But Valor starts growing more and more serious.

though for the first time max isn't right next to he's actually holding back he stood next to
lucius at the mid deck vala goes to sort of back where the captain's wheel and things is.
And she closes
her eyes and you begin to see
around her just
almost like just this
very faint purple light
coming off of her skin.
Like a kind of aura. Like steam
rising from something too hot.
And this purple light begins kind of coalescing
off of her body. When she opens her eyes, they are like black infinity.
It's kind of almost like black and white reflected
that go on forever in her eyes.
And it just...
And then she plunges her hands down,
slaps them against the wood of the ship,
and the whole ship is covered in this like purple
energy aura it just kind of spreads out from her hands coalesces all over the ship down into the
waves and then it begins to form a bubble around the ship itself and it's peaceful. The wind dies down. It's a strange, almost familiar sensation.
It's almost like you can hear the crackle of a fireplace.
You can smell a woman's perfume.
You can feel a soft bed and a cushion.
What sounds like song from a music box.
As this domain, this sphere sphere completely encapsulates the ship and
valor just not roars but kind of lets out this scream of power just this kind of like
and then the ocean drops away for a moment there's just blackness
For a moment, there's just blackness.
Strange sense of movement, as if the ship is still sailing,
but you can't see where or how or why.
Those familiar, comforting sensations remain.
Valor just grits her teeth and you see the ship continue, you know,
surrounded by this energy.
And then eventually, the dome breaks the ship remains covered in this kind of purple glow valor is now kind of covered
by a dome of this light that covers over just her and the back of the ship but the whole of the ship is covered in this energy. And now you find yourselves in not still waters.
The ship is in the middle of a furious storm.
The wind is threatening to blow you off the ship as is.
Like you're fighting the wind immediately.
It like nearly throws you to the ground.
The rain is so thick.
You can barely see more than sort of, you know, 30 feet in front of you.
Like, you can vaguely make out the shapes of your allies, but the rain is just hammering down.
As a note, in this space, ranged attacks with things like bows and arrows and things like that have disadvantage.
Doesn't affect spells. If you use a bow or an arrow or anything like that it will have disadvantage because of the wind
perception checks sight and hearing disadvantage the wind is so loud it deafens it nearly deafens
you the rain is so hard to see through disadvantage open flames immediately extinguished if you try and
like light a torch it would just be blown out immediately um flying by non-magical means and quill would know this quill is you know an arakokra he
understands it you can't fly in this quill not naturally you there's just no way it would it
would just break you to try and fly in this if you fly magically you must land at the end of your
turn or you fall out of the sky and you will just fall
wherever you are so magical flight will give you like a burst of flight but you better land or
you're in trouble um yeah and that's that's kind of the the effects of this space this kind of like
storming sea that you find yourselves in uh valor you don't see you're really here.
She's just kind of protected by this purple dome
and you see the energy armor stretch out.
Maximilian is stood with you
and he just grips the great sword,
kind of slams it down.
We are in it now.
Prepare yourselves.
And he like puts himself, you know,
in front of Valor's dome.
I would like you guys to
uh you should be able to now see a map uh of the front of the ship okay um
i got like some spell effects for like the mist and the roiling flames and things like that
um and yeah i would like you guys just to position yourselves and yeah
Maybe make a note on where you would like this kind of network of ropes
for to be placed Nova
How how big can I have it I would say that you can basically cover
with the rigging that you have
say that you can basically cover with the rigging that you have um sort of 5 10 15 like two 20 foot cubes um that would cover like a side so not in like the middle but you could like cover let me
give you an example um so you could cover like 5 10 15 so you So you could cover this side.
So if anybody was going to be thrown over,
then they can grab the ropes on that side.

I think pretty much those two spaces that you've drawn on are perfect.

you don't get the sense that you need somebody to steer the ship, right?
Valor is somehow controlling this and keeping it not on course, but like keeping it afloat.
Like these waves crashing down, you should be feeling the ship rock and royal,
but it's being relatively stable as it is.

As you are traveling,
the water in front of the
ship begins to rise
and a voice begins calling
out.

pirate's garb with two arcing sparking scimitars larger than anything you've seen in each hand
she emerges you will those of you who can see roll 20 please
forgive me for the artwork this is the only thing that i could find in the tokens map she is not as
scantily dressed as this i promise you this is the only thing that i could find all right um
nice one roll 20 jesus uh Nice one, Roll20. Jesus. Uh...

as it hits it kind of like melts away 32 points down to 16 32 points um i will also die cromancy
because why not please just give me one second i'm just going to get myself a notepad up so I can track

and you just kind of like see her

and you watch
as from underneath the ship like
from the moisture around you,
Lucius, you are lifted up into the air,
and a sphere of water completely engulfs you.

not gonna make you waste actions and stuff like that um yeah if you just glance at it nova yeah when you glance at it looking you can see that there is a scene
inside this orb um it is a beautiful still calm sea um if you'd like you can make an arcana check
for free this won't cost you an action this is just a free arcana action i love free arcana
checks are all 13 plus 8 so 21 21 you have a feeling that if you touch this orb and use your
action you will be teleported inside that space for a short period of time
but it will use up the orb the orb will vanish you will teleport
inside it and then you will vanish and then the orb will vanish okay so now you can take your turn
and meanwhile lucius is um floating around and yeah and and this bubble is like a bubble of water and it looks, you know, dense. Like.

I am going to while I am using my bonus action to place a hex blade curse on the giant lady.
Zephyr.
I'm going to look at Quill and shout.
Quill, I think I think the calm is accessible inside this orb.
Maybe it will break this chain.

So you can see this sphere around Lucius is close to breaking.
It almost kind of looks like a glass bauble.
You can see cracks around it and water is dripping out onto the deck
from it um still trapped in there but very very weakened at this point okay i'm just going to use
my movement to move uh away from quill and up next to the me um okay yeah that's cool uh at the end of your turn
nova i'm going to use her last legendary action to do a storm cool strike against quill this is
a ranged spell attack um her eyes crackle with lightning and she shoots a blast of lightning at you from her eyes oh can i protect against this
you can yeah so disadvantage on the attack row yeah twice
so i'll take the lesser one it's a natural one so it's gonna miss so yeah essentially you dive
in front of quill and with your shield you just knock the blast up into the air
as this blast of lightning kind of just echoes into the sky.
And you see Zephir just like, very good, very good.

it's like you are now drawing lightning and thunder to you like every time there's like a
boom of lightning it's like being drawn directly to you you can feel this energy kind of gathering
around you like a maelstrom um with this tether anytime either of you is hit it will apply a stack and you'll both
suffer the effects of that bonus damage um not the base damage of the attack but the the gathering
storm damage which will go up and up and up uh you test the tether and i would say that quill
with that you you get a sense if you get closer to ayayla, it becomes weaker. Ah, okay.
So going to a different realm entirely, that's as far away as I can go.
Or into the safety bubble.

going to as a reaction um let's roll a d4 evens odds you watch as she raises up her
watch which hand is this This would be her left.
Trying to judge it

She raises up one of the scimitars
and she's holding it aloft in the air and it begins

breaks away and you see zephir just lean down no no i won't go back you won't take me and she grabs
the boat and she drags it down into the water. And you feel like you should suddenly be surrounded by water
and you should be, you know, underwater.
But instead, as the ship is dragged beneath the surface,
it almost seems to bob up as if it was underwater in the first place.
