Starting point is 00:00:00 Pickaxe. Welcome back to Aroas. The champions have travelled to the thick jungles of Jakesh to find the breach point that will allow them access to Kalara's hidden demiplane, from which she has cut off most of her followers and turned her most loyal knights into a force of methodical killers. If Kalara is defeated or brought to peace, her divine essence will return to Siasca, the true deity of Eros, and aid in the battles to come. A turbulent journey have led the party to Nightbloom Hold, the defended keep and monastery
Starting point is 00:00:55 of Calara's knights, and after a failed attempt to sneak in, they have launched a full-on assault against the forces here, including the powerful Knight Commanders of the Blackened Rose, during which Nova Vija teleported away to the colossal tree that seemed to be enhancing Calara's forces and has used a beacon of light to call down arcane blasts from their airship, the Stormchaser. Now an intense battle wagers beneath the burning, breaking boughs of this enormous tree. Nova flees the destruction with the guardians hotshot and shade sued by the newly reborn cerise the plague knight meanwhile the rest of the party face off against the orc war knight lady elwynn and various minions as well as sir godric the death knight and the famine knight lamalese begin to close in so uh i will do we'll do a little brief recap whilst I also have
Starting point is 00:01:47 to fix this poor boy that I knocked over Quill fell but everyone's here all the knights are invited right so to summarize things up we got a bit of a on-go battle map a little bit of a slight rejig on the battle map if you are watching if you're wondering why the towers on the a bit smaller and things have shifted around just a bit of tidying up we currently have the war night this orc war night lady Elwynn who is currently engaging Lucius max and Ayla in the actual round top of the tower part of it has been knocked over like part of the wall is now broken and has fallen down below it. Quill, you had moved just off to the side.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I believe you were flying, but not too high up in the air. So you're about sort of like 10 feet-ish up in the air. Sentry is a floor below you in the tower, currently fighting one of the Knight Errants, one of these kind of powerful, full plate armored, black, big great sword, black armored knights. She is in the tower below you, so I haven't got her on the map yet.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Coming from the main keep, which is the far end away, so the sort of southern end of the battle map, you have two flying spectral horses, upon which Sir Godric Graves and the Ember Elf Lamelies, the Death Knight and the Famine Knight, are approaching. On the ground, a force of about seven skeletons and three whites um seemingly move with so godric and are following their horse like keeping within range of so godric far away about 500 feet away um nova vega has basically helped the airship target the
Starting point is 00:03:21 great tree and you are now flying you would cast the fly spell on yourself and you'd moved about 60 feet towards the party, which would put you basically over the main temple, like the main sort of like fortified temple. You are flying over its rooftops basically. And the last thing you'd seen was Cerise, the plague knight basically being birthed out of this sort of tree sap cocoon. And that was the last place we saw it.
Starting point is 00:03:46 We are deep in initiative. We are deep. You still got it? I've got it all running thanks to D&D Beyond. It's never been easier. They don't sponsor us at the minute, but I'm still going to say it's never been easier. So I've just resumed the combat.
Starting point is 00:04:00 I've tweaked a couple of little things just to make sure everything's up to date. And that is where we're going to go. Are you guys all ready? Well, Katie, I'm sorry. Sorry about the hammer. Katie, I'm so sorry. It's been like a five-year-old thing in the Discord
Starting point is 00:04:17 that everyone's like, how could I be so stupid? I am a fool and I've never felt worse in my life. You know, I wouldn't mind if you did it once. But you did it twice. You threw a war hero thing off. That doesn't matter. Also, you were also attacking recklessly. That wouldn't have happened.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Well, no, if anything, the reckless would have helped. Actually, the reckless helped because it was an advantage. But I just got so unlucky. You got very unlucky. But yes. The dice, it's the dice. But we also have Sentry's armor has been sundered. You're currently one AC down, minus two to your attack and damage rolls.

Tune into our TikTok to see me. All right, whilst you guys make jokes, Maximilian Taldros, whose turn it is, is a bit anticlimactic to
Starting point is 00:05:08 have an NPC go straight away, but Max is just going to make two great double attacks. Yeah, but it's Max. Yeah. Max Devayne. What an NPC. Max Devayne. He hits the Warnite. I thought you said Max Devayne.
Starting point is 00:05:18 No, you didn't. That was the joke. Max hits the Warnite with his first attack, which is going to do some damage. Uh-oh, but the second one. He does 13 points, so half that down to six to the Warnite. His second attack, however, is a clumsy strike. Watch as, I think because Max isn't wielding
Starting point is 00:05:35 a magical weapon, Max brings his greatsword down, the Warnite catches it between her palms, and then just twists and snaps the blade. And it's just gonna destroy, because it's's a mundane weapon she's just gonna destroy it well magic sword he doesn't have a magic sword I have a magic weapon yet it doesn't have a magic weapon just as normal and she see max kind of like holding this now sort of Yeah, yes, he never had it. I've never had magic weapons. Starbate never loved him. And so you see Max kind of like holding this now sort of broken greatsword. Still usable, but it's going to definitely be
Starting point is 00:06:11 not as effective in the future. But that is Max's turn. The Warnite then goes next. And the Warnite is going to do a couple of things. Who's up next on the cards? So I will tell you, yeah, so there's a lot of NPCs because it's a very complicated combat. We've got a bunch of enemies. The first of you guys who's going to go, in fact, I'll just tell you, yeah, so there's a lot of NPCs because it's a very complicated combat. We've got a bunch of enemies.
Starting point is 00:06:25 The first of you guys who's going to go, in fact, I'll just tell you your order, Sentry's at the very top of the round. Then it will be Nova, then Quill, then Lucius, then Aayla. How bad did you roll? No, your initiative was 15. Just everybody else rolled really, really well. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:41 I have advantage on initiative, right? Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Jesus. So the Warn initiative, right? Yep. Wow. Jesus. So the Warnite, Elwynn, having just briefly had this vision as Lucius tried to reach into her mind
Starting point is 00:06:52 and free her of this control, now as you felt your presence ejected from it, Lucius, you see that any sort of control or humanity that was left in Elwynn is taken away from her and now just explodes. The fiery armor erupts with flame. You see her skin darken as it begins to burn and crackle. And she summons to her hand a giant mace flaming with embers.
Starting point is 00:07:19 And she's going to slam it into the ground and leave it there. And as it hits the ground, the entire tower, the walls within about 60 feet, and the ground in the keep's grounds, all begin to smolder and burn as giant cracks and fissures of intense steam and heat and flame erupt. And the hammer is almost like it's breaking into the stone, trying to force its way further into the ground as it leaves these giant cracks and rivets and crevices of flame and and steam bursting from it
Starting point is 00:07:51 uh she uses the legendary action victor per ignum uh now you see just this immense a massive 60 foot radius area around the tower including the entire tower itself sentry all the walls around you this intense heat builds up um yeah that's it uh and then they will make uh three attacks as well um focusing on lucius she's gonna you've still got two mirror images up currently i check this you currently still have two mirror images she's going to attack you twice and then she is going to probably attack but the bum quill you're just flying nearby she's actually a throw a spear at you okay she summons like a blade swipes twice at Lucius and then summons a spear and throws it at Lucius no so I need to see if I hit first if I miss you don't need to worry about the wrong so the
Starting point is 00:08:41 first attack against you Lucius is a 22 you wanna roll for your mirror image? Eight or higher, 14. Destroys one of the mirror images. Frustrated, she swipes through, trying to remove these irritating images. That's a natural one, so the next one she misses. Now there's only two of the Luciuses left, but you're kind of shifting between them as she's trying to swipe through,
Starting point is 00:09:00 desperately trying to figure out which is the real one. And then last thing, she just hurls like a javelin towards Quill. And that is going to be a 17 to hit Quill. Reactions are regained at the start of your turn, right? They are regained at the start of your turn. Okay, I will shield that one. All right, okay.
Starting point is 00:09:16 So it misses. As a spectral shield is summoned. Sir Godric's turn. Oh no. You see the Death Knight. This seems a bit unwinnable in my, just coming in with fresh eyes. No, I mean, yeah, you've done a lot of damage.
Starting point is 00:09:34 The Warnight, it looks heavily, heavily injured, and there were a lot more here, Katie. There were minions, there were other knights, a lot has been done. There's a Wyvern that's dead on the ground. No, but there's three other knights. The Famine Knight is super far away at the moment. Nope.
Starting point is 00:09:49 The famine knight is... No, no, sorry, not the famine. The plague knight. The plague knight, yeah. Only Nova has to worry about them for now. That's not our problem. But I will say that there is one immediate problem. So Godric lifts a hand,
Starting point is 00:10:01 and you can see he's almost distracted. He keeps turning to the destroying tree behind him and he looks concerned, but then he looks back towards the tower. He raises his hand and seems to whisper something and an effect takes place. Oh. Not Finger of Death again.
Starting point is 00:10:17 It's not Finger of Death again. I do just need to, because I didn't link the spells here. Yeah, Quill almost got Finger of Death last week. Did he get Finger? Yeah. You guys can see this being cast if Lucius and Quill want to make arcana checks
Starting point is 00:10:31 to see what spell this is. Yeah. You can try and identify it. I got 12. 12, no. 20. 20. Lucius, this is a silent spell. And Godric lifts up, whispers a thing,
Starting point is 00:10:47 and yeah, a 20-foot radius sphere is gonna encompass the tower. We can't cast spells. Okay, that's what you get out before the silence hits. So for the duration of this, yeah, basically any creature or object entirely inside the sphere is immune to thunder damage and creatures are deafened.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Casting a spell that includes verbal components is impossible, so you need to check your spells and see which ones are not. So as Lucius is like, we can't cast spe... And then suddenly all sound is muffled. The movements, the steam, the rage of the Warnite, all of it completely engulfed. Sentry, this includes you by the way,
Starting point is 00:11:23 because it is a 20 foot sphere sphere, so it encumbrance the top floor below you. Everything suddenly goes silent. The Errant, at the start of his turn, will take 10 points of fire damage from all this steam and flame that's now being summoned around you. Actually, it has to make a con save as well. Seems to be struggling, but he's still going to try and swipe at you on their turn. They are just going to make three attacks with their greatsword. The first one is going to miss. The second one is going to hit with a 26.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And then the last one is going to be a miss. So they're going to hit you for 15 slashing damage, and then four points of necrotic damage. And can you make a constitution saving throw, please? Yeah. 15. 15. You succeed. You feel that channeling this necrotic energy through, they attempt to almost do like a similar to your divine smite,
Starting point is 00:12:19 but this would have had some other effect, but you managed to resist it. It tries to weaken your muscles, but you managed to avoid it as they try and strike. That is the end of the current round. What happens now is the tree behind Nova having sustained heavy fire from the storm chaser, having been blasted and cracking, you've heard like the creaking of wood,
Starting point is 00:12:41 the snapping of branches, begins to fully collapse and is now destroyed this has a number of effects so for you like Nova this is all happening behind you like you're trying to outrun this you know destruction and it's not like the whole thing is gonna collapse in on the keep itself but like branches are snapping and breaking parts of the outer walls you can see like like rivulets of like greenish, bluish magic are like running through it. And it's just fading of power. Like that black pollen stops to fall down.
Starting point is 00:13:13 The grieving errant that just tried to strike you, suddenly like you've been seeing like this black Icarus substance come from their eyes and ears and their nose. They strike you and then they lift their blade and then they just collapse down as if they've just dropped dead. They just collapse to the ground. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Any of the other minions that you'd seen, none of those are still alive, but you can hear the cries of undead from outside as well as if a great ripple of force has just sort of collapsed all the undead around you. The night commanders stagger for a moment, as if suddenly hit by a powerful wave of nausea or pain. They stagger for a moment.
Starting point is 00:13:56 They basically have a reduced AC now, while they're under this kind of effect. They'll have disadvantage on any attack rolls they make for this turn, because they are basically hit by this stunned sort of like, as if some great power has been sapped out of them. Is that fiery spear embedded in the ground still going? It still remains, yeah. So that is because it was activated, it still remains.
Starting point is 00:14:18 The mace is there. She left the mace there and it's just in the ground, like pumping out heat and stuff. Nice. The undead that are underneath Sir Godric seem unaffected by this. Ah, okay. And they are like, you can see,
Starting point is 00:14:30 it's not hard to tell he is directly controlling them. So that's probably why. All right, so that is at the top of the round. So we go to Sentry. Okay, well, while that knight's gone down, I'm gonna run back up to the top. Yeah, tight squeeze, but... Is sentry large?
Starting point is 00:14:50 No. No. We just checked that. And I'm going to make two attacks against the war knight. Yep, reduced AC currently. All righty. Let's rock and roll. But anything under a 10 as well.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Oh, and at the start of your turn, sentry, the only thing is just at the start of your turn, can you make a... You will take 10 as well. Oh, and at the start of your turn, Century, the only thing is just at the start of your turn, can you make a... You will take 10 points of fire damage, and can you make a constitution saving throw for me, please? Of course. As these flames just continually emit these... 16 plus 7, 21.
Starting point is 00:15:19 You are fine. So you can feel this heat trying to sap your strength and your will, but yeah, you take the 10 fire damage, but no other effect. Now, please make your turn. Okie dokie. Oh, that's not good. That's not good. Three plus...
Starting point is 00:15:34 Was it a three on the roll? Three on the roll. I'm afraid to say it's going to be not just a miss, but she grabs the tip of Starbreaker and squeezes and a crack. Oh, Starbreaker. Minus one to the attack and damage roll. Starbroker. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Starbroker. That was your first attack. Yeah. Century's going to be pissed if she's going to try again. Yeah. Oh, it's a seven on the roll. Seven is enough not to... No, actually, I think I changed it.
Starting point is 00:16:04 No, it's...'s uh so again same thing like like has already gripped you try and force it down and just smashes into the side and another deeper crack minus two did they both hit though still uh seven plus your bonus 13 20 that wouldn't actually still technically hit so because the reduced effect nice cool it does still hit on the second that going for you. Nice. Normally it wouldn't have. Let's do some Divine Smites. Let's get this.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Let's get it going. Yeah, and she is looking hurt. There is just rage and destruction left. Four, five. Is she undead? Yes, technically they are undead. Another D8 to the pile. While Rhi is rolling,
Starting point is 00:16:44 Nova Hexblade cursed Elwynn before she went away. Yes, technically they are undead. The d8 to the pile. While Rhi is rolling, so Nova hexblade cursed Elwynn before she went away. Would that still be in place despite the distance? I can't find anything about distance or dissipating if it's away or... I think it would be, yeah. But I think to do your, like your, it's only against you, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:16:59 Like the reducing, like making the attacks miss and stuff, I think. The effect on my armor of hexes and stuff like that. I don't have any of that anymore. Oh, that's right, yeah, because you do. But the key thing that I'm looking at is if she dies, I get hit points back. Would I still get hit points?
Starting point is 00:17:12 Yeah, I think so. Don't see why not. Well, yeah. As long as it's still in effect. Not that I want to jinx this or anything. Oh. Level 3 Divine Smite, 46 damage. 46.
Starting point is 00:17:23 Can you tell me how much of that was from the lance? Because I need to reduce that. 46 minus 7, so... 39. 39. Just from the lance, sorry. So the 2d12s, yeah, and your modifier. And 20.
Starting point is 00:17:40 So 20. So that would become, so you should take 10 from that, and then you did 40, how much? 46 total. So then it would be 26 radiant. Okay, so 36 damage total. So with that, although she does manage to smack into the side of the lance, you force it down into her neck,
Starting point is 00:17:58 and the spiraling energy breaks and shatters part of the armor, now exposing almost her shoulder and the top half of her arm. You can see just this blackened, burnt skin, but there's still these red veins almost emitting fire and steam from within her own body, but now all the armor is shattered and broken around her shoulder, just like screaming as you do.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Still standing, though. Still standing. Oh, goddamn. End of turn, Century? End of turn, thank you. All right, Nova Vija. So we kind of cut across to the rooftops of the Great Temple, and we see a couple of these giant pieces of the tree falling down. You know that Shade and Hotshot, they're just within range,
Starting point is 00:18:37 but now you're over the rooftops, they're somewhere underneath you, you don't really know where they are. But what do you want to do? Have I seen Cerise recently? You saw her just as you basically left the tree and then flew out. You're now probably not able to see her from where you are. Imagine that you've kind of got a giant massive cathedral underneath you.
Starting point is 00:18:55 So there's a big tower and stuff, and that's probably gonna block line of sight to her. I kind of want to reconnect with Hot Shot and Shade. You would just need to go back down to ground level. Yeah. If I go down to, like, can I see Cerise? Yeah, if that's what you want to do, but you'll need to make that decision and then deal with, like, if she can see you,
Starting point is 00:19:15 that will just be where you are. It's like, do you go down and try and find Hotshot and Shade, which means basically flying off the roof down into, like, the grounds off the roof down into like the grounds of the temple and you'll probably have to go through the temple itself. Cerise will then probably be able to see you if she's down there or you can continue flying along the rooftops and maybe you'll get cover or protection from where she is. I want to go and connect with Hotshot and Shade.
Starting point is 00:19:43 You fly back down to where you saw them and you see the pair of them basically look like they're going through a side entrance. If you've been to a grand cathedral, you know that they sometimes have these little annexes and cloisters to the side. They're basically about to enter a doorway when they see you flying down. You also do see, still emerging from this cocoon dripping in sack, her armor not quite fully formed, one of her legs very thin and mutated, almost like it was still skeletal almost,
Starting point is 00:20:12 not quite as if she's not been fully regrown, a pair of vestigial insect-like wings buzzing at her back, and she staggers out, you! And she's gonna, yeah, no, she's not gonna attack, but she has seen the group of you, basically. So I'm going to take up a defensive, like kind of hunker down in front of Hotshot and Shade,
Starting point is 00:20:31 bring up the shield and say, Cerise Fairwind. Is it Fairwind? Yep. Cerise Fairwind, stand down. I destroyed the tree. I will destroy you. Can't help it. It just does not seem to be.
Starting point is 00:20:49 There is a force at play here that is not allowing them to have their own free will. Are they close enough for me to attack? Not melee. They're still at a decent range. They're probably like 60, 70 feet away. And they're drawing their bow. They're not going to be coming closer. They're just drawing a bead on away. In which case... And they're drawing their bow. They're not going to be coming closer. They're just drawing a bead on you.
Starting point is 00:21:07 In which case, I will say to Hotshot and Shade... Yeah, you can give commands to them. I need healing, please. Shade, heal me. Hotshot, attack with me. Okay. Shade begins pulling out a single potion of regular healing. Better nothing!
Starting point is 00:21:32 Yeah, okay, well, I'll make their attacks afterwards, but yeah, if you want to do... So it's going to have to be an Eldritch Blaster, I think. Because that's what I can do at this range. First is a 18 to hit. 18's not enough. She actually dodges to the side. 22 to hit. Will hit. 15 points of damage.
Starting point is 00:21:55 15. Kind of catches her in the shoulder. 30 to hit. 30 hits. 10. 10 points of force damage. Staggers her back a second time. 29 to hit. 30 hits. Uh, 10. 10 points of force damage. Staggers her back a second time. 29 to hit.
Starting point is 00:22:09 29 hits. Uh, 10 to hit, 10 damage. 10 points of damage. Kind of slamming into her form. You remember fighting Cerise before, she is still very tough as well, even not fully formed, injured, but still capable of fighting. And just like, is just drawing the bow like,
Starting point is 00:22:28 finish you off. Like just is, you know, really straining and struggling, but still capable. Can I bonus action drink a potion of greater healing? You can, yeah. Do you want me to roll it? Yes, please. That's going to be...
Starting point is 00:22:43 4d4 plus four. Yep, I got it. That's going to be 13 points of healing. Is that plus the 4? That's plus the 4, yep. 13, and then Shade basically, clunk, pours another one in your mouth, which is a regular, for 9 points of healing. Rolled quite high on that one. And then Hotshot will take a blast with her Arm Cannon, unfortunately missing, as it goes wide.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Cool. End of turn, Nova. End of turn. The Plague Knight, Cerise Fairwind, goes directly after you. So you've got them behind you, right? You said that you were going to stand in front of them. She pulls out, hooks a piece of long sinew to her arrow,
Starting point is 00:23:22 and is going to fire a tethering shot. I need you and the two guardians to make dexterity saving throws. I'll worry about the guardians. Okay. Nine. Nine points. You are going to take full damage. They are going to take half damage.
Starting point is 00:23:37 They do manage to jump out of the way of the tether. The tether basically connects you to the door behind you. Now you have this long sinewy rope shot through your chest or through your side of your body, digging into the stone. I'm just going to take the average damage here because I don't have enough D8s.
Starting point is 00:23:55 How much HP do you have? 57. 54 points of poison damage. You would not have those potions. Damn. But yeah, this arrow, and you feel the poison kind of rupture through you. I also need you to make a,
Starting point is 00:24:10 nope, that's a different thing. The two guardians are going to take half that damage, which is 25, 27. They look nearly as badly as you. They have three hit points left each. Wait, so you all have three? Yeah, every single one of them has three hit points left. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:26 That's fine. And she stays like 60 feet back. And in fact, actually, we'll move to the side and find a piece of the broken tree and is like ducking behind it as cover, basically. We go to Quill on the other side of the battlefield. Yeah, so in terms of D&D rules. At the start of your turn, can you take 10 fire damage
Starting point is 00:24:48 and make a constitution saving throw for me, please? As this mace which is like, you know, trying to break like the ground is cracked around it, almost like it's too heavy for the tower's stone, is emitting this like incredible flaming presence. Oh boy. I got 13. On the con save?
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yeah. You gain a level of exhaustion as the intense heat is sapping away on your strength. Okay, let's just remind myself of what level 1 exhaustion is. It's disadvantage on ability checks, so things like attack rolls and saving throws, you're okay for now. Okay, the radius on this heat, did you say it was 30? 60. 60. Massive, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:27 So that's why you're still like, even though you're like 10 feet off the ground, you're still in like the area of its effect because it's like emanating this heat around. Is it radiating from the weapon itself? From the weapon itself, yes. And in terms of D&D rules... And it is a physical weapon.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Like it is like stuck in there. If I, can I, A, can I hold a bonus action uh yes i would say you can does it cost an action to hold a bonus act i think i would that's how i would rule it yes so you would use your action to hold an action which then also uses my reaction yes okay um i want to while i'm near ayla I want to mime a throwing action. I'm doing this. And I'm pointing at the flying knights. And then I want to fly 45 feet along the battlements.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Yeah, you're about 10 feet away. If you go 45, that would put you 55 feet away from the hammer. I think I've only got 45 feet of flying speed, so... You are just on the cusp. Yeah, but it's the best I can do. But if you want to fly it diagonally up, I would say that if you get up, the cooling air would actually lessen it.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I want to stay behind the wall. That guy tried to finger me last time. Right, so you're going to duck down behind the wall. Oh, like in the back. The wall that we're currently on. You're going to use that as cover? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, yeah, yeah. So I want to just fly... You're still in the radius the wall. Like the wall that we're currently on. You're gonna use that as cover. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I wanna just fly out.
Starting point is 00:26:48 You're still in the radius of the heat, unfortunately. And I will hold a... Are you not all quiet at times right now? I'm miming to you. Yeah, but can you cast that if you're silent? Once you get 20 feet away from the tower, you can hear again. like the sound comes back. But also the spell, it's a bonus action

Starting point is 00:57:22 But yeah, if you grab Shade, like, Shade's shade like shades like grabs you and like you both like it in the last thing you see is you just see hot shot just like slam the matrix it's like crack appears and then she just runs and you hear and there is this incredibly large explosion of light that throws the door behind you. You and Shade throw yourselves to the side as it's blown against it. You hear the cracking, breaking of trees as just, yeah, this incredibly large arcane explosion. Not enough, like, basically it would have done
Starting point is 00:57:58 what you did with the light. Not enough to destroy the tree itself, but it would have made it bright enough of an explosion that then the storm chaser could have attacked it basically um but yeah and uh yeah used her overcharged arcane cannon and and matrix uh do you want to make an arcana check for me 20 you think that because she used her matrix that that's it. Hotshot's gone forever. There's no, like, bringing her back into the matrix. She destroyed her matrix to enable that sort of destructive power.
Starting point is 00:58:32 So having the knowledge you have of the prime matrix and, like, your knowledge of magic, like, that wasn't like, oh, she can just go back into the matrix. That was her. You basically just use your turn to they should run through yeah so you and shade basically get through uh you make your way through a side cross cloister you basically have like a monk's abbot cloister like a kind of open-aired uh courtyard there is an exit on the opposite side to you that seems to be like a pair of double
Starting point is 00:59:01 doors that lead somewhere and then there is a larger pair of double doors on the side of the cloister. Which way do you want to go? Based on your graphical knowledge, the side of, you know, the sort of like navigational knowledge, that side door leads into the main keep building, the main temple. That one opposite you, you think will

Starting point is 01:04:43 Well, before you yeet it as well, I'll tell you. So to pick up this weapon, you have to make a DC strength athletics check, please, and you will take 30 fire damage. As you grip the handle, like, your hands blister and burn, but yeah, athletics check. And you'd have advantage because you're raging. 19 plus.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Athletics. Athletics is like 11 or 12. This hammer is, this mace, sorry, is incredibly dense and heavy. Unnaturally so. Like it's made of metal that is making it heavier and weightier. Almost the opposite to the Howling Templars, which is way lighter than it should be.

It doesn't get halved, but as you land on top of her, you deal 12 points of bludgeoning damage to her as you kind of land on her and then step back to ready to strike. Starting point is 01:08:37 The lightning damage, again, striking the chest where, like, the starbreaker has nearly drilled in this,

Even though she's still alive and kicking, enough damage has been dealt to her chest. The armor's been blasted and ripped apart, and now there is this beating heart that almost looks like it's on fire.

Starting point is 01:12:35 As he just lands on top of Elwynn, like superhero punch into the chest cavity and the radiant light of his belief in the Valkyrian Empire snuffs out the black flame and the heart stops. And the last thing as you are all out of the silence, you just see the rage dies down.
Starting point is 01:12:56 The fire extinguishes in Elwynn. The fire in her eyes. The rage subsides. And there is a grateful, sad look on this beaten bloodied half or this woman's face and she just mentioned she doesn't even say the word she just mouths it and enough that you can see thank you and then the body goes still. Oh, damn. Hell yeah.
