Tim's new scrambled egg loaded croissant.
Or is it croissant?
No matter how you say it.
Start your day with freshly cracked scrambled eggs loaded on a buttery, flaky croissant.
Try it with maple brown butter today at Timms,
at participating restaurants in Canada for limited time.
And there's normally a lot of TTRPG stuff and board game.
of fun stuff, go see all the cosplayers.
Lots of fun things to do.
But so that is all you need.
You only need the ticket to the con itself,
either a weekend or Saturday ticket.
We will be there on Saturday.
Also, to mention that going live tomorrow from 3pm,
that you will be able to reserve seats
for the live show on this end stage.
Tomorrow?
Yes.
September, not tomorrow.
September.
Oh, that's, I saw the date.
is you're right, it is in September
that that link goes live, not
tomorrow. If you're normally, it's
because I saw the, I think it is literally
the 25th or 26th in
September, and I just saw
the day and was like, tomorrow.
No, September. But there will be
a seat reservation link that you'll be able to use
then. Right, that is MCM
Comic Con. Next, Bristol Live show.
Haunted Tides and
terrible tales.
Our Halloween Bristol

Peepers peels.
Peel them.
Peel them. On our social medias and on the Discord
and things like that for that link when it goes up.
It will then be available to the general public
later in the week.
So keep those.
Peepers peop for then.
We're also going to have some special guests
at our Bristol show.
Who that?
Who that?
You can announce it now?
You might be, I think I can.
We've told it's been officially said they're in.
You might be thinking, it'll be one of the,
their friends from the Oxcast? No. You might be thinking...
Ian McKellen? You're thinking it's Ian McKellon? No.
It's not Ian McKellon. You might be thinking it's Jasper. No. In fact,
you would never have guessed them in a million years. Can I guess? Yes.
Is it the longest Johns? It is, in fact.
Folk musicians, the longest Johns. Now, if you don't know the longest Johns,
they are folk musicians who specialize in sea shanties. A few of them have done things
along with the jingle jam, which is how we've got to know them. They are lovely chaps.
Super lovely and quite popular in the old folk music scene
and they do a lovely job
and we're going to make sure that they have a lovely time
and are integrated into the theme of the adventures as well.
But yeah, we'll be joined by the longest John,
so you get to have that as well.
That'll be a perfect time to come down in your spooky attire
and sing along to some sea shanties
as our Halloween live show,
Haunted Tides and Terrible Tales.
Can you imagine, right?
I know some people are wanting to do amazing Halloween outfits,
but what if everyone did the bed sheet eye holes?
The whole audience is there?
The whole audience.
Yes.
They're all just little ghosts.
Yeah.
A whole audience of ghosts.
Yep.
White sheets, like maybe, I don't know.
Is that still done today?
What's wrong with white sheets?
With eye holes?
The hats are the problem, right?
That's true, that's true.
As long as this is a very rounded head.
Yeah, yeah.
Rounded head.
The classic Halloween ghost.
The classic Halloween ghost.
What if everyone just came in a spooky skeleton mask?
That's lame.
That's lame.
Better bedchie ghosts.
Do an awesome outfit that, yeah.
Just go to town.
Go to town.
That's what we do want.
We want a nice spooky, perhaps a spooky pirate or a spooky...
Spooky ghost.
An Alphan character.
All Percy's.
To be honest, Percy is the default, right?
You just get yourself a black hood and a skull.
face, Percy.
How many Persies can we get in my eyes?
How many Persies can we get?
That is what I want to know.
So many Percy's.
So many Percy's.
I want Bristol to think that a cult is happening.
A nice cult.
A nice cult.
A good spooky cult.
A satanic cult.
A good old satanic cult.
That's what we want.
Summoning demons and shit.
That's what we want to see.
But yes, that is ween in Bristol at St. George's.
tickets this week. Keep those.
Peepers peeper. There's a little people. A little peeper.
There's only a small people. A mini people.
Also, a very quick reminder that we have our Discord live shows all the way down.
All the way down, baby. A quick reminder about the Discord live show.
We will talk about that more in the future as well. It's happening in London on Friday the 28th of November.
It's another big live show. We've got Andy from Oxventure GMing it. I'm going to be playing as we play through the Discord
T-R-P-G, thanks to Modifius and A-G.
That is all in partnership.
So go and check that out.
I believe tickets are available now.
Yeah.
Go and check that out.
Also, if you live near London
and Fancy Pop Along to World's Lair this week,
that's a fantasy event happening on the South Bank.
I will be there with our good pal Jaspah Cartwright
on Thursday the 28th.
That's literally this coming Thursday.
I'm doing a panel during the day
and a live show in the evening for the Rotating Heroes podcast.
You can also, I was given some codes
that will give you a big old disc.
for you to use.
Love a discount.
They're very simple.
So if you're unsure about going, you can use World's Lair,
just all in caps, one word,
for a dawn or dusk single session ticket,
or full day, for the all day ticket,
and I believe they are quite heavily discounted
to encourage people to come along.
So if you're sort of on the fence and you're like,
well, maybe, why not use that code and pop along?
I think he's also running a competition at the moment
where he is running a competition.
Go check out Jasper's socials.
Yes.
Check out Jasper's socials.
But if you'd like to pop along,
I will be there on the Thursday.
It will be a lovely time.
Merch, there's a bunch of new merch.
Merch. We talk about it a lot.
You've got the Harps Corps collab.
We've got the new merch on the store.
We've got the bags.
You've got the T-shirts.
It's a great way to support us.
You can get yourself some lovely wooden accessories.
Kim.
We'll talk more.
We'll do that again in the next episode.
Just on this Hark's Core stuff,
James from Harts Corps,
checked in with me this week to say he apologizes.
There was a little error on the website last week,
so some of your orders may not have gone through.
You would have known, you'll have known if it didn't.
If that's the case, he's fixed the error,
so everything is available to order once again.
It should be a smooth experience to get your dice towers,
your coasters, your chronicles, your chronicle.
Your chronicle.
Your D20 lamp.
It's all there.
Cronclure.
I love my cronclure.
It's my favorite thing, my favorite Pokemon, croncler.
Crunkler, gronclare, grancler.
But yeah, enjoy it.
Stommy egg.
Sorry, that's very much an in joke.
But with that, that is it for the announcements.
I know it's a lot of live shows.
We got a lot of stuff coming up.
Keep those peepers peeled.
We got a lot more stuff coming up over the next couple of months.
There's going to be a lot of sponsored one shots.
There's a lot of stuff coming.
Oh, yeah, bees.
A lot of live shows.
We're very busy bees.
But hey, if you want to see us and the longest johns all in one go.
No, you can.
Ween.
Ween.
Come along to the ween.
Right, with that, let's jump in.
into the intro and get today's episode rolling.
Air conditioner, please.
I can't hear it.
Thank you.
Why is he so good at that?
Welcome back to Althea the Dragon Empire.
Our heroes concluded their investigations
in the village of netting on sea.
After discovering it had housed a cult of the embered goddess Ojanja
who had attempted to work with the twisted champion Agamox,
doom claw. They learned of a seaside cave hidden in the rocks along the coast. They searched this
watery den and found a hidden shrine. But traps had been laid and as they looked into a pool of
water, something appeared to reach back and attempted to ensorsel some of the party. Quick
thinking from Gruffath of Tremoro destroyed the pool and a lucky search from Mateo gave them
clues they needed to guide their next steps of their journey.
Now, they set sail for the waters around Twin Peak Isle to search for a lost sunken
warship hidden with an immense underwater forest, known as the Blood Kelp Forest.
And that, my friends, is where we pick things back up today, with Obsidius having just sent
Xanthius a message.
He's very nicely avoiding that situation.
Tom Hazel has sent me a WhatsApp just says, hi.
Hi, Tom.
Hi Tom.
How you feel better, Tommy?
That might have been in character.
I think that might have been in character, yes.
Now obviously, this only goes straight to Xanthius.
So he does not, you do not know yet.
What I will say is for the audience's view and pleasure,
and I have sent this to Tom already, but he receives another sentence.
shortly after his response.
I will remind you as well, Xanthius had said,
obsidious, yeah, however, investigation was flawed.
Find the commander and they will explain,
authorita is in over their head and no one will listen to them.
It was a good reply.
It was strong.
Tom is texting me again.
Hi, Rowan, Daisy, Ophelia, and Daddy.
She liked that a bit too much
From a cinematic perspective
We see Xanthius' mind
As this message comes into his head again
And the response, the new sending spell he receives
And I will allow Tom to construct a response to text to me
For both our sake, I hope you are right
this authoritor seems a stubborn dog
shall seek this commander for answers.
Pray I find them satisfactory.
Are we saying pray like P-R-A-Y or P-R-E-Y?
That is certainly, the spelling is not conferred as part of the spell.
However, so perhaps we see Xanthius go a bit quiet.
as he receives this message.
But yeah, the rest of you, you have sailed.
If you didn't take a long rest, make sure that you do,
because this journey does take at least a day and a bit over the sea.
Make sure that you have had that long rest.
Swap out any spells as well that you would like to swap out.
Those of you who are capable, which I believe is just gruff.
As you have been traveling aboard the sunkissed with Sir Joran and Mateo,
towards a place called Twin Peak Isle.
What began as a small point on the horizon
has grown larger as you sail towards it,
two giant green peaks reaching up to the sky
like a pair of draconic horns
on a lush island with steep cliffs and hills all over it.
A crescent moon-shaped bay is cut away into the bulk of the landmass,
and you can see small figures of shepherds,
ships far off, sailing on the other side of the island, avoiding the direction you are
approaching entirely.
We're here, Sir Joran says.
And you see that from this point, and you are still miles and miles from this aisle, but you
see that the water begins to take on a different hue, a dark stain of red and purple,
as though an Empress's ransom of dye was spilled into the sea.
Glancing over the sides of the sunkist, below the rolling waves,
you can see the tips of gently swaying fronds of a vast blanket of underwater flora kelp
that stretches for miles and miles in directions.
All of it, this deep blood run.
red. And with the light diffused from the sun and the water, it creates this almost stained
water effect, completely changing the color of the water all around it. And it is vast and deep.
Certainly more than enough to conceal an enormous sunken ship, but more than that,
likely it could hide caves, it could hide, you know, it is a thick, verdant forest under the sea at this point.
So Joran will just sort of nod as he begins prepping anchor,
or at least holding the ship, maybe not dropping anchor just yet,
but he begins sort of like pulling in the sails and getting ready to hold ship.
So you can decide what you would like to do next.
Well, this is the blood kelp.
It begins here, it stretches all the way to Twin Peak,
and it goes for miles in all directions.
It's much bigger than I thought it would be.
It goes on for ages.
It's like ancient Yotney a saying.
It's like finding a pebble in a pebble barrel.
Is that a saying?
Yeah.
Oh.
Is that why you like pebbles quite alone?
No.
Was there any other pebbles?
It correlates, but...
Why would you have pebbles in a barrel?
For your...
When you want to collect pebbles in a barrel.
Oh, okay.
Do you have a collection?
Of course. I've got several barrels.
Wow, several.
Yeah.
Trying to find my favorite pebble in there.
That was bad.
It's the same.
Obviously, the barrel is not on your person.
No, no.
That would be ridiculous.
It's back to my ornate painting, right?
Let's not talk about ornate paintings that are definitely not on people's bodies.
They are safely back at the inn, where is the only logical place they could be.
Right, anyway.
How will we even begin looking for?
A ship is big, but this is an enormous place.
I have an idea.
I'm not entirely sure if this would work, but I have an idea.
I was going to suggest that I cast water breathing on you all,
and perhaps, or I go down as a sea beastie,
have a swim around, see what I can scalp from a general area.
And then I believe I might, if I could find a central spot,
I might commune and see if I can ask the spirits of Althei to help me out.
So when you say central spot, as I said, this place is miles and miles.
It is like saying, I'm going to go to the centre of big wood,
you know, like a large stretch of forestland.
It is very, this is...
A vast expanse of area.
Yes, Rowan.
Maybe we could split up.
I can also connect with the land.
Oh.
So if I'm water breathing,
you could go to one section of this place,
I could go to another,
and we see if we feel anything,
or at least can get the history of this place.
Some clues or something.
Whether a ship came through and, you know, that sort of thing.
Something that points us in the right direction, at least.
we're going to vague something
Daisy
I think
we're going to get lost in the big
Kelpie forest if we separate
too much because
it's really close together
it's quite a lot
they're really tall maybe it's not as bad
for Rowan but I'm quite small
I just don't think I'm going to find you again
if I see you could you disappear
I think we need like a system
it's very difficult to see because obviously the
is moving, but when you, like, this, the glimpses of it you have, you don't see the bottom,
like, you just see the tips of these fronts. Like, this is very vast, very dense, as
Stacey said. Like, it is, it is navigating a jungle, essentially, where else you are down there.
I do think that that's two opportunities of different ways that we could try it, though.
Maybe we go down and find a place and do one of them, and then if we don't get anything,
we move to a different place, and we try the other one.
Yes, we could do that. That's a good idea.
Just so that we don't, I just don't want to get lost in a kelpie forest.
I wasn't going to suggest we split up at just, you know, maybe one dive and then that's it, that sort of thing.
Yeah.
Right.
I would be, the other thing I would caution is that, obviously this is, we know that these champions,
I believe that this champion choral song is in here somewhere, but there are creatures of Ojania, there are deep sea creatures, there are other things that, like,
in places like this.
I would certainly advise not going down solo
just because if you were ambushed,
there would be very little for the rest of us to do.
True.
Very difficult for the rest of us to come to your raid
if you are attacked.
In reeds like this, you get predatory fish.
The size and scale of this place like this.
You've got to imagine it's a big fish
that you've got to worry about.
Did I mention I didn't really want to eat seafood for?
a little bit. No, you did mention that, I remember, yes. I'm feeling quite the same.
Yeah.
But certainly if you think that you have a way of communing with the land, Gruff,
that seems like a very wise idea. But you may need to get down to the soil, to the sand,
to the silt of the fall. This isn't a deep trench. This isn't, you know,
you're not going to be going down thousands and thousands of feet, but it is deep.
That's what I figured, yeah.
Yes, Rowan.
I can also create things.
Yes.
I once saw this contraption.
I'm not sure how it works,
but you can put people in it,
and then they go under, and they can still breathe.
Right.
Are you trying to suggest you would like to use your creation magic
to make a submarine?
No, a diving bell.
Oh, a diving bell? Okay, yeah.
A one person or two-person diving bell.
The only thing is, I don't think you would be able to connect
because, like, the hose would it have to extend all the way up to the top for fresh air?
We'd have to find something to attach to...
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
You could make something like, you could make a hollow shape that has people in it
and has a limited supply of air in it.
You have a limited capacity of air for yet.
But you also have, like, water breathing in to Bell.
Bell asks for a whole day.
That's probably more effective.
Do we know how the glory of Palladrax sunk?
if it would
if it maybe hit sharp rocks or something
maybe that would narrow down the church.
It was attacked by the giants
as I understand the story
it was it was a skirmish
between a giant ship
and the glory of paraguags
it suffered you know
it was damaged badly
started taking on water
they were trying to get it back to shore
but it went down
nobody knows what happened
any record of it
you know a lot of the stories
are based on you know
handed down reports of
you know, people that say they could see it
and things like that, or people that were in the battle
but not on the glory, things like that.
Details are few and far between,
but as last we know, it was attacked by a giant ship
and went down then.
So it has to be at least deep enough
for a giant ship to be nearby it?
Well, if it was sunk here,
I'm not sure if it sunk here,
as in was attacked here.
I think it did sail some ways
before it fully sank.
But it was near here at least.
Okay.
But it is deep.
It will certainly be deep enough
for the hull of a giant ship
to pass through here.
You're talking a good few hundred,
hundred feet deep.
But we're not talking
the lightless depths
that Ojanja calls a domain.
Rowan.
Are there mechanics?
This is not Rowan.
Chris Trott.
We're out of RP.
Okay.
Out of RP right now.
Yes.
Do you have to worry about
our nitrous,
dioxide levels and getting the bends.
Oh, yeah.
Thankfully, the magic of the water breathing spell
protects you from such things.
From pressure. Yeah, great.
It's a great spell.
Yeah, it's magic.
That's magic. It's great.
It's why you can go to very deep parts of the sea
with the water breathing spell on,
although you might take cold damage.
Okay.
Okay.
If you go super deep.
Good to know.
But yes, we're not going to worry about nitrous oxide
or the bends or...
Crushing.
Yeah, crushing. If you go deep enough, yeah,
crushing and cold would be the two biggest threats.
But the magic kind of protects your inner organs and systems and things like that.
Not only does it help you breathe water, it helps you adapt to.
Nitrous oxide in your blood.
Yeah.
Not, don't have to worry about that.
No.
Cool.
Is nitrous oxide even a thing in Althea?
It should be.
Does it have to be?
Carbon-based cre- What, is that air you're breathing now?
It's not called air and Althea.
It's called windy stuff.
Oxenium.
No, it's not, I'm like that.
But just point in the point out there,
we can't bring in real world logic.
No, all the time.
Is it down up?
Is there gravity?
I know.
I know, Kung Fu.
But no.
So, yeah, the water reading spell
will protect you from things like that,
but yes, cold, pressure.
Obviously, the spell lasts 24 hours.
Being underwater when the spell goes.
Pretty bad.
You will also need to remember that if you do not have a swimming speed,
your movement is halved, and also any combat rakes you make,
it depends on the weapon you are using.
So like trying to throw a dagger underwater, always a disadvantage.
If you try and melee attack with a dagger, no disadvantage.
You can do that normally.
Trying to swing a great sword underwater, disadvantage.
Firing a crossbow underwater, though, no disadvantage.
Like, certain weapons are good for certain things.
What if I load a crossbow with the dagger?
No.
Not does, what would happen there is the crossbow,
the thing would launch and the dagger would go,
and then...
Would that sound?
Yeah.
But you can't hear on the water.
So that's the other thing as well,
is don't forget, like, whilst you can breathe water,
speaking at any distance, you can,
if you're next to each other,
you can speak and hear each other normally,
but speaking over a distance,
distance, like you can't shout, like it just becomes muffled.
I have to do wail speak.
Or knock on things.
Or do hand signals.
Well, I can literally, I can telepathically connect with you.
There's gotta be another way.
Um,
in which case, Gruffeth, I've just learned about the intricacies
of deep diving and what we, you were just standing there.
And oxygen, which is not on this planet.
Okay.
Either way.
How about there are predators out there.
We've just learned that from Sir Joran.
Bad things.
What if we protected those that dived with some sort of cage?
Does the cage have a door?
No.
So otherwise the sharks will get in or whatever.
Why do we get out?
They'll open the door.
How do you get out?
You get pulled back out.
I don't like the idea of being stuck in the cage.
Sir Joran, do we have a long, long rope on board?
I've got the anchor chain, but that's the longest.
I guess I've got, it's the only thing that will take us down far enough.
I create a cage on the bottom of the anchor,
fit for two, three, four people.
Okay.
Right.
And then we are in that.
We're protected from any external creatures that might attack us.
We can't get out.
But we...
But then how do we get in?
We get in before it plummets.
There is a door.
We lock it.
Oh.
And then what do we do when we're down there?
down there.
Look, that's when we do our homonist recall or our commune.
Right.
And we can do it without the idea of being attacked.
Just in a cage?
Yes.
It's a little terrifying a concept, I know,
but also getting attacked at random,
surrounded by kelp.
At least you'd have a barrier with which to react first.
I see the logic.
That makes sense.
Yes.
Well, Groff, it's your expedition, it's your quest.
How do you want us to proceed?
Are you gonna travel down there?
and search the Blood Kelp Forest?
Or do you want me to tail, sort of follow along up here with the boat?
You tell me how you want to progress with this.
Mechanically, what I will tell you for this is,
you have no idea.
This commune might give you a location.
You're still gonna have to travel there,
and you're still gonna have to navigate it.
So you can attempt to sort of like find it
and then come back up to the surface, sail the boat,
and then drop down.
Or you can go,
down and start searching it from the ground level.
There might be more clues if you actually search through the blood kelp forest,
that you might find things that will show hints of where they might be or, like,
show the direction.
But obviously there's the risk that you might encounter something.
This will be basically an exploration challenge, so similar to, like, the travel rules.
You have to make, like, checks to, like, keep a lookout for stuff and make guided survival
checks to make sure you don't get lost and turned around and things like that.
So, yeah, my intention wasn't to just, like, cast it.
it now immediately. I had decided that maybe we'd get a bit more in, because I imagine we're
just on the edge of it as well. Yeah, you're right on the edge. A bit more in. So when I said
like in the center of it, I meant more like surrounded by it. Yeah. Sure, sure, so sure.
Help in all directions. Yeah. Help as far as I can see. Um, sorry. I hate myself.
And then, yeah, the idea of like casting water breathing and then somehow we'll go down. And then
Yeah, I just had this idea that Gruff would cast it.
Like, having a quick look around, like you say,
see if there's any other clues,
and at least cast one version of the spell
to get an initial ping, as it were.
Can you read out?
Is it commune with nature you want to cast?
I've got commune with nature.
Yeah, do you want to read that out,
and let's just see the effects and ranges and stuff like that?
Instantaneous casting time is one minute.
You commune with nature spirits
and gain knowledge of the surrounding area.
In the outdoors, the spell gives you knowledge
of the area within three miles of you.
In caves and other natural underground settings,
the radius is 300 feet.
The spell doesn't function
where nature has been replaced by construction
such as castles and settlements.
Choose three of the following facts.
You learn them as they pertain to the spell's area.
Location of settlements.
Location of portals to other planes of existence.
Location of one challenge rating 10 plus creature,
DM's choice that is celestial and elemental,
a fay, an undead, or a fiend.
The most prevalent kind of plant,
mineral or beast, you can choose which.
Locations of bodies water.
So yeah, ask that one.
I'm sensing something.
So three miles won't cover all of the blood kelp forest,
but like if you can get in and you get further in,
that would cover a good chunk of the central region for sure.
Nice.
So yeah, it sounds like a pretty useful spell.
Yeah, and I was thinking I'd go for the location of a creature,
like a challenge rating creature.
It's very specific types of creature though.
Yeah, well it doesn't say you have to choose one of those types.
It's just all those.
It had to be one of those categories.
Yeah.
I'm saying if it doesn't fall into one of those categories,
if Coral Song is not one of those creatures, she won't ping on it.
Doesn't mean there won't be other creatures of matching those types down there.
I should have found out what doom...
Hammery lad.
Doom claw.
Doom claw.
Doomhammer man.
What type he was.
Probably an aberration.
Too late now.
Something could have investigated.
Could have.
Could have.
Coulda, woulda, shoulder.
Yeah.
All right.
We defer to you, Lord Gruffeth.
Don't call me Lord Gruffeth.
Nighterite.
I'm not.
Leader of the same.
Zantheos would probably be like,
well, yeah, no, he's not a lord.
He's a knight.
You're the lord, sorry, Zathe.
He's the lordling here.
You'd be very quiet.
Usually you have some sort of...
Yeah, it's fine.
It's fine.
You look a little pallid.
No, no.
Just see a bit see some.
sick, also obsidious, maybe send me a message, but I responded.
What did you say?
He was just, I think he went back, he's, no, he's not mad, mad, mad.
Disappointed.
He went, I think he knows what happened in Wave Me.
No!
No, it makes sense.
It makes sense.
He heard that we'd been arrested.
Apparently that authoritative that knew about me is causing some troubles,
but he says that he's going to talk to the commander.
It'll be alright. It'll be fine.
It'll be fine.
I can't live with the embarrassment of knowing
that the obsidious knows what happened.
He probably more focused on.
He probably doesn't know all of the details.
I think he cares more about...
C.S.
Certain things.
The steel of...
Stealiness.
He might not know about the chair.
I hope he doesn't find out about the chair.
The chair's the worst bit.
The chair's the low point.
It was a lovely chair.
I mean, I did pay the hotel for damages.
Oh, good.
Nothing replaces that chair, though.
No, though, it was beautifully made.
Handmade, one of the kind of passed down from their family.
If that was a stone chair, I don't think I could cope.
Oh, no, it wasn't a stone chair, thank goodness.
Thank the Greyfather, it was just wood.
Still beautiful wood.
Yeah, so I'm just thinking of, I'm trying to think of what to say.
Well, be polite to him.
He's not being very polite with me.
It's okay to admit if you're seasick as well.
I don't enjoy the rocking waves.
Do you need lie down?
No.
Cold compress.
No.
A snack?
Hmm?
Yeah.
No, I'm fine.
I'm fine.
Well, Gruffuth, I offer this performance of creation to create a cage with which to confide
you in a depth and that you can't ever get out until it vanishes.
...
Hours later.
What if something has a spear and he stabs through it?
Then you're trapped inside and being skewered.
The things we've been attacked by have had spears and punches and...
Yes, they've had fingers.
They've had finnies.
Well, they grip poles and harpoons.
You've got grippies.
They're polky.
Yeah.
Would it be helpful if I was on the outside and I could just patrol around the outside
and just poke back anyone that tries to poke in?
I'd also like to point out that I can transform into a sea creature as well.
well, swim.
I think what we're saying, Rowan,
is your cage idea is wonderful.
Thank you, but maybe.
We want a bit of freedom of all.
Yes.
Oh, okay.
Got another idea.
Right, let's hear it.
It's Rowan's rudder.
Explain.
So, you grip onto it, I'm thinking this as we go.
This is crazy.
I can tell, yeah.
Just like, go with me on this.
You grip onto it like this, and in the front there's a little
propeller, but then you do this to make the propeller go forward, and that makes you swim faster.
For podcast listeners.
And that will counteract the density of water.
Trot made a hand cycling motion.
Yeah.
As if he was peddling.
A mechanism.
A mechanism which would allow you to cut through the waters a little bit faster than...
Create complex mechanisms.
Sounds rather complicated to me, lad.
Let's find out.
I'm a conclated guy.
I know you are.
You are.
I'm deep.
You puzzle me on a daily basis.
You crack me open.
I'm like an opal.
Oh.
Opos are quite pretty.
Yes, but then empty.
Beyond the crystals.
Oh.
Dead inside.
Are you okay, boy?
I'm fine.
Do you need a lie down?
Yes.
Do you need a snack?
Got a dicky tom-tum.
Do you need a snack?
You met that last time when we were on the bow?
Yeah.
Is it still bad?
Yeah.
Oh.
I think it's all the stew I've been making.
How old was that fish?
Did you put in that studios then?
Shrug.
So I don't know if I put this,
because I did, I rewrote the College of Creation
when we moved to 2024 rules.
In the original, the value of the item
can't be more than 20 times your bard level.
So your barred level is nine,
so 18, 180 gold, that would be.
I guess, like, yeah,
if it's a manually sort of cranked pedal thing.
Like an underwater pedlo?
Like an underwater pedlo
that probably would fall into that category, yes.
Yes.
Look, his face is so happy right back.
What if I could make...
I would allow you...
I would say that that would allow you
to move without half speed
but wouldn't grant you a swim speed
because it won't help you in combat.
All right, I raise you.
A devil's bargain, if you will.
Which is a good point we do.
We haven't done fate in a minute.
Let me hear this first.
You know Warhammer.
I know Warhammer.
You love Warhammer.
I do enjoy Warhammer.
When you receive them, they come on spools.
Sprues.
Yep.
If I can create a sprue of four of them because they're all one piece,
and you snap them off, I can make four of them.
How are you going to join them together?
I don't need to join them together.
I'm giving out four of them.
Right.
So they come together, fully formed.
I create a fully formed four of them on sprues, so it's one on.
No, you create one.
Not a magical item of your choice.
Yeah, and it is one whilst it's on the spruce,
and then you snap them off.
The item must be medium or smaller.
It will fit within a 10-foot cube, right?
Five-foot cube.
You're going to make four of these things?
That's a Kim-sized-feet.
Imagine a Kim-sized cube.
I don't think you can get four of them on a Kim-sized cube.
But it's only a little thing, right?
I'm pushing it.
Two.
Let's roll fate.
Let's roll fate.
Let's roll fate.
Let's just roll fake.
Let's just roll fate and then we'll see.
Oh my God.
Roll the thing.
At least he's emptying his dice tray.
I'll take the noise, is it?
Six.
Six, okay.
Four.
Deuce.
Trez.
Oh.
Trez, deuce.
Two, three, four, five.
Deuce.
Duce.
Dose.
Doss.
Six.
Duce's.
Duce's.
So yes.
I will, hmm, I don't want to set a precedence here.
True, good point.
That you can just create four items for the price of one
if it's on a Warhammer.
But it's odd as pretty.
Because you're a 3D printer, Chris Trott.
Right?
He's been known.
He's been nine.
So you couldn't create a complex mechanism inside.
You can't.
Not already pre-printed.
You can.
What is this?
That's actually one of the benefits of 3D printing
is you can have hinges and...
Built into the pieces before you assemble.
Yeah, this is.
Because of the layer by layer 3D printing process,
you can have gaps.
He prints me a little fidget cube that...
He's caught there.
I will allow you to spend a fate
to create four of these objects.
Now they don't last very long, right?
They only last a few hours.
They last roughly off the top of my dome.
I think it's your proficiency modifier,
so it'll be three or four hours.
I request that they will have a charming squeak to them as we use them.
They're not going to be perfectly created
because I'm making four of them,
so some will have some rubby bits.
Amazing, yeah, I'd like a charming squeak.
And that will, that travels underwater, by the way.
So what I will say is, like I said,
these will allow you to move at normal speed,
but any combat scenario you would still have disadvantage.
And also they're going to be like,
you're gonna have to use both hands to power them.
It's really annoying.
Can we have tethers on them?
Just in case, if we go hands free, they don't float away.
You would have to attach the tethers yourself with me.
What I can do, a few.
We can get some.
You're pushing it really with what I'm capable.
I am, I'm sorry, I'm really adding to it.
I'll add a little loop on the top of all.
I will allow you to have a little loop.
And you'll attach your own rope.
Perfect. Thank you.
Yeah.
And then they should last, I believe they should last four hours.
Now I just need to manage.
So you might not want to create them right away.
That might be something you want to save.
I'll save it until we're at the bottom.
Save it until we start moving.
Four hours, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
When we've decided on a spot, Griffith, I'll make them then.
On spruce.
And then we snap them off.
Very satisfying.
What's a spruce?
Spruce.
Mateo is, also, don't forget, there's going to be at least five of you, not four of you,
because there's Xanthus as well.
And this is assuming you don't take Sajorina and Mateo with you.
Well, I can turn into a CBCT.
You're covered, and then some of us can move faster than others.
Yes, I'm quite swift.
So maybe the slowest of us.
Do you have a swimming speed?
No, probably not moving.
No.
But it would still half Ophelia's normal movement,
which is already higher, so.
I could...
You can dash.
But remember that will wear you out quickly as well.
I'm probably better.
I'm sorry.
I don't know if you're going to speed at all.
It's so far.
Is it 50 feet?
50 feet, yeah.
Oh, what can I do with it also?
So, yeah, literally for most of you,
half your movement speed is like 15 feet.
Ophelia is going more than you at half speed.
It's nearly going as fast as you walking at half speed.
Strolling, that's fine.
You walk as fast as a halfling,
even at slow speed.
All right, so what is the plan here, folks?
It's like in twilight when they're walking through the truck.
Yeah, that's Ophelia.
You know when they walk through your house and then you see it in slow motion?
I've never seen.
I thankfully have never seen those films.
That and the C.G.I. Baby.
That's real.
Cursed.
I thought that was footage of.
That was C.G.
Anyway.
Why?
How did we get here?
Anyway.
Because I just thought you walking through a kelp forest in slow motion, but, yeah.
What is the plan here?
I'm a vampire.
King Gruffus, what do you say?
Spruce.
Oh, king, no.
I'm no king, boy.
Sprew thing.
Sail a bit more in, until we're surrounded by kelp.
Okay.
I will turn into a giant octopus.
You guys, well, cast water breeding on everyone.
We go down.
Do the spruce thing.
Rowan's rudders.
Rowan's rudders, sorry.
Have a look around, commune with nature,
get attacked by something, die, TPK.
Go home.
Okay, great.
Watch for a wooden door.
All right.
So with that, Sojourn will not lay anchor
and we'll sort of get the sails out to sail a little bit more into the kelp forest
so you can then descend down from there.
Obviously I said, this is going to be, you are going to sort of be going to be going
going to be going to be going to the thick of it at this point.
This is not like walking into the tree line of a forest now.
You are going to be descending straight down through the canopy of underwater flora.
But you set sail a little bit, maybe traveling a little ways in.
So Joran will reach a point where he'll.
He's like, not sure I should go too much farther.
I'm worried the anchor won't quite reach the ground
as it does get deeper from this point
until we get close to Twin Peak Isle.
And I can't imagine that they're going to be too close to civilization.
So I don't take the sun-kissed in any further.
What do you want me and the boy to do any point at Mateo?
Anchor here.
Keep watch.
Daisy, your telepathic.
communication, so many people can you, can you link it between?
I...
I'm going to get again, because...
No, four. Five is me.
Four people.
Okay. But it's...
And is it...
Within one mile.
Okay, that won't work then.
So, yeah, I can go out of range.
if you walk out into the center of this blanket
you're probably going to be out of range
yeah so it's probably
probably makes sense to keep
all of us linked
keep watch
there won't be any way to communicate with us
but if something attacks this ship
set sail and leave
I'll have to
maybe head for the Twin Peaks
There's the village, the one that was attacked, that's the closest settlement, head to there.
It's on the other side of the aisle from here, so you'll have to go around,
but that's the closest settlement for days.
If you need to get somewhere quickly, that's your best place to go.
Mateo?
Yes, yes.
Do whatever Sir Jordan tells you to do.
I'm not coming with you. You don't want me along?
This is going to be a very tricky one, I think.
But this is the culmination of your quest.
How will I be able to write your ballad and your song?
Well, he wouldn't be able to do it if he were dead.
That is very true, yes.
Wouldn't be the worst thing if he died.
What? What was that a feeling?
Nothing, no, nothing.
Oh, I thought I heard you say something.
I think if you said it would be the worst thing if you died.
It would be the worst thing.
Oh, oh.
You could see, he's so torn.
He wants to be there to witness the end of Gruff's mighty tale.
The end of Gruff's life.
But, I'd be able to properly.
I wouldn't be able to properly write it second hand.
You know, I've been there for, I saw you battle Agamox
and the creatures on the beach
and we escaped wave me together and...
It's probably you'd be worse than all of those things.
But your spell that water breathing can include me, can't it?
How good are you with swimming?
I mean, I'm... I've swammed a few lakes in my day
and used to go swimming with my various friends out on the coast
when we'd visit the Suncrest Isles?
Insight check.
Yeah, sure.
20, unnatural.
I will not tell you if this is persuasion or deception.
You get the sense that Mateo,
you don't think he's lying.
In fact, he's kind of told you many stories before
and sort of, you've observed that he is,
he tends to be a bit of jack of all trades.
Like he's kind of got, like,
he's done a little bit of everything.
And you don't think he's a good swimmer,
but you don't think he's a bad swimmer.
Okay.
I don't think he's the worst gruff.
I think he might be okay.
Xantheus will say, well, you know,
Mateo is the best of us,
and he does have scale.
I think he should come along.
But then there's not enough of the things.
What if I just put my hands around Rowan
and he can just take me with him?
Yeah, I could do that.
Might so us down to the floor.
Look, it's, I can't follow.
you to take me and I just, you know,
oh, he's gonna die if he comes along.
See, this is Mark doing this.
Mark wants him to die.
Oh yeah, I don't want to cry.
I'm giving you the option.
He wants blood in the water.
I feel it wants those bones.
They're gonna be at the bottom of the ocean.
What's you gonna carry them around?
You can take some bones?
Let the fish nibble away the flesh.
Yeah, let the piranas clean them up all nice, yeah.
I mean, you don't get piranas in the ocean, but...
Oh, yeah, true.
Oh, you might get in the ocean.
Okay, sorry, in magic co-pranas.
I forgot they can survive.
Yeah.
Well, they're not real-world piranhas.
Maybe this is their climate.
They're native to these waters.
Anyway, it's up to...
I think it's up to Graffett's his quest.
It is Gruffat's Chris.
Mateo, looks at you with these big pleading eyes.
Can I make a...
What's the word?
Like an anti...
Like...
Constitution savings...
Yeah, Constitution.
Wisdom, if you're resisting,
his sort of like puppy look.
I mean, it has a plus nine.
Well, you'll probably succeed then, won't you?
Then you have to decide.
Oh, you're going to put it in the dice tray, are you?
That went well last time.
14 plus nine.
Does not face you.
Like his little pleading face, he's like,
but gruff, the story, your ballad.
You've been working so hard on it.
The thing is, Mateo, your life weighs heavy on me than a ballad.
Oh, that's so knightly.
He's so noble, isn't it?
So noble, so humble.
Maybe I can make that work in the ballad, you know,
and at the last moment did he turn his bard away
or something like that, you know,
for fear of his death weighed upon the night's lofty brow.
Don't forget, we can also collab, I'll be down there,
and I'll feed you information.
That is very true, Rowan.
That is very, you have the bard skill.
You will tell me of everything.
Oh, top line summary.
Yes, yes, you'll be able to give me a good insight to it.
as long as you promise.
I do want, I want to write this myself, so.
I've never told a lie.
I believe that.
I believe you, apart from,
then you get arrested for telling a lie.
That's a poor key, not allowed.
Oh, right, they see it.
Very, very different, very different.
All right, I will stay with Sir Joran.
I will stay with Sir Joran.
Thank you, Mateo.
As you wish Knight Gruffeth, Sir Gruffeth, soon to be.
T.M.
Trademarks.
Yes, soon to be, night.
There's a gild of trademarks here.
STB.
What's STB?
Soon to be.
Don't worry that in your ballot.
I would.
But yeah, he will stay aboard.
So now, yeah, it's just what do you guys want to do?
I feel bad.
But he would die.
He probably would, yeah.
We could.
Hasn't died so far.
For Agamox the Doomclaw and didn't die.
He could run away from that though, not float away.
Yeah, Underwater battles like a whole other thing.
Just a second.
He won't, also, the other point I'm going to make is he will not gain any experience if he doesn't go with you.
Because he does gain experience, he gets better the more he does.
Mark's desperate for this.
No, I am making you aware of all the consequences.
You're not making this for Sojourn.
No, Sejorie, well, Sir Jorin, Kim has the stats for Sir Joran.
Sir Doreen isn't going to level up or gain anything.
He's peak.
Yeah.
He's a peak.
But it's also, he's, he's left it in, if he wanted, if Gruff wanted Sir Doreen to go,
Sir Doreen would go.
He would weigh anchor and he would come with you.
So if he wants Sir Doreen to come with you as well.
But Sir Doreen is assuming that if, you know,
Gruff is saying, no, stay here.
Protect the ship.
Oh God, I'm like getting fucked up again.
I hate this.
Oh, sorry, hang on.
Should we pull pebbles from a pebble barrel?
just to make a decision.
Oh no, Xanthius.
What are you looking like that?
No, I'm just saying I've realized
because I bought, before we left Wave Me,
I bought this hand crossbow
and a light crossbow.
I bought them for shoes under water.
Oh, you did. He gave me the hand crossbow.
I already gave Daisy the hand crossbow,
but I do have this other crossbow.
Hmm.
I have a crossbow.
I don't think range is really my thing.
I don't think I'm very good.
You've got a good dex, aren't you?
You've got a good dex, true.
Yeah, that'd be right.
I'll give it a try.
But then your rapier will be fine underwater as well as a piercing weapon.
What about Stone Razor?
No.
I mean, you'll just be at disadvantage, right?
You'll just have a disadvantage in the attack.
That was worth me leaving it here and taking a crossbow.
I mean, why would you leave it, right?
You can take both.
Yeah, take your crossbow.
That might be a cave or something.
Yeah.
There's no reason to leave it.
It's on your inventory.
But you could certainly take Xantheus's spare light crossbow.
Oh, and Zanthius,
will also give Affiliate a net.
Ooh!
I also bought these.
Handy.
Lovely.
He did spend all of his money.
I did.
Supplies for the mission.
He did.
He did very well.
He doesn't have a single gold to his name now.
I have a fair enough.
Most is from gambling.
He did good, Boyle.
Thank you.
Thank you, Gug.
He seems very pleased.
Dad approved.
Dad approved.
But yes.
Yeah, if you want to draw an or mater to come with you,
you can.
But you've made it clear.
Oh yeah, maybe I'll change my mind
and I want both of them to come with us.
Both.
We can water breathe 10 creatures.
Yeah.
Yep, it's true.
The boat's going to be fine.
As long as the anchor's there, the boat's on top.
If the rope falls down, boat's gone.
He's more fun with friends, isn't it?
You're having a great day, aren't you?
It's great.
I'm making sure you know all the options available to you.
Whatever you choose is fine
Death, guilt, burden
Sad
Bones, but bones
It's always an upside
There is absolutely nothing wrong
With telling them both to stay here
It is your mission
Yeah exactly
If you are more concerned
About their lives and their risk of death
But the thing is the last time I told Sir Joran to stay with a boat
He got knocked unconscious and turned into a human sacrifice
You did tell them that he was there
technically split.
And it was a village full of secret cultists.
It was a secret cult.
And it's a notion full of not so secret cultists.
Yeah, but he's much more aware of what's going to happen out here on the sea.
He does better on the sea.
He was literally sucker punch.
He literally got knocked out from behind because he let his guard down in the village.
This way, if he does get under trouble, he can escape.
He just, yeah, sail away.
Sail away.
Sail away.
Sail away.
I'll have them stay.
All right.
On the ship.
They will nod their heads, yep.
Go to the settlement.
They will sail towards the nearby village.
And yeah, in that case, you grab whatever supplies.
You got any preparations you would like to make now is the time?
I do have a signal gun that the commander gave me.
So if the worst comes to the worst and we surface and we can't see you for some reason you've gone to the settlement, I would fire the signal.
That seems like a good idea.
to wash the skies.
Hmm.
I will do.
If you leave.
Alright.
Well, I'll only leave if absolutely necessary.
Absolutely necessary.
Mm-hmm.
Right.
Is everybody ready?
We've got nets.
We've got crossbows.
Yes.
Thank you, Xanthius.
Yes, thank you.
That's all right.
I'm going to be...
Fire is not going to be as effective down there, so...
I do have a potion of water breathing, actually.
I took it from the vault.
I shall...
Is a backup?
Give it...
Yes, I was just thinking as a backup,
maybe I give it to one of you.
I think you should give it to Sir Joran or Matteo
in case they need to come down.
Because casting water breathing is going to do the same for all of us, right?
I defer to you, Sir Gruffeth.
They'll be...
King of kings.
To the island, though.
Right.
I'm going to give this potion of water breathing to Xanthius.
Okay.
I will cast water breathing on everybody here,
because I can cast on up to 10 people.
It lasts for 24 hours,
so, you know, I'd like to think that if something happened,
well, maybe it was still lost on Sir Jor and Mateo.
Yes, Rowan.
What I'm going to say is not going to contribute in any way.
Now I really want to hear it.
Does Aaron else feel like a little baby
when you get water breathing cast on you?
What?
What?
Do not get flashes back to the womb?
I think the only time that we've had it cast on us
is when you did it and we grew gills
and it didn't feel like that.
Right.
Oh, you did it last week and fly.
Just say.
What the fuck?
What the fuck?
Get thrown back to your childhood.
Free birth.
Well, I was an egg.
He was an egg.
You're a hatch from an egg.
Egg boy.
Egg.
Egg.
I don't know.
Don't make fun of me.
I'm not.
I'm just, I've just had the word egg stuck in my head
and I had to release it.
It's just, sometimes when you get a word
and you just have to let it out, sometimes.
Did you reply to Lord Ossidius?
Technically, yes, but I'm not going to make that out for Tom.
I will leave that to him.
But he does have to do it immediately.
That's what he said.
He's thinking about it.
Just make sure you're quick.
by his proper titles, okay?
He definitely hasn't.
Don't be sassy.
Like, he's definitely not,
he's, because he's already not called him
by his title, and he already called him obsidious,
so he's like, he just nods.
He does that Xanthius, like, Tom.
Just don't do anything to provoke him, okay?
No, no, no.
That's a man already on the edge.
Also regular crossbow in D&D beyond.
Light crossbow.
I'm just, okay.
Or crossbow light, it might be under.
It should, it'll probably have comma, something.
because mine is crossbow, comma, hand.
It will be crossbow, comma, light, then.
Mine is crossbow, comma, heavy.
Is that?
That's a different type of crossbow.
A shitty one.
It's a bigger one that does more damage.
Sweet. A bigger one.
It's also a martial weapon.
I'll get you a better boat.
A bigger one.
Don't forget, our big emergency exit is the home of hearthstone.
The home of hearthstone.
It's so...
Legendary!
My bran bronze beard.
Job done.
We can all gather out my runestone of hearth and home.
There we go.
Right.
And get out.
Worst case to know.
Yes, that's true.
That is very true.
It will take us back to Ashton's rest,
but then maybe we can send word with a spell or something.
I'm sure we can find somebody with a sending spell
or a teleportation or something like that.
That can get us where we need to go.
It gives me...
Good plan.
Right, is everybody ready?
Daisy, do the telepathy.
Oh, now, well we're going down underwater, aren't we?
Is everyone ready?
Does I ever be?
Do you say that we can talk to each other as long as we're close?
If you're close, you can hear each other, yeah.
It's only if you get, I would say, more than 10, 15 feet away,
you're like...
It just doesn't.
I'd say probably 10 feet, more than 10 feet away,
you're not going to hear each other.
Keep it until we're down and we start to...
traveling.
Because you only need to see them
to be able to activate it.
Yeah, because it's timed, so.
I'll keep that ready when you're ready.
When you want it, just do that.
I'll tap your head, I'll know what you mean.
In the meantime, Groff has summoned Seren
and she's circling around everyone,
blessing them with water breathing.
And this time there are new gills,
it's just sort of a protective layer of magic
that seems to infuse you and almost creates
like this kind of bubble of like,
a layer of air around your skin,
which helps you to breathe.
You feel like, you know, her wings just brushing against your cheek.
Very nice.
Love that.
And then, yeah.
And I'll cast it on Joran and Mateo as well.
Might as well.
Just in case they need it.
Yeah.
No harm.
And then, all right, so when we,
you're going to cast your...
As a point as well, you will need to include sarin in the spell
if they're familiar is coming with you.
Because they are a creature now, they're a living creature,
so they will have to, uh...
So unless you want to leave Seren up on the boat as well,
then Seren will need to have water breathing as well.
I mean, she's a cormorant, an ice diver.
There's a big difference between, like,
holding your breath for a long time as you die for fish
and literally being underwater for several hours.
They're trained.
No, yeah, no.
But just as a point, like for any spells that target, like, creatures,
Seren is a living creature now.
They are not just a spirit of energy.
They need things like water breathing and, you know, even like they don't need food and things like that,
but they do still need, like, breathing and things like that.
All right.
So do you sort of just step off the boat and sort of let gravity do its work,
or, you know, are you going to help yourselves weigh yourselves down to sink faster?
Are you going to swim down?
What is the plan?
I will begin my performance of creation to create...
You want to do that now?
Rudder, pack of four.
Okay.
Pack of four.
So you kind of create that on the deck.
I get my Sosanuto out.
Not to be sold separately.
No, that's engraved on all the sides.
I get Sosanuto out, and I begin playing,
and a beam comes out of the end.
And it starts, here I am.
3D print.
That's amazing.
But the notes I'm playing are coordinates
of where the beam should go.
Right, perfect.
Sounds like an inkjet print.
And you see almost like being made of this lightweight,
almost looks like stone.
this gray stone,
and it's lightweight like wood.
Rowan creates through his music
this sort of industrial sprew
of these devices,
and he has to go over and with the hilt of Stonebraiser,
like kind of knock them out of their clipping points.
Pump, pump, pump, pump, pump,
pop them out.
So if there's any, like, sharp bits.
Yeah, he hasn't got time to file them down.
So a couple of you have some, like, jagged and mold lines
and things like that.
But you pop out these things.
It is a very simple,
it almost looks like the little gadgets
from a James Bond movie
where it's this kind of little torpedo-headed device
and then inside you have like a little pedal
that you rotate with your arms
and it causes the propeller to spin.
It will still be tiring,
but it will help immensely.
There is a subtle engraving of Rowan's face
on the top of the torpedo shape.
Yeah.
Just smiling.
Yeah.
It looks like when Jeannie turns into a rocket.
She's still got the genie's face.
So yeah, you create these things and then, yeah,
you take these into the water
and with a spell on, you begin to peddle your way down.
Gruff, are you going to wild shape
or are you going to stay gruff for now?
Yeah, because I can't cast a spell while I'm wild shape.
You cannot cast a spell, but you can't concentrate on spells.
Yeah, so I can't cast commune with nature.
No, but you could come out of it when you get down there.
You were just, yeah, it's up to you.
How far down is it?
I mean, it's a long way.
And, like, if you want to travel inwards as well,
it's still going to be a long ways.
You're talking, like, maybe, you know, a good two, three hundred feet down.
I will turn into a giant octopus.
So this black and blue, gray octopus kind of morphs out
and begins to very quickly.
Much faster than even you with the Rowans rudders,
the octopus manages to sort of storm ahead,
being propulsed by its tentacles as it moves forward.
as you all begin to make your way down that sudden sort of silence of the roaring waves and things
like that immediately is muffled and becomes quiet as you begin to make your way down this
thick jungle of kelp uh the tips of it gently swaying and every now and then sort of
you have to almost push out your way as you continue on your journey soon other flora begins to
to appear, sort of growing out of the kelp or alongside it,
more blooming underwater plants.
You begin to see coral reefs that spiral up
like great mountains or hills themselves,
pockmarked with schools of fish starting here and there
as you descend deeper and deeper and deeper
under the waves into the blood kelp forest.
You make your way down until eventually
It would take probably a good, sort of, you know, few hours of these devices to get all the way down to the bottom and begin to sort of head inland a little bit as well.
You can see every now and then there are like pockets of rocky outcroppings.
You see different types of underwater plants, more greenish.
Perhaps these were older or choked out by the blood-red kelpilts,
which just surrounds you like these great redwoods, thick, broad, ferned leaves with little prongs and elements, tendrils to them that just rise up and up and up and up.
But yeah, you eventually reach the bottom to the sort of silty, sandy bottom of this immense underwater jungle.
Do you want to use commune with nature now or as you search for the ship?
Can I have a quick little dart around?
Like maybe when I'm waiting for these guys to catch up,
just a little dart around just to see nothing.
I'm not going to go too far away from these.
Sure.
Just to kind of what's in this circumference, you know.
Yeah, you definitely won't go very far at all
because there is other ways you'll be at risk of having to make checks
to avoid getting lost, right?
Because once you are deep down here,
Once you are away from the surface,
it is near impossible to tell where you've come from,
where you've gone from.
It's so thick and sort of heavy jungle-like.
It's only by looking up if you can see your friends making their way down
as you've almost come straight vertically down.
Yeah, give me a perception check.
I use the animal stats, don't I?
You use your stats for perception because it's a mental one.
Do you use the animal's physical stats?
You can use any of the octopus's senses, though.
So I do, as a giant octopus, I have dark vision up to 60 foot.
Very useful. It is very dark down here as well.
That's the other thing.
The light does not, it is not making its way down here.
I would say you are basically always counted as being in dim light,
but after about 10, 15, 20 feet, it just fades away to nothing.
Like, you can't see further than that down here.
Unnatural 20.
Unnatural 20.
Looking around this initial area,
Um, you would see, uh, yeah, like twisted rock formations, coral, beds of coral, a few plants here and a
but you don't see anything immediate in this still very early section, the outer rim of this
blood kelp forest, really. You're still quite, uh, far from the sort of inner section of it.
Um, but yeah, nothing immediately jumps out. You know hidden dangers or, or anything unusual at this point.
I would, with my little tentacles, when the others arrive,
kind of point a bit further inland, not inland, I guess, like...
Towards the aisle, basically, yeah, yeah.
So that's like a good thing that you knew that you were facing that direction
and that's towards the centre of the Blood Kelp Forest,
is you go that direction, it would be north from the direction you came from.
So you're heading that sort of direction.
Yeah, but you don't see it, you can't see it from down here,
just know it's roughly in that direction.
Just sort of gesture.
that way and kind of do that, like, you know, I think when animals do, where they, like,
go ahead a little bit, but come back a little bit, go forward a little bit.
Sure.
So at this point, we're now entering basically an exploration challenge.
So what I need is one of you will be the guide, and we'll be making a survival check to
keep the party on track and not to get lost, and then that will determine how much progress
you make in this area, and at certain points, you will have event.
and depending on what the rest of the party are doing,
you tell me what you are doing on this journey,
those other characters might have a chance
to intervene if anything were to happen.
So who's going to lead this?
I don't have good survival.
Who's the best of?
I do have grace of survival, but you are the leader of this.
I got plus eight.
I got plus ten.
Oh.
I could roll a one.
I think Gruff should lead.
Yeah, because I'm just thinking in terms of
how this is unfolding.
Like, yeah.
Sounds like Gruff is at the front.
It's not like, I need to make a survivor check.
Forward, Rowan.
You're literally ahead as a squid.
I mean, I think that like there is an element there
of like you've traveled with Rowan.
You know Rowan is a seasoned traveler
and has helped guide you through woods
and on trails before.
There is nothing, it is okay to use a bit of meta knowledge
and be like, Rowan is the best person for this job.
I as leader want you to do this, right?
That's very in keeping with being a leader.
and you've seen enough of Rowan skills to know that.
You guys, I don't ever have a problem with you guys going,
like, who's the best at athletics?
Oh, it's Ophelia, oh, it's so-and-so.
You guys know each other's skills and abilities by now.
I'm going to activate telepathy, and it's eight hours.
Eight hours.
All right.
The whole best one we've had.
I will, no, one person needs a left out, as always.
Well, it's you plus four people, right?
Oh, no, it is no, because it's gone up by one.
So everyone.
So it's Antheos, yeah, everyone.
As long as you don't have any MPCs with you.
No.
Everyone is in the group call.
Sweet.
Awesome.
Okay.
So Gruff, do you still want to do the survival roles?
Oh.
What do you want to nominate?
Do you want to encourage Rowan to do it now that you can speak?
I think it was more than metagaming of like Groff knowing that a survival check is like...
Yeah.
That's totally fine.
Like if you think that like this is, you know, like said, you guys.
to know each other's skills and abilities.
Rowan Boyo.
Hello.
What do you think of the way forward?
I want to keep heading in a northerly direction.
Sounds very smart.
I think keeping our bearings
is the most important thing right now
because it's so easy to get lost in this kelpie forest.
But I can scout ahead if you like.
Well, that would be perfect if you could
because you are...
Seriously, peddles.
I've got this, Gruffeth.
Podcast listeners, trot is violently peddling with his upper body.
It's like that gym equipment.
I just love that this is going to look so stupid,
but he feels like I'm a pet.
It's all right.
They're gonna vanish in a few hours.
No, but it's just like this badass mission
and they're violently peddling with your arms.
There is a squeak to them.
Yes.
I don't know what it's one in here.
Oh, a little playing card in between the spokes.
It makes me like a...
But I think that would fuck up the whole thing if you did that.
I will guide then.
All right, so Rowan is going to be the guide.
What is everyone else doing in that case then?
Looking.
So, like, just, like, trying to keep a sense out for a sense of danger.
Yeah, I think probably looking for sharks.
Listening for songs.
Ooh.
Okay.
Can I try and keep, like, uh, I don't know.
Like, I kind of want to...
Yeah, I mean, like, look at your skills.
Like, if you want to, you can do whatever you want.
I kind of want to see if NIM,
like occasionally take like a mental picture
of the way that we're going
and in case we somehow double round on ourselves.
So the problem with that is,
is like, if you come across any landmarks,
that'll be useful.
Yeah.
A lot of this, you are just seeing, like,
just curtains of this kelp.
Yeah.
And it's, there's not much for distinction.
If you come across anything distinctive,
Yeah, like NIM would be able to help with that.
Oh, there's a giant rock on the seafloor there.
We've passed that before.
We're going round and sort of.
Yeah, NIM will keep track of that stuff anyway
because that's what NIM does.
NIM was a scout in the area.
So, like, NIM is already, they are keeping an idea of, like, that.
It's just, they need those landmarks to be able to form that mental map of it, basically.
But also, like, keep in mind, like, if one of you wanted to, like,
I want to move a bit ahead and move more quietly.
So like Rowan is keeping like you on track
but you want to have somebody move up ahead
as a bit of a scout and actually stealth ahead
to see if there's anything dangerous
or if like gruff, it sounds like you're going to be more of a lookout
and you're like literally making sure you're not being ambushed by something.
I could start ahead.
It's up to you guys.
It's up to you guys what you want to do.
I'm not as fast.
Or if you want to like,
Aphelia could, if you wanted to try and use athletics
to like clear a path to make it easier for somebody else to do something,
you could do that as well.
Like don't just feel like I guess I'm just going to keep a lookout.
You can do other things, and I will find a way to make it useful.
Hmm.
But Graffitt sounds like he's being sort of more of a lookout and perception-y.
Could I like occasionally use my rapier to cut off a frond of the kelp and let it float up
so, like, Sejora and Mateo can see, like, a rough trail of where we're going.
Sure.
As we go along, we just occasionally let one go.
Yeah.
Just leaving breadcrum.
Not on breadcrum trail.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'll stealth ahead slightly.
So rather than giving anybody an immediate help to this effect,
you are basically helping Sajoran and Mateo should they try and find you later.
So you're basically giving them like help action, but for later.
Yeah.
So I guess I'll communicate with Rowan.
If he tells me what direction to go, I can scout ahead slightly.
Perfect.
For danger.
Perfect.
All righty.
So Daisy, you sort of move ahead.
kind of keeping close proximity to Rowan,
but making sure you're out of the obvious,
because they're making a lot of noise and movement,
and you are much more quietly,
kind of just gently going along
and keeping smaller and kind of weaving around to the outside.
Just making sure that if there is anything,
you'll be the first to see it,
and you can maybe get some advance warning on it.
Gruff, you're eagerly keeping it out for any sort of sign of an ambush
or anything like that,
a feelier every now,
and then just cutting this.
thing and watching it sort of begin to gently float towards the surface I would like
Rowan to please make a survival check this is a difficult a very difficult terrain
because it is both magical and unnatural so this is a pretty substantial DC but
not not anything unbeatable basically so I intend to roll a natural 20 okay I
love to see it I might fate yeah this sounds important
Getting lost in this kettle, suck.
I will fate.
All right, one point of fate, spent.
29.
Wow, big boy.
I'm running so hard, R.N.
Oh.
So, that is a extra success, because it's five above the DC.
I'm gonna tell you what the DC is, but it is five above it.
which means you make basically three progress towards finding your destination, right?
And also at any point, if you want to do your commune and stuff, that may help with this as well.
I was going to make you do this first check and then...
Sure, yeah.
So, with Rowan's help, you expend, it would be...
You would expend one hour plus the hour it took you to get to this point.
So you've spent about two hours since you left the ship.
so one hour of your telepathy has gone
but two hours of the rudders have gone
you are traveling along
for about this hour and Rowan you're kind of keeping everybody guided
just using these line marks you're pretty sure you're
on the right track you've not got turned around or anything like that
and you are leading the group
towards something when Daisy being a little bit ahead
could you make a stealth role for me just to see if you are spotted by any potential threat
that may be up ahead?
Unnatural 20.
Unnatural 20, perfect.
So as they are making the way ahead, Daisy, you're moving a little bit ahead of the group,
kind of keeping ahead, trying to keep your eyes out.
When you realize as you move forwards, Rowan has led you in deeper and you can feel you're going
deeper as well.
You're not just kind of going forwards, like the ground is going lower and lower elevation.
Daisy, you watch as this giant purple sea urchin sort of bobs along.
And you can see looking back, actually, there's quite a few of them behind you now.
And actually, these urchins are sort of hidden amongst all the kelp, some of them in the sand,
some of them floating up amongst the kelp above you.
And you're sort of looking at it like, oh, it's quite pretty.
It's got this very unusual pattern on it.
almost like a kind of mixture of blowfish and sea urchin combined.
And then you watch as a small sort of dolphin-like creature sort of swims past.
And it just gets a little too close as you watch as this sea urchin explodes its spines outwards.
And it thuds into this like dolphin-like creature and it kind of spasms for a moment.
and then its eyes begin to go bloody and red
and it dies and it begins to float upwards
as it's embedded with poison.
It's only a small thing, obviously, quite a weak creature.
But you watch as this sea urchin mine effectively
and then you watch as the sea urchin sinks down to the ground
and as it hits the sand,
you can see it beginning to sort of regrow those spines
as it nestles in,
but some sort of defence mechanism is triggered
as this creature got too close to it.
And you realise that not through Romans,
fault that you have just arrived in an area where these creatures this is their habitat and you are now in this section of the forest surrounded by these things and looking around you can see they're everywhere and you because you pass on the test you like you managed to kind of get word back to gruff that this is the situation
those purple sea urchin type things you don't touch them they explode oh they explode they stab you with the little the pokey spine things and then it's just not good so don't touch them
There's a lot of them all around us right now.
So we need to avoid them entirely?
Avoid them.
Avoid them entirely.
Okay, can we swim around or do we have to go through?
Yes, but you can't get close to them.
If you get too close, that's when they, they,
it's like they defend themselves.
I just killed a dolphin thing.
I didn't like it.
Okay, well, shall we, is there enough space for us to swim through?
Would I be able to gauge if there's enough space for us to?
So you can certainly attempt to, but you saw that there were a dozen,
dozens and dozens of these things, and you're not sure you spotted them all because they're
sort of hidden amongst the kelp anyway. So what this will be is, you know, for you guys to
swim through, you can attempt to do so. And it would be perception checks from each of you
individually to see if you, you know, spot them before they get you. And then if you do potentially
fail that perception check, it will potentially be a dexterity saving throw. Or I would allow an
athletics check, or rather than a perception check, I would say you can make an athletics check
to just go, I'm going to swim really fast and just try and out swim these things basically
before the spines hit me. So you can either make a perception check to try and sort of carefully
make sure you're not hit by these things, or you just go, fuck it, and you just try and barrel
your way through it. I have a swim speed of 60. So you can certainly, you'd still be trying.
It would still be the same thing.
The swim speed isn't really going to help you here.
It's the sort of navigate,
because you're also trying to avoid them
as they swim into you and stuff like that.
How far is this field, would you say?
Like, how big is you?
You're already in it.
But how can we see the end of it?
No, you don't know.
I have no idea.
Can we go up and over?
They're all above you as well.
It's not just like on one level like this.
They are, because this is hundreds of feet tall
and Daisy looked up and they're above you as well.
They're everywhere.
They're everywhere.
Where is my,
perception?
Do I had old Zanny on my, the same, so.
13 plus eight.
21.
So what did you do, Leg Rough?
Perception.
Perception check, so as the octopus,
you're kind of keeping your eyes out
and you're at 21.
21.
That's the success.
Rowan, what did you?
15 with perception.
15, all right.
Daisy.
Oh, 15 plus 9, perception.
So 24.
That many.
That's a success.
Ophelia.
I'm going to activate rage and give myself advantage on athletics.
Athletics check.
Can I slap you as an octopus?
Yeah.
I failed on both, so don't worry about it.
Three and a two.
Oh.
Oh.
Love it.
My highest falls an eight.
Xanthius is also, his perception is so bad.
He's going to attempt athletics because it's at least a plus one
rather than a minus two.
That is a five.
Rowan, Ophelia and Xanthias.
So Daisy and Gruff, you're kind of managing to navigate
and you, maybe it's the octopus kind of, you know,
senses you sense the change in pressure water.
One of these things just seems to appear out of this thick tangle of kelp
and flow towards you and you kind of coil your body
and warp underneath it and kind of swim up to the side.
Daisy, you see the sand as you think maybe if I go low enough,
I won't encounter them.
and then you see the sand disturb as one kind of rises up from underneath you
and you manage to kind of push yourself back as it rises in front of you just out of range.
For Xanthius and Ophelia, you two just try and barrel forwarding as quick as you try and swim past it,
try and just to, you know, almost kind of use the air pressure to push these things away.
But both of you are unfortunately caught as one of these things just seems to drift out of nowhere
right in the middle of both of you.
as you're desperately trying to swim away.
He's like, jocks at each other, like, go, right?
But it's more that, like, it kind of just rise up
and you're both, like, desperate just trying to get away.
And then for you, Rowan, it's just, you're kind of swimming along,
and then you just see, like, a shadow fall over you,
and you're like, look up at one of these things,
just like, it's, like, falling down towards you.
So I need a dexterity saving throws.
Do you get danger sense on it?
You would, Jay, you see this one coming, for sure.
If you had, if you'd made perception check,
you wouldn't have got the danger sense,
because you wouldn't have seen it,
but this one you do.
What's the rolls, sorry?
Dexterity saving throw, please.
I've got 19 on mine, highest.
19.
Oh dear.
That's a success.
You're going to take half damage, amen.
Thirteen.
13 is not a success.
You are going to take full damage, my friend.
Cool.
Zanthias.
It's a seven.
He is also going to take full damage on this, I'm afraid.
Is this piercing damage?
This is, you're going to find out.
That's gonna be 14.
So it is 14 piercing damage plus 12 poison damage.
And half the piercing.
Half, do I quadrupe?
Because I'm raging, so is that halft and halfed?
It would be halfed again.
So you would have taken, so it was 14 piercing,
so seven, so three piercing damage.
And then you would take six poison damage
because it's halved.
So.
I mean nine damage.
Cool.
Whereas, yeah,
is that both Xantheus and Rowan,
do you have any resistance to poison damage or anything?
Oh, that's a good point.
Xanthius doesn't, so he's taking the full amount.
I don't think I do know.
So that's 26 damage then.
And you are both poisoned.
Coming through my veins.
As you feel this kind of sickly burning,
just running through your veins.
You have the poison condition,
which means you have disadvantage on any ability checks you make
and that will last as long as it lasts.
Do not know how long it will last.
Yeah.
Attacks and abilities, okay.
I've stood on the seaghaned before.
I don't recommend.
But although, and maybe this represents,
maybe it's not even just one of these things.
Maybe it's a couple of them go off and catch the things.
three of you, but you do manage to make it through
this sea urchin, like, field or lair or whatever it is.
You manage to kind of make your way through it
and get the other side, but both Xanthius
and Rowan do not look well.
You can see there, they're covered in, like,
needles, like pulling those out.
Their veins are almost kind of bulging and purplish.
Rowan's face is all swollen up.
Zampthians, like, woo.
It's like big, thick.
I don't feel so big.
Oh, neither do I.
His eyes are all puffy and he's, like, is it bad?
No, you look fine.
Oh, great.
His hand is like twice the size, like.
Oh, dear.
I don't think I have anything that can help you.
I'm sorry.
Okay.
Watch out for the orchards.
But, yeah.
Should we get out of here?
No, no, boy, he'll hang on in there.
You do get to the other side, and yeah, you can see that, again,
you do not see any sign of the ship.
You do maybe see, as you're kind of making your way through
that minefield of these sea urchins,
you may be, and I'd say gruff and daisy
because you made high perception checks,
you would have spotted fragments of a very familiar-looking coral.
That same coral that the children of Virginia used to decorate their armor
and give them coral.
The same stuff that was giving them that protection against lightning and thunder damage.
And you see almost like naturally forming sections of it
that have been cut and broken as if harvested.
And also those sea urchins, their spines,
they also seem oddly familiar as well.
Like you remember the children in Deep had like shields
that had spines like that,
and also the ones in the shrine
that were wedged into the walls
as like a rudimentary trap.
These just seem a bit more potent, perhaps,
because they're fresh.
But yeah, you definitely seem to be going
in the right direction,
but no immediate clues
at the ship of where the ship is
or where, if you're getting close,
but definitely in the right, right direction.
Okay, so I think, um,
good off, uh, I think I might try that communing, uh, here, I think, uh,
okay, oh bloody ill, don't look at me.
I mean, you look great.
This is great, grub.
Okay, I might be able to talk about with that as well,
but I need to come out of my, um, oh, I'll just do it.
Woof, uh, uh, gruff, de-oct pusses.
Yay.
Fly men.
And I will, first of all,
cast lesser restoration.
Oh.
Oh, fuck.
Hold on.
It is just touch instantaneous.
I will cast two lesser restorations on each of my boyoles.
So you watch as this seems to neutralize the poison in their bodies completely.
The swelling goes down,
their veins return to a normal color,
that feverish burning.
in you, Rowan, dissipates immediately.
You're still quite sick and, you know,
by the poison damage and things like that,
that still lingers, obviously,
but the actual poison condition now goes away entirely.
For reference, that was going to last four hours.
Oh, wow.
Pretty rough.
I'm not gonna be able to know that much,
so you always be careful, okay?
Watch what you're touching.
I will.
I feel so much better, thank you.
No worries.
I'm gonna save the healing for now, okay?
Just in case, but maybe heal yourself if you can.
Oh, I can do that, yes.
I can also do that.
Right, can all of you just keep an eye out
while I cast this spell?
Just make sure nothing sneaks up on me.
Of course.
All right, ring formation.
Yes.
Face outwards.
Form around gruff.
Yeah.
Santhius, you're all right, boyo.
Yes, I'm just casting a spell.
I'm arcane vigoring.
Oh.
Hmm.
I'm gonna give him some hit points back.
back.
Very nice.
Maybe I should do that now.
Yes.
Well, we're waiting.
So Xantheus does that.
So Gruff, what does this look like when you want to commune?
So I...
You could find like a patch of silt and sand.
Yeah.
I'll find somewhere nice and just a little bit of clearing.
Perhaps I'll offer myself down into a kind of a kneeling position.
Maybe I kind of like touch the kelp.
touch the kelp.
I mean, yeah, it's growing up all around you.
There are other plants, there is other life here.
The kelp definitely, you're a man of nature
and you've grown up in these kind of wild environments.
And although this isn't familiar to you,
you know when a sort of invasive species takes over an area
and your druidic magic kind of hints that to you as well.
You don't think that this blood kelp...
Natural.
It's natural, but it's been brought here
and encouraged to dominate, right?
Like, it has been aided through magic or willpower or something,
or Janja's will, or the magic of these creatures or something.
It has been encouraged to dominate this area.
And there are pockets of other flora and fauna that exist here,
but it's like it's been choked out, like the kelp is kind of taking up all the nutrients.
Is it possible then actually to, um, this is maybe just for flavor,
like, um, actually connect with some like natural.
I keep saying natural, local.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You find this kind of more bluish green, frond,
almost like big a lily pad-style underwater plant.
And it's quite thin and weak,
and you get the impression of like it's clinging onto whatever it can,
but all this kelp is just like sucking up all the,
everything that it possibly needs and is grown more than it should have.
And you can find this little plant at the base of some blood kelp,
And yeah, like reach out to that instead.
Yeah, and maybe just like, I know we're underwater and all that,
but he would probably just like, you know, cradle it in his paws
and then just, I guess, a blow on it,
just like a, you know, a stream of water this way.
Let out this breath that kind of bubbles,
the magic of your water-breathing spell allowing you to do this.
And you see as the fronds and the plant
does seem to swell and grow as if given a bolster of life
from the juridic magic within you.
What questions would you like to ask of the spell?
Sorry, this music is like, it is kind of crazy for this moment.
It's quite intense.
I would ask the location of one challenge rating creature.
I know it might not be the right creature.
Can you read out, you remind me the types on that creature?
Celestial elemental, feigned or undead.
I'm probably wrong, but I will try for it anyway.
Hello, I'm right here.
Bing!
You're not a CR10 creature.
Damn it.
So with a portal to a Plains of Existence,
I'm thinking of when Rowan met,
um,
Belletane, Berlane.
Belaine?
Belaine.
Yeah, Berlin.
Sorry, one of them.
One of the other emberts of Berlin.
Yeah.
and had that vision, that kind of communion with them.
And, like, would that have been, like, another plane of existence?
It's not a portal to.
It wasn't a portal to.
A portal would be a very specific opening to another plane of existence.
I'll take a chance with settlement, location of settlements.
And then the last one, the most prevalent kind of plant, mineral, or beast you choose which to learn.
And I'm going to say mineral, because gold is a mineral.
so I'm hoping to get a ping of that golden masthead.
Ooh, ooh.
That's a good show.
That's really good.
Okay, I'll do these in order,
and then we will take our break.
A powerful creature.
Yeah.
Celestial, you do sense a faint presence from Daisy, obviously.
You do not sense anything else.
Fiend?
You don't sense any kind of fiendish creature
within the radius of this spell necessarily.
Elemental, there is something.
As you close your eyes, you see flashes of vision.
Maybe there is a bit of fiendish element to this as well.
It's why it pings on the spell strongly.
You see, and again, you have no way of knowing where this is.
You don't know a sense of location,
but you kind of see the bow.
of a wreck ship, a massive, enormous warship,
and a great shadow sort of hiding in the hull of it,
this long, eel-like, but it must be enormous.
Creature infused with foul elemental magic,
elemental magic that has been tainted and corrupted.
The darkest depths of the oceans,
You see sort of antenna out the top of its head with a gruesome, pale green, glowing bulb at the end of it.
Its mouth splits into this enormous needle-mouthed jaw, and these dull sort of water, eyes almost of a swirling tempest itself, these glassy orbs that seem to contain the dark storm.
of the sea that you as a sailor and as a fisherman would all know too well this enormous beast
you get the sense of it coral songs pet settlement pulls away the ship it's not a settlement
whatever the nature of this spell it doesn't recognize the ship as a settlement but you
You get the sense of something else.
Not far from your current position,
maybe an hour, two hours journey depends.
A very weak signal.
But it doesn't have the same feel as the children of Lujania,
nor this pet, this creature you met before.
There is something elemental about them,
but not to the same method.
There is something more peaceful, more calm.
But also, you get flickers of fay magic.
You get flickers of chaos and rainbows and bright colors from this place.
Not far from here.
And you think you know the direction to lead you there.
Finally, minerals, gold.
Now deep beneath the silt, deep beneath the sand,
there are veins of gold down here you think you can sense,
but they're deep, deep underground, very inaccessible for you,
but a strong pulse from the north that lingers with you,
like a golden line now, like a fisher's line that's been yanked,
taught, this golden thread leads you on.
Although you don't get a vision of it,
you're almost certain that this would be the golden dragon mast,
and perhaps gold aboard the ship,
had any aboard it.
Because this is on the surface, this is not deep beneath,
this is not a mineral, this is not an ore vein
or anything like that, this is a strong concentration
of refined gold, worked gold.
And yeah, you now have a very clear path for you to follow
towards that.
Nice, nice.
Good job.
Clip-top.
With that, my friends, we will take our break,
our five minute break, our five minute break.
excellent stuff, excellent use of a spell.
What, is that a fourth or fifth?
Fifth, so that's my single fifth.
It was a big camel.
But absolutely worth it.
You do have a choice now.
You can follow that golden thread directly there.
You could investigate the settlement
that you've got a sense of.
There will, you basically, with that spell,
you will not necessarily,
you will not need to make a survival check anymore.
Instead, you will just make steady progress.
You might still encounter things along that.
way. But with that, we're going to take our five-minute break. Everybody, we will see you back
