Welcome back to Altheir, the Dragon Empire, everybody.
Our heroes are engaged in battle against Coral Song, singer of Orjania.
They have found the shipwreck of the glory of Palladrax,
and they've engaged in battle as Coral song sings the lure of the deep.
Various effects are taking place.
The Great Devourer has also been conjured forth,
and has currently swallowed Ophelia and Roel.
Owen. We have some charm effects in play with Daisy and Xanthius.
Gruff is tucked away at the back, kind of raining down moonbeams,
and is preparing a control water spell.
But it also seems that Carl Song may be protected by some sort of lightning shield
from some crustaceans that may be present.
But we are at the top of a brand new round.
And it is...
This is round three.
Nice. Nice, nice, nice.
But it is Daisy's turn.
She's restrained by fronds
She's restrained by fronds
But also is still charmed by Coral Song
And is unable to attack her
That's fine, just Coral Song
So I think Daisy will just try and break free of the fronts
The simplest thing with an acrobatics check
Just knife it
Oh yes, 25
Wow
No Problemo
Get out of there
And yeah, it's going to get away

What?
What's better than free.
Imagine scratching.
What per episode.
Getting that steak.
Can I have Daisy.
I imagine it be quite nice.
Swim up.
It will be fishy.
What a?
Yeah.
Oh, snake's fishy?
Yeah.
It's an eel.
Oh, it is eel, yeah, yeah.
Daisy's going to swim up to get away from the plant life
and is going to throw a radiant blade
at the thunder crab upon the ship.
Yes.
Break that lightning.
But rolled like a god.
I wish, uh, 16 is just enough.
Hey!
Except I've remembered it's got another ability.
No.
It is going to use its reaction.
It's going to use its retreat reaction,
where it moves 10 feet,
but then it tucks itself into its little shell
and makes its AC higher.
Move the moonbeam to it.
And then Daisy will throw her...
Oh no, as a bonus action,
she will activate her radiant fall.
Get glowy with it.
As she takes on the visual appearance of NIM,
her celestial soldier guardian,
becoming this sort of legionary type
celestial angelic woman.
Hell yeah.
With these great glowing wings.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Our blades become these gladius-like short swords.
And yes, this is overlaid over the small, sweet, lovely Daisy that you know.
But that is going to be Daisy's turn.
Coral Song's turn.
My dearest apologies as well, what I should have done is when I attack you,
I should have given you another wisdom saving throw.
Tom Hazel.
I attack you against the charm effect.
What to break out of it?
Yes, I should have done that when I attacked you.
Oh, I did, yeah, I did ask on my turn.
And then you said...
I fucked up.
I can do that if you all.
Absolutely see.
All right, watch this.
Wisdom, minus two.
15.
Probably not enough.
Not enough.
It's all worked out in the end.
Oh, wait, but I have advantage from my thing, right?
Because it's a magical effect.
Yeah, yeah, it's so magical effect.
Less?
Okay.
Well, there you go.
Worked out, right.
I've got a lot of things to manage, so I'm like trying to jump around.
Just cut some monsters.
Chris, Trott.
Did you roll a D6 for me, please?
Oh, here we go.
Recharge.
Recharge by Whirlpool.
Six.
Six, lovely.
Lovely.
Lovely, lovely, lovely.
So as a bonus action,
Whirlpool's back.
As Paul Sweet Daisy,
I'm going to create a whirlpool right on Daisy.
She's getting wrecked, do you?
Yeah.
As she is already just caught in the middle of it,
there is no saving throw.
She didn't need to, she's just caught into the middle of it.
As choral song's action,
Um, Rowan and Ophelia are currently inside the beast.
Yeah, I'm behind a, well, I think me and graph are kind of behind some small amount of cover.
You've got to be a cover.
You got a bit of cover.
You got a bit of cover, yeah.
But not in our brains.
Just fucking Owen.
Owen, dude.
What?
A collective name, Oval.
Oh, not Rophelia.
I guess that's the entirety of your name, so it feels a bit.
Ophel.
Roelier.
Roof.
The last roo.
So many things I could do.
Oh, that one's good.
I don't want to move too much.
Don't move.
Go out of your weird little lightning circle.
No, move over so slightly forward.
Go right through it?
No, it moves around her, it surrounds her.
Oh.
She is going to pluck one of the, as her action,
she is going to pluck one of the other Silmir
off the spike surrounding this little altar.
No, that's fine.
break its neck and then use its life essence
to bring conjure forth another little minion.
No, I forgot about the first crab.
Girl, you eat there.
Yeah, they're just basically stood,
sort of still adjust into their form
but stood next to her.
And we'll just look in your direction,
Gruff and Xanthias, almost expectantly,
as this beautiful voice is still singing out.
refusing to look their way.
And then at the end of their turn,
I will use two fate points.
Activate their next villain action.
The Deep take you as a much larger world.
Oh, nice God, where do you get that from?
That's too big.
That's novelty size.
It won't even fit on the mat.
You two are inside, so I'm gonna move you.
That's ridiculously big.
That's crazy big.
Hang on, so 10, 20, 30, 40, 40, 45 feet 1.
Gruff and Xanthius, can you make strength saving throws for me please?
Where did you get these?
Where did you get a pulse?
I can make it advantage, right?
You do because your armor of broken thorn
gives you advantage against being pushed and pulled.
Do you have advantage?
Strength saving throw.
Um, bish.
16, 17.
17 is just barely enough, actually, gruff.
Eleven, uh, however, is that, um,
You have so much fate.
This is to pull me into the center of this thing.
That's such a distance.
I'm going to use my sigillic fortress.
When an attack spell or other effect would cause me to be push-pulled or not prone,
I can expend one charge to remain where I am and not be not prone.
So both of you, with your magical reinforcements that I gave you in,
the customs so close as I built or reflavored,
you both managed to just resist this pull in.
You are still on the edges of it, Xanthia, so you're not pulled into the server.
where you are still maybe gonna take some damage
on the start of your turn.
But Gruff, you managed to completely stay out of it,
even though this force is trying to suck you in,
away from your little nook of hiding.
I'm like, come here, come over here.
But yeah, that is the end of Coral Song's turn.
I did, I did fuck you on that.
So I'm gonna learn and grow and stay the fuck away.
With that.
My next look, poor.
It's just the old buggy.
Flips map over.
We'll see.
That is going to be the end of choral song's turn.
Her song is certainly building.
That was verse two.
Boo, your song sucks, boo!
Might be something bad happens if she finishes.
With that, we then go to Ruff's turn.
You start playing the remix.
Repeat, repeat.
I should also admit, again, this is a severe world pool,
So it is, I think that is a 20-foot radius,
it's like 40 feet, so it's like a 40-foot sphere world, basically.
You're not going to allow me to swim off the map, are you?
I mean, no, because it's for stream.
Technically, it depends on what you want to do.
Like, if there's another way of doing it,
like, you can swim around, but...
First thing I'm going to do.
You could, like, swim around the rocks to come around closer to the zazi.
Yeah, you could do that, yeah, that's fine.
But the first thing I'm going to do is,
move the moonbeam.
Yes.
It's got 60 foot of movement.
Uh-huh.
Nice.
Can I hit the crab on the ship and the cluster of rude dudes?
Oh, right.
Or do I need to go just straight for?
I think you've done that before.
You can, it doesn't have to get it.
So it's going to be like 510, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 to here.
And it's going to be 40, 45, 55, 60.
We'll get it here.
So you can go and then start moving it this way.
I would rather it went towards Coral Song, the two guys,
and the crab on the other side of her.
Well, I'd say you can't get all four, unfortunately.
You can get the two minions and her or, oh, you want it to, like, pass over.
So I want it to pass over and finish on crapboy.
Okay.
So when it strikes over Coral Song,
the lightning from these two creatures.
Actually, it's a saving throw effect, isn't it?
So yeah, it will affect both of it.
It will affect them as normal.
So it passes over these.
The two little minion creatures die immediately.
Oh.
They are minions.
So they are instantly wiped out.
Coral song will make her saving through.
Constitution.
16 con.
We also see the high constitution.
13, so that is a failure.
Oh, nice.
And then it will emerge on here on the crebe.
who I will also make a same threat for,
which is also gonna be a failure.
Nice.
10, 13, it's not the biggest.
13 points of radiant damage.
Not the biggest.
Still.
Thundercrabb three.
Thunder crabs are go.
You see the Moonbeam does not obliterate this one,
this one. The other one was previously damaged.
Coral song is singed.
You can see some of her form seems to take damage.
looks over and then looks in your direction,
seeing that you are guiding this moon beam towards.
Do you have any concentration effects right now?
Oh, technically she does, but it will be PC-10.
Okay.
That is gonna succeed.
Yeah, okay.
And then I would like to swim up and away from the whirlpool,
so over the rocks.
I'm near, I've got 35 foot movement.
On the other side?
Or do you want to stay up in the air?
Can I tuck back down?
because I want to give you away from those plants.
This way?
Yeah.
What was it, 10 foot range from the plants?
10 feet you need to be, yeah.
Yeah.
Nice.
Just about, you're safe there.
All right, end of turn to graph.
Yeah, I don't have anything bonus, actually, so.
Alrighty, Ophelia.
What's the plan?
I've got some bad news for you.
The first thing is you take seven points of acid damage
and nine points of, so halved for you,
uh, four points of bludgeoning damage.
So 11 points of damage total as the digestive juices
of this creature are burning away at you
and you're also being crushed as it is almost trying
to break you down with its intestinal muscles.
Did you resist bludgeoning?
Yeah, I already thanked that.
Oh, sorry, yeah.
Yeah.
If you make a slice and time it with me smashing the poison
into that wound, that could be enough.
Okay, I'll give anything a try.
That sounds good.
So you can attack in here, but it's at disadvantage
because you are blinded and restrained.
So you are...
Please don't stab me.
Here's my voice. This is where I am.
Try and move my arm.
Okay. I'm ready.
You do still have to make it into that rock
because you have to pierce through its internal sort of structure and hide.
So disadvantage.
Straight attack roll.
Straight attack, wrong.
Fate, please.
Yes, please.
Yes.
Helping ourselves.
I'd hate to run out of fade.
Not until 2027.
27, yeah.
You kind of pierce in it.
You do feel Veracity punctures through into this creature's body.
Roll damage, make an attack.
Okay.
I mean it's flashy. I think I've got it.
Great.
Nine, ten, eleven damage.
Make a big hole.
Second sec or?
Yes, please.
Maybe like just keep slicing.
Yes.
You do feel like internal blood
kind of sprays all over you
from inside this creature as well.
Unnatural 20 again, 13 plus 7.
Yeah, holy crap.
How it's happening.
It's happening now when it counts.
Hello, 1678 damage.
Only eight points of damage.
So as you strike into this creature
if you're kind of jabbing upwards with the thing,
you can feel like it's kind of lurching
and reacting to taking damage internally.
And you almost feel it's like muscles and those flaps and muscular.
Try to regurgitate me, it's not enough.
Like you've not harmed it enough to cause it to want to spit you out, basically.
Okay, Roman, I'll hold the wound open. I'm ready.
All right.
All right. Affiliate, end of turn?
End of turn.
All right. Zanthius.
I am in a whirlpool.
You are.
This whirlpool, however, is much stronger than the smaller ones.
Okay, okay.
The damage is more severe.
That is going to be
23 points of the lodging damage.
23, okay.
It's battered by concussive, swirling currents.
Okay, I'm going to use two runes to try and nullify some of that damage.
So five less, so what, 18 damage?
18 damage, strength, constitution save of 10.
It's a little bit of flavor as well.
I am gonna have it so this rock was like ripped up
and it's down in the middle as well.
Nice.
Spin around. Cool.
Yeah, kind of...
Concentration, 18, so I've still got my aura.
Orah farming.
And then, I still can't look really towards choral song
because I still got that cursed visage.
But if I, that's if I,
if I can't harm them.
You cannot attack them or, you know,
put them into an area of effect.
The charm creature can't attack the charmer
or target the charm with harmful abilities
on magical effects.
And I would say if you put like an area of effect
in her zone, that is technically targeting them.
Okay, I will use a...
So you can attack the devourer, no problem.
Or you could attack the crab.
Yeah.
I'm going to use a bony action to Misty Step.
I want to get out of this thing, 30 feet.
Can I get to, let's see, so I'm like here, right?
5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
Okay, I can't quite get to...
You still have your movement?
Oh yeah, in that case, I will just swing all the way around
to get behind another rock, way in...
That's everyone leaving the aura if I do that.
That's really done.
That's really done.
There's not a lot of us left, it's fine.
Well, I would say that Ophelia and Rowan currently don't benefit from the aura
because they have total cover.
You are technically not.
able to affect them.
10, 50, 20, anywhere through.
I can actually land.
Yeah!
Over there.
Okay.
So, it's still kind of separated from everyone,
but I've still got some people in oras.
Okay.
And I want to, yeah, shoot a cantrip,
sorceress burst.
Okay.
At the crab on the ship.
Okay.
Because, yeah, still can't target coral, so on.
No.
14 plus 8.
Is it hit?
Is it hit?
Let's go with poison, because that poison works well.
D8, 2D8s, 2D8s.
A 6 and a 3, 9 damage.
Nine points of damage.
You see the little crab kind of shudder a little bit
and seems to, you know, its little limbs.
Always got to do the fucking thing.
You were, it can't be, your AC was high enough
to like it wouldn't have been able to stop the attack anyway.
can shoot back a lightning at me.
All that's true, it does do that though, yes, thank you.
Very good, very good, very good.
Dunductive shell, six points of lightning damage.
Oh, back at you.
Yeah, okay, concentration save.
Yes, please.
14 plus eight.
You succeed, succeed, good.
It's a strong boy.
He's a strong boy, good.
Does that one need to have done it to me on the moonbeam?
No, because it's not a direct targeted attack.
The moonbeam's actually a good way of taking these things out
or like any sort of area of effect spell,
because it's using the sort of path of the spell
to then arc the lightning back, yeah.
So, this is an aura question.
Yes.
Like, Daisy and Rowan are within the 30 feet of me.
Ophelia Rowan, they have total cover against any effect.
Anything outside the eel cannot affect them.
Fair enough.
They have to be like, you know, engulfed in the spell, I would say.
Like the energies of the magic that they are not being there.
But the snake has opened its mouth while in the aura before,
so it's probably swallowed some or something.
But it fades very quickly if it's not coming off of you.
It's your power that's enabling this effect.
Yeah.
Alright.
That's me.
That's me.
Rowan.
I think Rowan is simply put, going to grab poison.
You get the gourd.
Do I get damage, start the term?
Yes, you do. Thank you for reminding me, yes.
That is going to be 13 points of acid and 8 points of bludgeoning, so 21 total.
total to Rowan.
I will, Stone's Endurance there.
Okay.
And the D12.
That's 12.
Great.
We love that.
So what was the total?
That's 21 total.
Nice.
And then basically what I'm gonna do is swim over, well, move my way over to where
Affili was shouting.
Okay, yeah, I'd say that you can hear her, so you, like, you're restrained, so you have, like, zero speed.
But it's close enough where you can, I'd say you can, like, sort of drag yourself to nearby.
And you feel your house.
hand goes suddenly slick and wet with something.
Yeah, I'm going to push the potion bottle into that wound.
Okay, it's like a gourd, like a heavy shell.
And then pop the cork on it and just try and just hold it in the wound.
Give me, I think for this to work, because you are being restrained,
you're being crushed, there's the digestive acids, give me a,
Ooh, I will let you use either athletics or sleight of hand.
I don't think any of those are good.
Get faty with it.
Can get faty with it.
It's been a fete?
Yeah.
All right.
I'll have a plus three, actually.
This is going to determine, you're going to do this.
This isn't going to succeed no matter what.
Why I want to see is how much of the poison you get in.
Because that might affect how quickly it's affected by it.
Q1.
12.
12?
All right, good to know.
Um, so 12.
Oh, I drank some.
Oopsie.
It's not the worst failure you can give it.
It's not a great success.
So I'm gonna give this, uh, okay.
I think it's in.
Good, okay.
Wait, do we wait?
What do we do?
I don't know, I can't see.
Well, that would be your action
to like get all the, shoot the poison in.
Was that all the poison used?
Yes.
Right, okay.
I think I have an idea, and it's a bad one,
I'm going to large, large form.
It's a bonus action.
That's a bonus action.
Oh, yeah.
This is a gargantuan creature.
It can swallow large creatures.
I just want to cut some space for us.
I'd say that for, I would say,
because you're next to Ophelia,
Ophelia is no longer restrained,
because you expand the sort of cavity enough
that Ophelia, you now have a lot.
little bit of movement room as you sort of fall into Rowan's like,
but you are now being crushed like really hard Rowan as you're like,
oh no.
I have an advantage on strength, so.
Yeah, you do, yeah, so it could be useful.
But yeah, you are, you are unfortunately still restrained.
This creature can swallow large creatures.
Nice.
But I would say it buys a little bit of space.
Cool.
Thank you, Rowan.
That's okay.
So echoing in this.
Yeah, stomach.
It's a grumble.
All right.
End of turn.
For Rowan?
Yes.
End of turn.
The creature.
The creature?
Yeah, the devourer.
Oh, the devourer.
Hello.
Hi.
More things for my belly.
Xanthius.
Doesn't have anything in its mouth anymore.
No, it doesn't.
No.
Oh, 15.
Zanthius-sized hole in its mouth.
I'm going to...
I don't want to use spell slots.
I'm going to cast shield.
Okay.
Do you cast shield?
I can't shield.
Stinky.
In that case, I will tail whip.
You.
Yeah, go.
But you need to beat 19.
I do need to be 19.
21.
Yeah, no, that's not how this is meant to go.
That is only going to be eight points of damage, however.
You are pushed back.
Yeah, yeah.
Let me just do a concentration check real quick.
Natural 20.
That's good.
This is not coming from choral songs,
so the charm effect remains.
You don't get saving, bro.
Yes, that makes sense.
Because it's not from choral song.
But that is it.
It tries to bite you.
You managed to shield block as its giant jaws
trying to snap down on you,
and then it just whips its tail around
and sends you flying through the water,
a very solo leveling style.
I like that, thank you.
I know you would.
Yeah, I knew you would.
With that, that is the end of...
That is the devourer's turn.
So we go to the top of...
of the round.
Round four, fight.
Once again, the chorus of choral song is to play.
I need everybody, but Ophelia and Rowan
are immune to this, as they are inside the creature.
Wisdom saving throws, please.
Advantage.
Against a charm effect.
19 plus nine.
Success.
Oh, 20.
Natural 20.
Success.
That ends the charmed condition on Xantheus.
So, oh, but natural 20,
makes it 18, just FYI because I have minus 2.
It's still a success.
That is a success, just barely.
Okay.
Daisy's, that's two.
Has advantage, if you...
Has advantage.
19.
Nice.
Daisy is also no longer charmed.
I will tell you now, if you are charmed
and you fail that saving throw, you become dominated.
Ah!
Oh, mummy.
Yeah.
So hey, good job on that advantage for Daisy there.
Good job on my natural 20, because mine would have been the same.
Yeah.
Could be a cool coral creature though.
I don't need to be dominated by another people.
I give yourself free.
I give myself to Mommy freely.
Okay, sure.
Top of the round is Daisy's turn.
Daisy's in a little whirlpool, so she is going to take 10 points
of damage, unfortunately.
How's she looking?
She is taking 37 points of damage out of 66 HP.
Wow, wow, wow, wow.
She is bloodied.
It is also going to take most of her movement to get out of this.
She's in the middle.
We'll be using the fly speed, though, right?
Oh, yes, that's true, which I don't think for her.
Her fly speed is only 30 feet.
Oh, okay.
But she will basically swim down.
And, yeah, I guess, like, try and get this crab
again, that is going to be a hit.
But her charm is broken, so she could go for Coral Song now.
Do you want her to?
And the crabs are up, so I think they'll protect her.
Well, one crab is about to be blasted by Moonbeam, right?
So I don't think they need all three up
in order to get that effect, potentially.
Does Daisy think that, though? I don't know.
Yeah, technically, when does the crab start or finish his turn?
I didn't give them a turn
because they can't take any offensive actions.
So I would say, let's say, on Coral Sox's turn, they will act.
We'll do it on Coral Sox turn.
I think it's worth taking them all out anyway.
Yeah, okay, go for the crab on the ship.
Well, I did hit the crab.
That is going to be max damage as well.
That is going to be 14 points of damage, which is enough.
Hell yeah.
Oh, God, just out of range.
As its thunderous implosion, boom,
as it is destroyed.
Before it does get destroyed,
it would get to blast Daisy with a bit of lightning, though.
For podcast listeners,
the crab has been blue-tapped to the side of the ship,
and I have really appreciated that this whole time.
Yes, that's very cool.
I liked it as well, and I was quite pleased with my ass off.
It was very pleasing.
Yeah, because he's crazy as long as long as well.
It's underwater.
So Daisy does get a little bit of lightning blast
as she struck that first attack,
but then the attack destroys the thunder crab,
and you see that now there is no, like, aura around Coral Song,
but the one next to it does still seem to be radiating
some sort of arc, like lightning energy.
You're not sure what might affect that might have,
but it is...
With their own...
Okay, okay.
As a bonus action, I think...
Daisy is going to dash.
Yeah.
Five, ten, ten, five, ten, five, and get just a little.
a little bit over here next to Xanthias.
Two glowy boys.
Yes.
Coral songs turn.
So crab takes moon damage.
Crab takes moon damage,
which I believe is Constitution sent through.
16.
Fails.
10, 12.
It is also destroyed.
Nice, that moonbees is awesome.
So all crab's gone, now it's just DeVera and Silk's on.
Yes, as you see.
The last lightning energy, please.
Coral song is going to,
yeah, I kind of have to here.
Oh, Kim, can you roll a D6 for me please?
As this whirlpool goes away, but do I get it back?
I was like, what are my D6s?
Three, three, she does not regenerate her warpool ability.
I am.
Does Big one persist?
Big one seems to persist.
Does big one persist?
Big one persist.
Big one persist.
I am going to, because it's going to be a right pain,
do be persisting.
Coral song is going to dispel magic on Moonbeam.
And because it is a third level spell, it's automatic.
So the Moonbeam goes away.
It's done as joy.
I'm sure you will summon another one soon.
She's on me.
And then she's actually going to move
now that her crab minions are no longer protecting her.
Get out of here.
Go into your own whirlpool, please.
Oh, she's gonna fly, swim up,
so she has a good broad range of the battlefield.
And Gruffeth, no longer with any cover.
She is going to use her siren scream upon you.
Natural 20.
Oh, here it comes.
This is gonna be bad.
Remember when you were, this is going to be really nasty
because it's 4D10 damage.
Oh, fuck.
So that is going to be 49.
52. Is that a 9 it is?
61 psychic damage.
Oh, God.
Now she only gets the one attack.
You're not fine, but you're alive.
You have some temp.
I persist.
She looks in.
Having destroyed these protective minions,
having been sniping away at the back,
you cannot hide forever,
just screams, and you feel your head's just filled with this maddening,
screeching noise, blood begins to leak out of your ears
as everything in your whole body almost feels like
it's been violently shaken, disastrously so.
But yes, that is, that is correlating.
song's turn there um that'd be a bloody hell that would have been a
concentration save of like yeah what DC 30 yeah DC 30 concentration
I could think so I just spelled it yeah I was kind of done with moonbeam anyway
yeah she doesn't know that yeah yeah but that is going to be
choral songs 10 so we then go to it is gruff's turn okay um she's within
60 foot of me can I make it so that I'm without a 60 foot of her how much movement you got 35
yeah again like you know I don't think I can you can you can go like if you're doing it
specifically to get away from the counter spelling like we can just you know keep a note of
how far off the battle map you are but I don't think I if I'm here which I can just about
make it okay but I'm just trying to decide whether to do what I want to do or cure myself
I mean, that was a big blow.
It was a big blow.
It was a big blow.
And there is a big snake that might come a chomp in.
Big snake that might come a chomp in.
Yeah, but you just had a small taste of Zan, with his tail.
I am going to swim away anyway,
just to get some distance from everything.
So yeah, it's 35, so I don't know how high I can go.
But not within...
Well, you can go diagonally, so it doesn't...
Yeah.
But not within ten of fronds.
Yeah.
Well, I'm presuming the fronds are done.
fronding for the moment.
No, fronds to be, so I'm gonna assume,
I'll take that into your movement
that you're swimming around these animated plants.
That's why I kind of had Daisy move away, yeah.
The plants are all still reaching out,
like they seem to still be enraptured by the song
as it's playing.
I'm going to cast cure wounds on myself.
Wacky inflatable two, kill.
Okay.
At level two, and I'm going to use
my ampule of Saint Talan.
So if I could spend a fate point.
You may.
And then, so when I restore hit points, oh, to another creature.
Yes.
So not me.
So not you.
So put that fake point back.
Please.
Um, so I'm gonna action, cure myself, bonus action.
I could, no, I can't.
Um, I can't do anything on a bonus action.
All right.
Throw your heel.
Shipley.
Whatever you casting your heel at?
Uh, second.
Second.
Okay.
Lovely.
Um, um, I'm gonna use my heel
Rerol ones.
Rerol.
Is it just re-rolls?
I don't know.
I think it's just re-rolls.
Okay.
If you want to move on and double-ch
because I can't do.
I will do that.
In that, we would go to Aphelia.
Yeah, Philea.
I'm afraid you're in a stomach.
I have in a stomach, yes.
So damage.
Yes, please.
13 acid.
Does the blushinging do less?
Yes.
I think it's still enough.
You've created a bit of space,
but they're still like muscular,
you're crushing and things like that.
But it has resistance.
Anyway, 14 bludgeoning, so half to seven, so 20 total.
Clean's, no problem.
But you are now, your turn.
In retaliation, Ophelia is going to lash out at this thing.
Yes, recklessly with veracity.
Yes, advantage.
Two tens.
Plus seven, though, any.
What is wrong with you?
Yeah, 17 total.
It is still a hit.
It does hit just barely.
That is the AC you're looking for you.
These guys are just...
Do you want to...
These guys.
These guys are just trolling me hard to...
I primed this one.
14 damage on the first strike.
14.
I am keeping a note of how much damage you do in a single turn here.
Ah, yes.
This one's primed, if you want to.
Second, it's all right.
Second strike is a risky.
Let's go.
Tell me 10.
Swallowed.
Wood, regurged.
10 again.
17.
Hits.
I mean, it hits.
Only if I'm recklessness for all of your attacks.
15 that time.
It's okay.
Either way, it's done.
Not a crit that still hits.
12, 14 points of damage again.
I've got no blood points or anything to use.
You would have gained some.
I only get the amount plus my proficiency bonus
and I use them all in the previous encounter.
No, that's like maximum.
You can gain them in like new encounters.
So that is your maximum at a time.
Oh my God.
You were also just soaked in sneak blood.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
Sorry, mate.
I didn't realize that's how you thought it worked.
That's my fault.
No, so you can only hold a maximum amount of blood points equal to that.
But you gain them on every...
Every time you fight, yeah.
It's like a constant resource.
And the idea is with the blood fury is that you basically generate blood points
by attacking new enemies or, like, doing damage or taking damage.
We've hit it three times now.
I've hit three times.
Yeah.
You only gain it against each foe once per turn, unless it's a new foe.
Right.
So it would still be three points.
But also you were attacked at least once.
So that would have been one as well.
Yeah.
So I have...
You're pointed up.
Three?
Yeah.
Cool.
All right.
You may spend one now, yes, absolutely.
That's right.
There's a little misunderstanding on the rules.
An extra two damage, 16.
Okay.
There's a reason I ask is because you're at 28 damage.
When you deal 30 points of damage in a single turn,
I have to make a con save for this creature to see if he gets puky.
14 plus that is going to be a success in which is to retain its stomach I'm afraid
so you definitely did like a little yeah there is kind of like first tremor oh that's
always the worst bit yeah but anything else in your turn no I know it's coming that's me at
the minute you're done just yeah fighting her way out of this thing
Xanthius.
Hello there.
Old Corrosong no longer charming me,
which means I am going to get Nitro with it.
You're not free to attack.
Snake is within 30 feet, so I could Chromatic Orb,
but I do that every turn.
I will do, hmm,
I don't think my circle of power is
massively benefiting me as much as it was before.
Could I cast?
It is a 10-foot radius sphere.
Where Coral Song is now, would that also hit Snake?
Yeah.
I want to cast confusion on both their...
Counter-spell it, go on.
Just cast it, just cast it.
Nah.
Yeah.
Instead, what I'm going to do is I'm going to spend a fate point
to legendary resistance on Coral Song.
However, I do have to make it for the devourer.
Wisdom?
Wisdom?
at least 16, it might be slightly higher.
I rolled a 19.
It does have a minus.
No, it has a plus to its wisdom.
Right.
Plus wisdom, that thing.
That's wiser than me.
Most things are.
A lot of animals are actually wiser than Xanthia.
Quite few of them actually.
Yeah, they're smarter than Zanthri.
They are smart.
But yes, unfortunately, this thing,
perhaps it is its devotion to its mistress.
Perhaps it is the magic of Ojania powering through it,
but it is resistant to your attempts
to alter its mind and perception.
Clever girl, clever girl.
All right, I will bonus action.
Your little magic has any power here, Land Walker.
Apparently, apparently, apparently not.
I will regain some runes with my bonus action.
I am candlelight.
All right.
Once again, we go to.
I see it through the skin of the eel.
You can tell.
Rowan.
Do we want to?
Oh, sorry, Rowan, start for your turn.
Oh, I'm getting squeezed.
You're getting acided and squished.
Ten points of acid.
And, oh, lucky, six bludgeoning, so 16 total.
All right, I'll just, I'll raw dog that bad boy.
Raw doggs it, everyone.
Are you ready to leave?
I've been ready to leave for a long time.
I thought you were having fun.
Well, there is a little bit of fun to this, but I would like to leave, yes, please.
I'd D large form.
I think I could just do that.
Sure.
I mean, you could stay large form if you want.
Can I mention Dora's a large form?
Yeah, of course you can.
Yeah.
Big door.
Make a bigger door.
I'm gonna keep large.
Okay.
And then I'm going to- Where would you like to go?
Big dubocyst.
So I'm going to say I was not aware of this large whirlpool.
Oh.
Oh yes.
When we got swallowed.
It's true.
You weren't aware of it.
And I think I would put us back to where we were.
Yeah, do it right.
It makes sense.
I think you were, yeah, you were pretty much.
Take my hands.
My big hand.
Let's go, let's get out.
You feel yourself pulled through space rapidly fast.
We're free.
When you emerge, you immediately,
Ah!
As you've emerged,
it makes you a whirlpool of confusion.
Yeah.
Damn.
This is worse than that.
Put it back in.
Let's go back in.
It's also three-dimensional, so it's not just round.
You're also going like upside down and round you.
It's awful.
Love that, love that for you.
That is a fucking huge stone.
That is some good play.
I love that.
Makes sense, great sense.
Good job.
Snakes just had food.
That is your action, Rowan.
You still have a bonus section and movement.
Yeah, probably.
Now, I will remind you it's difficult terrain.
But you are large, so it's difficult terrain.
But you are large, so it's a lot.
It's easier for you to get out.
I'm going to give Bardick to Ophelia again.
Barthick.
Thank you very much.
It's my bony.
Bardic.
And then I'm going to use my bard.
Much movement as I can to move to the edge.
Yeah, I think you can do it because your movement's 30 feet, right?
Yeah.
So you can move 15.
So you go, like basically five, ten.
So you are just on the cusp of it, basically.
So I was holding Ophelia's hand.
Oh, now this is different because it's that half.
I do like, yeah.
Can I do that's large?
Five foot.
It's true, you aren't large.
Ten foot?
Well, look, I'll say that you can, but she's still going to be in the wob.
Like, she's going to be tucked behind you.
She'll be behind you.
Can you move her up next to me?
Yeah, she's yarta.
Get yote.
Get yoke.
Like that.
Yeah, I'd say that.
So, yeah, you can take a feeling with you.
It's a little bit.
A little bit.
Thank you.
All right.
Perfect.
Anything else, Ron?
No, I've maxed out of everything, I think.
Snake time.
Big snake.
Probably really hungry now.
Snake persist.
Big snake does persist.
Yum.
Yeah, no sign of any poisoning?
Um, so what you would see is it does seem sluggish in its movements,
but it's large creature, the poison has not taken full effect yet as it is going to sludge towards you.
I'm going to give it the poison conditions, it has disadvantage, but it is not quite unconscious yet.
You can see it's been sluggish.
Okay, okay.
Disadvantage.
But we did just see Roan and Ophelia come out,
so we can probably thumbs up.
Oh yeah, good point.
What's your plan here?
I am going to.
He's doing a thumbs up,
and then he goes upside down, so it's a thumbs down.
I cannot read him.
As it's bonus action,
it is going to use its mesmerizing lure on its head.
Oh, it's a dungle.
It's a old dangle, but I can use this
on a creature within 30 feet,
is gruff within 30 feet, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30,
that he's not.
Ha ha!
But Xanthius is.
So this is a, it's your favorite,
wisdom saving throw!
Would you like spend a fate?
Is that a charm effect?
Um, this is a charm of fame.
I'm too far away.
Daisy will have advantage.
It's a shame that it's not Daisy rolling it.
It's not Daisy rolling.
Would that be from my thing?
Because that's gone now.
No, she had advantage from the Silmir.
No.
Well, I'm not going to use fate because I have a minus two.
It's almost a fuck off.
But watch this try.
Four.
You have the dazed condition.
Yes.
Which means you can take an action, a bonus action or a move action.
Oh, fuck off.
No reaction.
Also, the devourer has advantage on the next attack it makes.
So this will now be a straight roll.
Unfortunately, dazed isn't in D&E beyond, so...
It's not.
It's one of my own creation.
That is a 27th.
Yeah, okay.
27.
With his mouth?
Yeah.
I'm about to get fucking...
There's a prediction in chat right now of does Xanthius get swallowed.
20 points of damage.
Ow!
As it bites you, you are now grappled.
Whilst you are grappled, you are also restrained.
Okay.
Okay.
I don't look good.
You're in its mouth.
But that is the end of its turn.
I'm going to shoot a flyball down its neck.
We go to...
Top of round.
Ooh, this is a fun one.
Makey wiki.
Top of a brand new round.
The song, the choral song is singing.
Key change.
It does take a, there is a key change,
it takes a darker, more morose, more moody atmosphere to it.
Down, down, down, down into the endless dark.
Oh.
The water in this area.
becomes immensely, magically dark.
Vision is now limited to 10 feet around you.
Wow, okay.
Unless it is dispelled by a powerful source of light.
So we are looking at...
Like candlelight.
No.
This would need to be something like
a daylight spell or something similar.
As everything goes very dark.
And you can tell that perhaps there is
only a few more bars of this song
A few more moments before it comes to its crescendoed end.
Oh God.
I need to bug her.
Coral salt.
I am in a mouth, R.N.
Daisy.
I'm not swallowed yet.
Um, should I can't see anything.
She is.
She is full glow.
She can try.
She can make an action, but I would say it's going to be tough,
but she can try.
How is her full glow?
Uh, her glow is not, like, again, like, it's not powerful enough to penetrate the start.
Because that's just like the light spell, basically.
This is magical darkness currently surrounding.
I think she should go for Coral Song.
I mean, you could say that to it.
You can be like, Daisy, go for Coral Song.
Like, go for it.
I think Daisy would also get away from danger being bloodied as well.
She is quite hurt.
Probably get into a safer area around here and attack Coral Song from the range.
Okay, yeah.
Can absolutely do that.
So she can disengage as a bonus action.
She has to get close to get within 10 feet.
I mean, she can attack Carl Song, but she'll just have disadvantage.
She could just get up in its face.
Yeah.
Like.
What would she want to do, though?
He is a caster, right?
Yeah.
It's probably not got many melee.
This is Daisy Fortier, I guess.
Yeah.
Up on the grill.
She won't get sneak attack because there's no allies next to them.
No, that's true, but...
We're just about to get out of this world.
That's true.
That's true.
You'll be able to join us soon.
How far can she get with a disengage?
She can get further.
Like, I've just moved her there.
Like, she's got, you know,
because she can swim up and around,
so she's got plenty of movement.
But this, because I also don't want her near the plants.
I could actually technically, like, put her,
you know, swim her.
Yeah, that's a good shout, yeah.
And then literally, she can literally swim,
like, within 10 feet of Gorosso.
It's within 10 feet.
I think, yeah, I think she,
I mean, obviously up for everyone else to,
for ideas-wise.
Oh! Oh! Oh!
She has the ability.
Kill Carl Song.
Bonus action.
Oh, she bonus action disengaged.
Let's rewind.
Let's rewind.
No, no, because she needs disengaged
to get away from the creature.
Unless she doesn't.
What's the ability, though?
No.
Daisy has the luck feat.
Right.
If she attacks Carlson with advantage,
she deals sneak attack.
Oh my God.
Does Luck do that now?
Luck, when you roll a D20 for a D20 test,
you spend one luck to take.
to give yourself advantage on the roll.
Oh, wow.
I want love.
And then advantage means sneak attack.
Advantage means sneak attack.
By proxy, that's nuts.
But yeah, because advantage.
On the first one.
Three on the next one.
That would only be a 14.
But!
Ha ha!
Daisy has homing strike!
Which is...
This is so many things.
She also is glowing.
Does she gain any bonus for a ring?
Does damage.
Okay.
If you miss an attack with your psychic
blade and miss, you can roll a D8 by and spent
and add it to the number rolled.
She is at 14.
Would she have fated as well, it's too late?
It's too late.
She needs a three or higher on her psionic die,
her radiant dye.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
A four!
It's a hit!
The blade goes like white past and then...
And then like, yeah, it's, well,
because I forget, it's kind of NIM is currently, like,
the warrior, right?
So flies up through the water, throws this blade,
almost makes it look clumsy as Carl Song just
kind of laughs
doesn't see that Nim is almost
recalling the blade like Thor
cuts through her from behind
yes and that means sneak attack
and that most importantly means sneak attack
so we are looking at
awesome
god I've got so many things to track here
I've spent one psionic die
the film wanted confirmed
6d6 plus 9
hell 6d6
6 yeah oh
14, 20, 27, plus nine.
Plus nine, 36 points of damage.
Coral song.
Stonk in a minute.
Holy crap.
What a stonk.
A hefty blow, it tears through,
cutting all of those jellyfish like membranes
away from Corrosolng, as the blade snaps back
into Nim or Daisy's hands.
Um, uh, uh, uh, bonus section, she's used everything.
That is Daisy done for the turn.
Um, hell yeah.
What turn?
Yeah.
Awesome.
I do.
Ooh.
It is now Coral Song's turn.
Oh.
Hmm.
Didn't see that coming.
Blinded, though.
What, Daisy is easily within visual range.
Corroson could see through the dark.
That's anyway, right?
Correct.
Yeah.
But I also have Rowan and Ophelia grouped up.
Owen.
This is really tough because I do have something I can do here,
but I hate doing it to characters that are not present.
Because I don't think this would kill Daisy,
but it will certainly put her on zero if it goes off.
I just need to check a spell.
My apologies.
No problem.
I can't remember what kind of saving throw it is.
It's a constitution saving throw.
Does luck?
I would give you an advantage if I spend a luck point.
Oh, I mean, okay, forgive me, Katie, Carl Song.
I'm gonna try and play Coral Song here.
Daisy just hit her for a fuck ton of damage.
Is danger, like that hurt really badly.
The thing is, like, I don't think she could have gotten me out of snake mouth,
so, like, it makes sense the turn she did last time.
No, absolutely.
Coral song is going to raise a hand, and a cone of cold is going to.
Oh, okay.
Daisy has to make a constitution saving throw.
I will spend a luck point to give her advantage.
What kind of save is it?
San?
No, my or gone.
That's gone, I'm afraid.
What kind of save is it?
Con.
Oh, con, okay, not deck.
So, also evasion work.
I'm uncanny dodge will though, and half the damage here.
11 or a 12, neither are gonna be enough.
This is gonna be full damage, so I will uncanny dodge it.
Yeah, yeah, to half the damage.
This is a sixth level, so this is 98.
What?
Halfed, okay, okay.
So that's gonna be, it's halved, it depends on the range.
11, okay.
Oh, really low damage, this is good, this is good.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11, 17, 16, 26, that was really low damage in it, really badly.
That's from all 98, 26 damage, so half is 13.
Wow.
That's really low.
That's ridiculously low.
I rolled like so many ones and twos, so many ones and twos.
And halving it as well, 13 from a sixth level spell.
So you watch as, maybe it's like the wings,
the celestial wings kind of embrace and wrap around Daisy
as she kind of spins, the ice,
kind of freezing the water around Daisy as well,
kind of chops into the ice, breaking it apart.
She is badly hurt.
She's at 53 out of 66, but she is up.
Oh my God, I didn't realize it was that close.
She was on 40, she had taken 40 damage
with the lightning blast that got knocked back.
She's tanking a bunch.
But she is looking rough.
Okay, that is, Carl Song's action.
Tom Hazel, can you roll a D6 for me, please?
Four.
Not enough.
Not enough.
I do not regenerate the whirlpool.
All right, that is the end of Coral Song's turn.
We go to Gruffeth.
Hi.
Hi.
So with Control Water, I can't see anything that says in it.
You must see.
You need to see where you're casting the spell.
No, I think we worked that out last time, yeah.
And it's got quite a far range on it as well.
300 feet and then it creates a cube of up to 100 foot which is basically the
battle map basically I would like to cast Daisy's still flying right because
they she swam up basically I would like to cast part water yeah so split
the water basically yeah I don't think you are in range five five 10 15 I'm
I'm not casting it if I'm within 60.
30, 40, 40, 45.
You are currently in range, so you would have to swim away
and then cast it.
So you are about 15 feet off the battleman at this point.
We're 15 feet.
So yeah, you conjure it, you swim away from her
and cast control water, which just happens.
And that gets, so all the water.
So you part water in the area and create,
a trench the trench extends across the spells area and separated water forms a wall on either side
the trench remains until the spell ends or you choose a different effect so i can't change it do we want
a whirlpool no no more whirlpool no good for whirl so something i didn't think about the last time you
use this is obviously you're parting the water and creating a trench so it's a cube that is up to
so this is the problem right because don't forget you are hundreds of feet from the surface i'm
going to still count that this works but in the future i don't think that
this would have worked if I'd thought about it,
because you're hundreds of feet from the surface,
a hundred foot cube would have only parted it.
Oh, the top of the cube as well.
Cube.
Yeah, so it would be...
Right, so it would 100 foot down
and then it would no longer be parted
because it would only part the water in that 100 foot cube.
Yeah, like a pocket, that's how I imagine it is a pocket.
It says a hundred foot cube, it's a hundred foot on all sides.
So we don't...
But there's also a top on the bottom.
Yeah, because it's a cube.
But, right, so, but you would,
it would go from the...
You mentioned from the top of the water.
from the waves up above,
because that's where you'd have to start it,
because that's, because if you did it,
well, if you did it below,
the water would fill back in.
It makes a big bubble.
It just says until...
I guess that's how we can argue it.
Yeah, I guess that's how we argue it.
Because I think the idea of it,
this is rules as intended,
is that you're doing a Moses, right?
If you did it underwater,
the water would just fill in from the top.
I think the idea is that you're doing a Moses.
So other effects you can do are flood,
part water, redirect flow, and whirlpools.
Right.
All I'm saying, like, it's fine to do it for this.
to do it for this, I'm just saying that,
because I'm sure that there are people saying like,
oh, it's not how it works.
I think that, I think rules as intended
it's meant to do like a Moses on the surface of the water.
I think I just thought it as a cube.
Yeah, and that's how we're going to run it now.
That's how we're going to run it now
is that you basically create a cube of over there.
So that's what we did before.
There's a magical force that's just repelling all the water.
I don't think that's what it's meant to be,
but that's how we're going to go on it.
So yeah, you basically, this cube that you see of the battle map
suddenly becomes,
that does mean you're still going to be underwater.
like you're still in the water further out but that whirlpool disappears as
there's no water great um items for the magical darkness from the song yeah well we'll find out
wouldn't we oh good point yeah well she drop we'll find out
it's like you blitz the game so oh thank god the rock as the water gruff you conjure this
this spell calling on your druidic magic
to part this water and create this pocket of safety.
You watch as this area, the darkness is bound to the water itself.
So this area, suddenly you can all see again as that,
whatever her song, it was enchanting the waters itself.
I will say, however, that her like jellyfish-like skirts,
she does not fall, she begins to gently float down to the ground.
so she is not gonna plummet out of the sky.
But that effect is gone.
The whirlpool vanishes as she kind of looks around
and sees you still in the water groff now concentrating
on this spell.
And then does the devourer drop as well?
Yeah, it was only like about 10 feet in the air,
so it will take like a D6 of damage.
How does it fare on being on land?
So that's another great question.
I'm about to get flailed.
It's going to get crushed by its mass.
Yeah, you watch as it slams and it is writhing around,
this creature cannot breathe air.
It is, you know, it is suffocating.
It's still conscious, it's still active.
It seems to be potent enough that it is fighting strength,
but it is suffocating.
Yeah, could it just forget it, yeah.
And also seems to, like, it is still a sea serpent,
so it can slither around and move.
I might try and go for the water in.
That's true.
Probably we'll try and get to the water as quickly as possible.
Okay.
But yeah, gruff, that's your action.
You've used some movement.
Anything else you'd like to do?
Can I use the rest of my movement to get in some covers?
So I've used about 15.
With you being off the battle map,
you are out in plain open war, I'm afraid.
It's like, otherwise I'm gonna have to engineer it.
You could come back in, but then you're gonna be.
Play you're gonna be.
Yeah, that's true.
Um.
us also you are still in darkness you cannot see your allies right now because that
magical darkness was like filling a lot larger than this it was like filling the whole like shipwreck
um i can't do anything on a bonus action um uh affiliate you are up next just so you know
it will be zen then row i'm just gonna i'm just gonna i'm just gonna float in the darkness
yeah just hope you know you can sort of muffled here you can hear your friends in your head and
everything else, but yeah, you are unable to see anything else.
I will trust in my friends.
Sure, love it.
In that case, Felia, who are they?
Phelia is gonna do a bitey time on Corrosong.
Yeah, it comes down.
Well, I'm gonna say that she basically floats down,
so yeah, she is down now, basically.
So you're gonna rush up.
Get in there.
Furious rage.
Yes.
Pummeling.
Yes.
I'm gonna sink my teeth into her,
and I had advantage on this because I have half my HP left.
Oh, nice.
Uh.
No, don't forget, you can do your bite stuff through Veracity as well.
Nice.
So you don't have to use your bite.
You can actually do all your bite stuff through Veracity.
So that is a unnatural 20 to hit her.
That will hit.
Amazing.
I'm going to regain some hit points from this.
And can I use my bloints as well for Damage?
Yep.
Don't forget to add this to Veracity's counter as well.
Cool.
So that is 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 14, 15, 16.
Cool.
Okay.
16 HP back and Veracity is now at 70, 80.
63 plus 16.
16.
179?
9, yes.
Okay, that was your first attack?
For Veracity.
And then I am going to strike with Veracity.
Yeah, well you have Vex, so you have advantage.
Yes.
Oh my god, unnatural 20 again.
Hits? Great.
Listen, we take the hits.
We take them hits.
10, 9, 10,000.
Drops and bars.
12, 13, 14 damage.
14 more points of damage.
You watch as Coral Song begins to bleed profusely.
She is now bloodied.
As Barasty rips into her flesh tearing
at the jellyfish like membranes.
As you now begin to see the water
is almost desperate trying to get back in
as if some force is trying to pull it back in
but isn't unable to.
But she begins to crackle with storm-like energy
and winds begin to whip around her
as if the storm itself was being conjured around her.
Hell yeah.
Anything else on your turn?
I think that is me all good.
Thank you.
I was going to stay in her area.
Yeah, keep in awesome.
Keep a busy.
In that case, we go to Xanthias.
Hi there.
I'm in a mouth.
You are in a mouth.
No, it is in a mouth of a suffocating creature.
You are.
It doesn't breathe through its mouth.
Oh, it's through its ass?
That's right.
That's weird as hell.
You are in his mouth, so you can, it is an escape.
You have to make an action to try and escape.
Does it ever in its writhing and wicked wailing,
does it snap its mouth?
Can I see through it?
You can see through it.
I'm going to bind, yeah, you can misty stepping.
Sure, sure, sure.
I have to third level of misty step out of this.
Okay.
I suppose the positioning of its head,
I have to go towards the ship.
basically no you don't have to you can oh okay it's spinning around you go where you want i will land just
uh up there um some kind of level of uh now the water's gone are these fronds uh oh yeah
okay cool oh yeah i'm not within ten of that am i we can make sure that you're not great um
that is a bony action spell uh so i have to do a can trip now yes um i will do a
Hmm. Hmm, hmm, no, it's, no, I'm not gonna do lightning.
Sorcerous first, uh, on Corrosong.
Okay. Um, make an attack roll.
I have advantage.
Uh, uh, 19.
Hits. Um, Poisson, uh, please roll an eight.
Tom Hazel, one. Please roll an eight.
Eight.
I do more damage.
Yes, the chain.
Um.
Do you roll another eight.
If you roll a D-8, if you're on a eight on a D-8, you're
on another D8.
Eight.
Does that chain?
Yep.
It chains up to a maximum of your proficiency, so four times.
E4 times.
My spell casting ability modifier, which is boosted because of my glow.
No, it doesn't boost your modifier.
Oh, you're right, no, it's my C-C.
So A-A-9.
I'm on 17 at the moment.
Come on another eight.
Six.
25?
Was that?
No.
17.
17, sorry, 23.
23 damage.
Twenty.
No.
No.
A hefty blow. What kind of damage type?
Poison. Poison. You see her, you know, purple head and like the orange kind of carapace,
almost discolors. You can see veins, black, thick veins up her neck.
She begins to suffer and choke on this poison that just fuses into her body from the spell.
Yes, yes.
Let's go. Yes. That is my whole deal.
Yeah, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
Then it is Rowan.
Just crowded, flutter.
Rowan as big boy, Rowan, is going to whip out Stone Razor.
Okay.
Which now looks like a regular size, soles.
It's like a letter opener.
Yeah.
Oh, no, because it also enlarges, right?
So it's still big even in your hands.
It's massive now.
Soenraiser squared.
Yeah.
He's going to shout as he runs towards choral song.
Yes.
Under oaths of our leader Sir Gruffeth of Tramorrow,
we will cleanse the land of O'Jania.
And our swing was my first strike.
Hell yeah.
Would you like spend a fate?
Thank you for that.
You don't have to.
I will, though.
You got four?
Yeah, go for it.
Absolutely.
Get her done.
Yeah, that hits.
Does it?
Yeah.
You tell me.
well it's 20 oh that hits it hits and then yeah sorry I'm going to equip razor
oh I thought I did no I mean I didn't equip equip it oh so yeah 2d6 plus 2 it's a weird little
second step you have to do well it also does extra damage there's an extra D6
of damage oh yeah because of the state thank you that's why you reminded me
inflicts the bleeding condition.
No, so if you read it, it does an extra D6 of damage anyway,
you can spend another fate to inflict bleeding condition.
You're right.
Cool.
It's like you made this.
Do you want to do that?
Yeah.
Okay.
Good to know.
I'm so glad.
10.
10 points of damage.
But bleeding.
Bleeding.
Yeah.
And is bleeding.
Hell yeah.
Okay.
So you bring Stone Razor down and it tears through her full.
flesh like carapus, ripping it apart.
You've corrupted this sword, but this,
I know it's true origin.
It's Othay.
That is my brothers.
Looks to you in anguish and pain.
Sorry.
You done?
Yeah.
The devourer will flee.
Oh, wow.
Into the waters and come
across a sudden gruffet as it wriggles its way.
I would say, actually.
I forgot a part of my turn, because I got so into the role play.
What would you like to do?
Bonus action, healing word, Daisy.
Bonus action, healing word, Daisy.
Okay, you can do that.
Can I just do that in mode?
Yeah, you can do that.
Thanks.
Yeah, I'm kind of .
40, 45, 50.
So it can get 50 feet and it does have reach.
I'm going to say that it probably still can reach.
Yeah, I think you're 10 feet away from it.
Yeah.
So it's going to attack you gruff.
that it's gonna be a 29.
Do you know what?
I think that hits.
Doesn't.
That's crazy that it doesn't hit.
I forgot you have 45 AC.
Mm-hmm.
22 damage.
Wee.
And that is, you are now grappled and restrained.
And I believe also concentration for control water.
Yes.
Would you like to fate?
Um, yes.
So it's 11 to beat.
Yeah, go for it.
11 to beat.
And then, sorry, it's a con, isn't it?
Yeah, because you should say me through.
19, plus two, plus four.
Yep, success.
You maintain concentration on the control water.
You are in the creature's mouth as it snapped it shut.
You are now restrained and grappled by it.
It is now also in the water, so it is breathing again.
But actually, it has disadvantage for the poison.
Let me just roll.
Oh yeah.
Awesome.
That is gonna be a miss actually because of the poison.
That's only a three.
So you can undo that 22 points of damage.
Yes, yeah.
and you are not ramped, because it is sluggish.
It kind of wriggles its way forward
as it gets into the water breathing again,
but you can see its, you know,
its eyes are almost half-lidded,
its little bobber is kind of swaying all over.
Hurry light.
Yeah, I'm hungry at the donkey.
You know, still strong, but just.
Becoming sleepier.
I don't know.
Daisy healed 20.
20 points.
Level four-feeling.
Level four healing one.
That's 8D4.
Perfect, she's still quite hurt.
She's still at half.
Bloody, but healed up.
The top of the round.
The new round.
Everybody but Graffeth as the song.
She's still singing this song as it continues,
able to maintain concentration.
That is a wisdom saving throw as the chorus returns once more.
Okay, but we all know the words by this point.
No advantage for Ophelia and Xanthras this time.
Do I get advantage?
You still do because you have the Silnir's blessing.
Oh, good.
Please.
Please.
Please.
I just don't have the blesses for all.
Higher dice.
Clearly not.
Please, please, please.
Oh, these two looks 11.
Is just barely a success.
Eight is a failure.
I'm afraid Daisy got a 16, which is a failure as well.
Gruffeth is out.
I'm out of the range, Rowan.
I got an eight as well.
You are all but Ophelia are charmed.
Finish a fight.
As, you know, Rowan, what does this look like?
You go like almost preparing to swing
when suddenly this is not the creature stood before you.
This is somebody, like something precious to you,
this musician or performer, whatever it is.
You know who it is?
It's that little old lady in episode one
that gave me the little,
the rock version.
So it looks up with you and is singing this beautiful song
and it just takes you back and you just can't bring yourself
to strike anymore.
But Aphelia, you remember the sort of the training
when you were with the Countess, you know,
being trained against these kinds of arts,
as many vampire lords and many of the undead,
you know, use manipulative magic to try and, you know,
tease secrets and things like that out.
And you, in your rage, just like,
you kind of block it out.
And she almost takes the form of the Countess for a moment,
and then this aberration, this horrific creature
is before you still.
But you see the three others are like hesitating,
like unable to strike.
It would be Daisy's turn, but she just,
staggers back, like,
kind of like reaches out
as is unable to attack this turn.
Does she have any heels or healing?
She can healing hands herself, actually.
That's very true.
Well, well pointed out.
So she will healing hands herself.
Yeah, do it.
It's only 44, but it's something.
44.
Oh, I mean I've rolled two fours and a three.
Eight, 11, 15, literally nearly maximum.
Nice.
That's awesome.
Maximum?
Neal.
Oh, one-off.
As, yeah, she just touches her chest
and feels this invigorating light feel her,
but she is charmed and unable to attack,
which means it is Coral Song's turn,
surrounded by these enemies.
She is going to...
Well, clearly you are the only one
not currently charmed Ophelia,
so she is going to try and arcane blast you.
Okay.
Disadvantage because you're in melee.
Ten.
Oh!
Correct.
Oh, can you roll a D6 for me?
Of course.
Oh, whirlpool.
Four.
Four, doesn't matter.
There's no water anymore.
No water that makes it a little tornado.
Multitech.
I have no more offensive spells.
Good, because they really hurt my feelings.
Hmm.
How injured does Ophelia look?
Um, she healed quite a lot after.
I healed a little bit, 16, and I was under half before I healed.
Are you looking for particularly damaged, unhealthy people?
Yeah.
She's a bit bruised.
Okay, I have nine HP.
Yeah, but you're far away.
I'm not that far.
I need to melee you.
No, this is a melee attack.
Oh, come over, come closer.
No.
Coward?
Um, no.
Out of desperation, she will use her multi-attack to cast one of her lower spells, and she will cast mirror image.
and she will cast mirror image,
creating these three duplicates around herself,
desperate to hang on.
And then, because I have such a lovely stack of fate,
at the end of her turn, I'm going to use her final villain action.
You will see, behold, the fury of Ajanya!
And she begins to swirl with that storming energy
as she almost rises off the ground,
being lifted up by this kind of storm, wind, and current.
And she begins to crackle with that storming energy,
electricity and power that is radiating off of her and is building to something.
Um, that's gonna be her, uh, uh, a building that's, uh, we should stop that or seek cover.
Um, uh, we then go to, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-dasy, uh, you are in a mouth.
I'm not, he missed. You, you, I missed, but you are out in the darkness.
This beast, it's light, perhaps the only light that you can see.
Can I swim 15?
Yeah, you can break back into this space if you want.
But I don't know if I want to go straight back in.
Well, I need to see so I can see, don't I?
Yeah.
He will get an attack of opportunity if you move away from him.
If you want to see what's going on in here,
you have to re-enter this field of battle.
What is it to disengage?
Action for you.
I just don't want to risk it in the, I don't.
Getting chomped.
Getting chomped and losing concentration.
It might be worth it.
Can I cycle around him to get?
I would say, you were about 10 feet, 15 feet away from it.
I would say actually, because he's such a large creature.
If you skirt around him, you'll still be in melee,
but you can basically poke your head.
Where did I put the rough?
He's over here.
So yeah, you can basically, I would say you would have to be sort of here.
Sort of like, put you there for now.
So you are on the field of battle, you emerge from the water,
but this creature is just beyond the veil behind you.
Back on the battle map.
Welcome.
Seeing everything that's going on,
I will raise my paw and I will whisper a prayer to Althea
maybe as my poor touches the ground.
And I'm going to raise up my void's side.
raise up my Void Star Ring and fire it at Coral Song.
That's a good job because I had another counterspell
I thought you were casting a spell.
So the Void Star Ring, yeah, go for it, make the roll.
So you need to make a DC-15 save.
DC-15 save.
I'm gonna be an ass, I've got two points of fate left
and she has one last legendary resistance,
which I'm gonna spend to automatically succeed,
which I believe is half damage on the Void Star Ring.
Yeah, still damage.
Yeah, still damage.
You got a fierce full of dice there.
What is it?
So three charges, two D6 for charge.
So six.
Oh, wow, okay.
Oh.
Six, ten, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, nineteen, nineteen,
nineteen, twenty.
Twenty points, so ten after the half.
Yeah, you can see that the swirling energy around her
that she's building is absorbing some of that.
She did gain temporary hit points using that villain action.
So she is like surrounded by this kind of,
of barrier of energy that's building up but it does chip away at some of that that
force making a cheeky face can I yes use my free action so that was my
action action action I want to use my free action to cut to use wild
resurgence which basically allows me to wild shape and then I want to
wild shape into a giant octopus and swim away back into the water away
So, two things.
So wild resurgence lets you...
It's a free action.
Yep.
Wild shape is normally a bonus action.
Yep.
So I haven't spent my bonus action.
So as a free action, wild action,
I can either expend one use of wild shape to give me a level one spell slot
or it lets me have a wild shape back.
Oh, so you gain a wild shape back.
I see.
And then you would bonus action.
and wild shape.
The other thing I was going to say
is if you move away,
he's going to try and chomp you.
Does he have a reaction?
He does have a reaction.
I think that's okay.
I'm going to risk it.
You're going to risk it?
I'm going to risk it.
Okay.
I mean, although I guess who is.
Once's his turn?
At the very end of the round.
So I need Ophelia to get a turn off.
Ophelia will get a turn off.
I'm not going to do any of that.
You're not going to do any of that.
No.
Because I don't want to risk getting chomped.
Okay.
Oh, I will.
Bonus action.
wanting raw at him, because why not?
Okay?
Yeah, yeah, scare him off.
Roll that boy.
He has advantage against being frightened.
That is going to be a 15 total.
Oh, beats it.
Just it beats it, beats it.
Yeah, this creature, again, it's the,
it is a servant of Virginia, it's a servant of Corrosan.
It is hard to frighten this creature away from its duty, basically.
But yeah, good, good turn.
With that, we go to Aphelia, it is your,
Yeah, Phile's just gonna try and end this.
Sure, go for it.
Your reign ends here.
That's reckless, by the way.
18 plus 7.
Hits.
Yeah, nothing I can do about that.
Let's go.
So, D8, and I'm gonna use Bloint.
7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14.
Damage on the first strike.
And then Vex on the second strike.
second strike yeah you get advantage i mean you had it from reckless anyway natural fucking 20
oh yeah there we go yeah get it it's going it's going how many how many dice we talking so just
just the what's just a standard attack a fistful of dice uh let's go standard attack so a d8 and a
maxed okay 14 14 plus another d8 and a d6 rolled so maxed maxed so maxed
damage on the D6.
20.
3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
Another 8, 9, 10 damage.
30?
30 damage.
Holy shit.
Because of that natural 20,
it breaks through the temporary hit points
of her villain action
and does just enough.
Oh, yes, Appelia.
Go, go, go, go, go.
So, Ophelia, what does this look like?
Oh, man.
I think it would be Ophelia
watching Coral song, beginning to rise up.
And like, you're almost feeling this rippling wave of power.
And I think that in a kind of flash moment, Ophelia,
you see what's going to happen.
You can see that once she builds up this power in a few seconds,
she's going to release it.
And anything that is not behind cover,
doesn't matter saving throw, anything like that,
anything that is not completely blocked by cover,
is going to get hit by this force of magic.
And looking at Xanthias, looking at like Daisy,
like it would probably be very bad.
I think Ophelia would pull back for us to you wait a beat,
wait for the right moment and strike and get in the throat.
Like...
You almost, we see like Ophelia's form
just becomes a red line of a blur
as this vampiric magic almost
you just launch through
and you're behind her.
And you just see the throat ripped apart
into shreds of flesh and blood
as it sprays in a V behind you
Basically, veracity just dripping with this creature's blue arc, yeah.
As it drips down, as that power just suddenly goes dead silent
and there's no flare, there's no dramatic, there's no final words,
this lifeless body just crumples to the sand.
As this battle is, I would say, over.
As within the next, at the end, the snake would get one more turn,
and then would fall asleep.
Oh, right.
I will maybe make one attack against gruff.
For the rest of us that could see a different visage.
Yeah.
I mean, it would have looked like Ophelia attacking this person
that's like really close to us, right?
Yeah.
Okay.
But then as soon as she's dead, that fates.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And we can rationalise it, yeah.
Yeah, obviously, yeah.
It's not like I'm going to...
I'm not going to roll against gruff.
I think that the creature just falls asleep.
Like, it's poison is heavy.
I want to wrap this up.
It like, charge us forward, but then just...
It goes, it like, it launches towards you and then...
Cool.
And just begins to drift, fallen into some hopefully long, deep, you know, endless slumber
as the poison races through its blood.
With that, the second champion of Virginia is defeated.
Oh, well, that is such a beefy fight.
I'm at 9HB.
Obviously, we want to wrap things up,
but I will say one last thing
before we wrap this episode up,
you glance and gruff your spell controlling water
still keeping things at bay here.
You see glimpses within the shipwreck itself.
One of the holes that the creature burst from
that the Great DeVarer burst from
seems to lead into the back of the ship
where the captain's cabin is.
And you can see within that cabin,
There seems to be various glittering objects.
Booty.
And perhaps sat upon, still sat upon a chair.
Oh.
Salt encrusted bones wearing rusted armor and tattered naval officer's uniform
is a fine skeleton as well as glittering objects.
In his hand, still being held,
unmarred by time and water is a beautiful golden short bow that tips almost seem to be like the sun
with emblems of pyrus and holy symbols of the goddess of the sun herself this beautiful golden short bow
still gripped in his hand a fine dress sword at his side you know encrusted with jewels a silver goblet still in
in the other skeletal hand and what appears to be piles of gold
glittering within.
Good.
Some fine booty and treasure to be gathered
in success of your adventure.
Oh, hell yeah.
As we bring this to a close, well done.
Oh, nice.
Very good, yes.
I felt like that was really good teamwork.
Very good teamwork, very good teamwork.
Excellent use of spells.
of spells, you know, excellent use of abilities
and, you know, splitting people up.
I think that's poison would have taken a lot longer to effect
if you had to do it all yourself as well.
Yeah, she worked out.
Yeah, Ophelia, like, doing all that damage
and, like, carving into it, definitely kind of gave you that a big help.
You know, Rowan isn't exactly the most
melee-orientated character, so you would have made any...
I know, I know your stats.
So might have been a bit of a struggle.
You know, Daisy, unfortunately, unable to do it,
until that last minute
and just getting that,
that's,
huge damage,
big, big blow.
I think that's the thing
is I was saving,
I was,
on reflection,
I was like,
control what I went too early with it.
We should have,
you know,
like we ended up doing it,
get rid of the crabs and all of that.
And then when everyone's ready
to come back and like go.
It was great.
Great timing on that.
Yeah,
really,
really good.
I think waiting for you two to come back out.
Let's save this and have a chat,
perhaps in a post,
a little Patreon video.
Maybe members or Patreon support.
