See in store or joefresh.com for details. Hello and welcome back to Eroes Hyrolis.
The party have traveled to the ancient temple of Hesper,
within the Valley of the Storms on the continent of Voxar,
in pursuit of resolving the terrible storms that plagued the land there,
and acquiring a powerful tool in their battle against Calus Starbane and Hadar.
Accompanied by the mysterious Johan, a figure
who had appeared to be connected to the party's quest and had assisted them several times before,
they made their way through a magical storm and managed to reach the temple in one piece,
learning that the cause of the storms was a powerful tempest dragon, a primordial being
that had been attacked centuries ago and driven into a mad, nightmarish coma.
Overcoming obstacles and intense trials,
the party prepared to enter the Inner Sanctum,
but were approached by a female figure,
a projection of Zarkira, commander of the Valkyrian Empire
and cause of the Tempest Dragon's suffering.
Zarkira offered a way to kill the Tempest Dragon,
as well as a way to complete her control spell,
threatening the party if they didn't do as she had requested.
The party refused, and told Zarkira if she wanted the dragon, she would have to come and deal with it herself.
Inside the Inner Sanctum, the party found the mighty Tempest Dragon near to breaking free of the chains that bound it,
and quickly began to cleanse the corrupting magic that plagued its mind johan able to enter the dragon's dream along with ayla nova and lucius
slew nightmare creatures while sentry and quill healed the corrupted magic and removed zarkira's
devices free of the nightmares and the corruption their friend johan bid them farewell and vanished
his essence becoming one with the dragons as it revealed it was called Johandrius
and presented Quill with a powerful spear,
the Spear of Oracles,
and a promise to aid the party when called.
When will you fucking mute yourselves
when you are laughing and I'm trying to do the recap?
Like, just mute.
Just mute yourself.
The whole time.
Oh my god. Just mute. It! Just mute Gazelle! The whole time! Oh my god!
Just mute.
It was a sneeze.
Trot's laughing, he's kept it under control.
It was so aggressive!
Sneeze, by the way.
It was Trot.
It was Trot.
It was Trot.
You know, the best thing about that was, in the days of like, fuck I'm gonna sneeze,
I was fumbling for the mute button
I just couldn't do it
I couldn't do it and I sneezed and slipped
that's fine
like sneezing you don't have any control over
that's fine
if you know you're laughing mute
I was debilitated
okay
I couldn't see
couldn't think couldn't breathe
he couldn't do anything today
normally it was such a long intro because we've had a break as well me one of these
days we're gonna have an intro well i haven't cry laughed my eye makeup off within the first 10 minutes.
I've given up just wearing eye makeup on the reg.
I know, there's no point.
I can't do it anymore.
I made such an effort and every week I just cry laugh it off within the first 10, 15 minutes.
There's no point.
Exactly.
Anyway, something about your hand, Rius?
Yeah, there you go
something something dragon
something something Zarkira something something spear
Quill's awesome
job done there you go
yeah that's how I remember it
yeah
with that I believe that with the last
before the Christmas special we left things
off literally with
the dragon disappearing in Quill
picking up the spear. And so you guys
are still within the inner sanctum.
This large, open
chamber, almost like a large
cylinder, like an open
tower that just stretches up for miles.
And you guys were left in there
with just yourselves for company.
No sign of Johan or Johandrius both having vanished.
And the spear firmly in Quill's clutches.
We did it! We completed Hesper's trial!
Finally!
Oh, he really pulled out all the stops.
Well, Zarkira did, I suppose.
But we saved the dragon! Zarkira is going to hate us, by the stops. Well, Zarkira did, I suppose. But we saved the dragon!
Zarkira is going to hate us, by the way.
So what do we do? I think we need to
get out of here pretty much ASAP.
Right?
Yeah, we need to make a plan.
We need to figure out where to go next, what to do next.
There's a lot.
When's the meeting? Is that
soon, isn't it?
If I could not be a lightning rod again, because now
the dragon is saying
horrific news, because
honestly, I have been
mentally trying to prepare myself
to become a human
lightning rod again
for a while. Elvin.
Elvin lightning rod, thank you, Nova.
For a while.
I don't want to do it again. It was sore Lightning Rod, thank you. Nova, for a while.
I don't want to do it again.
It was sore.
It hurt real bad.
Miskir should be cleansed of lightning,
so that's that.
We should have actually saved an entire continent from vicious storms,
if there's anything left saving, that is.
So it should be clear.
But that does mean that horses are able to come
in and get us straight away they don't have a storm to get through anymore that's very true
we should probably probably get a move on right yeah to answer your question from earlier century
uh based on the the times that when you sort of of left to make your way to the Valley of Storms
and the meeting and things like that, there's probably about
ten days before
the leaders of Eroes meet in
the Sky City of Horizon.
Okie dokie.
Why didn't you tell us?
What? That he was
a dragon? That he was comatose
that he was trapped by Zarkira
I mean
I don't think he remembered
yeah I mean if he remembered
surely he would have told us
because that would have made things
ten times easier to not be
questioning him in any way
so
it's just a shame you know not be questioning him in any way.
It's just a shame,
you know?
That's kind of badass. He's a
dragon.
He is a dragon.
That's pretty damn cool.
Well, more to the point, he's a spear
now. This spear.
Yes. What?
So is that
yours now?
It seems
yeah, I mean
it's a gift from him
for saving him, I suppose.
I mean, I don't know what sort of
powers that encompasses, but
either way
the Temple of Hesper is saved and
Myrskir is saved.
Well, we need to go outside and see it first, of course.
But if there's just ten days before this meeting,
our plan was to get Valda back before then, right?
We're running out of time.
So what do we do?
We have a huge list of things to do, but perhaps it would be best to discuss this on the Stormchaser.
I'd feel safer there, yes.
Even though this is a place of worship in Hesper,
it's got a lot of eyes on it.
Well, let's go.
Let's go back.
Okay.
Make your way back through the corridors uh through back through the ruined temple of hespa where there is now just a kind of before there was always this rumbling
thunder from outside kind of filling the chamber with this ambient noise that is no longer present your footsteps crunch on ancient stone and echo through these
empty barren hallways you pass by the statues of the previous uh important figures in the temple's
history including lucius's ancestor and phaedrus who you had encountered during your trial. Their stony visages looking at you almost with a sense of,
you can almost feel a sense of pride,
but also there is a sense of time and passing
and of a place that has now fallen into ruin,
into a kind of quiet ending of its purpose and life
as you make your way back through the temple.
What little light there is streaming in from the occasional kind of shaft that's been cut
to allow sunlight in is clear and bright, no longer clouded by the thick grey fogs that
had once filled Voxar.
by the thick grey fogs that had once filled Voxar.
And as you reach the large doors that extend outside,
stepping out into the light for probably the first time in a couple of days,
you can see that there appear to be blue skies, white clouds,
all signs of the terrible storms that had not just filled the valley,
but had grown to dominate Voxar itself.
Kelek, especially, this is the first time you've ever seen the valley without storms. You would have been raised from a hatchling.
This is a place of storms and power.
a hatchling uh that this is a place of of you know storms and power uh this was always part of the arakokra training to to reach here and fly back uh hmm could i um fly up to the statue
that's above the temple and retrieve the ring again sure yeah yeah with your new artificial
wing you fly away up there you can see that most of the
other rings that had been placed here had been blasted and fused together probably by lightning
itself um but the ring that you had brought the kind of uh scrap of metal and cloth um yeah you
uh every time he like takes off lucius is always like nudging the person closest to him and be like look
he's I'll never get used to that yeah I was gonna say as well Nova as well every
time will takes off kind of summer but also with a quill and a bit of parchment
just kind of like if he just like making modifications like how's he using it like this? Is there anything I can tweak?
What about a third wing?
I could do that.
A third wing.
I think that would be
maybe one down his back.
Yes.
Down the center like a fin.
Yeah.
Maybe if I adjust this
he could dive faster.
That's a great idea, Lucius.
dive faster um that's a great idea lucius as that conversation echoes through uh you can see that the valley itself stretches out before
you the temple was kind of built into the narrowing point of the valley that connects to the
mountains behind it um so you have these kind of long uh these tall kind of steep mountains on either side and
then you can see uh just very worn stony very little grass very little foliage valley kind of
stretches out mainly filled with like a kind of rubble and slate that's fallen down from the
mountains a small stream kind of trickles through it uh leading far off nestled onto a plateau near the temple's
entrance but it's still a good sort of hundred couple of hundred feet away um is the storm
chaser uh kind of perched with its uh bridge down its anchors down um waiting for your return
it seems to no damage or any harm seems to have come to it um in the calm of the storm
around the the eye itself.
Okay.
I mean, I'm assuming...
Otherwise, if you say nothing,
I will assume that you begin making your way back to the chip.
You just start traveling towards it, I assume.
Pretty much.
I was just giving anyone else some space if they wanted a moment.
Yeah.
I guess for Quill, it's the most important one.
Yeah, this temple of your god, or the being that gives you power at least,
kind of begins to fall you know into the background
behind you as you begin making your way along yeah i mean i'm thinking i that i know i need to
most likely come back here again for when we need to collect hesper's
key so i know he was the first on the list of people to ask um so i mean i i think as we're leaving the entire
place like i'm trying to shut down the winds so they can't get up to the higher tiers closing the
doors behind us like not barring it up or anything but just leaving it closing it empty and untouched
in a way okay yeah it doesn't take much.
The techniques you've seen, the ways to shut things off,
the wind chutes and the doors all get closed behind you
and leave a kind of sense of finality about the place.
When you do make your way up to the storm chaser,
the bridges are locked down and everybody starts loading their way up.
Quill is probably the last one onto the ship itself, kind of spent some time making sure everything was closed behind them
quill as you are boarding the storm chaser and it is only because of your exceedingly high
perception you really notice this as they're about maybe 300 feet away from the storm chaser uh you see a flash of magic and nine figures appear at the front of the
temple um eight of them are wearing black uh metal armor with purple glows uh carrying strange
looking crystalline weapons that resemble the rifles you've seen these kind of blasting arcane blasting rifles that
the valkyrian empire carries but at the head of them is a woman that you recognize a humanoid
ish woman with a pair of bladed metal wings long dark hair seems to be carrying some sort of
bladed staff and yeah they teleport into the the entrance to the like outside the doorways
leading into the temple um where the there was a valkyrian camp then when you first entered this
place it was like a discarded disused camp that i described and they teleport there uh they seem to
notice the airship uh calls are made and you see the humanoid women just turn around and just kind of grin.
You know, you can only barely make out her expression.
But you do with your very high, because you have the observant feet, right?
So you can read lips as well.
Oh, yeah.
Even at this distance, you can see that she basically mouths the words,
well, you did invite me.
What do you do?
She's here. It's our
Kira. We need to get out of here. Pretty much now
is good.
Okay.
Lucius will run on board and
start shouting at the crew and
Uriah to be like, we need to go
immediately.
Everyone ready?
Man the guns!
The crew does so. The crew begins making preparations. Quill, who can
just about see Zarkira and these
eight soldiers, the soldiers
begin levying rifles towards the ship
and we are going to
roll initiative.
Alright.
Zarkira and eight boys
versus an entire dang airship. I mean, at this stage initiative. Alright. Zarkira and eight boys versus
an entire dang airship.
I mean, at this stage, you're about
300 feet
away from each other at this point.
Because the ship was off to the side
of where the temple entrance was,
they are at the temple entrance.
It looks like Zarkira
most likely has teleported them to the place
that she could access
which was right in front of the temple um so there's a good bit of distance there um so you
may be able to escape uh as quickly as necessary uh i'm not gonna do this in uh dnd beyond encounter
because it's mainly gonna be a ship thing so i'm just gonna do people's initiative. Century. 20.
Be dead on?
Yep.
Now 20.
Nice.
21. 21.
Nova.
18.
18.
Lucius. 12. 12. Quill. 18. 18. Lucius.
12.
12.
Quill.
19.
15.
Rhiannon, can you roll a d20 for Oriah for me, please?
Of course.
So Oriah will basically be...
Oriah will represent the ship's movement.
So Oriah's initiative will basically be like when the ship can act.
Nice.
17 for Oriah.
17.
Oriah
slash Storm Chaser.
17.
And then
I will roll for
Sakura.
Okay.
We haven't long rested
since the last thing,
have we?
We have not.
Nope. Yeah. Yeah, okay. This is going to be scarier than I thought. We haven't long rested since the last thing, have we? We have not Nope
Yeah, okay
This is going to be scarier than I thought
A lot scarier
Oh no
Yeah
I mean, yeah
It's, it's, yeah
Potentially, we'll see
It's fine
It's just Arcea
It's fine
It's fine
So, we start with
I believe Aayla is actually at the top of 21.
I think what Ayla will do at the moment is probably just go around
and help doing any sort of heavy lifting,
any preparations that the airship crew needs help with to get away.
I don't know if that makes sense. She's going to assist
as much as she can and she'll probably
shout at them
in a vaguely
intimidating way
that they need to hurry up.
That sounds like you would like to make an intimidation
check then, please.
Sure.
Try and get the crew motivated and at least get them speeding up
as best they can uh 20 20 yeah so with those kind of bellowing shouts and kind of shouting
orders and to kind of just get people to pick the pace up uh the crew of the storm chaser um as a
reminder for any new audience members the storm chaser is the party's airship, and they have a crew.
They have a crew of kind of beast people,
the Wolf Pack, kind of wolf folks led by Kamara.
They have Penny, who is a kind of human sniper archer lady.
Lookout, who is a guardian.
Lansian, who is some sort of young sorcerer boy.
Howard, who is a halfling cook.
Grey Lano, who is the medic. And then oraya uh which is the half orc captain um previously riannon's temporary character uh and
yeah with those kind of shouts the wolf pack certainly get to work they begin sort of like
pulling out the the sky sails making sure everything's ready to go um and the the airship
is lifting off like the the ship is is making its move uh to try and
get away as quickly as possible um cool uh sentry um thanks somebody like the airship stats actually
sorry the century which somebody like the a refresher the airship things i will put them
into the whatsapp nice i think i've got engine actions but i don't know
if it's for the twin bow or for the storm chaser if it's on roll 20 i think that's for the twin
star i will yeah i will put the google link in our red phone you should all be able to access
that that's got stats it's got ship actions it's got pretty much everything for the airship there awesome got it all right sorry century go that's right um so i think century would uh go
to penny and help her or tell her to keep aim on zarkira and the starbane forces and just help her
keep focused on them okay so you're basically going to give the help action to penny uh to try and give her advantage on ballista attacks um yeah yeah so kind of like very star warsy you run over
to uh the the storm chaser has a ballista on the top and then a ballista kind of on the bottom like
a little swiveling bottom turret um and she will slide down the the ladder basically to reach that
one and then you're kind of leaning over shouting at her from that bottom
turret basically.
She's got an extra pair of eyes to help her aim.
Cool. Right, so Penny
has advantage on her attack. Quill,
what would you like to do?
So I want to
concentrate
a spell using the staff of
oracles.
Does that mean I cast a spell and use the staff at the
same time like how does it actually work it's just you can basically concentrate on two spells now so
it's all your still actions you still use all your normal actions and bonus actions etc you can now
concentrate on two spells if any effect would cause you to lose concentration uh you choose
which spell you lose um so if you take too much damage
and you fail the check,
you pick which spell you lose concentration of.
And then we assume that you maintain
concentration on the other one
until you either...
That's cool. In that case,
I'll summon Future Quill
from the staff
and have him concentrate
on Beacon of Hope
for everyone on the ship
or everyone on the deck of the ship.
Yeah, what's the range? Because the ship is quite large
so I don't know if it will catch everybody.
It's a range of 30 feet.
Okay, so...
Yeah, an area of 30 feet.
So you can choose.
You can either basically cover the deck
and the ballista or you can cover the helm
which is where like Oriya and some of the
sail crew are or you would have
to go below decks to try and catch things
like the engine room and stuff like that.
Because the ship is gargantuan.
It's a huge space, the ship.
You won't 30 foot radiuses and catch everyone unfortunately.
So if I do the helm, does that
still catch like the immediate party?
It'll catch some of the crew.
Well, Sentry
is up by the turret, so it won't count Sentry
with the Ballista. And if
Nova goes down to the engine room, obviously she
would move out of range a bit. But I don't know if it counts
like... Is it when you
cast the spell it affects Beacon of Hope, affects
people then? Or is it like a continuous
aura effect?
They don't have to stay in the aura i don't think i
concentrate on it but anything that's within range yeah okay so the party get it ariah gets it three
of the wolf pack get it um as would lancean uh the rest are all either in other parts of the ship or
aren't immediately available okay that's cool um and yeah i'll just uh stay stay pretty much where i am uh
with my future quill and staff staying at the helm so um in terms of the visuals for this by the way
quill focuses on the staff and you see like almost like a flicker of lightning like a flash of
lightning in the gemstone at its head and then a very spectral, translucent-looking version of Quill,
older, maybe like graying feathers,
dressed in these resplendent robes.
His scar has not necessarily healed, but has faded, and now almost gives him this more wizened warrior look.
His armor gleaming along with the robes in a matching style and he he looks
like an older version of like you know a high priest of quill uh a high priest of hesper that
you might imagine basically um i'm gonna look good right yeah yeah yeah a month from now yeah
what do you like five years uh yeah yeah the mechanical wing is all like still there and
um i the thing wing is still there.
The thing is, it's Quill's perception of himself,
so I don't think it would have any of your designs.
It would just match what he thinks.
Because it's not actually Quill from the future.
It's like a representation of what he can be in the future.
Okay, awesome.
That's it for Quill?
That's it, yeah.
Nova, you guys are all very, very quick to react as it looks like Zarkira and her forces are pointing
and getting their weapons ready
as all of this is happening at once.
Does it look like...
So they're 300 feet away.
Does it look like they're going to try and run towards us?
It looks more like they're going to shoot.
They're all carrying these Valkyrian
rifles, and
Zarkira is pointing at the ship.
Okay.
So they're about 300 feet
away.
Things like longbows,
a lot of ranged weapons will be
at disadvantage.
I'm going to try something a little weird,
but I'm going to try it anyway.
Can I
kind of
duck down on the deck
so they can't see me anymore,
shut my eyes, and then cast
Mislead?
So Mislead
basically makes me
invisible, and then creates an illusory double of myself. so mislead basically makes me invisible
and then creates
an illusory double of myself
and then
I can move
twice my speed with the double
so 60 feet
can I start making it
so that my double leaves
the ship, like very visibly
leaves the ship and comes back down and what i want to
do is try and control my double in a way that almost tries to distract them like i'm kind of
running back towards them like maybe draw some of their attention um also i can see and hear
through my doubles ears so maybe if i could get some i guess intel on how many they are
even if you move that 60 feet of 300,
you're not going to be really close enough to overhear anything too close.
But you can definitely summon them.
Yeah, you can summon them double and send them running towards you.
Yeah, I want to use it as a kind of distraction to try and, like, divert some of their attention away.
Like, maybe, you know, just be like,
oh, hey, I've decided to run back to the temple or something.
Or, like, into the, what is was it forest around us jungle around us there's no forest it's just
it's like a slate stone valley um so there's not really any cover or like apart from rocks uh here
and a small stream the only real feature is the temple itself which is behind them now. Can you make your clone high-five my clone as you go through?
Yeah, sure.
Cool, cool.
You can look like they do, yeah.
Clone bros, awesome.
Yeah.
All right, so keep in mind that to everybody else,
Nova appears to crouch down, stand up,
and then run off the ship towards Zarkira.
Oh, it misleads us too?
I'm sure people would have seen
me go invisible.
They would have seen me go invisible.
The way the spell is described is
the duplicate appears
from your space.
It's literally like, the idea is
that you step somewhere and
an illusory duplicate separates
from you, you become
invisible, so it looks like it's just the
same person. That's the whole point of the spell.
I mean, you could
just messenger ring to tell them.
Yeah,
I will messenger ring and say
I'm going to try something really stupid.
Don't worry, that's not actually me.
I'm still on the ship. Go, go, go, go, go, go,
go, go, go, go, go, go. go, go, go, go, go, go.
That's all it takes. You just need to tell them what you're doing. Otherwise, people like Lucius are going to go,
Thank you, because Aayla's 10 out of 10 would have jumped off the ship like,
Who are you doing?
Yeah, exactly. Teamwork. Communication. It's the big part of teamwork.
Cool. All right. So Nova rushes off. Fake Nova rushes off down towards it.
What about Nova?
Any movement for your part?
Me?
I'll just be...
So actual me will be just ducked down invisible behind.
So you're not going to go down to the engine room?
I guess as soon as we boarded...
Actually, yeah, I guess because I can move, can't I?
So I will go down to the engine room. I will, I So I will go down to the engine room
I will Mark I will go down to the engine room
I will do that
Yeah
So after Nova
Araya and the storm chaser crew
The storm chaser lifts up
And the kind of sky sails catch wind
And it begins pulling away
Rapidly
Moving in a quick acceleration about 100 feet.
So you're now about 400 feet away from the soldiers
as it begins basically flying off into the air
to try and get away as quickly as possible.
The crew all begin rushing to their stations.
Most of the crew aren't going to be able to fire now
as the ship is moving out of range.
They're going to be beyond longbow range.
But the ballista, Penny, is still going to make an attempt she'd normally be at disadvantage she has advantage
because of centuries help so it's just a straight roll to see if she can hit zarkira and she will
aim for zarkira uh it's a straight roll i rolled a two so the ballista bolt fine if you hear the
kind of snap of the crossbow of the large arms. The bolt flies through and embeds about 10 feet away from Zarkira in the ground.
Just kicks up a bunch of dust.
And she just kind of looks over it in disgust as it begins running around.
The rest of the crew will basically just await orders now
as they are out of combat range for themselves with their longbows.
So they will just move into position.
Unless anybody wishes to give them any orders?
Or, like, anybody wishes to, like,
shout at them? I know Ayla kind of shouted at them
to get the ship ready.
Okay, where's Lucius' go next?
Sweet.
Lucius is going to go
to the help of the longbows.
Okay.
Somebody correct me that his
long range is
Okay, she would like me to not do that
Yep, so have the crew fire their long goes basically
Sure
All that 20s Sarkira's dead Oh my god We did it
Out of 3 archers
1 has hit so far
Yay
Go 1
2 have hit out of 5
Let's go
Let's go wolf pack
2 more
So many shots Both back. Two more.
So many shots.
Go, go, go.
Right, three hit in total.
Nice.
They don't target Zarkira. They are just kind of shooting into the group of soldiers,
and the soldiers are going to be the ones who are mainly hit.
hit.
So it's about 20 damage to the soldiers, like, as a group.
So these arrows kind of
fly through the air. Most of them fall short,
but a few do kind of, like, embed into the
soldiers' armor, or some of the soldiers have
to kind of duck and cover as this kind
of rain of arrows kind of
scatters amongst them.
And then the ship pulls away, and then Lucius is now your turn.
Okay, yeah.
Lucius runs up to the helm, and he shouts full steam ahead,
which hopefully the crew are trained to know what that means.
Knuckle down.
We need to get out of here as quickly as possible.
Nova!
Messenger ring.
We need to give the engine everything she's got! We need to get
out of here quickly!
Okay.
With that, Nova,
I need you to make an Arcana check
on this.
DC 15.
I'm giving it all she's got!
I can't keep using that every single time.
I'm giving it all she's got, Captain!
12 plus 7 is 19 arcanas.
Fantastic.
Roll a d6 for me, please.
And then multiply the result by 5.
3 times 5 is 15, math.
Cool.
So it gets an extra 15 feet as the engine begins to kind of power up.
And the Ethereum engine roars to life um as yeah basically
you surge forward a little bit of extra speed as lucius finishes his sentence and does the salute
that jolt sends him stumbling he has to grip on to the helm yes keep going perfect uh the storm
chaser yeah rises like 100 feet into the air at a diagonal basically trying to get away
as much as possible uh quill who's pretty much the only one who can really see anything with any
clarity um back on the distance as zarkira is looking up almost just kind of watches the ship
for a moment uh holds her hand up she points uh she has three of the soldiers point at the Nova illusion running towards them.
She directs three of their attention to that,
and you can see the soldiers begin sighting Nova with their rifles.
But Zahkira then will basically begin casting a spell
and pointing towards the storm chaser.
Okay.
Okay, it's not my turn
She casts a spell
Any reactions?
I think Lucius is the only one
Who's on the top
No counter spells
I feel like I'm too far away to react to that.
Okay.
In that case,
you watch as she kind of reaches up
and you can see power
just kind of coming off Zarkira like mist,
like almost like raw mana, raw magic.
As she just rips her hands up into the air,
clutches them,
and then slams her hands down towards the ground.
Four
giant kind of tears in
space seem to open up above
the storm chaser, and giant
meteor-like shapes
begin
crashing down.
He's casting meteor!
I need
everybody
on the Stormchaser
to make a Dexterity saving throw.
So we'll do all of your Dexterity saving throws first.
Then I will have Rhiannon roll for Arias,
for Arias and the ships.
And then I will have to roll for all the NPCs.
Okay.
18.
19.
Natural 20. For me. So, uh...
So 19 for Ayla was that total? Did you do advantage for that, Katie, because of Danger Sense?
Yes. Yep.
Lucius I saw rolled a 6 century 13 total 13 uh century can you roll us
riannon can you roll for oraya um so i think she has a plus six i think 17 17 can you now make a roll for the ship as Araya, who is piloting the Stormchaser. This is a plus two.
Fourteen?
Fourteen. Okay.
Grey Larno, plus two.
That's a natural one.
Lansian.
That's a two, plus two is four.
Oh my god. Howard.
Nine minus one is an eight.
This is a terrible spell.
The Wolfpack gets seventeen. 9 minus 1 is an 8 the wolf pack gets 17
Kamara herself
gets 21
I think that's all of the
ship's crew oh Penny and Lookout
Penny is
a 12 Lookout is a
1 not very good
okay where is roll 20?
What?
What?
What?
Just meteors the ship?
God damn!
Why is there two?
So, these meteors,
two of them collide into the
storm chaser itself, covering
the whole thing. The other two are aimed so that into the storm chaser itself covering the whole thing the other two are aimed
so that if the storm chaser had swerved these ones would have hit it but orion manages to avoid them
and they instead smash into the mountains that form the valley on either side huge stone begins
crumbling and stumbling down in uh these two meteors from the spell meteor swarm smash into the storm chaser
every section of the storm chaser
and all of you, anybody who
got above a 20 can half
this damage, otherwise
Nova you are below decks aren't you
so you're in the engine room
okay so you're going to take half
of some of this damage as well as if you pass the saving throw
because it's obviously hitting the outside
and the top deck of the ship itself.
It's 62 fire damage
and 77 bludgeoning damage.
Right.
What is that?
Yeah.
That's absolutely no way.
Is everybody down, Dale?
Yep. Hell yeah.
I had 32 hit points.
What about your Tomb of Lovistas, Nova?
So Tomb of Lovistas, yeah, that would have gone off.
So Tomb will go off.
You won't believe this.
It's 69 damage I actually take, which is half of it,
and I have 68
HP.
You have 1 HP.
No, no, I've got minus 1. I'm down.
So it's both of those
together. 77 plus 62 that we
take. Well, so this is
the other thing. Anybody who has
resistances, so if you have
fire resistance or bludgeoning damage resistance,
that would come into it, because it's 62 fire damage, and resistance or bludgeoning damage resistance, that would come into it. Because it's 62 fire damage.
And then 77 bludgeoning damage.
What I could do is...
If people have reactions
as well. Potentially.
I'm not near anyone
to protect, so...
Can I try and absorb
some of that fire damage into my alternator gauntlet
as a reactions so i think that you have to use your chromatic control to turn it into
acid or cold right and then you can use the gauntlet to absorb it okay do you have the
sorcery point no because i think we changed it so it's like it's a reaction to chromatic control and that
costs sorcery points but then the gauntlet is basically like a free thing that you can do
um when you see a spell can i rage as a reaction to seeing that happen
hey i will let you rage because you were like yelling orders and stuff like that really gonna
help but then i if i get dropped to zero I can make a check
that might just take me to one
also you'd have resistance to the bludgeoning
damage Katie so the 77
that's the only one I would
which is still too much I'm at half health
you're at half health okay
it's still too much
this is literally
yeah
I could try and raise my shield.
This is a spell.
I'm going to make a saving throw.
You'd have resistance to all of this damage
because it's a spell.
Because you have your paladin aura.
I think I'd still be down anyway.
It's half of that.
Let's go round.
Starting with Nova.
Let's go round because I know Kim's been working some stuff out.
Can I try and absorb this before people take damage? Let's go round. So starting with Nova. Let's go round because I know Kim's been working some stuff out.
Can I try and absorb this before people take damage?
Or are we doing stuff to prevent it?
Yeah.
So this is like it will absorb the whole spell, wouldn't it?
Because this is that you absorb the whole spell into you. At least the fire of it.
I convert.
The physical damage of a meteor?
I don't know.
That's true.
That's interesting.
Let me have a read of how the gauntlet works.
Alternative gauntlet.
This is such a cool spell.
If there's a meteor swarm, I can read it here.
If there's a meteor swarm spell, all
of it goes into the gauntlet.
Yeah, because you're channeling
before it forms the meteors, you're absorbing
the magic. No, I think it's actually, I do think it works that way because the gauntlet
here says when you see a creature
ahhhh
when you see a creature
within 60 feet of you
that casts a spell
she is beyond
yeah because the spell itself
is just an instantaneous effect
she's too far away for you to absorb it before it manages to manifest as the full spell all right so i can't do i can't
do it to absorb this all right uh do you want to cast absorb elements do you have that as a spell
as a reaction do you want to uh there is an airship action called brace that you can use as a reaction
well i did my action though but can i do it it's a reaction this is a reaction. Well, I did my action, though.
But can I do it as a reaction?
This is a reaction, yeah. It says brace.
As a reaction, the captain or first mate
can call for a brace. All crew aboard
the ship use their reactions to brace themselves,
take cover, or otherwise protect themselves.
The crew can take no further actions until the start
of the captain or first mate's turn.
This basically will help avoid
them being instantly killed by this. I crap i'd like that yeah okay so rather than saving yourself with absorbed
elements you want to basically spend it like your reaction like everyone get down like you see this
damage and lucius is calling out for them to like you know duck down um you know below decks and things like that. Yes. Okay, right. So Lucius is doing
that. Nova.
You said you worked out
some stuff.
So one thing, I just want to
do some admin.
Because of mislead,
I just want to point out that on a bonus action,
I can switch between my two forms.
So just on the
previous round, I would have summoned my
invisible form done the movement switch use my bonus action to swap back to nova to go to the
engine room um so this round um the first load of damage what damage is that is that fire damage
fire yeah fire okay so and if i take half because you're below death so you take 31 is 31
i'm on one hit point i'm on one hit point i will um i will activate tomb of la vistos
well you don't that's a reaction? That activates automatically when you go to zero? It activates when I take damage.
It's when I take damage.
Okay.
So having taken the first load of damage, the fire damage,
I will activate, go down to one hit point,
activate Tomb of Lovista, so that gains 130 HP,
which will be knocked down by the bludgeoning damage.
And that's
me
so as a point the damage isn't like
one source of damage
followed by a second one, both sources
of damage happen at the same time
but for the purposes of Tomb of Lovistus
it would work the same way where
you'd basically go down to one
and then you'd activate the tomb and then it would
absorb the rest of the damage. So it still works
the same way, basically.
Okay, well, if you're happy
with that, then... So the tomb would basically
take 35,
38 points of damage
the tomb takes.
Okay, 38 HP.
And that is
my turn. I imagine I need
to make a concentration check on Miss
Leed, although it kind of seems
ridiculous. Yes, you would.
DC would be 16.
And I've got advantage.
I rolled exactly
16 plus 3 is a
19, because I've got Warcast.
In the icy tomb of
Lovistus, you not only maintain
concentration on Miss Lelead but you are
still standing uh as you see these meteors smash through the remnants of the ship you will see
nova that like because all of the ship takes this damage as well things like the engine
all of that stuff is like basically rendered to it needs fixing otherwise it's going to crash um so ayla you raged so let's say your
rage was active anyway uh so how much damage so you said that you'd still go to zero because you're
at zero hit points but then you get to do i would still go to zero but i did a relentless rage check
and i got a 19 plus nine so i am at one hit point amazing uh quillek you are 100 down on zero so what does brace do
does brace help in any way race helps it helps the crew it doesn't help you guys it's more like
an or the captain chat in order to all the npc crew and they all take cover and things because
you guys have your own abilities and things like counter spells the crew doesn't they'll just get
instantly killed by stuff like this, so I wanted to give them
a measure of protection.
Okay.
It
raises with saves,
but no, I
haven't got anything.
I passed the dex check either way,
so
I am down to minus one
HP after that, so I'm down okay at zero basically
yep and then century even with your um spell ward aura you still go down to zero
yeah by like two oh really so what hit points were you on i was on 67 and it and it did 69
I was on 67, and it did 69 halved.
No, it would have been... So you would have taken...
69 is what it is.
It's 139 total.
Yeah.
Is it?
Yeah.
I did my math, the calculator.
Okay.
All right.
If that's what you're saying, if that's what you go down to.
Because it was 77 and 62 So to me that's 31
And then 36
139
Okay
Yeah, 139
And then half that would be
69 and a half
71
So you round down, don't forget in D&D
So it's 69 So it's 69 and then that's two two more than
what you had damn it okay um so yeah essentially yeah could she like before it hits would she be
able to sort of like throw herself over penny to try and protect penny yeah because you were up
there yeah yeah for sure yeah yeah yeah yeah well you have your spell or as well which halves the
damage so as this spell energy smashes into it it would absorb some of that and potentially Yeah, because you were up there. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You have your spell aura as well, which halves the damage.
So as the spell energy smashes into it,
it would absorb some of that
and potentially help protect Penny as well,
who had used her reaction to take cover.
So yeah, for sure.
All right, okay.
So this is what happens.
The meteors smash into the ship.
Huge chunks of the hull.
The hull takes 139 points of damage.
However, the hull
is still standing. The helm,
the sails, the
engine,
all take severe damage
to the point where the systems are crippled.
With the engine gone,
the ship will begin to crash, but it
won't crash immediately. You basically have a
round of actions before the ship will
connect. Go on, Kim.
Do we not have the second backup engine?
You do.
Somebody needs to basically switch it on and activate it.
So, going in initiative order,
the ship is basically things like the rifles and the energy weapons.
This looks like it's the only things Akira could have done.
So, Ayla, you are at one hit point.
What do you do?
I would like to run over to Quill
and put a potion in his face.
Yep.
So you kind of,
the ship is kind of leaning
and like, you know,
going down at an angle,
but you can slide along the deck,
kind of grab onto a board,
grab his body,
and start pouring in, because the ship is crashing.
The engines currently have been blown out,
and until the second engine is activated,
the ship is falling.
But he is the only one who has the healing abilities.
Yeah, I was just thinking,
if I get danged by a small amount of damage,
like a broken concentration from this damage, that's guaranteed.
But you're unconscious, yeah. If I get downed by a small amount of damage, like I've broken concentration from this damage, that's guaranteed. If I get downed.
So would unconscious break the staff's concentration?
Right.
It's not the staff doesn't have its own concentration.
It's your concentration.
You can just concentrate on up to two spells.
So yes, you only had one spell anyway.
You only had one spell you were concentrating on.
So yeah, the beacon of hope is gone.
Right.
What kind of potion?
I healed myself back up okay what potion katie that was a regular potion sorry regular
potion four uh four four max maximum amount 10 hit points oh, yeah, and the ship is kind of listing
and it's beginning to tip further and further over
as it's careening towards the ground.
But Quill, you kind of...
as you feel like the potion come through you,
looking around you is obviously a scene of devastation
as you look around.
Ayla, action, Any bonus actions or anything?
Oh, she's muted.
I can't hear you. You're muted.
Sorry, I'm thinking.
I'm not saying anything useful.
I'm just going...
It's Sentry, Quill, Nova next.
Okay.
So.
I think I'm just going to bonus action
take a potion myself, a regular potion as well.
Because I don't...
Actually, no, I'm not.
I can't give another one to someone else.
You can't.
It would have to be an action, so I can't.
So I'll give another one to myself for now.
It's nine hit points.
Okay.
That's all I've got now,
and I'll just say,
Quill, get everyone up quick, quick,
and then I'll messenger ring to Nova
and say what can we do for the ship
what do we need to do
you can still think Nova
I'm incapacitated
so yeah
I think that just means can you still think
when incapacitated I think you can
it says incapacitated
uh
can't take actions or reactions.
Yeah, so you can still use the ring.
The ring's a free action.
It doesn't cost you an action.
So use the messenger ring.
Okay.
So, yeah, you can reply.
Somebody needs to boot up the second engine now!
I cannot do it!
Oh, fuck.
She's stuck in the tube.
I'll use my movement to try and get as close as i can to it
then sure yeah it's like would it be a full action to do it it is an action to turn it on
yeah so i can't do that right now okay well i'll get basically down there yeah um so you begin
making your way down there you can see that uh so as
ala you begin moving around quill kind of coming to because of lucius using the brace action some
of the crew are still conscious like they managed to either duck into enough cover they managed to
hold on they're injured you can see them like clutching what appeared to be like broken arms
or like impaled with huge chunks of wood like clearly bleeding and heavily injured but
some of them are still standing um ariah looks to be unconscious um but some of the wolf pack
um howard lancean and uh gray lano are all conscious enough um that they can take actions
can i shout at one of them and say we need to do we need to boot up the engine, go, go!
And I'll shout it to them and hopefully they can hear it.
There's a male Wolfpack member who you can see,
he's just got this huge chunk of wood stuck into his side.
He's just like, I've seen Nova do it, I can do it!
And he's hobbling after you kind of thing, chasing after you.
Quill.
Okay, I'll get up from being
blasted, and I want to sort of fly
along the deck as best
I can, and
as
many people as is relevant,
I can do this to six creatures, I want to cast
a Mask Cure Wounds at level seven
and just
grab, if I can,
a Raya to bring her back up,
and I guess anyone that's, like,
incomparable, hugely injured.
So at the helm,
you've got a Raya, Lucius,
Sentry's just out of range
because she's by the turrets,
but you can grab things like,
you know, any injured crewmates,
you could heal them
so that they're no longer injured.
You can include yourself.
Yeah, so I can grab six people.
So yeah, just myself and the hugely injured.
Yeah.
So that'll be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, D, 8 to all of those people.
There we go.
19 heal to all of those. Is that with your, what about your modifier? those people. There we go. 19
heal to all of those.
Is that with your, what about your modifier?
My modifier?
Yeah.
Oh, you're right.
Wisdom modifier.
Plus 5. 24.
So Lucius, Oriya, 24
hit points. Quill, you get 24 hit points back.
Those injured crewmates who are nearby
do manage to kind of shrug off
whatever injuries they temporarily have.
Things like broken arms aren't going to mend,
but they've got enough energy now
that they can kind of act normally.
Araya flutters her eyes,
still kind of clutching the wheel,
kind of pulls herself.
Half the wheel has been blown off.
The struts that connect the actual helm
seem to have been damaged as well
as her eyes kind of flutter open.
She kind of looks around just like,
we're crashing.
I need the helm.
We need to fix the helm or I can't right us.
Quick, Lucius, someone help.
And she's starting to pull on the various connectors
to try and repair them as quickly as she can.
Nova,
if you're done, Quill?
I cannot do anything until the end of my turn.
Okay. That thing with
the staff, is that an action? Just out of interest?
You know, the thing
with the staff?
If you want to activate that now,
considering that he is only
just, like, has to regain his now, considering that he is only just, like,
has to regain his strength, you can try.
I'd say it's probably not an action.
I'd say I'd let you do it as a reaction.
But if you want to wait and see.
Just wondering about intern economy, you know,
just seeing how it would go.
Yeah.
Well, Nova, you are stuck in the Tomb of of la vistos in this kind of block of ice
um you know alive but looking as the engine is sparking the room is on fire you can see that
like the ship itself like parts of it on rock you know a light um smashed to pieces as ayla kind of
stumbling in covered in blood uh you know bru and battered, along with this lone Wolfpack member
kind of stumble into the engine room
as you're just wide-eyed, staring at the whole thing.
Could I communicate with Aayla
to guide the Wolfpack member on how to fix the engine?
That's a cool idea.
Yes, if you basically use that
and then Aayla can give the instructions,
that I'd say would count as the help action, ayla can give the instructions that i'd say would
count as the help action so you can give advantage on the check yeah yeah for sure so you're like
thinking like he needs to go there pull that free activate that flip that switch turn on this dial
kind of thing yeah and then ayla's like do this do this do this yeah yeah that's a great idea
right okay so wolfpack member engine i think this is the most important check to make. This is with advantage.
The DC
is 15. I think I've been
missed.
Century, you were. Sorry, Century.
That's alright.
It's because you were down, I think. That was it, yeah.
So do you want to roll that d20? No.
Well pointed out.
It's alright. 12.
12. Okay, so one success. With's all right. 12. 12.
Okay.
So one success with advantage on the wolf pack member.
But the advantage roll was an 18.
So with the instructions from Ayla,
you hear all this hissing of steam. You can see that like the room itself is beginning to get incredibly hot as the
engine is just roaring with fire.
But you do feel this kind of lurch as the airship,
its downward descent begins to stop,
but it doesn't seem to be able to kind of pull itself out of this downward spiral just yet.
Araya will attempt to basically do the same with the helm and to fix that,
along with several of the crewmates aiding her as well.
They managed to basically, several of the crewmates aiding her as well.
They managed to basically, several of the ones that you healed, Quill,
the Wolfpack members, including Fayeth,
basically form like a chain where they're kind of gripping on these various pulleys and ropes and chains
and are basically stretching them over
so that Oriah can begin pulling back on the wheel
as it's beginning to lift the rudders and the fins.
The whole ship begins to tilt.
It crests the very tip of a section of stones.
You hear these huge gouts and kind of tears in the wood
as the whole ship lurches free at half speed,
but still manages to kind of like careen off into the distance
as it is beginning to make an escape
further and further away
as best as they can
a very injured Penny
pulls herself up out of
the turret space having been shielded
by Sentry
will try and perform a medicine check
on Sentry but that is a
three she's just like
I don't really know how to help Guardians, and it's
just desperately trying to do what
she can, but doesn't seem to know how
to help Sentry in any
viable way.
I think the only other people on
deck would be Howard.
He will attempt to, looking
around, seeing that Sentry is the one injured,
will rush over to Sentry.
He rolls a six.
Howard is like, I don't know either do we do we patch it up i i've got and he's like rummaging
in his pockets you can see that like one of his eyes is like completely sealed over by blood
and like wounds and things like that but still still alive uh lucius you are conscious
i'll get up assess my surroundings notice that the helm is being repaired by other people.
I'll run over to Sentry as well
and kind of push Howard and Penny aside.
Let me have a look and do a medicine check on my own.
Sure, go for it.
Because I don't have stuff.
21.
Oh!
21.
You actually kind of realize, Lucius,
that with guardians, it's not just about the physical damage,
but the medical, the magical element to it as well.
And so with a little bit of your own spell sorcerer energy
and binding the wounds,
these deep gouges in the metal and the wood
that her sap and energy is leeching out of
and then reinstilling it with a bit of magical energy,
Sentry, you stabilize, no longer making death-saving throws.
And with that, you are now all out of range of dying,
but also out of range of your enemy.
You are out of initiative as the Storm Tracer limps away
in a desperate kind of flight over the valley.
Oh, God!
I will immediately go and help
Oriah and try and use my strength
to help in any way and save
this hull and keep it going.
So,
will my mislead duplicate
still be
down on the ground? Because there's no
distance on it. It just says the
concentration for up to an hour.
Yeah, you've not been focusing through its attention
because obviously you were trying to help the others,
but if you want to do that now,
if you want to switch your senses over to the duplicates,
you can do.
Do you know what? I will.
Okay.
So I guess it's a bonus action.
So, yeah, Nova in the engine room will go quiet.
Quiet. Quiet.
Sure.
So your duplicate, what your duplicate sees
is three troopers standing in front of it.
One of them is basically, like, swiping a hand through.
It looks like they tried to arrest the duplicate
or, like, you know, they shot at it or tried to subdue it
and obviously came to the real realization that it was an illusion um the you see the
humanoid figure of zarkira this kind of woman with long dark hair carrying this bladed staff
very regal looking posture is kind of looking in the distance in the direction of the storm chaser
um arms folded uh she kind of just glances over that probably wouldn't like
immediately pay attention to the duplicate you hear her kind of say yes it's crippled but it
looks like it will get away yes yes we'll investigate the temple see what we can recover. Very well, Prime. And then
just turns around.
Well, what do we have here?
A little illusory
ganass sent to
what? Distractus?
Still active, so
the caster is still alive.
Wander, are you the only one interesting
you can keep wandering
but you will pay for what you've done
I will see to it
oh by all means
just remember you were the one
who taunted me my dear
come and deal with the dragon yourself I believe it was well here I am By all means, just remember you were the one who taunted me, my dear.
Come and deal with the dragon yourself, I believe it was.
Well, here I am.
Now you've seen what I'm capable of.
Just remember my little promise.
And with that, she waves her hand and she's going to try and dispel magic.
The spell ends.
Yeah.
I think Nova would have ended it anyway. Yeah. It's kind of like you're like, oh, I'm going to end the spell ends. Yep. I think Nova would have ended it anyway.
Yeah.
It's kind of like,
you're like,
oh, I'm going to end the spell and then she thinks she's dispelled it.
No, you hang up.
You both probably think that...
You both think you hung up.
Yeah, no, you both think
that you were the first one to hang up.
But I think, yeah,
the last thing she would have seen
is just pure hatred
radiating from Nova.
I think what Nova sees isn't necessarily
hatred, but just
arrogance. It's more like she sees
like, you have seen what I'm capable
of.
Your
threats don't mean anything to her. Like, it's
purely just sort of, yeah, that kind of
arrogance staring back at you. any of the kind of honor or kind of um any of this like empathy
that you've ever seen in callous is not present in zarkira that is you you see a woman who is
very much about getting what she wants and she does not care about anything that she hurts in the way of
getting it.
Hodorified.
Maybe. Maybe.
Maybe.
Coming to those of you who are stabilized
injured Grey Lano
again pretty much everybody
on the crew by the way has been injured
in some cases. I would like to
now we are out of immediate danger, check for
personal injuries, those of you who went down.
Yeah.
So this would be constitution
saving throws,
the DC of which is very,
very high. I think Ayla's probably the only one who can
probably make it.
Well, I didn't go down.
You didn't go down, so you're going to get it.
Century.
What's your total, actually?
27 total.
27.
There it is.
Half damage.
That's enough.
Yeah, it's actually enough to survive the injury.
However, I think Lucian and Quill will need to roll a little injury roll.
Oh, I'm glad to be a barbarian right now
I'm glad to have tomb of
Lovistus
oh my god
what a nice tomb
yeah so let's
roll a d20 for me please Lucius
six
okay
yeah so it's the kind of same thing it's um uh roller d4 for me
let's see which um limbless effects um two two uh yeah the your left arm lucius is is very badly
hurt probably broken or fractured or something like that. But yeah, just
trying to move that arm is very, very painful
for Lucius. Probably from some flight
piece of hull that smashed into you
when the meteor smashed into the ship.
The old focus
arm. The old spellcasting
arm. Can I portent a
15? I don't know if
portent works on this sort of roll.
Sure. I don't want to roll a 1, Mark.
Sure, you can portent it.
He's lost his face.
Good, because I would have rolled an 8.
Your wing...
Actually, roll a d4.
Let's see which wing it is,
whether it's the mechanical or the organic.
No!
1.
Take his real wing.
That's the organic one.
It's just sprained.
So you obviously fell on it quite badly.
This only lasts until you take a short rest.
So I don't even think it's even worth worrying about
considering you guys are probably going to try and rest up as quickly as you can.
Yeah, we're getting the hell out of here.
Yeah.
Most of the others, pretty much all of the crew have an injury of some form.
So they all have the injured status.
The crew, yeah, they're very badly hurt nobody is dead however which is incredible um lucius lucius calling out brace uh basically stops them dying yeah it basically is a way to
basically they can't do anything that turn um until the next turn rolls around but it stops them from being killed um they become injured and if they get injured too many times they can't do anything that turn until the next turn rolls around but it stops them from being killed
they become injured and if they get injured
too many times they can still die
so if that was a prolonged battle
if there had been another attack after that
you probably would have lost some people
but that basically saved
enough of them that they
got away with injuries more than
death
also as a reminder that was 40d6, that meteor.
Yep, 20d6.
Fire, 20d6 bludgeoning.
Meteor swarm, 9th level spell.
Nice.
Damn.
The storm chaser, it takes some time to repair it.
So as a point, when a station like the helm or the sails or the engine is destroyed,
you can't repair it fully.
You have to have the ship dock and you have to spend money and about a week to two weeks of time
getting it properly repaired.
You can only jury rig a certain amount of repairs to limp the ship back to somewhere else.
You can only jury rig a certain amount of repairs to limp the ship back to somewhere else.
So things like the sky sails,
if you encounter deadly weather or anything like that,
you're going to have penalties.
Things like the engine,
you're at half speed operating on the one functional engine.
Things like the helm,
it's very difficult to turn the ship.
So Oriya has to work much harder
to try and plot routes and things like that.
You are limping away. This is like the ship has taken aah has to work much harder to try and plot routes and things like that. You are limping away.
This is like the ship has taken a
hell of a beating.
Okay.
We've got shit to do, Zarkira!
What do you guys want to do?
What's the plan now?
Heal from one hit point.
That's advisable.
Yeah.
I might just trip over we die at this point
she fell down the stairs and she's dead
the kamara araya and gray lano basically would probably ask to kind of like speak with everybody
as you know you don't seem to be in any immediate danger. Kamara's just like,
this is going to be tough.
A lot of people have got injuries.
I know we're all tired and we need rest,
but we need a lot of hands to run the ship in the state that it's in.
Let's focus here for a second.
What do we do, Captain?
A lot of people are injured, so we're going to need to rotate crew
between focusing on repairs
and also being healed
so let's get a
the most injured at the front of the queue
to Grey Lana
and get them injured if anyone has
any sort of
frontline injury or first aid
ability
they can tend to those with minor injuries right now.
If anyone is capable, get them on their stations
and get this ship moving.
We need to get it to the closest port to be fully repaired.
What does everyone think? Where should we go?
Well, it's a question of, are we trying to make this meeting?
If the repairs take weeks, we're not going to get there.
We need to get...
Well, I mean, the initial plan was...
But we can't go to that kind of meeting with the ship in this kind of state.
We wouldn't be able to get away.
I don't think that we have a choice.
We need to fix this thing first.
Raya thinks for a minute.
Go on.
Do we actually know where this meeting is?
Yeah.
You've been told. It's in the Sky City of Horizon.
Okay, it was in Horizon.
I wasn't sure if they were keeping the location top secret.
They are.
They've told.
Sky Prince of Gustaven told you
where it was. He said it was in Horizon.
He's requested you guys to be there with him in Horizon. He's requested you guys to be there
with him. The Sky Prince
specifically requested you guys to be there.
I feel like we have to be
at Horizon and
we can't take the opportunity
to have repairs in between.
We might miss it.
Go on, Quill.
Please, Master Quill.
We could go to Gusthaven to get the ship repaired
at the very place that it was built.
If it's done in time, amazing.
If not, we might be able to attend the meeting with the Sky Prince.
Take his transport.
If we can get to Gusthaven, we might be able to pull a favour
and have a temporary ship in its stead to get to Horizon.
Well, if you can't pull a temporary ship,
Gusthaven has
teleportation circles.
With a teleport?
It means that you might be
in Horizon whilst the crew
and I repair the ship, but you
can at least go to the city and attend
this meeting if it's very important, whilst you wait for the
repairs. Better than you just
sitting around in Gusthaven doing nothing.
This is true. Okay.
So, we limp to Gusthaven
and then we teleport to Horizon.
That also secures our exit
so we can teleport out.
Things go south.
So long as the teleportation circles
are standing.
Plus you can check in
with what's going on in Gustaven.
You're trying
to build that
little base there.
It's not a wasted trip.
No, we're not.
I'm pretty sure that these guys are
trustworthy at this point. You can trust us
at this point, yes. Any secrets
you have, I think we're long past keeping
them.
I don't know who that
wizard or mage or whatever
they were was,
but, well,
I think if we're
going to go up against somebody like that again,
the storm chaser is going to need improvements
and the crew and I are going to need better equipment.
I want to have another shot at that bitch.
Me and the crew, I'd want to take her down for what they've done.
But if the storm chaser stays as it is,
I worry that we're not going to be able to do much against firepower like that.
If you have any ways of finding improvements,
it would be highly recommended, especially
gear for us.
Didn't we leave instructions
with the house that
Lucius, you partnered your estate
with? So they may have accrued some money
by now. Weren't they supposed to do
something with money and accrue money for us?
Somehow? I remember something about money.
Over time, it's early stages
but. They were basically paying
for the estate. They've basically agreed like
Lucius rents them the land
for his estate. It's basically he's a landlord.
But we
may be again considering the stakes
right now we might be able to
pull in a favour that we can repay over
time. I think considering
the situation and the gravitas,
I think
people will listen and help.
So let's make our
way there as soon as we can.
Sounds good.
And hope that
this table is not in absolute
ruin. Let's go.
Okay,
well, how long will it take? I say say how long will it take us as quill quill
probably knows how long it will take to get to gustaven from here right it's actually there's uh
there's good news and bad news with that the good news is uh the bay that gustaven rotates um it
will come past so uh gustven, the way that it
works is obviously it goes around a rowis
and it has a set pattern that it follows.
When you left Gusthaven, you were
almost on the other side of the world to Voxar.
You were near sort of the
Starfall Archipelago and stuff and
Savona and things like that. It's now
basically going to catch up to you.
The ship with the
speed it's going, if you turn around and start heading towards Gusthaven, it's not going to be very long. It's maybe going to be up to you um the ship with the speed it's going uh if you turn around and start
heading towards gust haven it's not going to be very long it's maybe going to be sort of like
four days um the only the only thing which reminds you quill being the big brain that you are is
there was obviously talk about things like sky piracy and stuff um and in the in the ship state
right now if any sort of pirates see it, you are easy pickings.
You can risk it and just try and go straight to Gusthaven.
You could try and find somewhere to
hide until it's closer, and then
make a shorter trip. You could
try and tuck the ship in somewhere.
If we were
to do most of our travelling at night
with the shadowy shroud that the ship has, assuming that thing still works,
maybe that's the best way to avoid the piracy.
Yeah, if you just try to limit it to travelling at night,
it would slow you down, like it would take longer to get to Gusthaven, but you'd be much safer doing so.
It would also give people more time to heal and stuff, right?
That as well, yes. Sorry, Kim. Go ahead. so it would also give people more time to heal and stuff right that well yes yeah maybe sorry
could we also perhaps um and i would say this privately to the group could we also perhaps
uh contact um edea and ask for her help with some protection or in fact in bringing us in
um she she obviously as her persona was helping out with the Sky Pirates before. Perhaps she would know...
She'd be too busy.
No, we don't want to bother her.
Lucius, I respect...
We absolutely do want to bother her.
I respect your complicated feelings for this right now,
but we need help.
Quill bothers people with messages like literally all the time
I think she would be fine with it
I think we should yeah she'd be cool
like Quill bugs people all the time
I bugged her a ton when we were in
the astral sea
are you talking about me in your minds
again I can't hear that conversation
if you're looking at me like you're talking about
me
all good things
good things. All good things.
Good things.
I can also contact the
name of the place that we got the
ship from
and give them details of all the
things that are wrong so they can get materials and stuff
in prep that we can easily pay for
the repair. We have
a stupid amount right now, right?
Well, Courtmaster Quill,
that is your duty, is to
go around and get an assessment
from all the stations
as to the
extent of the damage, and communicate
the repairs
to the station that's going to
repair in there. My arm really hurts.
A requisition. I understand mine, too
You got a hurt your line out both of you go light out
Okay, gray lano looks at both of theirs and it's like
Captain Lucius definitely needs some rest master Quillick. Just try not to use your arm for an hour. You should be fine. I
Heard easily rest. Master Quillick, just try not to use your arm for an hour. You should be fine. I hurt easily.
I think
Captain, I'll need to...
Captain,
you'll need to put that arm into a sling.
We'll need to get you set up. There's a
few people with broken limbs and things like
that that we can work with.
But yes. Alright, so is the plan
that we are going to travel at night
and try and limit our interactions in the open air and get some extra time to heal yes let's
try and limit our light emission on the deck while threatened all right all right all right
yes we can try and do that uh we'll'll limit lights during the evening and try and keep everyone below decks.
I'll need to stay up on top of the helm.
Lookout.
You can see at night, yes.
Lookout, the kind of guardian.
You can see he's limping,
like one of his legs doesn't seem to be functioning properly.
It's like it's seized up,
but he kind of limps over to...
Yes, Oriah, that is correct.
I am able to see at night.
I should be able to guide you without
giving away our position.
Alright, well, Lookout and I will stay up
on top whilst I fly the ship.
The rest of you try and stay below edges.
I think that
a lot of the rooms have taken
a lot of damage, so we may
need to have people double up in terms
of sleeping arrangements, but I think
we can do this. I think if we can find somewhere to hide out,
I know a few bays and coves around Voxar
that we can maybe tuck into,
places that hopefully people won't be traveling past.
And then, yeah, keep the ship hidden.
If it helps relay to the crew
that the mission here was actually a success,
regardless of the damage
caused afterwards
if there's any solace in that
Captain it's
it's not I think that
let me put it this way
whatever business you had in that temple
whether that was a success
that doesn't
it doesn't matter so much to us
clearly this was somebody who was out to kill us they didn't it was you didn't put us in harm we don't it doesn't matter so much to us clearly this was somebody who was out to kill us
they didn't
you didn't put us in harm
I don't think that any of me or the crew
or anyone here would blame any of you for what just happened
that's an enemy
of all of us
and if that's the kind of enemy we're going to fight
then we need to get ready for that sort of thing
but don't worry about that
I'll keep morale up.
Good. I count on it.
Thank you.
Give me like four hours.
I'll be up with you.
If it's getting a bit tough to steer,
I can try and help you, maybe.
A little bit of muscle there.
Well, the helm is pretty damaged,
but I think I can do...
We might need some help later on.
Yes, very good.
I might go and try and fix the engine now.
Sure.
Yeah.
You don't need to make the checks.
You're not in a stressful situation,
so you can just take time to do it.
Obviously, it will only be able to be repaired to a certain point,
so the engine is still going to be damaged.
But yeah.
Well,
with that, I think we
can take a break there. I just wanted to get that
very stressful scenario
handled.
It was very cool how stressful.
Just a bit.
I mean, I was just like,
oh no, Lily and Sprocket's
shipwright co.
Oh yeah.
They can try and stop us from going to this meeting.
It ain't going to work.
We will limp back there and we're going to go to this meeting
and we'll die there.
Not here.
There was a moment there, Mark, in all of that,
where there was a slight look on your face where you're like,
this is not what I envisaged.
It wasn't that it was an element of like man i rolled higher damage than i expected to um like the 77 was a lot higher than the average i think so i was a bit like that's that's quite high
um also the fact that like yeah things like i forgot that the chromatic gauntlet had a range
so i was just like lucius couldn't do it
there wasn't like counter spell has a range all of that stuff but also yeah i didn't realize like
katie and century were on such low hit points like i i honestly thought you guys were on more
hit points than that so i thought okay well he can half of it century can half it might be okay
should be okay and then it was like you went down i was like oh
two of those but then at the same time like outright yeah yeah yeah same if i've been
on top like i don't know almost got us almost even though we were next to bring us down
to one down to one hit point god bless tomb of vistus
like zarkira literally this is the like just me trying to play the mp villain to the point like
she's you know that's what she'd do there's things that you guys don't know that i don't
want to give away yet but yeah like that that zarkira came with a very specific purpose
uh ready loaded for bear basically it was just like right she's loaded to come and fuck shit up
oh boy that was really tough meteor swarms eh tom wow wish i wasn't in one of those glad i'm not

i'm here to talk about a good film at the right time that's what i'm here to talk about how about
giving audiences both a chance to escape and to hope are you talking about an all-new chapter
in the wonder woman story, Wonder Woman 1984?
That finds Diana Prince living quietly among mortals in the 1980s the very same, Thomas.
Wow.
The era of excess, a world driven by the pursuit of having it all.
An era completely different from when we last saw Diana.
Wait, but even though she's come into her full powers, she still maintains a low profile,
curating ancient artefacts at the Smithsonian, and performing super heroic acts of incognito?
It's like you've seen already, Tom, but you haven't. But now, Diana will have to
step directly into the spotlight and muster all her wisdom, strength, and courage in order
to battle the Cheetah and save mankind from a world
of its own making, proving she is a hero of our time, for all time, for everyone!
Oh my god, this film sounds like it has a great story, peppered with fun and humour
and even more of the intense, exciting Wonder Woman style action you loved from the
first film.
Full of heart, hope, a smidgen of mystery perhaps, intense, epic action sequences, and
maybe a few, hmm, surprises.
Everything you want in a Wonder Woman movie.
There's something for everyone to enjoy, but also a lot for the tried and true fans
out there.
Fate of the world!
Once again, on the line, in a way you could never imagine.
And only Wonder Woman can possibly save it.
Where?
When can I?
When can I see this?
And how?
