The party have stormed Nightbloom Keep,
Nightbloom Hold, sorry,
and they have bypassed the main gates.
They have managed to fend off the undead that were outside.
They've destroyed many of the archers
and made their way inside the keep
thanks to a passable spell from Nova.
And then they had a choice.
They could either charge out into the plaza
where there were many knights and squires
and other things waiting for them,
or they could head up into one of the towers
to try and use as a bottleneck and maybe try and use one of the ballistae against the wyvern
creature as well they elected to go up into the tower whereupon uh the wyvern and its rider the
war knight were waiting for them uh there's been a furious battle where there have been a few there
have been spooky hounds that have been summoned. The wyvern was dominated by Lucius
and then the war knight
killed her own mount and then
has leapt down onto the tower
itself as part of her
movement, slamming down with a thunderous
force and is now in the middle of
everybody.
We are beginning with a fresh new round.
The other thing I was going to say is
as I'm desperately trying to remember placements
and where everybody is and all this other stuff going on,
you would see, from your elevated position,
you would see the two Grieving Errants.
So they're the mega armoured...
These are the heavy armoured-wearing, greatsword-wielding folks.
A long, big map.

With a whole retinue of squires.
They had a load of monks as well, right?
They had a pack of friars behind them as well.
Oh, God, that's a lot of boys.
And then there was even more stuff in the keep itself
that did not appear to be moving.

Blue-eyed individual.
Blue-orange eyes, wyvern.

The actual gate tower is further away than what it is.
I just wanted to have it there to frame out the corner.
But you are in basically, it's like a 10 foot radius.
So it's like 20 foot across, 20 foot across.
And even then, I think that it probably should have been about 15 foot across.
It shouldn't have been that big, but it is what it is yeah you are but you are
packed it what the main point is that it is it is packed at the top of it it's
tight and the the one I has basically landed in amongst you kind of those of
you who are close to the center maybe taking a step back or being pushed back
for a second and that is where we're going to start at the top of a brand new round. Yeah, so Sentry.
Yeah. Okay, I'm going to as an action cure wounds on Ayla and see if that helps stop
her bleeding.

How important was it that the Rot Heart was destroyed?
I know that it sucks up all the light.
I don't think that has been established directly
that you would have 100% answer to that.
Hotshot basically said
that these Rot Hearts are what
basically create the Hive Undead.
The dead roots, that's
all affected by those things.
And you
assume it has, and the darkness,
you can see that the
actual canopy of this giant tree, it has, and the darkness, yeah. You can see that the actual canopy of this giant tree,
it has motes of pollen or petals coming off of it,
and those are sucking in the light and making it dark here.
But tactically as well, if we did destroy it and it lifted the gloom,
then the storm chaser would be free to do flybys.
I mean, in theory, the storm chaser would certainly be able to help, yeah. Like, if you can clear the gloom, yeah. Storm Chaser would be free to do flybys. I mean, in theory, the Storm Chaser would certainly

the main thing is that you needed to create a bright
light so that Storm Chaser knows where to
hit is the main thing. You need a target
marker. Because I've said this before

spells or weapons you guys have
will destroy the Rot Heart.
Like, it needs something bigger than that.
Would Nova know that a bright enough light could be created by her Rod of Alertness,
which is 60-foot bright light, 60-foot dim light from the top of the tree?
From the top of the tree, yes.
The higher up you get, like, it does become lighter if you can get higher enough.
But down here, no. High up in the tree maybe I will give
you a firm 50-50 whether it works like you don't know okay with 500 foot of
dimension to her would that get me to the top if you went diagonally you could
get high up yeah maybe not to the top of the tree but you would be high up. Yeah, maybe not to the top of the tree, but you would be high up in the tree itself.

but you can be like 500 feet diagonally that way yeah and you know that tree that's roughly three
years three what i need you to do is make a dexterity saving throw for me to see if you
can grab on before you plummet.

before another big branch and you're like hanging over it,
just kind of swinging in place.
But you're, yeah, 500 feet up.
You are now way higher than the tower.
You can't see your friends. You can't see your friends,
you can't see anything going on back there,
but you are now in the tower itself.
Cool.
So what's the plan?

As a movement, I would say you could probably
clamber up onto the branch,
like with that saving throw if you wanted to.
Or you could just hang there, sword in.

blackened uh burn marks and almost like red veins and it just almost emanates heat from her and the
ice just fails to build up
but then you conjure these these mirror images to try and protect yourself yeah i just like push
mars outwards and four come out either side perfect all right uh and they will go oh they
don't do that uh that's it all right ayla uh ayla uh is going to hit real hard.
Very hard.

These blows raining down on the Warnite
kind of grunts as she's being hit by them,

have gone for Quill then, like to grab Quill, because she would have known the mirror images
are there.

when he sees you and looks up,
just impassively, no expression on his face,
but he begins slowly making his way.
Maybe he doesn't want to do it.
Maybe he's just like...
The two grieving errants will also make their way now into the building.
So that whole group of minions outside is now stepped in.
I just don't want to reach over and try and move them at the moment.

If it's on his coffee break,
he can take his full coffee break.

that they've sustained.
The Warnight you just watch is like almost like gouts of fire
erupting from her body like, she like screams out,
and even Godric just like holds his head for a moment.
You can see that they are, yeah, like the tree is not destroyed,
but now that it's been heavily weakened, the forces are beginning to break down.

but is there, like, a spreading flame on the tree?

hatred of her father and her brother who forced her into this life is still deep there and it is
it is filling this this furnace of rage and hate that is the the the root the kind of like the the thing
from which this this necrotic power that kalara has bound to her has become and that is what's
causing it and as you reach that almost trying desperately with your magic to snuff out those
feelings you just feel this presence and you hear a soft woman's voice just say,
no, they are my champion, not yours.
And you're almost, like, shunted out of her presence
as you feel something eject forcibly from it.
