In a breathtaking turn of events, California Governor Gavin Newsom committed social suicide yesterday when he started his new podcast. This is Gavin Newsom, and he invited racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic Charlie Kirk to be his first guest in this whole new, we're going to try to understand MAGA that Democrats are doing. Watch this really cringy clip. You talked about it the other day. A lot of folks were talking about that Carville article where he talked about- Roll over and play dead. Roll over. In essence, he said that I think it was a strategic retreat, right? That we need to come back. Trump's starting to implode.

His numbers are getting soft. This was even before the tariff issues, et cetera. And then come back and strike when hot. And I immediately, no BS, thought about you, who's just 24-7 flooding the zone, owning this space, every day getting a convert, every day picking up one, two, 10,000 folks, continuing the momentum, coming out of this damn election. And then I'm thinking about, we're going to stand back and watch you run circles around us for six months, the next two or three years, waiting for the moment to finally strike. Struck me as not necessarily the best advice, and it's not a knock on Carville, who I have deep respect for. What's your thoughts? I don't think that's okay. So I don't have to. He's read about one thing in the last 40 years. It's economy is stupid. And boy, he spent down that one line pretty amazingly. Yeah,

I hope you guys retreat. You kind of like the advice. More for us. I mean, there's no opposition. There's no activist spark. You guys are posting these cringe videos on social media. What are the videos? What are the ones that are most cringy? I don't know. This like harmonious thing of like 22 senators all saying the same thing like that yeah I didn't like it go ahead go do more of that what do you do but what do you do seriously Charlie Kirk give us some better ideas governor okay speaking of cringe videos that Democrats post that's one right there are you kidding me you're the governor of California and you're asking some fringe right wing commentator, what do we do? Give us advice.

One of the first lessons I saw, and I'm not a political strategist, is they don't relent. They have conviction in their insanity. They don't placate. They don't appease. They don't placate. They don't appease. They don't do this shit. They came down, he came down the escalator in 2016 and he's been bat shit crazy ever since. And they've just all jumped on board and they have to shape shift and change their convictions all the time. This is one of the more pathetic displays I've ever seen. You know what I think this is? I think this is a

bunch of people sitting around a table going all right newsome all right you we want you to be president okay so you need to do podcasts and they're like okay all right let's call rogan let's call you know when they start listing them off and then somebody's like no i have a better idea right you be the podcaster you do it they're like oh yeah yeah i'll do yes yes yes i'll do it okay well then what can we call it? And they come up with all these stupid names and then some, you know, millennials like, I've got it. This is Gavin Newsom. And then they're like, okay, let's, let's workshop the guest. Let's workshop it. Let's talk about who we can have first. Yeah. Let's get fringe right-wing commentator, Charlie Kirkcon.

Are you kidding me? This is so pathetic. This is not this moment. This man, Gavin Newsom, the one thing that he could do is lean in to his progressive principles because just like there was a white lash after Barack Obama's two terms, there is gonna be a Trump lash, right? And he's gonna be excluded from being at the top of the list for this

ridiculous circle jerk that I just witnessed with him and Charlie Kirk. Honestly, when this first came out, I thought that it was AI. I did not believe that someone as smart who I've seen just eat kitten heels DeSantis for lunch would do this. This was such a strategic error. It was weak. And I'm with you. This, like, I appreciate wanting to attack all the time. But you start by attacking Charlie Kirk, not having him a guest on your podcast. You start attacking him for the misogynistic, racist, homophobic asshole that he is.

You don't ask him fucking tips. Or if he's on the podcast, call him out. But let me just play for you all. You saw how friendly he was. And he asked, I want you to think about this. The governor of his state is like the seventh largest economy in the world. Just the state. He asked this guy, and we'll play the clip of Charlie Kirk. He asked this guy for advice. Play this clip. I think women are so liberal.

You know, there's a lot of father issues there. Lot of daddy issues, for sure. The biggest thing is this, more young women need to get married at a younger age and start having kids. The single woman issue is one of the biggest issues faced in a civilization, yeah. We have more single women in the early 30s that are the most depressed, suicidal, anxious, lonely

in America's history because there's a biological clock that's going on and they realize that they're not gonna be able to have kids and that they're not as desirable in the dating market or in the dating pool and so they start to lash out on the rest of society by voting Democrat. So date like you're gonna marry, I guess. That's gonna be-

Well, yeah, just get married early. Like, reject the siren song of modernity and have lots of kids. Like, being a partner at a local law firm actually isn't that big of a deal. Having three kids is a really big deal and will make you happier. And it's okay to be a stay-at-home mom.

In fact, we need a lot of stay-at-home moms. And a lot of women wanna be stay-at-home moms. And we have miserable women because we've been shuffling them into a corporate wasteland when in reality, a lot of women want to be stay at home moms. So I'm not going to get into the merits of all the stupid shit he says, other than to say there is a problem right now and it's with young men, right?

And all of the data shows that young men are having a problem because they're unable to handle the success of women and other minorities and marginalized groups being on equal footing as them. And there's a little whiplash problem that they're dealing with. I don't want to get into all of that. That's not what this is about. I want to get into Gavin Newsom saying several things in this podcast that I'm not going to play for you because it's insulting to your intelligence. But one of the things he says, he looks at Charlie Kirk and he said, talks about his faith and he goes, and I respect the hell out of your faith. You know how Gavin Newsom does.

And I'm going to tell you about Charlie Kirk's faith. Initially, when Kirk started the Turning Point, he criticized the evangelical movement. And then he was arguing for secularism. Since then, he has reversed this stance because he realized all the money is in the grift that is evangelical Christianity and that you can go into these evangelical churches that are big, big stadium-sized places, and you can get followers and indoctrinate people into your politics, so it's more profitable and easier to brainwash people. And Charlie Kirk learned this very easily.

So his faith is nothing short of performative, for-profit bullshit. He rails against—you just saw women, he rails against the LGBTQ plus movement. And he also bust people to the January 6th insurrection. And he now believes, Kirk now believes that we are in the end of times and is one of these rapture preppers and believes in the spiritual warfare. But yet Gavin Newsom respects the hell out of his faith. And this is a man, Gavin Newsom, who was the mayor of San Francisco. And I remember when I was a young liberal, late 20s, I would watch Bill Maher during the George W. Bush era. And I felt so isolated in Oklahoma because everybody's just so Republican and Christian. And so I remember seeing a young Gavin Newsom, a white, hetero male,

speaking about gay people having the right to marry. And at the time, they didn't have the right to marry. And I'm a decorator, and I've always had a ton of gay friends. And I was like, wow, this guy is going to be president one day. This is incredible. So to watch this face plant and watch him harm the LGBTQ plus community the way he has is so worrisome for me. And our producer, Kylie, some friends of theirs that are two lesbians live in Oklahoma that got married recently. They're not influencers. They

don't have huge Instagram followings are receiving really homophobic DMs like, fuck you, F-A-G-G-O-T. I hope you die. I hope you rot. And I want you to know this, Gavin Newsom, the message I just told you about, that's not happening in a vacuum. The Charlie Kirk saying all that stuff about women, we can't tweet anymore. We can't go on Twitter anymore. We don't talk about it that much, but we get these horrible death threats and these horrible messages because Twitter's not a safe place for women or for gay people or marginalized people because of people like Elon Musk and because of people like Charlie Kirk. And we expect people like you to fucking have a backbone and stand up for us. And instead you sit down and basically give him a blow job.

Are you kidding me? Are you serious right now? It's just, and you've been on our podcast and I used to respect the hell out of you. But right now, all across this country, people are getting bullied for being women. People are getting bullied from being gay because this isn't the golden era. This is the age of emboldenment. And you sitting down with him and sitting there saying, give me advice, further emboldens these hateful, evil, diabolical people that are MAGA Republicans. This is a swing and a miss. And in my opinion, it is political suicide. Shame on you for turning your back on women and

shame on you for turning your back on the LGBTQ plus community. That is disgraceful. It is deplorable. It is really sick. It is a really sick thing that you did. I couldn't agree more because in our conversation with Gavin Newsom, he was such an advocate and an ally for the advocate. I do that every time. For the LGBTQIA plus community. And to see him do this, I think it further makes these people feel marginalized and it makes those communities feel marginalized and unsafe. And he, of all people, should know that and do better. And I mean, as of right now, this just I cannot imagine him being able to recover from

this. This was such a bad call. What they're thinking is and you can you can play the tape through. They're thinking, OK, when Obama won, he originally, when he campaigned, there was this big anti-gay marriage movement. And Obama said he opposed it. And then he evolved on it. The situation is so different because Obama was just like a green, he had one Senate term. I mean, he basically ascended so quickly.

Gavin Newsom has decades of being on the record as being an ally for the LGBTQ plus community. And I think this is just the biggest face plant I have seen. And when the Democrats sit down and start appeasing Nazis like this. And that's what this MAGA movement is. It is a Nazi movement. This is just like, basically, in my opinion, you're sitting down with a Hitler propagandist. There's no difference. There's no daylight between that. This is a very serious moment. And this is a time for people to unapologetically stand up for democracy.

And that means democracy for everyone. And that's what Democrats stand for. Or to do it, appease, be an appeaser, appease the Nazis. But this is pathetic. But I want to leave you all with this because sometimes these news reports are so depressing. I have long thought that MAGA's numbers have been completely inflated. If you look at the tail end of the election, Trump couldn't fill stadiums. He moved his inauguration from outdoors to indoors because his ego couldn't handle the optics of another limp dick crowd size. And so here we have Barack Obama who goes to a Clippers game a couple nights ago. And watch this standing ovation. What I have to say to MAGA Congress people that want to change the Constitution so that Trump can run for a third term, do it.
