Hello, welcome back to part two.
Our champions are still engaged in their climactic battle against Calus Valkyrian.
Having fought initially in his heavily armored state,
seemingly their attacks not really doing much to phase the Astral Emperor.
They have now reached it.
They've caused him to take off his heavier armor, increase
his speed, and now
they've managed to inflict some actual
wounds, and the Emperor is beginning
to look a bit more pressed in his
battle against them. Having just
unfortunately
countered a powerful spell by
Lucius, his two
aiding drones still
in the field, one badly damaged at this point.
It begins at the top of the round with Kalos himself.
Aayla still paralyzed.
Quill still down.
Sentry.
Yes, we still have Aayla paralyzed.
Quill is down, down still.
Sentry is up and has got some good hit points left.
Nova having dealt significantly many attacks against me.
First thing Calus is going to do
is he's going to drop his high guard stance
and instead bring the sword down low
into a low hunch stance.

He's going to use up all of his energy to do it as he summons a barrier of blades.
Magitek Spectral Blades form a circular ring all around.
You can see kind of basically cutting off the Echo Lucius and Aayla.
You can pass through, you can see through it,
but it is basically like a wall of swords and blades and axes
and howl birds and all sorts of weapons uh as he
just kind of focuses and then throws out what appeared to be like almost like uh knives like
he throws them out and then they expand out into these blades that then just a whirlwind of of
weapons yep um blender and then he's just gonna make normal attacks because it's all around us
right there's not blades in the radius.
No, it is a wall, almost like a wall of fiber.

Now, in theory, I was gonna place it
so it was constantly hitting Aayla.

points of damage because i hit him with spiritoud, he can't regain any hit points
until the start of my next turn.
And he has his speed reduced by 10 feet
until the start of my next turn.

So we watch a Sentry pulls back Starbreaker
and slams this effect into him,
slams Spirit into him
with a surge of Guardians rushing forward,
almost like holding him down, right?
Because of the spirit shroud, they're kind of slowing him
down, preventing, absorbing
the energy from any sort of healing
as they're kind of pressing down on him
as he just takes this
massive blow to the chest, and you see that
most of that armor is now cracked and broken.
Still on there, but heavily
damaged. And the blade barrier does
go. Nice.
I physically don't want to muck remove it,
so we're just going to pretend it's not there from the map.
But yeah, you watch as the Blade Barrier dissipates sentry.
Cool. Awesome.
End of turn.
Yeah, my turn. I'm going to stay close to Lucius.
He's going to turn around and whack you with his last legendary action then.

Because you hit him pretty hard.

So you watch as he's holding his side,

but wielding the same sword as you do,
who strikes into Calus twice, almost catching him off guard
as he's confused by this sudden new appearance.
And you watch as those two strikes cut deep into him.
You almost plunge the blade into his side like you did Aayla.
And he's now like...
You can see blood dripping down his side.
He's looking pretty rough.
Unleashing Carnation, my last one.

So as the incarnate, he like stumbles,
like looks kind of confused for a moment,, puzzled, and then quick as lightning,
with this burst of lightning, Harmony dashes past and swipes and cuts into Calus, and you
see the last bits of his armor breaking away as he stumbles and he collapses down, holding
his breath. I'm guessing, was that lethal damage, or were you trying to do non-lethal
damage? Um.

we can do that and escape, we can leave him locked in there, powerless.

She wanted to go there with Father and do the same thing,
create a pocket realm and have him fight Hadar as a mortal.

powerful with all the divine souls and the divine energy it's consumed

a bubble within the ocean of the Far Realm,
an air bubble almost, a bubble of magic,
