How We Got Away with Murder - 114: The Night Lila Died
Episode Date: June 18, 2026Nine Tony nominations for Death of a Salesman, Matt caught Purity Ring in Florida, and the season one finale is officially only one episode away! Episode 14 is, by their own assessment... ten...se: a priest who won't break the sacrament of confession to save himself, Rebecca duct taped to a chair, and Nate getting jumped in his cell. A lot. Wes and Laurel visit Rudi at the psych ward and the Rudi/Rebecca plotline starts clicking into place with a ton of heavy lifting from Alfie that pays off beautifully. The flashbacks fill in the gaps on Lila, Rebecca, and the frat house, including some PCP which is totally normal. Meanwhile Annalise tells the priest no god should forgive her and she won't confess to her sins, and Connor gets his HIV results back with Asher waiting in the wings for the fist bump. Matt and Jack get into Jack's semi-controversial take that Annalise is not actually a good lawyer, the Reddit HTGAWM x Scooby Doo crossover (Asher was Scooby, obviously), the church murder scene that looks like a video game, and whether Annalise would even care about Bon Bon and Douche Face getting their flirt on. Plus, Matt might have an Irish dance coming up on the show. Stay tuned for that.We want to hear from you! Hey, everyone. My name is Matt McQuarrie, and I played the character Asher Millstone
on How to Get Away with Murder. And I'm Jack Falahey, and I played Connor Walsh on that
very same TV show. And this is the How We Got Away with Murder podcast.
hey jackery howdy howdy how you doing oh i'm all right i'm doing all right
yeah how about this weather oh my lord i actually don't even know what your weather is like what is
your weather like in new york you're not where i am it's really nice it's like a beautiful it's
80 degrees wow yeah that's good good good stuff feels like spring is officially sprungeth
definitely nice yeah exciting day in new york today was the announcement of the tony nominations
and death of a salesman got nine nominations that's awesome so uh we're very excited about
that so cool yeah really cool i was trying to think if it's like i think it's close to a record
i think it's gotta be like i think so because i think the most nominated play ever might have
been stereophonic like last year the year before which was like 13 and then i think before that it
was 11 so i think nine's up there you know wow that's really cool um yeah really any specific
one ones of the awards that you're um thinking about or that are standing out i assume yeah i
mean i'm really jack knowles our lighting designer i'm really excited he got nominated um direction
joe montello i mean the all the actors nathan and laurie and chris all got nominated which i'm
really pleased because they've just been you know breaking their backs every night on stage yeah
wow so yeah it's it's exciting and then our cast won the new york critics best ensemble so i'm
going to like a little award show on thursday nice i love that congratulations thanks also
some friends of the podcast got nominated that i feel like we should shout out stephanie shu
got nominated for rocky horror olden aaron reich got nominated for becky shaw and then aya cash
who you know got nominated for giant oh wow so amazing crazy it's crazy to be at like an age
and like working as long as we have or we're just like seeing peers get nominated for the biggest
award of all time i'm just like right yeah yeah yeah no we know some talented people it's true
that's so cool i love that yeah very cool yeah i went to a a show a music show um for a band
called purity ring which was really cool yeah it was great there was a it was in florida and
there was like i was scared because there was like a tornado warning and but apparently it's
not uncommon like in florida and also there was like it's a standing room only
venue no umbrellas are allowed and it's outdoors and like uncovered so you basically have to bring
like a poncho and i got like a i got like all this like gear like a waterproof poncho and like
waterproof shoe covers and like a fishing hat that could also cover my face so that my mask
wouldn't get wet um but thankfully it didn't rain during the show that's so cool though you looked
like a like a like a cyberpunk like video game character i left it in the trunk of my car so
someone okay so that'll have to be for a future event but i got to meet mj who's the who's the
singer and she was really cool and she wore masks during the show which i love oh cool um yeah
there's like a covet consciousness about it and um they were giving out uh like branded you know
like kn95s with like their stamp on it oh like like merch that's kind of cool yeah uh which was
cool too so it was one of the few times i imagine i'd ever be in florida and feel uh like 100%
comfortable like being in a mask around other people yeah just you know that i wouldn't be
sort of the only one so yeah that was really cool purity ring is like they're like an electronic duo
right yeah yeah okay i think i've heard some of their stuff well that's cool yeah stream stream
purity ring yeah do it and she's gonna come out with some solo stuff which she did some of her
she was her own opener um with the solo stuff and it was really cool it's just like her and
guitar ukulele i think guitar unless there's like large ukuleles yeah yeah so that'll be coming
at some point as well i like i like when artists open for themselves you know like i remember years
and years and years ago i went to like i think maybe the first billy eilish concert in l.a oh
wow oh wow and she was you know she was like 16 or 17 or something but she was like a friend of
a friend and so somehow got i got the invite and i'll never forget the one of the things that
really stood out to me was her mom who you know her parents are like very supportive and involved
but her mom was in the crowd like you know we're in like the little like vip section or whatever
which truly for her concert was like a tiny little section so there were like 10 of us
right and i just remember her mom filming the entire concert on her iphone and me thinking like
oh she's not gonna have to do this for very long like there's gonna be videographers and you know
whatnot but apparently i've heard that her mom is still filming like the entire her entire sets on
her iphone which is really which is adorable but i brought it up because her her brother phineas who
like you know produces all of her music opened for billy eilish with his solo stuff which is
yeah yeah his solo stuff is cool but um i just remember being like wait isn't that her brother
and then he like you know comes on stage with her so but i was i was like when artists do that
yeah that is really cool okay we are we're nearing the end of season one we are it's wild
It is wild. It's it's especially wild given I just, you know, haven't seen any of this.
I mean, yeah, but it's coming back in bits and bobs. Like at the beginning of this episode,
I really didn't remember any of it. And then towards the end, I started to like get sort of
like fugue state memories like through the mist of like, Oh, yeah, I do kind of remember this.
um but today we are recapping season one episode 14 the night lila died it was written by michael
foley and directed by laura innis who maybe is our first repeat director is that true i don't know
we'd have to check the tape but yeah laura laura directed earlier in the season um and so she's
back which you know if an episode goes well and then you know the cast and crew had an enjoyable
time with the director and pete i think was also and bill delia our producing director were both
very good about this where they would like check in with us to see who we really enjoyed working
with and laura was at the top of that list so it's no surprise that she comes back as quickly as she
does yeah the air date was february 26 2015 and our shoot dates were december 19th through january
14th because we had the baked in holiday break which would have been like two weeks right right
i'm gonna quickly read our guest stars we have tom effort scott playing father andrew crawford
lily birdsell playing agnes wills we have conrad ricamora playing oliver hampton we have megan
west playing lila stangard lenny platt playing griffin o'reilly danielle kennedy playing the
nurse nick warnock playing attorney trent stockton and marie weiss playing judge clarice redding
and to recap we guessed the titular line matt you guessed rebecca and i guessed nate yeah with that
hit us with the log line yes well flashbacks pull back the curtain on the night lila died
as annalise's team defends a priest accused of killing one of his own and the walls start
closing in on everyone who knows too much wow wow that is one long sentence um also before we dive
in i wanted to bring up that on reddit i saw someone did uh how to get away with murder
characters uh if they were in scooby-doo and they said asher was scooby which i thought
wasn't really great interesting that is true yeah that's pretty funny
we'll be right back and we're back um all right recap we go right into the recap also it's uh
i haven't really been like like taking note of this but i thought it was interesting that
viola gets the like previously on how to get away with murder voiceover line voiceover yeah which
i'm not sure that she maybe has done yet in the season but she has she has okay yeah she has i
remember hearing that and being like oh this is the beginning of her illustrious voiceover uh
career including like the voice of delta delta yeah you can now hear now every every every time
i fly delta i just get soothed by viola davis i mean that started when we were on the show i think
yeah that's that's a contract that's that's a contract baby yeah that's showbiz i mean she
deserves it obviously for sure i hope they're flying her for free as well that's true yeah
this is a weird tangent but um i remember in the script when when like some of the characters i
think my character specifically instead of calling her annalise called her ak and i remember thinking
i was like i don't know if i like that it feels like kind of like forced or something like that
but come to come to find out over time as we're like making our notes on the doc in uh of the
episodes and stuff that i do refer to her as ak a lot i think even on the podcast i refer to her
as ak a lot well i think that it became like it became shorthand for like the set pieces like ak's
house right like it became i i kind of i mean maybe this is what you weren't feeling but like
i i think that that rubs me in a weird way because it feels like something we would say on set but
not necessarily like in the show naturally you know yeah i can't think of a time where i've ever
called anyone by like their first and last initial especially like someone that is superior to me
and sure age or station or whatever asher does it a number a lot i think that on the show he calls
were ak and i always remember it felt like it did not roll off my tongue right but now but now
real life matt mcgory yeah does say it yeah we always say it yeah yeah yeah okay so viola gets
the uh previously on vo and we jump right into the recap and this is i think the craziest recap
maybe of of the season where it is giving us everything lila and mr darcy griffin o'reilly
and rebecca are suspects griffin frames rebecca rebecca didn't kill her why is your penis on a
dead girl's phone which maybe now is the most repeated line on the entire show like we've now
gotten it like 10 times um Lila was pregnant Annalise and Sam fighting Rebecca stealing the
laptop we kill Sam Sam's phone was at the sorority Sam's ring was found in the woods Nate was
arrested Rudy's a freak who OD'd they go see Rudy wet wet wet wet wet the water tank I mean it's a
lot a lot um and we immediately jump in uh to this these intercut scenes of wes and laurel
at the psych hospital like in the hallway having literally just spoken to rudy and then west going
back to his apartment so we're we see him like kind of pausing at the door hesitant to like open
it because of now the suspicion that he has we go to the psych hospital right after the whole
interaction with Rudy and like Wes is really spiraling out about this wet thing and Laurel
thinks she's reaching we then I think get the titular line right there from Wes yep and it's
kind of buried in a line it is which feels it's cheating it feels like it's cheating
they were cheating us uh knowing that we were in this podcast uh you know yeah 10 years later
One day guess the titles and boy, oh boy. I mean, it seems on a little unfair. So we were both wrong and we will be, be into an inch of our lives. That's right. Tony will be busy this week, obviously because of the Tony nominations. So maybe we'll get a little extra time. Yeah, that's right. Um, we then go back to the apartment. Uh, Wes is coming home to Rebecca says his phone died at the library. She pushes back and it's like, no one had a charger at the library.
it's immediately very intense he apologizes to her and hugs her um we get a great shot of
katie's eyes like changing from you know sort of like doting girlfriend to you know something more
uh nefarious maybe behind the eyes as as they're like hugging wes um which was just great like i
love seeing little like private moments like that in scenes we then go back to the the psych hospital
where wes thinks he needs to confront rebecca and ask her but laurel thinks that's a terrible idea
we go back to the apartment where rebecca is asking if something's wrong and kind of pushing
back on wes we then go back to the psych ward and laurel's worried that if wes you know spooks
rebecca then she'll go to the police and say they all killed sam and disposed of the bodies since
she wasn't really involved in all that um and then back to the apartment where you know west
says he's been distracted has nothing to do with her back to the psych hospital where we should
tell annalise and laurel you know kiboshes the whole thing and says no we should go home and
act normal for now until we we know what's up and then we go back to the apartment where uh
yeah west is like i'm always honest with you i love you and then smooch smooch smooch and then
they have sex um and you know wes obviously doesn't know that rebecca tracked his phone
sure how she tracked his phone we don't know yeah but she apparently has the capabilities to do that
she's not the oliver hampton is not the only hacker it seems that's true in the murder universe
maybe nate gave her uh some sort of software there we go um you know that's my that's my
thing or you know i think you joked last time but it could have been like an early air tag
situation where she just put like a little tracker on him but the yeah the tension uh
throughout this scene between wes and rebecca and the apartment is really just really well done and
like very high the tension is very palpable um and there's a couple of those yeah private moments
even in the beginning this scene when wes is coming in and rebecca you know katie turns away
on the bed and you you can see and she's in the foreground you can uh you can see the expression
change um on their face you know it's it's really good it's also you know i'm never gonna probably
get over this and maybe at some point i'll just stop mentioning it but um you know it it is hard
for me at times when people are like saying things that should be private within like earshot of like
people you know like when wet when laurel and wess are in the psych hallway and talking you know
not too quietly you know with rudy in there i mean i think the assumption they're probably
making the assumption that like you know his cognitive abilities are are such that like he
could not hear or process the information but that's like a really bold assumption because
you know sometimes people can't express things but they can you know understand you can't express
in a certain way but they can understand things totally yeah yeah so and yeah the the sex scene
was a little confusing to me here you know i was like because it also felt it felt maybe initiated
by rebecca um i don't know i could see it being maybe framed as like a control thing for rebecca
of like you know trying to hold on to this guy that's i guess like her life raft like has been
protecting her i i couldn't fully understand especially like i think elfie does really
great work in this episode throughout of like really unraveling and i i don't really
i mean i guess the argument could be made that like he is trying to act normal and so he's like
having sex with his girlfriend because she initiates it and he doesn't want to you know
make her suspicious in any way but it kind of bumped for me too where i'm like this seems
this seems a bit intense yeah um yeah but sure um we go from there and we poppy pop which we
haven't seen a bunch of poppy pops because you know we'd caught up to night x um but we are going
this whole episode is going back to the night lila died as the title suggests so we're five
months earlier rudy is in the apartment um he hears shouting through the wall and we do another
one of those crane shots where we pan over the top of the the wall dividing the room and the
scratches are not there yet the scratches are not there yet that's right yep that's notable and also
a bit confusing to me because i'm like does that mean that he the scratches were all that night
i think so great okay yeah so well he really had strong nail beds that yeah he like in one night
just completely dug through drywall yeah well i thought i thought maybe it was going to be like
developed over like weeks or months of him like a good idea experiencing like a shock yeah exactly
but no it's just like one night he's like wolverine yeah exactly okay so yeah the the
scratch marks are not there uh we go into Rebecca's apartment we see Vi oh I just had a thought I'm
wondering if this could possibly be connected like the PCP like we don't know yet what actually
happened to him right like if he I mean we know that he took some drugs but it does PCP I mean I
think that I feel like what I you know the urban legends around PCP is it makes you like super
human is is the idea that maybe he took the PCP and then somehow that reinforces nail beds no I'm
just kidding but that somehow like yeah so i looked into this a little bit because i think
the i think the media representation of pcp is maybe maybe like sensationalized like i don't
think media never does that i don't think pcp really does that i mean i don't know i've never
done it but i sure i was like looking on reddit and like trying to read firsthand accounts of
people using specifically snorting pcp because that's what happens in this episode right and
yeah i'm not fully convinced it it has that effect maybe it does though like if you you're
not like a drug user and you know i think they call them like drug tourists like people that
like just try drugs and then oftentimes i think the big big adverse reactions that we like hear
about like someone running through the street naked on whatever is someone that has like taken
too much of a drug that they have like no experience with right interesting right which
rebecca kind of says later in the episode yeah yeah so but yeah that i like that theory that
maybe he is given a bunch of pcp and that's what happened i mean very well that could be what
happens sure obviously we don't i wonder if we'll find out but yeah we might yeah imagine we never
find out about the wall scratches that we've spent like i know 30 minutes of television
anyway lila's really distressed she's trying to give rebecca her phone because she doesn't want
to deal drugs anymore have i already forgotten this that lila was dealing drugs for she was right
i guess i guess so i'm trying to remember as well i feel like
vague i vaguely remember that yeah which makes sense on the inside of the sorority system you
know yeah totally and i guess this is her her dealer like burner phone that rebecca has given
her presumably she says she's getting back together with griffin and every bad thing that's
happened in her life is rebecca's fault something interesting about this scene was that katie has
hairs out of place at the beginning of the scene which is like very abnormal for our show
you know they usually like catch stuff like that i mean when you watch a show like ours
or really any show that like everyone's hair has to be you know continuous right and because you're
filming these scenes over many hours they what they do is they call for last looks where your
hair person your makeup person will come in right before they you know are about to hit record on a
new take and they'll like touch up your face your makeup they'll make sure your hair is perfectly in
place so um maybe they didn't call for last looks which sometimes happens and like that's that's
sometimes dramatic on set when you know people don't get last looks i often my last looks were
mainly me just being like patted down for sweat sure um but yeah i noticed that like at for the
first like 15 seconds of this interaction katie has like what they call flyaways and then they
cut to a new like camera setup their hair is perfect again right um do you think oh okay so
yeah it does go back to being perfect interesting okay so yeah they don't they don't keep it right
like it was it was clearly not intentional i guess yeah yeah um anyway lila's saying that
she wouldn't have flirted with mr darcy if you weren't in my head all the time and she's just
blaming rebecca for everything yeah and then says i'm done acting like some trashed out druggie
and you know that may be fine for you but my parents raised me better yeah so fucked up it's
super fucked up i guess this i guess this is supposed to like start to set up the idea that
maybe rebecca did kill lilo and that there's like a lot of tension between them right yeah i think
that makes sense yeah yeah i've seen the fallout and stuff yeah i felt very sad for rebecca um
watching this yeah yeah not the last time i'll feel that in this episode yeah that's right so
then lila runs out rebecca chases her into the hall um and she turns she's crying rebecca's crying
and she turns and sees that rudy has seen the whole thing um and tells him to like you know
mind his own business and then we get the title card we'll be right back now back to class
we then go from title card to
Colliver apartment
they are kissing on the couch
and it's getting hot and heavy but then
Oliver ejects and says he wants to get
tested because Connor is a drug addict
who is sleeping with strangers
and I am holding
my emotional support pillow
I really like that Oliver does like a reverse
somersault off the couch to get away from
making out with Connor
I thought that was really funny
and i i love that i love this that we like have like all for wanting them to get tested you know
because i think so much on tv and and in films with sex like you just see it's just like immediate
and you're like did they put a condom on yeah it doesn't seem like it you know so i really like
that they're taking the time with this i love that they dropped some stats it doesn't feel to me like
overly prescriptive but it feels like you know he's like dropping the stat that at least at
the time one in five gay men are hiv positive and half don't know it which i did not realize
those numbers um i also went onto the cdc website to look at more stats and there's like a note at
the top from like the trump administration saying that they were forced to restore the page because
of a court order but how the administration rejects any information on the page about
promoting quote-unquote gender ideology what a hellscape um christ yeah yeah it's pretty wild
but i guess they had taken those pages down and were forced to restore them um but yeah i mean i
know you know part of where this storyline goes but i just appreciate with this much distance
from it seeing the you know the way that it's kind of the foundation is laid and and like you
know it's important you know tv it's it's important it creates you know change and stuff
and i know that you had a lot of direct experience with that which i'm sure we'll get into as well
totally yeah and this would have come like this would come straight from p you know like he he
was he was very passionate i think about about telling this storyline in particular in a very
real grounded and educated way yeah so yeah i think we're gonna we're gonna see it play out
and even get to which i think we talked a little bit with pete on his episode about how it like
affected real world change yes storyline totally all right so we go from there you know connor
connor like agrees you know oliver is like we will get tested together we can go to the clinic
together we'll be romantic and connor agrees we then go to nate in court bonnie is late coming
into the back of the court she says it's traffic frank says oh i was hoping you'd have gotten laid
and we quickly pop back to frank watching the basher uh car you know car park parking structure
sex scene um yeah i still don't know why frank is watching them yeah yeah okay uh the judge denies
bail we then go to the hallway where nate passes annalise without any words just absolute ice in
his veins understandably um and annalise is clearly mad that he hasn't fired his dumb lawyer
which then made me think like would you i i don't think i would have fired if i got slipped that
note from annalise considering everything she's done to me i don't think i would have fired my
lawyer yeah i probably i probably wouldn't have either i wouldn't have trusted her yeah i also
wonder where he like retained like i guess he just like because like nate doesn't have a job
right right okay yeah but i feel like i don't know the the benefits for police officers or you know
like when you're i don't know oh yeah probably when he was fired he probably got like crazy
benefits because of qualified qualified immunity right jesus christ i but i was thinking about it
i was just like given the hellscape of public health in our country i was like his wife has
stage four cancer that's got to be incredibly expensive was he just kicked off of you know
the the philadelphia police union health insurance i wonder i kind of doubt it honestly yeah yeah i
kind of doubt it um you know just for killing someone i don't think that that's what they
you know i think that's not part of it um supposedly killing someone um allegedly yeah
yeah but yeah i also i'm i'm just for some reason seeing this angle of the this is like a newer
hallway that was built but i'm reminded that this was so often what was called for the audience our
holding area yeah um the holding area is like where the cast basically sits like there's like
the cast chairs that you've right probably seen in in you know on it if you follow anyone on
fucking tv they're you know photos with like the chair with their name on the back and they're all
like set up in a uh some place and it was just i feel like so many we spent so many hours sitting
in that hallway oh my god um yeah so anyway flashback to that yeah i have photos of you
like eating your like meal prepped like tupperware meals in that hallway yeah with your like cooler
backpack because you'd bring all your snacks and everything yeah that's right okay so we then
a priest walks in i don't remember any of that and we meet father crawford and he is
murdered a fellow man of the cloth uh what yeah we pack a lot of plot into 45 minutes yeah we
really do 42 minutes yeah um annalise wants him to give a bit of a performance on the stand but he
won't and then a lady walks in agnes we learn who works at the church and all of a sudden he wants
to withdraw his plea and you know annalise is connecting the dots that it must have something
gonna do this lady we're gonna bookmark that for now she uh addresses the court and the judge and
says that uh her personal crisis made her pressure father crawford into taking the plea deal and he
would like to withdraw it um we then cut very quickly to asher to just get a reaction shot
and it made me think of like how long we were in these courtroom scenes to never be seen
yeah like we would have been there for 10 hours yeah and you literally don't see me
yeah you don't see anyone except for you we quickly see you and that is it oh my god yeah
just think of all the time wasted acting i know it's funny i do think now i'm like if i if i went
back if i if if i was in that situation today would i feel differently about it i mean some
part of me feels like i would just be like okay you're getting paid a lot of money just to be
sitting here um but but but also you know that like that also only does so much too you know
what i mean like um but i don't know i won't i won't name the show but i was talking to someone
who's on a medical show not not a shondaland show but a different medical show and they were they
were kind of not complaining but they were kind of saying like it's tough because they're in the
background like the hospital they're just always in the background right and so like they're they're
just working all day every day and as he was as this person was saying this to me i was just like
yeah man like i sat in i sat in fake court for six years yeah i get it um but of course a very
good problem to have but just funny how little we are seen on camera for how long we were in those
rooms totally um but it's because they can't fit it all in you know yeah of course of course yeah
and and right they can't have in the background it not be us you know what i mean like exactly
you know um but i i mean i don't know this to me like the fact that annalise was able to like
sort of like pivot in this way makes me think i know against your sort of contrary to your
controversial opinion that annalise is not a good lawyer my super controversial opinion
that viola yelled at me about on social media right that's true yes exactly it's gonna get
the podcast taken down yeah exactly yeah yeah um but i don't know i was like i was like wow that's
pretty that's pretty bold and she's just gonna like roll into that um it feels like it also
would have career repercussions for her to be like yes i fucked up this guy and made him uh plead
guilty you know when he should plead pleaded not guilty um also the music here slaps this is like
so good my favorite so far like music on the show and i feel like i wanted to go find that song and
i will go find that song all right we then go to the frat house it is a flashback rebecca is
snorting pcp yes as one does yep as one does yeah i don't know i mean we've talked about this already
a little bit but like this seems like a incredibly difficult thing to give actors to play yeah you
know just like casually adding it in just and like i don't know it seems like a really intense
drug to choose like yeah i guess now it would be like ketamine or something maybe or like i just
don't know why it's not cocaine just because cocaine feels like the like they clearly wanted
like a harder drug like a more a more alarming i guess drug i've never been told by someone that
they've taken pcp in my life you know i've been told many times about ketamine or cocaine so it
does seem you know very out of left field and then the other sort of frat guy says like doesn't that
make people go crazy or something like that right yeah yeah that guy's great by the way yeah yeah
yeah yeah um and and then they're just they just take rebecca's word for it or at least yeah which
is like i'm not if i meet rebecca at a frat party i'm not trusting that person right also seems
wildly for someone who has such a high stakes career path i mean what do i know but um you know
like he's been invested i'm sure he's been like you know working on being this football player
since he was like a fucking child and you know and it's his entire trajectory and he just does pcp
yeah yeah it's crazy do they drug test uh like college football players for yes not just for
performance enhancing but for like like narcotics and stuff surely i think if i think you get full
drug panels right yeah i don't know maybe i'm wrong about that but like i i don't think maybe
this is like a d3 because it's like supposed to be like an ivy week maybe maybe like i put but
even then what am i talking about like if you're the quarterback right of a football team i think
you're i think you're fairly dialed right also if your pcp gives you super strength you're just
like tearing people in half on the football field like if you think pcp is like i'm imagining like
from the boys just like running through someone he's throwing the football all the way from from
touchdown zone to touchdown zone right just throwing it through people through like the
whole defensive line exactly yeah maybe maybe we see that i don't know later but i i thought it
was crazy that they just like take pcp but sure they're like weirdly bonding like rebecca and
Griffin you know she she mentions that it's the first time she's been inside of a sorority house
because they're in the sorority frat house they're in the frat house right I think so yeah that's
right they're in the frat house and she says my parents didn't give me a hundred thousand dollars
to throw away on college which like really bummed for me because I'm like I think it'd be close to
like three or four hundred thousand dollars is it was it really you think I think so man I think
that like I think it costs like seven sixty thousand dollars a year to go to a Ivy League
i mean now it costs i feel like that much to go to like i don't say a regular go to regular school
like i'm trying to like think about how much like the college that i went to i don't know uh yeah
just quick googling it says that like uh 2015 harvard tuition was 60 000 so that's like you
know let's say it's 250 now it's 85 000 wow wow we need to fix the education higher education in
this country wild um so anyway that that that kind of bumped for me um rebecca's like clearly
flirting with griffin she asked for a tour they go up into a bedroom and she texts lila from his
phone saying come over i need to see you and then they start having sex i'd forgotten about the
texting and that part was true yeah wow um we then go to laurel and wes wes is going through
rebecca's files he took from annalise's basement we're in the kitchen he wants to go over you know
he wants to fact check basically everything she said about the night lila died but kayla comes in
hi michaela we haven't seen you yet first time we've seen her she breaks it up says they're going
on a field trip and you know they were looking okay when they were looking through the transcripts
also this is so i think this is the second reference to the cellar the first time i think
it seemed like a wine cellar i think was when annalise was like hosting a dinner or something
like that yeah um and i know we said previously that the cellar's never seen but i just remembered
watching this i think we see the cellar in the next episode i could be totally wrong about this
oh but i think that something happens in the cellar in the next episode interesting i i could
be totally wrong but it could be the image in my mind is it is a basement and maybe i thought
it would make sense that they're like planting the seed you know a bit closer to it wow yeah
yeah i think you're i think you might be right yeah tune in to find out right also when i was
at this concert i was talking to someone and it came up that i guess they were from florida and
they were like they're like lived here forever and they're like i've never seen a basement they're
like they don't have basements in florida and i was like oh yeah i guess in areas where there's
like flooding all the time it just never even occurred to me or la la doesn't really have
basements really because of like earthquakes jesus yeah well i guess there's like subterranean
garages and stuff yeah but there's it's very rare to have especially depending on neighborhoods in
los angeles like i have my house is on an unfinished basement which is very rare but it's
because they're such an old house yeah okay right but yeah there's many yeah there's many places in
the country which is always so funny because i grew up in the midwest which is like mega basement
culture right like most of my like formative experiences in high school were in basements
wow that's wild you know like yeah first kiss first you know you name it you fill in the blank
it was like first time snorting pcp first time snorting pcp right yeah it was definitely in a
basement in michigan or like or like a you know like a farm field or like in the woods yeah yeah
that makes sense also i was gonna say this part bumps for me is laurel picks up an apple from the
table as a distraction starts eating it immediately but she doesn't wash it first to me that's the
most suspicious thing just just picking up some nasty apple that someone's been like everyone's
been touching, you know? Yeah, totally. That's so good. Okay. We go from Michaela. We're going
on a field trip to class. We learn what a not guilty plea is. We learn about lying to yourself
as the attorney when you know your client is guilty. Um, and then we start intercutting with
the church where we see the Keating five and Bonnie, and they're talking to janitor Joe played
by dan martin um who's telling them about the night where he discovered the body and the murder
weapon the church is really pretty i like all the stained glass yeah it looks great on camera i
vaguely remember walking in this church yeah asher has a fun little flirtatious aside to bonnie about
racking up sins which i thought was great made within three feet of everyone else yeah but asher
asher is like very openly flirting with bonnie throughout the entire like he's being so reckless
yeah true we then go to annalee's talking to agnes and agnes insists that the father
is a pious man and they haven't acted on anything um we're then going to we then go to connor
asher and michaela who are interviewing a student which also feels inappropriate like don't talk to
random like high schoolers right who say that another student named brian died by suicide
hanging himself after like spending a lot of one-on-one time with father crawford in the dark
room doing photography asher goes for this like fist bump with connor after they both like make
jabs at priests being pedophiles and connor leaves him hanging yeah um we then go to annalise who
confronts father crawford about this like possible molestation and crawford says that brian confided
in him that he was being abused not by father crawford but by someone else and it was the
priest that he killed father bernard that was abusing him and he says that's why i killed him
but i would do it again and he reveals to us that he learned he can he got confirmation that it was
father bernard when father bernard came to him uh during confession and confessed to this which
was a dumb move by that priest and also crazy and then i mean i just have to point out this actor
tom everett scott who's playing father crawford is so good yeah he's great um i remember liza
being really excited about him being a guest star on the show like is that right yeah and and me
being like oh cool yeah yeah um yeah he's really great he is knocking it out of the park we then
cut to a really cool church murder scene super super like maybe my favorite murder scene we've
seen in the show where i mean it looks like a video game almost he's like fully backlit he's
like swinging the incense holder at the priest on the ground it's really there's like a haze machine
working over time it is super cool yeah he uses it like one of my favorite medieval weapons which
is the mace yeah totally you know yeah yeah exactly also probably smelled good good af in
there because he's frankincense in those things that sounds so good well yeah just bashing that
yeah we then go back to you know him and ak and him saying i know i know what i did was wrong i
just don't feel it was wrong right um so he's not like really showing much remorse which not good
if you're trying to get a lenient sentence annalise then explains to the k5 why they can't
convinced the jury it was manslaughter because father crawford will not break the sacrament of
confession and tell them what he learned about father bernard connor wants to go for the the
lovebirds angle he references some like tv show yeah i don't know that show never heard of it but
i it did make me real i don't chuckle the thorn birds i think is what it was called i guess it
has to be real right i would imagine so yeah it is real okay okay yeah but it did yeah it's you're
like it's pretty good it's pretty good yeah really kind of an uncharacteristic connor delivery i
don't know what i was going for there but i i kind of laughed when i saw it too yeah asher then does
a really funny like irish impression yeah leprechaun what is this yeah something like a
little yeah irish jig the diddling priest yeah i also later do a professionally choreographed
irish dance on the show but it was after i stopped watching it and i wondered if it was cut yeah it's
like later like later professionally choreographed like i like went to like a dance studio with a
choreographer to to work on this irish jig that abc set up yeah what yeah yeah i i i feel like
you do it you do like like river dance i do a little like a brief river dance yeah in front of
me i saw it no no no okay imagine i completely deleted from my memory you doing lord of the dance
no i think it was like in my i think it was in front of my mother character later on in the same
like right around the time what in the world are you talking about by kellen coleman and i think i
think it maybe was deleted i don't know at that point i was just like oh i look forward to seeing
the memes of this i never saw any memes so either people didn't care about it um or or it just was
cut from the guys please tell us if it's cut yeah or if we have that to look forward to that is so
funny yeah holy cow i also really love asia's delivery as michaela where she's like so you're
happy that a boy was molested and he died by suicide anyway we then go to wes will not shut
up about rebecca intercut with rebecca and griffin having sex and the flashback lila walks in and
rebecca is is pleased with the result of her machiavellian uh scheming is he really worth it
now yeah is he really yeah yeah uh wes is then convinced an eyewitness saw rebecca near the
sorority you know he's explaining all this to to laurel and he sounds a bit crazy rebecca calls
saying that she laurel tells her him to pick up and act normal so rebecca calls he picks up
and says that she has to go pick up a shift at the bar which is a call back to me being like
is she still working at the bar right and he's like oh do you really want to go back there
so she is but also how is rebecca making money like how did rebecca pay rent yeah
you know that's a good question yeah rebecca has no income right now a gofundme was set up perhaps
or something yeah maybe maybe there is like a like an annalise defendant fund right that would
make sense anyway the the whole time i was like wait a minute is rebecca the bad guy because we
see rebecca walking up to the campus police right office building which we then go to father
crawford will not break the sacrament of confession and you know they're in the church it's a really
nice scene between him and viola um and you know she's saying life is messy father we all have to
make compromises in order to be happy and it's it's just a really nice scene between the two
of him and he like he basically offers to do confession for her and she she says no god should
forgive me for all the bad things that i've done and you know that we're wasting time and she won't
she won't uh confess to her sins which i thought was a cool sort of like meta moment for the the
show yeah i thought maybe she was going to take him up on it me too i did i did for a second as
i'd love to see that that would be really cool yeah we then go to asher asher's at the bookshelf
you are doing some very funny physical comedy flirting with
is this the book you were looking for is this the book just like popping your butt out it was
so good there's a meme about this one that was like if you ever need a shoulder to cry on
yeah and then it's like the shoulder is like over like pointing to like the butt uh like my butt
like which i don't fully understand but i don't really understand that either yeah yeah um frank
then like just walks in because like we're you know we're in a public place in the house sure
and pretty much catches them almost flirting and you have a really good uh transition to like
playing it straight of like this is exactly the book i was looking for which i thought you nailed
um annalise wants frank in the office she asks about frank's connect at the jail and he asked
did something happen to nate and and annalise responds not yet which then we immediately cut
to nate getting jumped in his cell which is so fucked up um we then go to connor at the clinic
connor can't remember how many sexual partners he's had he he starts at 20 but after some some
uh questions from the nurse who she is absolutely nailing this like the care that these nurses give
i feel like in my life i've experienced this where like they're so like they've seen it all
and they're like they are capable of both like supporting you but also like kind of pushing back
a little bit being like really you've only slept with that many people um and so he goes from 20
to 40 pretty quickly um and he is not doing well he goes to albert they're waiting so the rapid
the rapid hiv test only take 20 minutes to get your results and so they're like waiting in the
lobby uh but he like is not doing well and says he has to go to class yeah and which i thought you
know i was like not great connor not not great that you're not gonna like wait with your partner
to get yeah your results yeah i yeah he also said connor says that he he always uses when he receives
uh he's receiving anal sex but only about 80 of the time when he's giving it because he heard it's
safer and the medical provider the nurse says uh basically it's false and you can get it from
giving which i mean it's interesting i googled it turns out it is quite a bit higher risk receiving
than giving but she does make the valid point just to like no but it's still risk like don't do that
you know yeah yeah um which you know makes sense yeah exactly we then go to bonnie who comes to
annalise and tells her that nate was beaten up and then she realizes in telling annalise that
annalise was the one that set up the uh attack uh and bonnie kind of i kind of like that like
you kind of see bonnie like lose a little bit of respect for annalise in this moment i think
i think this is the moment i don't know we just we get the idea that like she i don't know that
like what frank and annalise do is separate from what like bonnie and annalise do like i think
before i kind of thought oh like bonnie's been involved in some of the really sketchy shit too
but but like as we've seen like where we dropped in on the show like annalise has like lost some
trust for her but it seems like clear to me that like frank and and annalise get up to some like
extremely sketchy stuff that yeah i think that's right part of yeah i think that's a good
observation um and annalise kind of says like well how else were we gonna get him out of jail
and ronnie informs her that the the judge already denied the the bail request and instead put him
in solitary confinement which is abhorrent and just like man annalise has absolutely destroyed
this this man's life yeah yeah if they get back together i'm gonna lose my mind you know they
will they must yeah i'm gonna lose my mind yeah she put him in solitary yeah she ordered a hit
on him i know there's like 30 men coming in that room too because they know it's a beat up to beat
up uh you know billy brown or nate lahey they needed like you know yeah entire football team
man yeah yeah yeah so then we go to asher to me yeah we go to asher um he we're gonna put asher in
to chat up the judge on nate's case so he asher doesn't really know like exactly why but he is
anxious to uh impress annalise and so he agrees and goes to chat up the judge and introduces
himself as uh you know judge millstone's son and frank you know just takes a bunch of photos you
have like a great like little delivery before you go into frank and bonnie um it's just like a good
comedic episode for you like you're getting a lot of really juicy bits which i enjoy yeah i also
keep thinking back to when when charlie was a guest on on on the pod and he was just like basically
you're doing like broad comedy and like the darkest show ever and i'm like it's so true yeah
I don't know, for some reason it hits me that way.
And it's so necessary.
Like, it's such a welcome, you know, relief when that happens.
Yeah, yeah.
We then go to, Annalise goes to Agnes
and wants her to do something, perform for us.
And she does.
We get her on the stand.
And Agnes says she can't lie anymore,
which then leads her to lying on the stand
and saying that her and Father Crawford were being intimate,
giving him an alibi to the murder.
Father Crawford, very upset.
We then go to the hallway where Connor is crashing out about the test results, and I liked that Asher and Mikayla both, like, advocate for safe sex here.
Yeah.
Like, even Asher's, like, you wrap up your ding-a-ling-a-dong, right?
Yeah, it's funny that, like, oh, even Asher knows, you know.
Totally.
Like, yeah.
Yeah.
Connor gets a call from Oliver, who is negative, which Connor doesn't love.
Right.
Well, at first I was like, wait, why are you mad that Oliver's negative?
But it's more that he is upset that the doctor will not give his results over voicemail, which they're not allowed to do.
I don't know about, you know, in Pennsylvania, but I know in like New York, in California, they have to give you your results over the phone.
And so he thinks it's bad news and Oliver's like, it doesn't necessarily mean that.
Um, we then go to Wes is walking around Spruce, the street where Rebecca was potentially spotted near the sorority. Um, and he, he questions whether he's going crazy and Laurel thinks he might be. Um, and then we flashback to 1 30 AM where Rebecca is on Spruce. We see the football player, the eyewitness seeing her and she has to catch the gate to get in.
which bumped for me a little bit where i was like are there are there gate are there locked gates
i mean maybe now but like i grew up in like a big big greek life town and like you could literally
just like walk up to a fraternity door um and then i also was like wouldn't rebecca maybe know the
code of her and lila like our friends i guess yeah i don't know so we're at the sorority and
she's walking in uh we then go to agnes being cross-examined father crawford cannot handle
her lying on the stand jumps up pleads guilty to first degree murder it's very intense he he they
both nail it um he's then being handcuffed and you know it's going to be carted away and agnes
runs up crying saying that she loves him and and he just responds i don't love you which i thought
was a very beautiful way for him to kind of release her of of their whole thing that's the
point right that's i think that was yeah it was interesting that we don't state it more kind of
explicitly but you know there's only so much time and you know especially for like a guest yeah guest
star kind of yeah i think i think for me i i was just like oh he's like gonna go to he's gonna go
to prison for 30 years potentially um and he's just like you goodbye right i don't know it's
also interesting to me because i'm like like i don't know he's he's like so he's like so
he has so much faith in like the the prison system also too you know what i mean it's like
that this like um arbitrary sort of like thing that i don't know it just seems interesting to
he's like no i feel like this was the right thing to do but because society has set it up that i
should be going to prison for 30 years i'm going to do that yeah you know what i mean like i yeah
the logic doesn't really hold for me that much yeah but he is a man of god and won't break the
sacrament of confession i guess he's pious he loves pies and he loves pies yeah yeah yeah
we then go to the hallway and Connor is HIV negative.
He's spoken to the doctor.
Yay.
This is the iconic fist bump.
The iconic fist bump?
The iconic fist bump.
Asher and Connor have a fist bump.
At least for me, it's shown up in my comments a lot.
People have been posting that gif of our fist bump.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, that's great. I love that. I haven't seen that. Please send it to me.
Michaela notices Laurel and Wes like having a kind of panicky conversation, calls Connor over.
I guess Asher just sits there and doesn't doesn't go over.
Right.
Wes explains that he thinks Rebecca may have lied and killed Lila.
Again, your favorite thing of us having, you know, bad conversations, feeding away from people.
I mean, this is just really, really, really, really good work from Elfie.
he is he is Wes is unraveling in a very beautiful way I think um and then Michaela Michaela is like
all business and wants to find Rebecca we then go to Nate uh has been released on bail because
of presumably what Frank did but we don't know quite yet Annalise goes to his house
tries to get him to call the damn number he he's all he's all beaten up he's got like
lacerations and everything on his face. And he says, you know, at least his, his lawyer got the
judge removed. And Annalise is like, no, I got the judge removed. And then we, we show like Frank
taking the photos of Asher talking to the judge and sending them to the lawyer as a conflict of
interest because Asher being one of Annalise's law students, I guess. Yeah. And so then that
gives nate like a little bit of pause of like oh maybe he should maybe she is advocating for him
and maybe he should call the number yeah he does a really good job here like taking in that
information and then making that change about like kind of acknowledging that he'll call the number
um the number's gotta be like a guest star right like we're gonna get like
is is it like is it famka i don't think she comes in this early no i don't think she comes in season
one well it'd be season two right oh i see like introducing her at the end of season one i mean
i guess that's possible i don't know why he has to call a phone number someone can't just call him
too i don't know it just feels very right i don't know it feels it feels strange to me also where's
his wife what is where's naya yeah yeah and i mean last week she was in the hospital so oh she was in
the hospital okay she's in the hospital great all right we then go to wes and rebecca's apartment
and we are all waiting for Rebecca
as she returns home
and she has this like walking up the stairs
from her bar shift
and we're all at the top of the stairs
and it's like very foreboding.
We then cut to us inside
and we're all badgering her,
sort of cross-examining her.
Connor says, spit it out, psycho.
Laurel is all of a sudden very suspicious of Rebecca,
which I think is like a weird shift for her
throughout the episode of like
trying to talk Wes off the ledge.
They give her some, like, pretty, like, hard-pressed questions for Rebecca, which I guess I get, like, just the lawyer and Laurel wants to, like, you know, get to the bottom of it.
But I was, like, a little bit confused why, like, it would, I feel like it would almost, like, serve the scene if Laurel was the one kind of, like, pushing back and advocating for, like, guys, she didn't do it.
Right.
You know, you know what I mean?
Yeah, I do hear that.
yeah yeah anyway we then get you know michaela and michaela just like is doing her her best like
annalise impression saying you know she kind of like slaps rebecca yeah she you know then says
that you know if she doesn't tell the truth she will personally destroy rebecca um did you or did
you not kill lila and then rebecca explains you know we saw earlier the campus police office that
she has found the officer that saw all all of us leaving annalise's house with the rolled up sam's
body and rebecca has this don't make me call him which yeah really intense to go to like
threat mode when i'm like just say you didn't do it yeah yeah i i guess you know i know i thought
that too it makes sense for me in a way though i guess right like it's like it's so devastating
you know she's she's already had such trust issues for so long and then she's like probably trusted
for the first time in her life like with wes and and then to have that trust betrayed that she's
just like you know like a traumatized you know dog like backed into a corner and you know now
she's just trying to like bite you know yeah i think that's right and i think that like
she kind of looks to wes and wes says answer the question which which to me is sort of
pushes probably rebecca over over the line to your totally yeah we then go to
To Annalise's house, Asher is asking Bonnie if it is just a coincidence that the judge was on Nate Leahy's case, to which she says yes.
She just lies to him and says, yeah, that was a coincidence.
And then Frank walks in, catching them finally, flirting, and says, you know, don't worry, I won't tell Annalise.
And then he's like, actually, maybe I will.
and the whole time i was like why would annalise care yeah i mean i guess bonnie is on such thin
ice with annalise right like that it could seem like you know right professional but that is a
good that is an interesting point yeah yeah i don't know i it's just like it was a little like
it's clearly a threat and i guess that is the point but then i also was like why i guess frank
is upset that she has given him shit in the past for being you know romanticizing with with uh
romanticizing with uh what's the word i'm looking for students oh oh being intimate with or yeah
you're not romanticizing but you know what i'm saying like that he he has been in cahoots he's
been knocking boots with uh students yeah he's been knocking cahoots but yeah i for me i was
just like i think if if frank went to annalise and was like bum bum sleeping with with douche
face annalise would be like i don't care i have so much going on yeah that's a good point honestly
she might lose some respect though just because it's asher i mean but you know yeah maybe i don't
know but you're right we'll we'll see if it comes up later yeah and then we go to
to I think the last scene of the episode where Annalise comes to Wes's
appointment is like, what's, what's, what's the problem?
Like, why did you call me here?
She's obviously been summoned with the bat signal.
And she walks up everyone.
We all are like in different corners of the room looking very distressed.
Yeah.
I like that they didn't even show my face.
I'm just like, kind of like curled up, almost like hunched over.
Yeah.
I like that too.
by the window right yeah by the window that's a cool image because they rarely do that you know
like they usually want to like see your face for whatever reaction so i thought it was cool that
laura decided to like no we don't need to like just this like acting this body you know story
is good yeah yeah laurel kind of laurel oh carla's doing her like shaking hand acting here yeah which
was really good i noticed that too yeah um and laurel kind of like gestures to the bathroom door
and annalise walks up slowly and you know it's very ominous where like the door is opening
slowly and we think for a minute like did they kill rebecca and the door opens and reveals that
rebecca is duct taped like she is duct taped tied you know hands behind the back and duct tape over
the mouth yeah it's wild it's wild i was just remember as as as annalee starts to go by by
laurel i start i just get a flash like oh shit now i remember it's wild how the memories pop
in like that you know what i mean at these like like at these random moments um yeah totally
but that's a it's a really intense yeah ending yeah i remember filming this scene actually it
came it kind of came back to me i don't weirdly i don't remember like standing outside and waiting
for rebecca to like walk up to the exterior of the apartment or like in the hallway but once we got
into it and we're all like yelling at katie i i remember that day on set um and i remember
i remember them like trying to decide on like how she should be bound like if it were rope or duct
tape or right um and yeah and then her obviously uh Rebecca being tied up the way that she was and
then I think Katie they were like such a team player because all that stuff is obviously so
uncomfortable no matter how like comfortable and safe they make it you know but they they were
being like yeah a real sport as you would say yeah yeah it's Asher's future bathroom too
ash's future bathroom yeah yeah remember it's yeah right right just imagining asher like throwing up
in there after drinking too much and stuff after this really fucked up event i saw a comment on
reddit that people i don't know if i brought this up last time but like people are frustrated that
like we forget things that have already happened that we've already talked about sure sure and i'm
like yeah sure yeah yeah i get i mean that's i get i could understand that being frustrated but
like the them's the brakes like we it is our brains are just you know disability justice means
that you know you don't always get what you want sometimes you get what people are capable of you
know so take that certain people on reddit yeah they were they were talking about us talking about
the uh the trophy because i made like a comment a couple episodes of being like i still don't know
what the trophy does and they're like it's been established so many times what the trophy does
right it's really funny i was like well i still don't know right right well whose fault is that
yeah no one uses it oh yeah anyway all right that's the episode what do you think that is it
very tense very tense feel a lot of a lot of emotions for rebecca and yeah remembering what
happens yeah yeah i'm not trying not to spoil anything but i'm like oh man oh no rebecca
i also thought you know when they were like they keep kind of being like she's a loose cannon you
know you can't say this thing otherwise she's not that much of a loose cannon anymore but then
obviously this uh reinforces that yeah she does and i think i think your point's well taken that
like because of her trust issues she clearly reacts in a way that probably doesn't protect
her case that much you know like she she does things that are make it more suspicious and uh
you know dubious that she's telling the truth um which is unfortunate but it's like another form
of like self-sabotage in a way maybe yeah you know and like katie obviously they they knock it
out of the park but i think that elfie does a lot of heavy lifting too where like yeah it's a really
hard position to make you have to make west like do this 180 pivot of like yeah protecting and
defending rebecca to completely turning on that just from meeting rudy and i think it's it's
you know kind of a big ask in my opinion from as far as the writing goes and i think that elfie
like really delivers on that like i think this episode i i i saw and it's a testament to how
much like work elfie would do on these episodes yeah like he'd be up all night you know yeah and
you can see like how well thought out his unraveling is throughout the episode like it's
yeah and when you're playing like a decline like that over one hour of television you know it has
to be really specific and i think it i think it is i think it does get to this point where
him saying just answer the question uh like i fully believe that like wes is at the end of his
rope yeah totally and i look it makes sense too because you know that we've established
theoretically that they're telling each other everything and then you find out that there's this
huge lie you know what i mean where she's pretending not to have known this guy and all
that stuff which i i'm curious to find out actually we've i'm curious to know if we find
out why she lied about that too you know like couldn't she have just told him that you know
and then obviously what she says about the campus cop and kind of makes her look even more guilty
to them obviously yeah exactly yeah um yeah i'm excited to see the season one finale i know me too
yeah yeah absolutely crazy see the season one finale and in elfie's mind the series finale
because he didn't think it would go past one season of television can you imagine though that
it wasn't until after we shot the last season back home and then he found out there was more
seasons his agent calls him is like you know you have to be back in la in six weeks you can't do
this theater job and he's like what do you mean right right oh boy oh boy boy oh boy yeah all
right i think this was great i think it is crazy i think how how successful of a job the show does
at just you know sewing in all of this tension you know throughout the entire season and it feels
like to me as an audit first time audience member where i'm like i am very invested to figure out
what happens next episode yeah totally no no absolutely and it feels it does feel different
you know when you're filming it it's like there's only so much i don't know information when you're
reading the page especially about other storylines that are not yours that you can kind of like take
in you know um but it just it really does like seeing it all together just like it really
effective we're both writing in the notes like omg you know yeah that was like part of the
advertising for the show was like you know yeah like get your omg moments if tgit you know that
sort of thing um yeah and it's just like and we know we know better than most uh what happened
in a way yeah but also not because of our memories because of our memories before we go we need to
guess the title not guess the title guess who said the title of the finale we could never
never ever ever all right the season one finale episode 15 is titled it's all my fault
Oh, man.
Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.
I feel like it has to be Annalise.
I mean, I just don't know.
Like, even if someone else were to say it,
I don't think that they would make it the finale line
if someone else said it.
I could be wrong, but I have to say Annalise.
Yeah, I think Annalise is a really good guess.
just because where we left off in this episode i'm gonna guess rebecca i you know i also had
that second thought you can only have one no i have two thoughts um but that i mean that would
be heartbreaking if that is the case too like we see like a moment of like you know oh my god i
hope that's not rebecca all right so you're gonna lock in annalise i'm gonna lock in rebecca
we'll find out next time
