Hello, Hello. Welcome back to part two of Hyrule as a Roess.
Our party are currently engaged in a battle, a duel of sorts,
against Kalas Valkyrian, a.k.a. Kalas Starbane,
an enemy that has been present throughout their history
from the beginning of the campaign,
and now testing them to see if the champions are strong enough an enemy that has been present throughout their history from the beginning of the campaign.
And now testing them to see if the champions are strong enough to go against Hadar.
They are fighting in the abandoned sky city of Kassatoris.
And that's where we jump back in today
at the top of a brand new round.
Rhiannon, are you with us?
Yeah, just about.
All right, you got a while.
You're near the end.
You got a couple of turns before yours.
All right. So, Calus, being Calus you got a while. You're near the end. You got a couple of turns before yours. All right.
So, Calus, being Calus, has a lot of things to do.
Your price.
First thing he's going to do is look towards Nova.
Hi-ya!
Uh-oh.
You wish to reunite.
Very well.
Holds up to the Yangong, flicks it,
and a manifestation of the blade itself.
Dang.
Oh!
Brutal.
Very similar in a sense that you used to be able
to manifest a more humanoid form.
This seems to be the Eterna form of Tiangong.
Can I catch it in my hand?
No, well, you can try to as it tries to slice your head off.
I'll catch it with my head, please.
That is going to be a 24 to hit.
Yes, that'll hit me.
It has been known.
That is going to be 20 slashing damage
and 10 force damage, 30 total.
That was a big roll.
It was a big roll.
A big roll.
And yeah, you feel in your head this voice.
Ah, so you are the one,
the one that bonded with my other self.
Strange they are not here now.
To the rest of you.
May as well just punch her in the gut.
He basically like flicks the blade,
watches this spectral form goes over to the over,
and then just turns immediately towards Ayla,
and the line of view that is before him.
I was about to say, where I'm sitting,
there is a beautiful line.
Pulls the blade in, sweeping plasma cutter!
And sends a line 15 foot wide and 30 foot long,
which I believe Sentry will just get out at five, 10, 15, 25, 30, Sentry which I believe Century will just get out of.
5, 10, 15, 25, 30.
Century, you are just out of it, but the rest of you...
Luckily, I'm just in.
...need to make dexterity saving throws, please.
I was going to say, where I'm staying, there's a beautiful...
Yeah.
...advantage on those.
This is a magitek effect, so yes, they would,
except for Aayla, because I think she's out of range because you are out of
range of the attack so i got 20. that's a failure i'm afraid three plus three as well yep uh sorry
what save is it dexterity dexterity okay maybe so i failed it for alia so far i got 19.
ready for quills 23. 23 is a success for Lucius, so half damage to Lucius.
I'm going to take no damage.
You're going to take none because...
Oh, he will take none because of the Circle of Power?
Yep.
That's big.
Ayla and Quill, I have a question.
Do you want me to roll or do you want me to take the average?
I'd like a roll, please.
Oh!
Why would you do that?
Because I trust in low.
20.
This is going gonna suck.
What type of damage is it?
Probably not resistible.
Not resistible by me, unless he's a lucky poison.
Under average.
Dodgy.
It's still 42 points of force damage.
Oh, damn it.
Force, yeah.
And you gain a stack of Magitek Field.
Oh.
We're taking all the hits, Squill!
Yeah, why am I tanking this?
I mean, I'm taking a lot of emotional damage right now.
They're bullying me to death.
Yeah, that's true.
He will then also move the dampening field.
Oh!
So round... Oh, it catches Ayla to sheathe.
So he kind of pulls that across.
Is there a specific device on him that's causing it?
Yeah, you can see that he taps a piece on his wrist guard.
He has two wrist guards, armoured plates over them,
but it looks like he uses those to activate a lot of his match tech.
The plasma cutter was from the blade, it just seems to be his power,
but this, the Dampening Field, he kind of like boop-boop,
and then swipes it and it moves over.
Dampening Field, Quill, Lucius, Ayla, wisdom saving throw please.
Is this still advantage?
Yeah.
Are you shitting all over my face right now?
I could be.
Can someone shit all over my face right now?
Man, no I don't think I'm going to...
Sounds like you failed. Ayla, 19 failure for Quill.
18.
18 failure. Everyone fails. That is that you're all affected by the slow spell.
Everybody gains a stack of Magitek Field.
Do you count the plus 3s as well from his entry?
Yeah.
Okay.
It wouldn't have mattered if you didn't have Magitek Field.
But yeah.
So everyone is affected by slow and you gain a stack of Magitek Field.
And then the last thing you can do is make one attack against Aayla.
Fuck.
Yep.
However, 24.
Yes, it'll hit.
Okay. Two stacks it'll hit.
Two stars now.
That's going to be 19 slashing, so half that down to eight,
and then six points of force damage.
And then we go to Aayla's turn.
I'm going to move out of the thing.
Okay.
Five feet here, thing. Okay. Five feet here? Sure, yes, yes, yes.
Okay.
Dear apologies, just before you act, one last thing.
The two swirling vortexes, I have to roll to see which direction they travel in.
So, one, and I'm going to go round.
So one at the top.
One, two, three, four, five.
Five? Straight into me.
It goes diagonally right, so I go five.
Like that. Quill, I need you to make a straight turn.
Yeah, advantage again, I guess.
It's a spell effect.
It doesn't matter. Well, maybe actually.
I got a 20 that time.
20, and I'm afraid not.
Okay.
10 points of slashing damage, but you are pulled out of the field.
Hey!
Way to go, there's a benefit.
Thanks, Starbane. Idiot.
Well, he doesn't control them now. They're now just moving around. Sorry, Ayla, continue
your turn.
I'm going to try and hit him. That was 23.
23 hits. 16 hammer, 6 lightning.
So 19 total.
And I rolled a 3, so 18 won't hit.
That won't hit, and it will activate one of his reactions.
Can he...so I forgot, the one that did hit,
because I've hit him with an attack,
can you make a...
Hang on, what kind of save is that?
I can use my reaction to knock him prone, strength save.
Hmm.
It was a natural 20 as well.
37.
Nevermind, that's pretty strong.
He's very strong.
Also, you missed him with one attack,
which means he can use his try again reaction
to hit you with a powerful strike.
For a 23 to hit.
It's gonna be 12 bludgeoning, so half to six. And I need you to make a strength saving throw
as he's gonna try and knock the hammer out of your hands.
29.
29 is enough, yeah.
So he tries to, as you miss,
he tries to bring his blade down on the crossguard or in between the hammer and try and yank it out of your hand,
but you shove him off, basically.
He still strikes you a little bit,
but we prevent him from disarming you.
Dex save.
Dex save through.
That is going to be a 16.
17 lightning damage there's eight lightning damage uh this is kind of you can see now that like the sluggish movements like the armor is still absorbing it he's not reacting like he's in pain
or anything like that you've been pummelmeling him but he is kind of like
becoming more aware
and sort of like
more cautious
as he's fighting you
as he does so.
Can I just step around
to the side of him a bit?
I want to just be further away.
Like.
Five, ten.
Just.
Yeah, there.
There.
That would unfortunately
trigger your field stats.
What?
You move more than 10 feet.
Moved 15 feet.
But I didn't attack, so it would've triggered anyway.
Oh yeah, that's right, you would've triggered attack.
You attacked twice.
So three force damage.
And then you lose one of those stacks
at the end of your turn.
We go to Lucius.
How close do I have to be to these swirling thingies
to get sucked in and hurt by them?
If they pass within five feet of you,
or you move within five feet of them,
they can try and grab you.
But they have a 15 for aura of difficult terrain around them.
Oh.
15.
Around them?
Yeah.
So I'm already in it, technically.
No. I thought it was five feet. around them yep so I'm already in it technically no
I thought it was 5 feet
5 feet for it to like
actually damage you
and try and pull you in
15 foot of difficult terrain
around it
oh I see
so yeah 5
10
oh it's just there
yeah it's just out
yeah
so if I start moving away
5
10
yep
you do gain another stack
because you start in the field
so you have another stack of you start in the field,
so you have another stack of magitek.
If I was to do an action now, I'd take damage.
You are slowed.
I can just do one action, can't I?
You can. All bonus.
Okay.
I'm going to...
Is it time yet?
Yeah, I'm going to start doing it now.
Prismatic Mastery.
Okay.
So six sorcerer points.
A bonus action?
An action.
It's a bonus action.
How many stacks of Magistrate Field do you have?
Two.
Three points of force.
But I haven't used an action.
You've used a bonus action.
Does it?
It triggers on more than ten feet of movement, a bonus action, or if you attack more than once in a round. It I haven't used an action. You've used a bonus action. Does it? It triggers on more than 10 feet of movement, a bonus action,
or if you attack more than once in a round.
It doesn't trigger on an action.
It triggers on a bonus action, more than 10 feet,
or if you attack multiple times.
So three points of force damage.
It's an action.
All right.
In that case, don't take the three force damage.
I'm not taking it.
All right.
I refuse.
That's me.
Okay.
You do lose one stack of Magitek Field at the end of your turn,
but you are still currently in the field,
so you are still affected by Slow.
At the end of your turn, Lucius,
I'm gonna use a Legendary Action,
and I'm gonna use, I've only got two more points of energy,
so I'll use them now.
And he's gonna try and do the same thing
he did to Sentry to you.
Can you make an intelligence saving throw
for me, please lucius so smart that's the good thing
that's a one yeah that's one that's a one you're gonna take
oh you get advantage oh you do get advantage. Five.
Wow.
Not good enough, I'm afraid.
That is going to be nine points of psychic damage.
You can't take reactions until the end of your next turn.
And on your next turn, you choose whether you move, action, or bonus action.
You only get one.
Alrighty.
That is legendary.
We go to Sentry.
I would like to bonus action Misty Step.
That's the only action I can take currently.
Yep, that is what I was going to say.
You are currently affected by the Mind Whip.
So you can teleport up to 30 feet.
I will Misty Step to that bottom corner of the...
Like here?
Yeah, down there.
That would be perfect, thank you.
Can someone just nudge Sentry?
Like, I just need like a little bit towards...
Over.
Yeah, literally here. So that'll be my whole turn.
I don't have any magitek field stacks.
Nope, great, perfect.
That's my turn, thank you.
That is your turn.
Alrighty, Nova Vija.
Can I get Starbane?
I mean, you can if you'd like to try and move.
I will, and I'll take an attack from...
You will, from Tiangong.
That is going to be 36.
That might just, yeah.
Just a graze.
Actually, no, 26.
No, yeah, yeah.
You might have AC boosting stuff.
I can't remember what you guys have.
You have a lot of stuff.
18.
I won't remember that.
18.
17 slashing, 7 force, so 24 total.
21 is our highest AC as a collective, unless Quill.
Okay, well, unless you shield it
or use abilities and stuff.
As I'm moving towards him, I will Hexblade Curse him.
Great.
And then we'll start going in and seeing what happens.
Perfect, love it.
Did a lot of damage last time.
That is a 20 to hit.
20 does not hit.
You will activate his reaction.
Try again because he gets multiple reactions.
That is going to be a 22 to hit.
That hits.
So this is going to be 11 points of bludgeoning damage,
and he's going to try and do the same thing.
Before you make your next attack, I need you to make a strength saving throw.
Oh, I'm really good at those, yeah.
Oh, 18 minus 2.
16.
So as you go to strike, you miss, and he just looks like a shame.
Flips and then knocks Tiangong out of your hand.
You are currently disarmed.
Stop, Tiangong.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
Your new sword, which I can't remember the name of.
Mundane.
Something.
I can't remember.
Starlight sword, something?
Farseeker, the starlight blade.
Farseeker, that's it.
Knocks Farseeker out of your hands.
It's just on the ground next to you,
but it would be an action to retrieve it.
Doesn't throw it towards one of us.
No.
For the purposes of the narrative,
like, it's just on the ground.
Nova can just pick it up,
but she needs a turn.
So if you have another weapon,
you could draw another weapon if you have another weapon on your person.
Or you could punch.
Or you can cast a spiel.
I can't. Actually, no, because you've started attacking,
so you'd have to attack with another weapon.
I don't have anything on my inventory because it all disintegrated.
Punch.
But I am a hexblade warlock.
Could I summon with them?
You can, I believe.
I think it might be an action to do it, though.
I can't remember.
I'm desperately trying to find it.
This is one of those rare things
that doesn't come up in play often very much and I don't know off the top of my
head if you can summon it I'm just trying to find it
where are you hexblade curse hex warrior I don't I don't think I can because I think it's like pact of the blade yeah actually something back I think it's Hex Warrior. I don't, I don't think I can.
Because I think it's like Pact of the Blade
is what can actually summon it back.
I think it's like a full action to summon it anyway, so.
Yeah.
Wanna do some punches?
You want punchy?
I have a bonus action.
Well, you still have two more attacks,
if you want a punch.
And a bonus action.
Yeah, you do.
Because I'm kind of wondering,
could I bonus action summon you do because I'm kind of wondering could I
bonus action summon echo and attack through them yeah yeah absolutely you can manifest
because you can would you let me do the remaining two attacks yeah I'd say so yeah sure yeah
technically you should have like activated them first but like no I can't because I hex
blade curse the bastard all right so I'm gonna right. So I'm going to punch him. Yeah.
I'm going to punch him.
Just like kicks and punches,
just like a school kid flailing.
I love it.
Actually, I can't.
My unarmed strike is zero.
Oh, you can't hit him.
No, you can if you roll a nat 20.
It always hits.
Or a 19.
Yeah, that's true.
But I've got zero on damage.
Like, I've got zero on damage.
It's a minimum of one.
It's always a minimum. I think because my strength is minus two. But if you crit, on damage. Like, I've got zero on damage. It's always a minimum of one. It's always a minimum.
I think if my strength is minus two.
But if you crit, two damage.
Two damage.
I just want to see if you actually do it.
13.
20!
She got it.
That's right.
Jeez, that was two points of damage.
Oh, that was loud.
Punch that man.
I got two points of damage out of 20.
Zoe, you tell me what that looks like.
How do you punch or kick or unarm strike Calus?
I think seeing the ethereal blade,
seeing him take away another one of my weapons,
Nova is just crying inside,
and she just manifests all her anger and her sadness
and just punches him on the jaw.
For the first time, you don't think that
the look is because of pain or anything it's just pure shock and surprise like as you kind of he's
tall like nova's small you jump and like punch him across the jaw and he doesn't move it like
taps him and then bounces off and he just looks at you like I did not think you had it in you. Like this look of like, wow, okay, you actually got me.
I am done with having things taken away from me.
Then you should hold on tighter.
Oh, you're getting another slap.
In fact, actually, at the end of Nova's turn,
I'm gonna take a Tiangua Legendary Action attack
against you for a 24.
Let's kill him.
That was so quick.
I was really worryingly quick not saying that.
It was 16 slashing 9 force,
so that's going to be 25 total.
Quill.
I want to get out of the range of this thing.
I also want to buff everybody.
I also want to heal everything.
I also want to hurt him.
I also want to move a lot in the space of one turn.
How tall is the cyclone thing, actually?
It's maybe like 5, 10 feet, but it's just like a...
I'd say it's even...
It's just 5 feet. It's like you know, maybe like five, ten feet, but it's just like a... I'd say it's even... It's just five feet.
It's like a medium creature.
And I see all the potential futures
of me doing all of those things.
How many did we win?
One.
And I fucking do it
because I'm casting Time Stop.
What?
Tommy boy!
Yes, yes, yes.
Tell me what it does!
I'm excited! It's my favorite spell!
Yes.
I...
In the spell, I stop the flow of time.
For Quill, I see...
How many rounds? Because I think it's like a roll, right?
Well, I'll find out how many I see.
It's a d4 plus one turns in a row.
Okay.
For Quill, I see all these futures,
and I try to manifest them all into reality.
Different Quills doing different things, and they all pass through into the real world,
all casting spells at the same time.
Holy shit.
And I take four turns.
Oh yeah!
Now, I will say, the audience at home, me and Tom have agreed,
because I trust Tom, and I don't like the way Time Stop works normally
because it is very restrictive.
So what we've agreed is that as long as he doesn't interfere
with the hit points of a creature or tries to move them
or basically interacts with a specific creature,
like tries to take their equipment away or move them
or heal them or damage them, he can take those turns.
Because Time Stop is kind of like,
oh, if you cast a spell on a creature, it fucks it up.
I think that's lame.
If you do anything that affects anyone.
I think that's kind of lame.
Whereas the idea of like,
because the whole point of it is to do exactly what Tom's doing now,
which is like buff, buff, buff, dispel, dispel,
do a bunch of cool stuff, then it all goes off at once.
So we've said as long as he doesn't interfere with the hit points,
the location or the equipment,
basically doesn't actually affect a creature
with something direct like that, that's going to change the battle necessarily, then location, or the equipment, basically doesn't actually affect a creature with something direct like that
that's going to change the battle necessarily,
then he's cool to do it. So, in case anybody
at home is wondering why it's going to work a bit differently.
So, Tom, you got four turns, baby!
Does that include the one I just took?
No. I just have an extra
four turns. Right, okay.
Let's go, Tommy. Let's go.
Well, I will
have moved away from the...
I would also say, because you stop the flow of time,
things like the vortex, the field,
none of those effects are going to affect you.
You are immune to those effects
because they are happening in real time.
I know you're kind of manifesting this all at once,
but imagine that for a brief moment,
all of those realities are acting at once
outside the flow of time.
So it's like the world has gone still.
Like Kalos has just been punched.
Aayla's kind of like, he's like striking it,
like, you know, all of that.
And it just...
I mean, I'm obviously going to take a couple of turns
to sort of walk around and just sort of tap stuff
and watch them move slowly through the air.
But yeah, if the vortex has stopped next to me...
Yeah, you are free to do whatever you want.
So if I had time stop as the first thing,
I'm trying to figure out how to...
You have four turns now,
so imagine that this is the start of a brand new turn,
you've got move, action, action, bonus action.
Actually, it doesn't matter either way.
All right, I'm going to fly up 15 feet.
Oh, perfect, you got one.
Somewhere.
Like above the field, so I'm not affected by that.
I'm gonna cast Bacon of Hope.
All right, so everybody gets what Bacon does,
because I've said it a million times.
You all know.
Everybody gets what Bacon does.
All the hits.
Because I only moved 15 feet and used an action,
a no bonus action, I'll lose all my stacks
of Magitek Field.
Second turn, I'm going to bring out Elder Quill
as a bonus action and cast Holy Aura.
So everyone within 30 feet of me now has,
anyone that attacks them has disadvantage against them.
Yep, as well as other things if they're undead.
He is not undead.
He is not undead.
He's not undead, but everyone's within 30 of me, aren't they?
I don't know. You tell me.
I might be just on the edge.
Yeah, no. Nova might just be up if you do that.
Oh, yeah.
You're fine. It's a plenty of turns to move a bit closer.
This is turn two that you're taking now.
This is turn two. Turn three. Now, I didn't actually expect to get this many turns he hasn't
planned this far ahead because I've only got two levels of concentration I can
use yes I can't effect spells oh actually I can do this I can dispel ah
that effect underneath me I'd say you can this is what level of dispel that effect underneath me. I'd say you can. Um... This is what level of Dispel Magic are you going to use?
So I'm going to cast this at 5th level.
Okay.
Um...
I would say at 5th level, you do not need to roll.
It is automatically dispelled.
Okay.
Okay, and...
Before you get it.
In changing health, I will automatically end...
Yes.
...my time stop. This will be the fourth turn you are currently now on.
So I'll use this turn to heal.
This time I will do a Mask Cure Wounds.
With bacon.
With bacon at sixth level.
Okay.
Which is 4d8 maxed plus 6.
16, 32, 38.
38 healing to everyone.
Awesome.
And because of Spellbreaker,
anybody who has Magitek Field Stacks loses them.
So to the rest of you,
there is a moment where there is just nothing.
The battle is proceeding as normal,
and then suddenly Quill is not where he was.
He's glowing with this holy power.
Elder Quill from the staff,
this future image of Quill is beside him,
both of them channeling and casting spells,
as the field, the dampening field disappears,
and then this healing magic just flows through you.
Like...
And everything just happens all at once.
Lucius gets a spurting nosebleed.
And on my final turn,
I will also fly back to hide behind Sentry.
Mommy!
I do the thing.
I now need to hold onto these concentrations.
Yeah.
Are you still in the air or are you on the floor?
Close enough so that if this, well, Sentry's large, so.
Are you on the floor though?
I'll be.
Are you on the ground or are you up in the air?
I'll be 10 feet in the air.
All right, behind Sentry still.
10 feet is not behind.
It's not behind Sentry.
It's like you're not getting any cover.
Well, she's big Sentry,
but you're not gonna get any cover.
I'll go, I'll land, I'll go behind Sentry.
So if you get-
Perch on her shoulder like a parrot.
I don't want to perch on her shoulder, but. Yeah. She's about to go in Cintria. Perch on her shoulder like a parrot. I don't want to perch on her shoulder.
She's about to go in.
All right.
Quill, you see
Calus kind of like,
he looks at you
and just kind of
smirks a bit.
Mastered time magic.
Yes. It's the only way this is
possible. And he just looks at you,
and there's like a look of respect,
but also now a, my next target.
Yeah, I mean, yeah.
Yeah, that makes sense.
So, Tom Hazel, can you roll a d6 for me, please?
Because I need to see if certain abilities have recharged.
D6, two.
Two, does not recharge.
Alrighty.
I should use my Blitz Claws.
Calus is gonna use a bonus action
to maneuver Tiangong.
He is going to...
Let me see, let me see, let me see.
Too many things I can do.
Too many things.
Five spell slots in one turn.
The start of his turn, he's brought a text.
Come on, man, it's fine.
Yeah, yeah.
He is going to...
He will use Replicate spell to spend some energy. Five, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen.
He will use Replicate spell to spend some energy and use Misty Step.
Damn it!
Oh, welcome.
Then he will move with his normal movement to here.
Hello.
Hey, bud.
Hello, Birdman.
Hey, how's it going?
Hey, what up?
Welcome to the Pain Train.
And then he will make his remaining attacks.
I will protect what?
Attacks, plural.
Yeah.
First of all, we'll have one attack from Manifested Tiangong to Nova.
You don't actually need to protect.
He's got disadvantage anyway.
Oh, yeah.
But Tiangong is technically a separate creature in this regard,
so I'm going to not give disadvantage.
Oh, it's any creature.
Yeah, any attack. In that case'm going to not give disadvantage. Oh, it's any creature. Any attack.
It's not just him.
That is going to be a 25 still to hit Unova from Tiangong.
Yeah.
A little trumpet in there.
I prefer that Tiangong, not trumpet.
14 slashing, 8 force.
Quit saying that.
That is going to be 22 total to Nova. As Tiangong cuts through.
What have you done with my other half?
Where are they?
I do not sense them.
They sacrificed themselves to save Vortensar.
I tried to stop them.
There's no, no, no reaction.
No response.
Come back on next turn.
So that's going to be that. And then yeah, Sentry is gonna attack Quill three times.
Yeah. With disadvantage.
With disadvantage, because he's already got the disadvantage.
The first one is gonna be a 22.
Oh no, technically it was lower. I thought I couldn't roll lower than a four.
Rolled a natural one.
First one's a miss.
Wow.
Actually, what is it?
No, the natural one was automatic miss.
The next one, however, is going to be a 25.
Yep.
That's going to be a big hit.
20 slashing, seven fours for 27 total.
27?
Holy shit. Okay.
And then constitution 7-3 please.
I'm beating what? 14? 13?
27... 13.
So for bacon, that is a constitution. That is a success.
And the other one is a huge fail. Holy Aura is already gone.
That is a 32. Hit on the neck. Okay.
That's going to be 16 slashing, 8 force for 24.
And then you should make a Charisma saving throw. Just hit your twice.
Oh, Charisma. Yeah. I'll do the constitution first. Oh, please do. Bacon.
Bacon will be fine, I think.
Yeah, 16.
Yep.
And charisma.
Charisma saving throw.
Charisma.
That's...
Do you get advantage on that?
This is a magical effect.
Oh, would I have had advantage on the concentration?
Okay.
That's just you being hit by a sword.
There's nothing magic about that, I'm afraid.
Oh no, I mean Sentry's Aura
for constitution saves.
Not for concentrating on a spell.
You got hit by a weapon attack.
Yeah.
Well, that is a... Oh, 23
with a plus 3.
It's just barely a success.
Because again, you try and feel
that team trying to warp you to another place, but it doesn't take effect. is just barely a success. Because again, you try and feel that
tinder trying to warp you to another place
but it doesn't take effect.
And that is going to be all of his
attempts with his use of Repetition Bell.
Yeah, what damage was I taking?
So just slashing.
Slashing and force.
I said each time.
Why?
Ayla.
Oh, hi.
I got so distracted because Tom had such a cool move that I did not realize we were here. I'm going to just stroll casually towards his face.
Yes, a royal rumble. Get everyone in here. Come, fight!
30 to hit.
30 hits.
Technically, if it's a royal rumble, there needs to be something that can be thrown out
of.
Shut up.
21 on the hammer.
Off the top rope of the island.
Or lightning.
Exactly.
So an extra piece of 23 total.
Into the ocean.
If your feet touch the ocean, you're out.
15 plus 18.
33 high high.
Hits.
Hit.
Ooh.
22 on the hammer.
Four lightning.
So another two.
Can you make a strength save?
Can.
Rules go.
Not a natural 20 this time, but I'm gonna work it out.
That is gonna be 25.
He's very strong.
I know.
He is strong.
I know, but one time he might not be.
He is stronger than you.
Deck save, please.
That he's terrible at, 15.
Fail.
Right now.
Oh, Portance.
No, no, no, no.
17.
Although, did you roll Portance?
No, I was doing advantage on the constitution save for concentration
because of the aura and the plus three and stuff.
They're both still gone.
I rolled terribly.
Oh, really?
If that was the case, then they're still gone.
You definitely do not get the advantage from centuries thing on a concentration spell.
You do not get it.
It's not just advantage on saving points.
Well, even with the plus threes, they got it.
Yeah, don't forget the plus three.
All right.
End of your turn.
That is the only thing that I can do.
End of your turn.
Yes.
I'm gonna use a legendary action to fight you.
Well, actually, no, he's gonna attack the Birdman.
No, attack me, not the Birdman.
He is.
He wants the Birdman dead.
He's not gonna kill him, is he?
20. 20 to hit.
Um...
Yeah.
Yeah. Okay.
If I match AC, sorry, I know we've been playing
for 20 years. Yeah, matches, yeah.
If it meets it, it beats it.
15 slashing
and 8 force,
so 23 total.
Okay.
Okay.
Legendary action Lucius.
Lucius is going to hop off this rubble,
be about there.
Yep.
He's gonna fire a chromatic orb.
Okay.
Of ice at Dinky Donker Boy.
Who? Wow.
I don't know who that is. Fella.
Big purple fella.
One thing I forgot,
when he made the legendary action attack,
Tiangong also got to make an attack.
How cute.
That's going to be 27
for 16 slashing,
nine force,
25 total.
Lucius, continue.
27 to hit.
27 hits. Dichromantic orb.
27 hits.
Ice.
What does that do?
There is some resistance to ice.
Okay, cool.
33 points of ice.
So, 16.
Now, a couple things are going to happen.
I'm going to Dicromancy.
And because I'm in my Prismatic Mastery form,
I can choose any spell type.
Necromancy.
You mean Necrotic.
Yeah, Necrotic.
How much damage?
24.
24 from a Dicromancy.
Oh, because you get your bonus because of Prismatic.
No resistance.
So you kind of like, you turn it black
as you throw it and just.
And like for the first time, like the armor doesn't absorb
like all of the elemental energy
and Kalos doesn't really like,
he doesn't like grunt or anything,
he just strikes him and he almost seems surprised
and he turns around and yeah, like just seems like,
oh, okay, that was unexpected.
The other thing I'm going to do,
defensive Dicromancy on Quill of Force.
Who? Defensive Dicromancy?
It has to be the same type of you dealt, doesn't it?
I can't remember what the rulings are,
but I don't think it just lets you pick any type.
When you use a Dicromancy feature to deal damage,
you're.
So it's the type that matches the necromancy,
so you would give him resistance to necromancy.
Can I chromatic control that?
No, because when you do a spell,
you can chromatic control it, I think.
What a magical effect.
Oh, magical effect.
In that case, in theory, you could.
But that costs all three points, right?
Good God.
So you hit him with necromancy.
Pull a fragment of it to surround Quill.
Change it into force.
And then change it into force, yeah.
You see, as I splash him with necrotic energy,
a big skull.
Some of that twists and comes towards you.
But then that skull turns into Lucius's face
and he smiles and he kisses you.
That's what...
I'm surrounded by this kind of shimmering barrier of That skull turns into Lucius's face and he smiles and kisses you. That's what forces you to do.
You become surrounded by this shimmering barrier of probably like...
Which is probably equally as terrifying.
Yeah.
A little peck.
That will help with six seconds.
So what does that...
You get resistance until the end of your next turn, I think.
Let me double check.
Resistance to force.
I can't remember these abilities.
Use this feature a number of times. Resistance until the end of your next turn. Great. Resistance to force damage until the't remember these abilities. Use this feature a number of times.
Resistance until the end of your next turn.
Great.
Resistance to force damage.
That's pretty cool.
Okay.
You done, Lucius?
Yeah, I think I'm done.
You're done maxed out my turn there.
That was a lot.
Yeah, can you speed up your turns, please?
Sorry.
I'll time stop next time.
Yeah.
Well, Kalos is still going to use the legendary action
and he's still going to attack Will.
Yeah. Natural one.
Oh!
Just misses, kind of distracted by the blast going on around him,
completely distracted by it.
When he does attack with the legendary, he does get to attack.
I can see a mirage of Lucius just kiss Will.
28th, hitting over.
I'm feeling things. Never seen that before.
15 slashing, six force for 21.
That's the end of Lucius.
Sent we.
End of Lucius.
One, two, smackaroo town, please.
Get him!
Here we go.
Here we go.
15 plus 13, 28.
Will hit.
Sick.
Now, for the damage, I would highly recommend splitting out
because Starbreaker, is it dealing force damage now?
It does force damage with the D12s
and then radiant damage with the D8s.
All right, half everything.
Yeah.
You roll it all together and then half it all
because he's resistance to both currently.
Yeah.
He doesn't have any regular...
No, Starbreaker converts it into force damage.
Which is normally good against creatures
that have resistance against weapon damage and stuff.
Oh, sick.
All right.
10, 14, 20, 25, 26...
If it falls off the table, it's void unless it rolls high.
Apparently.
But you know what?
I'll let it slide.
Okay.
She's only a paladin.
She needs every advantage.
All the help she can get.
33 halved is... 16. 16. 16 damage only a paladin. She needs every advance. All the help she can get. 33 halved is...
16.
16.
16 damage for the first hit.
16 damage for the first hit.
Starbreaker kind of trying to drill through the thick armor.
That was a level four Divine Smite.
I feel all his nips.
Drilling his nips.
Number two.
28 again.
Hits.
Sickness.
Come on.
Another level four.
Same again. Keep the dice out. Hits. Sickness. Another level four. Sickness.
Just keep the dice out.
I know. Oh my god.
Actually needed that.
1, 3, 7.
12.
12, 24.
24.
She rolled a 12.
A lot of 12.
24, 28.
That's hot shit. 24... She rolled a 12. A lot of 8. 24... 28...
That's hot shit.
36...
She's gone full gremlin.
52 halved.
26.
26 for the second one.
Oh, Jesus.
Good lord.
And then, can I bonus action give Quill a potion of greater healing?
You absolutely can. I shall do that.
Feeding an action to another is an action.
Oh, it's an action, okay.
You can potion yourself,
but essentially nothing quite does.
Stab, stab.
Precisely the reason you can't do it.
But yeah, the armor you watch is like
Starbreaker is like drilling into the armor
and you can begin to see parts of the armor cracking
and you begin to see Starbane
almost pushing back against Sentry,
kind of trying to force the blade down.
And he just looks at you, he's just like,
this is a warrior.
This is a battle now.
Wow, I punched him in the face.
End of turn?
Yeah.
Nova Vigia.
Thank you, Starbane.
Thanks.
I'd like to do something a little off the rails.
So I am throwing myself on the mercy of the DM here.
No, you're not. You're just doing creative stuff.
No mercy to the DM.
I have a plan otherwise.
There is no mercy.
Yeah, if this backfires, I do have an actual set plan.
But I would like to grab the Ethereal Tiangong
and with my two spell slots
channel the kind of everything
that Nova has learned from her Tiangong
memories, like emotion, everything
the death, everything
into the blade.
She doesn't know what will happen,
but put it this way, she's gonna die.
And this is her emotional move, basically.
What, you're gonna die?
I would like you.
She's not on her hit points.
I would like you, Nova Vija,
like you i would like you nova vija to roll a d20 plus your charisma okay because this is a game where cool things can happen and i will tell you this i'll tell you this before you roll kim
a cool thing will happen regardless of what you will the extent of the thing's success will depend
on the role but a cool thing will happen regardless.
Okay.
That one's primed.
Stop saying that.
Shall I use yours, Tom?
You picked it up.
It's not on me.
I'm also going to be making a charisma roll.
Same D20, plus charisma.
So charisma is plus five for me.
Okay.
No.
I rolled a four, so it's nine.
Okay, it was primed.
What? This is what happens.
You grab the blade.
And it is a theory, but kind of like the echoed manifestations,
there is a physicality to it.
It is a creature of sorts.
You grab the blade and you feel this kind of searing pain.
And you begin to channel all of these emotions
and memories as much as you can forcing that magic you are going to spend both spell slots
for this two things are going to happen firstly the sword is going to force itself to like it's
defending itself uh and it's going to try and attack you however for the first time, 20? It will hit. I will channel Tomb of the Vistas,
which will freeze it in place with me.
Sword in the stone.
So, well, Tomb of the Vistas, you still need to set the damage.
So 14 slashing.
If you are the stone.
So 17 damage to the Tomb of the Vistas.
And as it strikes you, and you're still holding onto it,
you summon this Block of Ice,
encasing you both in the Block of Ice.
You, Nova Veedra, are now locked into a contest of wills
with the remaining half of Tiangong.
You are trying to pour the memories, the knowledge,
the personality of your Tiangong
back into this one. And you can
feel that magic beginning to kind of be pulled
from you.
This is, I will tell you now,
you have one failure in this
process, because you rolled lower
than they did. I'm really not good
on rolls right now. Whilst you are locked
into this contest,
the manifestation of Tiangong
will not be able to make any further attacks.
Calus will not be able to resummon.
He can still fight with a physical sword,
but he's not gonna gain the benefits of manifestating it.
And we'll also lock him out
of maybe some of his other abilities, which you don't know.
But you are now locked into this contest of wills.
I will also tell you, because I think it's important that you know the stakes,
if you succeed at this test,
you will implant a sort of memory,
a kind of personality,
a fragment of your Tiangong's personality
back into this one.
What happens then?
Nobody knows.
If you succeed.
And I'll say it's gonna to be the best of three,
so the next roll is going to really depend on it.
Okay.
All right?
Okay.
That's really cool.
Quill.
Um, all right.
I am going to Shocking Graph.
I'm going to say shit.
Shit my pants. I am going to poop. Grasp. I'm going to say shit. Shit my pants.
I am going to do poop.
Poopy.
Coach, it's full of poopy.
A Sacred Flame, not Sacred Flame,
Shocking Grasp on him,
which I need to do.
He is wearing heavy metal armor.
You have advantage on the roll, I believe.
It is lightning,
but I mainly want it to stop him
from taking reactions.
Natural 20.
I mean, it's a crit, baby. How much damage are we talking here?
That's a 48.
So what? That's 8, 16, 32 plus another 48.
Oh my god.
It will be halved because it's lightning damage,
but it will also prevent him from taking reactions.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That is a...
Oh my god.
Not masquerade. 13 on the dice. Tell me the full total with the max. Yeah, that is a, oh my god. Not, that's great.
13 on the dice.
Tell me the full title with the max.
49, right?
That one's gone back in the bag.
36 plus.
49, yeah.
49, half that to 24.
24.
You watch as the lightning kind of courses
through the armor and you almost begin to see
maybe the magitek underneath the armor.
Like there's little purple sparks,
like you've maybe interrupted the flow of power or something like that.
And he does kind of like, ah, kind of like lets out a grunt.
And there's a brief moment where his body's like spasming
as you reach out and grab the armor and send the bolts of lightning.
He cannot take reactions until, what is it, the end of his next turn?
The start of his next turn um
yep it's becoming a crossing did you get that one
yeah start of its next turn which is like now okay um but it will be going next year yeah i want to um fly okay away and again around the back well actually i'm want to fly away and again around the back.
Well, actually, I'm going to fly sort of just south a few.
My south, our south, cardinal south.
So 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 you can get to sort of.
Yeah, because now if he tries to get to me, unless he teleports,
he has to go through all of them.
Again, just like 10, 15 feet, we'll say.
15 feet up?
Yeah.
And as a bonus action, I'm going to give myself the shield.
Shield of faith.
Okay.
Yeah, it's not incredible, but Shield of Faith.
End of turn?
End of turn.
At the end of your turn,
I'm going to use the last remaining points for his legendary action.
Seeing you kind of escape,
he's like,
not so fast, Keelik.
And he pulls out a little sphere, throws it,
and as it detonates in a 20-foot radius sphere nearest you,
I'm going to place it so it
will hit you and century i believe and i'll place it here uh 10 15 and place it like actually one
back 20 yep so catch century lucius and quill as a gravity sinkhole uh i need everybody to make
a constitution saving throw please but again with advantage uh it is a
magical effect centuries hold it
remember natural 20s aren't autosuccesses yeah they are
yeah plus three uh successful save is half damage and other effects. So what are we talking about? Ah!
Ooh!
All right, what are we talking?
Was it Constitution?
Constitution?
27.
27 is success.
31.
Success.
Jesus, I got 24.
Success, half damage to everybody,
and you are not pulled towards the center.
We take none.
Circle of power.
No, Dari.
Sentry!
I will show off the 5d10 I was about to roll.
Ow.
So you watch as this thing, he throws it out.
It detonates.
There's this like a tiny pinpoint piece of like black energy.
And it does that implosion, like movie implosion thing.
But Sentry, I mean, how does this look because this is the this
is the power of the matrix stopping this because it isn't just like they only take half damage
like you negate this entire effect somehow what does this look like i imagine it's like the like
centuries matrix is already glowing with this golden light and as this dark energy tries to
reach towards quill and lucius like it almost like the Matrix energy kind of almost like overtakes it,
like over...
Like rushes past it and like catches it.
Catches it and then brings it in.
Oh, amazing.
So yeah, and then it just dissipates,
like kind of like breaks away.
And you see Calus is like,
almost like he didn't know that you could do that
and was just like, yeah.
And you begin to see for the first time,
like, okay, yeah.
All right, fair enough. That was at the first time, like, okay, yeah.
Right, fair enough.
That was at the end of your turn, Quill.
Oh, yeah, now he takes his turn. At the start of his turn.
I'm actually going to do something here.
He's going to turn around.
I think he shouldn't do something.
He is.
He's going to look, and he's going to go like,
very well, you have proven that you are stronger than I first expected
and you have powers far greater than I knew.
Very well.
Tassadar, disengage restraints.
And you watch as the armor begins to...
I knew he'd get naked.
Yes!
Doesn't get naked, but a slimmer,
the kind of more skin-type black armor
that you've seen him in before
with like patches of magitek as the armor breaks away,
and he kind of cranes his neck,
and there's no physical injuries to him at all at this point,
but he just kind of cranes his neck,
and he kind of spins the sword around a few times
as I'm gonna activate his second form mythic actions,
as removed restraints has been activated.
Brooklyn! Second helper.
And you watch as the armor hits the ground, it like kicks up dust. Yes! as removed restraints has been activated. Broccoli! Second helper.
As the armor hits the ground, it kicks up dust.
Yes!
This stuff must have weighed tons.
Oh my god.
Like it's like.
And then from the smoke, he's just like.
And he's gonna take his actions.
Oh great.
He gets on one knee and it goes.
Is he sweating?
Marry me.
He must be sweaty under that.
No, no, not even close. Barely works on sweat. Damn, that's cool. I'm He must be sweaty under that No
No
No
I'm imagining he's sweaty
Is the armour too heavy for Quill?
You're on D6
Break your wing
Put it on me
A four
Thanks for the recharge
I got you
Hang on
I'll always have your back
Starbane
He's actually
You know what, Sentry?
Yeah He's going to turn his attacks on you back, Starbane. He's actually, you know what, Sentry? Yeah?
He's going to turn his attacks on you.
Yeah, do it.
He's going to stay where he is.
He's going to stay where he is for now.
And you know what?
He's kind of like, yeah, let's go.
Let's tango.
Let's tango.
Let's tango.
Why not a Fanta?
I can't do that.
Oh, Lilt's gone.
Lilt is no longer a thing anymore.
What?
Yeah, Lilt's gone, though. Lilt's gone. So you hear that? Lilt is no longer a thing anymore. What?
Yeah, Lilt's gone, though.
What?
Lilt's gone.
What is that?
It was bought by Fanta.
I know the Lilt discussion is very important, but you might want to see it.
So before he starts his attacks, though, he...
So far he's been kind of fighting normally.
You see him now, he raises the sword into this high guard position, and then he makes
his attacks.
All right.
I'm a chip, I know what I'm doing with this.
Is that because he couldn't lift it so high
with all the heavy armor on before,
so he's now making him for it?
No, it's like now he's gone serious.
Oh.
Right now he's in play. He ain't playing no more.
Sentry, first attack.
Yeah, he was so chill.
26.
That hits.
I'm really scared to make this next roll.
Just don't.
Just say, I'm never making this roll.
Eros ends now.
Well, if you could just kill him before it gets to me.
You could just hold your action.
24 slashing nine force. Forever.
I stay in the tomb.
38 total.
Oh, a con save for Circle of Power.
Circle of Power.
That's a nat one, so.
Breaks the enchantment away from you.
That was saving our asses.
Second attack, 24 to hit.
Yep.
I'm real scared, Tom.
Terrible damage this time.
16. 19 points of damage total.
Unless you have any Force Resistance, which you don't.
I don't.
After two attacks, can you make a charisma saving throw for me, please, Century?
Man, these rolls are hot garbage.
18.
18.
So as Tiangong actually know,
Tiangong is currently locked in a-
Oh!
He does not get to use his warp ability
and teleport you after two successful strikes.
Oh, cool, cool, cool.
So he will just attack Sentry more.
Sorry. 22 to hit Sentry. Ah, cool, cool, cool. So he will just attack Sentry more. Sorry.
22 to hit Sentry.
Yep, just hits.
That is gonna be 16, 18 slashing, and four fours, 22.
22.
And then, you know what?
Just gonna get one more attack in on Sentry, why not?
Why not for a bit of fun?
31.
31, That hits.
Four. Oh, fuck, I forgot about these guys.
Nine, 21.
31 points of damage. 31, cool.
I forgot, when he activated his remove restraints,
there is a brief shimmer in the field around him
as two drones appear.
Oh, hello. Oh.
Oh, they're cute. Oh, they're cute.
Oh, they are sweet.
I like them.
They kind of like teleport in, basically,
kind of like appearing from his shoulders,
like the shoulder pads of the armor break away
and then float up.
Functional armor.
They look very cool.
Are they drone shoulders?
They're from Warhammer.
It's from Warhammer, Tal Drones.
Have we seen drones like this before?
You have. I think, yeah, we have. right all the way back when we were under the lake on the Starship.
There was also Shansara had very similar drones.
Hers were built like cameras almost, but there is a similar design function to these.
So here's the cameras too. Every now and then he's kind of like, selfie.
One of the drones has a pivot-mounted Magitek cannon on it.
The other one seems to have some sort of generator device
with a crystal inside of it.
And it's generating a feel.
I really want to see an image of an Instagram post by Starbane
just holding up Choking Quill,
like, just take it on the Storm Chasers?
Somebody will now draw that.
Just murder things.
Quill's neck in one hand, just peace.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Just Valkyrian things.
Hashtag just Valkyrian.
Hashtag killing four times, didn't I?
Yes.
I forgot to add some extra damage to those
because he's currently the way he's currently stanced.
Cool, cool, cool, cool.
Take another, it will be five extra damage per attack, so another 20 points of slashing damage.
Nice.
You can make insight checks to determine what these stances do.
This is not an arcana check, but on your turn, on your turn, sorry.
Anybody can make an insight check because this is more like a body language thing.
I would say anybody with fighting experience, I would say Ayla, Sentry, and maybe Nova as well
will have advantage on the insight check.
I'm busy.
All right, we then go to Ayla.
Okay.
I'll insight check that bitch.
Sure, yeah, make an insight.
You have advantage.
Might not be very good.
That was a net one.
That was a seven, so eight.
Eight.
I had no net one.
You can't really work it out.
The only thing I'll tell you is that when you attack him,
buh buh buh buh buh,
high ground stance,
you will deal some extra damage when you attack him.
I will tell you that.
Because he's kind of more vulnerable.
Oh, right, okay.
He looks like he's more vulnerable in his current form.
Go for his kidneys.
Go for his kidneys!
Okay, I will attack you with his kidneys.
Okay.
That was a two, so it won't hit.
Oh, never mind.
You never know.
17?
17 doesn't hit.
He will use his reaction to make a powerful strike against you though.
Sorry, it's no mercy.
19, I think misses.
Yes, it does actually.
So he goes like strike you with a punch, backhand.
27 to hit.
27 will hit.
19 hammer damage
5 lightning
so
I will tell you now
as the hammer strikes him now
no longer resistant to lightning
fuck yes
so it was 19
and then 7
and 5
19 and 5
so 24
and he takes a little bit extra as well
however Ayla you as you strike him in that high guard you get that clear cut 19 and 5. 19 and 5, so 24. And he takes a little bit extra as well.
However, Ayla, you, as you strike him in that high guard,
you get that clear cut on him, and he just kind of swipes you.
You do take 10 slashing damage.
Oh, okay.
But that would be half of you for 5, yeah.
Yeah, it's like he's open, but as soon as you go to strike him,
he gets a cut on your arm.
And it's just like a glancing cut, but it's still significant. De it's still significant deck saving three uh he does seem to be a bit quicker now 17 still a fail
still a fail you can see why this uh character stat block is so big now he's got multiple stances
yeah 21 lightning 21 points of lightning damage you kind of hear a grunt of pain as it strikes him.
End of turn?
Yes, I'm out of stuff.
At the end of his turn, he's going to use one of his mythic actions.
And you watch as he kind of plants himself on the ground.
And he seems to turn invisible.
Oh, wow.
Well, now he's invisible.
Seems to.
He disappears.
He seems to...
Well, we can't see him.
That would be my definition.
I've got true sight.
Okay.
What, just passively?
Oh, because of the stuff.
You still don't see him, Lucius.
But I see truly.
You do.
What's truer than true sight?
All sight?
It's your turn, Lucius.
I will say you can make a perception check
on your turn for free.
I'd say that's a one.
You're glancing around
and you can see all these magical auras.
You can see trails.
You can see the contests.
And looking over towards Nova,
it's almost like behind Nova,
there is the shadowy image of Tiangong.
But behind the blade, there is another Tiangong,
and they're like caught sort of like wrestling
with each other.
You look at like all their friends and allies,
you see all their magical effects.
Looking around, like you should be able to see him.
Why can't you see him?
Yeah, why can't you see him?
All right, I'm gonna go for the things I can see.
And I'm going to...
I was just going to...
Yeah.
Third level, Chromatic Orb, Twinned.
It splits and hits both.
It's both drones.
Interesting.
Okay.
Make an attack against the one with...
I just need to check something here.
Oh, that's right.
I can't watch it.
I could shoot my nail off.
Uh, really?
Sorry.
The one with the kind of crystal hovering below it,
what level spell are you casting this as?
Third. Third?
About 15 feet away from that drone, it just...
But the one does hit the one with the gun 14 plus 13 29 29 more here
58 so that's 11 points all right did i specify the type no you have not yet acid please acid
points of damage uh 20 how much 12 12 points and then my dichromancy
12. 12 points of damage.
And then my Dicromancy is going to hit it again.
The one with the gun?
Yeah.
Okay. How much?
So that would be my Sorcerer level plus Charisma, right?
Because I'm a Prismatic Master, right? Sure, yeah.
So that's 24.
It's based on the level of the spell.
I don't know if it's...
Normally, Dicromancy is based on the level of the spell.
Oh.
Just call it what it is. Eight then. Dicromancy. Then I think you do get something from Prismatic Master. I can't know if it's, it's like, normally it's, Dicromancy is based on the level of the spell. Oh. Just call it what it is.
Eight then.
Dicromancy.
Then I think you do get something
from Prismatic Mastery, but I can't remember what.
It says Sorcerer level, I think.
So you just add your Sorcerer level to the,
so it would be third level plus your Sorcerer level.
23 then, or 22.
Yeah, you gotta tell me,
I can't remember those abilities, but yep.
You watch as the Streak of Acid kind of coats the drone.
Okey dokey.
Dumb?
Charisma modifier plus sorcerer level.
So yeah.
Damage is increased to my charisma order
for plus sorcerer level.
So that is 24.
Okay, all right.
Just straight up every time.
Straight up every time.
Okay, that's really broken.
I don't know why I worded it that way.
It should be basically, I think my intention was like,
you get a bonus to the normal Micromancy.
I need to look into that because, yeah,
otherwise you can just cast a first level spell
and be like, 24 damage for free,
which is good, but it's a bit much.
All right, end of turn.
You ruined it.
It's what's happening.
End of turn.
Aayla and Sentry.
Hello.
You do feel something move past you.
You make an attack opportunity with disadvantage.
Yes, please.
As a flickering image, like, for a brief second, Lucius,
Calus appears in front of you and slices.
Um, 21.
21 does not hit.
I got a nat 20, but it was at disadvantage.
Yeah, 18.
18 does not hit.
You both go to strike, but this thing's moving too quickly almost.
And Lucius, that's gonna be a 24.
That might tickle.
Nine, 21.
You don't have any resistance to force, do you?
No.
21, 29, 34.
Yes, I do.
Prismatic mastery.
Very good to know.
So that'll be 21, 25, 30 points of damage total.
And Calus does appear briefly.
As he strikes you, he seems to almost...
He stops, he swipes, and then he disappears again.
Okay.
He's zooming.
He's got the zoomies.
He's excited.
Sentry. I would like to summon Celestial, please, at level five.
What?
Okay.
Is this the one where you have to pick a Celestial with a CR, or is this the one where it gives
you a stat block?
It gives you a stat block.
Thank God.
All right.
Yeah.
What do you want?
Can I just use a Pegasus for now?
Yeah.
All right.
What do you want, this bad boy? Paladins. I would like, what do you want? Can I just use a Pegasus for now?
Yeah.
All right.
What do you want this bad boy?
Paladins.
I would like to silver open these.
Quill?
Yeah.
And this is gonna be a Defender Celestial.
Okay.
So it takes its turn immediately after I do.
It does, yeah.
Yeah, and I've got, like, stats.
That was your action.
Do you have any move or bonus action you want to do?
I'd like to...
I'd also say it's a free action if you want to try and perceive
or figure out what's going on with the stats.
Yeah, I will try and figure out where he's gone.
Sure.
Perception.
Perception.
Nat 20, you two.
Sentry.
Because you knew, like, Lucius is looking around like you can't see him,
and you know that, you know, Lucius, when he has this prismatic effect,
he can see through invisibility, you guys know each other's powers.
So you think and you focus and you're like, he's not magically invisible.
He's moving so fast your eyes can't keep up with it.
He's just able to move.
And it looks like the Magitek is enhancing his speed.
He has got some sort of magical bonus to his speed,
but it's not magical invisibility.
He's just moving so quick.
He's only appearing when he stops to attack.
Cool.
But because you succeeded, you can treat him as being visible.
And he is basically...
Oh, so I know where he is.
Yeah, he's moved on.
He's basically in the process of running back.
Okay.
So for you, you count him as being visible
because you can actually actually predict where he's
going to be based on that.
All right, I'm going to move close to him then and let the team know that that's
where he is.
Like, he's next to me.
Yep.
Yep.
Everybody would still have disadvantage to attack him because he's still invisible to
them, but because you've told them where he is, they can target that space.
Cool.
All right?
Yep. Great. Great stuff. And then Celestial goes. Celestial. them where he is they can target that space all right yep great great stuff and then celestial goes celestial so i'm going to do my celestial um i think it it looks it looks like herald
basically nice yeah that's dope yeah um so i'm going to kind of golden guardian with the wings
and like a big shield maybe or something yeah dope um i'm going to use it to give quill 1d10 temporary hit points okay is that the action for
it that is it's action yeah okay that's two oh that's just two two temporary hit points uh okay
um it's got a healing touch ability as well that it can do but is that just i guess that's just
you get to kick on it uh yeah hang on get to pick an action uh yeah yeah i've got
multi-attack and then i'm also looking at it for reasons uh well brady and mace is when you make
an attack you can then target creatures so you can't do that unless you attack something
unfortunately so you could just use the healing touches all right i'll use the healing touch then
instead yeah so you don't get the two temporary hit points yeah because it's only when you attack
you can then give somebody hit points i did wonder that was like for an action two times that's yeah that's crazy so i'll give you um yeah 2d8 plus so that's the spell right no 16 16 hp
nice 16 so yeah cool nice you've just doubled his hit points you've just doubled my hit points nice
his hit points you've just doubled my head points nice okay uh after your uh angel goes your your
celestial the attack drone will now go uh it is going to uh that's the defense drone the attack drone will make two attacks uh first things actually because ayla you are within i'm right
next to it uh you are right next to it. Can you make a strength saving throw for me, please?
Well, I rolled a 19 plus 30.
A lot.
So you are pushed five feet back, but no other effects,
as this thing seems to emit an aura of its own.
Fly right over here.
And then, looking at this, it's going to fire one attack towards Quill
and one towards you, Ayla.
And it fires two different kind of coloured beams.
Quill, that's a 20 to hit.
Yeah. colored beams quill there's a 20 to hit yeah i'll shield it because i've got uh shield faith as well
so i can surpass it okay yeah i'll shield it all right so you conjure the shield this this this
kind of beam of force kind of bounces away uh not striking you fully uh ala that is going to be a
kind of bounces away, not striking you fully. Ayla, that is gonna be a 23 to hit.
This is only gonna be six points of force damage.
However, it fires it kind of like this tethering-like beam
and you are restrained.
It is an action to break free, strength check to break free
as it tethers you to the ground.
Buzhuang.
Buzhuang. No, Vija.. Buzhuom. Buzhuom.
No, Veja. Sad Buzhuom.
Come to you.
I'm real scared to make this roll.
You've got this.
Big Nat 20, here we come.
Is it a saving throw?
It is a Charisma ability check.
D20 plus Charisma.
But portent will affect it.
Yeah.
But portent will affect it. Yeah.
What portents do you have available?
Sorry, so if it was in a savings
or I could have done something else.
I will give you a 19.
Plus five is 24.
You watch.
How does this look?
Because Porten is normally like seeing the future in some way,
but right now Nova can't really be reached.
She's trapped in this block of ice.
She's engaged in this mental battle.
But what does it look like?
How does Quill represent this Porten role?
I had a visual in my head of how it would look
if I did the other thing,
and it was to use Elder Quill to auto-succeed it.
But I don't know how I can…
I mean, we could still have Elder Quill reach out,
like fly towards her and sort of reach her through,
because he's spectral.
He could probably reach through the ice and a stone or something.
Elder Quill basically just flies up and places a hand on top of Nova's hand,
which is on Tiangong, and just magically assists.
Is it a mechanical wing hand as well?
Yeah, and it would be this kind of feeling of, like, Nova feels this surge of confidence.
Like, you know that your allies are with you.
No matter what happens, they're here.
And no matter what happens next, they'll be there for you.
And it gives you that surge of confidence to come through.
And you feel what was once tipping over.
You can feel other Tiangongs, Khaleesi's Tiangong mind overpowering your memories and your magic.
And now it swings back the other way as you tighten your eyes and you focus, pouring some of the more, maybe the darker moments, but also more of the more emotional moments.
Like that feeling of terror as you stood on the precipice of Vorten Sarr and Tiangong came beside you.
And all of these little moments, right, of like these deeper kind of like more heartbreaking memories.
And it kind of keeps everything back, you know, in the. Still locked in this contest, but now it is even.
And the next roll.
Oh god!
Yeah, I said it was best of three.
Best of three.
But locked in, it is currently locked down.
In terms of just pure mechanics, the Tomb of Vistas would have broken by now.
Okay, so now you watch Nova is no longer covered in ice,
but he's just stood there holding this blade, eyes shut,
and the blade is rod still, just holding it,
and they're locked in place,
almost like they've been frozen in time.
Quill.
And this is going to be our last one for today's session.
I want to fly basically in a position where those two drones are in a line.
There is a little bit of cover from this one.
And I will cast...
If he's flying, would it cover?
Oh, that's true.
Yeah, if he's flying, the cover won't apply.
Good call.
Am I?
You can be.
Yeah, you are.
No, I'm looking at spells again.
I thought I could.
Yeah, I will.
I'll cast Sunbeam.
Fade.
At what level?
This is at 7th level.
Nice.
In that case, what do I have to do for both drones?
For both drones, they have to make Constitution saving throws, and they have to do for both drones for both drones they have to make constitution saving
throws and they have to be 22. they both fail cool they take 68 damage both should i roll
individually or uh roll it once and i'll do it to both they don't they have the same resistances
30 to both of them 30 points of damage and. And I'm concentrating on that. You watch as the attack drone,
the one with the gun, is looking pretty beaten up.
Like you can see scorch marks.
It's still capable of, it's still in flight,
it's still activated, but you can see like that sunbeam
like tears like part of its front armor off.
The other drone, there is a moment
where the sunbeam almost stops.
Like it kind of blocks it as if by shield,
but then the powerful magic kind of penetrates through
and like burns through them both.
But yeah, does strike true.
Sweet.
And I mean, I know Elder Quill is assisting Nova,
but I'd like to think that Elder Quill
is kind of saying these small phrases to Nova
to spark up memories like Bortensar, airship, Rosehall, Kali's Rest,
all these different things to just bring up new memories for Nova.
Just being well-activated.
17, firetruck.
Since the beginning of this turn, you cast a spell,
because you cast Conjurer of Selector.
You cast a spell, didn't you?
Uh-huh, yeah.
Did you cast a spell this turn?
Razorgore.
Before the sunbeam goes off, I have to check
because the defense drone seems to flicker as you cast that spell
as it begins you detecting it.
It's going to try and cancel.
It doesn't cancel.
Oh, okay.
It tries to count spell it and it does not.
On that drone's turn, however,
it is going to attempt to dispel the Sunbeam.
Um...
It is an active ongoing spell, and it casts at 7th level, so the DC would be 17.
I'm going to make it roll a 6.
Okay. It fails.
I am sick of my concentrations going away.
So you kind of imagine you see this thing projecting this kind of dispelling force,
and for a moment you just let the sunbeam go drop,
and then the dispelling kind of shot flies overhead,
and then the sunbeam continues on.
And that, my friends, is going to bring us to the top of a brand new round,
and that's where we're going to have to call it today,
because we're already over time.
The duel continues.
The battle.
The duel of the fates.
It's the fates of a rowan do you get it
yeah I get it
it's the two fates
you got it
copyright strike
that's why I'm going to stop
I'm going to stop there
but thank you guys
so much for joining us

we will be back soon
we love you, take care.
Bye bye.
