Welcome back to Althea, part two of Althea, the Dragon Empire, everybody.
Our heroes have arrived at the Giants Wetstone, and having made their way to the top,
Xantheus and Rowan were caught in a tense discussion with Professor Braxton Brasquil,
who was conducting their investigation and potential extraction of the Giants Wetstone.
And, yeah, they crossed swords verbally until the professor.
was threatened, very much, was threatened with potential courts and legal action
upon which providing a writ, which Xanthius discovered was a forgery.
And with that in mind, there was an attempt of a hint of a potential bargain
of an agreement to reveal another source of authorite.
But then after being reminded by Gruff, Rowan went back on his word,
which angered the professor, causing him to burn the writ and teleport
him and his students away,
although Xantheists did a valiant effort
to try and counterspell his effort.
However, this did mean that the Dame,
the knight, Dame Vasha, who had been accompanying you,
was convinced that this was all wrong
and has sent the mercenary company packing,
giving you guys free access to the Giants Wetstone
and allowing Vricks and the others to make their way up.
Poor Vricks the Broken has pleaded at the Giants Wetstone
to be fixed, to be healed, but to no avail,
as their please go unheard.
But Rowan, upon approaching,
has heard a dreamy voice.

The loudest, the strongest, the most clearest you've ever heard it.
Coming from deep within this plateau itself, coming at you like pulses and rhythms and beats,
hundreds, thousands of drums in perfect harmony and symphony with one another.
and you know that this is not just music,
this is something so primordial,
this is the magic of creation,
this is something that has made the world the world,
and that the earth and the stone has this song.

This is a special boon.
It's a spell?
It is a magic item.

With this magic item, you can use a bonus action
to expend one of your Bardic inspirations
to begin playing the song of Stone.
Whilst you are playing the song of stone,
you can still cast spells, you can still speak,
and it isn't a concentration effect,
but you will need to play Sostanuto.
You can't use both hands.
You can't use a weapon while you're doing this.
Whilst you are playing it lasts for a minute
or until you are incapacitated or choose to end it,
Whilst you are playing the song of Stone,
you and all allies within range who can hear you
gain a bonus to AC and strengthen Constitution saving throws.
It's just the plus one, but also you can use a reaction
to spend a point of fate when an ally, not yourself,
when an ally takes damage to reduce the damage that they take.

Once you've played the Song of Stone,
you must then have a long rest to regain the use of it.

As you begin to sharpen it, all of those jagged edges
get clean, sheared off. But you, Rowan,
you feel from you, from something in your hands
like you are carrying a predatory beast

It wants to be the strongest, the most powerful.
It wants to dominate.
It doesn't care about protecting.
It doesn't care about lifting up others.
This is selfishness and power and hunger.
And as you feel the beat, it begins to ever weigh.
But it doesn't just go into the ether.
You feel it going into something.
And it is going into the dulled aetherite
of which you are currently sharpening.
and as you finish
Stone Razor loses its magical property
is now just a great sword
made of stone
and you sort of step back
but you can still hear that song
and now you know it
but as you step back
the Ulthorite stone
begins to move
and shift
as something
begins to emerge
pulling itself
from the stone.

As an enormous
corrupted earth elemental.
You see all those dull
all those dull veins
of Ulthorite
where they were like they had gone dull
they're now almost
they're so black
that there's almost a purple sheen to them
and they're kind of running through
and as this creature pulls itself up
they become like crystals in its body
as it pulls up a huge
chunk of stone behind it.
The earth almost kind of filling in and sort of collapsing in.
It does leave a sort of crater and maybe a hole going down
into where it's just emerged from, but this creature just stands over it.
It doesn't roar, but there's almost this kind of thunderous
cacophony that comes from within it, like a vibration that sort of shakes everything
around.
And that is going to be initiative.
Holy, everybody.

This is a huge creature.
Not four Rowans tall.
I'm so distracted though because there's this little tuft of grass
on the top but I don't.
On the rock that he's pulled up.

eventually replenish each time the rain's come.
