We are in the middle of an authoritarian coup. There's no question about it. The larger players appear to be Russia. But don't take my word for it. Let's listen to Professor Jeff Jarvis on CNN last night. Say it directly to the embarrassing MAGA, and I say this loosely in quotations, pundit, Scott Jennings. You said it was destroying the newspaper because they failed to endorse Kamala Harris. I mean, what does that say about a newspaper that you have to endorse a certain political party and for it to survive? That's not the way it happened. What happened was that the editorial board had an editorial done and ready, and that was the process. And then suddenly to say, well, now we're not going to endorse. They've endorsed

other things since. It was the process by which it went under there. And there's other things going on constantly in the paper. I now use the hashtags broken times and broken post. The headlines in both papers, I think, are constantly off, constantly trying to soft pedal what's going on. You're not going to like what I'm saying next, but we are in the middle of a totalitarian fascist coup in this country. And when we don't call it that, when we soft pedal it, we don't have a real discussion about it. At least here, I could say those words. We could have that discussion. You will not see those words in the New Yorkork times or the washington so the attack starts obviously the press because the facts are not popular to the um cult so they have to attack the press they have to suppress the press and the washington post which was so integral in exposing corruption during the Nixon campaign.

Their motto was democracy dies in the darkness. And I think there's no question that today democracy dies with Jeff Bezos. Absolutely. It is unbelievable to me that he is now, I mean, the lead editor resigned. He's now going to be in charge of the content of the editorial board and I always think are Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk sucking up because they want to put rockets in the sky but that's you know that's a discussion for another day what bothers me about this is we see the White House press corps which has always been chosen by the correspondents in Washington now it's going to be chosen by the White House. The AP has already been kicked out of the Pentagon and the White House briefing room because they refuse to call it the Gulf of America. And facts matter. And when you limit

news to only cover the propaganda of the administration, that is fascism. There's absolutely zero question about it. There is an assault on all institutions right now, and the First Amendment is the biggest pillar. And this has been a decades-long attack, and Fox News, when they first came out, gaslit the American public. Fair and balanced, because they knew. They knew that when their policies

were exposed truthfully and all of their corruption was exposed truthfully, their numbers, their base diminished. But if you want to know why is Jeff Bezos engaging in all of this, look at this graph. If you see this graph here, 25 US cities that subsidize Amazon the most. This equates to billions of taxpayer dollars. These oligarchs right now and their sycophants and their acolytes are going on the news circuit, attacking people on food stamps, calling them parasites. And at the end of the day, the parasites are these big corporations. When they go belly up, who has to bail them out? We do. We bail them out. And Donald Trump and MAGA and then the Republicans before them have successfully, for years,

scapegoated the poorest, most vulnerable, which they never get bailed out. It's always these corporations that get bailed out. Trump most recently is like, Ukraine needs to pay us back. Ukraine needs to pay us back. Well, you know who needs to pay the United States of America back? The airlines, the auto industry, the banking industry, Amazon, Elon Musk, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. That is who really is the parasite in this country. Well, and also add Russia to that list. They're the ones that

attacked Ukraine. Ukraine wouldn't need the U.S. and other countries help that for Russia. But all of these billionaires sitting around talking about government waste while they are the biggest parasites. The hypocrisy is astonishing. It's almost evangelical Christian level in my mind. Yeah. I mean, I think that that's the playbook, isn't it? I mean, that's the grift.

That's the absolute playbook. We have the answers as to what's good for you. You just have to pay. The payment is a part of this. All right. Next up You just have to pay. The payment is a part of this. All right, next up, no surprise to anyone, John Roberts, the chief justice, is already doing Trump's bidding. Reuters reports, U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts on Wednesday paused a federal judge's order requiring President Donald Trump administration to pay foreign aid funds to contractors and

giant recipients for past work. So Roberts has put a pause on this. And it's important to note that John Roberts' wife has made tens of millions of dollars working for elite law firms, getting cases in front of the Supreme Court in which her husband has judged upon. And then you have Jenny Thomas who planned a coup. You have Sam Alito whose wife has a hobby of flying tyrannical flags at all of their many properties. So there's no question the Supreme Court is in on this. The fix is in, you guys.

The fix is in. They are demolishing the press. Russia seems to be in charge of the country. The fact that the United States of America went to NATO and voted with the axis of evil, and that is not on news 24-7, 365, the way they covered Obama's tan suit, tells you everything you need to know. This is a Russian long game that they have played. And he is winning. Vladimir Putin is winning the hearts and minds of Americans. They are out saying now, oh, no, I know what you heard the last few years, but it was actually Ukraine that attacked Russia. Vladimir Putin is a war criminal. He kills opponents. He kills members of the press.

This is the most dangerous thing that this country has ever seen. And you have people like Jeff Bezos who have been a recipient and a beneficiary to the quote unquote American dream. And instead of having gratitude and instead of having a backbone and instead of having integrity, he wants to tear it all down and my question is for what so you can have more money you already have the biggest shots in the world you want to get you know rockets into space okay why not what would it hurt if you contributed what would it hurt if you saw the good in people and had compassion, but they don't. And I will tell you, when I saw the Supreme Court ruling Justice Roberts coming out and saying that the lower court overstepped in those payments, it made me physically sick. I mean, I am sick because I was one of those stupid, optimistic people that thought the courts would hold the line for democracy and the lower courts have.

But I had this like faint hope that John Roberts and the handmaid would do the right thing. Now, I knew the other, you know, the three super conservatives, I knew they wouldn't. But John Roberts, he's in on the fix. This is so terribly offensive and disgusting what they are allowing Elon Musk to do and the Supreme Court being in on it. I am absolutely astonished at what the Supreme Court has turned into. Yeah, but we always have to look. They leave breadcrumbs. And we have to look at what they did before this. And that's the mistake that many Americans make. We operate under the assumption of goodwill, and that doesn't work anymore. That doesn't work at all. And the Supreme Court could have ended this Trump reign of terror

before we got to this point, and they didn't. And they are going to cede power to Trump. I think the fix is in. I think a large portion of the American government is completely compromised. The First Amendment is right up on the chopping block right now. And people are going to completely suffer. And so you have the lower income working class of Americans that suffer the most from all of these policies. You never see the minimum wage raise up. You see they're constantly demonized for being poor. You're lazy. All of the tropes that come out of the Republican Party.

I think it's going to start hitting the middle. We don't have a big middle class anymore, but the upper middle class and upper class. Let's put up this next headline. The economists are starting to worry about a serious Trump recession. And I'm no economist, but I can kind of piece together that if you are eliminating spending from the federal government, laying off hundreds of thousands of federal employees and tariff here, tariff there. No, JK, no tariff. And then destabilizing the United States position as a leader for democratic ideals in the world and saying very provocative things about Europe. Basically on the precipice of some really nefarious stuff with Canada, who was one of our

biggest friends forever. This is very destabilizing and the economy and consumer enthusiasm is completely falling off. And I want to remind everybody that the most conservative paper, the Wall Street Journal, like two weeks before the election, did an article, whoever wins, they will inherit a very strong economy. The stock market was booming. Inflation was receding. Unemployment rate was very, very low. And the feds were about to lower interest rates. Recession is now skyrocketing. The feds will not lower interest rates. The housing market is going to tank. Hide and watch in everybody's 401ks, in my opinion, and again, I'm no economist. I think we've got 60 to 90 days before we see a massive plunge. I don't think there's any way

around it. And again, I'm not an expert on the economy, but if you are going to pass on consumer price increases without raising wages, when you're getting rid of swaths of the federal government and privatizing everything, it is unbelievably going to hurt the American economy. And stock markets and investors, they like stability. Well, Donald Trump is an agent of chaos. And how much have we heard about, oh, these tariffs are going to fix everything? These tariffs are not going to fix everything they're going to make everything infinitely worse turning away from nato what your attacks on canada all of this makes the us it has effects on the u.s economy and i just want to say again this is how donald trump runs his private business he runs

them in to the ground and that's what he's doing here. You're exactly right. I mean, he is a terrible businessman. Elon Musk is a terrible businessman. Take away the government subsidies from Elon Musk. There's not this much success. And look at what he's done to Twitter. It's lost 80% of its value and it's turned into a white supremacist, racist, Nazi shithole. But I want to leave you guys with some hopium because all of that is terribly depressing and it takes a toll on both Pumps and I to stay abreast of the news all of the time. I know it takes a toll on each and every one of you that follow this, that care, that give a shit. There is some friends of ours, the Midas Touch, and these are three brothers that have fought

the good fight for democracy. They've knocked off Joe Rogan from the number one podcast. And now the Midas Brothers are at the top. But I want to tell you all a personal story about the Midas Touch. And these guys, they walk the walk and they talk the talk. They are now barnstorming the country, fighting for democracy. Last night, they were on MSNBC.

And I want you to listen to this clip. Brett, that's sort of one of the reasons you land, because a knock has been that Democrats are so focused on being super inclusive. They're leaving out guys who essentially look just like the three of you. Yeah, listen, I think you need to speak authentically. And I don't think you need to box yourself into any particular framework. And I think people frequently want to box you into frameworks. But I think you just got to be yourself.

And you got to focus on what are the biggest issues that are going on right now. And right now we have a president of the United States and his billionaire oligarch buddy who are essentially leading a coup against the united states from within and i think people are looking right now for people to call this out for what it is every single day unapologetically to meet the moment to use the language that they are using and i think you have to just understand your audience and understand what people are craving right now to geordie's point people are craving fighters if you're not meeting the moment if you're not speaking to these issues, and if you're focused on kind of sideshows, then people are going to get distracted. People are going to want to tune out. But if you're

focused on the main issues of our time, which is saving our democracy and protecting the United States of America, as we all knew it, as our grandparents all knew it, then I think you have a place here. Integrity, fearless. This is what the country needs. And all of us on the left, all of us, and I don't even think you can say left anymore, all of us that believe in democracy, and that can include people on the right and people in the center, but all of us that oppose fascism, totalitarianism, and the demise of our country. We all need to unite together because let me tell you something, that is what male leadership looks like. And I'm going to leave you all with this. MAGA, who goes on and on, Jesse Waters, every chance he can get, he wants to talk about how butch he is, how masculine he is, and how butch Donald Trump is, what a study is.

Put up this next headline. GOP leaders advise lawmakers to simply stop hosting town halls. They are chicken shit cowards. MAGA is the party of chicken shit cowards. They lie. They use people's faith against them to manipulate them. This is the most corrupt administration this country has ever seen by a long shot. The only thing that these people are competent about is their corruption.
