See kraken.com slash legal slash ca dash pru dash disclaimer for info on Kraken's undertaking to register in Canada. Hey, I'm ready to do...
I was about to do it and then you said that.
Oh, sorry.
Go ahead.
Okay.
Now would be a good time to...
Son of a bitch.
I don't know what it is when we don't do normal...
Anyway.
Last time on Aroas,
our champions are on their way to the plane of Entropis
that sits at the edge of the Astral Void.
Here on Entropis is where they will find the breach point
into the Far Realm to finally confront Hadar, the Red Star,
the Endless Hunger.
In doing so, they have allied themselves
with Calus of Valkyrian
and many of their friends from Erois.
But one obstacle stands in their way.
To reach Entropis, the champions and their allies
must fight through an enormous fleet
of Hadar's corrupted astral ships
and strange, aberrant creatures that orbit the world.
One of them in particular, the Fenrir,
a Ragnarok-class astral warship
built by giants centuries ago is a powerhouse that threatens all of the Valkyrian fleet.
To destroy it, a mission has been planned.
The Stormchaser would fly in close, send over a small infiltration team to disable the Fenrir's barriers, arcane wards,
to allow Thalia and the twin star longbow
to fly inside it and to destroy it from the inside. To do this, the party have split into two teams.
We have Nova, Aayla, Hope, Scout, and Norfear on the infiltration team heading into the Fenrir
itself, while the rest of the party are on the storm chaser defending it and their allies from
horrible creatures and defenses around the Fenrir. After a desperate piloting scenario
getting the storm chaser close enough the infiltration team attempted to jump over
with Nova nearly being separated from the rest of the team, but quickly recovering to the best of their ability and heading inside.
Meanwhile, the Storm Chasers have been fending off an Astral Dreadnought,
which is attacking the Storm Chaser,
whilst an Astral Kraken is currently being distracted by the Goddess Siaska.
We're going to jump in.
And I think I said last time that we were going to start back up with the Infiltration team
because I was going to alternate between the two. i said last time that we were going to start back up with the infiltration team because i was going to alternate between the two sure but before that happens
those of you on the storm chaser as you are fending off this astral dreadnought and you can
see that some of your npc allies have already been injured the shields around the storm chaser
are beginning to crumble and this astral dreadnought is posing a greater greater threat although it is being damaged and injured at this point there comes a terrifying sort of roar that seems to reverberate through astral space
as you see a sudden flash of movement to the side of the storm chaser and then you watch as siaska
herself is knocked back uh by a colossal sort of dark blue skinskinned tentacle from this astral kraken.
The goddess does not seem to be too injured,
but being separated gives her a moment to realize
how desperate the scenario is becoming elsewhere.
As many of the Valkyrian ships are being destroyed by the Fenrir's guns,
Siasco will unfortunately turn and sending a message to you all
on the Stormchaser telepathically.
Stormchasers, I cannot keep that beast held down for long. I must go and help the others. and sending a message to you all on the storm chaser telepathically storm chasers i cannot
keep that beast held down for long i must go and help the others i've done what i can but i need
to go and help them i will return as soon as i am able and you watch as in a flash of starlight
she flies away leaving the astral kraken to turn its giant red glowing eye towards the storm chaser
oh boy with the astral dreadnought on one side you watch
as this thing kind of almost uses the fenrir to pull itself over and it is even bigger than
the astral dreadnought itself and it looks far more dangerous and it's we're small we're tiny
right the storm chaser is the storm Chaser is of a decent size,
but these would be about...
They are bigger than the Storm Chaser.
You yourselves, like, I mean, these are gargantuan creatures.
They are enormous.
We're just in a weird, gross eyeball and mouth sandwich right now.
Yes, it is looking pretty desperate.
And you see that some of your allies,
like with this threat,
like Danica is clutching a side somewhat injured.
The threat of the Astral Dreadnought is one thing.
You also still have the Fenrir.
The guns of the Fenrir are still blasting at ships
and some of those stray shots are like streaking past
and hitting the Storm Chaser as well.
You are in a desperate scenario.
Anti-magic as well.
Oh boy. Oh yeah, where is the anti-magic as well. Oh, boy.
Oh, yeah.
Where is the anti-magic?
Is that across the ship or?
It's on the front gun right now.
Oh, right.
Yeah.
It's kind of not like an anti-magic cone,
but the actual dreadnought seems to have some ability
to shut down certain parts of the air.
I think I have sound on.
Yes.
So before we jump over to the infiltration team,
storm chaser team,
what do you guys
is there any reaction
is there anything
you would like to do
in this new threat
I will be throwing
in the astral kraken
into the initiative order
so for the next round
that will be going on
but I will give you guys
like let's say
there's like a few moments
maybe an actions worth of time
if there's anything
you would like to do
call anything out to the allies
or do anything
what do you guys reckon call out to a riot start doing some evasive maneuvers so that
we can at least focus on one of them because we have uh the dreadnought is literally right on the
ship basically right it's like cracking is like gonna have to move up but it is easily within
reach of the storm chaser one if we the Dreadnought away from the Kraken
at least for a round or two, focus on that.
Yeah.
And maybe keep Oriah, keep that Kraken at bay.
Sounds like a good idea, yeah.
So the anti-magic doesn't affect it as much.
So yeah, I'll shout to Oriah,
evasive maneuvers, let's get away from the Kraken
and separate the two.
All right, all right, Captain, I'll do my best.
And yeah, she'll begin making those preparations i'll factor that into uh the new
realm when we play the storm chase will go first and we'll have some checks made for that um
cool is there anything you would like to do i suppose so yeah i think i might oh i might do
um hey oh so they're now separated right and we're basically like yes i mean they're i mean
well let's use the term separated loosely.
The Astral Dreadnought is engaged with the Storm Chaser.
The Kraken is still somewhat at a distance,
but it is going to very quickly be able to join the fight.
It's pretty big. It could join very fast.
Okay. All right.
And you do also still have the threat of the Fenrir itself.
I'm going to wield my spear.
Okay. Javelin style.
Because I want to yart this thing.
I want to get this yorted, right?
I want it yorted towards all of the…
Wait, you're throwing away your staff of Hesper?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, a Spear of Oracles.
The one that also contains Elder Quill.
And he's stood next to me right now.
He's like... He's just yeeting it at the dragon.
He's helping you.
He's nodding.
He's serious.
Yeah.
Towards the one that is not on the ship right now, basically.
Crack it, crack it.
And I want to call for Yohandrius,
the dragon from the Valley of Storms.
So, I hope this is how it activates.
Yohandrius!
I don't know what to do.
So if I recall, Tom, I told you that there was a charge
and that this might not be a rechargeable ability.
This is a one-er and a done-er, potentially.
Oh, is this the hidden ability on your thingy?
On my Spear of Oracles.
Let me describe what happens.
You watch as Quill pulls back his wing
and he throws the Spear of Oracles like a javelin.
And as it careens through astral space,
it kind of launches off of the ship.
And you watch as soon as the spear kind of hits the outside atmosphere it does begin to build up
with almost with frost as it begins flying through the air you know propelled
by the momentum that Quill initially gave it but that ice then begins to
break apart and almost become like a bluish mist of white frost as lightning begins to crackle all along
the half of the spear, and then as the ice breaks,
it begins to take a shape, and it begins to grow
and grow and grow until it takes the form
of a huge blue and white dragon made of tempest
and storm and lightning.
Shit.
And I'd like to have Yohandrius join us at the table.
Oh, yeah!
Hello, everyone!
Hello.
Yes, sir!
Hi.
Welcome back.
I was just, you know, walking through Bristol
and I was like, I better pop in here.
I heard something.
Yohandrius!
You're in trouble!
Yeah, I just felt like a weird sense
I should come here today.
Yes, welcome back. I only feel like I weird sense. I should come here today. Yes, welcome back.
I only feel like I have seats.
This is the Undone Thread.
Yeah.
Those of you, if you're not familiar,
Rav's played Johan, who was a guest character,
who turned out to be Johandris,
a tempest dragon in disguise seeking Quill's help.
Couldn't have summoned me to a tea party or anything.
Had to be space crack.
No, no, no, Astral Space.
Just for the battle of the time.
Astral Space, okay.
I don't know if you heard, but Astral Kraken,
Astral Dreadnought, Fenrir,
which is a Giga-class mega ship, I think is the-
Ragnarok.
Getting the giga, yeah.
It's bad news.
It's bad, actually, it's bad.
It's like, you've just been willingly summoned
out of nothing.
How does your hand just know what the hell is going on?
What?
Well, I will say this.
Yohandrius willingly put themselves in,
they kind of put an essence of themselves,
a spirit of themselves in the Spirit of Oracles,
and did tell Quill that when needed to call for them.
This was something that only Quill knew.
But Yohandrius knows where he is, right?
Yes.
You have been somewhat aware of everything
that has been happening so far.
Maybe not the details,
so if you ever need details, you can ask Ravs.
But generally, you are aware of what's been going on.
You also know the stakes.
Like, this is the point, the storm chasers,
the fate of Erois,
the fate of everything really is at stake here.
Hadar, if not defeated, This is the point, the storm chasers, the fate of Arois, the fate of everything really is at stake here.
Hadar, if not defeated,
Hadar will consume everything in the known reality.
Hadar's bad man.
Bad man.
Bad, bad man.
And this is basically the last effort.
The storm chasers are trying to reach this plain of Entropis,
but to do so, they have to fight through this massive fleet and specifically deal with this enormous astral ship.
So not a tea party?
No.
Okay.
It'd be nice.
Would it be nice?
I'm like on the deck of the ship.
I actually didn't think that was going to work.
But he's here.
Look at him.
Lucius is just like staring wide-eyed
at this big beastly train.
Spread my wings and be like,
oh, hello, old friends.
My voice is all like deeper and dragon-y now. Is that really you? my wings and be like, oh, hello, old friends.
My voice is all deeper and dragging now. Is that really you?
Yeah, doing post, yeah.
Good timing, help!
I didn't really have a say in the matter.
Get back in there!
Full reference, Johendras,
I've already rolled your initiative,
so I've set you up in the order,
but we are going to jump to the infiltration team.
So welcome, but now be quiet.
We are going to jump across to the infiltration team.
Sneaky boys!
So, to recap where the infiltration team were,
Nova, Aayla, Hope, our sort of unicorn centaur valley girl.
We also have Norfear, Lucius's former nanny,
turned out to be spy assassin lady.
She can go back to it.
Black Widow.
And Scout, who is a guardian sort of pathfinder and sneak.
You guys have made your way over to the Fenrir,
and I believe you climbed through sort of a gunport, basically.
Imagine like a big pirate ship or a big long Viking ship.
And so you've kind of clambered through,
passing through this kind of atmospheric shielding
and you defeated one of these kind of like undead,
almost like thrall giants.
Like they seem to be very weak,
but they are manning these kind of guns.
Don't seem to have like much in the way of mental faculty
or anything like that.
Almost like they're thralls or puppets being controlled. of guns not don't seem to have like much in the way of mental faculty or anything like that almost
like they're um thralls or puppets being controlled you currently stand in that gun chamber there is
a single sort of like door opening that leads out but you have not yet stepped further out into that
corridor or anything like that uh you have the team assembled um at this point i will say that
it's very easy like just like scout maybe
or norfair they will report that outside of this chamber is a long corridor right so you know that
there is a long corridor outside um what we're going to do is i need you to nova and ayla because
you are leading this team you need to tell me you need to decide whether the team is going to move
quickly quietly or cautiously.
And that's going to kind of set some of the skill challenges that they're going to use.
Sexily.
Sexily.
Okay.
So...
You're picking a focus.
Assume that, yes, you're doing all three, but there is, like, what are you focusing on?
Are you going to focus on trying to move quickly?
Are you going to focus on being as quiet and stealthy as possible or are you all are you going to focus on like making sure you're being
vigilant of any dangers and traps and things like that um what is the focus you would like for the
team i think initially at least initially quiet while we try and figure out where we need to go
all right okay yeah because right now you are just in you have no idea where you're going you've just
got a corridor outside can we get measures in place, like pass without a trace, invisibility, all that good stuff?
So Hope will cast pass without a trace on you.
No problem.
So you will have plus 10 to stealth rolls.
If you would like to cast invisibility, you absolutely can as well.
Okay.
I have the ability to cast it, but not on everybody.
I believe you can only do it on two people.
Myself and one other.
Yes.
Who would you like to cast invisibility upon?
I guess Aayla being the biggest out of us.
Well, Hope's probably bigger.
Both of you, I think.
Oh, so not including yourself
yeah because you
can do that right
yeah you can
choose two other
creatures
so I can touch
yeah I can do
Aayla and Hope
alright okay
in that case
I would like you
both to make
stealth checks
and I will make
them for the
NPCs
and this is
going to be a
round of
stealth checks
did we on the
storm chaser
did we communicate
to these guys
you cast telepathic bond on us Thalia Vala Did we, on the storm chaser, did we communicate to these guys?
You cast Telepathic Bond on us, Thalia, Vala, and Rain.
Okay.
So you probably heard like, what the hell is that?
Yeah, but I think unfortunately we can't deal with it right now.
No, I know, it's just, yeah.
We're busy.
Too much.
As long as you're aware of...
I will tell you that even with Pass Without a Trace
Hope got a 16
she is invisible
oh my god
does she have advantage
because she's invisible
yep
Norfear got 33
and Scout is at 28
25
25 for Nova
30
30 for Ayla
alright
yeah you guys
Hope unfortunately though she's technically invisible there is still 25 for Nova 30 for Ayla alright yeah you guys hope unfortunately
though she's technically invisible
there is still
a lot of noise
being made
as she makes her way down
she just can't help
there's a lot of
there is a lot of clopping
please don't
I know that there's
an alternative
I hear that word
I know
trust me I know
don't worry about it
I don't know that
so
quick google
don't seriously don't why. So. Quick Google.
Don't.
Seriously, don't.
Why is my iPad telling itself?
No, no, no, no.
So, you guys make your way out into a corridor.
So, can somebody, let's have Nova for this one.
Oh, no.
Can you roll a D100 for me, please?
D100.
I have tables.
Oh, dear.
26.
26.
No?
No.
Oh, is it 92?
No, it's 92.
So 92.
92.
Okay.
And can you roll another d100 for me, please?
There's only a... 36.
36. Okay. d100 for me please this is only a 36 36 okay you make your way out into this corridor and moving quietly the whole fenrir ship is dark there doesn't seem to be much interior lighting
so relying on your dark vision um scout maybe illuminates one of his eyes almost like a flashlight passing over sort of as they
sneak around where necessary and you find this corridor is in pretty bad shape there is a lot
of wreckage you can see that there was probably a great battle that was fought here a long long
time ago there are skeletons of giants you can see dead dead, still decomposing, strangely, carcasses of aberrant-like
creatures. There are bloodstains, like really dark red stains on the walls and the floor,
signs of battle everywhere you go. And the whole place is badly damaged. There's like broken pieces
of the ceiling. You can see crystalline uh kind of
like veins in the wall that almost seem like power conduits are broken and smashed and spark with
arcane power um as you begin making your way down um and it is pretty haunting like the level of
violence here this is this is pretty pretty uh dominating um for nova and ayla this probably wouldn't be
too much to deal with you've encountered scenes of this you are very stalwart heroes but your
three allies uh are going to need to make some checks so can for the can you guys roll four
these for me um can i get two uh three d20 rolls uh split however you like uh so we'll have maybe ayla do nor fear and hope and then
nova roll for scout seven for scout okay 15 15 uh let's say that's for hope
19 nor fear and hope are kind of dealing with it okay um but scout is you can see like begins to
kind of tremble and is looking very nervous about this whole scene.
Um,
and they are going to have basically disadvantage on ability checks whilst
they're kind of like dealing until they overcome this basically.
Um,
but you guys make your way through the corridor.
Um,
and you guys come across.
Do you like the scene in Metal Gear?
Yes.
That's exactly what I had in my head as well.
Um,
uh,
it moves to a T-junction, moving on either side.
You can go left or you can go right.
Can I telepathically communicate to Nova and say,
where do you think, like, is there anything that we can do
to try and get a better idea of where we need to go?
If there's some kind of console that I can look into and figure out some kind of map of this place, then maybe.
But right now, we're in a corridor.
Okay, so look for a console.
Yeah, um...
Or something in the walls.
I could maybe send Echo Tiangong ahead to scout,
but I'd be deaf and blind if we do that.
And they're not invisible.
You're invisible.
You're invisible.
You're invisible.
Yeah.
Could you go ahead and look?
Sure.
Do you want to go left or right?
Left.
Left? Okay.
Heading down towards the left, you sneak ahead,
kind of leaving the crew,
and Nova, you see that, like,
Scout keeps looking back to this horrible,
and it's this ongoing...
Hundreds must have died here, and it's gruesome,
and the fighting must have been brutal.
But Aayla, you make your way,
and you find a kind of room
split off from the corridor
that appears to be
maybe some sort of storage room.
You can kind of look in
and you can see these thick...
It's almost like it's made of wood,
but it's hard.
You can tell that it's stronger
and sturdier than wood,
engraved with these runic symbols.
You don't speak giant do you no
no so you can't read any of the writing it's all written in like a language you don't understand
um but it does appear to be some sort of storage room um and at the center there is some sort of
like dais uh some sort of like stone pillar or something it does look like some partial magitek
or magical in some nature there are runes there is a slight glow to it, like a faint blue hue, as you do.
But you also get the sense that something is moving around in here.
I will move back out of the room.
Okay.
And I will telepathically say to Nova,
I think there's something in this room, but there's also potentially something magical. And I will relay what I have room. Okay. And I will telepathically say to Nova, I think there's something in this room,
but there's also potentially something magical,
and I will relay what I have seen.
Sure.
Something magical?
I think so, but it's all, like, runes and stuff.
I can't read it.
Oh, you mean something in the room,
as in, like, the creature is magical, or...?
Well, there's something magical in the room,
and there's a creature in the room.
I don't know what the creature is.
Right, okay.
There's two things.
So maybe we need to take the creature out
and then I can use the magical thing to find magic.
I'm repeating myself a lot.
I'm nervous.
Can you read giant?
No.
But I can read common, draconic, elvish, and primordial.
That's not helpful right now.
No, it's not.
Nova, I don't know if you know this,
but you guys aren't talking.
You're just being silent and staring into nothing.
What's going on?
Aayla's found a room up to the left,
but there's something in it. Okay.
As in a creature.
Okay.
Do we fight it?
Do we leave it?
What do we do?
I think we're going to have to fight.
Okay.
Are there any other rooms in the corridor that I'm in?
You can go down the other way.
This kind of corridor led to a storage room
that was a path to the right as well.
Can I have a look to the right and check that out?
Let's see.
Yes, you can.
That would be...
Oh no!
Yes.
You actually find at the far end,
there appears to be,
on the right side of that corridor, this T-junction,
you have the storage room on one side,
to the other side, you find what appears to be
a kind of circular cylindrical chamber
that goes up and down.
And there is this kind of big wooden disc in the middle
and it has chains that go up and down either side of it.
It looks like a rudimentary kind of lift.
Okay.
There's a lift over here.
You want to go up or down?
I don't know.
We could try that.
Lift, or...
We need to get into some kind of console to see where we're going,
but if you don't want to find...
Did it look like...
It looked like a storage thing.
It didn't look like it was like a console thing.
It was a storage room with a kind of dais,
like a stone pillar with magic.
Is that part of the room?
Kind of, yeah.
But there's like...
And then there's crates and chests
all around the outside of it.
You want to have a look at it?
We can do it.
We just need to...
Or there is the other lift.
Team up, prepare to fight.
Potentially.
Ayla just knew that something was moving in the room.
Like, you could hear kind of like scraping and something shifting.
Maybe you saw like a shadow half glimmering.
You didn't get a good look at it because you just kind of backed out of the room.
But, you know, you just felt that there was something in there.
You tell me which way you want to go.
Can I see if I can...
You can stick your head back in.
Sure.
The thing is?
Yeah, we can make a perception check.
Perception check? Perception make a perception check Perception check
Perception
Perception
Perception check
Prosecco check
Prosecco check
Imagine
Not for you mommy
19
19
Looking in
You catch
The shape of something
And you can see That in the far corner,
kind of hidden behind some of these storage boxes,
appears to be a kind of large metal cage
that something has, the door is open to it.
And you can see that kind of prowling around in this space
is a sleek panther-like creature
with tentacles that end in like suckers.
But it seems to be, there's something different about it.
It doesn't seem to be something off about it.
Like, it's behaviour, it's not acting like a predatory beast.
Does it have any red on it?
It doesn't.
Maybe that's something that you kind of notice
is it seems
to, you can't see any
sort of red or
you don't see any of the typical signs of Hadar
influence. It has these tentacles, but they're almost
like appendages.
Have we ever seen a displacer beast in the campaign before?
Yeah, your characters have not seen a displacer beast.
We haven't, have we?
Okay, I'll explain it to Nova then.
Okay.
Nova may have seen it in a book, but, you know.
Sure.
You can make an arcana check for me.
Arcana, yeah?
Sure.
Okay, let's go.
I can try and make friends with the cat.
25.
25.
You've definitely read about displacer beasts.
They are creatures
that probably would have been
something that Ganassi
researched as being more
from astral environments.
They're not really on Erois,
but there are records of them
and stuff from before times.
I mean, they can be
hostile creatures,
but there are also cultures
where they were kept as pets.
I will relay all of that.
Okay, displaced.
Should I try and make friends with it?
You could do.
Are you relaying any of this to your NPCs?
I will say, like, yeah,
there's a displacer beast in this room where Aayla is.
What's a displacer beast?
I will give the scientific...
It's a big kitty!
I wanna make friends with it!
It's like, we should probably,
I mean, I can strike at it from the shadow,
we can ambush it.
Ayla, let me see if I can like, I don't know.
I'm gonna.
We could make friends, Ayla, wait, let us get into place,
you try and make friends, it doesn't work,
we can strike from the shadows. Okay, but I am invisible. But my question is, are you going into place. You try and make friends. It doesn't work. We can strike from the shadows.
Okay, but I am invisible.
But my question is, are you going into that room?
I think, yeah.
All right, in that case, we will jump back over to the team as we set up what you guys are going to do next.
Kitty, kitty.
So, Stormchaser team.
Hey, what up?
We're in a combat encounter.
Yeah, we are.
Hello.
First things first, Lucius, you ordered the crew
to be evasive in their sort of actions.
Now, you gave that to Oriah, but what I'm going to do is at the start of every round,
I'm basically going to have you as the captain issue an order to the whole ship.
So that will cover engineering, Oriah, navigation, and the crew.
So basically, we're going to do checks to basically the whole crew,
whether you want them to be evasive, whether you want them to be aggressive,
or whether you want them to use their wits and intellect to overcome obstacles and problems.
So right now, you have the problem of this Kraken is about to launch itself towards the Storm Chaser.
You have summoned your Handrius, or Quill has summoned your Handrius,
but there is still this imminent threat of another beast potentially flanking
and trapping you
between the Ashtal Dreadnought
and the Kraken.
So, I would like
Orion to make a piloting check.
Nova, if you could roll
for Howard for me, please.
Quill, are you currently navigating?
I'm going to make a point.
If you choose to navigate,
you will not be able
to act as normal
in the combat round.
You are the chosen one.
People need healing.
You could have Lookout act as navigator.
Lookout is available as an NPC to do that.
Yeah, I'm trying to remember from last week,
how bad are the NPCs looking?
They're on the floor.
Yeah, some of them are prone,
but Danica is looking pretty hurt.
Max and Protector are injured, but they are tough.
Okay, I'll have lookout.
All right.
In that case, can you roll for lookout for me, please?
Sure.
And then Ravs is our guest.
I'd like you to roll for the crew of the Stormchaser.
The wall pack, please.
Because no pressure.
That is a four oh brilliant i'm gonna
have to roll better than that so so your roll was a four i've got the bonuses in my head so we got
four okay i got 13 for whatever that means uh ariah for ariah oh my god for ariah and then
howard she's just what me is a I'm afraid that is a complete failure.
More than half of the team failed.
What did Lookout get?
Lookout was successful, but more than half failed.
Okay.
So at this point,
so in trying to kind of evade the Kraken and this thing.
Team and everyone's just bashing their heads against the wall.
It's more that, like, yeah,
Oriah's, like, spinning.
Everyone's kind of, like, thrown to the side
as Oriah is making these hard, sharp turns,
but also try and navigate the fire of the Fenrir
and this ongoing massive astral battle around you,
and it's just too much.
The crew is just too overwhelmed,
everybody in their positions,
and unfortunately only Lookout is really able
to kind of maybe chart a course
and use the sensors to kind of prevent any sort of, like, major crashes. However, the Kraken is going is really able to chart a course and use the sensors to prevent any major crashes.
However, the Kraken is going to be able to jump
and almost get to the other side of the ship.
You are now being flanked by both.
And there is also going to be some damage to the Storm Chaser
as the Fenrir is going to make an attack with an advantage.
That is going to hit.
And the Storm Chaser isers can take some damage.
How are we looking for shields? Side shields.
Not great. Side is at 18.
18? Front is at 9.
Oh! Back is at 0.
What? The sides take 19 points of damage.
That's one hull. So one point of hull, but more importantly,
the side shields are down.
The creatures can now attack creatures on the deck.
So how much are the fronts on?
Nine.
Nine, okay.
So that is going to be the storm chasers action this round.
Cool.
Danica.
We rolled well.
Thanks.
This is how it's been going.
Danica is going to blast the Astral Dreadnought with a fiery blast.
Nice.
Is that just continual?
She's just going to keep doing basic attacks, yeah.
That is 19 points of fire damage to the Dreadnought.
Does it look resistant to it?
It does not.
No, it does not seem resistant.
Not to Danica.
Danica actually ignores resistance.
Oh, yeah.
She's not.
Oh, yeah, I remember you saying it.
It looked like it could have pushed through.
It could have resisted it, but she pushed through, yes,
to fire.
The Astral Dreadnought's turn, unfortunately.
Sorry, there's a lot of things going on.
Welcome to high level combat, Ravs.
It's basically me taking four hours,
and then these guys get around.
Dude's a dragon.
He's fine.
Dude's a dragon, he's fine.
Yeah.
So with the sides now down,
the Astral Dreadnought is going to attempt to bite.
Who is on the deck of the ship?
We currently have Sentry, Lucius, Quill, and the crew.
And then Max Protector and Danica.
I don't want to make myself a juicier target,
but I remembered I'm currently concentrating on Aura of Life as well.
The Dreadnought does not seem to be intelligent enough
to really kind of pick up on that.
It seems to be acting on some sort of primal instinct.
I'm going to roll a DC.
That's just the wolf.
One, two, three.
Four for Danica, five for Max, six for Protector.
All right.
It attacks Protector, who is currently protecting Danica, I believe.
It's going to attempt to bite.
It's their job, I guess.
Natural 20.
Oh shit.
We already prepared him!
He protect.
He dead.
That's 95 points of damage.
95!
Wow.
That's probably...
Is that necrotic damage?
It is.
It is.
It is.
It is.
It is.
It is.
It is.
It is. It is. It is. It is. Oh! How much damage? 95. Wow.
Oh my goodness.
That's probably...
Is that necrotic damage?
It is.
That was force damage.
That's a matter of what kind of damage it is, Tommy Wombus.
Protector is also swallowed by the creature.
It literally, this giant mouth reaches through
and almost like Protector shoves down a creature out of the way
and tries to block it with a shield, but this thing just clamps its jaws over Protector
and then just pulls away.
A single hand comes up
and he just like flicks him up with his thumb.
Two core attacks now.
Oh good, even more.
This will be one to Lucius, one to Sentry.
Lucius, that is a 24 to hit.
Yeah.
19 points of force damage, please.
Sentry.
Oh my god, is that now 20?
Fuck, do it!
I will join my brother.
It's not as bad, the core is not as damaging.
Swallow me.
That's gonna be...
Swallow me, you chicken.
Take this.
27.
I'm getting from the inside.
Take me. So yeah, you just see I'm getting from the inside. Take me!
So yeah, you just see Starbreaker coming from the inside.
46 points of slashing damage.
Yikes.
As this thing just bursts through
with no environmental shielding to protect it,
with one swallow, Protector is in its mouth.
Might still be alive, you don't know.
But then with the claws, Lucius,
you barely, it kind of rakes across you,
makes you throw yourself back,
but Sentry, as you're almost
distracted by Protector, you just
get railed by this thing as it
just rips across your body, shredding
your armor.
That is the Dreadnought's turn.
Euhendrius! It's my turn.
It is your turn.
There is a Dreadnought and a Kraken.
The Dreadnought does look injured. The Kraken
I will also say, the Kraken does also look injured. It looks like the Kraken. The Dreadnaught does look injured. The Kraken, I will also say,
the Kraken does also look injured.
It looks like the Kraken's battle with Siaska
has left it injured.
It is not at full health.
Kraken, however.
That's the Kraken, sorry.
The Kraken has been injured.
Okay.
Well, it's starting my turn.
So anything within 10 feet of me right now,
no wait, 30 feet of me takes 10 lightning damage.
Okay, that's going to be both creatures then.
Both creatures are going to take 10. All right.
It's been a while since I've done a spot of fishing
and I'm gonna fly at the kraken.
Okay.
Oh my god!
So if you wanna engage directly with the kraken,
it means you'll move away from the dreadnought,
so next time the dreadnought won't be in your aura.
It means you're gonna go and fly and engage with the kraken.
That's fair.
Stasis so long as that's fine.
Imagine, because we're gonna do theater
in the mind combat in this one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're kinda gonna have zones. to go and fly and engage with the Kraken. That's fair. Stasis. Imagine because we're going to do theater in the mind combat.
We're kind of going to have zones.
So you're going to engage
directly with the Kraken.
What would you like to do?
Can I get a nice line?
I'd say you could.
You could fly behind the Kraken
and line the Dreadnought
and the...
Nice.
I'm just going to go
straight away lightning breath.
Hit both of them.
So read it out for me, man.
A 90 foot long, five-foot wide lightning blast,
dex save DC 20, 12d10 damage.
Astral Dreadnought gets zero.
Yeah, how dexterous are they?
The Kraken gets, the Kraken's fairly,
but it's only an 18, so they're both gonna fail.
Okay. Okay.
That's 12d10 damage.
How much?
12d10.
Can we just roll on here?
Could you roll that on there for me?
Because that's going to take me forever to roll.
12d10.
Here we go.
Roll high, baby.
Roll high.
Big whammies.
Not bad.
58.
58 damage.
58 points of damage.
There are a couple of twos and ones in there.
And how many of the party are offending 60 feet of me right now? You say 58, yes?
58, yes.
Give me one second.
I've got a lot of things.
I'm doing it manually for some reason.
Okay, so the lightning blast kind of erupts.
This line of lightning just thunders through the kraken.
You see it flex itself.
This is an astral kraken.
People at home who are like,
Krakens are immune to lightning.
This is an astral kraken.
Yeah.
So it's fine.
Might need your business.
Yeah.
The astral dredd not, it strikes into it and you see it convulse and things like that.
There is no sign of protector.
Oh.
Uh-oh.
But they both seem that was a powerful strike.
Is there anyone within 60 feet of me that's in the party?
I would say anybody in the party.
Okay, I'm going to give some bombastic side-eye to Sentry,
and my eyes will light up blue,
and you will become stormlight infused.
What?
Yeah, it's bonus action.
One creature within 60 feet of me
gains blessing for 1d3 plus one round.
So I couldn't fit the blessing into what I wrote for Ravs,
but it is basically the blessing for future reference,
if any of you get this.
When you are infused with Stormlight,
you deal an extra d10 of lightning damage
with weapon and spell attacks.
The dc of any spells that deal lightning damage
are increased by two,
and you gain a flying speed of 60 feet.
Like a flying speed?
Yeah, and it lasts for, can you roll a D6 for me?
I did, I rolled a two on a D6.
So that would be a D3, that's a one.
So it's two rounds it lasts for.
Two rounds.
I've got to put on there as well,
but it's only one creature can be blessed at a time.
That's fair. So if it recharges, you have to wait for it to end. All right, and now do I roll to see if I get my lightning back, I've got to put on there as well, but it's only one creature can be blessed at a time.
That's fair.
So if it recharges, you have to wait for it to end.
All right.
And then do I roll to see if I get my lightning back or is that at the start of the turn?
It's at the start of your turn.
Got it.
No problem.
Any kind of recharge abilities.
No problem.
Sweet, sweet.
And this stormlight one's also a recharge, right?
Yes, I believe so.
Cool.
That's my turn.
Nice.
That's my turn.
Yes, it's the same.
Five, six.
Pretty good, too. Turns up, electrocutes, leaves.
Basically, yes.
Yohandras, good job.
Sentouine.
I'm going to fly.
I can do that now.
Yep, you have a flying speed of 60 feet.
I'm going to fight this dreadnought and I'm going to-
You're going to engage the dreadnought.
Engage this boy right in the face.
After a good railing.
You're going to engage.
Sometimes I say things that I don't realise what I'm saying.
That's what I told you.
I said it.
Things are moving fast this century.
That's what I'm saying.
Will you marry me?
You're staying within the bubble, right?
The bubble of the storm chaser.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Just fly up to its face.
It is like gripping the storm chaser's hull.
It's like...
19 to hit for the first one.
19 will unfortunately not hit. Just barely deflected by the creature's thick carapace all right i'm gonna all right
i'm gonna do my um driven to purpose for this it's a d6 now don't forget yeah 15 plus 13, 28. That will hit.
Fantastic.
Right.
Numbies.
Get all the Numbies out.
All the Numbies.
Level three Divine Smite,
because that's all I've got left.
That's all you have left?
Yeah, I've used all my four and fifth level spells.
I've just got ones and twos as well.
One.
Just the lightning stuff?
1d10 extra.
1d10 extra.
Four. You don't need to cast lightning for it to work, it's just extra lightning. Yeah, on spells and attacks.
One of them just flipped out.
Oh, 12.
Don't forget as well, Rhi, this is a Hadar corrupted creature, so you get the extra 2d8 from Starbreaker.
That's a lot of days to roll. It's not even the max. Extra 2d8 for some Starbreaker.
That's a lot of dice to roll. It's not even the max for her.
She also has multi-attack.
Paladins are favored by Winsor the Cousin.
And she has a weapon that's made for this encounter.
You should hear her level 20 ability.
It's fucking ludicrous.
Spells are all bonus action.
Oh my god.
Every spell.
Every spell.
What?
Mm. 42 plus seven. I just get spell spells backed by us nicely. 40. Oh my god. Every spell. Every spell. What? Mm.
42 plus seven. I just get spells
back by us nicely.
46.
42 plus seven is 49.
49, so 49 total.
Regains 10 health every turn for 10 minutes.
Plus the D10 lightning damage?
Yeah. Yeah, that's strong.
That's not concentration.
What?
So, flying up, kind of, you know,
I guess potentially is this like en, enraged seeing Protector?
Or is this, like, okay.
He's pissed.
So you fly up and slam the spiraling green energy of Starbreaker into this creature's face.
And you watch as part of it caves in, breaking away teeth and part of its armoured carapace.
It is still standing, but it is heavily injured.
It is bleeding this, like, thick black Icarus blood, which seems to be almost streaked with red light,
almost like larvae or like worms in its blood.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, that's so cool.
Grim.
But yeah, anything else in your turn?
I'm gonna bonus action regain a level three spell slot.
All righty, Quill, you're up, then it's Lucius.
Okay.
How are you gonna find out?
I'm in this. I just realized.
I was just watching.
I can't just watch this.
Quill, then Lucius. Do you know the second attack?
Wait, did you? That was the second attack.
Yeah, the first one.
All right, I'm gonna, can he,
sorry, what spell have you got prepared in your ring?
Bacon. Bacon.
Bacon of Hope. Bacon.
Bacon of Hope. Oh, Bacon of Hope.
Just Bacon of Hope. That's fine, that's okay. Because the other one Bacon. Bacon of hope. Oh, bacon of hope.
Sorry.
Because the other one helped.
Yeah, okay.
That's a restoration.
Could I make a call for you to cast at this turn?
You can try.
Okay.
Hey, Lucius.
Yeah?
Sit and swivel?
Swivel on this.
Quill!
I need bacon.
I need bacon right now.
Okay. Swim on this. Quill! I need bacon.
I need bacon right now.
Okay.
And I'm going to hold an action to cast Mass Kill Wounds
when Lucius activates Beacon of Hope.
Does bacon.
Okay.
All right.
That's going to be your action.
You are concentrating on that spell.
Yeah, that's fine.
So I'm holding Concentration with Elder Quill.
Okay.
Yeah.
Done?
He's making a face.
All right, at the end of your turn,
I'm gonna take a Legendary Action
from the Astral Dreadnought and the Kraken.
Oh, back to the same, okay,
that's for fucking Nate.
I need all of you, including Johandrius,
to make a Wisdom saving throw.
Wisdom.
That's not okay.
I just want to farm away, you're 30 feet from hostility. 19. a wisdom saving throw. Wisdom... That's not good. I'm too far away.
You're 30 feet
for a posthumous.
19.
Everyone but your hand,
Drew,
will get your posthumous.
19.
That's a success.
Ooh.
This dice is...
13, fail.
17?
Fail.
Oh, no.
42.
Success.
I will roll for...
I say 42.
Danica passes.
I wish.
Max fails.
That is going to be 26 psychic damage if you failed, 13 psychic damage if you succeeded. Equal that to DC 13 concentration.
DC 13.
I think I got rubber.
Yes.
Sorry, I got it.
Oh, we got it. We got it.
Mark, we got it.
Mark, got one.
Do you need it? You've got a pencil. I've got another pencil.
Yeah, thank you.
You've got a pencil.
I've got another pencil.
Yeah, thank you.
You've got about 20 sharp.
Wait, that's a threatening pen, isn't it, Mark?
Yeah.
That's why I gave you the box.
To track your blackness. That's very fair.
I don't know if the box was fine.
On the heel, that is,
oh, fuck me, that's a six. And on the other one, that's a 12. Both gone.
Both my spells gone.
You saved, so you only took half damage. You took 13.
I took 13, did I? Oh great. Even better.
So yes, you would have taken 13, yeah.
So unfortunately, as you are beginning to concentrate preparing this spell ready for Lucius,
this thing hits you with this psychic projection,
this psychic scream,
and your mind becomes annulled,
and you lose the spell, unfortunately.
Don't worry about it.
Or do.
For next time.
Danica manages to resist it.
Max, unfortunately, is clutching his head,
but he seems okay.
He's pretty tough.
The Kraken is going to make a tentacle attack against Yohandrius.
Yohandrius. Cough medicine.
Is it?
With a clean up.
27.
Oh, that hits, yeah.
That will be 20 points of damage to you, sir.
That's all.
And you are grappled as it wraps its tentacle around your draconic form.
It's opting with me.
Yeah, that's it.
You're not grappled by it,
it's grappled with you.
Whilst you,
until it's grappled
you are restrained.
Okay, how much damage
is that again?
20.
20, okay.
Maths.
293.
293.
Yeah.
Now it is Lucius' turn.
Lucius will, it's an action to use my Ringy Ring Ring.
It is.
I'm going to action Beacon of Hope.
Okay.
One.
That's your action.
One.
Go on.
It worked.
Great.
And then I'm going to-
Are you going to do your part?
Your turn.
I'm going to throw, as a quickened spell,
Chromatic Orb Level 2 at the Really Hurt Dreadnought.
Okay.
So, I'm gonna use my other feature to reroll that.
Secret spell, what'd you get?
I'm not gonna use a sorcery point.oll that. Seeking Spell? What did you get? I'm not going to use a Sorcery Point.
I've got one reroll, I believe, because I have...
I'm taking on a saving throw against a Hadar,
which I believe you've spent.
No, not that.
I've got something that I rarely use.
It's a Sorcerer thing where I can just redo...
Seeking Spell?
No, no, no, it's not a meta magic. I'll use seeking spell.
I'm pretty sure you don't have just a re-roll and attack thing.
Is it from the gauntlet or something?
Nope.
Sorcerer's versatility, no.
It doesn't. Magical Guidance!
Oh!
You can use one sorcery point to re-roll a d20 instead of...
Any d20? On attack rolls?
When you make an ability check that fails. It's not an ability check, it's an attack roll. We could use one sorcery point to reroll a d20. Any d20? On attack rolls?
Ability check that fails.
It's not an ability check, it's an attack roll.
That's what I was like, I'm pretty sure you don't have it.
That is a powerful ability.
If it was attack rolls, yes.
I just mean, is it still powerful?
That's better though, I've got a 16 plus 13.
That will hit.
Oh yeah, I've got that.
That's good for ability checks.
Yeah.
Then you get, I think you get ability checks for fire wind.
That's 18 points of ice.
18 points of ice.
And I'm an adept, so they can't be resistant to it.
Can't be resistant to it.
I'm going to Dicromancy 30, so that's level 2.
Eight points of Dicromancy on it as well.
To the Dreadnaught?
Yeah.
You watch as Lucius, this ball of ice,
you throw it as it streaks down,
and where Sentry had injured its face,
the ball of ice kind of strikes through
and imagine probably strikes up into the creature's brain
as you watch as its body just kind of slumps down
and then begins to pull away from the ship
as it is destroyed.
Holy crap. You guys dealt a ton of damage to it in from the ship as it is destroyed. Holy crap.
You guys dealt a ton of damage to it in the first couple of rounds as well.
Nice.
With a lot of the ship weapons and stuff like that.
I turn around with my hand still outstretched from the spell and I'm like,
now let's try those evasive maneuvers again, everybody.
You watch as, because it wasn't the same throw, I couldn't resist against it.
You watch as...
Debris. You watch as...
Debris.
You see pieces of ship, astral ships.
You see bodies of creatures.
You actually see a couple of still living creatures.
They look like maybe Valkyrian soldiers.
A pier in the creature space, outside of the storm chaser,
a pier in astral space,
where the creature was.
As it dies, its body just crumbles away,
and you watch as the space where its stomach would have been
almost opens like a rift,
and all this stuff comes spilling out from its body,
including Protector, who is just barely still alive.
Oh, my God.
How is he still alive?
He's got a dimension, barely.
Yeah.
I mean, plain old Don't you?
I don't know.
I should have had one of those.
Yeah, I'd love that.
Did that, like, explode?
It's like an explosion of corpses?
It's like a portal opens up,
though you can't see anything.
Yeah.
And this stuff just comes spilling out of it.
And then when it's done,
when everything's out,
it just closes and vanishes, this portal.
And the body itself disintegrates
into nothing. They are currently
floating in astral space.
They all immediately take...
Most of the Valkyrian soldiers instantly
die. They're just frozen solid
and just...
Oh, sucks to be there.
You can see Protector's still alive
and is reaching towards the Storm Chaser.
How far away are they?
I would say that the creature was gargantuan,
so you're probably looking at about 60 feet away from the Storm Chaser's hull.
I've lost my concentration anyway, so it doesn't matter.
Right.
With that, Lucius, great job on defeating that creature.
Hell yeah.
At the end of your turn, Lucius,
the Kraken is going to attack you with one of its tentacles.
The Astral Kraken.
That is a 20 to hit.
20 points of bludgeoning damage,
and you are grappled.
Whilst you are grappled, you are restrained.
You can escape it on your turn with an action.
However, it is now the Kraken's go.
I'm not super well right now.
That's good, because...
Might be in a single digit.
Oh, what? Okay, concentration check as well.
Concentration check on Bacon.
Oh, that's true, yes please. I mean that was DC 10.
11.
Succeed.
On the Astral Kraken's turn, it is going to make
three tentacle attacks.
One of which is going to be to
throw Lucius back down
onto the deck of the ship.
It can fling a creature it has grappled.
You're in your own sun.
Okay.
Bacon gonna be gone.
Then it will make two other tentacle attacks.
Can it fling me?
It can't.
You're too big.
Okay, that's good.
So tentacle attack.
One, two, three, four, five, six.
Both tentacles are gonna be at sentry
the next two sentry.
Okay.
Good.
What's the check for Lucius?
Are they making an attack or is it?
It's just an attack.
It's just a check, he's just thrown.
It just is thrown.
It's an attack.
He's actually gonna throw Lucius at Quill.
Quill, can you make a dexterity saving throw for me, please?
Oh, dexterity.
Catch the boy.
Catch the boy.
15.
15? Yeah.
You both take.
You get plus three for me.
Oh, 18 then.
18 is just enough, actually, yeah.
You will dodge to the side.
Okay, oh, God!
I'd say if you would like to try and catch him instead,
you can either dodge or catch.
Would that lessen Lucius's...
Maybe.
I mean, I want him to keep his bacon.
Forms of an angel.
Let's get to your Titanic moment.
I'll try and gust catch him.
You're just filming me around.
That would mean 23 bludgeoning damage.
It's going to go down to 11 bludgeoning damage,
but Quill, you're also still going to take 11 bludgeoning damage.
I'm still down.
Oh, you are still down.
Okay.
Shit.
He was on seven.
In your arms.
Where did that happen?
I mean, they've been blasted by AoEs and stuff quite a lot.
Sentry, two tentacle attacks. That is going to be 23.
Yep.
And then 22?
Yep.
Okay. You're going to take 20 damage two times, so 40 damage.
And you are grappled as well.
It kind of just grips you in its tentacles.
So currently,
your Handrius and Sentry are both being grappled.
Cool.
The Kraken also gets its legendary actions back.
Finally,
at the very bottom of the round,
oh, in fact,
need to remember,
you are currently Max's ward,
so you do have a higher AC and deck saving throws as well.
You get plus two to AC plus two deck saves.
So I mean, I passed that deck save anyway, right?
Yeah, you did.
But do remind me, whenever you take damage,
say, can Max take that for me if you need him to?
Okay.
Because he can take damage for you.
Yeah.
But you need to remind me.
Okay, so my con saves would have been lower as well.
Yes.
That's fine.
Max is going to call down a flame strike on the kraken, to which it fails.
The kraken is going to take some damage.
Do that.
So you watch as Max will kind of call down flames of gideon and kind of call it down
on top of the kraken's head um protector is is is literally restrained like they're floating
in astral space they cannot do anything until they are rescued until they are inside the ship
that brings us to an end on the storm chasers battle round one we're going to jump back over
to infiltration team uh you have kind of regathered outside the doorway into this storage room nova
you can now see what ala was describing this is a storage room you can see there are rows and rows
of these kind of chests and crates and barrels but these like almost imagine like futuristic
viking like carved from wood but with elements of magitek carved with these giant runes in the
middle there is this giant stone dais it looks like it might be something that a giant would be at waist height to a giant, so to you it's taller than you are.
But you can see that there are crystals and there is magitek and magic glowing throughout
it. But Norfear will confirm what Aayla saw and point in the direction of the shadows.
I see it as well. I'll say, it's some sort of creature.
Do you think it's a good creature?
The cage is open.
It's hard to tell.
I've never seen anything like that before.
I think it's real.
I want to make it.
Can we pet it?
I want to be a friend.
I mean, Nova, do you think you can use that thing?
Do you want to go in here?
I can try and make something out of it.
Do you want to?
Giant.
Can Tiangong read giant?
That's a good point.
Tiangong is an ancient being of immense power.
I will say this.
I will say Tiangong can if you manifest the echo.
They have to be, like, physically present
because you don't have, like, the... you don't have the Eldritch Invocation
because normally I would argue
that any of Tiangong's powers
would come from your Eldritch Invocations.
I will say that yes,
but it might take some time
because of the connection.
You have to relay the information.
They have to relay it back to you.
Can I manifest Tiangong on the dais?
You can.
They will be very visible.
Yeah. The other thing I will also say to you is looking at these runes uh do any of you speak dwarven i do you speak
dwarven yeah scout does as does nor fear as well do you speak dwarven so ayla nor fear and scout
um nor fear and scout would probably point out like i can't read giant but some of those runes
it looks kind of dwarvenish
like i think i can read some of it um so the other option is anybody who can speak dwarves can
analyze it but it's you're not 100 sure if it's going to be a one-to-one translation um but yeah
i'd say that tiangong probably can it will just probably take longer um yeah do you want to summon
tiangong on the dice oh Well, I'll relay that.
Tiangong can do it, but they'll be seen.
They'll be very visible up there.
So maybe if I work with Tiangong and you guys deal with a displaced beast,
make friends with it, kill it, I don't care.
Just stop it from attacking us.
You tell the NPCs what you want them to do as well.
I'm going to make little RP commentary,
but I'm not going to have them decide to do things
unless you tell them to.
So I think maybe
if I take Scout with us
to deal with the dice.
Scout can climb up there
as well.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He can actually physically
climb up on top of it.
Yeah, so...
And you can...
You need to levitate
or have someone
boost you up.
I can boost up.
And then if you guys,
you, Norfair and Hope
deal with the Displacer Beast.
Okay.
I think that's what we're going to do.
All right.
Okay.
In that case, you two are both invisible, so Ayla can boost you up.
I'm not.
Hope is.
In that case, if Ayla's going to boost you up, you and Scout need to make stealth checks
to see if you can get on top of it without being seen.
And then you decide what you, Norfair, and Hope are going to do about this creature.
Whether you're going to attack it or whether you're going to try and befriend it,
you decide what you want to do.
Can I?
Oh, you've got to be shitting me.
You get a plus 10.
Pass the light, Jase.
It rolled over into an at one.
11, 12, 13, 14.
Spirit leveled.
14.
Nice.
Okay.
So you boost Nova up.
Scout just basically walks up to it,
puts his little kind of like climy wheels
and just goes straight up.
Do you summon Tiangong when you get up there?
Okay.
You can see, you can basically stand on it.
It's so big.
You know, this is a giant's console almost.
Like you and Tiangong.
Tiangong kind of just hovers in the air, I guess, slightly.
You're kind of stood on it and Scout's only little,
so he's kind of perched on the side.
There's probably just about enough room for you and Tiangong
and then Scout is sort of hanging on the side.
You can see a complex series of giant's runes.
You can see these crystals.
You can see that there is Magitek element built into here.
But when you do Nova, as you put one of your feet,
just taps one of these crystals
and it lets out this uh kind of dull tone like a boom and then you hear in a giant speaking like
you hear a kind of dog or something like that like a kind of giant word um and the rest of you
who are on the ground the creature and its ears kind of flick up. It kind of like prowls and you see it shimmer
and then it basically kind of blurs into a multitude
of the same creature as it begins prowling
towards the pedestal, looking like it's about to pounce.
It doesn't look like it's spotted the rest of you yet,
but it has spotted Nova on top.
Hi.
Well, I guess we're gonna to have to kill it then.
Okay.
We'll calm it down.
What would you like to do?
I'd say this is down to Aayla.
You're kind of, you're commanding the other two right now.
Norfyr's got like a blade out.
Hope, do you have any way of calming animals?
I'm really good with animals.
Okay, try it then.
Okay.
And if it doesn't work, though,
Norfira and I are going to attack.
Sure.
Hope will move out into the open space.
And she'll be like, here, kitty, kitty, kitty.
And she will attempt to make an animal handling check
to try and calm this business.
Those always end well.
Yeah, yeah.
In fact, I'm not going to roll for it.
I'm going to have someone else roll for it.
I'll have Katie roll for it.
Yeah, roll a d20 for me, please.
18.
Oh.
18.
You watch as Hope's like,
it's okay, we're not here to hurt you, it's fine.
And she's trying to calm it down,
and she puts her front legs down,
so she's in a very calm position.
And you see, maybe it's Hope's arch-fay element to it,
but the space of beast, it's ears that are back,
and it's aggressive.
It kind of, like, lets its ears relax,
and it kind of, like, almost looks at Hope curiously,
and it sort of pads around her,
more interested in her now than whatever Nova's doing.
And, like, Hope gets, like, some food out
and is trying to feed it.
And it looks like it's at least calmed or satiated enough
that it's not too worried about what's going on with Nova.
Norfear is just like blade at the ready.
Yeah, I'm ready too.
Say the word.
I'm going to displace a beast.
Yeah, can we have a friend?
Not in this campaign.
Friend!
Maybe not in this campaign, but you can too.
So, Nova on top of this console.
I guess working with Protector and...
Scout.
Sorry, Scout. Protector's eaten.
Scout and Tiangong just trying to...
You don't need to make a check on this.
That's good.
With a bit of time, a few seconds or whatever,
Scout is pointing.
He's like, well, I mean, in Dwarven, some of these runes,
I mean, this one I think says forge.
It's pretty similar to the Dwarven word for forge.
This one is like, I don't know, like open or activate or something,
I think, for this one.
But I think these are directions and these things can be sent, I think.
And he points up and you can see that
in the top half of this room, there are like chutes.
There are like chambers, like tunnels,
like small tunnels that these crates
could actually be fed into.
And Tiangong will say, I concur with the guardian.
This appears to be a storage center
able to distribute supplies around the Fenrir.
This dialect is unusual. a storage center, able to distribute supplies around the Fenrir.
This dialect is unusual.
My translation is not much more reliable than Scouts, I'm afraid, but I concur.
This does appear to be a forge.
I believe that we are currently in a place of rest, I think the word translates to.
I think that these might be compartments of the ship, areas of the ship,
but the translations of exactly their purpose is what I'm getting stuck on.
I think that we have rest to use, to open.
I'm not sure what this one is.
Forge is quite clear.
This one is almost...
I'm trying to think of a... Like replenishment or nourishment.
And this one appears to be knowledge or lore.
These are different areas of the ship that we can access.
So we need to bring the barriers down so they can attack the ship. So, nourishment is probably
some kind of canteen or kitchen. Do undead giants eat? What do they eat? I don't even
want to know.
They're probably always dead.
Forge is, yeah, I guess forge is some kind of making space knowledge.
Probably if we go to the knowledge area,
then that would give us more information on how to bring the barriers down, at least.
If nothing else, it may help us identify these different ship areas.
It may have clearer information.
Nobody just stumbles over.
This is just to examine the console.
If you'd like to try and activate this device in front of you,
you could try and activate it.
You don't really know what it does.
This is just reading off some of the runes that are already in place.
The scout's kind of seen almost like a map,
but not quite a map.
It's just like areas of the ship that things can be sent to.
Is there like one of these chutes?
Is there like a thing underneath it? So like if we were to test, for example, and, like, one of these chutes? Is there, like, a thing underneath it?
So, like, if we were to test, for example,
and be like, I want to press this.
You don't see, like, a crane or anything like that.
No, you haven't seen anything like that.
Like, where do these chutes come down?
Like, where would we have to stand?
Well, they're in the walls.
It's kind of like tunnels.
They're more like tunnels that separate off.
Okay.
But they're closed as well.
They have, like, little hatches on them.
I guess
can I test press
the button that says open? This is gonna be
you find the nearest one that
Scout or Tiangong can translate to a sort
of open. If you
can make an intellect, intelligence
test with advantage, just straight intelligence
with advantage.
Oh my god god dice rolls continue
it's a one again
it's a one and a six
oh my god
plus three
four
no what's my end
yeah three
nine
okay
they're going in the naughty part
you press
what you think is open
you press a few of the functions
lights begin to flash
red lights you don't think that was the right you've done the functions lights begin to flash red lights
you don't think that was the right
you've done something and you begin to hear
this more aggressive almost monotonous
giant voice
and then you begin to hear an alarm
you are however going to open
one of these chutes,
and you see that the hatchway does open,
and you see a faintly glowing disc appears under a chest,
and it moves it into the tunnel, and then it shoots down this tunnel.
It's pulled by some magical force, and that does remain open.
You want that to go towards lore, yes?
You were investigating it?
Yeah, knowledge such lore. I will say that you have accessed that connector. and that does remain open. Which would you want that to go towards lore? Yes, you were investigating it.
I will say that you have accessed that connector.
You will be able to use this to progress further into the ship.
But there is now an alarm.
Jumping back over to our storm chaser team.
Yay!
What would you like the ship's crew to focus on?
Replenishing shields.
Okay, so focusing on defense at this point. At least I think so.
What do you reckon?
Yeah, we need it.
Yeah, it does make sense.
Okay, I'd like to have a round,
a bunch of checks from the pilot, the engineer,
the navigator, and the crew.
So if we can have a Raya, perhaps Trot,
you can roll for Howard in the engineering.
Tom, if you can keep rolling for lookout.
And Ravs, keep rolling for our lovely crew. Okay. Just a d20 roll, just tell me, because I've in the engineering. Tom, if you can keep rolling for lookout. And Ravs, keep rolling for our lovely crew.
Okay.
Just a d20 roll, just tell me,
because I've got the bonuses.
A seven.
Seven for the crew.
Oh, no, that's a four.
Okay, no.
Six.
Six for Howard in the engineering.
He's still gonna replace shields,
but this is for other things.
14.
14 for a riot.
I got a 13.
13.
Not as bad, not a complete failure.
At least half of them did succeed
You're doing it
You're not a complete failure
To the side
Would you like shields?
Yes please
That's where the cracker is
Yeah what bearing is there?
12 points of
12 points of shielding to the side
Nice
Any creatures that are currently being grappled by the kraken
So Sentry and Yohandrius
You can still be attacked by it.
It's kind of almost going to try and pull you out.
I can't say anything because I'm down.
It doesn't matter.
This is kind of like a group kind of test.
You're still like,
this is how they're acting on what they think they should do.
This can be Quill shouting at them to do whatever.
It's just because you're the captain
and I want you to make that decision.
But there is still some cost.
You still get to do what you did.
They are going to be more defensive.
I'm going to make it so that all of you
have a plus two to AC temporarily for this round.
As Araya is using defensive maneuvers
to try and keep away from the Kraken,
Howard's trying to replenish the shields.
Lookout is actually using the ship's systems
to try and plot ways to get things
in between you and the Kraken.
Stuff like that. Cool. The crew, however, are in total panic. ship systems to try and plot you know ways to get things in between you and the kraken um stuff like
that cool uh the crew however are in total panic the wolf pack are just freaking out at this point
every everything is chaos down down below decks um but then we're going to jump back in with the
whole team um uh danica will look at you quill i can go and get the Guardian or I can deal damage to the Kraken. What do you want?
No.
Lucius is down.
You need to tell me now.
How is the Kraken looking?
I mean, my vitality scanner,
I'm going to say, is broken.
Okay.
So I'm not going to just like... It's power level.
Jada, what does it say
about the Kraken's vitality level?
But yeah, it's taken some blows,
but it looks pretty tough.
I mean, no one else can get Protector, right?
So get Protector.
All right.
She kind of uses her hands to summon jets of fire,
and she is going to surround herself with flame
to protect herself from the cold.
She's going to fly out, grab Protector, and then dash back
and basically land on the deck,
almost like steam rising off of her
as the cold and the heat have been best.
She does take a level of exhaustion
because that is using her sort of Conjure Heat ability.
So she's going to take a level of exhaustion.
Hey, that was cool as hell.
Thanks, Danica.
Kill that thing!
Yep.
Yohandrius, kill that thing!
Yohandrius, you are up next. You are currently being restrained.
So you have disadvantage on attack rolls.
You can try and break free, but it's your action to break free.
Okay. Can I have legendary resistance break free?
Oh, I'd say if you want to spend one of your uses, I'll let you do that, yeah.
Okay, well let's first of all see if we get our lightning back.
Ooh, that's a five, So I got my lightning back.
Oh, shit.
And I don't get fusing back.
Okay, so you've got the lightning back.
That's freeing it down.
Oh, those dice are hard to read.
They are.
So you feel that power kind of churn back inside you.
The tempest begins to storm and swirl
as you feel your lightning return to you.
Okay.
And I'd say, yeah,
if you want to expend one of your legendary instances,
I will let you break out
of the grapple for free.
Yeah, I'll do that.
Alrighty.
So the wings burst open
as you kind of send
the tentacle flying off.
You fly back out
into astral space
unaffected by the cold.
Is there any other, like,
pipes I can line up
and show on as well?
So keep in mind,
imagine Rav's like,
this is like,
like one of those big
climactic fights in Star Wars.
There are millions of ships all around you.
The big Fenrir itself, I mean, you could try and strike
that with lightning as well, but there's all these
little creatures and ships that are flying around you
the whole time as well.
All right, I'm just gonna get myself Gudango
and maybe try, can I hit the cracker on the Fenrir?
Yeah, if you want to.
I'll aim for that.
Sure.
Just see a window and and Nova's running past.
Yep, same again, 90 foot long,
lying five foot wide lightning blast, DC 20.
Kraken rolls a one for a minus one.
Oh!
Oh, get wrecked.
Oh no, sorry, that was the dreadnought, actually.
The Kraken would have got higher, but it's still a failure.
Okay.
The Fenrir itself, as the lightning strikes,
it almost hits a barrier like 200 feet around the Fenrir itself, as the lightning strikes, it almost hits a barrier
like 200 feet around the Fenrir and just.
Okay, it's very good.
You hear a distant alarm.
I'm gonna need that magical rolling gear
for someone. You do that 10d12.
12d10, please. 12d10.
Oh, 12d10, okay.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
nine, 10, 11, 12.
I can count.
Not as, oh no, 69.
69.
Lazy or something.
That's the weed number.
Yeah.
That's the weed number.
69, Zulu.
So again, you kind of fly back and just...
Like this blast of lightning echo,
and it kind of catches some of the tentacles,
kind of causes the whole crack and a spasm.
I'm going to try to fly around
to put myself between the ship and the Kraken.
I'd say with Rhyme managing to pull a little bit away,
your hand is going to block the direction.
With its shields up, I will say that as long as you are in that position
and you are counter-any-conscious,
it has to attack you before it can attack anyone on the deck of the ship.
Sentry is still grappled with it, so it can attack Sentry.
That's fair.
In your current form,
are you, like, opaque,
or do you look like a misty ghost?
That's a question mark.
Are you, like, hologram?
I'd say, like, kind of misty.
There is a spirit.
There is a spiritness to Johandrius,
but physically was able to be grabbed,
has physically, like, struck and things like that. There there is physicality to it because you put a fragment in the
spear right yeah so is it not all of you no still about me it's like similar one
percent of my favorite rest of you is fishing somewhere yeah just chillin on a
beach yeah have a couple night I'm handling it. At the end of your round, Ravs, Yohandrius, legendary action from the kraken.
The kraken is unable, seeing you block its way, the kraken is going to shimmer as you
watch this red ink begin to spread from its body.
I need Sentry, Johandrius,
and everyone on the deck of the Storm Chaser
to make constitution saving throws.
Do I auto-fill death save?
Constitution I think you still make, actually,
even if you're unconscious.
That is a- Fuck!
But you are gonna basically take one automatic.
Natural 20.
You're gonna make one automatic
because it takes half damage,
so you just take one automatic death save.
Natural 20 for 26. That's a success, all right.
26.
12. 12, fail.
Oh, got a nat one, eight total.
Fail, four.
Still a eight. Why?
This is the best side of the table.
Protector and Danica both fail.
Unfortunately, Max succeeds.
I'm just gonna make one roll for the crew.
The crew are unfortunately very ill as well.
That's going to be, if you succeeded, you take
half. Everyone who failed, it's only 16
poison damage, but you also
gain the poisoned condition.
I have resistance to poison!
There you go! Finally! Because of the Wyvern
armor!
Yay!
Coming through!
If it's halved, it would be
eight, or halfed again.
If you get both, then it's four.
And if you're a Resistant, you don't take the poison condition.
If you did fail, you also gain poison condition,
which is disadvantage on attack or off the ability checks.
That's the first time that's happened.
You do see Danica quite injured, and some of the others, like,
like she coughs up blood.
The wolf pack, they're not down, but you see most of the wolf pack are like,
like coughing as this red mist just kind of flows over the ship,
penetrating, permeating through the barriers.
Oh, I love that. I hate that also.
Very dark souls-y kind of level.
As that spreads out, the beacon of hope just goes back into the ring.
Unconscious, unconscious Lucius.
And that is one automatic death saving throw
for Lucius, by the way.
Sad.
That was at the end of Yohandris' turn.
Sentui.
Hello?
Hello?
Hello?
There it is, got it.
That cloud as well does obscure the area,
so the kraken is currently benefiting from being partially obscured as well.
So you guys, the kraken does seem to be able to sense where creatures are, as can your
Andreas.
But yeah, it is currently thing, and it is lingering.
That cloud, by the way, hasn't gone away.
Like a mushroom.
Is it in a certain area of space can the ship physically move?
Yeah, potentially. Yeah.
Interesting.
Sorry, I'm not here.
Sorry, whose turn is it?
If you were just looking at me, I thought like, you're next.
That's just your last turn of flight.
Oh, is it? Okay, last turn of flight, right.
You make it grappled by the loop.
You can't enlarge to break out of this grapple. You can, it won't automatically do it,
but you'll get an extra,
you'll have advantage and an extra D4 on the escape attempt.
All right, I'm gonna try.
Because unfortunately this creature
is able to restrain a large creature.
Imbiggen.
Imbiggen the smallest man.
Okay.
This is an action to break free.
Yeah. All right.
You get advantage and an extra D4.
I rolled 13s on both dice.
Okay, hey, 13's good, it's above 10.
Double digits.
Yeah, I don't know what that's like.
Strengths check.
Strengths check.
Well, Athletics check.
You rolled a 13 of all of your dice combined.
13 rounds, yeah.
So 15, 25 total.
25 total, you break free of this thing
and the flight kind of keeping you aloft as this white stormlight.
Stormlight archives, baby.
Hell yeah.
Kaladin, baby.
Kaladin, my boy.
Can I then use my last turn of flight to fight back to the storm chaser?
You can. It'll be an attack of opportunity.
Yeah, bring it.
Oh, God.
Ooh.
20 to hit?
No, it doesn't hit.
It doesn't hit.
It just narrowly misses.
Because don't forget,
if that had hit you,
it would have grappled you again.
So as you kind of zoom back,
the Kraken tries to take a swing
and grab you just before you leave its reach.
You manage to pull back behind your Handrius.
And then you end your
turn on the ship, yes?
Yeah, can I bonus action activate Aura of Vitality?
Yes.
I would like to do that, please.
Absolutely, because your enlarge is not a spell technically, so part of the matrix.
Yeah.
All right, what does Aura of Vitality do?
So it wouldn't be this turn, but next turn I could use a bonus action to give 2d6 healing
to someone.
Oh, that's an action to do.
It's a bonus action for me. But it's a bonus action to give someone else healing,
so I'd do it next turn.
Wait, so you've done your Leviathan, Titan thing.
Don't worry about it. It's fine.
At the end of your turn, Sentry, because you are still in the red mist,
I need you to make another constitution saving throw, please.
It's at the end of your turn.
Uh, 16... 15.
15 totem, you're going to take 16 poison damage.
So if you have any resistance, you can half it.
The aura concentration, no.
Aura?
Oh.
What you just did.
Quill, you're up next then, Lucius.
It is.
Concentration.
It is.
So DC 10.
14.
You're fine.
You're fine.
All right, Quill.
Why are you doing this now?
I'm gonna do my mask Masculine Wounds.
Okie dokie.
I'm going to do this at 6th level.
So it's going to be 48 to... is it everyone? No it's not, is it?
It's 6 creatures.
6 creatures. Who are you picking?
Lucy.
Lucius?
Goosey.
I don't know who that is.
Oh.
Myself.
Quill? That's Go. Oh. Myself. Quilt.
That's Goosey.
Makes sense.
Yeah.
Danica.
Danica.
Max is doing...
Max is okay, actually. Yeah, I forgot to add a little bit of damage he took last time.
I think Danica's pretty bad.
Yeah, Danica's not looking great.
Danica's on the list.
And Protector's pretty bad.
Protector is very bad.
Protector is... Oh yeah, Protector. Yeah, it's pretty bad. Protector is very bad. Protector is...
Protector.
Yeah, it's flashing red.
Protector.
I'll take some heal.
I'll take some little heal.
I don't know.
Sure, I'll give you that or I guess the crew.
Sentry doesn't usually say, I'll take some heal.
If Sentry is saying, I'll take some heal, then Sentry, and then one more can go to...
Wolfpack?
Oh yeah.
Can you hear one member?
One member of the Wolfpack?
Sure.
Yep.
Okay.
Let's say...
Geoff.
Sure.
Geoff gets it.
Which one?
You need him for what?
Oh, that's good.
And then we roll.
Oh, he must be dead.
Oh, that's gonna be really sad.
Yeah, we lost a whole bunch recently.
Oh, that's depressing.
Who did we lose, Tom?
Nigel.
Don't interrupt him, he's gotta do this.
I need this first.
Haskell, Nigel, and Bob.
That's interesting, the dice are floating.
Okay, here we go.
It's a, holy shit, that's a 30.
What level was that spell?
Six.
Okay.
But it was a very good roll.
That was really good.
48. Back up. Basically full good roll. That was really good. 48.
Back up.
Basically full health.
You're ready to go.
I mean, you're actually not far off, right?
Like 30 is like a third of your health.
Quarter.
Oh, okay.
All right.
Whereas it's like a tenth of Aayla's.
So Quill.
338.
You let out these waves of healing.
You see many of your
allies kind of
reinvigorated
as this kind of thing.
Anything else on your turn?
Movement and bonus action.
I am going to...
Imagine that this mist
is still sticking
with the Storm Chaser.
On the Storm Chaser's turn
it may be able to get
away from the mist.
We're going to roll
to see if Aayla's able to...
It does seem like
it is moving,
like the Kraken is able
to maneuver it a little bit,
but it is going to follow you.
So is there anywhere on the deck of the ship that is...
I'm just going to stay pretty much central then to try and hit anyone.
No, but I do have a question.
Do I actually still have Elder Quill?
Yes.
Okay, cool.
Then that's my turn.
The spear was a vessel to get rams to be.
That has been used.
All right, that's unfortunately another con save at the end of your turn for the red mist.
Okay.
That's like four, yeah, billion.
No, 21.
21?
What, centuries?
Yeah.
21 is still not enough. That's 16 points of damage.
Wow.
So, halved because of...
I'm guessing it's more of a Hadar thing.
It's very tough, yeah, the DC is quite high.
Lucius, you are up.
I am up.
I go prone to standing.
Yep.
You're on the deck.
You were in my arms, though.
Quill.
I pat your butt. You're on the deck. You were in my arms, though. Queer.
I like to pat your butt.
Oh!
Give those fan artists what they want.
That's my turn.
Processing emotions.
My entire action to just go, ooh!
Oh!
Feeling complicated things.
I'm going to...
Go get him, tiger.
Apologies.
That's all right.
A lot of stuff going on.
Chromatic Orb.
At the crack on.
At the crack on.
Mm-hmm.
Fifth level.
Okay. Twenty-nine. crack on fifth level okay

78 what type of damage i'm going to go with it doesn't matter you actually unless it's immune it doesn't matter 18
what 18 damage yeah 18 points. Just 18? 18?
Did you see any 1s in there?
Yeah, I was turning the 1s into 2s.
I rolled a 1, 1, 3, 2, 4.
Fucking hell.
So it turned those to 2s, I guess.
Yeah, it did.
Oh, yeah.
Pretty brutal.
The ice does shatter against the creature.
It does cause it to stumble for a minute,
but it roars to finally its big beak opening.
And you see that when it opens its giant beak,
inside its mouth are thousands of tiny, smaller mouths.
Oh!
Oh!
Get that Dicromancy into there for 10 points of ice.
Ooh!
Ooh!
Bone section. Oh, that's an action. 10 points of ice ooh ooh ooh ah bonus action
oh that's an action
nevermind
alright
think about if you want to do
any bonus actions
I will
meanwhile
I'm going to have a crack and go
have a crack and add it
as it does not have
sentry grappled anymore
that's the episode title
it's not going to try and bite
and eat sentry
instead it's going to do
the one thing it can do
which is going to make
three tentacle attacks against your Hendryus bring it it's gonna do the one thing it can do, which is gonna make three tentacle attacks
against your Hendryos.
Ring it.
27 to hit on the first one.
That is a hit.
28 on the second one.
That also does a hit.
Where's your AC?
20.
Okay.
24 on the last one.
Oh yeah, I guess that'll take it.
It's gonna be 60 bludgeoning damage
because it's all three attacks.
Ooh.
Ooh, baby.
That's a lot of damage.
It slaps.
It just slams into you.
At the end of the Kraken's turn, the mist dissipates.
Oh.
Was I meant to do a...
At the end of your turn, yes, please, Constitution.
Thank you very much for reminding me.
15, 16.
That's a success, no, sorry, not success.
That's not success.
You take 16 poison damage.
Sorry, that was a massive failure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's because in my head it was 16 poison damage. So I was like, do you see 16? No, so 16 poison damage. Sorry, that was a massive failure. It's because in my head it was 16 poison damage.
So I was like, do you see 16?
No, so 16 poison damage.
But the mist does seem to dissipate
at the end of the Kraken's turn.
That mist kind of evaporates away and dissipates.
Am I like super grappled?
Oh yeah, it's got like three tentacles
wrapped around you.
I'm like shabaried.
Yeah.
Okay.
It is wrapped around you.
Okie dokie.
In that case,
I'm checking the time
before we jump over.
We have...
So Max and Protector
have got their turns.
They're pretty much going to be
either healing or protecting people.
Sure.
We are going to take a break
and when we come back to it,
we'll jump over to our
infiltration team
to continue the infiltration
of the family.
All right.
Hell yeah.
See you in five minutes.
Everybody see you in part two.
Bye-bye. Bye. of the family alright I'll see you in five minutes everybody see you in part two bye bye bye
