Our heroes have arrived at the estate of the Ignaris Estate. They've reconnected with Lady M. Barrissa, Lady Verithera, and Sir Eldrach Ignis, having had some quite important conversations, some dragon gossip, and various other things, and they've retired to bed for a long and well-deserved long rest to be plagued by some dreams. Now, thus far, we've had Gruff, Ophelia, and Xanthias.

But Rowan, you dream of the city. there are so many rocks. There are rocks in the ground, the buildings are made of rocks, they were here when the city was built, some were here when they were moved from other places, and they all have a story, and they look at you, blink little big eyes.

Hey, Rowan! Hello, Rowan. One of them's just like, oh, Rowan, over this way, there's a great bakery, come on! And you're having the best time. This, it's just you and this city of stone. You are butt naked, naked as the day you were born, and you're skipping joyfully around,

like these big happy faces on the stones. Every single cobblestone, oh, hello. Even if when you step on it, they're like, oh, never mind. It's very silly. And you begin exploring. And as you're making your way through, you begin to hear the song of stone. It's loud here,

because, as I said, these are old stones, stones pulled from other places. This is a place of stone, like so much. And so the song of stone really resonates here. But it also mixes with another sound. It mixes with a hum. Not one that's present now in your dream, but one that you remember. The hum of the city, the hustle and the bustle, the people going about their lives. And at first it's discordant.

Like, it clashes with the song of stone, and it almost gets overwhelming at one point. It's too loud. But after a brief moment, you notice that there is subtle harmony to it. The two, one is chaotic and full of life and clashes of different voices and sounds. The other is this rhythmic beat as old as, as old as earth. But there is a harmony there. something old, built to protect, the very thing that it is now has within it. People that bring life and energy as chaotic, as wild, as confusing as it can be.

The Song of Stone is meant for this. It's meant to encapsulate to sort of bind this sound. Naked as you are, the stone's eyes and faces disappear. and now you just stand on a street, and at the end of it you see a big creature, just sleeping atop a series of crates. An alley cat, sort of a bigger than an earthhouse cat,

bigger than like a cat that we might have, but they're sleek and long-limbed, and more like a bengal cat, but with more fur, and it's sleeping. Just you can see its belly kind of rising and falling, its tail gently flicking, backwards and forwards, towards sleeping in the sun, you know, lounging. What do you do?

I don't feel like I want to disturb it, so I'll kind of sneak past. Okay. You sort of on your tiptoes, try and like kind of creep around it. Rob, keep my feet quiet, please. Okay. Thank you. You sneak around it. And, but even as you sneak around it,

you have to draw closer to kind of get past it into the next alleyway. And as you draw closer to, It doesn't wake, it doesn't stir, but you hear a voice, almost coming from this sleeping creature, but it's not a cat voice, it's an old voice, a voice that you have heard before. The city of dragons doesn't welcome the dreamer. Too many dreams of people mix here. The dreams of stone and fire, water and beast are easily lost, and dragon dreams are beyond the dreamer. But there are still some dreams the dreamer knows, dreams of ambition, dreams of survival, of being the strongest, dreams of predator and prey. A great evil is at work in the city of

dragons. The dreamer hears its song, dreams of a golden one who seeks a great power and those who have made that dream their own. Be careful, Trubodore. Tread light. You are prey in the predator's hunting ground. And then you wink. Thank you, Bengal Cat. The sun streams in from the windows, the sound of the city coming to life. Merchants and barkers begin to call out. You can hear goods trundling on rickety wagons making their way through the district. You can also begin to hear the of the Cobbold staff, like going about their day. You probably hear a like, Mm, Vricks does not need cleaning.

Get away. And they're like, you kind of hear them, like Scarper. But yeah, you all awake in your individual rooms. Daisy is fast asleep in burrito mode. Because Katie is not here, and I don't wish to keep playing Dessie. I'll happily step outside and speak with Fricks, who's being spoken to by Cobolds, I assume. that a couple of cobalts are like, we must,

the skirting board behind you, we need to dust it. Ah, my client is awake. Morning, pricks. Good morning, stands up. Are they cleaning? They appear to be. That's all right. You can let them clean.

We're all safe, all alive, right, everybody, hello. Hi, hi. It's Gruff's big day. I'm sorry, did I oversleep? Oh, no, is everyone okay? What time is it? It's early, actually. Oh, good. Oh, I've never slept.

Well, I have slept so well. I haven't slept this well in a long time. It's lovely bed, right? Oh, it's so good. The carpet is soft on Vricks' sex a skeleton. Good. Let me get dressed, and I'll be out very soon. I'll see if there's any food downstairs.

There's a bunch of stuff that's been laid out for you. He sat at the breakfast table, and if you look at his plate, he's taken, like, I don't know, celery or whatever from the, you know, credito from the breakfast bar.

and you can see on his plate, he's made a hatchball pitch out of food. And he's just kind of moving a little mini tomato around. Rowan will slam his overloaded plate down, causing all of that to just roll into the wrong places.

and they warned me of the Golden Dragonborn doing evil in this place, and others also having that same voice. Everything is song-based. Right. Yeah. And dreams, they have dreams that are different. Evil dragonborn?

What, did you? When we went through the dreaming forest. Oh. First time she's ever spoken to me? I mean, they are the dreamer. Or of, they do dream. They're not really alive. There's a lot of dreaming to be done.

Well, there is a group called the dreamers who believe that the gods didn't die. They just went away. Well, if my dream's a testament and the things that we did at these are step, I'd agree with them. Well, it does beg the question. If I heard the voice of Althe, then she can't be dead. Exactly. Althe is on our side, Gruffeth. And I think Althe is looking at you today.

So you've basically got three full days, because Varys' event is in the evening.

But also that is the same day as Gruff's Alley Cat's game. Great. It's the third of Black Callow. That's the first Alley Cats game, right? First Alley Cats game. I'm going to be so overdressed for that Ali-Cats game. You're going to be wearing that all day. I need to get ready. I'm going to rush.

But if you get the grand outfit, which is the 250 gold one, you get the default to charisma checks and advantage when you do like, you know, charming, you know, you go to charm somebody.

won't work on things like intimidation and deception. It will only really work for persuasion or, like, you know, making generic charisma checks. However, it will also mean that you have disadvantage on stealth deception checks to avoid being noticed in a crowd like that, so you're going to very much stand out. The very grand one, I didn't plan for that, but it will probably be like a D8 instead of a D4 or something like that.

It will be, like, a big upgrade. That's the same for stealth then as well. Yeah, it will have, like, you know, basically, if you get that outfit, Ophelia will not be able to be unnoticed. That's what arm, right? Yeah, it's like everything is driven towards you. The armour thing, so basically she can make it so that your armour is like integrated into the outfit,

but the better your armour, the more expensive it costs. So the way it works is it's your AC bonus. So if you're AC for like, I think it's Rowan's chain mail, is like 17. So the cost of it would be 17 minus 10, 7 times 100, so 700 gold for him to like have the armour integrated into his outfit.
