July 29th, the biggest event in boxing in recent years is going down.
Unified champ, Earl Spence.
It's putting his titles up on the line against, I think it's WBO.
Check that well-to-weight champion, Terrence Crawford,
in the battle of the best two welterweights in the world.
Some would say the best two fighters in the world.
And we have unified champion,
and Errol Spence rep in Dallas, Texas on Higher Learning right now.
Champ, how you doing?
Doing good, Kate.
I got a fighter that's fighting this weekend in Vegas,
so I decided to end my camp in Vegas.
Yeah, you're doing a promotion game too as well,
so you're on both sides of it.
It was really important for you to be a promoter from what I've learned.
Why is it important for you to actually control the game
as well as just be a part of it?
because a lot of a lot of fighters don't have we have poor representation especially you know with
promoters and managers because they really don't understand what it's like to be a boxer
or what boxing go to and i think if i if i if i'm a promoter i can what whatever a box is
going through you know mentally physically you know what fighters go to once they get to the highs
when they make a lot of money, when they get to lows,
when they don't have a lot of money, I've been to it all.
So my understanding is way different from someone who, you know,
60, 70 years old and more out of date.
We really don't know, don't know what a party is up to
and don't even know what, you know, you know,
today young people in the larger period.
Word.
So about this fight in particular,
there's been so much talk about who's going to win,
I'm bored with it.
I'm bored with trying to predict who going to win the fight.
I don't want to hear no more about it.
I don't want to hear anything about it unless I'm talking to one of y'all.
Now, I've heard that if you're going to win this fight,
it's because you are going to pound Terrence Crawford into submission
with relentless pressure and the angles that you can create,
the jab smothering him.
Is that the way you see yourself,
in the fight. Are you going to take Terrence Crawford
to Poundownown?
I think it's going to be
a number of ways
I'm going to be here. I think
your pressure definitely
boxing, definitely being
just fundamental using
my jab.
But the key to me is just
just being just focused 100%
not having laying legs
in the fight because I feel like
you look at the grace like four of me
a lot of the guys, they always was focused on their opponent.
It doesn't matter.
The guys who lose focus, even for a split second, you know, that can caution.
They're caution in the fight.
So for me, it's just stay focused, listen to my coaching game playing, and basically,
you're breaking them down, mincy, physically, and winning a fight in dominating fast.
So that's true.
You're going to take them to pound towers, what you're trying to say.
It's okay to say it, Ariel, talk your shit.
Oh, I'm punishing.
I'm punishing.
I'm going to straight punch.
Everybody's seeing the way I fight and see what I do.
So they know, like, if he can't hold up physically and immensely to how I fight,
you know, it's going to be an ugly night for him.
It's going to be an ugly night for him regardless.
Even if he can't hold up, it's going to be an ugly night for him regardless.

Yeah, I watch you fight.
I've seen every round you've ever fought,
should I say.
And it's times in the fight where I go, man,
Earl is enjoying this.
like you come across like a nice guy
but I gotta be real bro
you really like beating niggas up bro
you like punching the shit out of people
when did that happen in your life that you realized
being in there and competing somebody
and taking something from them
is something that you enjoy
it probably happened when I
when I used to score before I even fought
and as you got to enjoy me
that sound kind of sadistic
but
nah you know
I know you like it
go ahead
yeah
you gotta you know
kind of enjoyment
you know
putting somebody
being somebody
being somebody
wheel
I get enjoyment
and bringing somebody wheel
like when you break
another man
with especially
a grown man
you break his wheel
that says a lot
you know
another grown man
you're breaking his wheel
with your bare hands
I mean not with your
gloves
you're breaking his wheel
which that's
That says a lot.
And it means, like, you basically conquered that man.
You basically destroyed that man.
He just broke his wheel.
I know his family, his friends, and everybody watching.
And he's not trying to get, you know, his wheel broken in front of everybody.
And he just broke him.
You ever think about when you boxing in there, you know, you're breaking the man's will,
you're taking his will that, you know, his girl is watching?
You know what I mean?
Like his girl, because they always do this thing when they're fighting, right?
is they cut to the wives.
Yeah.
And every time they do that,
it breaks my heart
because he's women are down there going through it.
You ever think, like,
I'm about to take this man's will.
His girl is watching.
And who knows, she might be in my DMs after the fight
the way I didn't beat this man in front of everybody on pay-per-view.
I am not.
Because he's trying to do,
He's trying to do the same to me.
So I went through the cut and show his pan and show his girl.
I want him to show my girl.
And my girl is going to about to pull her out.
And my mom freaking out too.
So I'm trying to have it obviously.
I'm trying to break him.
So I rather his family cry to my family.
Exactly.
You know, I'll be honest with you, Errol.
You know, I thought y'all was going to fumble this, bro.
I was starting to lose faith in y'all, bro.
Y'all was getting on my nerves, bro.
I was like, yo, it's a bunch of fights every week.
It'll just be a different random fighter.
Some people, it would be like, Terrence Crawford versus Harvestesian or something like that.
And I'll be like, bro, what the, what's going on, man?
What took so long to get the fight made for all the fight fans out there?
Why did it take so long?
Just being in negotiations.
You know, now in today's time, it's more
Boxers, athletes in general, which is more, you know,
business savvy, you know, we know we have control of our career.
So, you know, it's a lot of different demands.
Some demands, you know, unrealistic and, you know, just, you know,
just far right.
But, you know, you try to come to a conclusion and make the fight happen.
So it just took a long.
times is kinks, getting out of kinks and getting out of wrinkles out of it.
But, you know, we finally got to this point.
But, you know, we, the ball, the ball almost pumbled probably about 30 to 40 times.
But we got to the finish line.
Got to the finish line.
That's good.
You know, I want to ask you something, and it's just about boxing in general.
I remember back in the day, I went, I had a Mexican friend, and he still is a,
a good friend of mine.
And I went to watch a fight with his family.
And it was Oscar Delahoya versus Bernard Hopkins.
And I get inside of the house and I'm watching the fight with his family.
And I realize very quickly that I'm outnumbered.
Because I'm looking for Beehop to go to work.
That's what I'm looking for.
And the whole family, obviously, I didn't think about this,
is rooting for Oscar Delahoya.
So, you know, Bihop stops him with the body shot.
And I'm like, oh, so what that.
And I look and everybody's looking at me.
I'm like, yo, man, I might need to calm down a little bit.
Are y'all cognizant of that when you guys are boxing
in terms of the fact that boxing is a heavily racial, ethnic pride driving thing?
Like, have you ever been in the ring and been like, man, I can't lose to this white boy?
Like, how you ever...
Yeah, for sure.
That's how...
It's how it's like...
It's really...
It's really...
Like, that's something that everybody think about,
like, especially if you black, like,
losing to, you know,
to a white guy.
Like, there's not...
That's, like, taboo in the black community.
You know, it's...
You lose a fight to, you know,
to a white guy, you know?
Might be, you know, sad to say,
but it is.
It's just what it is.
That's how we grew up.
But, yeah, I am kind of sensitive how just racially divided is.
Like, you got countries, like, this guy might be Argentina.
All the Argentine is gone for him.
This got Metson, all the Metson is going for him.
And it's kind of sad because, like, with the blacks, it's not like that.
It's like, it would be black versus a Mexican, and they're going to go for, you know,
some blacks are going to go for the Mexican.
You know what they're just divide.
But, you know, when it's, you know,
masked or white or Russians or got from the UK, you know,
they people are going for their guys, you know.
But with us, you know, it's more, you know,
of argument.
And if you put it in the blood of me,
and I got to pick him, yeah, you don't.
But, you know what I'm saying?
You would like to see that.
Right.
Yeah.
Bro, you know, I'd be boxing, bro.
You know, I'll be in there, man.
Oh, yeah.
trying in a,
you buy,
you,
you,
you,
you,
you,
yeah,
I spar,
you know,
I spar,
you know,
and it was interesting
in how you just did that
because when I said I box,
you think,
you know,
I'm hitting the paths
and you're like,
he don't really get in the ring,
but I get in the ring,
I get,
I get my bell rung a little bit,
you know,
I go up against people.
And it's lonely,
dog,
you know,
I'm,
I'm confiding in you right now
because if I'm on the basketball court,
and I got somebody in front of me
and I can't get a bucket, I can pass it.
I can set a screen.
But when you in that ring
and somebody just whooping your motherfucking ass,
it's not much you could do, bro.
And nobody can say you put yourself taking the knee,
quitting your coach throwing in the towel
or the referee stopping the fight.
That's all the three of people they can say in the fight.
Is when you are to that point,
where you are, you know you're in a fight
and you're being pushed to your limit
to where it's like, damn,
what is the thing that you do to make sure,
because sometimes I get hit hard
and I just go crazy.
And I'm like, look, I ain't no bitch.
So whatever.
And every time that happens, I get beat up.
Every time.
What does Errol Spence do
to control his agreement?
in moments where the fight gets really, really super rough.
Because in this fight right here against Terrence Crawford,
I guarantee you the person who can dig the deepest is going to win this fight.
What are you going to do?
What do you do to stay focused when it really, really gets high level in there?
I think they come from experience, you know, being, you know,
having not the exact situation, but having some situation like that.
and it just come from just
you got to have
I feel like you got to have an if factor
and that's what the grace
and the good and
the something what grace had
like guys like Maywell
and Koto and I have a guy
they had something inside them
you know that you push them
they're gonna push harder
and my whole thing is
if somebody push at me
I'm definitely gonna push harder
and in my head I'm like
I give it to point out like
man he got me fucked up
I ain't going
I'm not going.
And my, my instinct, their flight of flight instinct,
a lot of people have had their flight instinct
where they, you know, they're going to quit
or, you know what I'm saying?
They're going to crumble.
With me, my instinct is always fight.
Like, I got to think of a way
to get out of this situation,
or I just got to fight fire with five
and try to back him off.
So that's basically the situation as I being.
I just, I just fight fire with fire.
You're coming at me?
I'm gonna come at you even more older.
Two times you harder you probably.
Is that the Dallas in you?
My co-host, she's not here right now,
but she is from Oak Cliff in Dallas.
And so she always be acting like she hard, bro.
You know what I mean?
She'd be acting like she's hard.
I'm from Baton Rouge.
I don't know if it gets much harder, you know what I mean?
But she'd be acting like she hard because she's from Dallas.
She's very, you know, her daddy was a judge and stuff,
but she still, she'd be, though, reping Oak Cliff and all of that stuff.
Is it the Dallas?
in you, you fight for Dallas?
Is that one of the reasons why, you know,
you got that dog in you like that?
Because I was out there, man,
and I'll be honest, just to deal with the heat,
y'all got to be some dogs.
It's ridiculous in Dallas, bro.
Tell us about growing up there.
Like, what kind of fighter that made you?
Oh, yeah, you definitely.
You're growing with Dallas.
You're fighting all the time
and, you know, in this situation,
this school, fighting this thing,
fighting this plea,
and all the type of situations
on the part of that.
And, like, there's no quitting me.
He's just how I was raised by my mother and my father.
And then they just fit in them no type of, you know, standards.
And when I play football or any sport I played, like, you know,
it was no quit with my dad.
I didn't want to quit in front of my dad anyway or him to see me quit.
Like, it's been times as far or whatever I look at outside to see, you know,
and I actually look at his face and see, you know,
how he feels about what I'm doing.
and the sparring or what I'm doing
in basketball, football, whatever.
So, you know, it was always
to make my parents happy
and don't disappoint them.
That's my big thing.
And then once I got kids,
it was, you know,
get them a bit of life,
you know, make sure I made the most out of boxing
and I walk away, you know,
with my mind attack
and my finances grade too.
that's the main thing for me
and a lot of boxes
I don't realize that they just
want to fight
I want to fight the best
yeah I want to do
when I was younger
but now
you know what I'm saying
I'm trying to get paid
yeah I want to fight the best
but it's all about
you know getting paid
and getting that to the game
and not getting views and views
but as you said before
yeah it is texted
because I gym is about
100 and some degrees
and I gym
and it's human than it too
so you know what I'm saying
like
I gym
my leader
like you got to go outside
just get a breath of the first year
yeah
because it's so hot now
you know and we got a tin roof too
so you stand still like the heat
you feel of the heat like coming down
from the 10 room
like it's a real old school jump
right
man
um
that's crazy
as soon as I get in the gym
I turn the air on 65
bro I need to be able to breathe
I don't know John is all right
we just got fans that run
they just blow hot air
nah bro I need to be
trying to get you know
um
Look, I got a question for you.
So, you know, you're undefeated.
Terrence is undefeated.
There are a lot of fires in the game now that are protecting O's.
Let's be real.
I'm a big boxing fan.
They're protecting O's.
And for people who might not be as deep into boxing is that when I say protecting
O's, I mean, they're protected undefeated records because the most skilled fighter of
our generation, Floyd Maywe were the Jr., never lost the fight.
And that was a big part of his narrative is that he never had a bad night under the lights.
there is a conversation amongst boxing fans
about whether or not that is good or bad for the sport, right?
About whether or not Floyd himself
and the way he went about things,
as much as awesome as Floyd was,
and as amazing and untouchable as Floyd was,
whether or not that was good or bad for boxing
as far as big fights being made.
What do you think Floyd Mayweather's,
in terms of the way he went about the business of boxing, the matchmaking, or anything
like that that fans might be talking about.
Do you feel like that was good or bad for the sport like Floyd?
As a boxer, Floyd was great for boxing.
Floyd is great for boxing.
He basically, you know, changed sport.
He got paid more, you know.
He took the fights on his own terms.
see everything happened on his own turn, you know, and just, you know, the way he was getting paid,
you know, things like the way he left to sport, he left to support with his brain sitting
and take, you know, still a boatload of money, crazy money. And he was like, yeah, he didn't
lose, but, I mean, it's not his fight. He didn't lose. He fought. He fought.
Probably, like, putting something, world champions and beat them all. So, I mean, it's not
his sport. Just like, we're pack that. He didn't fight Packer.
at this time because he wanted to pack out
to take a drug test and pack out
taking a drug test and pack out finally
his drug test, you know, and there's
a little bit older. I mean, that's not his fault.
I don't blame for not fighting him.
I mean, he's suspected
him to be out of something.
So, I mean, because a lot of people are saying he
was on something. So I feel like
Floyd was great for the sport because he made
it, he made more
boxers think about the business
of boxing rather than
rather than
and, you know, just shutting up
and just going and go fight.
And he taught a lot of boxes.
Like, people don't understand.
He said a hard work dedication.
And with a lot of boxes,
they get mixed up with what Florida's
doing with the Ferraris, Lambo,
Lord Royce, Big House, and jewelry.
Okay, he got out of that,
but how they get it?
Hard work dedication.
He stayed in the state,
work, and state training.
Never came, never got into a fight,
half-step, and never got
tired in the fight.
You know, he always worked on his craft.
His model is hardware dedication.
He was pretty well before he was money made with it.
And a lot of kids, a lot of young boss who tried to be money away with it before they
pretty war.
So it's just a certain thing you got to go through.
A lot of fighters there understand that they just see the money and see the jury,
the cars, and all that.
And they don't see how he got out of it.
They're just looking at it right now.
where he got out there for hard work and dedication.
So I salute him, and I think he was great for the sport,
because he made more boxing to become a business man,
rather than just being just being the fighter in the boxing.

I got two more questions for you, champ.
I'm not going to hold you forever. I know you got to get back to
training and I guess like, you know, eating salmon and running
or whatever you're doing. Your weight's good. All of that's good right now.
You get out. Yeah, I'll be watching the all-access.
Yeah, I wake up. He's like, I wake up, I eat.
And then I go and I spa for seven hours. And then I run.
And then I go to sleep. I'll be like, man,
God bless these motherfugglers.
That's crazy.
I see y'all doing this.
It's a dedication.
There's a lot of talk and rankings in terms of fighters.
We rank fighters top in the division, top pound for pound, anything like that.
Since you've been fighting at 147, you've always been one, two, three, you know, since you've had a belt as far as, like, you've been up there and stuff.
Are there any fighters out there that you look and you say,
I just don't see how this guy is ranked this high?
Are there any fighters that you think are crazy overrated
in the way that people look at them and view them
and you don't see why people have them in such a high regard?
Nah, no.
You feel like people normally get that about right?
They don't get it about right as far as the rank is, but,
I mean, all of them are supposed to be there.
I mean, the rankings can be different,
but all of them definitely supposed to be different.
Like Terrence Crawford himself,
he has looked at
as the most versatile fighter at 147.
It's going to be a handful, Errol.
He's looking at the most versatile fighter at 147.
It's a switch hitter.
He's a great athlete.
I saw this video on YouTube a couple of days ago
of him,
deadlifting like
475 pounds
and it looked like when he looked in the camera
that he was looking at you,
I'm not going to lie, bro.
It looked like he was like, yeah,
saddening with that.
You know,
what do you feel like
your biggest advantage
against Terrence Crawford
will be a guy who's so highly rated
who's so skilled
besides size.
Obviously you're a naturally bigger guy.
But besides size,
what do you feel like
you're a big advantage?
advantage over Terrence Crawford would be.
He definitely not more skilled to me.
He's not more skilled than you.
You don't think so.
No, he's, it's a different for me in talented and skills.
Talented guy gets the skills is something you learn.
You know, like, I'm like, like, let's say
Kevin Gardner and Tim Duncan.
Kevin Gardner is more talented than Tim Duncan,
but he's not more skilled than Tim Duncan.
you know what I'm saying?
That's the same thing with me.
He's more talented,
me, guy giving ability,
you know,
do different things,
but he's not more skilled than me.
I feel like I got way more skills than him.
And, yeah,
he's extremely gifted.
You know,
I say, like,
he might be like a,
not far as, like,
reflexes,
but he'd be like a,
you know,
Roy Jones-type gifted type guy.
But as far as,
is, you know, skill-wise, Bernard Hawkins were more skilled
than Roy Jones.
But Roy Jones is more talented than Bernard Hopkins.
So that's the same, you know, I feel like that's the same for me and him.
I mean, it's going to be a huge task, but, you know,
I'm willing to do it.
It's going to be a huge task for him to be me too,
especially like how he did his other approach and trying for all of them.
I feel like he can't do nothing to me to the aspect
like he's done the last.
I think he beat like the last 10 or 11 guys he knocked out.
I feel like he can't do nothing,
nothing even slight the same to me as he did to them.
All right.
By the way, you know, just let you know,
KG going to hear this.
He's going to be mad, bro.
You're going to, Kevin Garnett going to be like, why?
Because the KG and the KG and Tim Duncan thing,
used to just the, I'm a little older than you that used to torture KG.
He's going to be like, why Earl Spence this and me right now?
But like what I did to ask me?
I'm not this.
I'm not doing.
I'm not doing.
I'm like,

Let's talk about Paironi's disease, or PD.
It's not widely talked about.
And some men may feel reluctant to bring it up, but it's more common than you'd think.
PD can happen when scar tissue builds up under the skin of the penis, causing a curve
with a bump during an erection that for some men may lead to,
pain during intimacy and impact mental health.
A trusted urology specialist can help diagnose PD and walk you through your options,
including non-surgical treatment.

So last question I want to ask you, you know, I told you I'll be boxing, but rappers be boxing
too.
Yeah.
It's always, you laughed.
See what happened?
I want everybody to hear what just happened when I said that to Errol Spitz, Jr.
he laughed because
Errol Spence has seen these videos
and sometimes y'all put these videos out
and y'all in the midst
and y'all be thinking y'all be going ham
it's good so I'm gonna do this
we're gonna do an exercise real quick
it's called rapper rounds
I'm a name a rapper
and then you tell me how many rounds
it would take Errol Spence Jr
to take this rapper out
if y'all was fighting.
You down to play this game?
Yeah.
Drake, how many rounds could Drake last with you?
Man, it would be 30,
probably 45 seconds.
He got a little beef on it or so
he'll probably take some shots to put up
and meek.
Meek, how long is meek going to last?
But you can show that now.
You see me hit them down, hit that bag, man.
He's going to break out a wet pepper bag, nah.
All right, okay, let's go up and wait a little bit then.
Let's go up and wait a little bit.
50 cent.
Arrow Spence and 50 cent.
How many rounds you feel like 50 be boxing, though?
He used to box, yeah, he used to box.
But he ain't and not say it though.
So, I mean, a lot of these guys, it's just,
how many seconds I would want to take them out.
But, I mean, I get him probably two minutes.
Two minutes.
Okay, two minutes.
You didn't say from Meek.
So I'm assuming for Meek is like 15, 20 seconds?
He'd probably take five seconds.
All right, last one.
This guy really be boxing.
And this is my something that you might look at down the line, you know, after your career,
when you're just stealing money from people fighting exhibitions on Zeus,
work or whatever it is um elspins versus blueface
blue face blue face hold on before before you do this champ before you do that blue face like
six four you know what i mean he a south paul like yourself he'd been fighting for a little while
bruh you know he he he got you he got he's a little bigger how long you think you and blueface if
Blue phase is in the ring with you.
How long would that last?
I mean, it's, it looks like he'd be taking serious if you box and stuff.
May it probably be, probably be a minute.
Okay.
So I'm looking at this.
Rick Ross, I saw Rick Ross hitting the heavy bag, too, but, you know, we'll leave
the boss out of this, man.
He, he.
He big as a year.
Big as hell.
So, okay, so Rick Ross big.
So then you're saying that he might last a little bit longer?
I would think so unless I hit him in the head
So is there a rapper in the world
That could make it to the second round with Errol Spitz
If you were trying to take them out
Is there any rapper in the world
No
The most of young rappers be skinny, little
No
Yeah
champ you focused bro
you focus because you took that
way more seriously than I thought you was going to
like when I thought you was I said that he's like
nah 45 seconds I saw your brain computing
how you would take these guys out
is so I'll ask you one last question
has there ever been anybody
like rapper athlete
actor whatever that you've seen working in the gym
that you've thought
he looked like he could fight
Oh
It was somebody
I can't even
If somebody
I don't know who
I think
You know who was
Maybe Michael B Jordan
You ever seen him
Workout for Creed
He looked like he'd
Take it pretty seriously
Nah
I didn't
I never seen him
I want to say
No
I was it
Who was he
He was somebody
Um
It was somebody
That was a guy
That was hitting
That was in
the bad guy
Toby too
Toby, Toby, I
Toby who?
Toby,
he rap
He's African
Oh, no, yeah
Yeah, from Houston
Yeah, from Houston
Now I see him in there with
I seen him in there with Charlie
Yeah, I actually
When I saw him in there with Charlo
That's my man, I actually hit him up
And I was like, yo, I'm gonna be in Houston pretty soon
you know, I asked him if he can give me a couple rounds.
Like how far, like I'm just give you some specs real quick.
You know, I'm a softball.
You know what I'm saying?
You know, I do my thing.
I'm, um, I'm six four about two, two, two, two sixty five, two 70 now.
How long do you think I would last if we got in the ring?
You know what I mean?
If it was me versus you like, how long you think I would last, you know?
And I was, in our time, is you?
Yeah, you're trying to, you know, you're trying to take me out.
Look at this.
Let me give you the shoe shine right there, champ.
You know?
It's over.
It's over quick.
Yeah.
It's a rock.
You'll be new, though.
You say 260.
Yeah, about 265, 270.
Yeah, I'm a big guy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So next time you get on here, I'm going to show you some video.
I didn't want to push you too much, you know, because I might jump in there and take a fight.
You might be promoting me.
I might want Frank Martin.
I might want Frank Martin.
You know what I?
Frank Warner.
Frank one about 5'4.
You know,
I might want Frank Martin.
I might want to jump in there.
Or, I mean,
do you got any heavyweights?
Yeah,
we got Auntie Joshua.
Okay.
All right,
nah,
I don't want to.
All right,
okay.
Champ,
thank you so much
for joining us
on how I learning.
Great luck.
I'm wishing you luck.
I'm wishing
Crawford luck,
but more than anything,
I hope both of y'all come out of this
healthy.
and ready to do it again,
I think it's going to be a razor close fight,
whoever wins,
and I hope that we get a couple of these,
maybe even a trilogy,
so they all can make as much money
for your families as possible.
We appreciate you joining us on higher learning, brother.
Good luck and continue success.
