Along the coast of the Suncrest Isles, our heroes came to a little fishing community
of Netting-on-Sea, a quiet, quaint village of local people who were unsettled by the
sudden arrival of armed and armored strangers.
Our party were dispatched to an old abandoned church of St. Tylan at the top of the cliffs
nearby and found it to be haunted and full of dangerous, deadly spirits that tried to claim
their life force. In the church, Gruffuth saw visions of a cult within the
village killing the local priestess in the name of Orjanya, Mother of the Deep, She Who
Sinks. Fearing their allies left back in the village, the party rushed back as the Bounty
of the Sea festival was underway and attempted to sneak in and disrupt the cult's plans. They
rescued Carla, a Daeva like Daisy and attempted to seek out Ser Joran Harper but were discovered
before they could and a battle ensued. The cultists were no serious threat to the
seasoned heroes and a few clever spells and abilities quickly overpowered them, but alas, the signal pyre
was lit and as the cultists were put onto the back foot, something began to emerge from
the ocean.
Monstrous crab-like humanoids blowing coral conch shell horns and lifting pennants of seaweed and blood soaked sail cloth
as their champion, Agamox the Doomclaw.
Agamox.
Agamox.
Appeared alongside them, a powerful figure
with an enormous crushing claw and a serrated greatsword
pointed upwards towards the village
and the horrors surged forwards.
And that is where we nearly begin.
There are two things we must do.
Oh.

It was almost like a postcard of like, wish you were here.
Shame about the traveling outsider cult.
So let us do a big recap of the battlefield.
We have the town square, or the village square
of Netting-on-Sea.
The Marshal's house is over on the,
what would be to camera the right side.
The east, yeah.
Yeah, to the east.
Inside of which, we currently have an unconscious
Sojourner Harper, as well as Hannah Cambric,
the mother of the Marshal, Jameson Cambric,
both members of the cult.
Gruffydd, who is currently a giant eagle,
has swept in and has been fighting with Hannah
to try and rescue Sir Joran Harper.
Just outside the Marshal's building,
we have Jameson Cambric, the Marshal himself,
and one solo remaining cultist guard.
Both now free of the whole person spell,
Jameson is now free of that,
but Xanthius has flown up on his draconic flaming wings,
his spectral wings.
It is actually flaming wings,
I should have mentioned that.
The energy of which is similar to my breath weapon.
So it's fire.
This is like draconic wings of fire.
You have flown up into the air.
You are hovering above this now wet and smoky signal pile
that they use to signal this attack on the cliffs
next to the side of the coast.
We have an animated statue currently being commanded
by Rowan, the statue of St. Talana Driftwood statue,
lumbering around wielding its mighty oar.
We have a scattering of tables and barrels
and crates from the festival scattered
around the town square.
We have a group of civilians, non-cultist civilians,
all the way at the north of the map,
just outside the Catch Tavern,
which resides on the sort of northwestern corner,
in which we have Daisy and Rowan looking out of a window,
looking down on the town square,
as well as Carla the Daver,
whose celestial spirit is a siege gunner,
and she has summoned this celestial sniper rifle,
a sort of massive Barrett 50 cal
thing of celestial energy.
Downstairs, waiting for something to do
is the incredible Mateo, the best of us, with his dagger.
He is waiting for some sort of instructions.
We have a couple of other scattered citizens, as well
as a teenage cultist who is in the process of stabbing up Ophelia
whilst she was paralyzed,
but is now, Ophelia is no longer paralyzed.
We have some market stands, some wagons,
a little bit of a rocky wall,
and then the steps that lead down to the shore itself,
where the rocky coastal cliffs and the sea meet,
upon which the forces of Agamox are surging from.
The sun-kissed Sojoran ship, its sails completely taken off,
its anchor heavily embedded into stone,
it has been purposely sabotaged to deny you a quick escape aboard it.
But that is also down in the sea.
And that, my friends, is a full recap of where we are.

May we have a recap on the most important character in all of this,
which is the Otter Lady.

who runs Auntie Ann's general store that you never went to.

With its lovely little sign of like an otter
in a little shroud, holding a load of trinkets in its hands.
She has been injured by one of the cults.
She's bleeding heavily,
but the other townsfolk have rallied around her.
There's actually one more I should have moved over,
actually, a lot.
I mean, a cultist that injured her has been...
Annihilated.
Annihilated, so let's keep going.
But, yes, she is alive, but injured currently.
I'm just making something a little easier on myself
for the old initiative at the moment.
I'm just taking a look at-

at how many boys we're actually dealing with.
Obviously, Echobox is there pretty much in the center,

With that, we are at the top of a brand new initiative,
which means the first person to go is Ophelia.
As a reminder, a little bit on the initiative order here,
we have Ophelia, the last of the remaining guard cultists,
then we come to Daisy, who I'm gonna,
you guys are gonna kind of control as a democracy,
and then I'll do all the roles and combat abilities
and stuff like that for, and then I'll do all the roles and combat abilities and stuff like that for.
And then Gruff and Rowan after Daisy.

And then I'm like way down to 10.

There is the teenage cultist who's all been grappled
by one of these non-cultist citizens
who's just like, you've betrayed us,
is shouting at this, like, you and your family
have betrayed us, like, you've brought them upon us,
and sort of shouting,
because you guys can also see about 20 feet down the steps,
emerging from the sea, you have all borne witness
to this surging tide about to come upon you.
So yeah, Ophelia's eyes are going to go wild with bloodlust,
and she's going to look down at this teenager that's been stabbing her up.
Yeah.
And, yeah, she's just going to say,
Grey Father, command this crimson to suture my wounds in your righteous name,
and she is going to bite this teenager.
Love it.
This proud little teenager, no less.
Yeah, so let's go and I get advantage
because my health is half or lower.
With advantage, natural 20.

It basically deals the damage you do.
So it's a default base.
It deals the damage equal to,
so don't forget this is crunchy crits.
So what we're looking at here is max damage plus the damage dice again plus your modifiers.
So that is 9 plus 7, so that's 16.
And then can I add my, on my blood points to that?
You can, don't forget they are max so you get six and then another D6 because it's a crit.
So that's another six. So what was I 16? 22, 23, 24, 25. I'm not raging because I was hold person.
You are, yep. That's true.
But I have, because of haste, an additional action, so I would like to do that again, please.
Well, you have extra attack anyway.
For light weapons.
Does a natural weapon count as a light weapon?
No, so extra attack is you just get two attacks a turn,
and then the haste gives you a third attack.
Well, I'm gonna do it.
So you have certain number of uses
on your life draining bite,
so do you heal the full amount, or is it half?
I heal the full amount, I believe.
You gain hit points equal to the piercing damage
dealt by the bite.
And the blood point does deal more
piercing damage than the bloint.
So that's 23.
Yeah, 23.
23 healing to start with.
And then you can bite again as long as you've got
more uses of your empowered bite.

this savage wound that just is ripped open
and just the crimson liquid drips down your throat,
covers your chin and jaw as you feel
this overwhelming warmth and your wounds begin to knit back together.
Pfft, pfft, pfft, pfft.
Amazing.
As your body is healed by this crimson blood.
But yeah, there is no more cultists left for you to attack.
There's also no blood left in that.
Mm, how's this guard looking?
He's got tuxedoed.
So this guard all the way over by Xanthias,
pretty fresh I think, I think took half damage
from a tidal wave.
Yeah, I was pretty good with him.
I mean you've got 50 feet of movement, yeah.
In fact, actually I can use Chris Trott's
newly printed little measuring tool.
Very cool.
Yeah, which would get you just in range.
This guy will have some cover on the attack roll though.
Unless it's changed, can you use movement
between extra attacks as well?

So you can just carry on with your entire attack.
You can always move between attacks.

So like you can, if you've got two attacks,
you can do 15 feet attack,
move 15 feet attack again.
Nice, so yeah, I'm going to reach over

I mean these guys weren't super tough when you guys were fighting them, right?
They're not the problem, yes. You have used all 50 feet of your movement, though.
But I have one more action.
So, I think I'm going to cast a spell.
Well, you've used your action to attack twice.
So, the haste doesn't give you an extra action,
it just lets you make another attack.
I don't believe you can use it to cast a spell. Okay.

now that he's no longer paralyzed,
he brings his shield up as this kind of blood splatters
all across his shield.
Amazing, and then I will bonus action
and get into rage.

she's just powered by this new blood power.

I mean she's now pretty far away right? Yeah there is nothing really ready for
her to attack. Can she attack Jameson? No because she's her range is 60 feet on her like
can I go up and speak to her? Yeah, you can tell her what to do.
It's free action speak, yeah.
I was super convinced by your impression of the guard.

so that she's hidden on the way down.

unless they're surprised.
No, I'm gonna say that this is just going to be a normal attack.
Doesn't matter, I got one shot anyway, watch this.

So she throws the first psychic blade,
takes the woman in the shoulder,
but doesn't quite do enough to do it.
Daisy throws a second knife,
but this time the woman lurches forward
ready to try and strike as yeah, she's gonna be unable to,
and so yeah, Daisy's panicked by this thing that appears
there, but she is out of the building, she's down there
behind some cover, that is gonna be Daisy's turn.
One more regular cultist remains.
Yes, after Daisy, we go down to, these are my,
where are my three, Xanthias, no sorry, Gruff and Rowan.
I was gonna say, that'd be amazing if it was.
Rowan.
I am still eagle, Hannah's still in front of me.
I'm gonna- Pick out the eyes.
Keep attacking.

Keep squawking away. Yeah, if you don't,
like she will kill Ser Joran Harper.

Against Hannah, I believe is gonna hit
because she doesn't have any armor on.
That would have normally missed,
but because she doesn't have her armor on,
she was prepared for the festival,
she didn't think she would need to fight.
So that's my beak.
That is five points of damage.

You can see that this hasn't even bloodied her yet.
She is a tough old warrior.

So it's hit, yeah, absolutely.
And then five, six, seven, eight points of talent damage.
Two tough old birds right now.
Another eight points.
You are tearing into this woman,
but you're nipping at her.
Like she has these bloodied wounds,
but she knows how to like,
she's like pushing your beak out the way at the last second.
She's probably, you two are just engaged
in this close fight, and there's just a madness
within this woman, she's just cackling.
Even when she was afraid of you,
there was almost this kind of adrenaline surge within her,
as she is just more than happy to keep wailing away at you.
Rules question. Yes. So you said that I have Armor of Oakenthorns up, as she is just more than happy to keep wailing away at you.

So you said that I have Armor of Oak and Thorns up,
and with that I have a reaction of Warden's Duty
where I can take any, so if she decides to attack Dorn
as an eagle, I can still take that.
Yeah, I mean that still applies even in wild shapes, right?
So I'm still gonna keep, I was toying with coming out
of Eagle Thorn, because I know it's not the best
to attack her, but I'm low on hit points,
so I just wanted that extra hit point sponge.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
You can't heal yourself when you're in Wild Shape though,
can you?
No, but I, well, with Armor of Oak and Thorns,
I get six temporary hit points on attacks.
Yeah, remember they don't stack, though,
so two attacks are stacked.
No, I haven't stacked them,
she wiped them out in the last one.
Cool, all right.
In that case, yeah, so Gruff, anything else on your turn?
That's literally all I'm gonna do.
We go to Rowan.
Just keep tanking it.
It says the animated statue does its turn after mine,
but I would kinda wanna do mine concurrently of Posse.
Yeah, I think I can kind of hear what you're going to go with,
and I think that that sounds fine.
Okay.
I try and throw my voice.
Okay.
Just with natural performance, or is this like a minor illusion,
or is this using a spell, or is this just like natural performance?
It's a natural performance.
Okay. Okay. This is going just like natural performance? It's a natural performance. Okay, okay.
This is gonna be a performance check.
It's gonna be hard to throw your voice that distance.
Very, very difficult, but doable, possible.
Shall I do the check first and then what I'm gonna say

I think you say what you say regardless,
whether the performance check is to see
whether it's believable that it's coming from the statue.
Blessed villagers of netting on sea,

against these cultists.
