Time slows for a second as we see this combat inside this old manor's great room with this green fire illuminating and casting it all in a sickly glow from this fireplace. Most of you are doing battle, you can see spells launching from either side of the room, blades clashing against these elven spirits. One of them reaches out to Lucius. You raise your arms to try and fend him off as its hand just plunges into your chest. You know the worst thing? I was going no, no, no. You go

and as you say it, you feel this coldness grip your heart. You can't breathe. Everything seems to slow and turn grey as this vestige of life is just sucked out of you. But there's just enough. You fall unconscious, but a tiny part of you keeps its spirit. Because you're only reduced to your hit point maximum is four. It didn't reduce you to zero. So you're not dead just yet.

Daddy's jeans. However. Oh, it's so close. However. He has four hit points max. I rolled to hit you, didn't I? I missed. Yep.

So who is next on the initiative? Century, I think. Century. Yes. Let's get rid of these as quick as possible, please. Battleaxe smack in the face. Okay. We will do that, yes.

Let us breathe. Well, i think there's no physical it's not physically hurting him so whilst yes in theory technically there should be an injury role none of the injuries will make sense just but maybe i'll talk to chris trot and we'll have some cool rp stuff i have no soul anymore well like you know like you literally almost got killed by a ghost and turned into a ghost, so that probably should... I mean, we still have two ghosts to fight, so who knows where this is going to end? So, Century, make an attack roll. Yes, please.

Oh, it's a four! Nine. So you see this happen to Lucius, and you're distracted. As you swing the axe, at the last minute, you kind of turn and see him go down, and the axe just swings wide. Cool. Can I get in a protective position next to this dude

that means this thing will get a free swipe at you that is fine that's a 19 to hit you oh just that is just my dice rolls for these damage rolls oh my god you take 17

oh shit okay constitution save dice rolls for the damage rolls. Oh my god! You take 17 and can you make a constitution saving throw please? Oh shit, okay. Constitution save. Okay, yeah.

17. It's me next. Yeah, well, no, Sentry does move over and gets over Lucius. As it swipes Sentry, you can see, while she's made of metal and wood, as this blade passes through, the purple glow in her eyes and chest diminishes. You watch as it physically, the light in her core just diminishes, and you almost feel like something from you has been taken, but you're not quite sure what. But you get in front of Lucius and you bring up the shield,

so if anything attacks him, you can use your reaction to give disadvantage. Who's after Sentry? That would be Aayla. You didn't attack. I missed. Oh, yes, you missed. Aayla. No, it's me after Sentry.

So the one that was fighting me is not there anymore. No, but there's the one that was fighting Sentry, which was next to you, yeah. Okay. So you can turn on that one. Yeah, seeing Sentry. And it looks like it's going to chase after Sentry. You can see it like...

I'll smack that one. Okay. That's a good one. 19 to hit? Hits, yeah, hits. Nice. Go on, Ayla. Oh, my God, I rolled a freaking 1 So

7 damage with the hammer And the save Oh yep I make the save Natural 20 Stop that It was 1 anyway 1 point of damage Lightning crackles out from the hammer.

Does it? Just catches it. Does it crackle out? Yep. Who's after it? So it's me. Oh, Valor first. Valor first.

Seeing Lucius go down in that way, Valor will... She's got a medic missile. I'm trying to remember what spell she has. Save us, Valor. Don't medic missile me. Turn under. She can't take it.

Yeah, I think she just cast another magic missile at the one directly over Lucius. Oh, please. So she just holds her hand out and you watch as this purple energy coalesces. She probably looks. She's like, get away from him! And screams out.

Five, eight, eleven points. That's a good good weapon for magic miss on again that last bit of energy dissipates the one like they're not resistant to it difference so this last one oh no sorry they wouldn't have killed that one because that was the one that's taken Sentry's damage. So it's still alive. What did I say? 11? 11, yeah.

Then it's me. No, sorry, yeah. I was adding that to the one Sentry had been damaging, not the other one. So you watch as these missiles pummel into its body. You know, where the energy hits, it kind of almost burns away little parts of the ghost, but it still leaves this haunting form

and it turns its eyes on Valor and now it seems to be moving towards her. After Valor, it's you. Death saving throw, please, friend. That's a fail. One death saving fail. Quill. Okay, so...

I will do... I will also do a magic missile at level 2 on the one standing over Lucius. Okay, no roll to hit. Just straight up 4d4 plus 4. A lot of d4s. Give him your d4s. Bless him.

Like Goku with a spirit bomb. Give me your energy. Give me your d4 Give me your deep voice! Four, seven... I'm not using that one again. Um... Seven... Nine...

Thirteen. Thirteen points to the one over Lucius. Yeah. That magic missile does deflate. Good! So Quill, what does it look like? It's like feathers, right? Yeah, so four feathers float up and then these four golden pristine feathers slam into the specter and it just crumbles it away into nothing.

It dissipates. Oh, beautiful. The remaining one that was chasing after Sentry seems to kind of look around. Let's see. You've used something which hurt them. Val used something which let's see. You've used something which hurt them. Val used something which has hurt them. You've used something that's hurt them. I also did a massive light spell as well.

Yeah. I missed every time. Okay. So the one that was kind of chasing after Sentry tracks these golden feathers towards Quill. No. No. No.

Yes. Who's after Quill? it's top of the round so it's Nova hi Nova it's your go I don't want to go home yeah you can just leave

As it moves up to you You've got your barrier ring It probably looks at you and it will probably be like, Esper. Oh, cool. 18 to hit. Oh yeah, it does.

Oh no. His hit points are very, very low. That's the lowest damage I've rolled, but it's still nine. Oh, I'm downed. Do I have to make a save as well? Con saving throw. Oh my god, downed. Do I have to make a save as well? Con saving throw. But...

Oh, my God. A con save. That's seven. Your maximum hit points are reduced by nine. I've got three maximum HP. Can you use your shield to react? I thought it was zero. That's what I thought.

This attack is so OP. Yeah. Spectres, man. These are scary monsters. So the healer's gone now. The healer wasn't healing. But they're max HP. But he's unconscious, he could still have four.

I know, but what I'm saying is... It is the... Mr. Man. He glances around, he sees the two of you down, he just looks over, Get your friends! I will try and keep it distracted as long as I can. You guys have got potions. I don't have.

I can do filling. There's one on my body. Right, his first attack hits. The R's eight, twelve, which is half. So he did a hit. You watch as the strike cuts through the creature, severing parts of its body, but just enough of its life force is remaining and it's reaching down towards Quell. I'm gonna nod. Bonus action attack is a hit.

Oh nice. Thank you. Five, nine is enough. So as he, you watch, as the final blow, I love it when NPCs get final blows. It's really great. It's such a cool thing. Literally every single one of them.

We need this right now. We need this. Let us have this. He just brings this greatsword and slams it down into the remnants of this spectre. And as he hits it, he's like, goodbye, brother. Oh, cool. Yeah.

Can I spare the dying? It's still initiative because there's death-saving throws to be made. Sentry, what are you doing? One is on one side of the room, the other is on the other side, and it's 60 feet between the two points. You are over by Lucius. I'm in the middle of the room, though. You're in the middle, you're in the middle, Val is in the middle.

Sentry, you are next to Lucius on one side of the room. Wasn't I in a corner? Oh, yeah, you did. You backed up into aus. I'm in the middle of the room, though. You're in the middle. So you are next. What are you doing? You're next to Lucius. I don't know. He's just unconscious. He is bleeding to death. His necrotic wounds are slowly, probably, it's probably left bleeding, but you can see that where the blade

hit him, maybe his flesh is slowly greying as it goes. I'll cure wounds on Lucius. Okay, so d8 plus your... There you go. It's going to be four. Six. That's four. You're not dying, kid. But you feel this faint, brief

moment of light kind of as it fills you. Thank you. After sentry. I got you. Who's going to get it? It's me. So you're in you. After sentry. I got you. Who's going to get it? It's me. Ayla. Ayla.

So you're in the middle of the room. Can I go over to Quill? You can get over to Quill. Yep, you get to Quill's body. Move action. That's one of my spell slots. Can I take his potion out and give it to him? Yes.

He has one. Yes, because you have an action remaining. Normally it's an action to feed somebody else a potion. Yep, so you get up, you find the potion on his body, pull out the little cork stopper and guzzle it down his beak. Guzzle it down his little beak. Seven hit points. Seven HP.

Well, what's your maximum? Three. Three, there you go. No more death saving throws needed. We can jump out of initiative. The elf in the armour, the ghoul in the armour. I told you you should leave. There's only death in this place.

Very close. Are there any more of those things? How many are there? We already did fight two of your brethren. How many are left? He's saying He looks. If you have slain two, in these three,

there is only two remaining. But they are on the other side. Do they ever come over here? I have not seen them. They haunt the study where the ritual took place. We may be able to rest for the night and just try and heal up. I'm trying not to cry here. Don't do that again.

I feel very strange and weak. Is the guardian still here? Possibly. How long were we resting for? Four hours. There's one we were waking up, so that's halfway through. So we could just leave and rest outside. If we're worried about that.

about where I came from and if you don't want to stay then that's fine. But... Regardless of what we want to do, we need to rest. Yes. All of us have been touched. We do need to rest, but this is... I need to continue. If you need to leave, then... so be it. Can we rest here for now?

Just white flesh, like marble. Lucky I've got feathers, so I look fine. White feathers. Probably the colour's drained out. Just like swaying a lot. If you need to leave this place, come back if you are so intent on the information here. But I do not.

Whilst my brethren may not come over this way, their spirits linger near the ritual site. I said the Guardian avoided this room. Not entirely. And there are other things here anyway. Yeah, that fight was tough. And it was only three of them. Yes. There's two more and...

Whatever she is. My greatest fear is if Veselvena finds you. She's the most powerful, is she not? She is. I can't... She still commands some of the magical power she had in life. Plus the abilities that undeath have given her. So she can do that

to us. Yeah. We don't have much left. Ayla, it's too high a cost right now. Fine. We'll leave. But I will come back here alone. We can come back when I have some

This thing is metal and armor and magic incarnate. My servant, take my beloved prince to the guest chambers.

He must rest. Students come with me. The rest of you must leave. Oh, God. What do we do? Valor looks up and... Oh, no. I need to attend to his highness.

He needs me. I'm his squire. Squire? Did I not send you away to... Sorry, sorry, master. And she like bows her head. She's like, sorry, my lord, but you can't possibly get ready without me. That's true. And the woman looks down.

You keep poor company, my love, but if this is what you require, you will desire, of course. And she gestures the guardian. It's a temporary measure, of course. Of course. We'll send her off to one of these farms around here. They have such rude humans in these lands. Barbaric. Barbaric. Not like my lands.

And her form almost begins to change in color from white to black. And you begin to see her face decay. Oh. Quill. I don't know what to do. We should probably leave. We're leaving. We should leave.

but she lets Lucius is taken away first. Lucius and Valor are taken away by the Guardian. This is the worst thing that could have ever happened. Well, the worst thing would have been died already. We've split the party into three. This is atrocious. So you are led And you're led

Lucius you're brought upstairs And you're taken to one of these guest chambers You two Ayla and Nova You are led across this Archway and you can see that the Windows the curtains have been drawn but there is Sunlight that's beginning to pool

Quill and Sentry As you guys head outside it is And you can see that the windows, the curtains have been drawn, but there is sunlight that's beginning to pool. Quill and Sentry, as you guys head outside, it is dawn, effectively. You're arriving in dawn. We can see Nova and Aayla being let across the bridge as well. If you make your way out into the garden, yes. Arval, you can see, is by the gates, shakingly holding his crossbow. Yeah. Let's go with Century and Quill for the time being.

What would you guys like to do? What do you guys think about this? We need to come up with a plan to get in there and get those guys out because I can't imagine this is going to end well. Well, Nova and Aayla were led to the other building. The other building is across the river so if we want to get them first,

as far as Lucius is concerned, he's Swift's son. Nothing's going to come to any harm with him. Until she realises he isn't. Well, I suppose he is. Because, yeah. We've got Arvel. Maybe we can bring Arvel in and help? Arvel looks like the ghost has got Lucius.
