The Texas Republican Party is every bit as incompetent as Donald Trump. The, they brought in an elephant for some big shindig they were having with the governor there. Let's play the clip. That's so perfect for MAGA that is so on brand for MAGA Republicans to hire a company that beats elephants. I mean, there has never been a more perfect hire for them than this. But it gets really bizarre and takes a bizarre turn.

So there's a Muslim man who wants to go to the Texas GOP convention. Pop this up. A Muslim Texan hoping to participate in the state Republican convention left in tears after being told explicitly that he should leave the country. Muhammad Hussein was among four Muslims who arrived at the convention in earnest and were met with discussions of Sharia law that veered into outright Islamophobia. At the biennial state Republican convention this week, hundreds of attendees packed a ballroom, some sitting on the floor or standing at the back for one of the most popular panels, don't Sharia my Texas. This is just such blowhard bullshit that Republicans do. The biggest threat in Texas, the biggest threat in this country are the Christian nationalist that want to control women, that want to take away a woman's right to vote, that have dismantled the Voting Rights Act, that are anti-LGBQ Plus.

I guarantee you these white people praying with Muhammad there. I bet they are stage five melting down about Pride Month. I bet they are completely beside themselves. And then of course, Ken Paxton, senatorial candidate, he coins a new nickname for James Tala Rico, play the clip. And now he actually kind of likes it.
