She's never dropped once. The ultimate RPE. Right. The Infernal Asylum, everybody. So our group of intrepid players, they are all part of a group called the League of Ordinary Gentlefolk, who they're an organization that send people out on parties to explore mysterious mysteries and solve the unexplained. And they have been called to the Faust Asylum by a whistleblower called Tranquility, a nurse there called Tranquility, who is rather concerned because patients have gone missing.

Not only have patients gone missing, there are strange creatures that have been seen outside the grounds of the asylum at night. And also the temperature has dropped rather rapidly inside the asylum itself. So a lot of mysterious mysteries for you all to show up here. Mysterious mysteries. On which note, would you like to introduce your characters? Starting with Katie. I am playing Fia.

She is a half-elf rogue who I played in Uncharted Territory, if you saw that miniseries. But I brought her back for this one. She is very much in it for the money. Just wants to be paid at the end of the day, really. That's her, pretty much. Bam. I am Detective Inspector Scald. And I'm a...

didn't like some of you, Chris Trott, because you called her a really rude word. That was medium size, not Chris Trott. He's not present. Yeah. He's not really present today, either. Who is? I had to take Milo to the vets today as you can see and so it's been a really stressful day

okay let's do some D&D so the party made their way in um and they met some of the staff they also met um the head of the asylum warden faust who is indeed a lich um who very much sees the inmates as his family and his children and he's here for their care and their love um They also experienced some unpleasant incidences, such as one of the patients being dragged away for causing a disturbance and being told, you know what was going to happen, didn't you, Wilfred? What that is, hopefully, we'll discover in this episode.

So for the sake of saving time, because we've got a lot to get through today, hopefully, will discover in this episode. So just as we were finishing, everyone had just gone to the dormitory and were kind of settling in. Yeah, you were rooting around everybody's chests and finding things. And you guys were trying to figure out

what was going on with the guarding system and the ranks and the hierarchy here. So we're going to jump ahead in time. And so that was about evening time just after dinner. We're going to say it's about midnight now. And you both have settled down in the dormitories, in the patient dormitories. So that's bare, medium size. They've settled down.

You've each found your own bed and your own chest. I'd like to say, imagine you guys have kind of settled down because there's a lack of anything else to do. Maybe you've started to kind of pretend to sleep or something like that. Pretend? Or whatever. Up to you guys what you want to do. But you guys are in the main dormitory, patient dormitory.

Meanwhile, Thea and Di are settled down in the guard quarters. You went there, you were met by a couple of the other guards who kind of just pointed out bunks for you to take and then explained that they were off on night shift. You guys get the day shift the next day, so this is your rest time to do what you want.

And, yeah, but in between all this time, you notice, D.I. Scald, that you have been slipped a note. You don't know how it got there or when it got there. I have. But suddenly you have a little piece of paper. I do. How'd I get that there? Did I not spot it?

So, as you stroke your orb, you receive a vision what you see in a room nearby just down the corridor perhaps he's close he's really close uh you see di scold uh and he sat in the bathroom and he's staring at a note. He's got a note and he's looking at a note.

It's probably not... Multi-touch and zoom in on the note. Would that work? Yeah. Let's just say it would work. It would probably work. One chance. Where anything is possible.

you see strange cells with weird creatures in them cells as in prison cells no not like little cells like prison cells you see iron bars rust, blood. You see strange creatures with elongated limbs and sharp teeth.

And you see it flashes suddenly to almost like a mirror hanging in the middle of sand. And you can see ice coming from this mirror, just freezing the entire room. And like that, it's gone. Go! Are you okay? No. What happened?

I had a nightmare. But it was like a vision. Oh. But it's an actual vision. Oh. I've been fooling everybody this whole time. That was real. Okay, okay, okay.

I'm sure I'm a fraud. But that was very real. I had two visions. Okay, two. Okay, what did you see? One, there was a cell, like a prison, not like the tiny microscopic things that make up all life. Okay.

Cells of prison sails. Okay, prisons. And they were elongated, horrible figures with sharp teeth. Horribleness. And then it cut, probably across the soil, to a mirror. A big mirror.

A mirror. With sand. Submerged in sand. And then ice was just emerging out of it. I kind of want to paint it, but the arthritis is so bad. That sounds crazy. But are you a bit sleep deprived, though? Potentially.

I haven't slept in three years. Sounds like you might need a sleep. You think so? By this point, I think I could just keep going, you know? Well, yes. I mean, you are in for the long haul, I admit. Oh, yes. All right. What should we do about that? That felt very real and it hurt. And it was like ice?

Ice was like, just imagine an ice machine, but in a mirror. This could be the lich. Or a smoke machine, more like a smoke, more like liquid nitrogen. Oh. Yeah. I like that stuff. Yeah.

Makes the smoke come out. Further and further into the future throughout this campaign. Those banging clubs in Waterdeep, you know? Oh. With the big glazing

Oh yeah, they're great. They have the cages and the, are you sure you didn't see that? The clubs with the girls and the cages. Yes.

And there's a little kind of recreation area as well. I mean, it's not secret at this point. We know what's going on. Yeah, we announced it.

It's general guard stuff, uniforms, a couple of personal items. Is there any that have stripes on them?

It was so non-winding. How would you do that? I don't know. I have thieves tools, so I imagine I have lock picks and stuff. He uses a thread yeah i don't know um i'm gonna say make me a roll but with disadvantage because you don't have the right tools and i don't think fear is much of a seamstress nope natural one so you start taking off these stripes,

but you rip the sleeve pretty much halfway across all the stripes. I'd say that you probably actually rip the entire sleeve off at this point, but half of the tear goes through the stripes. So you manage to get the sleeve away from the shirt, but it's rough. I'll just turn it around in the place. Didn't happen. It's rough. I'll just turn it round in the place. Didn't happen. It's fine. of someone who knows that there's going to be pretty much no problems. He's not making any real effort to look around or anything like that. But you're by the doorway. You say. Okay. What's your passive perception?

lanky arms and very sharp teeth. And then it cross-dissolved to a mirror suspended in sand and then ice was pouring out of it. That's very interesting. What's a cross dissolve? What? It's where one vision just kind of

merges into the next one seamlessly. Oh right, like an additive dissolve. Exactly. But without the addition. It's not like they're composite or anything. Anyway... Back in the room. like they're composite or anything. Anyway. Woo! Back in the room. Well, I've got a plan. I mean, what's the plan? Are we trying to get upstairs?
