I hope it was sentient.
Not to mention the evil people we've had to interview.
How I hate evil.

Welcome back to our
Welcome back to our Fair the Dragon Empire.
we find ourselves in the Battle of Netting on Sea,
a climactic, tense, long, drawn-out fight,
although not actually that long in the universe.
This is all happened in about 18 seconds.
Jesus Christ.
However...
It's chaos. It was carnage.
We have found that the forces of Agamox
and the deep children of Virginia have stormed into Netting on Sea.
The villagers have been routed, have been rallied, sorry,
by this statue of St. Toulon,
blessed by the divine state himself,
speaking directly to them,
calling them to arms to fight for their homesteads,
thankfully, masterfully done by Rowan.
They have swarmed, hoping to gain weapons
and are beating down on some of these cultists.
Meanwhile, Xanthius has conjured a wall of flame
hoping to fend off some of these creatures' attacks,
which has been successful.
It's reduced their numbers down quite significantly,
but some of the more powerful variants have managed
to spill out and engage the already weakened party.
That is where we find ourselves now.
At the top, a brand new round with Ophelia.
Hello.
Followed by Daisy, followed by Gruff and Rowan.
It's basically the whole team,
except Xantheus and then the bad guys go.
Yeah.
So I would have bonus action to continue my rage
at the end of last turn.
That's fine, yeah, absolutely.
So I'm going to dash back up onto the show.
shore not dash but I'm going to use my...
Use your hasted speed.
Yeah, to get back up onto the shoreline
to where that, if I can reach close to where the...
What's his name?
The Warrior is on the crate by Rowan.
Okay.
That's my aim.
I want to get about 10 feet away from him.
Yep, around the wall of fire.
Amazing.
Yeah, around the wall of fire.
Yep, completely avoiding that.
This is technically not there.
I would like to use one of my blood points
to use Veracity as a throwing weapon.
Okay.
To strike this.
The soldier on top of the, yep.
Yes, please.
Yes, absolutely.
That is, fuck me, a natural one.
Oh, dear, well, unfortunately, nothing you add to that
is gonna help you.
Nope, but I'm gonna try again, God damn it.
Second attack.
Same again, bro.
Another Nat 1. Oh my goodness.
Great father is not with you.
Currently, Ophelia, as you whip out with these strikes of blood,
almost these arcs, these run arcs of blood,
but the creature turns round, brings up this Starfield-like shield
as it just splatters not finding purchase.
Wait, that's so annoying.
Starfield's good.
I got so mad I chewed the top off my pen.
Intent.
Intense.
Jesus Christ.
I'm so glad I just nod my finger off.
I'm gonna bonus action cast armor of Agathis on myself.
Oh, I love it, excellent.
So you get those temp HP?
These bloody, almost spiked icicle poldrons
just slowly like merge out of Ophelia's arbor.
Love it, very cool.
All righty, end of turn.
That is the end of my turn.
Right, it's Daisy's turn now.
She does have something in her face.
She does, I'm gonna remind you,
she does have a celestial radiance,
she does have a winged form that she can
jump into if needed as well.
How low is her HP?
She is currently at 39 out of 59, so she's all right.
She's not the worst.
She could try and get to Rowan.
I think she needs to get to Rowan to use that healing.
Yeah.
Healing hands, not using hands.
So, yeah.
She could bonus action, disengage, run round to Rowan
and then healing hands him.
And that would be a full turn.
I think so, yeah.
Yep, all righty.
I can tell Rowan's not looking too hot.
He's not looking good.
It depends if you're like a bloodied yotny.
That's pretty hot.
I'm into that.
I'm into that.
Yeah, I'm really into that.
Okay, yeah, so it's, as a dis-act,
this thing is, I'm gonna get rid of this,
this is all broken.
She's gonna disengage, run around here like this.
Okay, so I look hot.
In fact, she can probably get a little bit further with movement.
My kink is three HP Yotnets, am I right?
I love it.
Six.
Nine hit points.
as all her healing hands can do, I'm afraid.
What the fuck, Daisy.
Wow.
It's 3D4, it ain't a lot.
It'll help though.
Yeah.
Yep, but that's it.
That's Daisy's full turn.
So we go to Gruff and Row in a gruff first, I would imagine.
So I'm not allowed to have Sojourn use freeboot's mark first.
It's, he takes your turn after yours.
I would say like, sojourn, RP ways, is probably like,
Gruff, leave it to me.
Get out of there, you need to help everyone.
He's kind of like, he's like drawn his weapon
and things like now, and he's ready to,
like go into the fray as what he's character this is what he is he's yelling at you I'm
gonna bonus action shulele on myself okay um I know that's what he's saying but yeah do
what you got to do it's just that if I disengage and go I can't attack anything from that
doorway okay so um unless I action dash and get myself ready to go yeah it would re-risk in an
attack of opportunity
if you don't disengage.
Oh, you're not in range of even the Scutler?
No, I'm not in range of anything.
The only thing I'm arranged of is Hannah.
Right now.
Oh, and there is the boy in the middle.
I've gotten his name there.
I can't get to him.
Well, I can't be able to do anything.
Oh, yeah, okay.
I can't do anything.
Yeah, she's just grinning.
You're stuck in here with me.
Yeah, fuck you.
19 plus loads.
It's hit.
And then that is only a one on the staff.
But it is plus Shalele.
Why have you gone off?
Which is a wisdom mod.
Plus four, five points of damage.
Five points of damage.
And I am just gonna move up to the door.
Opportunity of attack me, bro.
Okay.
Miss.
Four.
She is missed pretty much every attack apart from one.
35 foot.
35 foot gets you just outside next to this villager here.
Oh yeah, the door's down there.
Okay.
You can see that.
As so Joran, I'm going to attack her with the Hartoon.
He's going to move in, right?
Charge in.
Is there anything, as Joran, before he moves and charges in,
is there anything out the door he can see like an enemy that he can mark?
Okay, can I use the free booters mark to mark the Scutler?
Marked.
And then he will go in on Hannah.
I don't think he's going to hit the first one.
plus six is nine.
Not enough, even with a low AC.
11 plus six is 17.
Five, six, seven points of damage.
That's seven points of damage.
That bloodies her properly.
She's really tough.
As he plunges this harpoon,
your son fights like a dirty bastard
knocking me out from behind
and he's like just slamming into her as best as he can
as you hear this fight going on within the barracks.
All right, Gruff, that's your full turn.
Then we got Rowan.
Okay, you are prong.
Yes, prona, I'm going to stand up.
Half your move.
I'm going to use my wand to cast
As a bonus action, bark skin on myself.
Oh!
Is that gonna make your AC higher than currently?
No, I just read it.
Yep.
Oh.
Not gonna do that.
Yeah, it's like a set number, is it?
sets it to 16, I think, and his AC is higher.
Okay.
I'm going to look at little crabby.
Crab man.
Boy on the store's right next to me.
And cast.
Mm-hmm.
I'm going to cast.
It's a problem when he spent his whole turn
and he was like, I know what I do.
I'm going to cast barn skin.
And then he read it and he was like, fuck.
Disengage.
You can disengage just an action.
Yeah.
And fucking skedaddle to the, uh,
Mateo, the hero.
25.30 gets you about here.
The leg.
I actually know you are half movement
because you had to stand up from prone,
so you're about there.
And then...
Back to actually, there.
So you scoot towards the sort of north of town.
Yes.
Not quite back to back with Mateo in the power stance.
Not quite.
That would have been...
Wide stance.
What's tasty.
I'm going to bow.
Yes, who's looking pretty fucked?
I am.
Daisy's fine.
Daisy is hot, but she's a lot better than you are, I think.
Julia's not terrible.
Almost.
What is it 60 feet?
Hmm.
Probably yourself.
Can I healing word myself?
You can. Do you not have cure wounds?
I do.
Kill wounds heals more.
That's a full action.
Oh, it's a full action, that's right.
Yeah, it's no need to do a bonus action.
Sure.
Well, yeah, you can heal and word yourself.
Yeah, I'm gonna use a third level slot for that,
so that's 64.
That's pretty good.
Plus three.
Oh, 20.
20 HP?
20 HP to me.
Great.
And that will do, Pig.
All right.
So after Rowan, it is the madness that is
to come.
Jameson is just gonna try and swipe out
all the people he's like surrounded being beaten on.
He misses again.
Oh my god.
This guy has, he has a plus seven.
Oh my god.
And he is missing.
He's as bad as me.
Really?
Oh my god, he is as bad as me.
That one, okay.
Finally, a hit.
What's his damage here?
Two of six.
All right, I suppose, 12 points of an inch.
So he cleaves into one of the villagers
who takes a nasty axe wound, probably the guy with the axe behind him,
he's got like a big chairleg, just like,
if she cuts into him, he's just like,
you can have to hit harder than that, you traitor!
So he like gets cut into.
Awesome.
But that's Jameson's turn.
The scutler.
Oh, he's probably, yeah.
Yeah, it's going to go on the village.
It's gonna go after the villagers, four attacks.
Oh fuck, four attacks, I forgot about that.
Misses, first one, great.
Second one hits, third one misses.
Great, doesn't get the bleed.
Fourth one misses, six two, like just rolling real shit.
That is for another five points of damage to the villages.
Still up.
One is still remaining anyway, as in like,
it hasn't taken one down, like they have group HP.
So yeah, like the skull starts tearing into
tearing into these villages as well.
But they're turning around, trying to shove it away,
trying to fight, probably, like, you know, at this point,
like calling out, like, no, St. Toulin believes in us.
Please, heroes, help us.
That is, there goes.
Carla and Mateo.
Carla is going to step out of this door.
Back to back with Daisy.
You can see that the large rifle is gone.
Now she has this kind of celestial revolver
that she showed you last time.
So she is reduced in her power,
but she's still gonna kind of take a stance next to Daisy,
and she is gonna shoot up at one of these soldiers.
That is gonna be a hit, but the damage is reduced.
Now, that is gonna be nine points of damage
to one of these soldiers, which, no.
Badly wounded.
This one, which is the one that's burnt up,
from all the fire she kind of takes a blast at this one as you watch like a huge chunk
of its carapace come off and it looks really badly wounded at this point yeah um second attack
she can do the same thing uh that is another hit i feel like there's a face too
uh that's only going to be three points of damage to that one unfortunately very weakened but
not quite enough to take it out matteo is going to fuck what does peteo do go back to back with row and that's a
He moves up, he goes next to Roe, and he's like,
we've got this.
Scale Bane.
He holds up his dagger, he sees this crab man.
He's like, what have you done, Matt?
Come on, just get the kill.
If this is a Nat 20, I'm gonna laugh.
It's gonna rick into scale bane.
12 plus his bonus of 5, 17 is it hits.
And it's got like, it had like very low HP, right?
It's got very low HP.
It is only a D4 plus two.
Come on.
You need the four to kill it.
Mateo, Matteo.
Mateo.
Oh, so close.
The dagger just,
oh no.
Chorzy's rape here again.
Scale bane, just by name alone,
it should have done it.
Scale bane, you failed me.
The scales.
We need a kite bane.
Cighton bane.
Kite?
Kighton, yeah.
Caravis.
The soldiers go.
This one is gonna turn on you, Ophelia.
Yeah, let's rock it.
This one, though, senses blood.
It's gonna drop down and go after Daisy.
Uh, Daisy and Carla, as Carla just swiped at it.
It's gonna attack them both.
So, Filia, two attacks against you, I'm afraid.
Okay.
First one is a 20 to hit, not natural.
That is gonna be 12 points of slashing, half to six,
because you're raging.
Yep, and you also take five cold damage
because of armour.
Oh, it is resistant, so it's going to take two points of cold.
No problem, that's gone, and then I have one.
This is a fresh one, unfortunately.
Oh, yeah, that was good 10 p. HP.
Yep.
10 p.hp.bhapha, bam, and then the second one,
the second attack is, oh, I think that might miss, 13.
Yeah, that's a miss.
It misses, so we parry it away with Veracity.
The second one is one attack against Daisy
is going to hit, unfortunately.
four, six, nine.
Would you like me to uncanny dodge it again?
Half it down to four.
That's a one time.
It's a reaction, it uses a reaction.
Would Agamot's...
Or do I...
Attack Daisy this round.
So that's against direct attacks, right?
Uncanny Dodge.
It's against you can half any damage to her once per turn.
Yeah, it's Agamox.
Do you want me to use a run?
I use a run.
One run?
One run.
Six.
Reduce it down to three.
Fantastic.
Perfect.
She's looking all right.
She's okay.
Yep, and then the next attack is against Carla.
That is unfortunately going to hit Carla, who is going to take 8, 9, 10, 11 points of damage.
Fuck.
She was only healed for 10, unfortunately.
She was healed for 10 HP.
That's true.
I believe you healed her for 10.
The Carla goes unconscious.
Well, piss.
That is the soldier's turn.
We then go to Xanthius.
Here it is. Here's the big hero.
The problem is, mm, okay.
I mean, well, I've got one spell slot.
I could, with that one spell slot, fireball,
but they are just not standing in the right places for me,
which is just unkind if you ask me.
You get those two.
Those two are worth it.
Those two at the end.
The two in the middle.
Agamomox.
You can hit all three of these.
I think I can hit the Scuttler, yeah, I can hit the Scutler,
the Brut and Agamomx.
The Scutler who hasn't been hit yet,
but if I hit the Scutler, he'll run and just leave
the fireball range.
Yes.
But then he can't do that again, his reaction is used that.
But that is 8D6 of damage on a Dex save,
and they don't look too dex, he looks dexie,
but that's fine.
Is there any other position I can do this in,
I don't know, I'll hit Daisy if I could do anything else.
This is the best.
If you want a fireball, this is the best answer.
I think I have to fireball onto Agamox
and then that massive dude next to him.
Well, not as big as Agammox, but yeah,
it's my last spell slot, so I'll do that.
It is a deck 16 save because of my major age.
First thing's first, the Scutler
scuttles away.
Yeah, that's fine.
It does provoke an attack opportunity from the mob though.
Oh yes, of course.
They do hit.
So this is a D6 plus seven damage.
Eight points of damage to the scuttle.
And then Agamox, Dex Saving Throw.
Text 30 save 16 to eat.
He fails.
And he's an idiot.
I'm gonna use Sacrifice of the Lesser.
Picks up the brute in front of him
and uses him as a shield.
Oh wow.
That's awesome. Fair.
So he succeeds, so he still takes half damage
but he succeeds and the brute takes 3D 10 necrotic damage.
Wow.
I see basically, he's sort of draining the life off of this
to protect himself, 12, 20 necrotic damage to the brute.
That's great.
But he means that Agamox takes half damage.
The brute fails as well, so it's taking full damage.
Oh my god, okay, so 8d6, all right, here we go.
Seven on the first two, another 10, 17,
another eight, so 25, another nine, so...
So, 34, that's pretty good.
34 pure fire damage.
Hell yeah.
Uh, half of that, what, 17 to Agamox?
To Agamox.
The brute between the combined sacrifice of his master
and the fireball that just completely engulfs it
is wiped out.
Oh, nice.
But Agamox is left fairly unscathed by the creature.
Drops this charred.
Just drops of this enormous claw.
Weak.
More mother has no use for weak fodder.
Nice.
You can't hate that.
You can't hate it.
He's just so charming.
Xanthias, anything else?
I can't.
I don't have sorcery.
I feel like there's a bonus action thing
I can do with sorcery points, but I can't find it.
You got cantrips, bro.
I don't think I think I think bonus action can to it, unfortunately.
Would you like to move?
I'll produce flame.
Yeah.
Should you like to move?
Yeah, I'm going to, I'm currently 60.
Oh, also, there was some flammable things in the way.
This goes on fire, this goes on fire, I believe that.
But crucially, the pyre unlit.
Yeah.
Don't worry about the wall of flame and everything else.
Yeah.
Yeah, I really lit this place up like a beacon.
I'm going to go...
I'm going to just stay where I am.
I think everything is within my range.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
With you 120 things.
Angamok seems to be the only thing
that can really deal with you right now.
Yeah.
I mean, I could go 30 elsewhere,
but he's still...
Like, I've seen him lightning bolt me.
I don't think I can escape his reach.
So yeah, that's me.
That's me, I'm done.
All right.
After Xanthias's go,
I am going to have, spend two of my fate points,
have Agamok's cast a spell as a fate legendary action,
and he's going to cast a spell at Xanthius.
It's a fifth level spell per chance?
It's not a fifth level lightning bolt.
It's a third level lightning bolt.
So, dexterity saving throw it, please.
Dexterity save.
I'm going to use that fate, please.
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Give me one back.
Yep.
E, O, E, O, E, O, E, O, E, O, E, O, E, O,
14.
Full damage, I'm afraid.
Oh, fucking shit damage roll, though.
Really?
Ten plus.
He has roll it twice.
Well, yeah.
8.D.6.
8.6.
24 lightning damage.
Let me just consult the tomes real quick,
because I'm trying to find in this mess
if I would have gained any of my shielding.
24 though.
You didn't spend any...
You didn't do any sorcery points.
You didn't do any metamagics.
Didn't do any of my shielding.
So I don't think I have any of my shielding.
So I think I might be Roasty Toasty,
and I'm 60 feet in the sky!
You fall, Xanthius, and unfortunately,
when you take that fall damage,
it is going to mark one of your death saves
It is.
Fuck!
Go, ya, ya, roar.
Pia, ya, yeah, yeah.
Let me read that real quick, thank you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Uh, okay.
You land onto the top of the cliffs, broken.
Should you plummet from the sky?
Unconscious.
Yeah.
And one of those death saves is automatically marked.
Yeah.
That was at the end of your turn, I'm afraid.
Uh, yeah, that was.
Agamox goes next.
He does.
He is going to, now that he has his movement back,
move in to have Daisy and Rowan
within easy, striking distance of his massive claws.
First thing he sees he going to do is he is going to go after Daisy
with his crushing claw.
It's at 25 to hit.
25?
Yes.
That's going to be 10 points of bludgeoning damage
and Daisy is grappled held in its enormous claw
and lifts her up.
While she's grappled in this way, she is restrained
and will take damage at the start of her turn.
He cannot have another creature grappled
while he is grappling Daisy
and he cannot make any more crushing claw attacks
while he is holding Daisy as well.
He then swings this serrated great sword down onto Rowan.
There is my serrated great sword.
There it is.
That is a 19 to hit you, Rowan, I'm afraid.
Four.
11 slashing damage, and you are also bleeding.
Oh, interesting.
So as this kind of tears into your flesh,
it leaves this renting wound that is now gushing forth,
crimson and that is going to be his full turn the brute is dead
which means it is Hannah's go back in the the prison fight of never-ending
prison first attack is probably going to hit so during that is going to be a
22 hits it's there's going to be nine ten points of damage
okay second attack is going to be a
A 15.
Miss.
Miss, he manages to deflect it
as she just
is wailing on him within.
That brings us to the top
of a brand new round.
You're back at it.
Ophelia.
I'm back at it again.
Look at me go.
Okay, so I think Ophelia
is seeing the carnage unfolding,
Daisy Bing grappled,
Rowan bleeding.
She's going to touch the back of her neck
and just say,
I don't think Faith is going to be
enough to help me here.
And she's going to activate
her carapist armor.
Hell yeah.
This organic bio armor, like the gaver.
And after this turn as well, my potion of speed will be gonzo.
Alright, last turn to make the most of those, that extra attack and extra movement.
That means it's been one minute.
It has been a minute.
It has been a minute.
Since the start of the stealth.
So yeah, I'm going to first of all use my action to attack the warrior in front of me.
Two attacks.
Two attacks.
We've voracity, let's go, first attack.
20 unnaturally the hit.
It's a D8 plus 5 and I'm gonna use a blood point as well
to boost it to a D6.
Yeah, add an extra D6.
Yeah.
So that is 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 on the first hit.
Is that with your rage damage as well?
16. 16 with your rage damage. Excellent.
Strong blow. This thing looks, you know, taken back by that, not quite bloodied.
Second strike.
And it is vexed as well.
well so I do you get advantage yeah Vex we're very well remembered I should
remember that for Daisy as well she expects on our weapons can I fate it I already
know the result so don't worry I haven't said anything I'm gonna say you would
have to yeah you spend faith before you roll yeah I know the result so 12 is not
enough to hit unfortunately can I use my third action to strike again absolutely
that's exactly what it's for the haste then I shall and then does my Vex count
again for this one no just you used it on the next attack so you got the 12
with advantage.
Reckless.
Reckley?
You could choose to reckless now.
Yeah.
You have advantage.
Natural 20 on both tight.
Oh, both.
You want something extra because you rolled two Nat 20s.
So you rolled two ones earlier back to back and now two 20s on advantage.
The swing is wild.
Why is this attack?
What makes it special?
You tell me.
I think it's her using the armour.
the armor, her relying on something else
other than her faith to guide her, she's like,
like I need help.
This is her admitting she needs help.
Okay, the armor.
You know that this is some sort of living creature.
It senses that.
It's sense, it likes that you need it.
It likes that you want it to be useful.
And you get this sense of gratification, satisfaction.
And the chill of the grave kind of fades for a minute,
but that lust for blood, that blood pumping for you,
because that is fueling the armour.
You feel it kind of going into the armour,
feeding off of it.
It wants more.
I will say, you roll two net 20s.
Let's work out the normal damage.
So also don't forget, if you spend a blood point,
that's maximised as well.
Oh my god, how many points you got?
You can't spend more than one to increase the damage.
So that's a D6.
Plus your normal damage, it's a D8 match.
So we're looking at 14 minutes plus your bonuses,
which is, what's your total bonuses?
Plus five.
19.
And then the rage is plus two.
21.
Now roll the damage again.
So the D8 and the D6.
The D6.
13.
Another 13, so 21 plus 13, 34 points of damage.
Okay, you, as Veracity strikes into this thing,
you watch as the armor seems to almost like
wrap around your hand and almost gives extra weight behind it.
Roll another D6 of damage for me.
What?
It's only a little thing, but you did roll two Nat 20s
at the same time.
There you go.
But you feel that the armor,
You and the armor have sort of forged a bit of a connection
through this.
You think that you've maybe awoken something
in this armor that wasn't there.
And it seems to like the fact that you're wearing it now.
As you plunge the dagger into it,
this creature is ripped in heart.
And a soldier.
Ophelia, is that the rest of your turn?
You still have your movement left, actually.
I've got my movement left.
I'm gonna move up and just be another agro for Agamox.
So you move up behind Agamox?
Yes! Yes!
He like spins his head around.
I'm not healing you.
That's everything done. That's potion of speed done.
Bonus actions.
I should have done more damage with my attack against you.
I feel it's full of lightning energy.
That's true.
I forgot. What a shame.
Dead now.
Yep. That's me. That's me done so for now.
for now, Ty-Y-V-M.
Okay, in that case, it's Daisy.
What would you like Daisy to do?
Did she get out of this?
She's grappled.
Would Radiant...
So she has to take an action to break the grapple.
Her making her radiant form, she's still grappled and restrained.
She'll gain the damage bonus, but she won't be able to break the grapple.
It'll be an acrobatic second and action for her to break free.
Or she can try and attack.
She is restrained.
She would have disadvantage, but she can attack.
Can that help the grapple be removed,
or is it just an attack?
It would just be doing damage to Agammox.
Um.
At the start of her turn, though, she does take 12 points of damage.
Okay, she's taking 12 every turn, then.
Can we ruin it, use a, uh, a, uh,
I could spend some runes to reduce that.
Uh, it doesn't do one.
I will say she can't use her uncanny dodge
because it's like she can't move,
she can't dodge out of the way.
I think she'll try and get,
out of this grapples.
Yeah, he's one of the room,
so she's got one left.
Just two, I'm afraid.
So that's still 10 points of damage.
What's shit, you ruined?
Who gave them to her?
She's now at 26 out of 59, so she's about half.
She's just under half HP.
Okay, I think she's gotta get her out.
Especially if you're taking 12
at the start of her turn.
Right, acrobatics check.
12 is not enough.
I've rolled a four plus eight.
Oh.
You watch, she's struggling,
and she's like, I can't get free,
and she's like trying to wriggle and rive,
unable to move.
Okay.
That is her action, she has a bonus action
and movement, but she's restrained,
so her movement is currently zero.
Any heels or anything, like?
I don't think she has really much as a bonus action,
I'm afraid.
She has Bartic inspiration,
would that have helped the acrobatics check?
Barthic inspiration.
From Matteo.
From Matteo.
It's a 12 plus, I should.
Did you use it already?
Not on Daisy.
Not on Daisy.
12 plus 5, 17 is enough.
Oh.
Well remembered on the bardic.
So she breaks free.
Great.
She can then bonus action disengage.
And then she will go 5.10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
She just runs back here.
That is Daisy's full turn.
Rough.
Hello.
Row and after.
Bonus action, I will turn to where Xanthias fell.
I'm gonna cast Healing Word.
I would like to use a faint point to enhance it, please.
Yes, please.
We love it.
Okay, so that is, um,
I'm gonna use battle medic to re-roll it.
Okay.
Five.
One better?
One better.
Five, six, seven, eight.
Sorry, 12, 13, 14, 15, 15, 16, 17 points of here.
17.
17, yes.
Awesome.
I'm back, baby. Can't kill me.
So use the fate, I've done that.
I would like to use my action to use my leap,
and I want to leap 20 foot onto the scutland.
onto the scutler.
Bann, he comes slamming down.
Leap, sir, so Leo is with you as you leap up into the air,
you feel the hair-like energy spread through your legs.
17 to hit.
Hits?
Uh, seven, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 points of damage.
16 points of damage.
You watch as you bring the staff slamming down,
cracking this thing's carapus, ripping it into,
coming down like the dragoon you are,
slamming it down into the ground with the staff.
It's four limbs just going splayed wide
as you land on top of it, gruff.
There's only two left?
Oh.
That is all I can do currently.
I could move, but I would.
want to stay with the villagers just in case something goes.
I would then like to move to Sejoran.
Yes.
I will count that I can't take a legendary
until after Sejoran,
because it's technically still your control.
Five plus six to hit is 11.
11 is not just barely enough.
Her ace is 12.
16 to hit.
Hits.
Four points of damage.
It's a weak hit, So Joran slowing down in his old age,
holding her back, making it so that she can't get out
to anybody else, just kind of keeping her there in place.
Yeah.
Just unable to really do too much damage,
but he's at least holding her off.
At the end of that, I will spend a fate point
to legendary action Agamox.
And seeing you just perform this almighty leap gruff.
He's gonna do the same.
He is going to ride the storm.
Shit.
LANDS next to you bringing this great sword down,
crackling with storm-like energy.
That is gonna be a 29th hit.
Wow.
Weird.
That's a 19, I was one off that and that 20.
That would have been very fucking bad.
So this is gonna be,
do you have any resistance to slashing
or lightning damage or anything?
No.
In that case, I'm just gonna roll it
all together.
So, plus he does currently still have elemental weapon on.
So this is a lot.
Luckily pretty low roll though.
There's gonna be 10, 14, 20 points of damage,
make sure of slashing and lightning damage,
but you are also bleeding from that strike as well.
I need to remember that because I think I forgot it on,
actually no, Roan, you've not had a turn yet,
haven't it affects me on my turn.
So yes,
Yes, yes, it will have an effect when certain triggers take place.
I don't think that they've taken place yet.
But actually, you're a battle medic, right?
I'd say, Gruff, you would know that this kind of wound as the sword
and it crackles with storm energy as he lands,
as it calms down.
You would know that these bleeding wounds,
whenever you take an action, a bonus action, move, or a reaction,
you take 1D4 necrotic damage as you bleed out the more you do.
if you can use an action to make a DC10 medicine check
or an action to just expend a use of a healer's kit
that will end it
also if a creature is magically healed for at least five hit points
it will also heal them as well
it will also remove the bleeding effect
as it kind of tears into your flesh
so that is at the end of Gruff's turn though
yes
would there be an attack of opportunity from when he jumps
he doesn't provoke opportunities
It gets so fast, you just
come slamming down.
So, Rowan, it is your turn.
Like a trampoline party in here now.
Benevolent, GM.
Yep.
I would like to devil's bargain with you.
Yes, I will consider it.
So, I'm going to
get Bigley
large form as my bonus action.
Bonus action.
Oh.
Oh.
Just means I have an appropriate basing size for you now.
I get big.
And with my devil's bargain, I would like to use my movement to drop kick that guy backwards.
No damage, not Agamox, the one in front of Carla.
This guy?
Yes.
So you like charge forward?
But not counts in action.
You don't want it to count just as your movement.
That's the bargain.
I will spend the bargain.
he will get a strength saving throw.
It will be 11 plus what's your strength modifier.
I think it's like plus 2.
Yeah.
Plus 2.
So it'll be DC 13.
If he passes, he is not pushed back.
If he fails, I will push him back 10 feet and knock him prone.
Do you get any bonus to strength when you're bigly?
I get advantage on stuff.
Okay.
I'll increase the DC by 2 then.
I make it 50.
because you're big.
Good man.
Is that acceptable?
That's acceptable.
Do we reach an accord?
Yes.
An accord has been made.
A pact with the devil.
Oh, no.
I'll roll this in front of Trump.
I don't think I was that.
His strength is for the soldier,
plus three.
I need a 12 or higher to succeed.
Oh, dear.
Two.
Five, ten, knocked prone.
As you charge forward with your movement,
I'd say it's a drop kick, you are also not prone.
Yeah, so with my knocking prone, I lie like this next to Carla and cure wounds.
Cure wounds.
Oh, I see, okay.
Sure, love it, love that.
So that is a, I'm going to do this at fuck it, fourth level.
Okay, love it.
So that is.
Save that MPC.
Yeah.
Don't save a PC, save an MPC.
That's important.
days in it is so 2d8 and then 1d8 for every level above first no it's 2d late
for every level above first oh good fucking god so at fourth level it'll be 8 d8 plus your
spellcastle mod that's too many in it
pretty good these days these days oh well
god you didn't heal because you fucking couldn't
He just played a paladin.
It was broken in hell that we liked it.
It's true.
Carver people talking about that smite damage, my God.
Paladins didn't need more shit.
36.
36 points of healing.
Wow.
You see Carla kind of come awake.
Hey.
Hey.
I'm really big.
You're real big.
I thought I died.
No.
There's still things, and she looks.
over, oh fuck, there's still loads.
I'm kind of using my body to protect you right now.
If you wouldn't mind to.
Yep, stay there.
All right, job done.
Sweet.
Turn done.
That's, yeah.
I bargained, I actioned, I plus action.
You've done a great, great turn, a lovely turn.
But your pose is resting on your arm, just.
It's sideways like this, legs out.
Nice.
Jameson Canberraig, you are the marshal, you're a trained soldier.
Get fucked!
You have trained your whole life.
You are being beaten up by your mop by mop by mob.
Fuck!
Ah! A five!
Okay.
A two!
It's cocked. It's cocked!
17.
He hits!
He hits!
He's hit twice in the, what, six turns that he's been in this combo?
A one and a two, damn it!
That's what he gets!
That's what you get, you're sitting, man.
Die.
Is enough to kill one of them.
No.
This one, this big man with an axe.
He just turns around and just plunges his axe in from.
He just taunt him last turn.
He did.
He did.
Have to hit harder than that.
And he does, and he kills him.
Well, I don't think he actually did hit harder than that.
All of the Scuttlers are now dead.
Scutler's dead.
They're dead.
Carla then Mateo.
Carla is going to actually literally take Rowan's advice.
and sort of use him as a bit of a human shield.
She will stand up, but sort of does that use his robot's body
to steady the, like, she summons the celestial revolver.
I think, she would she go for, no,
because it's prone and it'll have advantage against range attacks.
So she's actually going to spin around and shoot at Agamox.
So she's going to fire her celestial revolver.
I love it when NBC's getting at 20.
She doesn't, but she does hit.
She hits and does...
Ooh, nice big damage, 12 points of damage.
Okay.
Second shot, the celestial revolver, is also a hit, not a net 20.
Only for seven points of damage, though, this time.
19 total, not bad.
Yeah, and she fires, and then she will spend the rest of her movement
to basically move over next to Ophelia.
I'm sort of rush like a high.
Looking pretty energized, like most of her wounds have healed.
She kind of looks like she's basically max HP at this point.
And she's got this celestial revolver out,
but most of her power is faded.
Mateo.
Oh, fuck.
What do we do?
Take row and cover.
Come here, big boy.
How bad does gruff look?
Look.
He could do it with a little bit of help.
Oh.
Running up to Agamox?
Yeah.
Not that kind of help.
Not that kind of help.
He's going to rape.
He uses his dashing rapier.
Come on, Mateo.
It's a three.
Oh, buddy.
Bip.
However, his...
The rapier like bends.
He does, with his dashing rapier,
he gets to move five feet before, after an attack
without provoking.
Oh, good.
So he's like a fencing lunge
and then he like jumps back and he's like,
oh, that did nothing, sorry, go off.
And he runs over to Ophelia.
Yeah, get the fuck out at this point.
Yeah, he's like, uh, I'm going back to the ship.
Oh, fuck, okay.
Uh, let's be Teu done.
The last remaining soldier is gonna stand up
from Prone and Rowan you are prone
so he's gonna come and attack you
because he gets advantage.
Yes.
Natural one, great, but it's advantage, 17.
Mm-hmm, does that hit?
Meets. Meets, meets it, beats it.
Meets it, meet it, beat it, baby.
Oh, fucking two ones again.
Wow.
Dude, fucking five points of damage.
Okay, second attack.
17, four, 17.
It's gonna hit, four, that's not much better,
eight points of damage.
It's giant claw.
Their fucking toxing shields have not come into
because nobody's really hit them in melee properly or like within a range so they can
deflect it um so yeah he just runs up and starts wailing on rowan while he's down uh that is
the soldier xanthius hi there barry scott here i'm gonna stand up um for half my movement
and i'm gonna stay where i am because uh i've got range um thank you gruff thank you thank you
Thanks.
Love you.
I'm gonna, uh, sorceress burst.
Or, oh, do I, um, no, I'll do sorcerer's burst,
which is, oh, do I, do I lose my, um,
mage if I go down?
It lasts for a minute.
If it's like rage, then you probably would.
No.
No, you don't.
What?
I still have mage rage.
Oh my God.
It lasts through being downed.
That's pretty cool.
Um, so I have advantage on this.
Um, yeah, sorceress burst against Agamok's.
Uh, 19?
Uh, will hit Agamox.
Only 19 and my roles are older.
Um, that's a weird reference.
Uh, 2D8, 2D8, 2D8, 2D8, where am I, where are my device?
There's 2,000.
Oh yeah, there's a million D8 here.
So many!
Uh, I'd like this to be, he's probably resistant to lightning,
he's probably resistant to poison, he's definitely resistant to cold, uh,
Psychic.
Can you pick psychic?
Yeah.
Yeah, great.
He's got a weak mind.
11.
11 points of damage.
It doesn't chain.
Kind of holds his head to this, you know, claw that's now free, angry.
Yeah.
And that is all this guy wrote.
That's what you wrote.
This guy's me.
I'm going to spend two of my fate points to legendary action.
No.
He looks over to you, Xantheus.
No.
Beautiful little manch, I've had enough of you.
As you watch as a sphere of ice forms around it,
I'm gonna cast wall of ice on Zanthia.
I'm gonna wake up in a hundred years.
He's the man through time.
So wall of ice.
Dome!
And he domes you in a wall of ice.
You're a dome, bro.
Completely engulfing the cliff all around you.
Now, wall of ice.
You create a wall of vice on a solid surface within range,
you can form it into a hemispherical dome or a globe.
If the wall cuts through a creature's space when it appears,
he probably would have done this.
He would have aimed it on you.
The creature is pushed to one side in,
and it must make a dexterity saving throw.
Dexterity, oh, I'm good at these.
How much damage can this really do?
Now I am a sorcerer of the third circle.
No, no, not in this game you're not.
Do I have any indication of how much...
What spell level is this?
Wall of Ice, sixth level.
Yeah, I'm going to fade this deck save, I think.
I'm worried if this does damage.
Oh yeah, that's a good idea.
Second level.
Oh, 22?
It's a success.
Oh, wow.
So you are pushed to the side regardless,
but you do take half damage, which is good.
This is 10d6.
Oh, God.
Oh my God.
Um, hang on.
Because I, it turns out I did actually have some.
Yeah, go, go, go, go.
That's bad.
Um, um, how much do I spend six on recovering spot, right?
Yes.
I have two, okay.
42 points of cold damage,
21-halfed.
21-halfed.
So 21 cold damage.
Oh, 21 half.
I still...
Yeah, so it is 21 when you, because you saved.
I have two, I have 17 HP.
I have two uses of my rooms.
Oh my God.
Let's see what happens.
I'm gonna have to use them.
A six and a one, seven reduction.
So 21 down to 14.
So 21 goes down to 14.
I have three HP.
But you are trapped inside.
I am trapped inside a wall of ice.
A globe of ice.
I'm not trapped away from you.
All right, no I am.
You know what I mean?
More mother, take you to the death's beyond.
Is that recurring damage as well?
Or is it just on when it's cast?
You'll find it.
Uh.
We'll find it on something this is done.
Why?
Is that?
I know.
Mickey.
Work?
What the voice?
Oh.
Joe was great.
This is Agamoxy's turn now.
Wait.
Yeah, that was his legendary.
Oh my god.
Yeah, that was his legendary action.
Legend reaction.
He is looking pretty rough though.
You guys have hearted him really badly.
Uh, he is looking.
He is looking about bloodied.
You can see that he's kind of wheezing,
he's moving a little bit sluggish.
But I am then going to, with my crushing clog of gruff,
23.
Nine.
That is gonna be 15 points of bludgeoning damage
and you are grappled.
Okay.
However, he can't attack anybody with
his great sword.
He probably actually, I wouldn't have been stupid with him.
He would have been, he would have moved around here
and he chops into,
it's Otter Lady at the back.
No, don't you fucking dare.
Don't you fucking dare.
Serated great sword.
Yeah.
No!
No!
You get a two!
Whoa, it misses!
Yay!
This great sword slams down.
She throws herself to
the side.
Gruff is being held in his crushing claw.
No!
Just, you know, the lightning on his sword?
It's on hit, so he has to hit, unfortunately.
Fuck! That's Agamox's turn!
Get fucked.
Um, Hannah.
Hannah.
That is gonna be a 20 to hit.
Yes.
That is gonna be 11 points of damage.
Shit.
Do you down?
No.
Second attack.
Three plus five is eight.
Does not hit.
Does not hit, so Joran.
I didn't hear no fucking bell.
He's just, he's just trying to, he's swaying,
he's bloody, he's standing up.
Don't call me the barricle night for nothing.
He's just like, he's sticking to it.
All right, let us jump up.
I know it's a lot guys, but it's a brand new turn.
Yeah.
This is tough, but you're close, right?
Like, you know, this is some concentrated fire here,
but you're all looking pretty beaten up.
Speaking of concentration.
Yeah, Wall of Fire, that's gone a long time ago.
Yeah, that went down when I was down here.
One can assume wall of ice is similar.
Hopefully, yeah, hopefully.
Certainly could hope so.
Aphelia.
Yeah.
Daisy, Gruff Rowan.
I feel he's gonna turn to Carla and Mateo
and just say to them,
we can take him together,
let's all charge that fucking horrible thing!
Yes, I'm with you.
I guess I'm with you.
Yeah, she's gonna run towards...
50 feet of movement, right?
Yeah, you're in, dude.
Yep.
Gruff is like in his claw, about to be crushed.
How bad's Gruff looking?
Pretty bad.
So one crush.
Single digit, fuck.
All the crush is probably gonna take you.
I'm recklessly, go.
Okay, advantage on all these attacks.
One of the seven, you mother fucking dice!
You tempt me like this.
First attack, missus.
I don't think it's going to be enough.
Seven plus...
Seven plus six.
It's not enough.
Second attack.
Second attack, reckless again.
I need to...
Yeah, reckless is always to every attack.
You choose to reckless, there's any attack you make that turn.
No, it's on a hit.
Yes, no mind.
I'm thinking of things.
13 plus 6 19 is a hit oh okay okay okay so d8 and d6 because I have a bloomp left yes one left cool
well you'll get a new one back because you just hit as well yes okay okay okay okay
nine plus five 14 16 17 with my rage bonus 17 points of damage
A big hit.
You plunge it in it, kind of cracks some of the carapus.
Do not bother me, little needlefish.
I will bother you as much as I have to.
Is that it, Ophelia, for your turn?
That is my turn of Reckless,
and then he's got Vex, so I can attack him of advantage.
You have advantage during the next turn.
All right.
Yeah, that's me. Good.
Daisy.
Ang.
He's surrounded by allies now, so...
Just pulls out the blade.
I think I would suggest Daisy
Solicial Radiance, yeah, because it gives her a bonus
to her damage as well.
Yes.
So flying up into the air, not too high, 30 feet.
She flies up into the air.
You watch as Daisy's visage no longer resembles
the sweet innocent girl, you know,
but now a warrior, a celestial legionaire.
The wings extend out as she is going to attack.
I just want to check exactly how much bonus damage
I get from the Celestial War.
radiance, apologies, so many things.
All cool, bro.
Celestial Revelation.
There's still the guy next to Raymage equals
proficiency bonus, excellent.
So that's gonna be an extra plus three to damage here.
All right, with her radiant blade plus eight.
That is gonna be a hit, 23.
Here we go.
D6.
5 plus, what was that, 4D6, I think.
Yes, 4D6, 5D6, plus 6, plus 5 plus 8.
Oh my God, that was a lot of dice.
5D6, man, 11, 14, 15, 16, plus what did they say, 8, 16,
16, 24 points of damage.
He's looking real rough, looking real rough, is the Radiant
Blade plunges in.
Daisy's gonna send out a bonus action.
Psychic Blade is another hit.
This is just a D4, plus five.
Nine more points.
Oh.
He's in triple digits.
Fium, flume, the two blades, blam, blan.
Being slat me strength.
No, is in like he's taken triple digits of damage, basically.
Oh, boop, boom.
He just looks around more, mother.
Give me strength to deal with these man, Walker.
Gruff, you are still being held.
I would like to use wild resurgence
to regain a spell slot.
Before you do, you take damage
as he crushes you in his claw.
You would take 14 points of damage, I'm afraid.
You are knocked on conscious.
He does that through the first, on the first turn.
It's at the start of your turn,
because he has you grabbed,
he crushes you in the claw,
and you take that damage, I'm afraid.
Go down.
So the same through 10p HP as well.
I, it's just, yeah, it's just HB.
Oh, right, okay, yeah.
When he attacked me.
I would like to.
So it is still your turn.
You don't make a death same thing through
because you're at the start of your turn.
That's true.
So you are just down.
I would like to use my potion of human.
I believe it has to trigger when you make a death save.
Well, that's annoying.
Can't do anything.
Yeah, unfortunately you're just out for this turn.
Cool.
Which of healing has to trigger on.
I was gonna kill it.
Before you make a death.
I had a big old attack lined up.
Unfortunately, yeah, you were caught in the grab.
Rowan.
Excuse me.
Oh, so join. Yep, correct.
13, 14, 15, 19 to hit.
Uh, 19 will hit, absolutely.
Five, six, seven.
points of damage.
Seven points of damage.
She's looking rough, but she's still up.
That is eight plus six.
14 hits, yep, AC12.
Seven points of damage.
Another seven points of damage.
She is swaying.
You can see that she is on our last legs,
nearly ready to go down, just not quite able to.
I do think I do owe you around a villager attacks on James,
so I think I missed that from the last turn.
I'm just gonna do that real quick.
Yeah.
It would be one less now.
That is...
Oh, that was a 15, actually, I thought it was a five.
That is gonna be a hit.
So this is, that is gonna be
six, ten points of damage to Jameson.
Great.
He's not looking great, no.
But yeah, right, so that is to draw and done.
So, Rowan.
Hmm.
I got, I got fishy lad.
You got a fish man.
Do you want to stand up?
I don't know yet.
Okay.
Attacks against you are at advantage while you're prone.
Yes.
I think what I might do is stand up.
Bonus action, healing word, gruff.
Okay.
First.
Yep.
So let's do that.
Fourth level.
Okay.
So that's going to be 8D4 again.
That's a little D4.
I did this twice.
Didn't know you still have.
It's my last fourth up.
I did a dimension door and now this.
Three more.
Didn't you fourth level cure wounds, Carla?
Did I?
Yes, you did.
I did. You're right. Okay, so it's gonna be third level.
Okay, so just take 2D4 off of it then.
I've only done four so far.
Three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
19.12?
15 points.
15 HP back to graph.
Of healing, and then I'm just gonna turn around
and headbutt this guy.
Yeah, not even longsword, just,
BAM. I think just role play, I'm just pissed.
Sure, you can make a long sort of time.
But we'll count it as a headbut.
I remember this guy being very weak.
I head butt with a little stealthy sword.
This soldier,
Maybe there's someone else, actually.
Yeah, he's hurt, but he's not.
He's about to take an enlarged head to the face, though.
13.
13 to hit?
Not enough, unfortunately.
Why is it only plus one to hit?
Because you're making an unarm strike, I imagine.
The unarmed strike is plus four.
My long sword is plus one, which is weird.
I have no idea.
That should not be the case.
I don't know why.
It should at least be plus four.
But even then, I don't think that's going to be enough.
16.
Yeah, still not enough, but fortunately.
Well, you bring the sword down,
it just brings this spine shield up,
just battering your blow away, unfortunately.
I just shout backwards.
Take him down.
All right.
I got this handled.
After Rowan, it is...
That's gross.
Sorry, the damage from Daisy and everyone,
does he make Constitution on Constitution?
Yes, yes, absolutely.
Yes, he absolutely should.
So I think he takes three DC-10 concentration then.
Well, Daisy did, how much damage to him?
Quite a lot, didn't she?
She did.
34 or something.
Oh, no, the first one was like 20, some 25, I think, yeah.
Let's just, I'll call it a DC-15, like, for a fair one, for that Daisy attack.
Yeah, yeah, the rest of it was quite milder to do DC-10s for those.
So DC-15, oh, he does have a pretty good constitution.
His save is plus nine.
Wow, okay.
on the first.
All right.
Then the next one was a natural 20.
So he's not one to fail at DC-10.
And then DC-10, yeah, he puts a boss.
Shit.
He's, I mean, he's tank, you can tell this is a fully,
this is a beast of a warrior and he just maintains that concentration.
What does bleeding do? I'm bleeding.
You're bleeding, you took a bonus action
and an action, didn't you?
We did.
Where's me D? Fawr's gone.
You take two necrotic damage for both of
And have I healed for the bleeding because of the heat?
You would have done, yes, yes, that's very true.
So yeah.
Okay, okay.
That's now gone from you.
So my apologies, where was I?
I believe the only one now is Jameson Cambrick,
who was just stuck by these fucking,
first one hits,
damn it, second one misses, great.
Third one hit.
Shit, this time he is, it's a crush,
frustrations are growing.
That is going to be eight points of damage to a new villager.
I think another one's gonna go down.
That's gonna be.
That is enough to kill another villager.
No!
As he's just turning around,
carving into them with his axes.
It's been completely locked down in this fight, though.
That's so good, yeah.
It would be nightmare if he was still about.
Yeah, that crossbow.
How bad is Rowan looking?
I actually, Hafeelya did say go for this, didn't you?
I think she will just try and take an aim, aimed shot.
Although she would also want to save these guys.
Do you what Carla would want to do?
Yeah, I think, annoyingly seeing two of her, like, friends be cut down.
I think that she would kind of sprint over, sort of here.
And she's gonna,
Jameson, get away from them, bam, bam.
takes two shots at Jamieson.
She moves towards the pack of Villagers and Jameson.
Yes, yes, for podcasts, so thank you, Kim.
First attack is a hit.
That is gonna be nine points of damage.
It goes to, right, he looks really rough.
Good.
Second one is also gonna hit and he can't parry
arranged attacks, so that's gonna be another seven points.
He looks one, like a good blow is gonna finish him off.
these two radiant bullets.
And then you see she has to sort of hold open
this revolver.
She almost has to stand and concentrate
and it looks like it's going to take her an action
to reload it with like energy basically.
Okay.
But that is her.
Mateo, though, heard the call of Ophelia.
Yeah.
Sees gruff down.
5.10, 50, 20, 25.
He gets there just in time.
With his rapier.
Doing.
Five.
You were the chosen one.
Hopes up, he back up.
He gets back up.
He hops up five feet.
Back up, back up.
What you're gonna do now?
What you're gonna do now?
Those are the 15s.
This one soldier Rowan is still gonna try and finish you off.
First attack is, yeah, that's gonna hit 23.
Second attack is also gonna hit, that's a 19.
So first attack is gonna be four, five, six, eight, points of damage.
The second one is gonna be seven points of damage.
So 15 total.
We're gonna reduce one of them with Stone's endurance.
Alright, go for eight.
Yep.
Zanthius, you're next.
I reduce that by seven, so it's eight total.
Okay. I'm on one HP.
Amazing.
Sick.
Six, bro.
Is that all you got?
Oh, you got.
All right, they're here, no fail.
With that, Xanthius.
I'm in a wall of ice.
You are in a wall of ice, my friend.
Does that do anything when I start my turn here?
Nope.
Really?
Yep.
If it's ice that I remember,
it's if you bust through it
and walk through that space.
That's correct.
So basically, if you destroy a section of the wall
that leaves frigid air where it was partly destroyed,
you can destroy a 10-foot section of it,
and if you, yeah, that frigid air then can do damage.
It's time to burrow.
Can I see through it?
He's on a cliff.
Can you see through it?
Now, this is the interesting thing.
It doesn't say whether or not it is opaque
or whether you can see it says you create a wall of ice
and a solid surface, a wall of ice.
I mean, how thick is it?
Would you like to make a bargain with the devil?
I mean...
Would you like to make a bargain with the devil?
The thing is, even if I think all I could...
really do then is a mine sliver.
How far away is?
Is he more than 30 feet away?
Yeah.
Gah!
Gah! Gah! Gah! Grapes!
Um, I am, um, uh, I'm going to, I'm going to use my dragon breath.
Okay.
And just annihilate a section of this wall?
Burn through, uh, as much of this wall as possible, 15 foot cone.
Hits.
You can't make a saving throat, just do the damage.
It's also vulnerable to fire damage, so it takes double damage.
Is it?
Very cool.
Can you not just Misty step through it?
That's what I was saying is like, it's, I would say,
because it's like a solid ice, right?
I also have zero spells slots.
It doesn't say if it's like fully, it's not like perfectly translucent ice.
You know, ice is quite frosted.
It's...
Why is it?
I was saying a devil's bargain.
I would have allowed him to see through it.
Don't have spells slots to Misty step either way.
Oh.
So it takes double damage from fire.
I do 2D10 of damage, it takes four damage.
You roll two ones.
Four, but are you serious?
Oh dear.
It's like a little light...
It's like one of those little clicker to light as...
It's like a moulon.
Yeah, just like my runes, I just let a candle.
Anybody to know.
No one's sorry, it's fine.
Do four points of damage to it.
It's got 26 left.
We can edit the Vod.
Yeah, no, we can't.
I actually, oh my fucking God.
Xanthius, wasted.
End of turn?
That was my action.
And I think I've got a produced flame
that I did last time as a,
that's, I can't use that.
Okay.
That's my full turn, I'm just a...
I'm gonna be such a big bag.
I'm gonna spend two fate points
at the end of your turn
before Agamox's to cast the spell.
Double ball.
I'm gonna do tidal wave
and catch Gruppia and Mateo in a tidal wave.
Would it drop concentration on the ice?
Tidewave, I don't believe, is a concentration spell.
Instantaneous effect.
How does that work? Because I'm still grappled by him, right?
Yeah, he can cast spells.
No, but he's, how can I get hit by it?
Just hold you out in front and then a wall of water surges forward.
Fuck an asshole.
Yeah. I'll say it won't push you with it.
Oh, that's nice.
Yeah.
So, Ophelia, Mateo, and Gruff.
Also, you're restrained, so you have disadvantage.
Well, no, the grapple restrains you.
That's part of the grapple as it causes you to be restrained.
So you have disadvantage on the deck saving throw.
There's a lot of faith.
Ophelia, Mateo, and Groff,
it doesn't say that.
It's because it's a special condition of when you are grappled
by the claw, you are also restrained.
It's not a part of being grappled,
it's a part of the restrained condition.
Okay.
Do I see this coming?
Yes, absolutely.
It's wilder.
It doesn't matter anyway.
Is that not the old light legacy rules?
No, because this is a special condition
of when this creature grapples you,
you are also restrained.
There's two separate conditions.
Yeah.
Four.
Fail off the graph.
Eight was my best with advantage.
Fail for Ophelia.
Natural 20 for Mateo.
He's out.
He takes half damage.
There it is.
He takes half damage.
He takes half damage.
Do you want the attack I've been, Mateo?
Actually, this is probably going to save his life.
Probably.
He serves.
22 points of bludgeoning damage.
Oh man.
So that's 11 for me.
Yep.
It's bludgeoning, so yeah, you half it.
Can I hellish rebuke as a reaction to this?
You absolutely can, yeah, absolutely can.
I would very much like to please.
I'm going to say gruff, because you are grappling, he's holding you.
You don't get pulled.
or like noctoproner, I think she'll just being held.
He's like basically, he opens his moor
and like this water surges forward out from him
as he's just holding you in place.
This is a deck save, 12 to beat it.
He's pretty bad at these.
Yeah, he fails, 11.
2D10 fire damage.
2d10 fire damage.
Nine.
He doesn't have any allies to you sacrifice the lesser either,
so nine points of fire damage.
Takes him two.
It's rough, he's looking rough, he's not got much left.
Right.
Couple of big hits are gonna take him out, but he is still up.
Groff's unconscious.
Fuck.
Oh yeah, because you didn't get enough healing from the last heel.
Gruff is unconscious in his hands.
Remember if it gets to Gruff's turn, Gruff takes damage automatically.
Uh, where are we in the rotation now?
Well, it's Agamox's turn.
That was a legendary at this end of your turn.
Right.
So, Agamox's turn with Gruff in his turn.
with gruff in his claw.
He's going to step to Mateo.
No, not Matteo.
Yeah.
Gruffer coming with him.
In fact, he will move around like so,
so he can get Ophelia and Mateo.
And he will make two serrated great sword attacks.
One on to Meiteo, one on two, Ophelia.
Shit.
That's a natural one.
natural one.
Oh my god.
This lucky fucking NPC.
Like, I wish this was like me protecting a NPC.
This is pure dice saving this man.
These are public roles as well.
I feel it.
Natural 20.
Yeah, there it is.
No.
It's literally.
There it is.
From a Nat 1 to a Nat 20.
I would have had advantage.
Yeah, thank you for the reminder.
Right, let me work this out then.
Just have interest.
Okay, he does have his lightning enchantment at the moment.
That's true.
That's true.
Lightning leave for four.
26.
Low on the roll, luckily, 26.
29, 30, 32.
Oh, I should separate this because you have rage.
So that would be 18 slashing damage half to nine.
to nine, then eight plus one, nine lightning damage on top.
I'm down.
She's down as well.
Yeah, it was three over.
It was just over.
Slams it, Mateo just sort of yelps
and leaps to the side as the sword comes crashing down.
That is Agamox's turn.
Shit.
We go to the top for a brand new round.
That's all right.
Oh, Xantheus, I forgot.
I owe you one more round of, not you Zanthius,
but the villagers beaten on Jameson.
No, that's for me.
That is.
I enjoy that.
Three, four.
15 is not enough to him, unfortunately.
It's their numbers are being whittled down.
They don't have the numbers to keep pummeling him as he does.
But we go to the top of a brand new round.
Ophelia, I need a death saving throw from you.
Fyola of renewal, please.
Ah, when a character is at zero HP must make a death saving throw,
they can spend one fate and roll up to three.
hit dice regaining that many hit points.
Yes, please.
Once used, the magic fades from the flower.
The Fiola of Renewal received from Lady Verithira.
Verithira.
Very nice.
Two hit dice.
Oh, still.
Four, so I've got Warlock as well.
Oh, of course, yeah.
Yep, so you're D12, so you're a Barbarian and then you're...
Yeah, D12 and a D8.
Okay. So how many was that a D4 worth?
No, no, it's up to three.
Up to three. Okay, I'm going to do my two Barbarian and one lock.
Perfect.
D8 and two D12.
Right. This is at the steep.
start of your turn as well.
So you are gonna be up for your turn.
Ooh.
15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 20, 20 to view,
23 hit points.
Wow.
23 HP, right?
You are conscious, you are alive.
Yep, 23.
It's your turn.
To put my health.
Go on.
Right.
Come, come on, T&DP.
Thank you, right.
Cool, we're there.
Right, Aphelia is going to rise,
and she is going to summon all of her anger
strike Agamox as hard as she can.
With full fucking, ugh, I'm not raging anymore, am I?
Because I was down.
You are knocked unconscious.
So I can't.
Do you have a rage about that?
No, all my rage is gone.
You can still reckless, I don't think you need
to be raging for reckless.
That's true.
So you just don't get the rage damage bonus.
It's a full rage, reckless attack against Agamox.
Here we go.
No rage.
No rage.
10 plus, fuck, 16.
It's not enough.
It's a second attack.
Second attack.
Can I fate this?
Yes, absolutely.
Okay, 19 plus 6, 25.
Hits.
Nice, and I got in blood points
I was hit and I'm getting a one back.
Cool, right, we're rocking.
Here we go.
D6.
12, 17.
17 age be.
He still stands.
It's gonna be you close.
See, the movements are sluggish,
still holding gruff's unconscious body in this one hand.
Land walk has tougher than I thought.
End of turn, Ophelia?
Bonus action, let's see.
I can't do anything with a bonus action, no.
So I am, yeah, that's me done.
I'm going to stay in his range and just piss him off.
What would you like Daisy to do?
Kill, kill!
Kill!
Idiot turns back on Daisy.
A flying Daisy.
He's got allies within range.
Keep in mind, do you want Gruff to get the kill on this?
And you also have Jameson, who could kill more of these people.
You have this thing that's probably going to kill Rowan.
Do you want her to go for Agamogs?
Or do you want to see if Gruff can get up and deliver the finishing blow?
I mean, if not, Gruff's getting crushed.
It's true.
Like, the only way to free Gruff from its grasp is...
Daisy could try and help Gruff get escape out.
She could use her action to try and free Gruff.
I have a couple of second chances, if not.
What would you like her to do?
I'd say kill the soldier on Rowan.
Yeah?
A couple of thrown out of Jameson.
I think she would want to save Rowan first, I think.
That's what Daisy would want to do.
Because Carla's already there.
Yeah, and he looks, Jameson looks bad as well.
Yeah.
So, all right, in that case, I will attack the soldier.
That is a hit.
Big sneak attack.
Big sneak attack.
Five next to it, yeah.
Plus nine.
That's big.
Come on, days.
Let's go.
21, 30.
No, no.
What are we talking about?
What did I just say?
21 plus 9?
Yeah, plus 9, 30, 30 points of damage.
Fuck.
Let's go.
Which is enough.
is enough.
Yeah!
Okay.
Radium Blades strikes into him.
With a bonus action flying up in the air, she will target Jameson.
Oh yes.
As I remember was pretty gross.
Natural one.
Ah, okay.
Misses.
Gruff.
Is he gonna crush me some more?
So you're unconscious, right?
You would take an automatic death saving throw and then you would normally make your next death saving throw.
I would like to use a potion of healing.
The actual big potion of healing?
Love it.
So like you're still semi-conscious,
just not able to like concentrate on spells or attack,
and you manage to reach in, pull out this vial,
pop the top, and you feel yourself surge with energy.
40 hit points.
Oh my God, HP, a full proper potion of healing.
Also, it removes any of the following conditions.
Bleeding, poisoned, dazed, paralyzed, blinded,
slowed, charmed, frightened, or stunned.
Just the bomb.
Restrained.
Does not remove restraint, however.
But like I said, you can still attack.
You have disadvantage on attack roles,
but you are in its grasp.
If I do a moonbeam, it's gonna get me as well, right?
Oh, most certainly you are.
So, well, no, he's sort of holding you out.
That's why the tidal wave hit you.
He's a big, because it's only five feet moonbeam, right?
It hits a five foot space.
So it doesn't do like an area around.
Cylinder up?
No, I think it, because it's got,
you've got the token there, don't you?
So unfortunately that thing, no matter where you place it,
because don't forget both Mateo and Ophelia
are also in range on this gun.
Five foot radius, 40 foot high cylinder.
So a five foot radius is like a 10 foot space.
I'd say unfortunately that is probably going to catch you in it as well.
In which case, I would look too.
But he looks really weak.
Use my Void Star ring, which has three charges on it.
He needs to make a dex saving throw of 15, please.
He's not very dexter.
I'm looking to plant it in his chest.
Yeah.
or up his face.
I'd say kind of, like, this goes two ways, right?
Like, you had disadvantage on the save
because he was holding you out
as he tidal waved you.
It's kind of the same deal here.
Like, he's going to have disadvantage
because you just plant the ring into his chest.
I'm going to give him disadvantage.
The same thing that I gave you.
Natural one.
That's okay.
It doesn't get worse than that.
You just plant the ring in.
You just watch this bright light on the ring.
Ring to ring.
Six, six, six, number of the beast!
Yes!
Six, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, eighteen, nineteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-two.
Oh, points of great.
Yes.
Well, starlight damage.
Gruff.
This beast before you, you feel it's crushing vice-like grip,
trying to squeeze the very life out of you.
You plant your paw forward into its chest and just let loose this magic
power within there is a flash of bright light blinding all of you for a second and
then when you look back there is just a hole in this creature's chest it stands for a
moment pulls you in my sister we are fine collapses to the ground
Hell yeah.
Nice, nice.
Hell yeah.
Oh man, I forgot about the sister.
There's enough one.
Gruff, you have movement and a bonus action.
I would like to advance upon Jamison.
50 kicking the shit out of the way.
Just kicking tables and chairs all the way, just advancing on him.
And I'm going to use this as a daunting roar,
but I'm literally just going to like roar at him, the word,
run!
Is the DC on your daunting roll?
It is...
Oh, fuck.
14. Wisdom 14. 14?
13.
You just watch.
He's fine.
He sees Agamox, this champion of this God
that he has dedicated himself to,
that his family have dedicated themselves to,
the thing that he hoped to bring here,
the thing that's slaughtered everything,
and sees it felled by you.
He sees the angry mob around.
No, no.
And he is terrified.
Terrified.
End of turn, Graham.
End of turn.
Rowan, I'm going to keep us in initiative
because there's a pretty important MPC
who's still in trouble.
Do you still want Sojourn't?
Yes, please, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right now, and that's like the crux of this now
is what is going to happen to Sir Jorah
because he is low on HP.
19 plus 6.
It's, I rolled a 10 plus 2, 12.
12 points of damage.
One more blow.
It's going to finish this.
He's got one more attack.
13 plus 6.
Hits.
Four points of damage.
You hear from within the building, like, you just hear,
Don't fuck with the Barnacle Knights.
And you just hear that echo out.
Oh, okay.
With that, Jameson takes off running.
The villagers concerned for their dying or dead
do not pursue.
He fleets, terrified of gruff, his family dead,
It's coal destroyed, as that brings us out of initiative.
Well done, we did it.
Hell done.
God, that was so close.
A tough fight, but.
I mean, that on top of the fight in the church,
the fight on the boat, like, there's just a long chain of stuff.
Yeah.
That was, you basically did what the DMG calls
a full day of adventuring in three fights.
I spent your daily XP budget on encounters
in three fights, basically.
So, balanced technically, but as seen,
as seen, to the fucking wire.
Exactly, I'm like, a powerful potion,
your Fiola spin, like fate, change in hands,
protect, like, NPCs nearly died, a few,
no, not friendly, like, not known NPCs,
but a few of the villages are unfortunately dead.
Otter Lady survived.
Mateo survived.
I got some more good news.
You guys level up.
That's three of being encounters.
Oh, my God.
A huge learning lesson.
Level nine?
Yep, a huge lesson in battle tactics.
Some of you having explored new avenues of power,
new aspects of yourself.
That crash, D and beyond.
So powerful.
The wall of ice around Xantheus breaks away.
Yeah, I'll let Jameson run away.
I mean, I just, I couldn't be fucked to deal with him anymore.
I mean, if you want to just try and say,
he probably has enough HP exposure,
you only have can't have, you only have cantrips, right?
I have pretty good can't do.
What's the max damage you can do with the can'trip?
I'll let him go.
If I see Gruff, like, the Wall of Ice would have gone down.
I saw Gruff order him to run up.
You see, like, the villagers are like tempted to the dead.
They're trying to put the fires out.
If the fight is over, the fight is over.
I'll accept that.
I've already had some fury.
I'm going to let him run away.
He's on this island on his own.
He's not coming back here.
How is you gonna get across the sea to wave me?
He's not, he's done for.
Oh my god, I might have some more speed.
More speed.
For real?
Yeah.
Barbarians, if you level up barbarian, it gives you more speed.
It's okay, it's not yet.
It's a bonus actually.
Wait.
Oh yeah, level seven.
Fucking hell.
With that, everybody, congratulations.
Oh, boy.
Very cool.
We did it.
Very cool.
One of the two champions of Virginia.
Oh, God yeah, there's another one.
So one thing, just before.
Before we wrap up this adventure, there's two things.
Yeah, that I'm gonna tell you.
First things first, the serrated great sword
that Agamox drops, it's made of this dark,
almost steel-colored like stone, not coral, what stone.
The hill, this doesn't look,
but it doesn't look like the same weapons
as everyone else is wielding.
This has a different sort of design to it.
This looks much more,
smithed and manufactured sharpened carefully made the hilt is wrapped with some sort of
leather the pommel shaped like a sort of twisted design like almost like the end of a
conch shell but the rest of it looks like it matches like a real sword most of their
weapons are very crude and you get the sense especially xantheus that there is magic about
this sword great cool the other thing is
is you see Agamox's body lays there.
And from within the folds of his seaweed cloak,
you can see that there's something wrapped around
like a sinewy rope.
And there is a conch shell covered in runes.
Mm-hmm.
And after a few moments as you're tending to the dead,
tending to your wounds, the ruins begin to glow
and you hear a voice coming from the conch.
speaks in a language that none of you understand.
Can I do you comprehend languages?
Yeah, you absolutely can.
Rowan, as you cast a spell, you missed the first part,
but you begin to hear a sort of repeated like,
Where are you?
What has happened?
Why have you not reported in, brother?
We are waiting.
Brother, Agamux, answer me.
As this conch shell seems to be some sort of device.
of communication.
Can I respond to it?
Yeah.
What'd you say?
Pick it up.
Hello.
I'm afraid Agamox cannot take your message right now,
but leave a message after this tone.
Beeps.
You just...
I crushed the conch.
Okay.
Oh, yeah, yeah, I mean...
Crumbles into dust.
And with that,
we're on today's episode.

Hi, this is Michelle Madison.
And I'm John Jacobson.
And we're the Video Game Outsiders podcast, and we just joined the Pickax Network.
That's right. We've been covering video game news and reviews for the past 20 years.
On everything from Xbox, PC, Switch, and PlayStation.

Anyway, if you want to hear us, if you want to know more about the show and listen to John and I argue every week,
you can do that on Video Game Outsiders.com or anywhere podcasts are available.
