Welcome back to Althea the Dragon Empire.
Our heroes have raced out of Ashen's rest towards the impact site of crownfall,
a phenomenon where a piece of the broken moon the crown falls to Althea,
bringing with it terrible monsters and raw shards of crown steel ore.
Accompanying a group of holy knights from the Church of the Sions,
The party have travelled across the wilds to the impact site itself
and have already encountered a pack of the crown-fallen creatures
that have been brought down to Althea.
A challenging battle resulted in victory for the heroes,
but they pressed on, arriving at the impact site.
They witnessed a figure stood before a portal,
calling forth more minions at the center of the crater.
An angelic-like being with corrupted demonic ribbons of energy,
crying and screaming with torment.
Yonaria, emissary of sovereign awaits.
And that is where we begin today's episode.

These are plainer creatures, but they've been so heavily warped by magic.
They're not like normal humanoid creatures anymore.

You begin this slow descent down into the deeper parts of the valley.
You can see this ominous glow.
You begin to hear the tormented tears and crying mixed in with furious, angry screams and shouts
as you see this angelic figure stood next to an archway that has been formed out of rubble,
like stones leading to this doorway, red, gold, crimson light that looks out onto a broken,
blasted wasteland. You can see ruins and fires and everything to a place that is very clearly not
on Althea. You see some of these crownfallen beasts, these like minion-like creatures that
you've witnessed before, sort of almost bowing down in worship, looking up at this and you're
corrupted figure in absolute awe.
And as you draw closer, you all sort of managed to find a few broken pieces of ancient stone and wall and rock to hide behind.
The Holy Knights kind of spreading themselves out.
And for a moment, you think you have an opportunity.
You can ambush this creature, you can take this moment.
And then the hood kind of snaps up and you see just nothing but pure light and darkness kind of merge together
into this hood as this horrific scream echoes out across the battlefield.
The creatures all snap their heads around,
and we are going to roll initiative.
Oh, my crazies.

Well, I'm afraid to say that none of you are going fast.

And in fact, it is the horrific,
the almost tragic, angelic figure of Yanaria,
emissary of sovereign that will go first.
And she will, well, I've got all this fate.
Why not spend a little bit of it?
First thing I'm gonna do is she is going to throw her hands outwards
and these ribbons of light that almost form like wings and coils around her
blast off as three fiery strikes are going to go towards,
I would say, two of the holy warriors in the middle,
and then Sir Glory, who is in some cover.
Everybody's got a little bit of cover, but we'll see if it helps.
The first warrior is missed.
Agner, the second warrior, is missed again,
thanks to the cover, just barely striking the stone next to,
and then against Sir Glory is definitely going to hit
with a 29.

I was really hoping that their use of scorching ray
was going to be just as bad as my scorching rays.
But no, they hit once.
You see as Sir Glory is almost,
readying herself, sort of talking to Nell, the warrior next to her,
like, prepare the reliquary.
I can see one of the crown still shards just to the side of us.
As she does that, she is blasted by this beam of radiant and fire
that sort of takes on this golden light, but it burns hot as it strikes.
And you hear Segleri, ah, kind of like call out in pain as she's struck.
As she points out, I will now point out on the battlefield that, yes,
there are three chunks of rock here in the sort of what we'll call northeast,
the southeast, and then over on the sort of western side of the battlefield.
We see that would be, to my perspective, by the way,
so I guess for you guys it would be east and then north-southwest.
These clumps of rock that have landed,
you have all witnessed Crown Steel.
You've all seen it.
You can see these large unrefined chunks of that same gold, black, red metal that almost looks a little bit like Dalmaska steel.
It ripples and blends and has these veins of gold running through it.
These chunks exude an aura.
And in fact, those of you, I think currently, within 20 feet of that one in the southeast to the camera.
So that would be Daisy, Ophelia.
Maybe Percy.
Maybe Percy.
You do feel a strange tingle in the air.
And any magical energies that you possess,
so spell-like abilities,
do seem to, you feel that magical energy strengthen,
and you feel stronger in it.
For you, Daisy, this would be your healing hands,
not your radiant blades,
but like your healing hands,
and for Ophelia, this would be any spells
that you can cast.
Cool.
They are enhanced whilst you are within a certain radius of crown steel
where it has a magically enhancing effect.
It's great, actually.
However, I'm not finished on Yanaria's turn.
Four, I'm going to spend one point of fate
to use immolation bindings.
Oh, yes.
As she reaches out and I'm going to pick the first three PCs
that I can easily see, which is going to be Rowan, Daisy, and Ophelia.
She launches out and you watch as from the three shards of crown steel itself,
she almost draws power and then throws it towards you.
Hell yeah.
As you feel these bindings of fiery light try to grab onto you,
can I have dexterity saving throws from Ophiliate Rowan and Daisy, please.
Do I see this coming?
You do see it coming, I will allow danger sense.

That it would have done anything.

So, Rowan and Daisy, you both mention,
lay, throw yourselves to the side or seat cover, whatever it is.
But Ophelia, you see this coming,
and it doesn't look like it's going to be too painful.
It doesn't look like it's a powerful blast of energy.
So maybe actual reflexes aren't quite as quick,
sensing that this is a threat.
But as this ribbon of light hits you,
it quickly wraps around you,
and you can feel this burning sensation begin to burn.
away at you.
You are currently restrained,
and at the start of your turn,
you are going to take some damage.
And you can see that she's holding one hand,
almost as if holding a leash towards you,
with that.
I'm not your dog.
You just hear this sort of like,
Beasts, beasts, all beasts,
who are all beasts, everything,
nothing must survive, all must be ash,
all must be ash.
And that is gonna be the end of her turn for now.

She's definitely got legendary actions too.

The Holy Warriors spurred on.
For saints, for Sions, for Asians, for Aschon's rest,
and they just charge forward.

and begin preparing a reliquary.

You can see that John, the one with the sort of sword and cape,
one of the warriors that you've met,
he's also carrying one of these reliquary cases as well.

John and Nell all carry the reliquaries.

But they all charge forward.
Two of them are going to attack the minions,
the crownfallen beasts.

The first one hits, Agna hits hers.

who is kind of distracted with Reliquary.

basically their action is they have to pull out
these large, long, grey, engraved sort of holy reliquary boxes.
And they look quite heavy.
It looks like when they're handling one of them,
They can't do anything else because they're these massive, quite heavy things.
This is to contain the crown steel that's very far from us,
like the opposite side of the map from us.
Yes, this is that one currently.
But still, good to get it.
The crown fallen beasts shall make group attacks against John.
That is unfortunately going to be a hit.

And then against the solitary minion, which I believe is Fergal.

So, as you see these two, as John is pulling out the reliquary,

As this thing jumps onto him,
it slashes at him and leaves these almost glowing ember-like wounds,
and you see John just because,
just begin to shudder.
I think Ophelia and Gruff, you felt this.
As these creatures struck you,
you almost felt something trying to take hold of your soul.
He just starts going, I'm burning, I'm burning, I'm burning.
But he's not on fire, but he obviously feels
that something has affected him.
He is currently afflicted with Burnbright.
Oh, good.

And yeah, him and Agner both took some pretty nasty damage there.
Daisy, followed by Aphelia, followed by Rowan.
So, Daisy, you are up.

able to get 60 feet away from you but it could move 15 feet away in that case can i
move you could also cast it before you moved up as well if you wanted to have done

So one thing I will say is when you conjure the unseen servant,
when you weave the magics,
because you are within 20 feet of a crown steel shot,
This magic feels way stronger than it normally should.
I will allow you to give the Unseen Servant
a more physical form.
It's still translucent and it can't interact,
but it looks more tangible.
And it has substance to it.
So I will increase this DC by two
to see if the creature believes it to be real.
This will be a wizard saving throw.
It is not very good at these.
The nearest creatures believe it to be a real creature.
Wow.
Is that all of the ones that are facing in the middle?
I would say that's the ones facing Agna,
the two currently closest to Agna,
because they're the two closest to the audience.
Yeah, so they kind of look around sensing a new threat,
almost react as if, oh, another warrior's coming up to join them.
And it might help Agner, it might convince them
to peel off an attack, but yeah, it's gonna do something.
Cool, okay.
