Dungeons and Dragons! So... We come back to the group of you. The airship, the Storm Chaser, is basically making its way across the Hawkstone Archipelago, a series of islands that is just off the coast of the continent of Voxar, which you have visited

before. And you see on the airship as it comes down between the clouds, you can see distinctly there are kind of like three majorly populated islands, or not majorly, they're quite sparsely populated islands, with a fourth closest towards Volcanos. A couple of places of note, you can see a few castles and a few villages on the coast and things like that. But what catches your attention is in the middle of all of these islands, you can see basically what is a giant migrant fleet,

a series, like a flotilla. You see a series of boats that have all been lashed together by planks and you know boards and things like that and on them like it's number of boats have all been like stitched together and then a town has been built on the boats so it's like a giant floating town basically um all these different like little houses and like little um shacks have all been built, and then the sails are all scattered around. But it seems to be fairly anchored, so it doesn't seem to be sailing around.

It's just kind of floating on the ocean. And most of the vessels look to be orcish in nature, so they actually look like orc vessels mainly. Sweet. But the airship travels over that um and heads towards uh the leftmost island to basically what is a giant stonewalled port city um it has elements of like if i was to describe it there the buildings here look almost venetian um with little elements of like spanish villas on the outskirts and along the walls and things like that.

There are a few tall towers. There is one rocky outcropping that stretches out away from the city over the sea, and there appears to be a temple with a giant statue of an orcish woman out the front of it, and she's holding a trident. But the rest of the city, yeah, it's quite brightly colourful. You can see that there's um there's a lot of brightly colored dyes and glazes um lots of clay tiles on the roofs have been colored in different color like all different colors so there's these you know beautiful

buildings that are almost like mosaics of color um with all these different painted murals around and things like that um open plazas with little fountains and vin and like you know trellises with crawling ivy there's a very distinctly you know if if i was to translate it into real world elements like a mediterranean like venetian kind of spanish vibe to it um yeah and one of the tallest towers has a large wooden platform and um is clearly a dock for airships. There are no other airships docked there currently. But as you begin approaching the slow kind of approach towards this circular platform,

you can see that there are dozens of humans and dwarves and orcs all kind of like calling out like, Hey, come closer, come closer. And then they begin throwing out like and hooks, and the wolf pack take them in and they start attaching them to the ship as well, as it's basically brought in to dock. Kamara and the wolf pack lower down an actual gangway as you are basically

now free to disembark. There is a rather portly-looking dwarven gentleman who is at the top of the tower in a small little basically like a little stone booth and it's basically facing towards you

as you come off of the docks basically and you can see he's got very long wavy hair his beard has been very neatly plaited and braided and he has a very large hat big thick kind of suede coat. And he is sweating

because this temperate is very, it's very temperate and warm here. And you can see he's like mopping his brow. He's got like a handkerchief as you kind of all step off. And a few of the dock workers are like, ah, yes, go and speak to the dock master. Speak to the dock master

as they kind of like ush you off. Okay. Okay. Remember everybody. Inconspicuous. What does that mean? What? Good. Nice. Don't make too much fuss.

Don't bring attention to us. Don't do what we normally do every time we go to a new place. Let's just relax. Let's just get everyone refreshed and then we can be on our way. No problems. Gather supplies.

Excuse us, sir. Excuse us. Which one of you is the captain of this vessel? That would be me. Hello, dockmaster. Greetings, sir. How long are you going to be staying? Not very long at all.

You can see, like, as he waves waves you off he's already reaching into he has like a kind of like a box filled with like straw and on top of the straw is loads of ice and there is a bottle of some sort of alcohol in it he pours it out uncorks and pours himself a very large glass of wine and then puts it back in and it like, oh, my Zephyr is so hot. As you begin making your way there.

Do you know where we could go in Porta Sovrano? The best place for our crew to stay or for us to stay? Oh, my goodness, sir. There's a few places. What are you looking for? He kind of looks over at you, sees Lucius. He's like, well, if you want somewhere nice to stay the Silk Maiden is quite good

he sees Aayla If you're looking for somewhere a little more robust, I recommend the Devil's Dance Devil's Dance Oh my god, I want to go there Is that all, Sari?

That's all, thank you. You can go back. You can return. Well, I assume we're not going to Devil's Dance. That sounds absolutely awful. He said robust. Robust is not a negative word. Robust is fine. Let's try it.

to go. So I think while you guys are having this discussion, Kamara has been on the deck sorting out rotors of rotations and about three, no, I'd say four of the wolf pack and Howard and Lansian are all coming off and the wolf pack

are literally bouncing up and down and they're like, yeah! They're just like, you can see them all holding bags of gold which is obviously their... Don't forget, three days

and fighting fit and ready to get back to work on the ship. Yeah, yeah, Captain! Yeah, yeah! Have fun! Wait, wait, wait. Captain orders. Have a bloody good time, okay? Yay!

He's just kind of cheering. Howard is just like, oh, I've never been to this place before. This sounds very exciting. I'm going to go and see what food they've got around here. Oh, I wonder what they serve. And he's like, chatting off. Lansian's just like, you're always thinking about food. He's like, food's the best thing in the world. Don't know what you're

complaining about. Come on, Lansian. And the two of them sort of begin making their way downstairs. And you can see Lansian is kind of overwhelmed. You don't know if he's been in a city on his own before. He's just kind of looking around like, Howard, what's that? Howard, what's that?

Howard's just kind of taking it. He's like, I don't know, let's go find out! And he's like... But Howard seems quite seasoned. Yeah, you can go see how they're getting on. I might go and check in, yeah, in a little bit. I'll give him a couple hours. Okay.

Well, yeah, where do you guys want to go? This isn't really a city that I don't think any of you have any real personal experience with, so you don't really know what's here. So what do you guys want to do? Being a messenger, do i know much about at least hawkstone like all of these other places nearby yeah i'd say that you know you know about the places but you don't know the culture and like the specifics of the city like you know that the

hawkstone archipelago i'll tell you what you know the hawkstone archipelago um it's it's quite wealthy um the i the islands here have very rich soil. It's like, you know, quite... There's elements of volcanic soil here, which makes it very good for growing fruits and vegetables and things like that. There's also quite a big cotton and silk trade that comes from here as well.

And there's lots of dyes as well. So it's quite a wealthy area. Porta Sovr um is the largest city it's the wealthiest city it's where most of the trade happens um but there are some smaller villages and some settlements as well uh navalonda is basically uh navalonde is a collection of orcish fleets that have been brought together in a coalition to kind of found a floating town. And it's kind of just a place that a lot of orcs tend to

go to trade goods and share information with each other. Okay. There is a, you know, I think that Quill would probably have heard about, the only other place that you know in detail would be the Vintare Solorenzi,

which is basically the sisterhood of the vineyard, which is a collection of monks or nuns of Sejana that brew the best wine in Eros. Ooh! So does Lucius know about that?

Probably. I think that his family might have had a couple of bottles of the Solorenze vineyards. Okay. It's a very well-regarded wine name.

And it's probably notable because it's literally run by a nunnery of Sayana, basically. That's really cool. Okay, cool. Yeah, in terms of what we're doing... Specifics of the city. In terms of what we're doing while

we're here, I should probably do my job as a quartermaster and manage stock and oversee supply refills and things like that so i don't know uh well that's in the i think that's i put that in the airship information but i believe it's 300 gold to restock the ship and pay the wages i think okay i'll check fair enough carry on do something else while i check and this is like this is literally buying

things like food water uh buying things like spare equipment like ropes and planks you've used quite a lot of it in the repairs on the ship before so yeah and also paying wages as well like this is like paying the wolf pack their wage and stuff like that right um if you pay them more if you decide to basically be like hey wolf pack you're getting a raise you can increase their morale because they'll they'll be happier if you pay them more it might not be a nation it might have been stuff i said i went to trot a lot a long time ago so i'll check it but i believe it's about 300 gold per month, basically. Is there a notice board where we park the airship

of people looking to find a crew or anything like that, or people just sitting around like, hey, I'm a 20th level wizard. Need me? Yes, teleportation circles. For free. No. Hey, I'm a 20th level wizard. Need me? Yes! Teleportation circles. For free! No.

You get the sense, I will tell you now, that you probably want to find people that you like and think will be useful and then encourage them to come join your crew. Okay. Okay. Wilkie. We'll find him in the tavern,

sat in the corner with their mysterious stories you're breached today don't know why I said daddy carry on well I'm leaving him to it this is on you guys really so

I'll probably go to a blacksmith. Oh, I'm coming with! Yeah? I need to do that. Yeah. I mean, finding a blacksmith is easy as pie. This whole town, you can see it's kind of split into tiers.

You have the upper tier, which is the highest up, like the further away from the sea you get the more rich the area is um the middle part of the city is a more middle class and then um the lower part of the city is where you kind of get like the poorer districts and things like that um all three of them will have blacksmiths of different skill levels and of the quality of goods that they can sell and the amount of money they have to buy goods as well.

I'm guessing Century is looking for somebody to help fix up Herald. And then Nova, you're looking for the project. Somebody to help you on the project. It really depends on how much money you guys are looking to spend.

How much money do we actually have to spend. And, yeah. How much money do we actually have? That's a good question, isn't it? As a question. We currently have 855 gold, 300 silver, and I also have 300 GP of ethereum and a statuette of Starbane, which I'm sure we could just, like, you know, flog somewhere. Did you need that? I think you need that Ethereum, though, Kim, for project.

You would be correct. Yes. Don't forget, you can also, if you have things like magic items you want to sell, big cities are the places that you can do that. Yeah, I've got a couple of bits. I've given all my stuff away.

It was exhaustion Yeah I've still got all my questions i think we're actually party wise supply wise i think we're actually still good from from um so i don't think we need that do we want to look for any see if they did any feather fall token oh it's not an action yeah no so more you can ask i mean this is i will make i will make it clear just so you guys know right this is i consider this this is what i consider a major city um which means that this is a place you can buy and sell magic items that you can find work like if you want to fight if you you think that you need a bit of a cash boost, and

you just want to go and find, like, some easy jobs or, like, bounties, this is a place you can do that as well. This is a place you can perform research. This is a place where if you want to do things like religious, you want to go and, like, visit religious temples and, you know,

commune with the gods and things like that this is all a place that you can do that um if you've got magic items to sell you're going to need to go and find specific like a proper trader that will actually buy them like a regular blacksmith probably isn't going to buy a magic item off of you because they're not going to have the money to do that um but something like and you've met like companies like it before like you've been to like the magic empor that. But something like, and you've met companies like it before, like you've been to the Magic Emporiums and stuff, like the larger trading companies, they'll buy

them for sure. And then yeah, you're going to need somewhere to sleep for the night as well. Yeah, I also have the sequester spell scroll. You do? That is a very potent worth a ton. What does that do again?

It's the sequester spell. A winning creature or an object can be hidden away, safe from detection for the duration. They become invisible, can't be targeted by any spells, or, like, divination, or scrying, or anything. They become suspended. Time ceases to flow. They don't grow older.

It's basically like suspended animation. It's suspended animation, basically. Oh, okay. Yeah, but she'd be safe. I've got a better idea. Sleeping beauty spell. Could we compress it down

to a machine that gives this ship an invisibility cloak? Maybe. Ooh, deflect your shield. That scroll alone. You cannot use that scroll to do that. If you want to hire

a master enchanter to come up with some sort of device that will make the ship invisible, you could look into that. He's hiring a new specialist, yeah. Of course you can. That would be amazing. Absolutely.

I guess we need to meet some specialists and then convince them to come to the ship, right? And it won't be cheap. So let's go to the most expensive place on the island. On the sea, sorry. Let's work our way down. Start at the top. The Silk Maiden.

Yeah. The Silk Maiden. Shall we head there? I feel like Lucius isn't going to go for another option because the words Silk Maiden make it sound like exactly the kind of place that he would want to stay in. The devil's dance is not even on my radar.

It's like I've assumed we're all checking in at the Silver Maiden and Nova, is it what roughly? I'm not sure about hotel pricings. I keep getting it wrong. A thousand gold an hour or something like that. It's been such a long time since we've been in a hotel.

I don't know. I don't know. Well, we'll do this in order because Century and Nova specifically wanted to go find a blacksmith and then this sparked the whole conversation so do you guys want to do that first go with them and you can all go together okay sure blacksmith right so yeah do you want to go to a basically an upper middle or lower tier blacksmith we'll work our way down middle or lower tier blacksmith?

will also have a level of secrecy where we can sell the Starbane statue, too. Yeah. We're not going to sell the Starbane statue. Or maybe they're like a secret starbane worshiper like yeah we can go around saying hail starbane to people yeah i'm sure this will work out fine can i say it to the dragon where's the dragon let me just go do that to the dragon hold on well uh when you go into the upper district of the city the main blacksmith that you find your way to is

it's called the Blackened Scale and it is a very quite fancy run blacksmith. You can see it has a very ornate shop front and it has the image of a black dragon like sailing over an anvil. And you can see there is

a big cloud of like steam or smoke kind of coming out of a back chimney it's being angled away from the other buildings and when you step inside you can see that there are a lot of attendants like staff members in sort of like very smart uniforms on a kind of front of house where there are these racks of gleaming great swords and war hammers and short swords bows pieces of armor on armor racks, like glistening full-plated armor, breastplate chainmail.

And one of them is just a young human lad comes up to you. Good evening, good evening, masters. How can I help you today? Good evening. I'm Sentinel Prime. Nice to meet you uh pleasure to meet you guardian as well um is there something we can help you with i'm on a really important really important

mission um i need someone who could make me an arm and a leg for for a for a guardian like myself. Ah, that does explain a few things. But not quite as seven feet tall, just for clarity. No, not quite as tall. I am going to go fetch the master. I think that she will need to discuss this with you. This sounds like a very complicated

Okay. uh procedure this is where what's the custom custom project uh and he had yeah bespoke thank you uh he heads out to the kind of back area he like lifts up a small you know um part of the the counter and steps into a back room and you can hear kind of mutterings um and then emerging he doesn't come back instead this like six and a half feet tall super muscular like really broad barreled chested dragonborn woman comes out the only reason the only reason that you can tell that is a dragonborn uh woman is well not that it's dragonball you can tell it's a woman just because she has this um very elaborate set of jewelry kind of all around her chest um and her frills

are slightly more softer and curved rather than being harsh but she's black scaled so she has like black scales as dragonborn um and she kind of like comes out she has like a loose shirt on and then a pair of like um uh trousers with a thick leather apron over the front. But her arms are on... She hasn't got any gloves on. She just has these thick scales. And she comes out like, Ah!

You are the guardian who is requesting this custom project, yes? Yes, I am, yes. Ah, nice to meet you. And she offers a big scaled hand. I shake it. I saying i'm sentinel prime uh maestro maestro acra at your service sentinel mr acra lovely to meet uh i you want to my my assistant was um a little shaken by the details you want somebody to make a arm for a guardian an arm and a leg for a guardian?

Yes. I have a companion who was gravely injured, and I need them to help me carry out some work. But obviously they can't do that when they're missing an arm and a leg. Yes, obviously. An interesting project. I quite like having unique challenges, I must

say. This is definitely something that i could do i would need your companion to come by for measurements we need to make sure that we fit something which is going to be comfortable but also will allow them to function as normal if you have a if you hire a quite frankly if you don't hire a skilled blacksmith, this could be more trouble than it's worth for your friend. Okay. Could you give me an idea of the timescale? We're only here for a few days.

Well, normally this sort of thing would take at least a week. I could rush the job, but that will just cost more. But it's doable. I can drop some other projects I have on them. You know, I have some projects I can put to the side for the moment, but I would need to make this a rush order. How big is this guardian?

Are they small, or are they your size, or smaller? They're smaller than myself. They're more svelte. They're not as heavily built as myself. That will make things cheaper. I could make something. It would probably cost around... The raw materials, you're looking at about 100 gold, and then I'd probably take that per limb, and then say 50 gold for the rush job of my time, so 250 I could do this for. They will be... It won't be a functioning hand. I can't make a functioning

hand. It would be a prosthetic, effectively. They would be able to perhaps grip something but not have any fine motor control. Okay. I think that will work. Or I could affix a blade to it is this companion a warrior

or they're more of a messenger but the blade would help that would actually make things easier in a way or at least it would be more functional

exactly open letters better yeah what about this every every guardian blade in a letter opener what about the wing every well they can use it carefully that's true do you need a wing for this guardian she had a wing she did have a wing very true that's unfortunately going to be a little bit on my that might be a bit beyond my skill

I know your kind are a mystery to most of us I don't know how many of your functions operate I can make a basic prosthetic, but a wing is a bit too complicated. If we had to spend money on a wing, we'd put it on Quill first. That's very true.

So, Project Flock Together was basically I was trying to figure out how to give you a fully functioning wing. And I'm kind of maybe halfway through the project, but that's why I wanted to see a

blacksmith too. Hi. I need some help with the leather working, but I think that maybe once I finish this project, I could maybe construct, you know, apply what I learned here and make something functional for Harold as well. I mean, that's your business. I can't really advise you on that. If you need the assistance of a leather

worker, I can do it. It's not my speciality. I mainly work in metal, but I can recommend you a few people if you wish. Oh, sorry. I need a blacksmith as well. I do need a blacksmith. Sorry. Leather working is the other thing. Right. Any metal work, I can accomplish.

What sort of nature of the job is it just uh uh so i have schematics do you have a plan schematics yeah yeah she looks over that schematics and things like that and then yeah quill's gonna and i think yeah right maybe just jump ahead a little bit like if i just kind of go through where i am now and blah blah blah and like because all i know in my notes is that i need a blacksmith check yeah you do you need you need her to make a check so she looks is like this is this is quite good this is actually clever stuff i'll tell you what i'll make i'll i'll work on this for you but if you i want a copy of these schematics if you don't mind if you make a copy if you make me a copy of these schematics then i'll do i'll just do the work for you. Okay, yeah, thank you. Deal.

But the friend's limbs will still cost because that's raw materials and more of my time. This was a quick job. Cool. Is it going to cost us an arm and a leg? I've already given the price. I appreciate the joke, but I've given the price.

It warrants a couple of limbs in return you know here's maybe all the lights back sorry you sacrificed your limbs here are limbs for you thank you you sacrificed all the guardians like um yes whatever you're happy with it's a small cost for a massive step to saving the guardian race he's offered to help me she's offered to help me fulfill my purpose with the prime matrix see in which case another reason without her i couldn't

Yeah, there's not much more a blacksmith can do to this. If you want to make it, if you want to get it enchanted, I recommend you go and see Vistra. Vistra. Vistra. She runs the local Dalegeld trading company outpost. She's an

ember elf, or they're an ember elf, I should say. Very good enchanter. Knows their way around magical enchantments. Great. Have you seen anyone with any armor or anything? Of course I've got armor. Better armor?

I mean, I've got as good armor as I can get without it being heavy armor. Or enchantment. Just check it. I was thinking you could maybe put another hammerhead on the other end. Of my hammer.

Throw the balance off. Or two hammers. You can't really get the power in the swing that way. You know? Obviously, yes. Trust your friend. She knows what she's talking about.

Could you make full plate armor that's as light as a feather and doesn't inhibit my spellcasting in any way? I can make full plate armor. I can make it lighter than some other. I can make it lighter than steel, but she kind of looks you over and it's like, well, actually, maybe you could wear it, but wearing armor is just not about the weight. You need to be

trained in how to wear it properly. You're not much of a... You don't seem the type who's ever learned how to wear a suit of armor. Ghastly things makes you so sweaty. Exactly. Also, if you learn how to
