Dex save 15.
Dex save 15.
For this giant wall of buck.
What's the range on it?
So the range is 120 foot, so I can point.
And it starts at a point and then goes out.
And then the area is up to 30 foot long
and 10 foot wide and 10 foot tall.
So to make sure you don't hit like Daisy,
you just start it here and basically,
and then knock those guys.
Yeah, I can start it there and then knock them
into the wall basically.
So these are minions, and I've also,
I've been getting a minion thing wrong
with the Flea Mortals minions.
Okay.
If I succeed a saving throw,
say like against an area of effect spell,
and I succeed it, they don't take damage.
Because they're minions, they just die in a hit anyway.
Right, I see.
Because if they took half damage, they just die.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So they don't take any damage.
Okay.
So that's actually a thing that I've been getting wrong.
Sure.
I mean, they'll stick around a bit more.
I'm good for.
So, deck saving throw.
Yes, please.
15.
Deck saving throw, plus two.
The first one succeeds. Alright. 15. Dex and third level, plus 2. The first one succeeds, second one succeeds, third one fails, fourth one succeeds, fifth
one fails.
So two of them are destroyed, because you're going to roll easily enough damage.
12 points of bludgeoning damage, And the ones who fail are knocked prone.
They are dead.
They're dead.
Well, they're knocked prone as they die.
That's true.
Technically, that's still a fact.
The water kind of rushes forward.
Three of them manage to either throw themselves
into the doorway, embrace themselves,
or maybe like grip onto something.
The other two are hit by this wave of water,
thrown slamming back into the stone wall.
And you know what, because I can do it in the terrain,
the wall buckles and breaks.
Oh.
Smashing out the other side,
as the tidal wave breaks the crumbling ruined wall down.
Oh, cool, the power of the sea.
Yeah, and two of them are slain.
It also extinguishes any unprotected flames in the area.
The black flame around the weapons
does not go out, fortunately.
I appreciate it.
Cozy hearth fire, you know, that's gone.
Anything like that is all gone.
Also, some of the water goes down the trap door.
There seems to be something down there
and a bunch of the water flows down there as well.
Oh, I've just drowned another prisoner, great.
Maybe.
Ha ha ha ha.
Cool, well it does say that the water
vanishes at the end, so it doesn't stick around forever.
It would soak anything.
Yeah, yeah.
All right, cool, good to know.
Um, so, movement wise.
Yes.
So you're currently up here.
Yeah, I'm currently up there, aren't I?
Were there any more acolytes at the bottom of the stairs
or just their charred, dusty, remnant?
Just their charred, dusty bodies.
Remember the Arlen Uncle Owen?
New Hope?
Yeah, Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen?
Oh boy.
Oh, you did that?
You did that.
You did that.
Only Imperial Stormtroopers are this precise.
I'm not saying that you did.
So precise. I will you did. So precise.
You don't look too hurtful.
Sand people walk single file.
I'm less than half.
I am bloodied.
Oh, in which case...
Can I hold... No, I can't.
Can I hold my movement? No, I can't.
If you had your action still, you could.
Because you could action dash and use your dash as your held action.
Will I stay here?
Without being too numerical with it, I'm only chest under half.
I really don't mind you guys saying...
I have 19 out of 42.
Is he...
Nah.
Weak.
Any movement or bonus actions?
I'm going to go down the stairs.
Into the building?
We're not 45, 35 foot of movement,
pursuing this chap who thinks he has grand ideas.
So you basically get to the doorway, you are basically in the doorway.
I'm going to put you outside, but you are currently just within.
Yeah, as he's going, it's like...
He'd do it more Welsh.
Oh!
I don't think he's going to recover from that one, boy. Oh.
I don't like this.
Anything else on your turn, Gruff?
You're really fucked up, young man.
Rowan, you are up next.
Did I do that?
I am up next.
You are next.
It sounds like Gruff's turn is done.
I'm done. So it's Rowan.
Rowan is going to turn his back on these two,
cradling these weapons.
Okay.
And he's going to throw the weapons
towards the two in front.
Okay, great, so just sort of throw them on the ground.
And using his back as like a...
You can easily throw it into the space next to him.
Easily enough.
What would you consider that to be?
Um...
Free action.
Just a free beat.
Let me have it.
I'll let you have it for free, but you would provoke an attack of opportunity,
because you'd have to move to them, drop and then Move back that'd be a free action
It'll be a little action deal devil
You basically move up to them boy actually I'll let you pick you move up to them you drop
I'll move up to them and drop it off as a bonus action attack of opportunity group 12 to beat
That probably is gonna actually be alright right because I rolled very badly.
So even with the group attack, which adds another one.
What about that fancy hand?
No, seven to hit.
No, only enhances their damage.
So seven to hit.
So you mention she just, pfft, bundled past.
They're invisible again.
Their reaction.
Where's he gone?
You move up to Penelope, or the goblin,
I should say at this point, and you just drop your stuff.
She's like looking up at you like,
oh, and she like holds her hands out
and like takes the staff.
Staff for you.
Yes, it's yours.
And thanks, thanks, mister.
And she like takes the bone.
She's like, Baranth, he's got your bone.
And like she puts it down next to him.
And then as a bonus action,
I'm going to Healing Word Baranth.
Okay.
See if it works.
Sure.
So it's, I'll do 2d44 so that's at level three, right?
It should be 3d4 at level three.
That card just stopped outside.
Yeah, pretty abrupt.
Yeah, I'll do 3d4 at level three.
Plus your modifier.
10.
With your modifier?
Wee wee.
Nice, 10 HP.
I want two on each dice. So Berent is currently now. 10. Ah! 10. With your modifier? Wee wee. Nice, 10 HP.
I want to on each dice.
So Baranth is currently now at 10 HP.
So that was my bonus action, right?
What's your bonus action?
So you've used your move and your bonus.
I haven't used my whole move though, have I?
No, just as a point as well,
when you weave the healing word,
like is it you play like a note on the instrument,
was it?
I'd say for, you know, all future combat,
I don't need to pluck a string to do so.
I can resonate this tone.
So there's always a tone that comes out
and an energy of like green blue energy that comes out.
So when you do the sort of almost like the,
cause this whole area,
this is your just on the cusp of the Ash Hills,
there's still like patches of green grass
and things like that.
As you do the note, almost like the grass
and the vegetation around Baranth
seems to almost become more vibrant and glow.
And you see these little green motes
kind of float up from his body
as this wooden face is like a wooden carved face.
You know, no, it's just eyes and a mouth.
There's no nose or anything, but the eyes open
and they are filled with a vibrant greenish yellow light.
They just open and the mouth then
like kind of stretches almost
and you see like the body begin to twist.
Welcome back, friend.
Thank you.
That's all.
For helping me.
Where is my bow?
And he kind of grips it, they grip it.
Right there, I'll be right back.
And I'm gonna turn around, whip my sword out,
and go fight these fuckers.
Sure, I'll allow it.
Thank you. What do you mean? Tis within the rules of the game, I'll allow it. Thank you. What you mean?
Tis within the rules of the game.
Exactly, I'll allow it.
Oh, cool.
Seven.
Seven does not hit, unfortunately, no.
They just like bring up one of their swords
and parry it basically.
As you go to strike.
That's basically it for me.
Great, good turn.
Top of the round, the acolytes.
These three are going to, you know what,
they're gonna come and rush and surround Rowan
because they've got all their friends there already
and these acolytes work better in a team.
So they are gonna rush around you, Rowan,
and they are going to all attack you in a group attack.
Bring it.
And they are going to all attack you in a group attack. Bring it. And they are going to use...
Okay, no, they've got a different thing for Exploiting Venus.
They all enhance with the...
All of their weapons are enhanced,
so this is gonna add stacking damage to the group attack.
Let's see if they hit.
So I've got five there, so this is gonna...
They are soaking wet as well, though,
so they make like a lot of salt. 16 to hit. That is gonna be... They are soaking wet as well, though, so they make that...
16 to hit.
That is gonna hit.
No, the water dip is.
So this is gonna be...
They are not sodden.
Six, eight, ten.
Plus...
Gonna workshop it.
I mean, technically the way this ability works is...
Yeah, this is an extra bunch of D4s I'm gonna do here.
So that is gonna be 10 slashing plus...
Don't want your dice.
Why?
Because you're gonna choke,
and I don't know the home look.
One of you does.
No, put a great clip, though.
Rowan takes 10 slashing damage and 11 necrotic damage.
21.
I'm gonna use Stones in Jorah.
Okay, yes.
Stones in Jorah.
Mixed up between Stones and Stems.
My name's Rowan and I'm gonna use Stones in Dorah.
That's disrespectful, isn't it?
I'm gonna use D12 out of the mouth.
Can you do this against necrotic damage?
Is it all damage types you can use?
You can use Stainless Erasers.
Reduce the damage.
Nice, okay, so 21 total.
So minus six.
So 15.
15.
15 points of damage.
Yeah.
Still good?
I'm still good.
Okay.
He's still standing.
Yeah.
Better than ever did.
I'm down to 19 out of 38, Tom.
Alrighty. That's what I was hoping for.
After the acolytes go, it is Daisy's go.
Daisy do a murder.
Well, I think, because she kind of really wants to get a sneak attack.
These guys are technically up, so I'm actually gonna have her move around.
And she's gonna try and sneak attack this guy.
Oh, the...
The sacred.
The sacred.
She's gonna try and sneak attack with a radiant blade.
Oh, her first attack, he parries it.
He has like this kind of wicked curved knife.
He parries it.
She summons the second Radiant Blade
and is gonna try it with her offhand attack.
That will hit though.
So it's slightly less damage, but she does get sneak attack.
3d6?
I believe it is now 3d6, yes, I'm just checking.
Just checking, playing a different character, 3d6.
You can't have a dice for that.
No, I'm not using your crazy dice.
No, I have a 2D6 dice.
Let me know if anyone rolls 2D6.
So this is plus four.
That's like a cure.
So five.
I'll die.
Six, seven.
I'll die.
13 points of damage.
Nice.
Unfortunately, it's raiding damage,
and that also seems to be somewhat
resisted. So that's only gonna be six points of damage unfortunately. Okay. As
you see that Raiden energy like cuts into him, bypassing the armor and it just
yeah doesn't seem to find the purchase that you would expect. Your light cannot
hurt me, foul one. I am blessed.
As he looks towards, Daisy now looks quite panicked.
So that's her movement, action, bonus action.
So that's it, she's done.
The scouts turn.
I will see if their ricochet shot regenerates.
The gatehouse regenerates ricochet shot.
The tower does not regenerate it.
Guy up on the wall does not regenerate it. Guy up on the wall does not regenerate it.
So I am now gonna have Ricochet's shot from the gatehouse
is gonna go into Daisy and Gruff.
So I get to make an attack against you both.
I'm gonna use a second exploit opening to give me advantage
technically on both shots.
This is cool. Sounds like a P.
Sounds, does say it does. Blame Matt Colville.
I will. I'll add him to the list.
James DiCesso. The shot against Daisy, two 3s.
Wow. Awful. Absolutely awful.
Love that.
Ruff. Two 18s.
Oh my God.
Swings and roundabouts.
A 17.
Oh, I think I'm going to hit you unfortunately.
However, I don't get my extra damage
because you're too far away.
I do, and yeah, I don't get the necrotic damage either.
Oh, oh, oh.
Sto-wee.
Seven points of piercing damage.
Ow.
Oh, ow, I'm down.
I'm nowhere near it.
The guy on top of the tower.
Oh, can you make a concentration for heat metal for me, please? Do you see 10? Oh, yeah. I'm nowhere near it. Uh, the guy on top of the tower.
Oh, can you make a concentration for Heat Metal for me, please?
Do you see ten?
Do I add anything to this? I know I asked.
Constitution.
What did I do last time that was in the top?
I can't remember.
Heat Metal...
It's gone. Oh, unfortunate.
In that case, that actually frees up my second guy.
He's gonna take a shot at you, Ophelia.
Yeah.
Fighting the other buddy.
Let's go.
Oh, he does have advantage,
because you reckless.
I am reckless, yeah.
It's not a natural 20, but it is a 17 plus.
It was the same face.
At 23.
Yeah.
So it's gonna hit.
Now, are you resistant to necrotic damage?
I am a not.
I'm a not.
I'm a not. We gotta fix that. I'm a knot. We've got to fix that.
I know, I need to be undead.
I'm going to kill you.
What?
That is going to be...
What was that bit?
What?
I'm not undead.
Yeah.
Yeah, don't like that last word there.
That's a plant.
13 points of Piercing, which you are resistant to
because you're raging.
I'm raging, so that's six.
And then three points of Necrotic Six.
Yes, round down.
And then three points of Necrotic.
And three, so nine total.
Nine total. Perfection, that's all. And then the guy of Necrotic. And a three, so nine total.
Nine total.
Perfection, that girl.
And then the guy you're in melee with.
That would be Perfection, not what I'm doing.
He has like a bayonet on his crossbow
and he's just gonna try and bayonet you basically.
Yeah.
Bayonet.
Yeah?
Only a 14 to hit.
Just hits.
Just hits.
That is spot on.
So this is gonna be eight points of piercing,
so four, and then one Necrotic damage.
So five total. Lovely jubbly.
Just chipping away.
Just... Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Yeah. If I try and move away...
That was pretty fun, huh?
Just going to get that attack of opportunity.
There we go.
How bad are you looking at Ophelia?
Ophelia's looking pretty...
Bloodied?
I would say she's bloodied, bruised.
Yeah.
Okay, in that case he'll stay in melee combat with you.
He's like a trained soldier, he's going to try and stay in combat.
That's right, he's got a common, you can stay by me.
He doesn't know what you can do, so he's like,
if I can kill this one then I can go back to shooting.
So he's going to focus on that.
That was the Scouts go.
Ophelia, then we'll have Xanthias.
Can I move around behind this Scout man,
and can I Spartan kick him down the wall?
Thank you.
You absolutely can do that. Yes, absolutely.
Do not forget you have Fate of Veykul as well.
So the way this would work is this is a shove attack,
so you make a normal unarmed strike against him. I would like to use Fate as well. So the way this would work is this is a shove attack,
so you make a normal unarmed strike against him.
I'll let you use your decks for this, so it would basically be the same
as making an attack with your whip or voracity or something like that.
Nice, yep.
If you hit...
Oh god, I'm trying to remember how shoving works, it's been a long time.
I actually served it on the thing.
Is it not contested against the strength?
Well, I...
It says, I was just looking at this.
Oh, were you already looking at it?
The target must succeed on a strength dex.
It chooses which saving throw,
which is DC 8 plus prof bonus plus strength.
Or you can either push it five foot away
or cause it to have the prone condition.
Hmm.
Sorry, I Googled shove and it autocorrected to shovel.
I just had a series of pictures of shovels on my screen.
That's foreshadowing.
That's what that is.
Tried to bury me.
Oh, thank Jesus.
I take myself back out, motherfucker.
Oh, God, I just...
I don't know why I caught that.
Dost thou not believe me?
No, it's not that at all. I just wanted to know...
Yeah, because I was thinking of doing it with my hook stuff.
I'm also just annoyed that I can't...
Sometimes D&D really works, and sometimes it does not.
Yeah, it's a bit funny, isn't it?
Does it say what the saving throw is based on?
It just said must succeed on a strength deck's saving throw, it chooses which.
Which is DC8 plus proficiency bonus plus strength.
Okay, yeah, okay.
Alright, okay.
So this is because I've just checked it and I think that might be like...
A bridged version.
Or like a battlemaster version or maybe it's a new version.
Because in 2014 rules, because I was sure it was that you make an attack roll.
Instead of making an attack roll, you make a Strength Athletics check
contested by the target Strength Athletics or Dexterity Acrobatics.
You succeed automatically if the target is incapacitated.
It does say at the top you make a melee attack using your body
to deal one of the following effects. So I guess you make the melee attack.
Well no, because then you make a contested check
and this is completely different.
So I don't know where your source is going from.
It's D&D Beyond.
Yeah, it might be that like...
Maybe they've updated some parts of the others.
It might be for 2024 or something like that.
For now I'm gonna do it based on this,
which is an opposed roll.
So it's a strength athletics check from you.
Cool.
Don't forget you can add fate.
I shall add fate.
And then I will be making an acrobatics check
because he's a bit more dexterous.
Alrighty.
Mmm.
Good morning to this motherfucker.
23.
It does beat him.
Like I rolled really high, I got 21.
I thought, oh.
But no, you managed to do it.
I get to fate my friend.
Oh yes, thank you very much.
Yes, thank you.
No, sorry Kim, it's not that I disbelieve you,
I was just like, I'm sure that that's...
I remember it working a different way, but...
I think it might, because there's also like Battlemaster
and abilities or like, monks get like an ability.
It's just on my unarmed strike, like, they're...
Weird.
Yeah.
So, they get knocked down, so this is about...
150 tumble stairs.
Five feet here.
Tumble down stairs. So I'm gonna, they're gonna go prone here.
They're gonna take some damage, but I'm gonna see
if they then fall either, like they keep rolling.
I'm gonna make a deck saving throw.
I'm gonna make the DC 13, which means I need a nine or higher
because I've got high decks.
If he does, he manages to grab himself
and stop himself from falling off.
If he fails, he's going to fall the full 15 feet down.
Yes.
Natural one.
Oh!
He goes down the trap door.
Roll 2d6.
No, 2d6.
Don't trigger me with that,
because I've already had that incident this week.
Oh my God.
Five, that total.
Five total, so he takes another five points of damage.
Yeah, you just Spartan kick this dude.
He rolls, he tries to grab, he's too late,
he goes clown around.
I'm also gonna say he drops his crossbow.
Oh nice.
You mean that one, yeah?
Yeah, it's like it falls, it's somewhere around here,
but it falls out of his hand as he's falling.
Lands on the floor, fires into him.
That is your, so that was in place of an attack, basically.
Yes.
So can I just spider climb sprint down the wall behind him, basically?
Yep.
So you go five, ten, fifteen, twenty.
You go horizontally.
You can literally get down onto the floor next to him.
Yeah. Can I place a boot on his neck or something?
Or just like, just keep him on the ground?
Yeah, I mean, for now we're gonna say it's like,
otherwise that would be a full grapple,
to try and grapple him.
But you can definitely like put a, yeah, for flavor,
you've gotta put a boot on him, yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, love it.
And that'll be my, actually that was my turn.
All right.
Just keeping him down there.
Perfect, and then we go to Xanthias.
Yeah.
Me.
Sorry?
Me.
No, I was just imagining him like, yeah.
Love this shit.
Since we have, I almost fell down into my basement this week.
Yeah.
Sorry, I can't see behind the tower there.
What's this?
I think this might be like a D&D Beyond fuck up
or something like that, because it's also, yeah,
Daisy on unarmed strike, it's got grapple and then shove.
But shove and grapple in the player's hammock
work completely differently to what it's saying.
I don't know if this is like a monk thing
and it's just giving it to unarmed strike,
because I know monks can do a thing that when they hit you,
they can like push you and stuff.
I don't know. I'll have to check that out.
I will ignore it in the future then.
Well, I mean, maybe it's right and I'm getting it wrong,
but as far as I'm aware, that's not it.
Ah well, it works. The version we did made sense.
And yeah, there's some rules, so...
I can't see behind the tower.
So there are five acolytes surrounding Rowan.
Within 10 feet of Rowan, what are we talking?
Literally five acolytes.
So there's no allies?
No allies currently.
And the wall between, on the edge of this building,
is that a full wall or is that a damaged wall?
Between me and Rowan.
Between you and Rowan, it's open.
It's open.
Nice, open wall.
Can I run and jump?
I want to, well, in the air, tell Rowan to catch me.
15.
Okay.
So, you get about, it takes about 15 feet of movement
to get to the edge, then you're gonna jump like 10-ish feet
right out into the open air.
Oh, actually, I've just realized how far away he is.
It's very, he's very far.
Yeah, he's five, 10, 15, 20, 25?
25 feet. 25, okay, he's five, 10, 15, 20, 25? 25 feet.
25, okay, that's a big jump, then.
Yeah, no, that's like, Olympic, Olympian level jump.
But from a height, though, I'm like 15 feet in the air.
Yeah, you're not gonna go 25 feet horizontally.
Sorry, for some reason I saw him as way closer.
That's fine, I had a thing, it was gonna be bangin',
but yeah, here I stand, rapidly coming up with a new plan.
But talking over the entire process,
because content-
Distracting yourself because you're trying to make content.
No, yeah.
You could just let us do that,
and you focus on your turn.
Hey, it's my turn, this is my moment.
This is my-
Perfect moment.
This is my spotlight.
Short, it is decidedly so.
No, no, no, don't worry, watch this though.
You ready? I'm gonna both this one. I'll watch this drive. Short, it is decidedly so. No, no, no, don't worry. Watch this though. You ready?
I'm going to buff this one hard.
Watch this drive.
Yeah, here we go.
I'm going to, I'm just going to shoot a Chaos Ball.
Okay.
There you go.
I'm going to shoot a Chaos Ball.
I'm going to shoot this.
So line of sight, you can only see the scout here
and then the five acolytes.
Line of sight wise.
This sacred guy is just out of line of sight.
If you came down off of the building,
you'd be able to see him, but he's just out of line of sight
and so is this guy, technically.
Okay.
I mean, if you want to change your movement,
like you could go to this window.
Yeah, actually, yeah, I will change it.
Can I shoot a chaos ball at the scout on the gatehouse?
The gatehouse, the far one.
Yes, absolutely, so you move up to the window.
How far can they advance?
That's gonna, it's gonna make your cover slightly worse.
Like you'll only get half cover up against the window.
I'm trying to see if there's anyone within 30 of him.
Yeah, probably not.
Yeah, probably Tower Guy.
Is Tower Guy?
Let me check, five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
Oh, maybe 35.
It's about 35, 40 feet.
Shit, that's fine, I'll still do it.
So I just need to make an attack against him.
Okay.
Well, he doesn't have any cover, no.
Because you're up against the window
and he doesn't have like anything protecting him.
Good job.
Natural 20.
Oh my gosh.
Now the drive.
So that means he takes 2d8 straight up, so 16.
Well, here's the thing, Tom,
because Chaos Pot has an interesting thing, doesn't it?
It damages the thing. I think I'm just going to say that if you roll a double or whatever it Tom, because Chaos Pot has an interesting thing, doesn't it? It damages the thing.
I think I'm just gonna say that if you roll a double
or whatever it is,
because normally if you roll a double, right?
You roll 2d8 and if you roll the same number on the d8,
then it bounces.
Yeah, so I'm gonna say that it still is on the dice.
Yeah, it's not too, I haven't rolled 2-8.
That makes sense.
So it's what?
So it's 2d8 plus a d6 of damage, right?
Oh yeah, so it's 22 base.
22 base before you roll, yeah.
Jesus.
Plus another eight, plus another 12.
Piss in my ass.
And I'm gonna call this lightning damage as well.
Okay, can you tell me how much damage total?
So 22 plus what you rolled.
22, 32, 34.
34 points of damage.
Bloody hell, Harry.
You watch as this ball lightning flies over across the ruin
and as it impacts them, you watch as their whole body
seems to burst and change color and smoke and smolder
as this takes this guy out in one.
You're a monster.
Scary guy.
Hey, cool.
It was a crit.
It was a crit.
Oh, I could have, I could have twin-spelled it.
I didn't though.
I'm gonna use my bonus action to convert sorcery points
into yet more runes on my bods.
Okay, great.
And that's my turn.
Alrighty.
Just another more melty.
I'm just gonna turn to Zazie and be like,
I think there's something wrong with Zampias.
He seems angrier.
No!
He seems a lot angrier than normal.
Get him, get him!
See, I think he's using that dark magic.
I think he's using it. Epsidus told him not to use really? I think he's using that dark magic. I think he's using it.
I said he's told him not to use it
and I think he's using it, Gruff.
He's being a bad boy.
I have to smack him upside the head.
Crown steal!
All right, down on the ground,
little bit tucked away from the Cameron stuff,
we have Penelope and Baranth.
Penelope is going to take a small step
to get her friend Baranth and Rowan
and some of these acolytes
as she's holding her staff that you gave to her.
And she's just gonna be like,
oh, ah, my lady, please.
And she slams the staff into the ground
as you watch in a 10 foot radius around this little goblin,
this little druidic witchy goblin,
all the ground, like flowers begin to bloom
and you see like vines and things
as she's gonna use her vitality bloom ability.
You regain 10 hit points, Rowan.
Baranth regains 10 hit points.
And all of these acolytes that are within 10 feet of her
die from poison.
What?
Wow.
And then also the sacred's gonna take
five points of poison damage as well.
Oh.
Oh, he's resistant to poison,
so he only takes a little bit.
So he's only gonna take two.
But you watch as, yeah, so all of these flowers
begin to bloom and some of them give little bursts
of green little motes of light,
and as they touch your body, like your wounds and your energy seems restored, Rowan.
And you see Barant's body, like sap,
kind of like goes back into his body, into their body.
And whereas all the acolytes start,
as this toxic miasma gets in their bodies
and touches their skin,
and they start convulsing and foaming at the mouth.
And she's just sort of like,
like shaking as she waves her staff.
And that area maintains, it doesn't go away.
So whilst that's in effect, anything within 10 feet of her
either takes poison damage or heals at her choice.
But she has to stay still, she has to stand still.
On the start of their turn, or?
The start of technically at their turn,
so technically that healing won't come in
until the start of your turn.
I just wanted to do it for flavor, basically.
Nice. But for the rest of the time, it's gonna be start of turn.
So that's her turn, she's not gonna do anything else.
Baranth is going to stand up.
Let's go, King.
He is going to provoke an attack of opportunity
because he is gonna take a five foot step away
from the sacred, who is going to definitely use that reaction
to try and strike with his curved blade.
Unfortunately, it does hit.
Ooh, and it's got a black flame too.
It does, oh, it doesn't affect his own weapons.
Oh, okay.
It doesn't affect his own weapons,
but it does have like a kind of-
Maybe he's a nice guy.
It does have like a black energy,
because he's hit you with this
and he did a little bit of life steal with it, so.
Very low damage though, for only...
Not nice.
Five points, oh sorry, eight points of damage to Berenth.
Oh, so many things.
I was about to say, why don't you, you know,
bump your allies, Xanthius, with your Cransteel powers,
but now that we've heard the second part of that...
No, I'm slightly corrupting you all.
Oh, really?
You see as well, so he would heal up a small amount of that.
You're gonna end up life stealing us, aren't you?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We were worried about Ophelia,
but it's really this sweet boy.
Should've seen it all along.
So the big tree person takes a step aside.
He turns round towards the sacred,
who's just sliced him and stolen some of his life force.
And you just hear this very deep resonant voice just,
you have broken your accord with my lady.
My fury will not be with strained.
As he gets the bow and pulls,
and you can see this is like a composite bow.
As muscles of leaves and vines.
like a composite bow, as muscles of leaves and vines,
as he launches a halting shot towards this fella.
Holy shit, I love this guy. That is gonna be a 19 to hit, which will hit.
For 13 points of damage.
Just fires a log.
You can see that that actolyte, the arrow, thuds in,
and it impales into his lower abdomen. Because it's a halting shot, his speed is now zero.
He can't move.
Oh, awesome.
As he just, as Berenth just, as this thick arrow
from his quiver just slams into him.
Give him a Barok high five. This thick arrow from his quiver just slams into him. And then he will, as a bonus action,
he will just kind of say,
those who have come to aid us,
let the blessing of Ulthae flow through you.
As you feel an invigoration,
he grants all of you
eight temporary hit points.
Oh!
That's actually, as you feel, again,
those little green motes of light seem to drift up
from the earth, and as they do, you feel vitality
and energy flow through you.
What a God King.
Better than me in every way, and that was on the sacred
that he just walloped, right?
Yes, it is now the sacred's turn.
God, give it a rest.
Just lay down and die.
I only have one point of fate.
His minion was too far away for him to heal from,
so he is going to turn on Daisy,
because Gruff looks quite scary and mean.
I am. He's going to turn on Daisy, and he's looks quite scary and mean.
He's gonna turn on Daisy and he's gonna try
and just slice her with his sacrificial knife.
That is gonna be a hit for 21 points of damage.
Yikes.
Wait, 21 points of damage?
Oh, sorry, no, 21 AC, sorry.
Oh, sorry.
What?
That is gonna be, sorry,'m managing a lot here guys,
10 slashing plus six necrotic.
Daisy will use uncanny dodge, I believe she has.
I'm pretty sure she has uncanny dodge,
yes, so she'll take half of that damage.
Yeah.
So that will become five slashing and then three necrotic.
So he only heals three, there's a lot of things going on.
Eight damage. So eight points of damage to Daisy.
But yeah, he does manage to get a swipe.
She tries to pull herself back,
but still gets nicked by the blade.
I know you're spinning a lot of plates.
Does Uncanny Dodge half necrotic damage?
It does, I believe.
I believe it just halves all damage.
Okay, neat.
In the current version of the rules, that's what it does.
Yeah, all right.
That is his action. He can't move currently.
So that's him done.
We then go to Gruff.
Hello.
Does anyone remember if Shilele was cast in the last game?
Last game? Last episode?
I think so, yes.
Because he made a joke about me doing Shilele.
Shakira, yeah.
Yes, Mark cast his least favorite spell in the game.
Ah.
Remember when you said,
"'Piece of shit, who cares?'
About Shalala?
No.
I don't remember that.
It was about the discussion about doing spells
and spells and spells.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You said Shalala.
Who the fuck cares?
So yes, yeah, you do have Shalala.
In which case, I will use my bonus action to trunk
to activate my Masterwork Shield.
Oh, and give Daisy some cover.
And give Daisy half cover.
Great, that's an extra plus two AC.
Yeah, so with a thunk, this kind of beautiful shield...
Fans out, yep.
And you can now sort of position yourself to give Daisy some cover.
I don't know if I need to cycle round.
No, because I think you would need to take a five foot step out
just to join her, I think.
I'll do that.
Technically, I think I was getting confused that you weren't there.
And then I'm going to whack with my staff, which is a 13 plus seven, so it's a dirty
20.
That hits.
And then I rolled an eight plus four.
12 points of damage.
12 points of damage.
Almost infused with the blessing of Alphite.
You would have... Oh, dear. So you've got your 10 per hit points.
Infused with this Primal Energy,
it's almost like the Shalali seems to be thicker and sturdier and stronger
as the energy slams down.
You hear bone crunch and snap.
You catch the guy on the shoulder and spine,
because as he's turned to stab Daisy,
and something breaks and he just collapses forward.
Oh, no! And he is done.
As he dies, the black flame on all of his minions' weapons
dies away.
Beautiful.
Hell yeah.
Just gruff stuff.
Anything else on your turn, Gruffeth?
That's me.
Rowan.
Rowan is going to put his hands wide,
then clap his hands super loud,
rippling those little geometric shapes
with a little glow and thunder clap.
Awesome.
2d6.
Do I need to...
Con15.
Con15.
Failure on the first.
Oh, natural 20 on the second, so it's a success,
so he will survive. 10 points to the other one. On 15, failure on the first. Oh, natural 20 on the second, so it's a success.
So he will survive.
10 points to the other one.
Instant smush.
And the guy's dead, so he can't heal off
one of his friends dying, so good order.
But yeah, one of them manages to sort of hunker down
and resist some of the blast.
You do see that as you do this, they kind of like realize
that the sacred has fallen.
The sacred! No!
As they sort of look in your direction.
But yeah, you annihilate one of these creatures,
one of these cultists.
Anything else on your turn, Rowan?
Who's looking bad?
Near me.
Near you?
I think everyone's kind of...
Does it need line of sight?
Oh, that one.
Probably me.
The vampy.
So you got some like... We're about the same. I think we're all about the same. need line of sight? Oh, that one. Probably me. The Vampiric.
You got some like...
We're about the same.
I think we're all about the same.
And you got some temp HP as well.
Yeah, I got some temp HP, yeah.
So if you want to heal yourself...
One, two, three, four, five, six.
Okay.
Three, four.
Three, four.
I don't know.
You set the rules.
Dan Pierce.
Hi.
You're getting a level two.
So 2d4 plus four.
Is he within range?
Is that this?
60 feet.
Yeah, 60 feet, yeah.
I'd say you can just about see him.
Nine points. Nine!
I'd say that Rowan would have to shift,
like you'd have to move like five feet back.
I'd have to shift.
You'd have to shift.
Shift.
Not my first rodeo.
No, shift five feet away.
But you say you don't provoke an opportunity attack, so.
Very well.
Anything else on your turn, Ron?
That is it.
Alright, at the very top of the round, it is this one acolyte left.
He's just gonna try and stab Ron.
Yeah.
That is a 15 to hit.
Yeah.
Two necrotic damage.
Enjoy that.
Oh wow, it's so sorry.
Doesn't have his buddies, doesn't have a magic weapon anymore.
What's that meme where they're just slowly doing their...
They just do the dance, they sort of move like that.
You do take a little nick, you know, on the side.
Oh!
And a sink.
But that's it for the acolytes.
Daisy is up next.
She is going to just throw a dagger...
Oh, that's ranged, isn't it?
Guy up in the tower.
Yeah, but I don't get sneak attack against him.
That's true.
My cover!
She will throw it at this acolyte next to Rowan.
Oh no, yeah, she'll stay next to you actually for the cover.
She'll stay next to you for the cover.
She'll just throw a knife at this remaining acolyte.
Nice.
Hits, he's a minion.
Dead. See ya.
Whips our blade. We've got a scout down on the floor Hits, he's a minion. Dead end. See ya. So who's there?
We've got a scout down on the floor,
next to Ophelia, and then this guy up in the tower,
who is in an interesting position.
I've got an idea for him, but it's gonna be very annoying.
So Daisy's, for her bonus action,
she is going to, you know what,
she's gonna move behind Gruff and take the hide action.
Yeah.
As a bonus action, yeah, so she's like at a 25 stealth
right now, in behind Gruff.
The scouts go next, so the guy on the floor
is gonna stand up, looking quite beaten up.
Boot on his neck?
Yeah, but it's for flavor.
Yeah, it was for flavor, yeah, so it wasn't a full grapple,
but he's gonna kind of like shove you off of Fila
and kind of get to his feet. He doesn't have a full grapple, but he's gonna kind of like shove you off of Fela and kind of get to his feet.
He doesn't have a bayonet, so he just pulls like a knife,
and he's kind of pulls it in that military
sort of backwards grip, Leon style,
and he's just, he's gonna have to try and fight you off.
Like, he can see that he's kind of a bit screwed here.
Oh, no.
They've seen the sacred die.
He's gonna disengage, and he jumps down this trap door.
Ooh!
He backs off, he fends you off, gets to an edge,
he hops down, grabs on, and then scurries down
and runs off somewhere beneath.
Motherfucker.
This scout on the tower is going to move over here,
and he's gonna kick the ladder down.
And then he's gonna move up.
He's just gonna stay up there forever.
Is that the plan?
He's gonna shoot Rowan.
I'm the tower guy.
He's gonna shoot Rowan.
Yep, oh does he regenerate his ricochet shot?
Well we're gonna go under the tower.
Time for a seat. He does.
This one guy.
So he'll shoot Gruff and Daisy
because he's got, oh he can't see Daisy.
All right, he'll just shoot Roman.
He might have Line of Sight on me,
but I'll have Mega Cover.
12?
12 hits.
Yay!
On the moon.
10 points of piercing damage.
Hey.
He's just like, It's a piercing damage. Oh. Twink. Hey. Oh! That's not fair.
He's just like, oh, look at the ladder.
Oh, come on.
Yeah.
Wow.
OK.
Is that how you want to play this?
Is this what we're doing now?
Is this who we are?
I will never surrender.
OK.
You're going to run out of bolts, my guy.
Athena's going to be pissed that that guy's run off.
Yeah.
She's gonna sprint, oh she's seen the guys.
Oh, you're gonna go after him
or you're gonna go after the guy up in the tower?
Do I go after him?
Yeah.
Oh, but also I can get to the tower.
Leave no survivors.
I can get to the tower though.
It's up to you.
It's entirely up to you.
Oh, but theement has mysteries.
Basement does have mysteries.
Not to flavor it further, he was bleeding a lot.
He was bleeding a lot.
This guy's uninjured, by the way.
Yeah.
Little blood trail.
I'll go in the trap door.
Okay, I mean you can just climb down it, right?
So he would have got five,
and then it would have been difficult terrain for him,
so it would have taken him,
he's at the bottom of the set,
he's about 10 feet down the corridor,
and then he would have action,
oh no, he'd action disengaged.
So he's only like 10 feet away from the tower,
and it looks like he's running towards,
you can see this is clearly like a sub-level
of what would have once been the keep in the Citadel here,
and you can see that there's not much of it,
a lot of it's collapsed in,
but there's a long corridor that extends maybe 60, 80 feet,
and there's rooms off to the side on either side.
And it looks like he's running for one of those rooms.
But he glances back and he's like,
get away, I won't let you have our secrets.
And he's holding the knife out to you.
Why do you have to say that?
Oh.
You have secrets, bro?
Yeah. Oh, so you do have secrets. Oh. You have secrets, bro? Yeah.
Oh, so you do have secrets.
They're in panic mode, yeah, exactly.
So you can easily get to him with your extended movement.
In fact, you can just walk down the ladder.
Yeah, you just get next to him.
In the dark.
It is dark down here as well.
There's only just a faint bit of light
coming from the trap door.
So all your night vision and your rage vision.
Can he see me?
He can just barely see you at the moment. You're just a silhouette coming down the trap door, so all your night vision and your rage vision. Can he see me? He can just barely see you at the moment.
You're just a silhouette coming down the trap door.
But also you could run along the wall.
Do we run up on the ceiling?
Yeah, exactly, cause you're like,
oh, what abomination are you?
Yeah, running along the ceiling,
and I'm gonna just get above him.
Yeah.
Tell me what you're doing here or I might let you live.
Oh, give me an intimidation roll.
I'll let you have advantage given your situation.
Yeah, what is that?
Could spend a fate.
I was too late now.
Nine.
Only a nine.
Yeah.
He says, I will never betray the descendants.
I am a reclaimer.
So we've got the name wrong.
I will soon see what you really are.
And then can I?
Yeah, I'll say that was a free action.
I'll just fall down on him and just bite him.
Just do a bite.
Go for it.
Yeah. Love it.
Yeah.
Reckless.
Yeah, reckless bite.
Falling down from a ceiling sounds pretty reckless to me.
Yeah. Let's go.
24. Hits.
And I would like to...
You can spend your blood points and stuff.
Spend my blood points, yeah.
Make that bite big. Big, big bite.
Big, big bite.
Are you gonna actually physically bite him
or are you using veracity?
Or are you gonna actually just go for the old f you going to actually just go for the old fangs?
I'm going for the old fangs.
Yeah, why not?
I'm going to regain my hit points.
Yeah.
Well.
Yeah, very true.
So four plus two.
Oh my god, one, two, three damage.
Plus what's the, are you going to spend a blood point,
did you say?
Yes, so I could do a D6.
Yeah.
Oh my god, another one.
Oh no.
Four points of damage.
So maybe it's like you bite into him
but he quickly shoves you off,
you don't get that suck, you know.
Yeah.
And he's got the knife,
and now you're sort of in this CQC tight corridor.
You know, these corridors are barely about 10 feet tall,
so like, you know, real close and up next to him.
Yeah.
But yeah.
Can I bonus action form of dread?
Just to make it even worse for this guy.
Do you want to have done that before you attacked
because then your thing triggers, right?
Or does it trigger anyway?
Uh. The fright effect.
It triggers when I attack.
Yeah, so do you want to technically do that
before you attack?
Ah, you know, could do, yeah, for flavor,
just to really fuck him up.
All right.
So wisdom saving three.
19. Yeah, so that's fine. That's right. So wisdom saving three. 19.
Yeah, that's fine.
So yeah, I mean it makes sense
that he'd already resisted the intimidation as well.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right, cool.
Anything else?
I'm just gonna stay with this guy.
Yeah, Azanthias.
It's like trying to get a straw into a cat prescient.
You just kind of like.
I'm a xenomorph.
This guy, hey, he's holding a siege up there.
That kind of fucking sucks.
Oh, Ronan, don't forget, on your turn,
you would have gained another 10 HP from Penelope's Aura.
Does it stack or does it just go up to 10?
It's, oh no, Penelope's Aura is normal healing.
It's like 10 HP of healing.
It was Baranth who did the 10th HP.
Marvelous.
This guy.
Yes.
Where's he looking right now? He just shot at Rowan, so he's looking down this guy. Yes. Where's he looking right now?
He just shot at Rowan, so he's looking down this way.
Cool.
It'd be a shame if someone thunderstepped
right up to him, wouldn't it?
Yeah.
Which is what I want to do.
There's no one in the room with me.
I guess everything in 10 feet of this room
is about to get blasted by thunder.
Okay, so it won't hit Daisy and Gruff,
who are on the bottom, so you're high enough up.
Yep, okay.
I want to thunderstep behind this guy.
Nothing personal, kid.
Which is a full action, yeah, teleports behind you.
And if there's something I can do in his surprise
to just prod him off the edge, I'd like to.
It's an action, I'm afraid that even a devil's bargain,
I'm not gonna let you have another free action.
Fair enough.
In that case, bony action.
I would use my flame breath, didn't I?
You did. You did.
Didn't I? Didn't I?
Bones.
That is my turn, I'm just here behind him.
A boo. Okay, all right.
Nice. I say.
After Xanthias, it is Penelope in Baranth.
So Penelope is gonna maintain concentration on her aura.
So anybody within 10 feet at the start of their turn
will gain 10 HP if you step next to her.
She can't do much else while she's channeling that ability.
She will, nope, that's all she's gonna do.
She will just sort of stand there
hoping Baranth is gonna stand behind her.
I mean, he's gonna take a shot up this guy.
He does have quite a good cover from the shot,
but he's gonna have the three-quarters cover
because of the, what do they call it,
crenellations.
Yeah.
So this is a plus five to his AC,
but let's see if Baranth can hit.
Ooh, maybe.
Yes, he does.
19, just barely beats it even with the cover.
So this giant arrow kind of,
maybe distracted by you teleporting behind him.
Baranth's arrow does strike
for a total of eight points of damage to him.
First damage, the scout's taken.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's kinda caught up on the chin by the large arrow.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's caught up on the chin by the large arrow
You cannot stay there forever
After that, he's dead. Gruff.
And then Rowan. And then maybe we'll take a break.
Daisy to go into the building and cover herself
And then can I move up to Penelope and provide her with cover?
Yep, you gain 10 HP.
Oh, what a lovely human being.
Um, gnome. What a lovely gnome.
Goblin.
Goblin.
Do you want to retake that entire...
What a lovely goblin.
There it is.
Perfect. That's the one.
I'm not gonna...
No.
There it is. Perfect. That's the one. I'm not going to. No.
And then I think I might cast a little moonbeam.
Ooh!
Because I can do it without clipping that one.
Yep, and without clipping you or Rowan.
Yeah, because it's a five-foot radius.
Yep.
So let's do it. Let's do it.
You basically put it on, like, the corner of the tower here
and catch him.
So can I have a constitution saving through 15, please?
You may. Fail.
So 2d10. What's a d10?
Just roll it twice.
I rolled an 8 on 1, and I'm guessing that's a 1 on the other.
What was it, 0?
It's a 1, 0.
That's 1. Yeah.
So 8, 9 points of radiant damage.
Nine points of damage.
Yeah, takes a full amount, just,
so he's being shot by this arrow
and then being blasted from above
by this beam of moonlight.
And you see Berant sort of turns to you, Graf,
seeing you channel this primal magic
and just inclines the head in a very respectful way.
magic and just inclines the head in a very respectful way.
I feel the power of Ulthae from you, friend.
You have my trust. Goes back to her.
Anything else on your turn, Gruff?
No, not me.
That's you, Rowan.
Rowan.
So technically Ophelia is down here at the moment.
Can he see this fella?
Yeah, you can see him.
He's got three quarters cover,
so he has a quite heavy cover.
If you move round to the side that you-
Pivot round.
Yeah, you can pivot round to like here.
Pivot round.
Pivot.
Use Vicious Tone.
Pivot.
Vicious Tone.
Oh yes.
This is my Vicious Mockery.
Yeah. Let's save 15. Save yes. This is my vicious mockery. System save 15.
So 15, fail.
Cool, simple 2D4 damage.
It all works.
Five.
Five points of damage.
He's looking rough.
Cool.
He's like holding his head so he's been shot,
he's been blasted from above now,
he's got this ringing in his ears.
Okay. Starting to regret his decision.
I shout to Xanthius.
Yes.
You can just jump down.
It's gonna be fine.
Oh yeah.
When you're done.
Yeah sure.
All right.
Maybe we can rush through.
We can rush through a turn, can't we?
Yes.
So Daisy is going to, you know what?
Daisy is going to move in action
and then bonus action dash up to the top
and is gonna try and throw a knife at this guy.
Yeah, all right, do it.
Does have the extra cover, but she might get lucky.
Which she does.
22, even with his cover, still hits.
And this is there, so he gets the sneak attack.
Yeah.
Plus four, that's gonna be 12.
16 points of damage.
Hell yeah.
Which is enough.
So you watch us kind of sniping him
through the little crenellations.
Daisy kind of gets up and she's like.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.
Oh, just slabs into this guy.
Yeah, I'll jump down Rowan, his body falls down instead.
Ah!
But yeah, Daisy just absolutely snipes him.
Yes!
Does a little fist pump.
Yeah.
After Daisy, the only thing we have is the combat down
in the corridors.
Oh, yeah, of course.
The daredevil flashing red light in the darkness.
He's gone full John Wick, he's got this knife,
he's trying to engage with you now.
He's gonna use his exploit opening to get advantage,
and he's gonna attack you with his dagger.
And I'm reckless as well.
Oh, he's reckless, so he doesn't even need to use it.
No, he doesn't need to.
Is he in dim light though?
He's in dim light, yeah.
Okay, does that affect, it doesn't affect him.
It doesn't affect attack rolls, so it's a fake perception. If he was in dim light, yeah. Okay, it doesn't affect, it doesn't affect him. It doesn't affect attack rolls, it just affects perception.
If he was in total darkness, like right now he has enough light coming from the roof,
like the trap door being open.
That is gonna be 20 to hit.
Yep.
But he's only gonna get his D6 of damage here.
That is however gonna be nine points of piercing damage, so half that to four for your rage.
Like, kind of swipes at you.
He can't move away. Does he risk an Attack of Opportunity?
I think he does. He's gonna risk an Attack of Opportunity.
Really? He like swipes at you and then he throws himself back
and he makes a run for one of these rooms.
Oh, okay. A secret room.
So, attack. Could he Reckless on this?
You know. Unfortunately, it's on your turn you can choose to use Reckless on this? You know, unfortunately it's on your turn
you can choose to use Reckless
and then it doesn't apply to attacks for opportunity, I think.
I think.
You could have added a fate though, remember.
18. 18 hits.
Amazing.
Get him, get him.
And I'm gonna use a Crimson Fury point
for an extra D6 of damage.
Nice.
So that is four, five, six, seven, eight damage to Rachel.
Eight points of damage.
That was this guy at the top, wasn't it?
It was, yeah.
So, as he turns, he gets the swipe, he turns,
he gets a few steps ahead,
and I imagine, very Castlevania, you run after him.
Naruto run arms behind you.
Like Castlevania.
Skin shrink wrapping that he does.
The form of dread.
Well no, because they, I think Camilla,
they do it like that.
She does the whole like, Naruto.
They do like a walk down.
You run up on the wall, run up to the other side of the wall,
he turns one way, you're not there, he turns,
and then your face, and then you just plunge Verasty
into him, and just collapses as you are now
in the full darkness of this tunnel,
just with his body, his fresh blood-filled body, Ophelia.
Ophelia's gonna take a little dranky drink.
No one else is around.
I was gonna ask, can you opportunistically tank body?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, cool, I was just wondering.
But I like to imagine that,
obviously this isn't using your ability,
but this is just a feeding in general.
Yeah.
How dry do you drain this guy?
Because obviously as a vampire,
you can choose, you can feed on him
until there is no blood left.
I want to go till full.
Until you're full.
So yeah.
All right, so it won't be your hit points.
No, so this wouldn't be like,
this would just be for the flavor of like feeding a hunger.
Just because it's been so long.
Yeah, so.
He's just gonna indulge.
Yeah, so I think before we take the break,
the last thing we see is in that cinematic corridor,
the dark lighting, you finish plunging.
He's like gurgling, like,
and then you just,
into his neck, and we just watch as you drink and drink and drink,
his body and his skin becoming tight and disaccaded.
And his skin, his eyeballs shrinking
as all the blood in his body is sucked dry.
Just this red corridor.
And then we just see the body fall from your arms
as for the first time in so long, Ophelia, you feel sated,
so deliciously full and what rich blood it was.
As this body just slumps to the ground,
your chin and mouth is just covered in it
and all down the front of your top and everything.
It's real messy. Just messy.
Just savaged into.
And that's the thing, that's the image we'll see
before we go to break.
So cool.
Tis the season.
But congratulations.
We're heroes.
Yes.
We will see you in part two everybody.
We're gonna take a short break now,
but see you in part two.
And yeah, we'll continue this on.
See you in a bit.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye!
