Pickax.
Hey folks, Mark here, and I wanted to do a little podcast shout-out for anyone looking for more funny D&D adventures.
I've been listening to Tales from the Stinky Dragon recently and wanted to recommend it.
It's a show full of humor and heart with five amazing writers, comedians and voice actors,
like Gusterola from Red vs Blue and Barbara Dunkerman from Ruby, and it's very accessible for folks even if they aren't D&D
experts. I love their immersive sound design and original score, which makes the podcast
feel very epic and cinematic. In fact, you might have actually seen some of their animations
and puppet videos on social media already. That's right, puppet videos. I think there's a lot of
similar vibes between Hirollers and Tales from the Stinky Dragon with goofy hijinks, emotional
moments, chaos gremlin roleplay, and all the stuff I know you already love. So why not
check out Tales from the Stinky Dragon anywhere you listen to podcasts or on YouTube.
YouTube.com forward slash at Stinky Dragon Pod.
Cheers. Thanks, everybody.

Hello and welcome back to
Hello and welcome back to Althea the Dragon Empire.
Our heroes have accepted a quest from the elven-mage Blackwing as a favor that they owed,
tasked with heading into the planar realm of the Faye-Wield and recovering several personal
items of Black Wings from their former home in the city of Vathalian, which was taken over by
the unsealy several centuries ago. Stepping through a portal, the heroes arrived on the
lightless path and bore witness to the strange magical realm of the fay quickly they sorted vice and
directions from a bizarre owl-like creature but were interrupted as a prisoner wagon being guarded by
several unseely soldiers began to make its way towards them seeing satyrs and pixies tracked ruffeth
stepped out onto the road and challenged the cruel and vicious fay guarding them and that is
literally where we begin today.
Leverale.
Leverale.
Would, as we do not have an Ophelia,
we will run with the usual, I will bring up the stats,
but you direct and if you have a specific
that you wanted to do.
You got it?
I'll take it for you.
You sure?
No, okay.
That's a terrible idea.
Oh, that's annoying.
My laptop is signed into DDPION.
Mine did this other day, sign me out.
Very frustrating.
Should we roll fate while you do that?
You can roll fate whilst I get access to Aphelia's gouacheet, please.
I found out a stat about my fate rolls recently.
Apparently, I've rolled...
Dog shit?
I think in the last maybe 12 streams, I've rolled two, I think, like eight times.
Or something like that, and it's like a one in 1750 chance,
and I just rolled a fucking one!
Wow!
Oh my God!
Is it the same?
D6 every time?
I think that's a nice for me.
That's nice for you.
He's used a dice for you.
I got four.
Different one every time.
Four, that's a dice for you.
It was like...
You're on a layline.
Yeah.
I'm on a layline.
Just there.
The vibrations.
On a layline.
It can't be because watch this.
This is going to be a six.
Three.
What did we get over on Chris Trott?
I got a five.
Five.
That's a point.
I'm looking at the facts now.
They're too dreadful.
They are absolutely awful.
Okay.
What about Gruffeth?
Six.
Oh, that's another dice for you.
Oh, so far.
Just the one from me then.
So far.
Just me.
And.
That is a, I believe.
that that symbol is a six.
Oh, so I'm the only one who didn't.
Okay, cool.
Oh, cool.
You only got one.
Go by yourself.
I'm sure to tell a good story.
You really did.
He's going to be.
You're going to have to go higher eventually.
You go.
Right, to cut this short.
Everyone's cars, because just blew out.
Before I re-describe the current situation,
could I have an initiative role for me?
Yes, that's true.
No.
I have re-rolled, most of mine.
I'm just gonna roll.
Natural 20. Wasted.
Natural two.
Natural three.
All right, 21 total.
Gruff, we'll see you in a minute.
Daisy.
18. 18 for Daisy, Xantheis.
Three.
Three, Roan.
Three as well, but I got plus zero,
so you go first.
Okay.
Although I was gonna, I did say that I was gonna attack
before the,
Parheelian, that's right, okay.
I think the episode ended with you drawing Parheelian.
I drew my weapon before initiative started.
Okay.
You drew your weapon or threw your weapon?
No, do you know how to use a bow.
She's through the bow, though.
So you didn't fire a shot yet.
No, I asked to and you said,
Oh, I see, okay.
I thought you said you drew your weapon.
You stopped me from doing the thing.
Yeah, no, that's fine.
So, Rowan at three, and then Ophelia, I rolled a,
that's nine for Ophelia.
Okay, so describe that scene for me.
You currently travel the lightless path,
a dim, shadowed, forested road
that runs through this ancient,
caught between dawn and dusk,
this perpetual realm of twilight,
only dim light from strange plum-sized fruits,
wearing from the trees, giving off warm sunlight and cool moonlight,
really give this place any luminescence.
The road itself is really nothing more than a sort of dirt track,
big enough for said wagon,
and it's accompanying soldiers to travel through.
Around you, just off of the road,
becomes this thick, dense, rather wild woodland.
The branches, the bushes,
the vines that trail through it, rampant, growing every which way they can.
And there is a sense of violence, even within this natural place.
The plants that you see have vicious thorns.
Many of the plants have, you know, spines and spikes.
There is...
But they don't look.
like they should have those things. Many of the plants here look beautiful, but they seem almost
changed. On the path traveling towards you is a large prisoner wagon, barred and gated,
carrying four gagged and bound satir within it. The wagon, the large prison wagon, is being
pulled by a wag, a huge wolf-like fay creature. And surrounding it are
13 unseely.
Most of them look soldiers wearing half-plate armor with weapons and shields and things like
that.
There are a couple that stand out, one at the very front with a large, quite vicious but
beautiful great sword, who is the one who is addressed gruff directly.
But near towards the rear, there is a much larger armored figure as well as a maid.
wearing sort of armoured robes.
All of these unseely have this bizarre combination of elven-like body quite tall and lithe and
a strange sort of beauty and angularness to their features.
But then they have sort of goblin-like traits.
Their ears are much more goblin-like.
They have yellow goblin-like eyes,
goblin sort of skin patterns across their grey, you know,
almost ranging between grey and dark purple flesh.
Their armour is all beautifully made,
but serrated with spikes and hooks
upon which they hang trophies, such as ears or, you know,
tongues and things like that.
And they are making their way,
and they've stopped with gruff standing quite resolutely
in the middle of the road,
sort of axe and shield now.
in hand with this new axe that you've been training with as you stand before them all.
And it's at this point that, yeah, Daisy, we will have Daisy take a round.
So you have advantage thanks to the case here.
And that means sneak attack.
Yeah.
So for those, we do have a battle map.
We currently have on the, what I will call the sort of top side of the forest.
We have a sort of top and bottom
and then the road going in between.
Rowan, Xanthius, Ophelia, and Daisy
are all on the top side, hidden behind trees and foliage.
Gruff has moved out into the middle,
and then the plethora of soldiers
are all sort of stationed in between.
A row of boys.
Yeah.
With a wagon in the middle.
Stinky boys.
So you are going to have some line of sight
because of the tree line, Daisy.
So who would you like to shoot at here?
Where is the big lad?
The biggest lad is currently blocked by
You haven't seen him, you wouldn't have had lane of sight.
Also behind line of sight.
So you have most of these common soldiers.
This captain, I'd say, you can see quite clearly.
Any of these kind of front soldiers are currently open targets.
Captain, please.
I got 29 to hit.
29 to hit, the captain.
Let me just check.
There is a lot of figures here and they all have different abilities.
So do give me a moment.
Yep, that will strike.
This is the one right in front of graph.
Right, yeah, dead center.
Was this a guy calling you stupid for talking in Goblin?
I don't know, I don't listen to pathetic creatures like that.
24 points of damage.
You just answered me.
24 points of damage.
I'm feeling charitable to me.
And you were using Parheelian, the bow.
Yes.
So the first time you've used this,
you bring out this golden arched short bow,
this beautiful sort of engraving of these hounds
and this large handguard with a glowing,
dim crystal.
And you don't have any sort of,
it doesn't have a bow string,
but as soon as you sort of put your hand to it,
a glowing line,
a glowing string of energy forms
and you pull back as this arrow of light.
Would you like to do radiant damage
or normal piercing damage of these weapons?
Radiant, please.
So this radiant arrow fires out from the tree line.
It does alert people that there is now a presence in that tree line
as the arrow thudds in.
I will use the rest of it.
of my action to move and take the hide action, please.
Yep, so that will help you, but it does mean
that they know that there are creatures in that space.
We did say that we spread out beforehand, though.
So you have spread out, like I've moved, I've spread out.
It's just a feel it was next to you to keep you all hidden, basically.
So you could dash over this way, or where would you like to go moving ways?
Because otherwise you're gonna be moving towards the rest of the team.
Can I go towards the rocks?
This rock here.
So if they move into the tree line, you won't be
necessarily hidden you or the tree behind it mm-hmm which was so five so five
ten fifteen twenty twenty five thirty thirty we get you about to you the tree is fine the
tree is fine this one okay and towards the back line yep and that'll be a new stealth
roll as you move you do have the pass without a trace currently oh yeah
poit two stop trying to make poet thing okay 32 stealth
Daisy. The arrow flies out, thuds into this armoured captain who's been sort of addressing
you gruff as you see this brilliant arrow of light, thudds into him. With a practiced
tactician of a soldier, you see the soldiers around him immediately raise shields. Under attack,
fall into formation, as they immediately fall in, it's the rebels! As they immediately believe that
this is some sort of coordinated attack and they are now in basically.
ready to go mode.
This is a coordinated attack.
The captain literally like almost goes to break the error
but there's nothing there
and just forms up into a defensive posture,
keeping one eye sort of on gruff
but glancing in the direction the arrow came from.
So that would be move bonus action action for you, Dezzie?
Okay, perfect.
So we jump into the full proper initiative here
and that is going to begin with gruff.
So gruff almost kind of half-size.
and this is very much for the look of it
than an actual practical application.
He's going to unhitch his axe
and start wielding it, bring his shield up in front of him,
roll his shoulders as he does the armour of oaken thorns
he firsts over him.
Beautiful green energy, which in this place gruff,
as you call on the armour of oaken thorns,
the armour, because we've always imagined
It's almost like the green knight, isn't it?
It's very knightly armour, but it has, like, branches and the line on it's there.
The armour is a lot more wild than you would normally have it.
The puldrons almost curl out, like gnarled branches.
The vambraces have long needle-like spikes on the vambraces that you conjure.
The gauntlets, almost resembling claws more than gauntlets.
It's a lot more wild and quite aggressive, as you call on this magic here.
And there's even probably little multi-coloured,
little insects and butterflies that almost surround parts of it,
like the paldrons and the helm, bright, colored,
whimsical things that dance and flit and move around.
Almost the sound of music, it can be heard as well.
But yeah, it is definitely, it is not any stronger,
but it has a much more prominent visual effect here.
Amazing.
Graph is so cool.
Mm-hmm.
And maybe hearing that and smiling a little bit to himself,
He's going to settle into a battle stands and then whistle,
and Seren's going to shoot out in front of him in a line.
Okay.
And where Seren flies, a tidal wave is going to spring up,
and I want to try and aim it on every single one of the bad guys on the...
So what are we to...
So it's 10 foot wide?
10 foot wide, 30 foot long.
Okay.
So...
And I can start it at the front.
So you want to start it here.
Now, you do have the wagon full of prisoners here.
So you want to angle it?
No, I don't, I want it to start on these guys
to take this line out here.
This line here.
So 10 feet, I would say, so he's about there,
about 15 feet apart here.
So you could hit one, two, three, four, five, I would say.
These five in a line.
Yeah, great.
What kind of saving throw am I looking at?
Dex 16.
Dex 16.
Now, these guys, as you do this spell,
the captain and the armored figure at the back of the thing,
they can see you sort of gesturing with this spell,
you're performing the components of it,
and they immediately call that,
man, incoming spell!
And you can see that their aura,
they seem to exude an aura between these two commanders
that are enhancing their troops, basically.
They have advantage on the saving threat.
So this is against all of the regular guards.
I do have a lot of saves to make here.
So what my DC am I looking for?
16. 16 with advantage.
The first one is gonna be a success.
The second one,
is going to be a failure.
The third one is going to be a success.
The fourth is going to be a success, unfortunately,
and the fifth is a failure.
So two fail.
First and final, get it all listed.
I rolled 20 points of bludgeoning damage.
I roll 20 points of bludgeoning damage.
20 points of bludgeoning damage.
And those who fails are not prone,
and I want them pushed.
Yeah, pushed basically to the back of the wagon.
Is it pushed to the back of the line of the tidal wave?
So it says anyone who fails is either pushed or pulled along the length of the area.
So it's to the end of the line, basically, to the end of the line.
Second final guy just get basically thrown off the back.
Well, the final guy said the line would end at the fine because it's 30 feet line, right?
So he doesn't move, but the other guy will.
It's not primed.
But the guys who failed are dead.
As you push them, you see that their bodies get thrown back
by this crushing force of water.
The others bring their shields up and dig their heels in
and the water crashes over them.
And you can see that they're holding their arms,
like they've probably broken or fractured their bodies,
but they are still just barely holding on.
They do look heavily weakened though.
As this tidal wave just rushes down
and two of them are completely demolished by this powerful spell.
Amazing stuff.
So that was your action gruff?
Would you like to do anything else?
I'm just gonna raise my shield and nod at the captain
and wait.
Yeah, he sort of turns and like viciously,
you know, bears these sharp pointed teeth towards you.
Fantastic, end of your turn, gruff?
End of my turn.
Okay, the guards, the regular soldiers,
not their commanders, are going to activate.
Huh?
These are the gold one on them out.
These are basically everybody,
but this guy with the two-handed weapon,
this large lad, and then at the back the robed mage,
everybody else is one of these regular guards.
Six, seven, eight guards.
So I think that several of them are going to fall
into a defensive formation, I think like maybe three of them
are going to form up around the wagon,
and they are basically going to take the dodge action
by bringing up their shields and protecting themselves.
That's their action.
They will also, those three are going to make
perception checks scanning this tree line for attackers.
Oh, I cannot remember what my stealth result was.
Do you have those?
I do have.
Okay.
I'm looking, I need at least an 18,
because I think Percy and Rowan,
it was quite middling for Percy and Rowan.
It was 18, 19.
That was me.
There you go.
Yeah.
So those three.
You were way higher, I think.
The final, the other two are like scanning their line,
like, we cannot see them, Commanders,
but the final one will point in the direction.
of Xantheists and Roman and be like,
movement, tree line, 40 faces,
and I will point in that direction.
40 faces.
Oh my God, 30.
They can see 40 of my faces.
Oh, damn.
Two of them are going to rush you gruff,
as they can see that you are an immediate threat.
The others are going to move into the tree line.
5.10, 20, 25, 30,
and now that you do not have cover
in any way to hide from them,
They spot, 10, 15, 20, 25.
They spot you, the three, Rowan, Xanthias, and Ophelia
as they move into combat with you.
This one does not know that Daisy's there.
So 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
This one is just going to move up here.
And we'll take the Dodge action as well,
kind of preparing himself.
So two of them are going to make attacks against Gruff.
Again, because of the combat tactics here by their commanders,
they have advantage on this attack.
That is going to be 18.
Does not hit.
Does not hit with your new armour.
The next one, I think that is going to be hit.
That is a 23.
That will hit, yeah.
That will hit.
So one manages to get a strike through.
My AC is currently 20 because I got plus two from...
From the Arm of Foken Thorns.
Perfect, that's working great.
That is a nasty hit though.
Oh, no, those are D-12s, my opponent.
I will re-roll that.
I was using my dagger, heart dice,
I forgot that they were D-12s.
It's still not great.
That is gonna be 15, 15 points of slashing damage
as it brings this nasty axe,
kind of digs into the armor of Oak and Thorn,
sapping away some of that supernatural strength
and cutting maybe a little bit into your body.
But the other one misses,
and you managed to deflect it with your shield.
So just for a point of admin,
I took the amulet of healing.
of health from the ship loot.
So I have that, the bracelet of health, sorry.
So I currently have that equipped.
And also that just took my six, 10 HP from Armourphoacanthor.
Perfect.
There is two more to make attacks.
The ones that have moved into the tree line,
Xanthius, one's going to try and attack you.
The other is going to try and attack Ophelia.
Good luck, idiot.
They have advantage on these attacks.
That is an 18, sorry, a 19 to hit you,
Zantheus. Unshearable 19. Unshieldable 19. And against Ophelia, that is going to be a 14 is not
going to hit Ophelia. Zanthius, that is going to be 13, 14, 15 points of slashing damage to you as well.
As they kind of burst through, mage, kind of like, or...
Sorcerer. They do not seem to recognize the difference. Do I look like I learned all this?
Do it look like I read? And then I think everybody else is basically taking the dodge action, so they have any
attacks against them have disadvantage for that.
And that is going to be the guards.
Apologies, there is a lot going on in this fight.
A lot of boys.
Daisy, you are at next.
Oh, hello.
Can I get a shot on the mage from here?
If I peek out?
You can do, yeah.
I'd say that you would expose yourself for the attack,
but then obviously you can move and bonus action hide.
Yep.
I will take a shot.
Okay.
Plus.
Do I have advantage because I'm hidden?
So, you would normally have advantage.
However, as you fire this arrow,
you see that this mage is almost protected
by this like invisible barrier of wind.
And as a ranged attack is made against him,
it has disadvantage.
Ah, so it neutralizes.
So it would neutralize the advantage.
So it's becoming a flat attack.
25.
25 will still hit, though.
Nobody is beside them, though,
so I don't get my seek attack?
No, because it discounted out the advantage, unfortunately.
So it's almost like the arrow, the sort of light arrow
is almost buffeted away by this magical wind,
but you've aimed it in a way that manages to just catch them.
There's only seven damage.
Seven points of radiant damage.
I would like to run to...
So you'd basically have taken like a five foot step,
made the attack, and then vanish off.
I'd like to move to the furthest away tree on the map, please.
This, like on the corner, yep.
So 5, 10, 15, 20, 25.
Yeah, you can get basically right into the corner of the map over here.
Hide, please.
Yeah, give me a self-check.
34.
34, okay.
I have a plus 23 right now.
Yeah, like you are, with the pass without a trace,
you are like a guerrilla fighter, blending through the trees,
firing, and then you move off.
And you can see that they recognize
that there is some threat here,
that they're scanning the tree line,
and you begin to hear them calling out,
like, at least six of them, sir.
Like, they almost think that they're being attacked
from multiple fronts now.
So they think that there's actually more of you
than there are.
Or at least more in the tree line than there are.
Perfect.
Concentration, it's not, isn't it?
Once it's cast, it's cast.
It's not concentration.
Poot.
Do a change.
Sorry, is putt a concentration.
Daisy, that would be the end of your turn, though, basically.
Actually, no.
No, it changed it.
Oh, really?
It is concentration.
Is it?
Oh, 2024 rules.
So it's, you radiate a concealing aura
within a 30-foot emanation.
Ah, okay.
So you are now out of the past, that phrase.
Yeah, so no one has...
Still 24, though, so it's still very hard for stealth, yeah.
And I cast tidal wave, which is...
Not concentration.
But you did take an attack, so constitution saving throw.
17 plus...
That you'll be fine.
Yeah, so it is still up, but it's a 30-foot aura around.
They nerved pass without a trace.
I mean, they kind of needed to.
It was very good.
Yeah, but stealth is so fucking difficult as it is.
that even...
24.
No, but even...
But I'm a rogue.
Yeah, that's what I mean, you're doing it, right?
But I mean, for like a group challenge, like we still...
If you were all together.
Yeah, but we still got like a 19.
That's where invisibility is great, because you can cast that and people can move off.
Most of the time, we stick together with stealth anyway, so it does...
Yeah, if you were like moving through a town or something or like an area.
Anyway, so that was Daisy's good.
You see the satia in the bars, they like can tell something's going on and almost sensing that this is a moment.
They're like...
You can see them struggling trying to free them.
themselves, they're ganked and they're like,
and they're like trying to wriggle the free.
But they are unable to free themselves.
But they seem to sense that something is happening
and are trying to bust out.
We then go to the captain's turn
who is going to rush up against Gruff with his two buddies.
I don't know who you are or where you've come from,
but you and your rebel friends won't succeed here today.
And he is going to make
Just yapping.
He's multi-attack.
He just won't stop yapping.
Does his...
The commander's aura does affect him,
so he has advantage as well.
So I rolled terribly.
That is going to be only a 13 to hit you,
his first attack.
Doesn't.
Parries it away.
Second attack.
That's better.
That is going to be 21.
A hit.
Oh, just a fine strike.
4, 7, 8, 9, 10 points of slashing damage,
plus four points of poison damage.
I am resistant to poison.
Two points of poison damage, then.
So there is something on this blade,
some sort of, you know, liquid that is almost,
I imagine that it's actually built into the blade itself.
There's like a thin glass capsule
that as he swung, he almost smashed against your blade
and then that coated it and then took the second swipe.
That's right.
That is his multi-attack, that is him done.
The next to go is the warlord.
Oh, that's you.
Hey, no, it's not you.
Sit down.
What is.
Is that your new nickname?
The warlord.
The warlord.
He will.
Not war criminal.
Turn.
Yet.
And he will say.
Well, Zanthius, the boy who's crowning.
Yeah.
He's crowding!
He's crowding!
You see this commander turns to the mage who is
You can see now it has more of a female sort of look to the face.
There's a slight difference to their body shape.
And we'll just say,
I'll see her good behind the wagon.
Make sure that they do not free their kin.
If anything, if we do not thin their numbers,
you, he points to the guard, kill them,
and points to the satyrs in it.
But he is going to advance up.
I will deal with them.
5.10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
He's going to move up 30 feet here.
Here for podcast listeners is towards us.
Yes, sorry, towards Xanthias and Crewe.
And he is going to sheathes his sword.
He's going to go fists.
And he will draw out from his back a nasty looking long bow.
And he can, you will have cover against this,
so you'll get a plus two to AC.
Okay.
Zantheis, but he can see you and Rowan, I think,
but you're both going to get cover from this.
But he's going to take a shot with his long bow.
He doesn't give himself advantage, though.
So I will do that.
But that is still going to be 24 to hit Rowan.
Oh.
Yeah.
And then 20 to hit Xanthias.
I will cast shield.
Because my AC would be 16 and I can plug it.
Yeah, yeah.
So I will shield that one.
You'll shield that one.
So mark off a shield, but the attack misses.
you're going to take 10 points of piercing damage
and your speed is decreased by 10 feet
until the end of his next turn.
And he slows you with the arrow,
like kind of goes through your thigh.
I shield mine and mine ricochets into Robert.
My apologies, he gets three shots.
He will take another shot.
I will randomly determine, one, two, three, four, five, six,
one, two, three, it'll shoot at Xanthia.
So the shields up, yeah, exactly one to beat.
21 to beat, I suppose.
22, 16, yeah.
Cool.
That is gonna be nine, so 13 points of piercing damage
and your speed is also reduced by 10 feet.
Got it.
That is the commander's turn.
We then go to, oh my god, there's so many low initiatives here.
Ophelia's turn, what would you like Aphelia to do?
She does have somebody in front of her.
She can rage.
She will rage, absolutely.
I think she'd like a taste of some face.
They wield in blood.
Yeah.
So she wanted to do her to drain with Veracity?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Up close and personal.
All right, we use one Rage and she asked her two attacks.
Would you like to roll these or would you like me?
I would like Trot to roll one of them.
Okay, roll a D20 from Trout.
And then we'll determine how good he is at this roll.
Check this out.
Plus seven.
Four.
I'd like someone else to roll the next one as well.
So 11.
So she goes to strike but this guard is.
a trained guard and parries the blow to the strike.
That's a train guard.
Would you like me to roll it?
No, watch this.
Are you gonna run? Okay.
15 plus.
22 is a strike, is a hit.
Can you roll a D8 for me, please?
Yeah, seven.
Plus another seven is 14,
and she will gain a blood point.
A bloint.
And this was a regular, smegular guard.
So that was 14 points of damage.
Is enough as you watch, as she strikes for him.
and then just
all of the blood.
Drained and falls to the ground.
As she strikes, that was her first attack.
She still has movement and a second attack.
She's done two attacks.
Oh yes, she has, yes, she missed on the first one, thank you.
She'd probably stay where she is.
What's her bonus action?
She raged, bonus action.
Oh, yes.
She probably could move.
You do have the commander in this other guy here
and Gruff is currently outnumbered.
She could support Graff actually.
What would you like her to do?
Doesn't she have an ability when she rages,
she can, like, charge forward, or is that...
She can move, but she had a guy right in front of her.
Something else.
No, she can move when she rages, but she had a guy right in front of her, so...
I think support Graff.
Move up here?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Get in the mix.
She will move up here to support Gruff.
Yeah, bubble all in Penham.
All right, perfect.
Stop talking, Tom.
Stop, yeah, words cease.
They weren't words.
I cast cease on thee.
Silence.
Let me just check.
Cease and desist.
Ophelia has now gone.
So, it's...
falls to the mage and the wangk.
The mage will.
What was that?
Weig.
Doesn't like that there's somebody is sniping,
so we'll actually come here and duck behind this wagon
blocking line of sight.
Howard.
And we'll peek out using their army arcana.
which allows them to basically exclude their allies from Ae's.
We'll sort of take a peek out and then move back.
And...
What's that? That's a big circle you've got there?
Big circle.
Big circle, but I don't think it's...
Maybe it misses.
It can hit Ophelia and gruff, but I can't catch all of you guys in it.
If I put it on aphelia, it does catch Xanthias.
Oh.
One, two, three, four, five, which end she can ignore her allies as well.
Um, to six.
So yeah, she's gonna target Ophelia as a, uh, a bead,
but it is not fire.
She's gonna change it into, let's do lightning.
Oh, she fires a lightning ball out from her hands.
I need a gruff, Ophelia, and Santhius to make
dexterity saving throws.
Dexterity saving throw.
Ophelia will have danger sense,
so she'll gain advantage.
Yes.
Ophelia is gonna take half damage.
That was 12.
A filthy 20.
We do have fate.
Oops.
I have a dirty 13.
A dirty 13 is not enough.
That is gonna be a failure, I'm afraid.
Shit.
Gruff and Ophelia boats to see,
so you're gonna take half damage.
From this lightning ball.
Oh, awful damage, though.
11, oh no.
Oh, that's better.
Oh, 24 points of lightning damage.
So 12 to Ophelia and Gruff.
Oh, 69.
Nice.
What does that mean?
What does it mean?
Ever in this show.
Why does Ophelia not have all of her hit points?
Because of the live show.
Live show, I will heal her up to fall.
We were unfilled before.
Yeah.
That's a big, big hit right there.
Yeah, Zanthius is not doing fantastic.
The show was fire.
You did, did you heal after the live show?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay. So this lightning ball will explode
and then the mage, the dominator will duck back in.
The dominator, I'm sorry, the dominator.
Dominator.
Okay, maybe they can live.
Duck back in.
You watch as they kind of cast this lightning as well,
they use their hands and sort of arc the lightning
away from their allies, only affecting the foes within range.
Yeah, perfect.
And then I think,
can they do anything with their bonus action?
No, not just yet.
So that is going to be them.
The wag will turn around and ingoblin,
which Gruff you, I know you understand,
is literally like, come on, let me off the harness,
let me get out of him.
I can smell this bullet out there, let me go.
And he's talking to the guards next to the harness, basically.
But he's unable to currently move.
But he's raring to go.
All right, but he's unable to do anything.
So we'll simply take the Dodge action.
That brings us to the bottom of the initiative pile,
which is Xantheus first.
Hi there, now Dodge action,
just as a quick reminder.
It makes them.
Disavanchions on any attacks against them,
so attack rolls against them.
And Dex with advantage as well.
Oh my God.
Which is, I think, a new 2024 thing.
Yeah, okay.
I like what this major is doing
because I want to do the same back,
except this time I can't tweak it to lightning.
So I'm going to do the same thing, the fireball.
Cool.
Right back at this mess.
Can I have that circle, please?
Can you exclude allies?
Yeah.
Oh, cool.
Eventually.
What's the raiders?
What?
I would like to do it against, yeah, the one, two, three guards.
Where are you placing this?
This looks like it's touching you at the moment.
It is.
Oh, okay.
So it's going to hit.
You're going to basically catch everybody in.
this circle.
In that reason.
So it's...
One soldier, two soldier, three, soldier, four soldier,
the captain and the warlord, basically.
Yes.
And myself and Graff and Ophelia.
Yes.
Really?
And I have careful spell, don't you worry, is my meta-magic?
Uh-huh.
Which I'm gonna exclude four allies, myself,
Graff, Ophelia.
And does it mean they take no damage or they...
Because, well, they've changed that.
They automatically succeed on the saving throw
and take no damage where they normally take half.
There you go.
No, no, they will do, because they automatically succeed.
All right.
Okay.
And you're also scared of me...
I'm even...
I wasn't.
I didn't.
I said it not.
Because of their tactical discipline, all of the enemies do have advantage on this.
So one closest to use Antheus.
Oh, bonus action, sorry, bonus action use my mage.
Okay.
I'll do that first.
Mark it off.
You're going to use it and then you have to recharge it.
That increases my...
So what do you see are we looking at?
It is now, because of that mage rage...
Ah, ah, ah, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh.
17.
This soldier next to you fails.
Good.
Uh, the soldier next to Ophelia, fails.
Nice.
This one on the other side, fails.
Yes.
Captain succeeds, 21.
The warlord, uh, that is going to be Dirty 20 succeeds.
One more soldier, um, succeeds.
Oh wow.
So basically the captain, the warlord, and this guy all succeed.
Everybody else fails.
That is 8D6 of fire damage.
Sure is, pal.
Two, four, nine, twelve.
And then, oh my god.
That was spicy.
12, 22, 28, 31 fire damage.
So, 31 to those who felled and then 15 to those who pass.
Real pain for my sham friends.
Cool.
Nice one.
Um, and yes, anyone, any ally, a big old ruin
literally just blocks the wave of fire
that's coming out of this.
Uh, encasing you in my warm golden glow.
Inglie.
And you feel great.
This one next to you is incinerated in the blast.
He's like the Final Fantasy.
The ones on either side of gruff and Ophelia
are also incinerated.
This guy just barely
manages to survive, but looks incredibly,
incredibly injured.
The captain and the commander are still up.
Could you, those little walls of fire though for me,
Zanthius, could you pass me them please?
As you have caught quite a significant part
of the woods in this as well.
I buy planes.
It's not the material plane.
Because, yeah, elements bad, huh?
Well, maybe it's just fire in a big forest.
A bit of both, I think.
as yeah the trees and the foliage and the scrubland all around you immediately ignites and is caught on fire
and it's quite a significant explosion as well can you pass me one more because i think this tree was in as well
yeah uh as fire begins to erupt from this cacophonous explosion uh which reverberates down the road as well um
and yeah the fire looks like it is going to probably spread very quickly here
but we'll see what happens well uh Rowan unless you would like to move yeah I'd like to move
because there's a fire on me yeah I want to um I uh is it just a case of if I just if I charge
for the fire is that okay or find out in a fire right now it's right there the tree line
next to you is on fire what would you like to do right hard up to the tree though when you
cast he was I've had to move him for the fire to go there he is he is within
Because also, this is one tree.
Imagine that this is like a thick,
this is all thick tree line, basically, right?
But these are just the main ones providing cover
for the tactical battle map.
So there's like Scroblund and bushes
and everything all around.
Since I use careful spell
to protect myself from the fireball itself,
can I use that to just charge ahead of the...
I want to basically run up the battle map
towards, I guess, what would be the back line.
Towards where Daisy ran to?
So my movement's only 10 feet less, actually.
I've only got 20 feet.
You've only got 20 feet?
5, 10, 15, 20.
So I can get behind that big tree,
which is the opposite side of the warlord.
This one?
Yeah.
Which is just at the tip of the fire.
I know, I mean with 20 feet, you can only get about here.
Yeah.
And you're still, this is all on fire.
This is, this tree is burning.
This tree is burning, this is all flamy.
Where can I, in that case, where can I go that's not on fire?
With 20 feet of movement, unless you run out into the road, nowhere.
This is all on fire.
I'll run into the road then.
I don't want to be in fire.
So to do that, you would go,
if you want to avoid the warlord,
you would go 5, 10, 15, 20.
Did you go that way?
You could go up this way.
I'll just stand behind Gruff.
Sure, yep, you can go 510, 15, 20.
Yeah, so you can get literally behind Gruff.
But you are now out in the o'clock.
Gruff, hey, look around.
I'm a bit busy boil.
Yeah, you're done.
Rowan is going to stumble out into the road, 25,
directly to the left.
Yeah, so with the difficult terrain of moving through this wood,
you'll basically get about here,
but you are out of the flaming woods, basically.
Rowan is going to touch, he's going to do something unorthodox here.
Okay, I love it.
He's going to speak to Xanthius and Gruff ahead of him.
Maybe don't touch the ground where I put my hand.
And he's got to put his hand on the floor and do a glyph of warding.
And he's going to place within it the explosive room.
I'm going to take, I think, check glyph of warning.
Can you cast it as an action?
Because sometimes I think it is an action.
It is an action.
Okay, because I think it's a ritual,
you might be able to also do it as a ritual,
but yeah, okay, so you're gonna cast it as an action.
I don't think it's next.
Where are you placing this glyph?
It's a one hour cast.
Yeah.
Oh, if it's one H.
Yeah. One H, one hour.
Yeah, that's shit.
Well, it's defensive, it's like to place a trap
on like a door or like something like that.
To be fair, it does look like 1A on D&D beyond.
Yeah.
In which case, I'm going to touch Stantheis
and give him heroism.
Okay, great.
Oh, heroism.
I thought you said you're gonna give him heroism.
Heroin.
It's like it's a bold direction from D&D.
This will make this fight go better.
Yeah.
High Rollers.
Nice.
No.
Kind of.
Give Bardic inspiration to Griffith.
Okay, so heroism for Xantheis,
which I think is temporary hit points at start of his turn.
Three temp, HP, concentration minute.
And you get that every turn, Rowan's turn,
you get three temporary hit points.
Including this one.
Yeah, so you get three temporary hit points now.
Fuck yeah.
But remember the hit point, temporary hit points,
stack.
Yeah, okay.
They're just replaced the ones you don't have.
And also I think you're immune to like being frightened and stuff.
Yeah, you are.
So it's already the case.
And then Barnick to Groome.
Oh god.
Uh, Barlick inspo to you, which is a D8 on tax savings stuff.
Perfect.
And a moat that does stuff.
End of turn?
Can I roll it after the fact or do I have to roll it with the fact?
You can add it.
You can add it.
You choose whether it's the attack save or down or something.
End of turn, Rowan?
End of turn, Rowan.
Okay.
Come back up to Gruff.
Hello, I'm gonna straight up.
I don't need to shaleigh any more.
No, okay.
Your axe has already got like your,
there's some factory.
Okay, attack, natural 20.
Oh, perfect.
Against the captain, I'm assuming.
Perfect, so work out the damage.
So it'll be max damage.
A million.
So I also have primal strike.
Oh, great.
So I had one D8 of.
You're taking his shoes, damage.
So I rolled seven plus four on the axe damage.
plus the max of the, so whatever the max would be for the axe.
So is it a D10 because we're using the shalele.
So 14, 14 plus the dice number.
7 is 21.
21 for the axe.
Plus four more for the next.
No, because you don't add the modifier twice.
Whatever that was, 21.
Plus five for the DA of fire.
26, well then primal strike, you get another eight
because it's a D8, right?
So 26, 34 points of damage.
Nice.
So with this primal strike, you, we kind of,
of sea like you lift the axe as the axe head catches flame.
This green fire engulfs the blade of the axe.
As you bring it down, he goes to block it as your axe cleaves through the steel,
snapping the sword, buries into his head and cleaves through to his chest,
ripping this captain down as he already injured, but this takes him out.
As his body is thrown to the ground.
That is just your first attack graph.
You still have movement and an action left.
Do you, can I get up to the mage with 35 foot of movement?
35 feet, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, you will not.
You could engage the warlord or you can start moving in that direction.
I think warlord.
Okay.
And I will extra attack.
Yeah, go for it.
There is a normal soldier next to him if you want to thin numbers as well.
The normal of soldiers almost deed.
Yes, he is very close to death.
You could take one hit.
He's taken a tiny bit of that fireball damage.
Tight.
But you could take out that minion.
Any duty.
They do hit quite hard, and they have advantage
as long as their commanders are around.
I'll go for the minion.
Yeah, might be prudent.
16 plus 8 to hit.
So yeah, with that plus 8, so 24, yes, that will hit.
11 points of axe damage.
I am going to, one thing.
That guard had taken the dodge action.
Can you roll that with disadvantage, please?
15.
Total.
No, plus 8.
So 23 is still a hit.
They actually have high AC,
which is why I'm being pedantic about it.
So yeah, give me the damage.
11 points, axe damage, two points fire.
You come up and swipe, and again, this soldier is taken out.
What a hell of a turn!
As you just charge through, bam, and then you just launch forward.
Damn, good thing I have heroism.
God damn.
Can I see the satir in the wagon?
Yeah.
And do they look injured?
Yeah, they look really beaten up, yeah.
I will cast Healing Word at level two.
Okay, there are four satir, three male, one female.
I will go for...
Is there anyone who looks particularly...
Give me a free Insight role.
Insight...
15, 16, 17, 18, 19.
Yeah, like you glance.
around and you can see that three of them
are looking towards one of the males
he's got like an eye patch
like a very rough, it's almost like just a
strip of leather over one eye
covered in scars. He looks like he's taken
the brunt of any punishment
and torture but
he's like, you can
see him like bulging his muscles trying to
snap these bonds and he catches your
eye and you see a fierceness that
like you recognize as maybe being like a leader
or a fighter.
I will cast Healing Word. I've
at level three for him.
Okay, and I just re-rolled one, that was a one,
but I rolled one again.
Okay.
So that is 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19,
20 points of healing.
Okay, he is no longer bloodied,
and because you've healed them to a point,
I was giving them disadvantage on all their checks
to break free, because they're, like, so weakened.
Do you see, like, renewed strength
come into this satire, and he, like, catches your eye,
and just, like, nods, and you can see him, like,
really, like, struggling now, like, about to try and burst free.
How are they, is it ropes that they've got?
Their hands are, like, behind their back,
and their hooves are tied together at their feet,
and they have gags in their mouths.
But it's ropes that they've got specifically,
or is it, like, hands?
They, you can't, I would say that you probably can't see
from your angle, because they're in the wagon,
and there's bars and, like, a nook around it,
so you can't see if it's chains or ropes or something.
But there's a cage around the wagon.
It's a cage with a locked, like, gate door, basically, at the back.
So I feel like, yeah, that would have been like,
cleave down the captain,
charged for the room.
Almost like shield, push him his body out of the way,
strike down this other minion,
and then you like look and, you know, one handle,
maybe Seren flies over and healing magic sort of flies out
from Seren as you do.
This, like, the commander looks down,
and he is tall.
He's taller than you, maybe like eight feet,
seven and a half feet, eight feet tall.
You can see he's covered in like these trophies.
ears and tongues.
And now the burns, he's almost like quite touching the burns
on his arms, like, he looks down, looks towards the captain,
and you just see this grin, kind of like, and it's too wide.
The grin goes up to like the cheeks, and it's all sharp teeth.
Yes.
End of turn, Grove?
End of turn.
All right.
The few remaining guards are going to take their turn before the days is.
This guy is dead.
These two protecting the mage are, again, going to,
basically they're going to take defensive actions.
They're going to pull out things like hand axes,
and I think that they're going to throw them in the direction of you guys.
This one here is going to move up, and he's going to unleash the wog.
He's going to be like, go, kill them, kill, find the one in the trees,
and we'll unleash them, and then they're basically going to step back
and throw axes.
The wog is now freed.
This one is going to,
is going to try and find Daisy.
It's going to go,
5, 10, 15, 20 to this tree
thinking that the attack came from over here
and it's going to make a perception check
to try and spot you,
like, because you've got a nice,
nice high decks, uh, stealth.
I don't think that's going to cut it.
Uh, what's their perception?
Nothing.
Uh, just a plus, plus one, 15.
Not enough.
So you kind of press yourself up, Daisy, against this tree,
as one of these unseely guards now is, like, moving through,
like, I know you're here, where are you, rebel scum?
It's like searching around for you.
The other two are going to throw hand axes towards Gruff and Ophelia
with advantage because they're commander's tactics.
Gruff, that is going to be a 21 to hit you.
And against Ophelia, that is going to be a nice.
I think that hits.
I think that hits her as well.
Just it meets it, yeah, literally meets it.
So these are gonna be their vicious hand axes.
So gruff, that's gonna be seven more points of damage.
And then eight half to four because Ophelia is raging.
So mine hit my temp HP again, so I ended up taking one.
Perfect, so it's just slowly chipping through,
but that armor of Oak and Thor might helping you tank
some of these blows, as is it is meant to do.
Perfect, that is gonna be the regular
guards go. That leaves us to Daisy. Can I run up to the cage door please and start
picking the lock? Yeah, so you would, the quickest way to do it would be to go
around this way. So it would be 510, 15, 20, 25, 30 would get you to here and then you
could bonus action dash and then it would be an action to try and open it. So can you
give me a thieves tools basically check? So pick lock. Please remind me what?
So your proficiency, do you have expertise in thieves tools?
So double your proficiency, which I think is four to eight,
plus your Dex.
So it should be eight plus your Dex mod.
I've been hit twice, haven't I?
Yes, are you, concentration?
Should be DC-10.
15 plus 13, 25, 28.
28 to pick it?
Yeah.
Actually, this, you start picking it
and you realize as you go up to it,
this lock is way more complicated,
not just mechanically, but you can almost feel
that the lock is magically like resetting the pins,
like there's some sort of magic element to this lock,
but you sort of quickly learn how that works
and manage to, and with a little bit of NIMS help, maybe,
you pick the lock successfully.
Hell yeah.
The lock is cloak, you will need to open the gate
because it is like a big heavy steel gate and stuff.
But they can also...
If they can break free, yeah.
You can now looking in,
you can see that their hands and legs,
are bound by, it's almost like leather straps,
but it doesn't look like any animal hide, you know.
It's some sort of fay material,
but it's almost like leather straps that have been wrapped
and they've been bound in like a really awkward way,
so for them to like, you would need to cut through it,
basically, if you wanted to try and free them.
Unless they break free.
Unless they can just raw strength break free,
and then he might be able to help.
Okay.
Well, that is gonna be move, bonus second,
Action for you, Daisy, so that is you done, I think.
Could I, I have mundane daggers in my backpack pouch.
Could I put one through the bar?
You can put one through the bar.
I'll say that as you move up and as you finish pocking,
you can slide a mundane dagger through,
and they all look at it.
Yeah, perfect.
Well, it's actually their turn next.
So what I'm gonna do is the one who has been reinvigorated,
he's gonna try and break it with raw strength.
You see this female satir, and she's got these, like, you know, gorgeous, like, curls,
like brown cars that spill around her head, like these little sort of horse-like ears.
She's kind of a bit of an ouma, umah, um, muslim.
But she, like, sees it, throws herself on the ground and, like, worms over to the dagger,
picks it up and starts trying to soar through the bonds.
The other two are, like, looking at them what they're doing.
I'm going to roll for the guy to try and break through with his strength.
I'm going to give him advantage on this as well, because you can see.
that this is like a turning point, so that is a natural 20.
So you see these like muscles, it's quite strong for it.
He's only a little sort of halfling size like Phil from Hercules.
And you see these bulging muscles and got a bit of a belly,
but kind of like a strong man has got that strong build.
That's what I say about my dad bow.
And you see, you hear something snap and he's like,
Rips the gag off of his mouth.
And that's gonna be his action.
to break free and then remove the gag.
And he's basically to spend his turn,
like removing his hooves that have been bound.
And he just looks at you and says in some language
you don't understand, like, have your mama.
He says something in some strange language to you.
Thumbs up.
With disadvantage, I'm gonna see if the girl,
Sete, can try and cut through,
but it is gonna be a disadvantage.
Now I get the Nat 20s.
Another Nat 20, okay, genuinely.
So she eventually, and then cuts through,
reaches up, removes her gag, and cut her legs free.
So two of them are currently free.
Cool.
Damn. But that is their whole turn.
The other two are too weak to break through currently.
We go to,
da-da-da-da-da-da.
Guards have acted, the captain is dead.
Great.
The warlord.
Hello.
Right in front of Druth.
Gosh, she has to be a big Numbi though.
Yeah.
He looks like Big Numbi's boy.
He does look like a big Numbi's boy.
He is going to look at what's happening.
He looks at, like, a lot of his soldiers have been killed.
The fire is beginning to spread.
He looks to the Wharg, and he says,
You ride, warn them that we have rebels in the woods
on the Lydler's bath.
And then he's just gonna come down,
he brings out this, you know, serrated blade
and he's gonna...
Go for gruff, though.
Thank you.
It's gonna give me a cold.
The worst.
This is three attacks with his no-like weapons.
Three.
Three.
Yeah, three attacks.
Here we go, with advantage.
23 to hit on the first one.
I'm just gonna roll these all individually.
22 to hit on the second.
Yes.
With the advantage, that's 25 on the third one.
So all three are gonna hit.
First one is going to be nine, 12 points of slashing damage.
The second one is going to be 15 points of slashing damage.
And the last one is going to, that's a terrible role,
that's only seven points of slashing damage.
Just like rips into you, kind of taking these chips,
your armor kind of breaking away,
but your shield battering away in this now locked
into a real duel of combat here.
And all that training with Sir Greal comes flooding back in.
You know you, this creature is so much strong
stronger than you, it has so much more experience than you.
So you rely on that training, waiting for those moments
like a patient fisherman, using the shield, deflect,
deflect, deflect, an opening strike,
you know, taking those kind of beats to try and get in there.
But that is gonna be the full wall of turn.
He will just reposition himself away from the burning wood
and he's just gonna kick his dead guy out the way.
He does that.
Perfect, so after his turn, we,
We then go to, I believe, Ophelia.
What would you like Ophelia to do?
Get the big dude.
You want to go for the commander?
Yeah. No, actually, Warwick.
She likes wearing wolves' heads.
Yeah.
Sure.
I will do whatever, you want me to.
If she's heard him say, go and warn.
You all heard him say that.
She would charge down that walk, yeah.
What language would you have said that in though?
He would have said that in this sylvan language
that you don't understand, actually.
So we don't have.
You see him point at the wog,
say something like that sounds like the command.
Even before the command, Ophelia was ironed up that walk.
I mean, she does like to go for wolves,
but that's, is that too meta-gamy if we know?
You do what you want.
I was thinking she was gonna do that before that.
Sure, I can only say that.
Well, I'll tell you what,
because the thing is, is if Ophelia moves up close enough,
if she kills a walk, she can then start killing
these normal dews as well,
and get to the mage eventually.
Sure.
So do you want to let me?
It doesn't make sense that she, in her rage,
goes through the entire mass of boys.
It's also to get her blood points,
she needs to strike new creatures with her attacks.
If she strikes the same creature,
she doesn't generate as many blood points.
Yeah.
So she goes for the wagg, regular attack here.
Oh no, I'm gonna reckless.
So she would get an advantage on all the water effects.
She's raging.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's 26 to here.
With a D8 plus a bloint.
A bloint, I'll spend her blood point.
This is going to be plus seven.
Oh god, 15, 21 points of damage to the wog
with the first strike.
That nearly slays it, but it is just about still standing.
As she plunges Veracity into it, like,
Faye Bista, hate Faye!
Just starts stabbing into this thing.
She probably bite it next.
And then she, yeah, I'll go for a bite with her.
That, unfortunately, is, it will hit.
That's gonna be, I think we will be happy
if we said she drank the blood of a war
while like on its back.
Baby girl, while you were resting,
we had your girl.
12 points of damage with the bite.
She like sinks her teeth into
and drains this thing of its blood.
Great. You see this creature's just like,
what are you, it's like barking her
and gruff you hear in gobbling, like what are you doing?
Oh, oh God, ah, just like sinks her teeth into.
to move.
Oh my gosh.
You got unlatched and then...
I didn't expect you to do it in one shot.
You get the sense that the commander seems like quite a tough
sort of warrior and the captain was quite tough.
But most of these are just like the foot soldiers, right?
They don't seem like these are up to necessarily
the same standards as big heroes like you guys.
But yeah, that was Afeely's turn.
You don't call us a big hero six.
Both of her attacks, unfortunately.
So that is going to be her turn complete.
It's only.
Just don't do catchphrase.
Balala la la la.
The wog is dead.
Great.
So we go to the mage.
Ew, has no spell slots.
Has loads of spell slots.
That's a shit.
Set up a line?
Yeah.
Nice line, and with the army arcana rule,
I can ignore their allies.
Of which there is only one.
So we'll take a step.
to the side.
I'd say that this would be a lightning bolt,
but for flavor, I'm going to change it to a blast of,
oh, what should I do here?
Acid.
It's gonna become like a blast of acid
and it's gonna strike through Ophelia
and Stryl and Zanthius.
Dexterity saving throws.
I want to fate mine.
Okay.
Oh.
So how many people are spending fate?
Heroism doesn't help me, does it?
Not against this.
No.
So just Xanthia's doing fate?
Yeah, should have.
Okay.
Too late.
Would she like Aphelia to spend one?
Should you have danger sensor?
She'll have advantage.
Uh, I feel like she'll, yeah.
I think she's gonna succeed, yeah.
19, that will succeed.
Yeah.
24? It's a success, so it's half damage.
I've got a nine, so.
Full damage for Rowan.
86.
All right, seven, 10, 15.
Squeety type.
27 acid damage, so 27 to Rowan.
That would go to 13 for Xanthias and Ophelia.
Oh, Xanthius.
Oh no.
Sorcerers, baby.
He's a squishy boy.
And then, but with that, that is gonna use
one of her multi-attack actions to cast a spell,
and then he's gonna move up and try and just
whack you daisy with like a blast of,
well, kind of just sort of like a false sword with her.
How dare.
I know, how dare.
Doesn't, oh actually, it's a hobgoblin,
so Gitts, sorry, an unseely,
a peek behind the curtain.
Oh, ho.
Oh, I'm reusing stats.
God, I just saw the studio lights and the cameras.
Oh!
The unseely warrior will gain advantage
because it does count as an ally for their combat tactics.
So this is a melee attack that is gonna be 17.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, it does just hit, I'm afraid.
So this is gonna be force damage.
I have a lot of dice.
17 points of force damage.
With this blast of melee, kind of almost like conjures magic
into a sword shape and cuts through to you.
Get away, but you don't speak the language.
It just comes out as this ancient, Sylvan language.
Comes out like, fuck off.
You'll write that.
I just unfreege, I just unchape the printer.
Zantheis.
Right, um, Al.
Oh, at the start of your turn, may I have the remain your fires.
Oh yeah, go for it, here you go.
Perfect.
Yep.
This is now on fire.
Yeah.
That tree probably can't spread much more.
Or it does.
Bunker.
Doesn't go into the middle though, so that's a clear route.
Spread it around.
No, this is all like a dirt track, so it's mainly spreading through here.
through here.
We're all safe here.
So how is the warlord actually looking there?
He looks pretty good.
Pretty good.
Change that.
I could change it, it's just that mage I don't like.
But yes, I will do a, are they humanoid?
Could be.
What, they're warlord?
This is a problem, okay, could be.
Would you like to make a role?
I mean, they have to make an archa check.
arms and a head.
Make an arcana check.
What's a humanoid?
What's a humanoid in real life?
Yeah, it does fit a little bit of all
bite you in the ass, don't it?
Um, an Arcana check.
Yeah.
Eight.
It could be a humanoid's got arms, legs, head.
Can I make like a biology check?
That was it.
A dingus.
As far as you know, there's no reason it shouldn't work.
They look, you know, no different to a yacht and error,
a human or anything like that, it should work.
You'll be gaslit, humanoid.
I'm, I absolutely am.
I just Google Thomas, all right?
I'm not going to do it because...
Don't Google humanoid to try and work out what my monsters are.
No, I was literally Googling the definition of a humanoid because I was like...
That won't help you in D&D, my friend.
That's my least favorite rule.
I'm going to...
Maybe swap that spell out for something else.
Mark, is it a hummus, though?
Is it a hummus?
I will tell you it is not hummus.
I did have hummus today.
I had eat a pitter here in Bristol.
Oh, eat butter is so good.
Really? I've never had it before.
Really good.
You know what?
They also do, you know that too good to go?
Where you can get like, not sponsored, not sponsored.
I've never had it, to prove it, it might be shit.
No, it was good.
It's really good.
Yeah, I'd like really like the chili and the gurkin and then the flam.
What I've had it to and it is really good.
They do a very generous too good to go bag
if he's ever too good to go.
There you go.
Anyway, what are you doing, Xanthius?
If I did Adjur in my turn, I would get, frankly, reamed out.
I love the names.
I just eat a pit, eat a pitter.
You really want, maybe that's dinner.
I'm a fan of the name.
The quickly you decide what you're doing on your turn.
Well, it'll let you advertise.
Well, we stop.
Okay, I'll let you advertise.
Eat a pizza.
If you're in Christchal.
No.
Da-da-da-da-da.
McDonald's.
The original taste.
Is it the Waynesworld one where like,
hmm, the taste of a new generation?
I can't believe it.
How could any company sell their sold out for just corporate things?
My time?
You could have interrupted it at any point, my guy.
We were waiting for you.
I feel like that with anything I say.
I'm just waiting for you guys to interrupt me.
Right, I'm going to do a third level scorching ray at...
More fire, love it.
Yeah, but none of these are going to miss.
So one of them is going for that guard at the front
that Ophelia is next to.
The next three, or is it more than that?
Next amount of...
So it's three at the base level, and then you get more.
It depends on what level he casts out.
Oh, I'm doing a third level.
So there's four beams.
One of the guard, three at the mage.
The mage who has wind.
Croft's dead.
Yeah, no, there's a clear line, actually, to a mage.
Clear line, and I am glowing with such radiance and no...
This is a range spell attack?
They are range spell attacks, yes.
Against the mage, they will have disadvantage,
so that will cancel out your advantage.
So there'll be a normal attack against the witch.
That's why I'm just going nasty on him,
because I feel like the same for everyone.
So normal attack, right, so against the guard, to begin with,
watch this.
This will have advantage.
Advantage.
I'm good.
Is an 18.
Hits just barely, though.
These guards are very armoured.
Seven fire damage to hit in.
Seven points of fire damage, okay.
Is still up.
Still up?
Fine.
Three against the mage of regular attack.
Plus one.
Watch this drive.
Watch me go, here I go.
13 plus eight.
That's a hit.
Great.
Next one.
is that one! Next one is 13?
Is a hit?
Already wearing armoured roads, yeah.
I'm guessing a nine doesn't hit.
No.
Right, so 46 against the Dominant.
Of fire damage.
24.
10, 11, 13.
Quite impressive.
13 points.
13 points.
All right, fantastic.
Slamage.
The mage looks injured but not bloodied.
bloodied by these fire.
Almost that wind is maybe wepping some of the flame
and the heat away
and reduces the effectiveness of it.
And the guard that you did strike managed to bring up the shield
and just deflect enough of the heat
to prevent them from being killed.
Damn it. But it hurt a lot.
Oh, there's another guard right behind my eye line.
I did not see that guy at all.
I've got two like Twin Pines Mall in front of me right now.
Yeah.
Oh, there's the guy over here, yeah.
No, it's the one next to the guard next to Ophelia.
Oh.
It's like the perfect, no matter where I leave,
all the tree, yeah.
It is completely covered.
Yeah, yeah, so it looks like one guy.
But I will just, um,
I'll just move 15 forward just to get a little bit of movement forward there.
And as a bonus action, I'll just piss my pants.
Okay, love it. Rowan.
Actually, I will convert spells into rooms.
Whoa, whoa, you already said you pissed your pants.
Did I piss my pants?
Yeah, that was a free.
Crying is a free action, pissing your pants.
But pissing is not.
I think it would take a lot more.
Don't say it.
Do not say it.
No, you can do your spells, sorts of saying, Rowan.
Persing's just cry from the peahole.
Kenai is gruffeth of Tremoro within 60 foot.
Oh yeah, he's right there.
He's already got Bardick.
So there's no point given Bardic again.
That's fine, I'm not doing that.
Okay.
I would like to.
You would have got three more temporary hit points, don't forget.
Thank you.
And start his turn.
at a fourth level.
Oh.
Eight D4.
One, two.
Oh, be it.
Can you give me a D4 and I'll roll in one.
What?
What?
He's healing.
No, I like the heel.
What do you, what do you not like?
No, I'm not in range.
My health.
Yeah, his health is Garbo.
He's back.
I'm about to get triple attacked and is in the mix.
Yeah.
I'm about to get triple attacked and I've got 30 points.
He's got 12.
Oh shit.
I'm literally about to get murdered.
You can do it.
I forgot the first roll.
I have eight...
Just roll it again.
So just add up what you've got there and then do it again.
Eight.
Eight plus...
18 points.
Oh, plus?
Mm.
Three.
Mm.
21.
21 HP de Graff.
Sick.
That was your bonus action.
There's my blue one back.
Bonus action.
And then as my action, I would like to...
Okay.
I'm gonna get out of crossbow.
Okay.
Pull it back.
Like I've never done this before.
I like the idea that you're going to use a crossbow as a normal bow.
Yeah.
He's going to fire it.
Strong enough.
At Big Chungus in front of Gruffeth.
Okay, against the warlord.
Go for it.
We, uh...
Now, I don't have proficiency with this, so...
So it's just your Dex mod.
Now one.
Wow.
You snap the string of the crossbow.
Uh-oh.
You pull it and it just...
You can reassemble it, but...
Yeah.
I'm just like...
That's right.
He's going into the fire.
Into the fire.
Burn the evidence.
I don't have a crossbow.
Nobody sees this happen.
Literally none of your team see this happen.
You let go to the front so the entire bow fires backwards.
Into the fire.
Yeah.
Oh, shit.
And nobody...
The only thing that sees this is you see running away from the flyer
like this weird fade chip monk looks at you.
and then just carries on running from the fire.
Oh, embarrassing.
Anything else, Rowan, on your turn?
No, I think I'm mixed out.
You want to move?
You're happy there?
I've got a bolt through my leg.
Oh, well, that would have ended by now,
so you're back up to normal movement.
The ball fella.
Cool.
I mean, there's fire either side of me,
so I'm just staying.
That is spreading.
Yeah.
I might actually go near the ruins, the stone wall over here.
That can't catch fire.
10, 15, 20, yeah.
Hide yourself over there.
Yeah, perfect.
All right, perfect.
Perfect. Well, that is the end of Rowan's turn,
and I think that that is probably a very good point
for us to take our break, as is the top of a brand new room.
How many remain, warlord, two guards and mage.
Yes, the warlord.
There's another guy out there, yeah.
There is another guy who was hunting Daisy
and has seen Daisy now run from another tree.
It's like, aw.
Why didn't I look there?
We've got widower, widow, widow, whittled,
whittow, whittow, whittow, whitton, well.
Pudiket.
Uh, I do, I don't, I don't,
but yes, we do have the, the command
under the mage and a couple more of these guards.
The satir have been half freed,
but are probably able to help their companions
and will be able to escape.
But there is that risk of if any of these guys
manage to break away and make a run for it,
you may have to go chasing after them.
But with that, let us take our break here.
We will see you in part two, everybody.
Take care. We'll see you next time.
See you next time.
See you in the next part. Bye.
