It would be very difficult to out crazy and do a worse job than Fox News does in quote unquote journalism.
But CNN is giving it its all. In the last 24 hours, it has been a complete disaster.
Let me play the clip for you.
So he has a long record of supporting the Jewish people,
number one. Number two, anybody who is asserting this thing he did on the stage the other day was
a SIG Heil, which I just heard you say, you know, lawyer up maybe, because absolute ridiculous
thing to say under no circumstances. The Nazis in Germany thought it was a SIG Heil.
Under no circumstances was he doing anything other a SIG Heil. Under no circumstances was he
doing anything other than expressing enthusiastically his appreciation to the crowd.
Why don't you do it on TV right now if you think it's so...
Number three.
So, you know, number three.
So, so...
I mean, to sit there and defend Elon Musk and say that he has this long, great, you know, history of supporting the Jewish people
is such bullshit. His website, formerly Twitter, now X, is a cesspool of anti-Semitism. All of the
right-wing groups are all chips in on his Sig Hiles. There's no question on the planet that Elon Musk did that intentionally. And I read
recently that one of Elon Musk's former best friend believes that he did this because he was
threatened by Steve Bannon telling the far right MAGA people, like, we don't want Elon Musk near
the West Wing. We don't want him near the Oval.
He did that to signal to Trump's base like, hey, I'm here.
And this friend believes that Elon thought because he's so narcissistic, he thought the
audience was going to do it back to him.
Oh, my gosh, that is so offensive.
Here's what I have to say about Scott Jennings. I cannot believe he made it
onto TV after the absolute jet stream of bullshit that he proceeded to tell night after night on
CNN. It is absolutely indefensible. And I would have more respect for someone that said,
I really like Elon Musk. I'm all in on white supremacy. I'm all chips in
on Donald Trump and him making rich people richer, poor people poorer. I like the cruelty.
And just say, you know, I just cannot defend that symbolism that he used. I can't defend it. I like
him. I like everything about him, but that is a bridge too far. But they sit there and they lie. They lie. Oh, that's not what he did. Really? Because
the white supremacy groups sure did know exactly what he did. This is absolute. It's unconscionable
that this man sits and defends Elon Musk for this behavior. Look no further than the jokes that he made about the Jewish people.
And it's just, it's unbelievable that anybody would be stupid enough to sit there and defend
this type of behavior when there is a long history of exactly who Elon Musk is. And here's the thing,
we know exactly who Trump is too, because he's never come out and said, you know, I love Elon. He's my doge guy.
He is just Mr. Efficient. I love rockets. But that probably he should have done better.
He didn't mean to do it. And he apologized. There's none of that. It's just, you didn't
see what you saw. You didn't see it. The larger problem here is that CNN wants to be taken seriously. We've all known for a very long time that CNN is not serious.
And they are allowing this anti-Semitism and this gaslighting to be mainstream because there is this desperation from some people within the Democratic Party, definitely mainstream media, to try to, quote, reach out to MAGA,
to reach out to those on the right. This is called appeasement. You do not appease these ideas.
Scott Jennings should have been fired on the spot right then, right there. He should have
been completely terminated. When you start gaslighting the public pertaining to egregious human rights
violations in which the Hitler salute represents, that has to be a deal breaker. That has to be a
deal breaker. But all of the appeasement, you see it with corporations, this corporate news,
and you see them appeasing this type of behavior
and trying to make room and space for it and making it's okay, because they know the Trump
base is like, oh yeah, the moderates, they're like, well, no, you didn't really see that.
So here we're going to juxtapose Scott Jennings' face plant with an actual journalist that CNN has.
Kylie, play the clip.
Son of a Cuban refugee, I took home this lesson. It is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant.
I've always believed it's the job of the press to hold power to account. I've always tried to
do that here at CNN, and I plan on doing all of that in the future. One final message.
Don't give in to the lies.
Don't give in to the fear.
Hold on to the truth and to hope.
Even if you have to get out your phone, record that message.
I will not give in to the lies.
I will not give in to the fear.
Post it on your social media so people can hear from you too.
I'll have one more. Post it on your social media so people can hear from you too. Scott Jennings has a job and he does not.
That is abhorrent in history.
And now all of these computers are recording every single bit of this.
The original appeasement to Donald Trump by corporate America, mark my words, is incredibly short-sighted. They
already have egg on their face. The corporate media needs to be holding them accountable,
but they're just as beholden to these fascists as the Jeff Bezos and the Elon Musk and the Mark
Zuckerbergs. This is a very short-sighted strategy. Tech stocks are already tanking. And I completely agree with Jim
Acosta. Do not be scared and stand up for everything that we still have, because this
is identical appeasement, exactly what happened in World War II. It is so refreshing to see that
somebody had enough conviction in what they believe and for to want to tell the
truth because the lies are easier to hear. I mean, they're telling lies faster than people
can fact check. It is easier to just ignore it and do what the mate, the same washing
and half reporting on it. And Jim Acosta had enough conviction that he was willing to quit his job versus bowing down to this type of crazy
gaslighting that is so harmful. So good for him. I'm really impressed.
Let me push back a little bit. Is it easier when you see somebody do a Nazi salute,
which we all know what it is. We've all watched movies, studied history, et cetera. Is it easier
to believe that's not what that was?
Because to me, it takes a lot more mental gymnastics to go through a place where all
of a sudden you've said, oh, he's extending his heart to people, which that was not the message.
That was not what he did. And so I think that corporate America has egg all over its face because they have grifted
off of all of us for a very, very, very long time.
And they have found a president that has given them moral space to say, it's OK, the
president of the United States does it.
Nothing really means anything anymore. So now they're all able to pile on and this greed at the thesis sentence in a history book of what will have killed America,
it will be greed. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. And I just think it's easier to say,
oh, well, he didn't mean to do it to the masses versus examine the problem of why he did it and why he is around the president of
the united states we have to bet we can't be easier to say that the easiest thing is the truth
the truth is they're not and the headline is elon musk did back-to-back nazi salutes that's the
easiest that takes the least amount of effort because it has video evidence that backs it up. All of this other
shit is mental gymnastics and multiple other steps engaged in gaslighting, and we cannot cave to any
of it. The easiest thing is exactly what your eyes showed you. The headline writes itself,
Musk does back-to-back sick hiles. The video completely backs that up. That's simple. We cannot overcomplicate the truth.
The truth needs to be stated plainly and clearly. And we can't go down these rabbit holes where we
think it's complicated to tell the truth because that's what they do. They exhaust you with
complication of telling the truth. And we cannot concede to that because the easiest thing on the planet is reporting exactly what we all saw with our very own eyes.
I completely agree. I hope that they do that, but I've yet to see any evidence that they're
not willing to do backflips to try to justify his behavior and Trump's behavior.
That's a good point. Okay. We'll see you guys later.
